Terneus Andros

Time: Dawn
Location: Sun elf village

A man came running up towards the gates leading to the large official elven building, it's mighty tower reaching up far and giving an imposing impression to those beneath them. As to say that they were being watched and judged by some form of divinity. The elven man was panicked and carrying a sack with something round inside of it, he pleaded to the two guards by the gate to grant him access, to which they shortly obliged. Up in the tower, at the outmost top floor a window was being opened and the morning sun was shining into it's reflection.

A silvery haired elf gazed out of the window, his arms behind his back as he watched the many elven buildings that was surrounding the tower. A plateau for those which prefered extravagance view and a feeling of superiority. The doors to the top floor was hastily opened after awhile, two of the white and blue coloured guards stopped a panicky looking elven man with the same outfit as they wore.

"My lord Andros, I beseech you to please hear me out!" The elven man said in a loud tone of voice, desperation making itself visible but also heard.

The silvery haired elven man by the window turned around and raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner, his garment blowing slightly from the wind entering from the window. His red and white garments, being of the finest elven fabrics available, decorated with many fine patterns worthy of royals.

"Speak in a more soothing tone... allow him passage." The silvery haired elven man motioned with one of his hands that he took out from behind his back. Before he proceeded over towards a highly decorated chair, which was more like a throne than anything else. He sat down upon it and softly breathed out.

"You may speak. But be swift about it... my time is precious." He mused softly, looking at his fingernails to make sure each one of them were on par with each other. The panicked elf with the sack then threw himself to the floor, dropping the sack in front of himself.

"M-my lord Andros! One of the dark elves which were stationed outside of the Green Arrow Inn was slandering you and calling you untrue things. He even dared me to cut off his head! So I lopped his head off for his transgression!" The elf explained. The silvery haired elf on the throne stopped watching his fingers and narrowed his eyes, standing up swiftly, too swiftly to display any other emotion than raw anger.

"You did what?! These dark elves serve our king! What do you think his majesty will think of me if his troops are executed in a land where I govern?! He would deem me responsible, and -this- I will -not- allow!" Terneus Andros flipped a small nearby table with refreshments to the side, breaking glass and porcelain, but in a way it's contents wouldn't spill on him. He walked over towards the kneeling other elf, descending down three steps from his throne area.

"F-forgive m-me my lord! Please make use of my life in his stead! I can-" The panicked elf said in fear, raising his hands in some attempt to explain or defend his actions.

"Well said! Guards! Take him out and chop his head off at the town square! Forge a letter of appology to the dark elf he killed! Let it be known that I, Terneus Andros be a merciful governor and upholder of justice." The silvery haired elf yelled out loud to his guards.

"M-my lord! Please! I-I- My lord! I can still be of use to you! Noooooo!" The elf struggled as he was being dragged out of the room by the two guards holding unto both his arms, his feet hanging behind him sliding against the sleek floor.
Terneus sighed and adjusted his posture and ceased tightening his hands into fists, he walked over and took hold of his specially made mirror, which also was his weapon of choice. He looked into it, seeing something he truly appreciated. Himself. He had to make certain his minor outburst had not given his perfect face any bursted blood vessels.

'It isn't that I don't agree with you. In fact I agree that all of them should be wiped out, but when you dare to do things without my approval and threaten my plans, how could I possibly forgive you?' The elf thought as he began to walk over to his window, looking out of it and seeing the panicked elf being dragged to the town square to be beheaded.

"That will appease the bloodthirsty barbarians for the time being." He said softly, watching his guards execute their former fellow knight. Terneus allowed a soft sigh of relief out of his mouth, tossing a glance over to the dirty looking sack on his floor. It was then that his most favored advisor entered the chamber, accompanied by another knight.

"Lord Andros, I have a report for you." The knight said, offering a salute to Terneus.

"What is it now? Speak!" He demanded, rather than approved. His left hand placing itself at his waist, the morning light from the window illuminating the room and the white and red clad Terneus well.

"We have reports of his royal majesty's dragon being seen flying around the area." The elven knight said in a matter of fact tone of voice, keeping his stance firm and orderly.

"Soruklithbaal..." Terneus said out loud, his right hand reaching up to his chin in thought. "Tell me, what could possibly bring the king's dragon to fly all the way down here? What could possibly be important enough to warrant such attention?" The elf asked in a manner which would imply that he already knew the answer, and wanted to take delight in enlightening the less thoughtful or so he may have believed.

"Uhm.." The knight was about to reply, before his reply was cut short. "Because there has been either a DROM being found or even a human appearing. That's the only explanation. Am I wrong?" Terneus turned on his heel for a moment, looking over his shoulder to the knight.

"N-no.. no ofcourse not my lord." The knight replied, swallowing slightly his stance showing signs of weariness.

"No. I thought so. Since when have I ever been wrong? Haha... that would be the day." The silvery haired elf did a swift turn on his heel, waving with his hand in a nonchalant and dimissive manner. "You are dismissed, inform commander Feldrin that I expect good results. You are to search the nearby regions for any anomalies and bring them directly to me!" The elf demanded, pointing his index finger straight at the knight. "Succeed and you will be rewarded. Fail and I will be most displeased. Do you wish to see me displeased?" He added, not giving any further explanation than that.

"Ofcourse not my lord, I will inform him at once!" The knight bowed his head and began to walk towards the door with quick steps.

"Hold on. Pick that sack up and throw it in the trash where it belongs, I cannot tolerate it in here any longer." Terneus explained and waved his right hand in front of his nose. The knight complied and on hurried steps picked up the sack containing the head of a dark elf, before resuming his quick steps towards the door.

"My lord Andros, did knight Ashland have to die because of a dark elf? He did right in killing it." The blonde advisor, by the name of Halma said in a comfortable tone.

"Halma. Come here." The silvery haired elf beckoned for Halma to approach him, as he walked closer towards the window. "Look down there. What do you see?" Terneus asked once the blonde elf had gotten close enough.

"Our town my lord. Is there something in particular you want me to look at?" The blonde asked in a assertive manner, before he was grabbed by the collar of his shirt and slightly pressed out from the window.

"No. It's -my- town. -My- people. Everything here. This day. Tomorrow and forever. All of this exists solely because of my exploits. As long as I can keep the king pleased and not have his filthy minions slain. This place will see the dawn once again someday. Have you forgotten already? Tell me? Have I changed at all? Am I not as beautiful and determined as I were during the throne war?" The silverhaired elf asked, demanding an answer, shaking the collar of the much meeker blonde elf. Turning the blonde's face away from the city below, to Terneus own face.

"N-no.. my lord Andros, you haven't changed at all! You are still as graceful as you were during the throne wars. In fact your exploits from that time has been far greater than the books and tales have made justice of..." Halma added, breathing heavily but gradually calming down from his near death encounter. A fall from the tower would certainly kill him.

"Ahhh! They do me no justice at all, such ungratefulness are to be expected from those who are unable to comprehend the burden of ruling. You do understand me so well, Halma. Now I do think it is due time to visit the River Kingdom. I believe we should start our search there, have four of the knights go with us there. Tell Feldrin to take his men to Roshmi." Terneus carefully explained, his hand losening around Halma's collar and finally letting go. After which he took out a napkin to wipe his hand clean of any dirt that Halma may or may not have spilt on his attire. The silverhaired elf wouldn't take such a risk.

"As you wish my lord, I will gather the men and we shall set off once you are ready." Halma bowed deeply and excused himself.

"I am always ready... to do what is needed." Terneus looked out from his window, his mouth forming a wide smirk of satisfaction.

"Welcome, I would like you two to join O'Ner outside the Necropolis and find Xenelith to help him track down the humans. Also, I would like you to tell him to contact me with any information he has gotten so far regarding humans and those helping them with a solar box. I will give you a few items to help you during your mission." He said, reaching into his pocket and pulling four charms from his cloak. He handed one to Umber and the other three to Azriel. "These are enchanted with a tracking spell. You will need to keep them on you and not lose them. Azriel, I would like you to give the other two to O'Ner and Xenelith." He paused for a moment, heading towards the corner of the war room and picking up a palm-sized black crystal engraved with ancient demonic runes. Aklenroth returned to Azriel and Umber. He handed Azriel the crystal. "Be very careful with this and do not do anything with it until I give you the order. You may now head out." He said while motioning to the door.

As Aklenroth waited for them to leave, thoughts ran into his mind about the humans and the destruction they caused the last time they were in Avalia. He pondered on the words he would use for his speech. He would need to give some incentive for denizens of Avalia to help him or for the humans to give themselves freely knowing their inevitable fate if they did not. He headed to the back wall of the War Room and pressed on one of the stone brick. The wall began to recede, revealing a door to a staircase leading deeper into the Necropolis. Aklenroth followed the steps down, leading him to a small dark room. He raised his hand and blue flames sparked from his hand and floated towards four torches placed around the room. The torches lit aflame, revealing an old book on a pedestal. Aklenroth began reading from it to begin the ritual that would create an illusion of a translucent figure of himself, dressed in his robe and his skull staring straight down at the citizens, would cover the sky.

"Greetings citizens of Avalia. I have felt the disturbances of DROMs being used to summon humans. You all know this is highly forbidden. I offer you one thousand Amas for a human head, five thousand for ones captured alive and for those who turn themselves in, I offer you ten thousand Amas along with a spot in my army and protection or a chance to return to earth. I have raised my armies. By now they will have reached the mainland and will search your cities and villages for these humans. Those who protect or attempt to hide any humans will have their city or village purged and destroyed. You have been warned. I thank you all for listening. May you do the right thing." Aklenroth closed the ritual with the illusion of him fading from the sky. He closed the book, putting out the torches and moved up the stairs closing the door behind him.

Kyran woke to the smell of food filling his nostrils. He smiled as he began to open his eyes. A good meal would really make his day. He knew it was probably Risa and wished she wasn't so quick to push herself and would take some time to take care of herself before others. He began to sit up when the voice of Aklenroth started echoing in his head. He rubbed his eyes and looked around wildly, realizing Risa was not beside him. He started to panick. Where had she gone now? He rushed outside to see Risa but was quickly distracted by the sight of a large illusion of Aklenroth in the sky. Kyran slowly walked over to Risa, eyes locked on the bizarre illusion. He sat beside her while still being forced to listen to Aklenroth. "What are we going to do, Risa?" He questioned with worry in his voice. The severity of the situation was much more than he could have ever imagined. He reached his arm around her, pulling her close. She had been humming to a small bird. He couldn't help but smirk at her purity. "We shouldn't stay here long. With the human, we are in constant danger."

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Dawn
Location: Heart of the forest

The darkwinged fairy had made sure that Elsea had been taken care of for the night, with a bath, food and drink and a place to sleep. Among other things. Her questions answered, but Elthrael knew that more would come. He didn't mind it at all. He had planned for setting out at early morning, but that plan was cut short as he had woken up from his rest on hearing the unmistakable voice of the lich king. Aklenroth.

Elthrael had quickly grabbed hold of his sword, and stormed out of his hut where Elsea were still resting. Ready to fend off any attacker, even if it would be the lich lord himself. His wings carefully folded in to begin with, but flashed completely wide on exiting his hut.

'Have you finally chosen to reveal yourself you wretched immortal fool! Come and get me if you can! The earth is screaming for me to kill you. The spirits demand your demise.' He pointed his sword up at the sky, his hair blowing in the wind all around him, his wings fluttering slightly aswell.

'The only thing forbidden is your existance, you royal pretender. No coin in the world will be able to buy my heart.' He thought as the dark magics filling the sky began to fade, he sheathed his sword moments later, after making certain that there were indeed no foe nearby. He sighed slightly then chuckled as he began to grin, walking back towards his hut to get himself fully dressed and armored in his light carapace armor. "Elsea, We are going on a hunt, get dressed and arm yourself as you wish with these weapons and armoring over there." He pointed to his collection of stolen goods, from those unlucky to have come too close to the forest or dared venture into it.

"Do not bring any food or water unless it makes you feel better, nature will be able to provide us with both. But we've ought to be swift, thus we'll have to take a little flight to an area where we may find allies. The river kingdom of the fairies. It has been a long time..." He said, looking thoughtful, until he reached eye-contact with Elsea. "I do hope they've be the forget and forgive kind." He smirked slightly.

Corvina

Time: Past Midnight
Location: Forest of the peninsula of the Sun Elf Village
Interaction: @Inertia @Tae @AliveFalling

Corvina had been staring at her fire engulfed hands when a large tree randomly fell in between them and the Undead dragon. She jumped in shock and looked over to see it had been under Rei's control. What the hell was happening? Kenia's voice filled her mind but she hadn't understood it. When the woman tied a scarf around her neck, Cora had initially recoiled with fear. A moment later and logic filled her mind syaing the woman was protecting her and aiding her since she was on fire. The scene was a blur for her after then; the effect of trying to stabilize her apparent power and her concussion were mixing like soup and macaroni. Cora fixated on her burning hands and concentrated on seeing the flames disappear.

However, a shadow over her loomed quickly then landed behind her interrupting her focus. She had briefly seen or thought it was another dragon. A male's voice rose into the air next and guided them as well into safety. Kenia barked at him but she couldn't understand what was said. When Cora looked down at her hands, she found they were no longer engulfed in flames. She was going to interrogate these Elves and demand to know what the hell was going on, why they were there, and how did they suddenly have powers.

"Rei," Her vision began to blur and she saw dots. "I don't... I don't feel so well. This is obviously a terrible time but hitting your head does not exactly serve you any benefits." She hated to feel powerless but she was beginning to feel sick. After her hands had been engulfed, Cora's lightheaded aura and nausea had risen to unbearable heights. "I'm sorry," She gripped his arm tightly and hung onto him. She willed herself to follow Kenia and The Newcomer. Cora's vision faded in and out gradually, though she never let go of Rei.

Despite the madness, she found herself at ease, at least, beside him, but Kenia and the newcomer, not so much. Finally they reached their destination. She stumbled into the cave and moved towards the back of and laid down quickly. She heard Kenia snapping at the man for whatever reason, Cora could not figure out why. It didn't matter. Her head was spinning like a Ferris wheel. "We're in the Cave of Wonders, Rei. Enjoy," she whispered then passed out.

The angel glanced at her friend as he entered the room giving him the smallest of smiles before looking back to Aklenroth. Azriel stood as she listened to her king speak, explaining the situation and what they needed to do. He wanted them to meet with O’Ner and then go find Xenelith? Azriel briefly glanced back over to Umber, unsure how he felt about having to work with others. It wasn’t often that they had to work with others, mostly due to the fact that they didn’t get along well with others. If Aklenroth commanded it, however, she would obey. “Yes my lord.” She said as she took the charms and crystal from the lich king. “We won’t fail you.” She promised as she waited for Umber to head out as well.

Once they were out of the room and headed out of the Necropolis she turned to speak to her mentor. ”How do you feel about working with others to track down these humans?” She asked him, truly curious on how he felt. She personally would rather work alone with Umber to track down these humans and eradicate them from their home. It was at that moment that that she heard Aklenroth’s voice in her head making his announcement. She found it interesting that he was willing to keep the humans alive. Wouldn’t it be better to just destroy the threat?

They made it out of the Necropolis and found O’Ner rather quickly. She gave the undead quite the mischievous grin as she pulled one of the charms out of her pocket. ”Ah there you are O’Ner. It looks like our lord wishes for us to work together to track these humans. Are you up for the challenge?” She asked him in a sweet tone, however there was still that mischievous smirk on her face. ”Oh, Aklenroth told me to give you this charm. We are to keep them on us at all times. I have one for Xenelith as well once we find him.” She explained.

Elsea had fallen into a dreamless sleep, having been far too exhausted from the previous days events. She had barely even moved in her sleep, however the voice in her head and the swift movement of Elthrael next to her had her awaking with quite a start. Who was that and why could she hear him so clearly in her head. She watched as Elthrael darted outside with his sword and she arose quickly, keeping a blanket wrapped around her body. She glanced out the front door of the hut to see the face of something truly frightening she almost wondered if she were still asleep. There in the sky was a skeletal face speaking to them, informing them of the hunt for humans. The hunt for people like her. Of course this was how her morning would start.

Elthrael began to head back towards the hut and she looked at him his grinning face a bit suspiciously. That skeleton in the sky offered some sort of reward for her, despite all his talk of protecting her would he consider handing her over? That would be of benefit to him, would it not? She backed away from the door to let him in, keeping her suspicions to herself for the time being. If it came down to it the skeleton also offered a reward to those who turned themselves in. She didn't know if she could trust him either, but at this point she really wasn't sure if she should trust anyone.

She looked over to where he had indicated, not sure if he entirely realized that she had no skill with any weapons or armor. So she decided to start with the obvious at finding clothing since her tattered dress had been left down by the spring. So she started with the obvious, finding actual clothing. She started with looking at dresses, however, she began to wonder if pants would be more practical especially if they were to go hunting. In the end she settled on a white tunic with some reddish brown pants and brown boots. She found what she assumed to be leather armor and struggled to put it on, but accomplished it in the end. She found what looked like a dirk that she could attach to her hip, though she had no clue how to use it. She also settled on a bow and quiver of arrows as she had a tiny bit of experience with it thanks to her brothers. She was no expert though and would be lucky if she could actually hit a moving target.

She decided to quickly braid her long red hair out of her face before emerging from the hut. ”The River Kingdom? Have you done something that would offend them?” She asked him curiously after she had realized that he had said he hoped they could forget and forgive. Were they headed towards more danger? Was danger just her life now?

Before Cade had a chance to speak about the wonders of the Sun Elf Village a ghastly imagine appeared in the skies; an undead robed figure whom any Avalian would instantly recognize. He instinctively yet out a low growl that caught in the back of his throat as the accursed creature spoke, the fur on his hackles and tail stood on end in both rage and freight. It took him longer than he’d care to admit to realize this was some sort of illusion, more magical trickery from a creature with no real strength. The Lich King made an offer more generous than he would likely honor, it made the cities and towns instantly unsafe, for while he could trust the majority of light elves, fairies, and demihumans there was no way he could believe that not one in a village of thousands would not turn them in for personal gain. As the image left the horizon Cade felt his body shudder with fear.

“The lies of a creature of pure evil. Should you turn yourself into him I have no doubt he will end your life or find some way to compel you towards evil Ayita.” Cade said, urgency to his tone. “Although I have known the elves here to be creatures of light I cannot promise that not one among them would turn you in for greed and security. We should return to the forest, we can hunt there, this land has many animals and food to be foraged. It would be safer not to take chances in crowds.” Cade said, saddened that he could not show her the beauty that Avalia offered, but even a mighty cat was no match for legions of undead. As much as he feared Aklenroth, and his wrath, he could never break his oath to the human to protect her, to live as a coward was worse than a thousand painful deaths in his eyes. However, something Aklenroth said had given him hope, he had said humans. Ayita was not the only human in Avalia, the elves, or what he assumed had been the work of light elves, had brought more humans. There was rebellion in the air, his home was broken and this was Avalia’s chance to regain balance, and Cade needed to have a part in that.

“At the very least we must disguise you, I have no magic and little to offer in the ways of deception.” Cade said removing his hooded robe, it would be large on her but he hoped that his scent upon it could help mask her human one and the hood at least could hide her strange ears. “This could help hide you some, if there are other humans out there we should seek out allies in the same boat and we should distance ourselves from places we have been seen. Although Inori said the orc would not turn you in I fear this offer would be more than he can ignore. Luckily we are far from Daka, the island of the Lich, his armies would take days to reach this place but his dragon can cover ground far faster than those on foot.” He added wishing for more cover than the sparse area they currently stood.

He awoke in a field of flowers as a voice entered his perfect dream, he was outside Marseilles and he listened to the voice talk, and then a cold shiver went down his back when he woke in some random home. He looked around and he stared about, he looked as stones were laid around him and he stared at the creatures inside. False angels, and he could still hear the voice, speaking to him like a demon trying to judge him. It gave him a head ache, and he hated the voice.

He went out the door and he forced the door open with a loud slam, moving to the tree line and unbuckling some of his armor and his pants as he released himself for the morning. But the voice was still there, and he looked up as he saw the skull in the sky and dropped back as his hands went to the sky. "What in the name of god is that!" he yelled out stared up and he pulled his pants up.

Then the voice faded as it subsided, he had guessed a well bout that there was a bounty on humans. Wait, the hell is a human. Man... man, HE WAS A MAN! That must be why his weapons were broken and shattered his fellow compatriots who ran away were trying to disarm him. They were trying to take him for themselves.

He turned to the fairy which he ignored and looked at her nature loving self, "Why in gods name did you save me? You wanted that reward didn't you?" he asked with a scowl.

Hans awake in his turret listened to a voice, it was coming from the south. He poked his head up and saw a massive skeleton, first thing he did was throw down the chocolate square that he was munching on, it landing on the small tray of the ration pack. "Mein gott." he said as he listened to its words. "The soviets dogs are all trying to hunt us like dogs..." he said as he looked at the skellyman, "may god save us all..." he whispered as he looked up into the sky and listened to it till the words stopped. "The Reich will never give in to you!" he then sunk into the turret and prepared for an assault with his knife.

No one was replying to him, and then the skeleton had started to speak in the sky, his horse was fightened once again. Then he heard it, a head a man was a bunch of money. He took a deep breath, and tried steering his horse as best he could to where he knew the two turks were. He would fight them for those heads. He could have a good wife, a good second or maybe third wife, a star fort or two, and a small city.

"Out of the way peasants, the prize is mine!" he yelled out, wait, he was a human. I can hide in this armor, these people look weird, so I can just find something and make myself look like them. My wings, I am like them. Yes, it is all coming together.

The horse stopped and he lowered his lance, and forced the two people away from the bodies. "Away, these are mine, I claimed them when I arrived here!" he yelled out in polish, "Get away!" he yelled as he dismounted and he took the reigns of his horse as he moved to grab the first leg of one of the bodies. And he began pulling it towards the first, his lance going to anyone who got too close to him. "Mine!" he yelled out.

Time: After midnight
Location: In the woods of the peninsula west of Sun Elf Village.
Interactions: @Potter - Corvina, @Tae - Kenia, @princess - Malachi, @Alivefalling - Aklenroth's bony boi dragon.

Rei and company found themselves sprinting away from the dragon with a towering wingspan, it felt impossible to outrun. His 'magic' fascinated him, but did not have have the luxury to even give it a passing thought. A lithe figure dropped infront of them, pointed ears, another elf had jumped into their predicament. Another dragon had swooped into the scene, dashing right past them and into the much, much more gigantic dracolich. Is it attempting to save us? Rei thought, glancing over his shoulder, noticing the all too familiar look on the male elf's face.

During their sprint, Corvina hung onto his arm. She looked pale and unwell, moreso than before. Rei was confused for a moment due to her apologizing- there was no reason to do so, atleast in his eyes. "It's alright." Rei said, unsure if she was still able to hear him. Luckily he had decent stamina, despite his sneakers not being made for running, he supported her weight through the run. It was little trouble for him, if he could help her out, he would.

Finally, they had been ushered into a damp cave. Corvina mentioned a cave of wonders then promptly passed out. Even before fainting, she found it within herself to crack a joke. Rei noticed her shivering slightly; he took off his hoodie sweater, revealing a plain white t-shirt and turned it inside out, placing it ontop of the sleeping Corvina. His eyes then fell to the two elves who seemed to not be getting along well. With Kenia engaging in a spat with the newly joined male elf. She even pressed a dagger to his throat which caused Rei to jump up, "Hey, hey, you two look as old as I am." Rei said, sweeping the area infront of him with his arm, "But surely you elves must be more older and more mature than this."

"Were the stories about elves being filled with wisdom and maturity just not true?" Rei continued, knowing that that they were likely just embellished-fantastical stories, though his preconceptions of elves were gone. They felt just like humans, which was slightly comforting and worrying. Minus the elves otherworldly beauty, dragons and magic. It felt like a bad DnD fever dream. "Though, Kenia, ease off the guy a little, take a good look at his face." Rei said, "He just lost someone important to him."

"That aside, don't either of you have any sort of 'healing' magic, is that a thing here in Avey- Ava- Avalia, was it?" Rei questioned, "That girl- Corvina, needs it, and it's seems a little more important than this squabble."

----------
-------

Now that the adrenaline has worn off, a sudden tiredness and heaviness overtook his limbs. Rei had been up for about 3 days before being whisked into Avalia. Try as he might, he found himself leaning back into the cave wall and sliding down into the floor. "Godamnit." Rei said, struggling to keep his eyes open, "We'll talk about what the hell all this is tomorrow." With that he nestled his head into his knees and dozed off.

Umber had listened to Aklenroth in silence. He was studying Aklenroth as his orders seemed outside of the norm. Umber wasn't foolish enough to question superior, especially not with an audience.Umber and Azriel were rarely tasked to accompany others, especially not those with such high standing in Aklenroth's forces. Umber reached for the charm with one of his hands and allowed it to float from Aklenroth's grasp. The demon:s eyes narrowed as the charm sunk into his palm until it passed through the skin.

The black crystal that was handed to Azriel really grasped Umber's attention. He vaguely recognized the runes etched upon its surface and faced Aklenroth. If he could smirk, he would have.

"You have trusted the crystal with the best of your soldiers." Umber complimented Azriel, knowing full well that she wouldn't have any trouble safeguarding the items given to her.

With that, he floated out of the war room beside Azriel. There wasn't anything else that needed to be said, so he'd simply make his exit. Hmm… My dear Azriel. Umber was already aware of her thoughts before she raised her question.

"We work best in our pair… when we are tasked to exterminate our enemies, but unfortunately our lord may not want to completely eradicate his enemies. There are bigger schemes going on." Umber answered just before Aklenroth's announcement that only confirmed his suspicions. "We can aid in capturing the humans, but accomplices are fair game. We may be assisting Xenelith, but we are still Wraiths. Do not forget this fact Azriel."

Upon meeting with O'Ner, Umber kept silent whilst Azriel playfully teased the Aklenroth's undead general and informed him of their current assignment.

"Greetings General Faister."

Before even Cade could reply to Ayita though, a gigantic image would appear on the sky, interrupting both of them. It didn't take much to realize that the sinister, skeletal figure was Aklenroth, the lich and tyrant who were after the humans. His appearance could mean nothing more but bad news... With a serious expression, Ayita heard as the translucent image of the lich began talking, adressing all Avalia. The words Ayita heard were nothing short of... concerning... Aklenroth had offered quite a large sum of money as a 'bounty' for any humans, an even bigger reward for humans who were captured alives and interestingly enough, a reward for the humans who willingly turned themselves in, offering them not only money, but safety, a position on his army and even a chance for said humans to return to earth. If that wasn't enough, he finished his warning with a threat to everyone who either protected or attempted to hide any human, saying that he would not only eliminate them, but purge and destroy their respective cities or villages...

Even though Aklenroth's words made Ayita think, she knew better than to fall for his sweet words, no matter how sweet they might be. By everything she had heard about him and his own words, it was clear that he had no respect for life and was ready to sacrifice hundreds of innocent people just to find a human. She had no doubt that he would ravage cities without any hesitation if he knew a human was inside. Aklenroth's words were worrying for Ayita for a number of reasons... Not only his words made it clear that there other humans in Avalia, but that it would be even harder for them to find allies... Ayita knew very well how greed could easily twist someone's personalities...

"Don't worry, Cade... I am not as naïve as to believe a few sweet words... Neither me not my people would make the same mistake twice..." Ayita replying after hearing Cade's words, pleading her to not trust Aklenroth. Her last few words had a heavier tone to them, clearly indicating that such thing, being hunted and killed wasn't as strange to her as Cade might have previously thought.

Cade's next words were worrying, a harsh and cruel reminder that things would get even harder for Ayita from now on, but she knew that it was indeed true... The very place they thought it would be safe for Ayita, wasn't anymore. Even though the Sun Elves weren't exactly Aklenroth's allies, she had no doubts that many would be tempted by the promise of receiving vast quantities of money if they captured or killed a human.

Ayita had a worried expression on her face. She knew just how badly she needed powerful allies if she wanted to survive in Avalia, but it would be much more difficult now. Dealing with anyone, no matter who they were, would be an incredibly dangerous gamble. They could betray, kill or capture her as easily as they could help her, perhaps they would be even more tempted due to the rewards. As Cade handed her his robe, Ayita nodded in silence, thanking him.

"Yes... I too do think it will be safer in the forest..." she said, with a distant look.

"I don't know what I'll do now, Cade. It is incredibly obvious that, as a human, I will need powerful allies if I want to survive in Avalia, but now... It would be easier for someone to just kill or capture me for the money than to help me..." she finished.

"I... Thank you for everything you did for me until now Cade, but... I think we should part ways. There is no reason for you to put yourself in such danger for a stranger, someone you just met. There is no doubt you will be killed if you're seen with me." she said, looking to Cade. She couldn't ask him more than he had already done for her. Asking Cade to continue helping her and put himself into danger would be asking too much...

Even though Darius had moved between Myra and the green giant, she still didn't trust the female giant at all. Not only due to her eyes, but also due to her having raised her hands against Darius before. Despite her having sheathed her axes, she was ready to strike Darius if he hadn't used his water and there was nothing to prevent her from doing it again if she wanted... That said, when the green giantess appeared to ignore Myra, turning away from her, Myra got a bit confused. She clearly saw that the green giant had the intention of attacking Darius, yet she was fine now? She didn't know what the green giantess was saying, but hey gaze still was far from 'amicable'.

When Darius got closer to Myra though, after looking from her to Skar, he gently grabbed her hands, saying some words with a soft tone. While she still didn't trust the green giantess, it was clear to her that Darius was trying to calm her down and actively trying to prevent any more fighting. It did take some convincing, but Myra finally retracted her claws, assuming a normal posture again. Even though it was clear for Darius and the green giantess herself that Myra wouldn't attack anymore, it was also obvious that she was still wary and didn't trust her at all, especially due to her always keeping an eye on the green giantess and always being at a safe distance from her.

As Kuroi was ready to respond to the man speaking in some language unknown to him, his ears began to twitch as his eyes immediately shot to the sky. He squinted as he stared at the image of the talking skeleton head in the sky, carefully listening to every word that came from its mouth. After Aklenroth finished his speech, Kurai's eyes immediately shot over to the mounted man in armor, unsure of how to communicate with him properly. Despite all the ruckus his appearance had caused, no one seemed to be going after the outsider. It was strange, really, many Demihumans were most likely able to single out the scent of a human by pure genetic similarity alone. At least, that's how it was for Kuroi and his family.

The martial artist let out a small sigh as he carefully approached the man, wondering if he could find some sort of way to communicate with him. He stayed well out of the reach of Grzegorz's lance as he pondered for a moment. After a few seconds, Kuroi snapped his fingers and looked around the town for a spare piece of paper, be it a bag, a flyer, or anything that was big enough to write on. If he could find something he could write on and something to write with, Kuroi figured he'd at least be able to communicate with the man through pictures. Unfortunately, while looking around, he saw Grzegorz dash off to wherever he intended to go. Regardless, Kuroi had made up his mind to attempt to aid the human in any minor way possible. If he ever saw him again, that is. After all, Demihumans were very similar to full-bred humans, and it wouldn't be against Kuroi's nature to help a human out...provided his kindness wasn't met with kindness of course.

Regardless, all Kuroi wished for was to do a good deed. A silent one that could disappear in the night. All the other Demihumans would have possibly reported the man to the authorities by now or pounced on him themselves. Could their inaction perhaps be some mild form of empathy? Enough empathy to warrant turning a blind eye? Kuroi could only wonder as he began to follow Grzegorz far behind, hoping he'd eventually catch up to him.

O'Ner Faister

O'Ner was watching the image of his master giving his message to the people, He found his speech to be quite cliche but it would get the message across to the people. He was sure the human's were not going to turn themselves in, And the rest of the population would probably turn them in since one hundred million Amas would make a man sell out his own mother. But he just wanted this whole affair over and done with so he could go back to his garden.

His brief moment of peace was disturbed by the his comrades, "I was waiting for Aklenroth's suppose daughter to meet me here. But it seems she was swiped away" O'Ner was on his horse and seemed tower over the two of them. Looking over at the charm that was being handed to him. He was not sure why he would need the charm, He found it to be useless unless Aklenroth had but some sort of listening spell to listen into their conversation. Or the charm would be used to communicate with them, Either way he would take the charm placing it in the pocket of his robes.

After he had put away the charm he took a quick glance at the bracket around his wrist, It was given to him by his daughter when she was around eight years old. It had her initials on it and the message "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong". She had made it according to her mother and his late wife. It was on him when he was killed and buried. It reminded him of his past and the ones he love and continue to love.

"We should not waste anymore time, We should head quickly to where the human's are located" He spoke eyeing the both of them. He felt annoyance towards the both of them, He felt he was alone in being the only one that sees how wrong their ideology is. If only he stayed buried in the ground with his ancestors and not in this hellish predicament.

The hussar stared at everyone as he moved farther away, and once he reached and cleared the area around the other dead man on the street, he looked up and saw the people staring at him, not one would have the tool to cut the two men's head off, but he did, he knew hey were waiting. They probably weren't they were probably staring at him shocked as hell.

"I will cut down anyone who comes near!" The man yelled raising his lance towards a man who strayed too close, warding him away.

He took his saber and he placed it to one of the mens neck, as he placed a boot to the back of his blade and let it cut down into the mans flesh. He let it sink before he stomped down just hard enough to not break the blade on the spine of the man before he raised the head up. Tying the hair to something on his horses saddle and going for the next. This one was going to be easier, he had already severed a bit of the mans neck, and he quickly finished the job letting the head dangle.

Then he heard yelling, and he looked up as the crowd started to part. It was the guards, oh thank god, he could get his bounty.

"I have two human head, I require my coin up front!" he yelled out as he held the heads. "I will fight you for it if you try taking my bounty for yourselves!" he yelled out towards the people, "I the Heir of a Kur, Grzegorz claims hold over these two bounties!" he yelled out as the guard of the city approached.

"Sir, come with us. We will take you to the Bank of Roshmi and you will receive payment." said one of the guards to Grezgorz in Polish, using a handheld solar box to translate the man's voice. The six guards knew this was a human but they were bound to give the man his payment and not harm anyone giving bounties sent by Aklenroth. They stood ten feet away and aligned themselves around Grezgorz as they escorted him to the bank. "I am grabbing the heads." The same guard had told Grezgorz, removing the heads from the side of the horse. "I will be right back." He then told him, heading into the bank. It was only a few moments before he returned with two sacs of twenty platinum Amas. "Here you go sir." He said, handing him the sacs of money.

Time: Dawn
Location: The road Northwest to Moonelf village

Ambience:

Fintan was well on his way to the Moonelf village, his unexpected traveling companion sitting contently between the hay of his cart. The farmer simply smiled, wondering to himself what this young faun was doing all by himself on the great roads of Avalia. On his back he saw a well crafted wooden lyre, perhaps he was an artisan of sorts, a music maker. The road was getting bumpy and once every while, the cart made a jump, causing Ilan to lose track of his weaving with a surprised squeal. It was getting to a point where weaving was getting too much of a hassle so he stopped. He'd already made one to store the peaches he gave to Fintan. The faun was about to strike up conversation with the kind farmer when an enormous skeletal illusion appeared in the once clear and peaceful skies. It was their unrighteous king Alkenroth.

Once he got over his initial fright he listened to the words of the Lich King with wide and fearful eyes. He could not believe what he was hearing. Humans in Avalia.....
The dreaded figure disappeared as soon as it was done with its message. Ilan's mind was reeling. What did this all mean? He knew that at any moment Avalia could fall into war. His grandmother always warned him, prepared him for the possibility of needing to one day fight for his life. Ilan just hoped a hero would rise somewhere, raise an army and save everyone, just like the storybooks. Humans were being hunted, how terrible. He'd never seen one before, and from the stories he gathered they could be both good or evil. But Ilan did know one thing, Alkenroth was the evil he knew existed. He had to be stopped somehow. If the Lich King wanted the humans gone, he was probably threatened by them. What other reason could there be?

Fintan had stopped the cart and looked over his shoulder checking to make sure Ilan was still there. The faun seemed to want to bolt at the first sign of danger.
"Are you alright..?" The farmer looked concerned, not just with the wellbeing of his companion, but also with the news they had just received. Ilan simply nodded, momentarily at a loss for words.

They continued onwards in silence, both demi humans not knowing what to say to one another. Each lost in their own thoughts. A little ways up ahead, something large and metal was blocking the road. Fintan pulled on the reins, stopping the cart.
"Hoo...there boy...easy now." The horse snorted in protest at being halted again. Fintan grabbed his sickle, it being the only sort of weapon he owned. He jumped off the cart and motioned at Ilan to stay still and be silent, lifting a finger towards his mouth and pointing at the large metal construction. Neither Fintan nor Ilan had ever seen something like this before.

Ilan nodded again, looking around anxiously. He was mapping out his escape routes, if he needed to run. He kept his eyes fixated on Fintans back, his hands clutching the straw nervously. The farmer tapped on the metal shell of the turret with the sickle. Nothing seemed to happen....

He gazed back at Ilan with a questioning look. Fintan scratched the back of his head, not really knowing what to do. It looked some sort of weapon, but he didn't get the feeling it was dangerous at this moment. Ilan had cautiously made his way over the Fintan, taking very careful, calculated steps. As Ilan got closer, he felt his stomach turn with nerves. He let out a soft sight, trying to calm himself.

"What....what is it?"
He asked, pointing at the turret cautiously.

"Klopfe noch einmal, und die Wut des Reiches wird über dich kommen!" Yelled out a tired and gruff voice from inside. Thee was a hint of Youthfulness.

"Or if you are American or British dog of war, I surrender! I only have knife my machine gun is broken. I am the commander of this two hundred and seventeenth tank of the battalion. I am nineteen and i will tell you everything once I have food and water. And away from the Soviet bear... I'd rather endure your torture then to fall into their hands. " The voice would say once more.

"I would give you my personal arm but I have seemed to misplace it as well."

Hans was gripping his knife inside, he pulled all of his things into a single bag more or less to use as a blunt weapon of some sorts once he felt ready to jump out and attack.

The young frail boy leaped from the turret and fell flat on his face groaning, if there wasn't so much padding on him he would probably have broken a rib or something. He smelled horrid, like burn flesh, human excrment and war. His clothing which was too small for him and made him look like a German dancer with the tights was in tatters and the bag he held in one hand was bulging with items including a breif case with his formal uniform, cap and insignia. As if he was in another country trying to hide who he was.

There was a black knife with the blade out in the other hand, this hand was bandaged, red and brown stains in it.

"Fur... Fuck, it's a slav." He mumbled out softly, "Töte mich, and destroy what is left of my memory." He muttered staring at the turrets grey and black. He looked at the numbers on the stuff and insignia. "And do it quick... Your dog master has decided to put a bounty on man's head..."

Location: Wilderness Between Orc Landing and Illuminata Kingdom
Interaction with: Myra @13org

Darius felt a bit of relief when Myra retracted her claws and assumed an upright posture, but she still didn't appear to fully trust Skar. It was apparent with how Myra kept fierce eyes on the orc and made sure there was distance between Skar and herself. Darius was sure their animosity wouldn't go away any time soon, but at least he managed to keep them from attacking each other. His plan was to wait for them to cool off and then he'd fix something up so the two would have to tolerate each other.

"I think we should just start walking somewhere. But is there anywhere I can actually go? The forest is nice and all, but this is starting to get old." Darius directed this to Skar since he knew Myra wasn't much of a talker. He turned to Myra whose face was still a bit intense. "Skar isn't nice, but she saved my life and made a deal not to sell me to the Dark Lord. And she didn't even…" Darius stopped speaking the moment Aklenroth appeared in the sky above. "Whoa! Look at that! That's gotta be the Dark Lord. Right?" Darius pointed to Aklenroth's image in the sky and Skar nodded to confirm Darius' assumption. Darius smirked as he was excited to finally see the bad guy of the world he was now in.

May you do the right thing."

Aklenroth's projected image only left silence between the three in the forest. Darius looked to Skar who noticed was already looking at him. Their eyes locked and still there was silence. The message had the greatest potential to change everything if it was legitimate.

Avalia…

DROMs…

Summoned humans?

One thousand… Five thousand… Ten thousand...

"A chance to to return?" Darius broke the silence and shifted his eyes to look straight ahead. He nodded before speaking again. "Well, guess where we're going?" Darius said with a smirk. Skar raised an eyebrow at Darius.

"To Daka Island?" Skar asked. Darius walked over to Skar with that look of confidence he had when he attacked her moments ago. Skar found this expression to be the only quality she liked about the man.

"Uh… I don't know. If that's where that Skeletor looking guy is, then yes. This place is awesome and all, but I gotta get home. There's bills, work, and… responsibilities... Damn. Well I still have stuff to go back to, you know? You help me get to Daka or wherever and I'm sure the Dark Lord will pay you. Myra can take my half of the reward and I'll go home. Easy?" Darius' put on his serious face now. He had to show he was one hundred percent on this plan. Skar gruffed.

"Easy. We head north to Orc Landing. Before we go, you need armor and weapon. Peacemaker has them for human. None for demon." Skar gave a cold look to Myra before smirking. "Demon doesn't need it. Demon isn't soft like Darius."

"Wow, you said my name! But still…. Fuck you, Skar!"Darius barked before he chuckled. He grabbed a fresh "pink" from the grass and held his free hand out for Myra to hold. "Ready to go to Orc Landing… Sounds pretty badass, huh?."

The Millinas were gone. Leandron stood within the ransacked house. It was big, which told him they had money. Those who had money often had more than home. Such was the disgusting opulence these fairies lived in. “Some food is gone as well.” One of the soldiers reported. The others were searching around but they probably wouldn’t find anything. Leandron marched through the house. All around him cabinets were thrown to the ground to crack them open. From the kitchen, all ceramics were thrown onto the ground. Searching for something. Anything. Jewels were greedily taken by those who found it. This was their first looting and the shine of gold promised at least a full stomach for a few more weeks. In the living room, he found a myriad of paintings. One of those who assumingly lived there. When he compared them with the drawing, he could see it was Risa and probably her parents and her brother. Now that was interesting. What was more interesting were the elder figures in another painting. Unlike the sweet couple with their children, these two were dressed as royals. “Well what do you know. She’s from the old king's blood.” He said as he pulled down the painting to observe it closer. “What a time it must’ve been, to take away their power.” Then, with pure disgust, he threw the frame into the ground. It shattered, the broken wood tore the painting open. He then took the painting of the family and broke the frame open as well, though this time a little more careful so he could take it with him. Knowing how your enemy looks was half the battle. More Dark Elves rummaged through the bedroom, retrieving expensive dresses and coats. When the whole place was pillaged of any and all valuables, Leandron put a torch to it. No-one would live there anymore.

The smoke plume could be still be seen from atop the hilltop on which Leandron stood. Looking down towards the small but vibrant community down in a glade below. It disgusted the dark elf how content they were all were. Probably had enough to eat and drink. He grasped the wet earth below him. So fertile. So full of life. If the forest would be burned down it could feed all of Dakka and more. His people would never suffer hunger on that barren, cold island again. If only Aklenroth would allow it. One thing was a fact though, the fairies didn’t deserve such bounty. They hadn’t bled for it. They hadn’t killed for it. “Prepare for runners. Break bones if you have to.” He commanded as he mounted up again. Two dark elves nodded.

Moments later thunderous hooves came barging down the cobblestone path towards the little tree-named village. People that weren’t outside yet to watch the blackened smoke rise in the sky now came to see what all the noise brought. When the Dark Elven steeds were in view, Leandron could suddenly feel the tension. They were upon the little place within seconds. They dismounted. This was probably the most exciting time for the village in years.

Leandron knocked on the door and Lotus opened up. The Dark Elf asked: “Sycamore?”

“Yes, may I help you sir?” The polite fairy asked.

Leandron didn’t answer. Instead he gave a quick nod towards a bunch of Dark Elves behind him. Who all began to walk passed Lotus and barge in.

Lotus, confused, didn’t move until the fourth Dark Elf tried to pass him. He laid a hand on the man’s arm. “I’m sorry sirs but what are you exactly-“

He couldn’t finish the sentence. Leandron had knocked the air out of his lungs. Seconds later he could feel the cold grasp of iron. Someone inside screamed. Leandron shouted: “Silence!” People were huddling up. Lotus began to feel weak. As if he was being drained. “In name of the king of you are all under arrest for high treason.” Leandron said and with those words, all hell broke loose.

Women began to scream and try to get out. Outside Dark Elves were waiting at the windows to take them down. Many kicked and screamed as their skin touched the cold iron. Some of the men drew whatever weapons they could.

Leandron could feel control slipping a she counted the people inside. So many. Three of the men were occupying another three Dark Elves. He could see his own kin straining against their orders. “Kill if you must!” He shouted out and his men took instant heed. No longer constraint by their opponents need for survival, they went for the killing blow. A greatsword ripped open the abdomens of one fairy. Inside the house the screaming changed. From frantic defiance to utter horror. Blood splattered on some of the fairies. One of Dionaea’s brothers fell dead on the floor. Another was pushed up against the wall and another Dark Elf pushed his spear through the man. It kept him standing up against the wall as blood flowed from the wound.

Outside several other Dark Elves were going door to door. Those foolish enough to answer as Sycamore were taken where they stood. Others suspiciously denied the name and tried to force the door closed. An axe was the answer. Doors were reduced to splinters. Women and men were dragged through the streets by their hair, clasped into chains and thrown amongst the others. Some fairies managed to get outside, ran and then tried to fly away. When suddenly rope came from below them, tangled their legs yanked them down. Many fell down into the dirt, some into the hard cobblestone below. Once down Dark Elves jumped them. One, to make sure his victim wouldn't fly away again, cut a wing in half. The once calm village descended into pandemonium as children, mothers, and men ran around. Trying to protect each other or themselves. Some died bravely. When all was said and done, Leandron had elven people in chains.

“Some got away.” One soldier said behind him. His rope had torn down a fairy particularly hard. She clutched her shoulder in pain. Leandron just nodded. With so many prisoners to take, some were bound to get away. Besides, they had enough. Then another soldier approached him, clutching his ribs. “Sorry sir. Bastard got me. Killed him though.” Leandron could see the blood wetting the tunic. “You’ll bleed to death.” He noted coldly. Death was a part of reality. Inevitable, really, if you lived in Dakka. The soldier smiled weakly. But then Leandron had an idea. He looked over at the sobbing group of chained fairies. All broken and weakened by the iron. He found the youngest and pulled her away from the group. Much to the protest of her mother and father. They were quickly kicked aside. He dragged her up to his wounded soldier and pushed her against him. Blood smudged her face. “Heal him now.” He ordered.

Instead, she raised her chained wrists. “Please. I don’t feel so good. Please, the iron.” She pleaded with him, weakly.

Leandron slapped her. She felt to the ground. The Dark Elf pulled her back up with her hair. “Heal. Him.” He repeated. “Or I will cut out those pretty eyes of yours."

She swallowed meekly and put her hands on the wound. Pale golden light fell upon the wound and the Dark Elf could suddenly feel his own body mending itself. It was a strange feeling. To know yourself to be dead to suddenly being alive for sure.

“Make sure she finishes the job.” Leandron said to the wounded soldier, as he passed them to go towards the Sycamore’s house. The place was not as rich as the Millinas their home. Still, there was wealthy to be found and the Dark Elves most certainly found it. Like the previous mansion it the place was ransacked. None cared much about the corpses or the blood. When anything of value was taken the house in ruins. Leandron, hoping to find some more clues about those they were searching found nothing. Annoyed that he couldn't return with more, he mounted up again. The Dark Elves headed back. Behind their steeds, they dragged the chained prisoners.

Far away from the Chaos flew Camellia. Trying to find her youngest daughter.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Dawn
Location: Heart of the forest

The golden eyed fairy turned his gaze over to Elsea, his face not displaying worry nor stress. For a few moments he thought of the reasons for his family's exile and all that involved, yet that story would not be fitting for a time such as this. Thus the fairy decided to cut it as short as possible. He calmly answered the question to which Elsea had asked him.

"I exist. Whereof the full story is for another point in time." He said in a dramatic tone of voice, his arms spreading and his wings stretching out, before his face changed into him smirking. "We are alike you and I. People fear that which they cannot understand and those who are different from the rest. Not all dance after the faun and his tones, some refuse to allow such melodies to lead them astray." Elthrael said in a tone of voice which would imply that he considered Elsea to be an exception, as he went up and placed his left hand under her chin.

"Like the brands of sweet poison served in many inns, music and stories can also inflict harm to the mind. Especially during a time of grief and hopelessness, where people would rather hear a lie and believe in it. Why change the real world, when you can drown your worries and fears in an illusion?" The fairy began to softly laugh and allowed his hand to withdraw, as he looked up to the sky.

"Though I do think there will be an awakening. Question is how many are going to snap out of their dreams and do what is needed... well you won't settle for scraps when you can have so much more, isn't that right, Elsea?" The fairy offered a more friendly smile, holding out his hand towards her, indicating that he was about to lift off and fly. Hoping that she would indeed join him.

"On swift wings, to the kingdom of the rivers we've ought to go..." He said softly, waiting for Elsea.

There were safety in numbers, the exiled fairy was not arguing against it, despite his own way of living in seclusion. Especially if you were a human chased by the lich king and his minions, there were ofcourse always those around who would oppose his rule, albeit finding them was usually the trickiest part. For those whom openly opposed him were sought out and executed or put away, or fates worse than both of those. Elthrael had felt not as much of the lich king's rule as he was in an area where his servants seldom paid visit.

And ofcourse there was also the thrill in fighting the creature which was threatening the balance of the world and nature itself with his dark magic and tainted soul, he was an abomination meant to be destroyed. While Elthrael was not fond of dark elves, demons and orcs, he saw no reason for killing them all off. For they were equally to blame for what happened with his family and himself, as much as the fairies which saw them exiled. The other races were guilty of inaction, a crime on equal grounds as the former.

What Avalia needed was a change in power, Elthrael had long considered an attempt to seize the throne himself. But it requires more than raw skill and power to rule, it requires followers and means to support them. Much like how nature support all beings with food and water. Regardless if they were good or evil. Elthrael had spent a long time pondering on the concepts of good and evil. He came to the conclusion that each being may deem the other as evil from it's point of view. But ultimately those who'd thrive and enjoy causing others overly much suffering, were indeed doing evil acts.

Such as killing without a purpose other than a lust for wanting to do it. To torture beings to satisfy ones own wickedness. Now this were evils meant to be exterminated when met. On the other hand Elthrael did approve of slavery, it was how nature itself were. That some would rule over the other, that is was in fact a way to keep order. But Aklenroth's order was just an illusion, it was a farce. For chaos were all around.

Some beings would find comfort in being domineered over, as long as it did not cause them unnecessary suffering, other than the suffering they would go through whilst serving their master. In that sense he did not oppose everything about the dark elven way of living, or that of the orcs. It was the fact they had more or less caused a big inbalance in the world, and plunge it into chaos by supporting the tyrant king. Now that was the issue. An issue which would have to be straightened out. Immediately.

The canary quickly flew off Risa's shoulder as the illusion overtook the sky. Risa's breath caught mid-song and she stared up at the translucent, hooded skeleton figure. The rumors were true. Aklenroth really did not have skin. She shuddered, unable to imagine how he lost it or retained life. She listened to his words, the color draining from her face. It had been probable that he would catch on to all this quite quickly but his reaction was worse than they could have imagined. They had to act fast and disguise the human best they could.

"What are we going to do, Risa?" The worried voice made Risa glance to her side. He had sat beside her and put his arm around her. She hugged him comfortingly. She was not sure what the best course of action was but her grandfather had taught her to always step up and lead if no one else was going to. He would say that it was in her blood to be a good leader. Because she trusted his guidance, she always trusted herself and her intuition the best she could.

"We shouldn't stay here long. With the human, we are in constant danger."Kyran had continued.

Risa smiled at him to ease his worry, ignoring her own. "We will be okay here for a short time. No one knows of this area. Our names are known so we can't go home. People will look for us. " She stood up as she spoke, "We need to bathe and then disguise the human. He needs new clothes as well. Then maybe even ourselves. If we can do that, then we can cover some ground and find some others to group up with." Risa reached down to touch his cheek as she finished her instructions, "It'll be okay, sweetie. Have faith in us. "

Risa was terrified. Her hand was trembling. She thought she might cry but she held it in. If people knew of their involvement, their families could be in danger. She had been willing to give up things for herself but not her family and friends. Risa knew she had been impulsive in her actions and her youth truly showed through them. She had been warned the price of freedom was larger than most could imagine.

Before Kyran could reply to Risa, Jean-Luc burst through the door. Aklenroth had been still speaking as the man moved to the trees to relieve himself. Risa bit her lip as he yelled out in surprise at the illusion. She was sure that was uncommon on Earth.

"Why in god's name did you save me? You wanted that reward didn't you?" Risa stared at him with a bit of heartbreak. The poor creature thought they were using him and distrusted them. Though the distrust made her sad, she felt worse knowing he probably felt all alone.

"Oh honey, I'm sorry. This is probably so overwhelming for you." She moved a bit closer to speak to him but didn't get too close to frighten him. "I don't want any reward. His words are probably trickery anyway. Right now, I want to protect you." Risa sighed. She was going to have to explain some of this.

"You were summoned by others because you have the capability to stop that monster you saw. They perished and we are continuing their cause. He is an evil being named Aklenroth that controls our land. He hoards much of the country's money and kills anyone who defies him. He has murdered many and we have no freedom with him as our leader. "Risa explained slowly, pausing for a moment to let him take that information in. "So, these creatures who summoned you are called Elves who brought you here in hopes of you helping them. Aklenroth killed two people who were very special to me and I want to stop him. The other girl and I are creatures called fairies. You may have heard of us in stories, perhaps. We are like you humans except we have wings and abilities to tend to nature. Our job here is to take care of the forest. That is why I could heal you since I aid in the plants and flowers in their growth. "

Risa exhaled. This was all very difficult to sum up but she did her best. "I am sorry you were dragged from your land and into this. It's a lot to take in. I prepared you some breakfast inside and I can show you where you can bathe. I can tell you more after you take some care of yourself."
