Personal Style: Roman dresses simply, as he doesn’t particularly see the need to put too much effort into his outfit unless it is specifically mandated. Occasionally Roman will find an excuse to pull out a full suit, but that is not a very often occurrence. The man much prefers dressing functionally to looking particularly attractive. Of course, Roman also has his shield uniform that he will wear while on duty, and is currently working on building an exoskelton to help in combat operations (Provide armor and enhance strength).

Personality: Roman is at the surface a pretty generic graduate of the Sci-Tech academy. Incredibly smart, yet a bit awkward when it comes to dealing with other people. He seems to understand machines and computers much better than people, something that has been pointed out multiple times by his current team. Especially when his inhuman abilities are factored into the equation, many can understand how Roman finds machines to be easier to deal with than people. Still, he is typically very kind and friendly towards others. Although he can be quite a bit blunt in certain situations as he doesn’t really see a point in sugar coating things. Roman does get frustrated when it comes to technology that he cannot understand, and will anger easily during such times.

In the field, Roman is typically pretty detached from his emotions in order to ensure he can complete the mission to the best of his ability. That being said, Roman is unwilling to let his teammates sacrifice themselves if he thinks it at all avoidable. Having seen plenty of officers and civilians killed trying to protect others during the invasion of New York, the man believes quite firmly that it is his job to keep the innocent and good from being hurt. Roman can be seen as a bit of hypocrite on this front, because he will not bat an eye at the concept of having to sacrifice himself in order to protect others. In essence, he wants to create or be a shield between the forces that would threaten the lives of the innocent.

Why did you want to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?: Roman is one of the survivors of the Chitauri invasion of New York, having been there on that terrible day with his parents on vacation. During the events that followed that portal opening over the city, he watched as many brave police officers and citizens died protecting others from the Alien Onslaught. The fallen include the man’s parents, who died trying to distract the Chitauri so people could escape the bank in which they were cornered. Shortly after, Captain America himself appeared to stop the Chitauri from using a grenade to kill everybody in the bank. In the years following this event, Roman spent his time trying to better himself and find a way to help protect the innocent just as the heroes of that day had done. In turn, this led him to S.H.I.E.L.D.

General History: Roman was born to a loving family, it was just the boy and his two parents living just outside of London itself. Things seemed fairly normal for quite a few years, until Roman started showing signs of an uncanny intelligence that was quickly noticed by his school teachers and his parents. Of course, given that his mother was (unknown to anybody except his father) was an inhuman herself, the woman started to wonder if perhaps he was like her. While he was kept in his school, but elevated to upper level classes his mother began working on her husband to let her find out if her son was like her. Eventually, she did manage to convince the man that Roman was likely an Inhuman like her and would be safe during the terrigenesis. As such, the boy was exposed to terrigen at the age of 10. When he emerged from that cocoon, Roman suddenly found that he could “feel” the technology and the internet around them. His little robot toy turned on by itself and seemingly walked towards Roman on its own volition.

Over the years, Roman started learning how to control his abilities, as well as excelling in his schooling. He soon got into STEM fields, and was interesting in technology. Roman started taking apart technology to see how it worked, then moved on to trying to build some of his own pieces of tech from these pieces. Of course, at this point it was really just crude little robot toys that he could control with his mind. Overtime, these would become more and more complicated and advanced. At about the age of 15, Roman graduated high school at the top of his class. At his graduation ceremony, Roman had little drones he had built fly overhead and drop confetti down upon the audience.

Two years later, Roman was on summer vacation from his college in the United States and his parents had come over to visit. They all decided to visit New York City to see the city, but their plans were soon turned to absolute chaos. On the same day the family had decided to visit, a portal opened up over the city and aliens flooded into the city. Roman and his family simply tried to survive all the chaos while the Avengers fought off this invasion. At some point, they were cornered in a bank by the invading aliens. His mother tried to use her abilities and his father tried to provide a distraction to provide an escape route for those within the bank. However, the aliens were quick to gun down the two with almost no hesitation. Before Roman even had a chance to process this sudden event, the aliens had a grenade and Captain America himself was there to stop what surely would’ve been a deadly attack. In the wake of this attack on New York, Roman decided that neither of his parents would want him sitting around grieving their loss while the world passed him by. Instead, the man decided that he needed to further improve his ability and knowledge so that he could save others like the Avengers had. If there had only been more like them on that day, then Roman was certain all those poor people who died would’ve had the chance to live.

From there, Roman attended college and was soon picked up by the S.H.I.E.L.D. Sci-Tech academy. Among peers who rivaled and were even smarter than he, Roman felt at home. He wound up graduating near the top of his class, and shortly after was assigned to a small team of only four members including himself. Two agents from Operations and himself, led by an agent from Communications. The team quickly become close knit, working to prevent at least one 0-8-4 from falling into the wrong hands. The team even ran cleanup after an Avengers operation at one point. During this time, Roman grew rather close with one of the agents from operations. A woman by the name of Sarah Hayes, the two starting as close friends but eventually growing to be something much more.

Then Hydra reared its ugly heads, and the team was plunged into sudden chaos. Unsure of who they could trust, and on the run as suspected terrorists. Of course, the team stayed close to each other as the few who they knew for a fact could be trusted. However, Hydra’s talons seemed to sink deeper than the team had ever expected. After one particular night together, Sarah had thought Roman to be asleep after she slipped some stuff into his drink the night before. However, the man had thought the drink tasted funny and wound up dumping it out whenever she wasn’t paying attention. That morning, Roman woke to hear the woman reporting in to her superiors at Hydra. Something he didn’t want to believe, and lied to himself that she must have been undercover. Unfortunately, things did not seem to be this way whenever the woman went to capture her former teammates. This led to Roman being forced to put a bullet into Sarah himself, and then freeing his teammates before Hydra could come to the pickup. The young man has lived with the guilt of killing his lover every day since he had to act to save his own team.

Only mutant characters can catch M-Pox. Symptoms of M-Pox are chills, fever, difficulty breathing, loss of coordination, memory loss, vomiting blood, and breaking out into pus filled hives. There is currently no known cure for M-Pox and it has proved to be fatal in some cases.

A lot has happened to our agents. It's going to be difficult to remember. Please add to their history sections just a few sentences on Vol. 1 & 2 events that were relevant for them. This doesn't need to be a lot, just enough so people have it written down and don't need to go hunting for information.

As always, gotta do the relations sheet. Since this is the relations sheet for Vol. 3, you don't need to include shelved characters, but new members of the team (Matt & Roman technically) should be included.

You are more than welcome to do them, but please wait until I give the okay to post them in the IC!

In Vol. 3, you can assume that your characters remember the events of House of M IF and only IF they were active in that RP. Otherwise, they won't remember it and would need someone else to tell them about it.

Appearance isn't something he cares a lot about, but growing up going to a private school, he very much works better when he's dressed nicely for work. His choice in clothing is focused around making sure he can stay in a head space in which he can be most productive.

Personality: Oli is the type of person that can find a problem one day, and spend the next 48 hours working on it without taking a moment to even sleep. He loves having new things to think about and work on, and looks out for them constantly. This is the sort of behavior that makes him so good at his job, he will work until he can't anymore. This behavior can also make it hard for him to keep and maintain personal relationships; it's hard to have a friendship with somebody who can't take an hour away from their work to grab lunch. He most easily forms relationships with people that he has to collaborate on projects with, as spending time with them draws less from his work.

Inwardly, Oliver is self confident, almost to a fault. It can be hard, or even impossible, for him to admit that something is beyond him. He carries a large amount of respect for himself in this way, and this feeds into why he's working for SHIELD in the first place. He fundamentally believes he possesses the capability to do things things that other people can't, and he thinks putting his talents into SHIELD is the best way for him to help the word. While this can make him seem arrogant at times, he's at least earned it, and his heart is in the right place.

Why did you want to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?: It would not be inaccurate to say that the market for Oliver's total skill set is not the largest. Given that, SHIELD seemed to be an organization that largely was trying to do good in the world, and that was something Oliver truly cared about. To him, it's easy to make a living doing a bad thing, but it's a lot harder to survive while doing good. Being somebody who thrives in difficult situations, the latter was his natural environment. SHIELD was a chance for him to work with the best people of his generation, doing things to help the world, how could he say no?

General History: Growing up, Oliver was not only precocious, but also had the advantage of having supportive parents, who provided him opportunities to grow and do the things he wanted to do. Being lucky enough to afford a private education, he made quick strides in his development. Ravenously, he chewed through textbooks, learning more and more, never slowing down because to him, school was fun. Due to this passion for learning, he was able to graduate high school at just fourteen years old, much to his parents pride.

His college days were similar, but also different. His passion continued, but for the first time in his life, he was slowed down. Skipping college courses wasn't a thing that could be done, so he was forced to progress at the same rate as the rest of his students. This is where Oliver began largely self educating, finding new things to teach himself, and where he first gained his deep passion for mathematics. He began as a major in mathematics, but that just because he was good at it more than anything else. As he delved into it on his own, he was thrilled with how it built on itself in so many interesting ways. The fact that everything was learnable, given enough time, was special to him, and meant that, while he couldn't graduate any faster, he could learn enough of his course material ahead of time that his classes would be significantly easier.

This development is what ultimately lead to him also pursuing a degree in physics, his eased course load meaning that he could add more without overburdening himself. The puzzles that physics and mathematics gave him held his interest throughout his academic career, piquing his interests and keeping him well occupied. He didn't make too many friends in college, but he was at least well liked by his professors and peers, on an intellectual level. He made a good partner on group projects, and took active interest in his classes, which was to him meant he was succeeding. He felt lonely on occasion, but that was to be expected; it's not easy for 20 somethings to be friends with a teenager after all.

Eventually, he came to graduate, and continue his education through graduate school. Finding a passion in cryptography, he focused on that. It was literally everything he loved, practically being the science of puzzle solving, and something he could get paid to do. This was something that he truly enjoyed, so he was happy to have it as he finished his education. Once he had gotten his degrees, he had a few offers to entertain, one of which, was from SHIELD. Needless to say, he ended up going with them.
