Umber casually floated into the Love Lounge behind his apprentice and partner, Azriel who led the pack of villainous misfits to a suitable spot within the recreational establishment. Being inside and getting away from the scourge that was the sun was always refreshing to the demon. Umber had initially been unsure about going to the brothel, not knowing what he was truly in for. Things seemed to start off nicely as the previous occupants of the table the group took gave Umber a nice appetizer of fear to start off the festivities, courtesy of Azriel and her blade of course. The large demon landed and took a seat cross-legged beside Azriel and proceeded to take in every spiking emotion of pleasure, excitement, pain, dissatisfaction, nervousness, fear, anger, regret, and even a bit of hatred. His four eyes widened at the intensity of the emotions pulsating within the brothel. The establishment was a literal all he could eat emotional buffet. Exquisite… Absolutely delicious!

“This was a fine idea… There is so much potent emotion to feed on…” Umber voiced as his body slumped forward due to how relaxed he was feeling. “Don’t mind me… Indulge in these beautifully miserable creatures! Do not allow shame to hold you back from your pleasures!” Umber urged, in an almost uncharacteristic way.

O'Ner Faister

The undead could not believe he was dragged along to some brothel, filled with degenerates that he would rather ignore then then interact with them. His eye's staring at the one of the woman that was dancing, the dancing woman reminded him of his wife especially her face, and body shape. Her provocative dancing reminded him of the nights he would make love to his wife, cuddling with her in the afterglow of their intimacy. Perhaps he should not have been staring since he still had the memory of his wife burnt in his mind, It felt like he was cheating by staring but he could not help himself.

Perhaps it was the emotions inside of him still present, A present that he would have to rid of quickly. He was ignoring the madam speaking to the group. He wished he was someplace else working on the mission Aklenroth had assigned to him. The added bonus of going was to collect rare flora for his garden.

O'Ner kept staring at the dancing woman, His tall frame towering over the rest of the group and the others in the building. He did not like the smell, sight and sounds of this place, he could hear Azriel speaking with some men drunk and acting foolish. He said nothing of what he wanted, what he wanted was to leave this foul place. He knew he was being stared at not that he minded of course, When he was out most people would run away which he would expect being a undead general to the most hated being in the world. Part of him was yearning for attention and love from another being, not someone from Aklenroth's army but yearning for another's touch and to be alive again. To once again feel the warmth of another living being.

Time: Late morning
Location: Edena.
Interactions: Darius @FunnyGuy, Aklenroth @Alivefalling

Thankfully for Myra, it appeared that Kol, the dark skinned forest person, wasn't hostile to them. Judging by his tone of voice and how he acted near Aklenroth it was safe to assume he was under his command and would be the one responsible for guiding both Myra and Darius to the place they would stay. She still didn't completely trust Aklenroth, but she knew that he wouldn't hurt Darius or her, judging by the way he was treating them and Darius seemed to be happy that she was still by his side, so she wasn't as wary and alert as before.

Myra continued following Kol together with Darius as they parted ways from Aklenroth (which made Myra feel a bit better, to be honest), going through a long hallway. Before Myra knew, they were already out of the creepy, huge place they were before and instead were in a completely different place. With the sun shining above them, Myra could feel a much different scent coming from the way they were going. A scent that was much closer to the scent she was able to feel in forests and nearby the places where the forest people lived than the undead castle she was a bit ago. After a moment, Myra saw the origin of the scent she was feeling. As Kol stopped in front of a building, she and Darius stopped as well. The place was not only bathed by sunlight, but was surrounded by an incredibly beautiful garden, with flowers of all colors, even some that Myra had never seen or smelled before. According to Kol, that place was called Edena.

Despite her curiosity about the garden being clear and obvious, Myra looked at Darius and Kol first, waiting to see their reactions and what they would do next.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Morning
Place: Baelde's

Elthrael had taken much pleasure from seeing Dionaea reaction to his comments about her, he had nodded in assurance when she had asked him if that was what he indeed thought. But now as they all found themselves by the diner, the dark winged fairy found himself inspected by Risa. It would seem she held at least some interest in his exile, the willingness to listen was a trait he valued highly, thus he decided to tell her some of it.

"Yes, exile. The fate of those whom are misunderstood or feared by others, and those whose crimes have been vile. My crime? Being born into this world looking like this. My parents refused to toss me away, so they too were banished." The darkwinged fairy allowed a smile to decorate his face, as if it both annoyed him but also amused him.

"To a deer, a hunter is evil. To a mouse, a snake. Beings do what is in their nature to do. Are we any different? Demons are created or born, I know not which. Most if not all of them are what the majority of being in this world would deem to be evil. The dark elves, driven to destruction by the lust for power at all costs have gotten corrupted by it. Causing themselves and those around them suffering. The orcs enjoy violence, it's as if fighting is them simply living, as if it would be when they feel most alive. You kill someones father, his family will hunt and hate you. Kill someone's son, and his parents will despise you. An endless circle of revenge and destruction of no end. Unless you find yourself being the one cutting the chain short." He blew some air through his mouth, and smirked for a moment before continuing.

"Let me tell you a story, an old story. A story which none of the fairy elders would have told you, for it is one which they would never wish to remember or hear of. A long time ago, far before the lich king seized the throne. There existed a race of fairies, their beauty, art and mastery of natures magic was the grandest of them all. Their appearance unlike the fairies we know of today. They ruled over the other fairies, under a single kingdom, keeping them safe from the orcish warlords and the armies of an old demon lord which sought to conquer all. The ancient fairies were well versed and able, and together with their brothers and sisters they managed to win that war. But the other fairies grew fearful, jealous and filled with malice. They allied themselves with the elves, who also had grown envious. Together they plotted and hunted every last one of the ancient fairies down, as their numbers were low in comparison. They could not fight back, they tried to flee, but were chased down to extinction. It was said that the last of the ancient fairies were hunted down into an underground haven underneath Roshmi. But who would believe that fairytale? Hahah..." Elthrael chuckled and then took a moment to pause, caressing his cheek with a finger for a moment before proceeding.

"After that the elves took all the riches of the ancient fairies to empower themselves, the other fairies began to bicker and fight amongst oneanother until they split up and thus set off in different directions to start a new life. Leaving the old ruined kingdom behind in that deep forest of mystery, allowing nature to envelop it once more. It is said it still exists out there somewhere, and within the place. The proof of fairykind's greatest sin. The murder of their own kind." Elthrael's hair hung over his eyes slightly as he hunched forwards, before looking up at those around the table.

"There's an old legend however, of an elf who came upon a survivor of the extinction. Who happened to be carrying something with him, which he passed unto the elf for sparing his life. Before vanishing forever..." The dark winged fairy, placed one of his hands on the table, tapping it abit with his fingers.

"The tales said that elf was Aklenroth, or a god. But what is more curious is the question, whose the evil ones? I suppose you could ponder on that for quite some time, I would rather spend my time to ponder on what happened with the last of the ancient fairies. Where did he go? What did he do? When you are truly alone, what is it you desire the most of all things?" He posed the question in a very mysterious manner, with a slight upturn at the corner of his mouth. His golden eyes setting on Risa, his facial expression calm and collected.

"I wonder, would they had been able to forgive those which did the inexcusable? Were they still around that is." Elthrael gave a soft, yet smooth chuckle as he began to lowly mumble.

"A war requires soldiers, supplies and a will to fight. There are only a few ways to amass such a force, one of the ways lie with Risa here. A royal request could do." He suggested, tapping his chin as he did, before he went on to speak in a more riddle-like manner. Saying it in a very mysterious manner, if not a tad dramatic.

"There's however another path, a path long forsakened and hard to find. A place of old, with stories untold. A door of sin, with evil deed within. Into the forest of the elven moons, to the tree of all trees. In the keep of the old ones, the scroll of binding lies, amidst the terrible truth. A royal hand may open the path inside." He finally finished, blowing some air through his mouth and looking between those by the table.

After Kol had given his welcoming introduction to Edena, the contrasting part of Morteum located on the other side of the mountain, He walked forth towards the beautiful garden.

“What do they call you on your world human, and what is the name of your demon bride? I will address you accordingly.” Kol spoke sternly. Darius followed the dark elf as his eyes took in the beautiful site. He turned around to his left to see the white and blue section of the castle that was positioned along the other end of the mountain. It actually looked nice, which perplexed the hell out of him. How is THIS on the other side of where we just were? I guess Aklenroth wasn’t just lying his ass off, this place is nice… Wait, did he just say BRIDE???

“It’s Darius and this is Myra, my friend.” Darius was already irritated with the elf. He looked to Myra and smiled. “Maybe future wife if she keeps being such a sweetheart.” Darius joked. Kol scoffed but refused to add any comment to Darius’ apparent joke.

“The garden before you is owned and tended to by General Faister… He treasures it like it is his child, so refrain from ruining even a single petal if you want to avoid death. You will be permitted to venture out in due time, but it is wise to remain on the grounds.” Kol took a moment to take in the sight. It was a view not seen in Azmor Galus. Meanwhile, Darius just seemed glad that Myra was in a better mood. He was sure the two would spend a lot of time out here. He’d also make sure to be mindful of the flowers. Kol then abruptly turned to face the castle and nodded to it before stepping forward. “And over here we have Edena’s living quarters, it’s still connected to the Morteum. It is… brighter than the rest of Morteum and houses several of Aklenroth’s most esteemed servants. This will be your domain for food, shelter, and rest. It is here where I will also educate and train you to be worthy of fulfilling your goal. My king believes you want to rid Avalia of the humans brought here by the Dimensional Rift Opening Machines, DROMs for short.” The dark elf spoke with his head forward and back to the two as they were expected to follow him towards Edena. He stopped and turned to them for a moment. “You cannot hope to reach such a goal without power and might. The rebellion will not simply give up their human weapons. And not many of the remaining humans will trust Aklenroth’s offer in leaving this world peacefully. Most if not all will have their heads filled with lies of his inability to do so. They will flee, fight, and even attempt to kill you. But power and might do not come easily in this world! It isn’t as simple as wanting it, you must train your body, challenge your mind, and break your limits! I can show you the way, but Darius, you must be the one to take the path! Understood?” The dark elf spoke with a fierce passion, filling Darius with determination and confidence.

“I understand clearly.” Darius appeared to be taking this more seriously than previously. What he was shown when he had smashed the mysterious red crystal in his palms was still bothering him. As much as he wanted to bounce back into his joking mood, Darius found it impossible to keep it up. He almost wondered why he felt so responsible for the lives left in this world. He could have made a quick exit and left these strangers behind, never having to worry about Avalia again. Sure, he’d have to purchase a new bed, but… No, his conscience would eat at him. Those people he witnessed die wouldn’t just escape his mind, and the thoughts on those he could have saved from a similar fate would haunt him as well. He’d feel like he had felt a few years back on the day of his older brother’s wedding. Cowardly selfish…

Kol nodded at Darius’ answer, accepting it. Not disciplined, but that fire in his eyes is something I can work with. Kol led the two inside castle, through a different entrance from where they had come from. The area the two entered appeared to be some sort of dining room adorned with royal blue banners with several wooden tables and benches within. Darius stopped in his tracks as the aroma of spices and home cooking filled his nostrils.

“The dining room. Scheduled and requested meals are served here as one might expect." Kol walked past the tables and towards an open entryway into a staircase to the second floor. The dark elf had been prepared to make his way upstairs but was stopped by Darius’ distant voice.

“You think we could make one of those requests before we go up? We haven’t eaten since…” Darius tried to think. It hadn’t been since dawn, right before they went marching up to Morteum. Fuck, it’s been a long time... He put on an uneasy smile. It’s been a while.” Darius’ uneasy expression faced Kol’s cold one. The dark elf took a moment to speak before clearing his throat.

“Zorrah!” Kol called out as he walked towards the dining room tables. He looked around a bit for the one he had called, but nothing. An irritable sigh escaped him. ”Ves-”

“Whoa! Stop!” A blue-skinned woman with bright yellow eyes suddenly appeared several feet away from the three with a quick flash of purple light. She appeared flustered, not wanting Kol to continue calling out to whomever he had started calling for. “I am here. I have been SUMMONED.” The blue-skinned woman addressed Kol with a tired and bothered tone. Her gaze went to Darius and then stopped on Myra. Her brows rose slightly, showing minor intrigue. “Another human and a demon.” The woman scanned her surroundings for a second. “Food it is. Any specific requests?”

Darius looked upon the woman, not knowing what to say. He didn’t really know what he wanted to eat. In fact, he had questions of his own. Like where did this woman come from… and did she just TELEPORT into the room?! And what was she? Her ears weren’t pointed, but her skin was blue. Then there were the yellow eyes. What is she?

“Uhh, how about steaks for both of us! I’ll have mine medium rare and Myra here will have hers rare.” Darius looked down at Myra with a questioning look. “Bloody, right?” He asked his friend in order to be sure. Darius was always warry that he’d speak out of turn in Myra’s stead. His eyes met the blue woman’s yellow ones. “My name’s Darius by the way.” He smiled, but the pleasantry wasn’t returned by the woman.

“I’m Zorrah…” She looked Darius over a bit before a smirk formed on her face. “I think like you better than the other one. That Jack guy is just... odd. Anyway, I can get those steaks ready in a bit. Might throw in some carrots or something too.” Zorrah stared at Myra now to observe her demon kin's reaction.

Xenelith

O’Ner was dreadfully unprepared for a brothel. Xenelith noticed it in an instance. The undead general was staring quite intensely at a girl dancing on stage in enticing moves. The madam was surely a skilled one. It could not be easy to find women of such universal beauty and looks. Especially when she could dance like this courtesan could. Xenelith took O’Ner by the shoulder and said: “You’re doing it wrong. There are only two sins you can commit in this place. The first one is murder, which I would consider a personal insult. The second is guilt and you, my undead friend, are feeling guilty. If you like what you're seeing, just give a little gfit and ask for some of her time.”

He turned to the madam and said: “A shared hookah with….” He looked around. Azriel seemed to know her way around a brothel, surprisingly. But Umber looked as excited and delighted as a demon could be and O’Ner was acting like he was seeing ghosts. “…just normal tobacco for now.” He didn’t want to know what a demon or an undead would do under the influence of whatever substance the madam certainly didn’t hold right behind her counter in a little red locked box. “And a bottle of house beverage if you would.”

“Don’t mind me… Indulge in these beautifully miserable creatures! Do not allow shame to hold you back from your pleasures!”

“You’ve got a fine scent for emotion, Umber. But please, let’s uphold the illusion of the place. It is, after all, what’s giving it its allure.” He said to the demon after which he turned to Azriel. “What’s the occasion of the ball?” He asked. “Concreos has passed and I did not know our lord favored any other holiday.” The idea of the ball vexed him. It would be too crowded and chaotic. With everyone wearing masks the rebels could blend in perfectly. Perhaps that was Lord Aklenroth’s goal all along. To somehow lure the rebels out. Still, there had to be better ways to smoke the filth out? Perhaps if he was allowed to burn a few buildings the rats would come out scurrying. Or maybe the withering of the trees would be signal enough. Did Risa have an honorable side? Did this Kyran have it? Would he answer a challenge? Even in a brothel his mind wandered to his tasks. But not entirely.

There was still the issue of his obligatory presence at the ball. Xenelith had lived nearly two centuries but never visited such a formal event. To him, it was a place for either delusions or sycophants. They ate their cake and gossiped amongst each other while the dance floor was filled with the hopeful and the desperate alike. He hadn’t danced in decades.

Elsea sat silent as the topic took quite a serious turn, listening closely as Elthrael told his story, then of Risa discussing what their goal should be, and finally Kyran’s disagreement with Risa. It was his words that ignited a small fire within her as he spoke of her people. Anger bubbled up within her, but before she could speak the young bear featured girl appeared to take their order. Elsea had also noticed the strange thing that happened with Kyran’s eye, but she was too distracted by other things to question him on it. She focused on a spot on the table as she tried to calm herself when it came her turn to order. ”Go ahead and skip me. I’ve just realized I’m not all that hungry.” She told the girl and then patiently waited for the others to finish ordering.

Once she was gone she finally spoke up, looking at Kyran now with irritation plain on her features. ”Humans NEED to learn how to fight? Nay, they NEED not to learn how to do anything. We did not ask to be here, we did not ask to fight YOUR war. If you force them into anything than you are no better than Aklenroth. I will not stand for anyone forcing anyone into something and if you try I promise you I will fight you until my dying breath.” Her hands were clenched tightly in her lap as she glared at Kyran. She then turned her attention to Elthrael.

”This goes for you as well. You speak of Risa and you try to sway her to use her alleged royal power, but have you stopped to ask her if that’s something she wishes for? How much power will she really hold if she does decide to try? From what I understand there are two fairy kingdoms, aye? Will she hold sway in both kingdoms or will it just he hers? Even then, that is only ONE race she holds sway over and I’m willing to bet that is not enough.” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment as she tried to regain her composure.

”Kyran does make a valid point on something, though, and that is that if it is to be war we need to mentally prepare for it. Who here knows what a war entails? Who here has truly fought in a war? Have any of you stood on a battlefield? Have you been engaged in a battle where emotions are running high, you’re exhausted and so frightened to the point you can no longer tell friend from foe? Have any of you watched as your friends fight and die around you?” She looked between all of them now, watching for reactions to her words. She thought back to her grandfather when he’d come home from a battle with the English. He was haunted by so many things and often madly spoke of the horrors he’d witnessed. It chilled her to this day seeing him in that state. ”These are the things every one of us needs to prepare for if it is to be war. It will change all of us and I promise you it will not be for the better. There will be things that will haunt you until you die.” She finished and finally fell silent as she let the gravity of everything she just said sink in.

Kuroi raised his eyebrow in curiosity (although due to the mask that covered his face, this could not be seen). The vulpine understood that times were dire and this human was at risk of being captured and killed, if not worse if discovered. From what he interpreted, it seemed that the young woman seemed most eager to interact with him for the sake of his skills. Understandable, but all too convenient for a sudden show of friendliness. He let out a sigh as he slowly responded, "Seeing as you're not from this world, and of course, Roshmi City, I am the son of a once-famous duelist who's wife was in charge of training the city's special forces in hand-to-hand and weapon combat. I'm able to use mostly any weapon given to me and adapt to whatever is in my surroundings. Knifework, grappling, swordsmanship, takedowns, and striking, I'm pretty well versed in them all." He shrugged. "Additionally, I can be quite stealthy if need-be and have had a little bit of experience when it comes to reconnaissance a couple of times."

Once he finished, the vulpine drew his fan, opening it with a flick of his wrist before covering the lower half of the mask with it. "I'm quite fond of the bladed fan over knives. Although a bit awkward at first, they can actually be used to block against smaller weapons and have the same utility as any combat-oriented knife."

Almost as quickly as he drew his weapon, he closed it and hung it at his waist again, "Does that answer your question, Miss Belle? Or is there anything else you wish to know?" He asked, tilting his head at her as his ears twitched.

Jack was displeased as he walked into the place, his hatred of prostitute urged his hand to grip his scythe without thought. 'How easy would it be to slay this whole place of whores?' He questioned himself in his head. Jack let his hand release the grip on his scythe and lowered it to his side. He continued to walk with the group over to a place they all began to take a seat beside Umber. "What is the reason we are here in this establishment? You guys know I am known for killing prostitutes on earth?" he asked his group in a hushed tone.

"I would prefer to not stay around here too long and explore the city before I cannot hold back and decide to claim another victim. In my opinion, these whores do not deserve this life and should be set free by my blade." He laughed cracking his fingers.

Jack went silent when Madame Uma approached the group. "Welcome to the Love Lounge, the finest establishment of it’s kind here in Roshmi. If you don’t believe me just look around. Our employees sell themselves." She greeted them in a sultry voice, a smirk gracing her lips. "So what can I do for you?" She asked, ready to provide them with whatever they needed.

"I will pass, ask the others." Jack said as turned his head to remove the eyesore from his view.

Cade scoffed at the demon as she praised spells over steel. “Spells, hexes, magic; these are the tools of manipulation and deception for those who lack the strength and honor to face an opponent in fair combat. I will admit your magic has its uses; with creatures like the dracolich and in disguise, but in the hunt and in combat there is nothing better than a victory won through skill with nothing other than one’s trusted weapon at their side.” Cade replied with confidence, although he could now see a useful place for magic he could not see it as a replacement for a good weapon in the hand of a well trained warrior. It was more important to him to fight with honor than it was to simply win, and there was no pride to be had in a victory accomplished through tricks. ”It is a truly beautiful thing when one can accomplish something great from their own prowess alone, when years of practice and training finally amount to success.” His eyes shone with pride and his tail flicked happily about as he recalled his first defeat of a cave troll as younger cat.

He found Ayita’s take on things curios as well, what could one possibly learn from prey? While those designed to be hunted had speed and grace it was of course unequal to that of cat, after all that was why eventually every good cat caught a meal. Rather than inquire on this further though, Cade took a second to scan the surroundings and try and recall the places in Roshmi he had been before. Ayita was in need of weapons and no good warrior should be separated from their tools for too long, especially not while under the threat of constant danger. He choices his direction and lead the way through the streets of the city with ease. ”Your guide I shall be, lucky for you a cat never gets lost, though we do on occasion chose to take the scenic route.” Cade found their way to Roshmi’s finest blacksmith a cheerful and boisterous demi-fox named Ezra Vulpis, and his shop held many finely crafted weapons.

Bowyn had seen the flyer’s for Roshmi’s latest ball postered about the city, how could he not they seemed to be just about everywhere. He had ignored them, mostly, doubting that anything useful could come from prancing about with the city’s elite. However, the thought of pickpocketing the drunken elite while they were surrounded by their own obscene extravagance, was more than enough to make Bowyn grin. All those drunken and distracted nobles with their shiny trinkets and full coin purses would certainly cover meals and board for their time in the city. The only issue was should they be caught there it would bring them far too much trouble, he’d likely lose a hand at least and he doubted Torvi’s disguise would hold up to the scrutiny of authorities. ”While I applaud you for thinking like a thief, I’m not sure the nobles would be our best bet in finding allies. Seems to me they are benefiting the most from the king’s rule and wouldn’t risk their status to aid you. I doubt any humans here would have the means to provide both the high entry fee and have suitable attire for such a thing. They certainly wouldn’t let us in dressed as commoners, we’d have to acquire formal wear to even get in the door.” Bowyn didn’t even try to hide his disgust when mentioning dress clothes.

Truthfully it seemed an almost impossible task to find anyone willing to help in such a large city with it being so difficult to even find someone you could trust to ask. Bowyn doubted that rich noble would be willing to do anything that didn’t sever their own greed but searching for help among people who struggled to survive would be a challenge as well. Although he’d personally feel more comfortable in the city’s slums, they too were just as likely to turn them in for the reward; starvation could easily strip a person of their decency. ”But, no matter where we seek help it will be dangerous, so if we find nothing better before this ball then I guess it’s a risk we may have to take.” Bowyn gazed at the dwindling contents of his glass, feeling again the impending sense of dread at the danger to come. His own survival had dropped on his list of priorities and ensuring Aeryn no longer suffered as one of the undead now took precedent. Although death seemed a likely outcome of his new and foolish endeavors, he had to stay cautious to ensure he at least survived long enough to accomplish this goal. ”We can’t afford any mistakes.” He added solemnly.

As the talks about exile were exchanged at the table Dionaea couldn't help but shift in her chair. Her own parents had spoke to her about all of these things, but it had seemed like tall tales until she was faced with it herself. She questioned a lot of what her parents had told her all these years and kicked herself for all the times she rebelled against the things they tried to teach her. Some things were worth it, while others lingered in her head. Risa and Kyran's words resonated as she let out a heavy sigh, it was true that some people were so developed in darkness that nothing from this reign could pluck them from it, it was also true that a war was on the horizon- but what for? Leaning in to Risa's whisper she could hear only but her hushed words and the breathing of her party.

Elthrael told his own stories, while Dionaea listened carefully- enticed by words she had never heard of, the images of these tales dancing in her head like a dream, or perhaps more like a nightmare. "There's however another path, a path long forsakened and hard to find. A place of old, with stories untold. A door of sin, with evil deed within. Into the forest of the elven moons, to the tree of all trees. In the keep of the old ones, the scroll of binding lies, amidst the terrible truth. A royal hand may open the path inside." Those words stuck with her. Why did it seem that Elthrael always seem to speak in riddles? She never met such a fairy who let so much up to the imagination. Flustered, her eyebrows furrowed a bit before the tone changed.

Risa then pulled out a poster from her possessions and flattened it out on the table, Dia's eyes scanned the poster. She had been to many grand events in her life, even as a young child she had been always in attendance to these affairs that sometimes went by in a blur. Risa was correct that this type of event would attract many people from all over Avalia even humans who seeked help or perhaps were just curious cats.

The sudden unfamiliar voice caused Dionaea to squeak, she hurried and grabbed the poster off the table as if it were contraband, a gut reaction from being raised by strict parents. Even if you were not causing any trouble, you were always on your guard for what COULD get you into trouble. She held the poster in her lap as she looked up to the young waitress and gave a small smile as her shoulders relaxed. It was only the waitress, nothing to be threatened or harmed by. "The egg and tajokel dish for me, and if you have any- an alaberry wine. Thank you so much!" she wanted something to take the edge off. Living in fear was not something she wanted to do for the rest of her life, let alone the rest of the day. She unfolded the poster in her lap and looked down admiring the calligraphy and craft. She wished this was a different time in her life where she could enjoy this ball with her family and friends even a love interest. She thumbed over the raised ink before placing the posted back onto the top of the table.

Elsea chose not to eat, but Dionaea knew in the back of her mind the woman should to keep up her strength for whatever the rest of the day held. She thought to change her order to what Elsea had mentioned earlier but decided that she would just share parts of hers if Elsea so desired. The spicy human proceeded then to tell her own side of things, all fair in it's own rights. She spoke harshly but true, this was so much bigger than them, bigger than the fairies, bigger than what seemed to be all of the lands combined.

When silence fell upon the table Dionaea felt it was the right time to let her own words flow. "I-" she started, her eyes looking down to the floor for a moment, she closed them for seconds catching herself in the act of holding back tears. She pushed through as her chin raised, "I am sick of how all of this has been handled." her tone was distressed, fluttering as she tried to calm herself before trying again. "Ever since I was a little girl I knew what was going on around us. These secrets were not hidden though they were coated in something a bit more sweet. Many people feel the way we do, we aren't special in that way, though a target has been set upon on because of who we ran into, rather than what we think. My brother's are dead now because of this. My entire family may be dead because of this, I only hope-" she swallowed hard, "I only hope that none of this was in vain. I want to see a world where people are not living in fear, if you can even call this living!" she exclaimed. "We need everyone to stand strongly together, we may look different, live different, speak different, even bleed differently but we all our connected and only together can we truly win." she nodded, using her fingertips to wipe away the tears that had formed along her cheekbones.

"I am willing to do whatever it takes to get my family back, and to end this. Once and for all!" the young fairy finished, in a bit of huff. She spent a moment adjusting her fake ears on her head nonchalantly. Allie returned with their drinks and food. Before the young waitress could leave, Dionaea spoke out "We also need an order of the potato cakes!" she instructed, looking towards with Elsea with a sense of demand- which quickly faded to a soft,

"Only if she wants them, please and thank you very much Alie."

“Oh how terrible to treat you and your family so lowly. The dark elves treated you no differently than the light elves have treated them. A horrendous cycle…”Risa lamented in reaction to Elthrael’s words with genuine sadness. “You have a very lovely appearance, Elthrael. Just because you appear different from Dionaea and I does not mean you are no less a fairy.” She listened to him as he spoke. Elthrael was unfortunately right; some beings such as orcs were just violent in nature and there was nothing to be done. Though she had never met an orc, so she decided she wouldn’t write them off yet. He continued on with a story of a different race of fairies who were hunted to extinction. Risa had not quite heard that fairytale before but it was intriguing.

Finally, Elthrael suggested she do a royal request to which she wasn’t so sure would work well at this point. She was a respected girl amongst the River Fairy Kingdom but they’d need more than that. Perhaps her position could make people want to listen to her words though, and she could be a potential speaker. The risk that came with that was great. She decided to ponder on the best strategy before replying to that. He also brought up something about a scroll within the forest of elven moons that only a royal hand could open. She’d be willing to do so but if he meant the Moon Elf Village, it was a long ways away.

Kyran also put his two cents in. He had a less peaceful outlook, suggesting that all humans had to fight Aklenroth if they were to win and that they needed to learn how to fight. “Kyran, we can’t force them all into war. It would not work even if we wanted it to. Search your heart, my darling. Maybe it’d be wise to teach them how to protect themselves but they need not fight any wars they do not wish to.” Thankfully, Kyran agreed on the priority of finding humans and Dionaea’s family. It would be great if everyone was on board with that priority at the least.

That was when something peculiar happened. Kyran’s left eye started to glow red, causing growing concern. She watched him put his hand over his eye and she worriedly touched his shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly as she concentrated healing towards his eye. Risa could not understand what was happening but she knew how to spot pain faster than anyone. “Kyran?” He answered with a low growl but seemed to appear to normal upon Alie joining them. She tilted her head in confusion but decided to let it go until later.

Elsea then told Alie she wasn’t hungry and Risa gasped. “Oh no, my sweet girl you have to fuel yourself!“ She didn’t get to protest too much about it as Elsea went on a tirade against Kyran soon after her statement, echoing the opinion she stated in a more aggressive manner. Risa wondered if all humans were so passionate. When Elsea started to talk about the gravity of war, Risa couldn’t help but tear up. The idea of seeing her friends die was something she could not stomach.

“Even if it changes me, I will fight to make sure none of you die! I will heal you all until my last breath! I understand war is something I have not experienced and I am young, but we should have hope.” There was a pause after her words in which Dionaea took up the chance to respond. She tried to speak and Risa noticed she was holding back tears so she squeezed her hand under the table.

Dionaea finally pushed through with her chin raised and Risa was so proud. She wanted to point at her and tell everyone, ‘That’s my best friend!’ The girl really was so tough and admirable with all that happened. Her words were uniting words to fight for a better world, which Risa loved. They had to truly believe in their cause and that they’d win.

She also very considerately added on a dish for Elsea, which Risa was very happy she did as well.

“We must believe in this with all our heart.”Risa said finally

Azriel had been looking between all of the men with her, giggling internally as she realized how interesting it must look as she was the only woman in this group. Not only that, but she had taken the lead in walking into this place and finding a spot to relax. Azriel and her men, she liked the sound of that. Her eyes then fell on O’Ner and she followed his gaze as she listened to Xenelith speak. She gazed at the woman dancing and smirked to herself. Was it possible for an undead to become intimate with someone? Well he did have the ability to shapeshift, that could work, couldn't it? ”Here O’Ner, let me help you.” She began as she turned her gaze back to the Madam.

”I think we’d like to enjoy the company of that pretty little thing there.” She told her as she pointed to the woman O’Ner had been watching. She really was quite a beauty and while Azriel would find enjoyment in making O’Ner squirm, perhaps she could also find additional enjoyment. They’d just have to see what the visit brought.

Xenelith also ordered some tobacco and a bottle of the house beverage, which Azriel was pleased with. Just tobacco though? Go big or go home was how Azriel looked at things. ”While tobacco is great and all, I would also like some skaula and perhaps even some ubara.” She told the woman while watching the others out of the corner of her eye, wondering how they’d react with such a request. She had a feeling Xenelith would be on board, but was unsure of the others. Madam Uma nodded and left to go gather their things along with tell the one prostitute to go to them once she’d finished her dance and freshened up.

She looked to Jack, who was visibly upset with being their and it caused her to grin. ”I do apologize Jack, I was not aware you were famous for that in particular. Perhaps some of the things I’ve ordered will help you to relax a bit.” She suggested, quite obviously not really sorry for anything. If he wished to leave and explore the city she wouldn’t stop him, though it may be bad if he went on a killing spree. Right now, however, she really didn’t care too much. He was a big boy, he could do as he pleased. She was going to enjoy herself.

”As for the ball,” she began as she turned back to Xenelith, ”I am not sure what he has planned entirely. Perhaps he wishes to try and draw out some of the rebels? Such a big even full of wealthy people is sure to draw out those looking for supporters, yes? Or perhaps our lord has something else in mind entirely. I am not one to question him too deeply into those matters.” She explained, keeping her eyes open for anyone who might be trying to listen in on the conversation.

Zelginn

Place: Biralei residence
Time: Morning

"Oh mother always tells us children to go out and explore things for ourselves! She says it helps build character and make us strong!" Zelginn said with a wide smile as the food came within his eyesight again, taking both it and the coin pouch he had earlier liberated from a gambling dark elf. It contained a few amas, not enough to get a trip with however. His ears perked up when Kenia had explained to him that the two odd smelling individuals he had seen moments ago were family of hers. There was something about it which didn't sit well with Zelginn, perhaps it was just his stomach growling for food.

The blonde elf woman had left momentarily, leaving Zelginn to take a bite out of the first sausage in that neat chain of sausages. While at the same time throwing a mischevious glance to Malachi. "For a moment I thought it was humans. But that would be silly wouldn't it?" He said in a low tone of voice, tapping his lips with a clawed finger before his lips formed into a smile as he observed the male elf.

"Betcha wouldn't try hide those here would you?" He said soon after, inbetween chewing, half of the sausage in his right hand. He seemed to be about to say something else, when the female elf returned, causing him to assume a saluting pose.

"Welcome back, nice lady!" He said, stuffing the half-eaten sausage into one of his many pouches on his attire.

"Oh.. oh.. I cannot go to mother, she is imprisoned by the king since quite a long time! Far, very far to the north! Brrr! Really cold place too, It's alot warmer here. If you want to go all the way up there you need thick fur!" He said in a matter of fact voice, his arms crossing and his head nodding in self-agreement.

"Lord Norkas? Oh I don't know who that is. Whose lady Tsarra Urmicca? That's not your name! But can't I help you instead? I am very capable! I can sneak into places! I can pry open locks! I can even leave some of the food for you guys! Maybe you need a way into the ball that is coming soon? I can be of great help for sure! I also have the bestest of noses on this side of Avalia! No lie! I swear on my fur it's so!" Zelginn gave a soldierlike clap together with his clawed sot ridden feet and looked like he was ready for orders.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Place: Baelde's diner
Time: Morning

He had taken his time looking over the tavern wench, which Risa and Kyran appearantly knew, much like the loud big one. 'To think they wouldn't think before acting. Now they've involved these two into this. When the guards come trying to question them about our presence here. With so many eyes all around, how could they possibly slither out of that?' He thought momentarily, before the other thought took place over it.

'What's with foxboy's little eye? How curious, it does indeed seem like he cannot control his own power fully. A power you cannot control is not a power at all. Hmph.' He smirked as the voice of Elsea caught his attention and she did seem quite upset. How he disliked upset women. Unlike the men which were amusing, the women being upset was an issue.

"Indeed, you need not to learn anything because you cannot learn anything. You lack the will to contain yourself, and thus I will not train you. It would be a waste of time. Like preaching religion to the deaf, or try put out fire with oil." He said in a scoffing manner, before proceeding in regards to Elsea's words about Risa.

"So many in this world would have done anything to be just like her, to have that ability, that chance to do something of a grander scale. To not use that gift, would be very unfortunate. You also need to do something, otherwise nothing is ever going to happen. Someone must always take the first hard step, no matter how hard it may be." Elthrael chuckled softly as he leaned back abit, resting his back briefly.

"Life is a battlefield, what other battlefield do you need? Emotions can aid you, but also tear you down. In your case I suspect to see the latter. I disagree with you that war would change all for the worse. It is during such trying times that the grandest of acts are taken. Oh I'm certain even your world have these... heroes which inspired others in wars for their achievements. Which mostly consisted of killing other creatures mind you." His eyes kept watch of both Kyran and Elsea, knowing fully well they were likely the most volatile in the gathering and could potentially explode at any given moment, given enough fuel.

His attention snapped to Dionaea. "Like she says, we should make certain the losses are not in vain. I very much find your mindset most admirable. Let us dethrone this fool once and for all shall we?" He said the last part very quietly, his lips forming a smirk.

'Such promise... how refreshing.' He thought to himself as he watched over Dionaea, before turning to Risa.

"Such kind words, but so very suitable for such sweet lips as yours~" He winked towards Risa, then throwing a glance to Kyran. His mouth showing a few teeth as he held back a grin.

"Ahh yes, hope... I certainly hope you will also take into consideration of your own life, and how it is the key to saving a kingdom from complete... ruin." Elthrael finally added, one of his hands resting on the hard wooden pommel of his sword.

Baraian Paladice

Place: Marketplace (Roshmi)
Time: Morning

"Act natural and you will be fine. The dark elves only grow interested if you start sprouting things in public or get into a direct confrontation with them. But your insight is good Ilan, I will search through the crowd for any signs." The dark elf solemnly nodded, leaving some space from his faun companion, to meld in with the crowd as good as he could. He began to wander slowly around the crowd of people starting to form up, entertainment was always drawing attention. Even from the dark elves who needed some time off from oppressing the populace. Baraian looked through the gathering of people slowly as he walked, there were demi-humans of all sorts and sizes amidst the crowd and every here and there an elf or two. That's when someone bumped into him.

"Watch yourself, you ill suited vagrant. Out of my way." A pious sounding voice was heard from his right, passing right by him, the long white garments were as white as those worn by himself. It was a tall elf with silvery hair, his armoring polished and behind him was a group of armored elves. Baraian stepped aside instinctively, looking from under his hood. He swallowed, and then breathed out through his mouth.

'What is he doing here?' The dark elf's eyes narrowed, forgetting for a moment his task of searching the crowd for human presence. Once the group of elves had passed him by fully, he turned to look at Ilan and then to the crowd. His eyes searched through each and everyone of them. None wore odd garments from what he could tell, or gave the impression that they were something other than demi-human or elven. His eyes turned up to Ilan and shook his head softly, to indicate that it had not bore any fruit so far.

Terneus Andros

Place: Marketplace (Roshmi) -> Elsewhere
Time: Morning

To think that dark elf commander Dreadclaw had the nerve to challenge him, it irked him to no end. The dark elves as a race was an abomination, a freak mutation... no... a parasite. If he could only order their destruction, but such a beautiful dream could never come true with Aklenroth being in power. The light elf knew that against Aklenroth whose magic was clearly superior, not because of his race but because of his age. Yes, it irked him that if he had lived as long as that undead lord he would have beaten him. There was no doubt in Terneus head of that. He began to wander the streets, past a house of ill respute.

"Filthy peasants spreading diseases and sicknesses like no tomorrow, no wonder this place is a cesspool." He felt the urge to spit, but reconsidered as he wouldn't even want his spit to be contaminated by the area. A lightly clad demi-human woman was smiling towards him as he began to pass by, dragging in her shirt abit as if it was overly warm. Terneus brows furrowed, his teeth clenched together and he began to angrily march away from it. His group of knights shortly after, once they snapped out of the nice view provided.

'Lice ridden, dirty, filthy, mongel infested...' He began to think of a name suitable to describe the scenery which was sickening him, he swiftly made his way towards the market district where he began to wander amidst the common folk. Although with some distance, giving some of them coughs along the way and the evil eye. Indicating for them to move away. Then some white clad court jester had the nerve to bump into his regal attire. He had the sudden urge to slap the pitiful fool, had not he previously lost his glove from filthiness. He angrily marched past the white hooded person, and threw an angry glare to the noise of someone playing on a lyre. The elf stopped in his tracks, it was a pleasant tune which snapped him out of his thoughts. 'What is that?' He looked up to where a faun had neatly placed himself and the crowd, which he had barged into were appearantly listening to.

'A street performer? How- dare it sully this melody with it's beastly grip and draw me out of my mindful sanctum of thoughts. Is this even legal? Could it be this is some distraction for pesky thieves? A parasite on the society, no this city is too much.' The elf thought to himself as he gradually stepped closer, throwing a thin looking man out of the way before realizing the man was probably dirty. It made him grit his teeth for his lack of foresight, but it was surely the fault of this meddling musician.

"Hey! Stop that at once! Go back to work peasants you are blocking important matters and trade! Shoo! And give me that you misleading cretin! You lack the proper permits!" He barked out and stepped up to try grab the lyre from the faun, his knights blinking in surprise but soon stepping up closer to their lord which was full of action this day. Terneus then tried to take hold of the faun's lyre in order to throw it at the cobblestone ridden street.

O'Ner Faister

O'Ner wanted to kick Azriel in the butt for calling over the dancing woman was staring at, He looked else where as he felt he was being rude by staring at her the moment he had arrived in the brothel. He did not want to be here, But could not think of an excuse to leave that could cause him ridicule from his comrades. "If you need me i will be seated over there" He pointed to a empty booth across from where they were.

Walking over which looked like he was gliding towards the empty booth, Sitting down in the booth placing his hands on his lap and keeping to himself. He didn't care of the woman was going to approach him he was going to ignore her never the less. Because he was undead, He did not smoke or drink so he would not partake in his comrade's vices. Not like he cared of course he had not interest in these kind of vices.

O'Ner kept staring at the wall across form him, He seemed to be ignoring the woman he was previously staring at and his comrades.

Xenelith’s words had helped Umber snap out of the stupor caused by the overwhelming emotions he was feeding on. Not just that, but Jack and O’Ner’s inability to enjoy themselves.

“What a sad sight? The undead and the human are both troubled by their pasts...” Umber said softly before turning to Xenelith and Azriel who seemed to be on the path of enjoying every vice this environment had to offer. The demon was a stranger to this establishment, but he found it to be the perfect place for someone like him. The mixture of pain and pleasure was simply incredible. In the midst of all these feelings, he managed to listen in on the conversation between Xenelith and Azriel concerning a flyer for a ball coming up. He pondered silently. Aklenroth… What is your play? A ball to gather all of your enemies and a… Oh? Would he actually do something like that? Umber leaned towards the two.

“You two may be onto something. If he is not behind this, then he will surely take advantage of this event… If not, we will. No matter how things play out, we’ll need to prepare to attend this ball. It may not be as enjoyable as this… Actually, I’ll hold off on what this ball may have in store for us. However, today will be difficult to top with an order of skaula and ubara on the way. I cannot partake directly, but I can receive some of the... secondhand effects.” Umber shared a low snicker. “Madam, that sad creature across from us needs a bit of company. Eight demihumans similar to this one, my treat.” Umber requested noting the female that Azriel had requested just a moment ago. Nothing personal… Torture is just something I do.”

Myra silently watched as Darius introduced both of them to Kol before they started talking. She did notice the surprised reaction Darius had upon hearing the word 'bride'. It was the first time she had heard that word, as well as 'wife'. As Darius turned to her, Myra looked at him with a confused expression, trying to understand what those words meant. She knew very well what 'friend' was. Apparently, those two words had a different meaning from 'friend'.

The moment Kol started explaining about the garden though, Myra completely forgot about the two unknown words after being remembered of the wonderful garden in front of them. She really wanted to go explore it and see the strange flowers with colors she had never seen, but she decided to hear Kol's explanation first and try to understand what he was saying. Unfortunately for Myra, the very first words he said almost immediately destroyed her plans of 'exploring' the garden. Not only because they wouldn't be able to see it right now, but running in it was definitely a no-go, according to what she understood from Kol's explanation.

The next stop on their 'tour' was a castle. Even though Myra didn't understand some parts of Kol's speech, such as what Aklenroth wanted Darius to do regarding others like him, she did understand the words 'food' and 'rest' very, very well. Apparently, they would eat and rest inside that big castle. That moment, she remembered Skar's cooked meat and how tasty it was, but together with that pleasant memory, came a bit of sadness, since she knew Skar was gone and they probably wouldn't see her anymore. Even though she was one of those mean green things, she was... different from the rest. She was... most of the times... much kinder than them and did care about Darius and Myra herself, even though she had her own way of showing it. Myra would make sure to eat Skar's portion of cooked meat in the castle as well to remember her.

As Kol continued explaining though, he mentioned two words which immediately caught Myra's attention and made her clearly worried. When talking to Darius, he did mention 'fight' and 'kill', together with 'human' which she knew was what Darius' race was called.
Looking to Kol with a distrustful expression, she looked at Darius, confused. What were they talking about? What did Aklenroth wanted Darius to do? The fact that Darius seemed to agree with Kol only made her even more worried.

Before she could demonstrate her dissatisfaction further though, Kol said something, as if calling someone and in the following second, a strange blue skinned woman appeared in a flash of purple light. As he stranger's eyes stopped on Myra, it appeared to be intrigued by her presence. In return, Myra studied the woman with the same curiosity as she did. Before Myra could wonder the reason for her presence though, a single word the woman said immediately made it clear why she was there. The second the woman said the word 'food', Myra began looking at the woman, clearly expecting something for her to eat. The second she asked if they had any requests, Myra slightly opened her mouth, sticking her tongue outwards to see if she could discover where the food would come from.

When Darius mentioned meat for both of them, Myra nodded just after him, with a clearly happy expression. It was a good while since she had eaten something and she was starting to get very hungry. Looking to Darius and then to the woman, who introduced herself as Zorrah, Myra pointed towards her mouth and made a gesture with her hands, indicating she wanted a lot of meat.

Ayita couldn't help but to smile as she watched how Cade reacted to Sakura teasing him. His point of view regarding magic was indeed interesting. The 'magic' Cade was referring to indeed did sound quite... well... not exactly bad, but far from what a warrior would normally do. Still, even though she came from a world where 'magic' wasn't a thing, the way Ayita's people used to honor the spirits of their ancestors, asking for protection and commute with the spirits of nature wasn't really that much different from Magic, at least in her limited understanding of what magic in Avalia was. For her, when she used her wind magic for the first time, running away from the undead dragon, it felt something almost... normal to her. It was completely different from the 'magic' Cade mentioned. It wasn't a conscious effort, instead it felt almost as if she simply stopped thinking to hard about things and started to just feel the wind on her skin and started running together with it.

"As a warrior, I do understand your words, Cade." Ayita replied with a smile.

"I still remember how happy I was when I went hunting by myself and for the first time, caught something with my own hands instead of having help from others." she said, smiling.

"We had quite a feast using what I had caught and the vegetables from the tribe's crops. We even received some of the alcoholic beverages that were made by a few of the elders in our tribe using wild berries and fruits." Ayita said, with a chuckle as she remembered that night in question.

"Oh, please do so. Taking a scenic route sounds like a wonderful idea. Surprise me!" Ayita said, laughing as she jokingly challenged Cade's skills as a guide.

Belladonna

Time: Morning
Location: Roshimi City
Interaction: @hide on mana@Dezuel@dreamingflowers

Belladonna smiled at Kuroi as he spoke. She remained silent until he had finished and nodded politely. "Thank you, Kuroi. I appreciate your honesty and answers. I understand this is an awkward situation, seeing as I avoided you during the last week. I would like to be straight-forward." Belle took a deep breath and looked at the others, then at Kuroi. She would water her reply down as she didn't want anyone knowing about her past. They would throw her in the streets like the gang had and kill her, or worse. She looked him in the eye with a calm yet shaky tone of voice. Lying to someone's face had been one of her specialties.

"There was a lot of violence on Earth that I witnessed. The man being stabbed and then the metal fan put me on edge. It reminded me of some violence I witnessed, but was not a part of, and I'm sorry. Belle took a deep breath as she paused, then looked at him. The images of the stabbing came back to her mind but she took slow deep breaths. Her hands were clutching her bow so hard that her knuckles were white. The others listened, but didn't say a word. Visibly however she seemed fine, but shaken. "I was hoping you and I could become friends, along with the others. Besides," Belle chortled as she let loose a half-smile and her eyes twinkled. "With all due respect, I must say, I love foxes." She paused and glanced over at Regulus, "And don't you worry, I love horses too, Regulus."

Regulus let out another booming laugh. "I have no qualms if you did or did not, Ma'am." He laughed and patted her on the back. "You're all-right. Us Centaurs know we're awesome." Elleta let out a rare smile similar to Belle who managed to giggle and address everyone.

"Okay, awesome. Thanks everyone. Let's start pairing up and training together..." The group began to train, much to Belle's satisfaction. She practiced with Kuroi who helped her expand her knife fighting and unarmed combat. She was being open with learning new things and found the knife fighting more difficult. She didn’t mind using knives, though she was shaking on the inside. It reminded her of "The Stabbing", as she had dubbed it. Her desire not to be violent was holding her back. She didn't want to think how she used to or become that person again. She gritted her teeth and pushed it to the back of her mind throughout the training.

Afterwards, Belle trained with Elleta and Rosemary on using her magic. Belle hid her disgust of her power but used her anger and morphed it into focus and concentration. She managed to create a drizzle of rain around them which pleased her, then moved onto forming balls of water. She managed to move it a few inches from her palm until it would explode and splash her in the face. She found it difficult to continuously create them and focus long enough to produce more. After trying for a half hour to replicate and or use more water, Belle decided to throw the towel in. Afterwards, she trained with archery and started with fencing with Regulus when a commotion filled the air. The group paused and looked over towards the city. Music was being played distantly, and then loud, raised voices interrupted the beautiful music being played.

Morgayne looked over at a bird that had landed on a branch nearby the fairy. She began speaking to it, which Belle found entertaining to watch. Finally, the fairy listened to the bird, and then turned to everyone. "It's Terneus," She addressed the others who groaned out loud in dismay.Bell looked at them in confusion and then raised her eyebrows. 'What kind of asshole are we dealing with now? Morgayne looked at her and took a deep breath, noting her confusion. "The Sun Elf Governor. He's a real jerk, to put it mildly. He's harassing a faun with a lyre, my bird-friend said. He just flew from the scene." Belle found her blood boiling; it was Ilan. Morgayne pet the birds' head and watched it land on her shoulder. Belle was astounded and slightly jealous; she loved birds. She tore her gaze away and looked at Elves. Her mind was racing. What would she do? Her fists were clenched. What kind of asshole would mess with Ilan?

"We cannot be seen by him; nor you, Ms. Belle. What do you have in mind?" Belladonna bit her lip and looked at the group, then to Kuroi. She knew she had to come up with an intelligent plan; after all she was the rebel leader now. These creatures would look to her to come up with ideas. Stress filled her mind and head as it began to ache. What the fuck would she do? She knew almost nothing about this world. She gritted her teeth then let out a sigh. She gestured the others to follow her towards the noise, but remained at the edge of the woods when they came up to it. Belladonna found a tall Light Elf holding Ilan's lyre; she noticed he was surrounded by soldiers. Then, she noticed Baraian in the crowd and sighed again. There was only so much the Elves could do right now if this indeed was their governor. She looked around quickly and noticed a building not too far away from the scene and overlooked it. It was far enough that they could create some chaos without being seen. She looked at the group and sorted it into her mind. Ilan and Baraian needed to escape this asshole and save his lyre.

"Elleta and Rosemary, you're with me on the roof. I'll need the bow, Elle, if you could please hand me it. We'll need Rose's and your magic. Morgayne, please gather some of the birds and other creatures to help distract the soldiers. Reg, you're in charge of blocking Ilan from harm's way and creating chaos which I'm sure you'll enjoy. Kuroi, if you could be so kind as to help Ilan and Baraian out I would appreciate it – your stealth will be handy here. As for us, we will catch up." Belle nodded to the others and split up. Elleta, Rosemary and Belladonna all started towards the building and used a nearby ladder to climb onto the roof. Elleta handed her the bow and watched her string the arrow. She threw up her hands and created a light shield around them and blocked them form view. If anyone looked over, they would have trouble deciphering what was exactly on the roof. She bent the light enough around Belle to make her invisible as well and to protect her. She could only imagine how much Rosemary was concentrating. She had light magic shielding Ilan from harm as well.

"I'm going to distract some of the soldiers so the birds and insects can attack; I'm sure Governor Asshole won't appreciate an arrow near his pretty little head." Belladonna began to aim it passed Terneus' head and smiled. The savage glee she was feeling she felt and was using it for the sake of good was a newer feeling to her. She hadn't hesitated at all to help Ilan. She wasn't sure what she was doing or why. She wanted to shoot Terneus, but knew it would be too dangerous and dismal. She was trying to control her anger and bitterness inside. She gritted her teeth as images filled her mind's eye.

She took several deep breaths. How she wished this arrow would transverse dimensions and murder Embry as well. She watched as Morgayne who stood by the edge of the woods with a flock of birds around her. She noticed a blue jay and looked away quickly. 'Little Blue, Little Blue, what am I going to do with you...' She could hear Embry's voice again and her temper was now close to popping a lid. She pulled the arrow back and fought to stay in the present. Ilan, the innocent fawn, needed help; he was too pure for this situation. How she hated the innocent being tormented.

"Ready, aim...." Belle began to release the arrow, "And fire!" The arrow sailed from the bow just as quickly as Belladonna jolted up from her position. She watched the arrow sail over the citizen's heads and passed Terneus' into the wall above him. The soldiers began to glance around with confusion, though Belladonna and her Elf duo were already escaping the roof. They quickly climbed and jumped down and onto the ground. Bella looked at Elleta who gestured for them to follow and moved quickly down the road inconspicuously.

She heard Regulus yelling and they veered around to watch from inside a nearby shop. Belle didn't pay attention to the name of the shop while they moved inside quickly to escape the madness, whilst pulling her hood up. Rosemary still had light magic formed around her to protect her from view. The two Elves sat down calmly and flipped open menus to watch. Rosemary and Elleta were sitting side-by-side it appeared but Belle was in the middle, invisible. Rosemary took Elletas’ hand and the two began to focus together on shielding Morgayne, Regulus, and Kurois' appearances as well to make it more difficult to decipher who was actually involved.

"HEY! You big 'ole Elf! That ain't very nice now is it? This dear little faun is blessing us with some of his music! I know I loved it!" Regulus had entered the scene, seconds after her arrow had landed in the wall. She watched as the birds and insects began to attack the Governor's soldiers. He moved in front of Ilan to allow Morgayne, while concentrating hard, to grab the lyre. She gestured for Baraian to follow as she quickly flew away with her hood up. Belle found it chilling to watch. The hairs on the back of her neck had raised and her grip on the bow kept slipping. She was trembling as well and bit her lip. Regulus glanced over at a vendor who had gestured silently to the cake stand. He grinned wildly and looked at Terneus. "I hope it's your birthday Governor! Cause sure it sure is mine!" He grabbed a honey cake and aimed it at his face, but he wasn't sure if he struck him or not. He was too busy running away to check. He had also gently grabbed Ilan's arm to lead him away and to also allow Kuroi to intervene and help as well.

Belladonna watched the group tear away while the wolves, birds, and insects blocked anyone from following. She shuddered at the thought of being in the midst of the chaos; however, she bit down on her lip to stop herself from smiling faintly. As the group faded from view, Belladonna sighed in relief quietly and leaned back against the booth. The trio then ducked out of the shop. They began to ascend into the city to catch up to the others.

Time: Late Morning
Location: Edena, Daka Island
Interaction with: Myra @13org

Zorrah studied Myra and her inability to speak observantly at first. She found it to be both peculiar but also… a bit adorable. Very few things came through Edena in the couple hundred years she had spent there, but Zorrah knew warriors when she saw them. The two in front of her made her internally question what kind of fighting force Aklenroth was building up. They’d make better performers. Demon Tamer Darius? Or maybe they can have people try to guess what Myra is trying to say before a timer runs out. A chuckle initially escaped her until she noticing Myra asking for food… A lot of food. Her eyebrows perked up and Zorrah’s grin grew a bit wider than it already was. “More meat huh? So you’re one of those demons, huh? I’ll give you thrice more than your friend Darius. And no veggies either.” Her eyes then met Darius’ who gave her a questioning look. He had been enjoying how Zorrah nearly won Myra’s heart with her promise of food. This woman was possibly the most down to earth person he’d met in Avalia so far. Well, that’s what he thought until… “You got lucky with this one. She’s not only cute, but she didn’t eat you.” Zorrah laughed as she turned from the group. “Welcome to Edena, Darius. Myra. I'll have your food down here in a bit, just make sure not to get eaten Darius.” The demon vanished in the same purple flash that appeared upon her entry. Too good to be true… Is Myra the ONLY nice person here?! Darius knew the demon was just joking, but why couldn’t he meet some nice little fairy girl with pink hair that liked sweet treats or something. Nope, not in Avalia.

Kol let out a low sigh. He was not fond of Zorrah. Sure she did her job, but only after one reminded her multiple times. The demoness was simply undisciplined. Kol cleared his throat to get the attention of pair before motioning for the two to follow him through the doorway leading the staircase, and follow they did. The second floor opened up to a long hall with doors along both its sides decorated with deep blue furnishings throughout.

“And now to show you your living quarters.” Kol stopped at one of the doors in the hallway and opened it. He walked inside, but let himself remain close to the entrance to allow Darius and Myra to enter past him. The room could only be described as incredible. The candles were all lit, leaving no little to no dark spots within the room decorated in deep shades of blue. Darius couldn’t help but smile as he looked around with bright wide eyes, while Kol just remained silently by the doorway.

"That's a fair point." Torvi said with a nod, knowing that oftentimes the wealthy fair better than others. Wealth equals power in most societies, but with power came another common craving that could work in their favor. "However there is bound to be those of the wealthy wanting more power. I'm sure some desire to improve their station to the highest standing they can." She was trying her best to choose her words carefully. Last thing they needed was for someone to overhear their conversation and turn them in for treasonous talk. If people were paying close enough attention that could still be the case, but the plus side in being in a tavern was the fact that people were often too drunk to notice or care.

She contemplated things a bit more as she finished off her drink. The ball really wasn't the best plan if she were being honest, but what other options did they have right now? There wasn't much they could do. Besides, could be kind of fun to dress up and pretend to be part of the wealthy crowd. The thought of Bowyn in formal wear made her smirk a bit. "Oh come now, it sounds like you don't want to dress up and be all fancy. It could be fun. You'd probably clean up nicely. You might even be, dare I say it, handsome!" She teased him and then giggled a bit at herself.

She glanced down at her empty cup and then over to the bar, debating on getting another drink. That's when she heard Bowyn's solemn remark and she turned back to him. Her heart ached just a bit as she did, but he was right. She reached out and gently took his hand, giving it a soft squeeze. "I know and we won't make a mistake. We'll think things through as thoroughly as possible." She reassured him, but gave him a sad smile. They had to be so very careful. She let go of his hand after a moment and took his glass. "For now, though, let me go get us another drink. That man at that table over there was kind enough to donate some amas for us." She said with a sly smile as she held up a few amas she'd managed to swipe from a very inebriated man while Bowyn was originally ordering drinks. She then went to go get them some more alcohol to continue to drown their sorrows.

His mother is imprisoned by Aklenroth for a long time up north? And he's not the only child… Kenia thought to herself, alarm bells ringing in her head. Something was quite off with this boy, if he really were a boy. There was something familiar sounding about his story, but she couldn't quite place what it was. All she knew was that it had her feeling very uneasy. She glanced at Malachi briefly, wondering what he was thinking. Was he concerned as much as she was? As far as she was concerned, Zelginn had only proven himself to be a thief, a liar, and an instigator. These were all a recipe for disaster.

"Oh but that is my name, dear Zelginn. I am the Lady Tsarra Kenia Urmicca, I'm known amongst my family as Kenia. However, in the circle of nobles and...admirers, as in Lord Norkas case, I am known as the Lady Tsarra. If you don't believe me, take a look at that golden locket I gave you. My name is engraved on the back." She told him as she gestured to one of the necklaces. Sure enough, if he were to look, the name Tsarra Kenia Urmicca was on it. It was a name she often used when gathering information and she'd built up quite a reputation with it. She'd brought that necklace down just in case he questioned her on it.

He was beginning to try her patience, however, and she needed to be rid of him. He was far too much of a liability and there was still something about him that didn't seem right. She glanced once more to Malachi, waiting for him to put in some input. She was also concerned how he'd look at her if she had to turn to her darker side and dispose of this child. While she didn't wish to do that, she would do so if she felt she had no other choice. Self preservation along with the protection of her family was her first priority always. "Now Zelginn, as much as I appreciate you trying to anyone for your actions, I suggest you stop while you're ahead and do as I say and leave. I have provided you with far more than you deserve and I'm giving you a chance to leave scot free. If you continue to try my patience then we may see just how similar your mother and I really are." With her last words there was a dangerous darkness that crossed over her face. The nice lady was clearly gone now and in her place stood the dangerous and skilled assassin.
