Carolina Reed

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Carolina walked into the room as she looked around seeing some familiar faces in the room, seeing the Fantastic Four again who she hadn't seen since the House of M, and the members of the Avengers. She looked out of the window seeing the weird purple clouds that have been appearing all day. She wasn't sure what was going on exactly just yet, when Reed started to say what it was that was going on outside, ad seeing the clouds getting somewhat darker and a figure with glowing eyes started to appear as well. Carolina hadn't seen anyone that big before at all.

She was quiet for the most part kind of nervous as well, to as they started to talk about a plan to actually defeat Galactus, which seemed to be a lot harder. "So, how big is the ship he owns exactly?" Carolina asked, seeing the guy it looked like it was really huge as she looked at everyone else. She leaned herself up against a nearby all, Carolina was still dealing with her head injury somewhat and usually tried to lean on things just in case she lost balance. She looked at Tony for a moment when he mentioned them being kids still, she was legally an adult now anyway.

Bethany Bell

Location: Stark Tower

Bethany walked in with the others as she looked at everyone in the room seeing the members of the Fantastic Four, and Avengers in there was pretty cool. She found herself a spot to sit, and started to listen to the others mentioning what was actually going on, and took a look outside seeing the purple clouds that were there. She had a feeling that it was something big that would be going on as well and looked over at Mary. "It feels like another day at the office it seems." She said with a slight shrug, and turned her attention back towards the others.

The plan seemed to be a little bit harder, with the Avengers and Fantastic Four going to deal with Galactus or his Herald and them going into his ship to steal the weapon that actually scares him. Bethany looked at Tony for a moment and shook his head slightly, sure he had been a hero far longer than some of them have been. "Most of us are technically legal adults now though." She pointed out shrugging slightly.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Stark Tower -- New York City, New York.
Skills:

The plane ride wasn’t so bad. Antoinette sat near the window looking out over New York City and the strange clouds swirling above. The city itself didn’t seem any different, which was strange considering everything that had happened within the city only a short month ago. Antoinette sighed and pulled her sweater up around her face and huddled into her clothes until they descended on top of Stark Tower. Carolina had been helping Antoinette get a better grip on her PTSD and she was able to sleep through the night at least three times a week now which was good for her but the evidence of her struggles was still plain on her face her loss of weight as well. She was cold most of the time these days.

Antoinette followed the rest of the X-Men and her friends into Stark Tower. There were several familiar faces along with a few that Antoinette only ever saw in magazines or on TV. Her eyes widened when she saw Thor and Captain America. She latched onto Carolina, tugging on her arm to make sure she was seeing them too. To have so many of them in one room was equally exciting yet terrifying. Antoinette was used to that feeling, it seemed their lives lived in that strange realm to begin with.

Talk within the room quickly shifted to a new threat on Earth and she looked out the window watching the purple clouds shift to reveal eyes. Antoinette moved to the window, getting a better look at the strange thing while talk continued on about who it was and what the mission was. She leaned against the window, turning her head only when Mary spoke up about them being the ones who would be shot into space. It shouldn’t be surprising, they were expendable as sad as it was and most of them had survived the M-Pox as well.

”The device, on Galactus’s ship, what does it look like?” Finding it would be tricky but knowing what it looked like would help them all immensely and then they would have to decide who would be the distraction. It always seemed like they needed a distraction.

Iris Rivers

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Iris knew she'd never get used to flying. It wasn't exactly that flying scared her, though there was something unsettling about hanging in the air with no support from anything other than the fickle mistress of physics, which, if her time with the X-Men had taught her anything, was not constant. But mainly, it just felt, to her, extremely unnatural. Iris would never claim to be one of those people who get so obsessed with separating from society that they abhor all forms of technology. Quite the contrary, actually; Iris had loved learning about all the new toys and tidbits she'd missed out on while she was in Oregon. But flying just didn't sit well with her. People are constantly scared of falling off rooftops or driving off cliffs, but as soon as they get into an iron burrito decorated with flimsy slabs of sheet metal, those fears drift away. It always seemed odd to Iris.

Once the Blackbird had landed, Iris followed the others into Stark Tower. She purposely fell towards the back of the group as they walked. Being relatively new to the group, she'd only heard of the heroes they'd be meeting in passing. She had no clue what to expect. What she definitely wasn't expecting, however, was what she got: a room full of people who looked like they were coming from a costume party. It caused Iris' lips to curl into an involuntary grin, despite the somber feeling throughout the room. Best of all, everyone looked so serious. It was so brilliantly absurd that Iris couldn't help but stifle a small laugh. For once, Upsilon, who took up residence eerily lingering behind a couch where a man and a pregnant woman sat, was among the more normal-looking in the room, at very least in terms of apparel.

Iris drifted towards the outer edges of the room, standing in front of a window as everyone sauntered to different parts of the room. She listened as the group discussed, though her eyes often drifted from the costumed heroes to the massive purple clouds outside. Not too long after the discussion started, Iris could see a pair of sharp, glowing piercing through the clouds, before they began to separate, revealing the head of something bigger than anything she had ever seen. Her jaw dropped, and let out a quiet gasp.

"Holy flaming fuckballs..." she mumbled to herself as she stared up at the thing, before turning back to the others. As the others began to ask questions, and one, Bethany, Iris remembered her name was, tried to argue for them being capable adults, Iris stepped up. "I think the guy with the goatee has a point," she said to her peers, pointing a thumb at one of the more casually dressed people, the only odd thing about him being his seemingly glowing chest. "As totally dope as I think it would be to go to space, are we really the best ones for the job? I mean, a decent amount of us can't even legally drink."

Allison Andrews

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Allison had dealt with recent events in the best way possible, she felt. Not only did they bring back reality from Wanda, they dealt with M-Pox, a time in which Allison wasn't sure she and the others would make it. The one blessing was being able to see Oshea again. She knew he wanted time away to process the fact he was killed, brought back in an alternate reality, and then returned as if nothing happened, but she also knew how much she wanted to be with him, to make up for lost time. Still, he visited her while she was sick, making her feel worlds better.

And now they were walking into Stark Tower and told about a being called the World Eater and were tasked with saving the world yet again. Truly, their job was never done.

"It makes sense though. We aren't widely known outside of Earth. We stand a better chance than anyone else. And I mean, come on guys, we saved the world on numerous occasions. I say let's do it!" Allison cheered. She was happy to be back to her more peppy self, given all that has happened.

Sara Grey

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Sara loved life or death situations as much as the next girl, but even she was struck by how often they were asked to handle them. Granted, she didn't deal with an alternate reality like some of her team, but she heard the events. Plus M-Pox was a big deal. As one of the few not sick, she took it upon herself to put 100% effort into helping the team. Finally, she found a place she belonged and wanted to make sure it stayed that way.

She also got closer to Neil at that time. She hadn't expected to find a boyfriend on her journey here, but she was happy he was a part of her life. She stood nearby him while they were all inside Stark Tower, listening to everyone else talk about their upcoming mission. "Yeah yeah, save the world, be home in time for Real Housewives of New York. Anything else of note? Are we going in guns blazing or does this require finesse? We don't have the best track record of stealth, I might add."

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
It was more than a little weird for Guin to see the Fantastic Four. The last time she had seen them all had been in the alternate world her future sister-in-law, Wanda, had constructed... and Guin had asked her fiancé to basically help her with assisted suicide, after admitting that she had a thing for the Human Torch growing up. It hadn't been her finest moment by any standards. And then of course, the Avengers were here - an amazing, incredible group of heroes who had seen her in the grips of drug addiction and all of the messy emotional drama that rich teenagers got up to. Guin didn't usually get embarrassed, but as her dad waved at her she couldn't help but grimace slightly. This was bound to get rough.

"Why is it always something terrible in the sky with the Avengers?" Guin muttered under her breath, as Mister Fantastic explained the situation at hand. Her blood felt cold. Something called the World Eater hardly was on her top ten list of threats she wanted to face - but then again, had Magneto, President Jakobsen, Mesmero, and the Scarlet Witch been on the list? They never really got to pick who was going to cause problems. What she wouldn't give for a vacation at this rate... She frowned slightly when Richards mentioned that the Nullifier would kill whoever used it. Someone wasn't going to make it out of this alive. "Couldn't we, y'know, program a robot to use the nullifier? Or does it have to be a living person?" she asked.

She snorted slightly when Richards then proposed that of all the teams, the X-Men were going to be sent off to steal this device. If they were living in one of the CW TV shows, this definitely would have been the annual crossover episode. It felt like a Tuesday. One of the new girls made a point that most of them couldn't legally drink and Guin rolled her eyes slightly. "We're old enough to go die for our country in the military, this isn't that much different." Not that she wanted to die, of course - but she hated being called a kid. She was twenty one years old, after all, and engaged!

"Do you have a means of tracking the device? And navigating the ship? Since I doubt Piet will want to run everyone around if the ship is as massive as I'm expecting it to be..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Neil had been lucky enough to not be afflicted by M-Pox, but that didn't mean he escaped its consequences. Anti-mutant hate groups had taken advantage of the tensions and escalated their tactics, especially in the nation's capital in Washington D.C. Sure, the X-Men were seen as superheroes by the majority of the public, but ordinary mutants weren't. They still lived in fear. As much as he hated to admit it, mutants were basically victims... unable to fight back. So the X-Men had to do it for them.

He took Sara's hand gently as Mister Fantastic started explaining the situation, listening attentively to the conversation. Neil wasn't the most talkative person, preferring to think to himself as to what could be done. They didn't really have a choice as to whether or not they could do this. They couldn't just let Galactus consume the planet - everyone would perish, maybe some of the rich with fancy escape plans could survive, but even that he doubted. The Fantastic Four and the Avengers couldn't do it, and while they were young, the X-Men did have some experience with this sort of thing. Most of the team (not him) had even saved reality after the Scarlet Witch altered it. Of course, Neil couldn't help but also notice that if mutants saved the world from Galactus, just maybe it would change people's minds and hearts.... Maybe mutant hate would begin to subside.

The others were asking good questions, all of them essentially being the questions that Neil himself had.

Akane knitted quietly during the plane ride towards Stark towers, sitting near the front in her x-men suit and already in her Red Oni form. A uniquely quiet moment for the girl as she let herself focus on the task instead of rambling whatever thought popped into her ADHD riddled head. So there she remained, looping soft threads into each other as her mind absently thought of the previous months. It had taken an emotional toll out of the girl. She was one of the few that were lucky enough to have avoided getting infected with the M-Pox. Though watching her friends suffer as they did wreaked havoc within her. Seeing them weak and in pain and being able to do nothing at all to alleviate it was taxing on her emotions. She did her best to remain helpful during that time, but ultimately it felt like it was never enough. Even now, after they were all better, she still felt guilty in some respect. She hides it well but it's a dark thought that persists uncomfortably in the back of her mind.

As she felt the plane begin it's descent she looked up from her small quilted piece of fabric, blinking a few times as the truly somber nature of the inside of the plane sunk in. She looked out the window over her shoulder, marveling at the pristine machinery beautiful displayed. She doubted it was only for show; it was Stark Tower after all, she was certain this wasn't even the good stuff.

Akane stood, using her hands to brush flat any wrinkles that had formed after sitting so long. She followed the group out and down the hallways until they found themselves filing into the large room. Her crimson eyes grew in utter shock at the array of heroes that filled the room before them. It was like all of her heroes were right there in front of her and she was suffering a sensory overload.

Eventually she anchored her head towards Iris, "Think it would be weird if I asked for their autographs...? Akane quietly breathed out the words, hoping she was quiet enough that only Iris could hear.

Though her attention didn't remain long enough before she was pulled towards something shiny nearly on the other side of the room. With a quiet ooh! Akane moved around the room along the far side until she happened up a small metal statuette, looking over in intently at all the small details. As she bounced from one shiny object to the next there seemed to be conversation going on between the groups as she completely missed.

Finally Akane took a look out of the glass wall, seeing the giant purple face looming in the sky down at the Earth. In rushed movements she tried to scurry away, though tripped over herself and pointed out to it.

"Holy shit! There's a face in the sky!" She stated frantically, looking back to the group to make sure they saw it as well. Though the unphased reactions of the group made it click that THAT was what was being spoken about and what Akane seemed to miss. Luckily Akane's cheeks were already bright red, so the blush of embarrassment would go unnoticed. Akane hurried back to her feet, awkwardly clearing her throat and fixing her uniform to regain any semblance of respect she might have had before that moment. With a quiet sorry to the room she awkwardly scooted herself back to stand beside Iris; remaining quietly and doing her best to pay attention to the meeting from this point on.

"Wait, who said anything about dying?" Pietro said immediately, looking at Guin.

"Yeah, you are still a kid until you can get a rental car without getting a bunch of fees added to your bill. Richards, you have to realize that this is a horrible idea!"

"I think this is also technically child labor," Banner chimed in. "Where the hell do you get off, sending a bunch of kids to die?!" he then snapped at Richards, a vein bulging on his forehead. He looked a little green.

"Banner calm down a bit, but I totally agree with you there!"

Richards let out a bit of a sigh, he had expected this to be a plan that many wouldn't exactly agree with, but he hadn't gotten around to mentioning what the rest of them were doing. "Look, I don't really like the plan either, I'll admit that, but I didn't get around to mentioning what the rest of us will be doing. The rest of us, hopefully, will see about buying them time, which means going up there and trying to hold of Galactus' attack, stall essentially... And hopefully draw his herald out so that they don't have to worry about him..."

"Yeah, they run into one of his heralds, and damn most people would probably say that they would be completely screwed... Though you can't help but feel bad for them, they essentially have no choice but to do what Galactus wants or whatever, but their power... It's insane." Johnny said, from the sounds of it this actually seemed like something he knew quite a bit about.

"Tell us about the herald," Black Widow asked.

"He's called the Silver Surfer, at least that was the last herald he had, rather not um... Go into who was more or less his uh, last one," he responded, coughing slightly, not really wanting to go too much into detail. "He's imbued with a power known as the Power Cosmic, or more of a fraction of it... It's something that Galactus imbues all of his heralds with. Which means that the amount of power that the Surfer has, well, is probably enough to do a lot of serious damage himself if he wanted to. Meaning whoever does run into him is not going to have a simple job, at all."

"So, once again, essentially the end of the world if we fail, just that whoever runs into him might not live to tell the tale about it later... Sounds like stuff that generally happens, end of the world or whatever seems to happen a lot more often then people should actually be comfortable with..." Mary commented, agreeing with the several others who had mentioned that sort of thing.

"What exactly is the power cosmic? Sounds vague," Barton chimed in.

"It's a bit hard to explain, but the Power Cosmic is essentially god like power, more so then any other force in the universe that you probably have come across. It's actually wielded by Galactus himself, and allows him to manipulate just about anything, as well as it is partially the reason why he needs to consume entire worlds, it is the only way for him to stay alive, and usually his heralds lead Galactus to uninhabited worlds, but apparently not this time... But Galactus gives each of his heralds a small portion of the Power Cosmic in order for them to do their jobs essentially. As for how big the ship is," Richards said, looking over at Carolina, "It's the size of a solar system, it's huge, meaning odds are that it will take a while to comb over every inch of it... Unless of course you are the speedster, but even still it would take a while."

"So essentially we'd need another way to potentially traverse the ship if we have any hopes of trying to find the device before Galactus ends up destroying the Earth."

"Well I mean, that sort of thing shouldn't be too hard, a vehicle wouldn't exactly be the best sort of thing though for it... I mean I guess technically the Iron Man suit would be able to zip around there fairly quickly..."

"Ms. Stark, you can't program a robot to do that sort of thing, Galactus would not fall for it more or less, since to him it would appear that no one would be willing to sacrifice their life to stop him. But it likely won't come to someone using it... Now as for what the device looks like," he continued, pulling up an image up on a screen. "This is the device that you'd be looking for."

"We'd likely want to make this a stealth mission of sorts, to hopefully not alert Galactus to our presence on his ship. Since if he does, then everything will fall apart... Do you have a way to get us up there without the obvious way of just flying there?"

""Yes, I have a device that can easily transport you up there."

"So no one else aside from a select few seems to think that it is bad that we are essentially as I said before sending the kids up there on a suicide run?????" Tony repeated.

Carolina looked over at Annie and smiled towards her friend as she held onto her, and gave her a friendly nod, as she listened to everyone as they spoke. "Any idea where it would be then if the ship is that huge, and aside from the herald is there anything else we should expect while we are on his ship?" Carolina asked, because if the ship was that size it would take a really long time for them to search it even if they had Pietro with them.

Carolina listened to Tony complain about it all still that they would all be going on the mission as well. "You were fine when we were fighting in the reality that Wanda made, this isn't that much different." Carolina pointed out, she was pretty much used to fighting at this point as well. She didn't really like it but they all didn't really have to much of a choice either as well since the plan was the best that they had at the moment.

Bethany leaned herself up against a nearby wall as she listened to everyone speaking, as she watched everyone a little bit longer running a hand through her hair slightly. "Cant we just throw Pluto at him or something? That planet is pretty much useless." Bethany chimed in as she looked between both Captain America and Johnny Storm, the two of them certainly did look a lot a like actually. "Also, are you two twins or something because you two look a like." Bethany said, trying to lessen the tension in the room, she didn't really have any problems with fighting.

The size of the ship was pretty daunting as well, having to find the device that Galactus was so scared of was pretty hard as well it would take them pretty much forever to try and find it. But they team has faced a lot of other problems as well, she was pretty sure that they all could handle everything as well with no issues.

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: Problem Solving
Guin raised an eyebrow at the red mutant, Akane - she reminded her some of Allison back when they first joined the X-Men. She was naive, innocent, and giddy - though her lack of situational awareness was rather salient as well. At the very least, she hadn't gone over to ask Guin's father for his autograph. She was always annoyed when her teammates treated Tony Stark like the celebrity he was. "I dunno, the entire dying thing seems kinda implied when you're stealing the real world equivalent of a mini Death Star to kill something called the World Eater," Guin pointed out to her fiancé. The Power Cosmic that the heralds had sounded a bit to her like either the Force or the ability to go Super Saiyan or whatever the latest shtick was in Dragonball Z.

"...The size of a solar system? There's no way we could move fast enough to search that entire ship. Please tell me you have at least a general idea of where he keeps it - like, maybe an area Pluto or smaller in terms of size?" Guin hoped. The rough distance from the Sun to Pluto was about 6,000,000,000 kilometers. To be able to cover the entire ship just in a straight line, assuming that they could go about Mach 3 in whatever tech they used, it would take them 225 years. Richards' device would have to get them to a general area or they wouldn't stand a chance of finding and retrieving the device in time - and her math was just assuming they traveled along a straight line without any pauses. "Since otherwise, it'll be over 225 years for us to search Galactus' entire ship."

Bethany's suggestion did give Guin an idea however. Sure, they couldn't just throw a planet at Galactus but killing him did sound like a good choice. "Also... Why stop at threatening him? Why not actually put him six feet under? Since it sounds to me like him trying to eat planets is a recurring problem you guys have had. We could just find someone on Death Row and mind control them into using the device on Galactus."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Neil didn't judge Akane too much at her outburst about the giant face in the sky - seeing Galactus like that was definitely unnerving. And unlike the others in the group, Neil had only really fought Mesmero before. He hadn't seen some of the truly insane things that the others had gone through. He understood Stark and Banner's concerns about sending the X-Men up into the ship, but this sort of situation... They didn't have time really to pause and wait. They needed to start making moves now or the Earth could be consumed by the World Eater. Guin's mathematical estimation made his blood run cold though. "Do you have something to help us move quickly?" Neil asked. He really didn't want to die up on Galactus' ship from old age of all causes. "...And maybe we could have Thor or someone come with us, since some of us are kids and he has a lot of experience with aliens?" Neil suggested. He understood why they couldn't have all of the Avengers or the Fantastic Four go look for the device, but he bet the God of Hammers could at least come chaperone them.

Neil's eyes widened slightly at Guin's suggestion, far preferring Bethany's plan. It was a little bit darker than he had expected from the kid of one of the Avengers. While it was technically sound, it struck him as immoral, forcing someone to sacrifice themselves like that just to kill a cosmic being. And from his experiences in magic, being raised by two witches, Neil figured that they likely would run into a lot of problems if Galactus was dead. Darkness could not exist without light - the two are needed to balance each other out. Killing Galactus might just bring something far more terrible to replace the World Eater.

Location: Stark Tower -- New York City, New York.

The information on the size of the ship was rather daunting but at least they knew what the object in question looked like. Antoinette looked at the image of the device, trying to commit the image to memory. With the supposed size of the ship, there was a slim chance they would find the device quickly; although, they’ve been lucky before, if not in the way they expect. ”Do we have any idea where it might be approximately on the ship?” It would be so much easier if they had an outline of the ship. Antoinette could sketch the thing out or create an illusion of it on a smaller scale.
She walked back over and stood with Carolina, crossing her arms. There wasn’t much ability Antoinette had in this situation other than to ask questions. She didn’t have speed, she didn’t have the mechanics to understand a ship or how it worked but her intuition could potentially help her to get a lead on where the item might be. They would have to move quickly, that much was obvious. She looked over at Carolina, smiling softly at her friend before taking her hand in hers. At least they could do this together this time.

Iris Rivers

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

When Guin brought up the point about being old enough to join the army, Iris raised a finger as her mind tried half-heartedly to find a counterpoint, only to realize that the girl had a point. Though in Iris' mind, that point was less in support of sending young people to find a giant space gun, and more in opposition to the American military system. The point, nonetheless, stopped Iris from arguing, though even if it hadn't, Akane bouncing into place beside her probably would have. Akane's question caused Iris to scan the room once again, taking another look at all the people in their various outfits.

"Yeah, probably," she replied though the question did arouse Iris' curiosity. Were all of them Avengers? She had sort of assumed they were a smaller group. She'd only ever really heard about the Iron Man guy, the Captain America dude, the Black Widow chick, and that rich Tony Stark person, who she assumed funded the team. But looking at all the people there, she realized just how many Avengers there must be. "Is everyone here-" she began, turning back to look at Akane, only to find that she was already on the other side of the room, poking at some shiny statuette. The sight made Iris let out a quiet laugh, despite the serious tone of the room.

As the conversation between everyone, young and old, progressed, Iris listened with interest, not chiming in. She didn't have too much of an opinion on anything, other than how qualified they actually were, which was largely disagreed with by the other members of her group. Her face lit up with surprise when one of the men mentioned the ship was the size of a solar system. Iris couldn't even conceive of something so massive. Though her face melted to disappointment when the image of the nullifier was brought up. She'd hoped the device would look less...boring. She'd hoped it'd have lights and bright colors decorating its entirety, but instead it was rather bland. Her eyes flicked over to Tony when he made his comment, giving a small nod.

"Dude, I totally get you, but I have a feeling we're not gonna win this argument," Iris said, before turning her attention to Guin again. Her eyebrows furrowed together as the girl suggested using mind control to get a criminal to kill Galactus. She gave a small shake of her head. "We could do that, but it'd be fucking evil. I mean, we could maybe try to work out a deal with someone on death row, pay for their kids' education or something."

Akane remained still by Iris' side as everyone spoke. She tried to pay attention to what everyone was saying but she was constantly catching her mind drifting on mindless thoughts that random statements sent her spiraling down weird rabbit holes. With a light shake of her head when she caught herself mentally drifting to refocus. Suddenly she heard Iris' familiar voice, her burning red eyes turning to look at her friend as she spoke.

She felt she missed something. What exactly was evil? She wanted to ask but felt it would be a bad look to admit she wasn't paying attention as well as she should have been. Maybe the coffee before leaving the mansion was a bad idea. But she loves coffee. LOVES coffee.

She noticed that Iris seemed a bit angered, instinctively reaching out to her and taking a hand in her own in a kind attempt to calm her. She didn't know why Iris was mad, but she assumed it best to defuse her heightened emotions.

"Aye, I can protect and guide the children on the World Eater's vessel. You can console yourself with the assurance that I will be with them, Stark, Banner." Thor commented, finally speaking up during the conversation.

"...Thanks Thor that would make me feel so much better," Tony said with a slight eye roll.

"You are welcome, Stark," Thor said, gripping Tony's arm and giving him a squeeze.

"....That does make me feel a bit better," Banner admitted.

Pietro more or less sort of stared at Guin for a moment, clearly looking somewhat shocked at Guin's words. Despite what most people tended to believe nowadays, to some it was obvious that Pietro was borderline a psychopath at times, and unlike what he knew Guin tended to say, he actually considered himself to still be a criminal. "...So how about just have me do it then if you are so clearly wanting to get rid of a criminal," Pietro snapped at her. "Since you seem soooooooo keen on the idea of just sending some random person to their death just because they are also a freaking criminal and in jail. Despite popular belief, I actually was on death row once myself, but ended up just getting sent back to the Raft because I was deem unfit mentally and too young so Wanda and I were sent back to the Raft yet again. So how about you don't just sit there talking about killing people so easily!" With those last words, Pietro looked away, and Guin would feel that he was now mentally blocking her out entirely.

Reed let out a bit of a sigh, before he just shook his head slightly at the commotion around him, figuring it likely would be better to answer one of the other questions that had been raised. "We've been able to track the signal somewhat within the ship, but you should be able to track it more effectively while on board of the ship itself. From what we can tell, the signal is coming from the middle of the vessel..."

"Ah yes where his menagerie of creatures are! I swear it's like a zoo in there, you have no idea what alien race you are going to run into... Wouldn't surprise me if the device was smack dab in the middle of everything, since it probably would be the most easily defended. Also hell no am I a twin to the freak Star Spangled Soldier over there!" Johnny said, snapping slightly with those last words towards Bethany.

"Not to mention the major age difference." Steve commented.

"Look, just calm down all of you, yelling about this isn't going to make anything better... And Iris, going to be blunt, yes, okay, I get that the idea is bad and hell I'm against killing them about it still, but calling people evil is probably not the best idea right now," Mary said calmly. She had partially said this last part since Pietro was shooting daggers at her, and if looks could kill Iris probably would be dead a hundred times over by now.

"...I kind of don't like the idea of just randomly killing the guy either, since yeah, it would be a practical solution, but getting someone from death row to do that or whatever, I don't know, I personally feel like some of those people would double cross us and use it against us as opposed to against Galactus or something... No offense Pietro, but there are some people out there who probably aren't worth reasoning with when it comes to this sort of thing."

"No offense taken since honestly I thought that was obvious, sometimes don't think people should try reasoning with my brain," Pietro muttered, still glaring at Iris.

"...Actually what Lance mentioned before isn't too bad of a thought, or something similar anyway," Mira mused, looking around at the group. "Not all of us can run at super speed or essentially twirl a hammer around to zip around places. Even with just a part of the thrusters from Stark's suit would make it more viable for us to fly around the ship. Even one portion of the ship is going to be massive, so the quicker we move, the quicker we can find the device and get out of there."

"I get you, though why stop there, been something I've sort of been tinkering around with ever since Guin ended up getting her powers. Essentially a suit that would allow you to still use your powers, but still be able to fly around at top speed and have a display up that could potentially show a tracking sign for the device."

"That might be our best bet then... Anything would be better then wandering around aimlessly trying to find that thing the slower way. I was about to ask if you had anything that would be able to show the signal for tracking the device, but that kind of went with what you said so great."

"No problem, it just might take JARVIS a little bit. Sure, I like building this sort of thing myself too, but since we need this done rather quickly, can have JARVIS get everything constructed in about an hour tops." Tony responded simply, tapping away at the watch on his wrist.

"Okay, so we've got that sort of squared away, and sounds like Thor is going to tag along, so this'll be fun... Richards, you said you had a way to get us up there potentially and back again... Any chance you could potentially have it so that you send up like, 3 different groups that are separate or something in different parts of the ship in that one sort of area. As mentioned before, it's kind of huge, so splitting up to cover more ground might not be a bad thing."

"Yes, that wouldn't be too difficult, and once you've retrieved the device I can easily bring you all back here again."

"Not to mention the suits will allow you to converse with each other, as well as those of us back here on Earth should you need anything."

Allison Andrews

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Allison glanced over to Pietro and Guin after Pietro began to rant on about being a former criminal and how easy it would be to kill. There had long always been a debate on whether criminals should be put to death or not. And then there was the difference between those with powers or not. Death row was still a thing. She didn't feel that people had the authority to deem whether someone else lives or dies. To her, that screamed supervillain and that was wrong in any way.

"I don't think killing is the way to go either, but I leave it up to the majority. And who knows, the situation may come to be that we don't have a choice in the matter." Soon the talk drifted to how they would move around and Allison's ears twitched upon hearing the use of the Iron Man suit.

"Wait, we would get to wear Iron Man suits?" Her eyes almost sparkled. She hadn't really gotten over her initial Iron Man fangirling, but hearing they could potentially wear the very suit was something she had dreamed of.

Sara Grey

Sara wasn't quite sure they the debate over their ages continued to linger or why they felt the need to keep hammering how young they were. Granted, she allowed Bruce to worry about his kid, as well as Tony, but everyone else it shouldn't matter. After all, the amount of world-saving they did on an almost daily basis surely put points in their favor.

No, what her biggest concern was how they were going to stop someone called the World Eater. The title alone seemed like a force to be reckoned with and not something that would be easily stopped by a group of well-meaning, kind-of-badass group of young adults. "So speaking from experience, this most likely will not be a cakewalk. Do we have a solid plan B in place then? Plan C? I'm just basing this off the fact that past missions have never quite gone how we intended them to go. I'm all for Iron Man suits and flying around and going on the ship and ker-blamming whatever needs to be ker-blammed, but I am also smart and think we need a failsafe, just in case."

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Barely seconds after Guin asked if they had a rough idea of where the device was on the ship given travel and distance concerns, in a similar sentiment to Carolina's question, Annie had to ask the same exact thing. The repetition of questions probably wasn't helping their case that they were competent adults capable of saving the world without a babysitter (i.e., Professor X). One of the new girls, Iris, called Guin's idea evil and she raised a slight eyebrow. Was it the most ethical idea? Not at all - but at least it was an option that would keep this World Eater from gobbling up some other planet like it was Thanksgiving Dinner.

Pietro reacted way more harshly to her suggestion than Guin had suggested and she sighed slightly. A year or so ago, she might have dug her heels in and continued to argue for the competency of the idea, but they just didn't have time to argue about this. I'm sorry, Piet - I didn't mean to hurt you... Guin apologized, whispering into Pietro's mind but he had blocked her out - meaning that she couldn't even talk to him. He was incredibly pissed at her. "Alright, alright, I get it - you guys all hate that idea," Guin said, raising her hands slightly to show physically that she was backing away from the subject. She did agree with Sara that they needed a back up plan, but the entire I'm smart justification was a little bit weird, but whatever. To each their own.

Her father's mention of him working on a suit for her caught her attention. Guin had been working on her own suit, currently dubbed the Iron Star Mark I, ever since they returned from the House of M reality. But given that her powers were easily the most useless ones on the team, as her primary skill was just body hopping, she didn't really see the motivation for her dad to make a suit that would let her use them - especially since that meant anyone she switched bodies with would end up inside of a fully outfitted Iron Man suit.

Pietro clearly didn't want anything to do with her at the moment, so Guin imagined that they wouldn't be in the same group this time... and that was fine. As painful as some of the moments in House of M had been, she had rediscovered her native resiliency and independence. Her real skillset she had to offer for this mission would be her tech skills - everyone else pretty much had combat powers that would be useful. She shoved her hands into her pockets. "Lance, Mira, and I should be on separate teams - since we're the techies of the group and I have a feeling that'll be important in the crazy space zoo scavenger hunt."

Neil Spellman

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Neil grimaced slightly as the speedster went off on his rant, reminding everyone of his questionable mental stability. He was the son of Magneto after all, one of the X-Men's most well known and frequent villains, and his sister had just warped all of reality for her own benefit less than a year ago. From what he could tell, the only reason Pietro decided to be on their side was because of his fiancée. Neil couldn't help but be slightly excited at the talk of all of them getting to use Iron Man suits, the most iconic piece of equipment that the Avengers had.

His heart sunk a little bit as he realized something - Sara was right, no one had mentioned an alternative plan that didn't require getting this device. If the X-Men failed, then... Well then the world would be consumed by Galactus. "This is our only shot then - the only way to save the world," he said quietly, wishing that they had a Plan B or a Plan C but it didn't seem to be the case. If there was a different way to handle things, Richards would have proposed that right? Rather than sending the X-Men up onto the ship alone while the rest distracted the Herald?

Carolina Reed

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Carolina looked at Guin for a moment at her suggestion, she didn't really think that paying off some kind of criminal on death row to help save the world would be a good idea. She started to play around with the idea of maybe possessing Galactus' herald, sure the device did say it would kill anyone who was living to die, she wasn't sure if it would work spiritually however or if she could possess the Silver Surfer. She looked at the Avengers and the Fantastic Four who were there having the most experience it felt like fighting him, she wasn't sure if her idea would work.

Carolina looked over at Annie and smiled towards her friend gently messing her hair a little bit before speaking. "Would taking control over the Silver Surfer work? If we manage to find the weapon and get down, I could maybe possess him and hand the device to me if I can control him and use the weapon as him on Galactus? We kill two birds with one stone, the herald dies and Galactus to." Carolina said, looking over at the others. Carolina then instantly perked up at the idea of having an Iron Man suit, she always did want to know how they worked and it was really cool.

Bethany Bell
[

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Bethany looked at the Human Torch and Captain America, laughed slightly. "Relax, I'm only joking don't get your panties up in a bunch, you two look like clones though just saying which is pretty cool." Beth said as she leaned up against the wall looking at the others as they spoke, at least they narrowed down the area a little bit, but still a rather huge area. Bethany rubbed the back of her neck as she heard Guin's suggestion, she didn't have a problem using a criminal if they managed to find the device to use against Galactus.

Bethany's attention turned towards Tony hearing his idea and smiled, an Iron Man suit was actually a really cool thing and it would really be helpful for their mission against Galactus as well. "Now that's actually pretty cool." Bethany said, as she looked over a Carolina hearing her idea she wasn't sure if it would actually work or not though.

Elizabeth Flame

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Surreal. That was the word. Elizabeth had been trying to come up with exactly how to describe this situation from the moment she stepped off the blackbird, and that was perfect. How else would one describe being told by the Avengers, in their home base, that they had to go up and stop the world from being devoured? It was like mortals being summoned to Mount Olympus, and then tasked to save Pompeii by Zeus himself. Now, she understood, vaguely, why the Avengers themselves couldn't stop this oncoming threat, but that didn't mean it at all made sense on an existential level. Still, she was never one to shy away from a challenge, even if it was something patently insane.

Taking a moment to find her voice, she consciously replaced the shocked look on her face with one that projected confidence, something she'd been struggling to do for awhile. "Some of us," She clarified, "Aren't even old enough to drive. But I'm not about to let that stop me." Truth be told, she was speaking without thought, still not internalizing the scope of what had been asked of them, but hell, if it meant she got to kick ass and wear an iron man suit to boot, she wasn't gonna say no. This adventure sounded like just the thing she needed right now. Sitting around and being sad hadn't gotten her very far since her accident, and this sounded like the literal opposite of that.

The moral question, on the other hand, was of very little interest to her. If this Galactus had been destroying planets for so long, maybe it was about time for somebody to punch back, That was how bullies acted; they take what the want, until somebody finally punches their nose in. The equivalent of that, in this case, would be killing the bully, of course. But again, she didn't care. This thing was threatening her, and everybody she ever knew, so whatever happened next was it's own fault. "Since it sounds like this thing would kill us without a second thought, I don't see why we care if it dies or not. We can figure out details later." She shrugged.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Stark Tower -- New York City, New York.
Skills:

At least they had a rough idea, that relaxed Antoinette a little bit and once they were on the ship, they would be able to track the device better. Like most of the others from the academy, Antoinette perked up at the idea of being able to wear an Iron Man suit, now that would be something else. Her own eyes sparkled and flashed from the idea of it, she could picture it clearly now. Not only would that cut down on their time, but it would also come in handy should they need to make their own distractions, plus their safety.
Antoinette shook her head after Carolina messed up her hair, looking up and going cross eyed as she tried to smooth hair she couldn’t see. Her eyes snapped back when her friend suggested possessing the Silver Surfer. Now that just sounded like a horrible idea to her, making Carolina’s body vulnerable for one and risking all of their exposure for another. She grabbed onto her friends hands and looked at the others in the room, the ones who seemed to be calling the shots. Antoinette wasn't completely comfortable with the idea of it, or the possibility of loosing her friend. She didn't have much, didn't need much but Carolina, she had become a sort of lifeline to Antoinette as of late.

Iris Rivers

Location: Stark Tower
Skills: N/A

Iris felt a strange sort of gratification when Pietro, Guin's own fiance, seemed to agree with Iris, as was evident with his outburst. It could best be described as moral validation. If someone so close to Guin seemed to think it was as bad of an idea as Iris did, then she felt she must've been in the right. That seemed to melt away to confusion, however, when she was met by Pietro's glaring eyes. She was taken aback by the sudden shooting daggers, unsure of why he stared at her with such hatred after just agreeing with her. The question in her mind was quickly answered by Marygold, who made her realize the miscommunication.

"Oh, no, I wasn't-" She began, before being cut off as the discussion continue. Her eyes went back to Pietro, who remained staring at her, spite in his eyes. She felt a heat in her chest, an exasperation of sorts, though it wasn't quite anger. And it wasn't directed at Pietro, or anybody for that matter, more at her lack of opportunity to explain herself. Out of the corner of her eye, however, she saw Upsilon begin to move, leaving his place between the not-twins, and approaching Pietro. Iris' eyes began to flick between Pietro and Upsilon, as the disfigured specter got uncomfortably close to the speedster. Then, Iris felt a sensation on her hand. Instinctively, she flinched away from it, before consciously letting it limp so that Akane could grab hold of it. Iris closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath in through her nose, exhaling, and then opening her eyes. Upsilon had backed away from Pietro, lurking behind him, and she could feel her annoyance melt away, and turned her attention back to the conversation at hand.

The topic seemed to have turned to some sort of space suit. Given the fact that they were talking about going to space, Iris could only assume it was a space suit they were discussing. The image of a space suit entered Iris' mind: big and clunky, hard to move around in, the kind of thing that would hinder Iris' mobility and martial arts. That, paired with the lack of oxygen in space, which would effectively disable her fire-based abilities that were unreliable at the best of times anyhow, left her unsure of what she exactly she'd do up there besides be an extra pair of eyes. Though when she heard someone mention an 'Iron Man suit' she wasn't sure what to make of it. The image of the space suit in her mind changed somewhat, keeping the same general design, but with a layer of metal over it. It still didn't particularly float her boat.

Everyone was talking so much. So many ideas were being thrown around it was hard to keep track of what the plan was and what was theory crafting. Her head was in a tizzy. Trying to sort through all that was said and trying to forget the random thought paths constantly popping up in her mind after each statement. Akane didn't do well in large groups with near everyone talking. It made her dizzy. Every comment sending her thoughts down a wild path before snapping back to the conversation only to be thrown down another path of thoughts. Absent mindedly squeezing Iris' hand in a manner to keep herself grounded in the present; though with minuscule success.

"What if we, like, get all the hot peppers around the world and throw.. them.. nevermind.." Her voice trailed off, noticing as the more senior members looking absolutely dumbfounded by the ridiculousness of her idea was leading towards. All Akane' knows is that she once ate Curry that was way too spicy to be safe and it messed her up for a real long time.

Feeling embarrassed Akane slyly scooted herself behind Iris to hide. Deciding offering up ideas wasn't in the cards today for her.
