Sean internally questioned Mia's reluctancy. He had long forgotten how many normal interactions occurred. You don't just intercept someone in the park while they're going on their evening run. Who the heck does that? Sean does, that's who.

He was going to speak in response to her initial silence before she proposed speaking while jogging. What? Unfortunately, he didn't have much of a choice. The girl was on the move already and Sean would have to play her game. He was capable, but wasn't very willing. With a grunt he took off towards the two small lights dancing in the darkness between the trees. Once he caught up to her, he matched her pace.

"Your mother never gave me this much trouble you know?" It was a slight complaint, but small chuckle escaped him as well. "As much as I want to go with the normal pleasantries, I always promised this little thing we have going would be strictly business." Sean took two good controlled breaths. "So I need an update on where you're at with the potion. I have about a week's supply left and we need to ensure I don't run out.

"Whoa..." Damien had said when Rose hugged him. He hadn't expected her to do that. It would be so easy to… Not yet. I need to savor it. When Rose broke contact, Damien smiled back at her while presenting the bouquet. "I've missed you too… And I got her today actually. And as crazy as it sounds, I've been looking for you. Your coven to be exact." Damien said the last bit quietly as he nodded towards the direction Rose was already walking in. "We should probably keep moving. I've been in this town for a few hours and it's eerie. Even for my tastes. Plus I have a lot to unload on you." Damien had kept his smile going, but now his face was painted with concern.

"To make this quick. After Paris… I got sent back to Portland. I honestly got what I deserved for being such an idiot. And then just when things couldn't get any worse. Hunters hit my coven, hard. I made it out, but since then I've been trying to find a coven that's safe from that group you told me about years ago. That church cult that got your mom. They've been growing and they've been hitting covens left and right all over the country. I don't want to sound harsh, but I'm not here in Ember Grove for you…" Damien gave an uneasy look. The young man was troubled. "I want to help both covens here unite against the threat at hand. I know the group has always been here, but they've been more like a dormant volcano… I have a feeling they're using vamps, but I'm 100% on that. The last coven they hit hard was just outside of Atlanta and I think I think they're going to focus here on Ember Grove next."

Because their weapon has arrived… It can not only infiltrate your covens, but it seeks to massacre them. With both its tongue and wrath rivaling Lucifer himself, it will doom you. I can give you a hint, it's not vamps... The weapon is right here beside you, Rose… and you're about to aim it right at its target.

Damien was sure he knew what Rose was getting ready to do. She was smart, but there was one person she would keep in the loop when concerning something like this. Someone she always kept in contact with. Tell Violet… tell that stupid bitch about the impending danger.

Finn

Location: Alexie’s
Time: Past dusk
Interacting with: @Rodiak Kyran Wright @katthaj Viktor Rokstova

A bar that also rented out rooms? Shouldn’t they rebrand as a hotel? Not that it really mattered to Finn. Alexie’s was a weird place but at least it offered what he needed for the moment. Food and a place to sleep. The wolf smiled at Kyran as he took his order. Finn could not help to notice that the black haired bartender check him out. By the look on his face he liked what he saw. With his black hair, tanned skin color and brown eyes Kyran looked kind of mysterious. For the moment Finn wondered if this man was even born in the US. Then the young wolf spoke. “I’ll just call you Kyran. I think it suits you better. ”

As Finn waited for his food, he turned to the other male behind the bar. The long black haired dude that should be Viktor. He looked a bit younger then his co-worker but a lot more edgy. Was this Viktor guy truly the owner of this joint? And if he was, was it because of him that they somehow knew of his animalistic side? Finn gave him a friendly smile and waved “Hey, you’re Viktor right? I heard from Kyran that you’re renting out rooms. I could use one for now. I’m not sure yet how long I’m going to stay in this town”

Finn hadn’t seen much of this town yet but the idea of staying here for a long time made him feel uncomfortable. Maybe it was this bar because everything looked too normal except for his menu card. It just felt like a giant masquerade where everyone hides his true identity. The wolf could not really come op with any reason of why his brother would pick to move to this town out of all of the places you could move to in the US. It just didn’t make sense to Finn. Maybe the bar owner could shed some light on this rather mysterious town. Just as the blond haired new guy was about to ask some info about the town he realized that he hasn’t introduced himself yet. I’m Finn, Finn Cooper. You probably need that if I want to rent a room, right?” He paused a bit before he continued. I’m kind of new in town, can you tell me anything about Ember Grove? I bet this town has a lot of interesting stories that you would not find in a tourist guide.” Asked Finn with a smile. He just hoped that Viktor could give him some kind of clue on what was going on in this town.

Nathalie Prescott

Time: Early in the night
Location: Hospital
Interaction with: N/A

The night was dragging on. Another patient had arrived in the ER with an accidental injury, but her counterpart had been called up to do the job. After leaving a note for Phyllis with Damien's application, Nathalie headed to the staff lounge to read more in-depth a message she had received earlier that day from the local university. They were offering her the chance to give a speech at an upcoming seminar being held on campus. Nathalie had no idea how they'd gotten her work e-mail, but either way, she didn't mind getting in front of big crowds for a presentation.

"Hey Nathalie, can we talk?"

She looked up from her phone, knowing who had approached her before their eyes met. Jason stood not too far from her, his expression apologetic.

"Talk about what?"

"Us."

Nathalie sighed. "There is no us, Jason, not anymore." She remained calm, although she stood up from the chair, phone still in hand.

"Is it someone else?"

"What? No!"

"Then let's give it another shot, come on."

"No, Jason, I'm sorry."

"I figured since you've been here all this time, maybe you're not opposed to the idea of staying here for good. We can be a family again, and maybe we can expand it..."

"I'm sorry, but that's not happening. I'm gonna go back, you know."

"Back to what?"

Nathalie stared at him in silence, momentarily at a loss for words. "That's none of your business," she replied, her voice dripping with contempt. He started to say something but she quickly walked past him, ignoring whatever he had to say. Nathalie did not feel like putting up with him, not at the moment. She was tired, and she didn't need to be irritated as well. Closing the door behind her, she hurried down the hall in case Jason decided to follow her.

“I-I can’t go back out th-there!” Charlotte moaned, face buried in the toilet bowl. “If the girls see me like this, they...they’ll…” She hiccuped, unable to finish her sentence.

”They’ll make you go home, I know.” Genny murmured, continuing to rub soothing circles into Charlotte’s back with one hand. The other gently grasped the girl’s shoulder length hair, keeping it out of the line of fire. “But, you can’t stay locked up in this bathroom forever. And, between you and me, I think that you want to go home and lay on the couch with all your friends. I know I would.”

Charlotte glanced back at Genny, her lower lip pushed out in a trembling pout. “I just don’t want them to feel sorry for me, ya know?”

Genny chuckled at the thought, shaking her head. “They love you, and they want you to get better. That’s not ‘feeling sorry for you’.” Removing the hand she had on her back, she extended it toward Charlotte, offering to help her up.

With a soft sigh, Charlotte accepted the hand, and they approached the bathroom sink together. Charlotte’s makeup was a disaster, and her breath stunk to high heavens. Digging into her purse, Genny retrieved a mini, single-use toothbrush and a travel-size container of baby wipes.

“Wow,” Charlotte forcibly chuckled. “You really come prepared.” Taking the wipes, she began to strip her face of makeup. “Did you...uh...did you want to come back to my place? Hang out with me and the girls?” The offer was quiet, tentative.

Genny cocked her head at the invite, slightly surprised. “Thank you, but...I think I’ll stay here.”

Charlotte nodded, and the rest of their time together was spent in silence. Finally, once Charlotte gave the okay, Genny escorted her back to her friends. Waving off the group, Genny stood alone at the table they had purchased for the next hour and a half. Sighing, she plopped down into the booth, pouring herself a glass of vodka over ice and topping it off with some cranberry juice. She sipped it, considering the girls who had been her ‘friends’ for the past hour. They had all been well-off, especially Charlotte. They came from somewhere else in the county, Charlotte had just gone through a nasty breakup...and that was about all Genny knew of them.

Did she feel bad about mooching off of them? Yes. She had lied to them about her friends ditching her to go to The Pit, and they had accepted her like she was one of them. She really was trashy. It made her a horrible person, but was that really news?

Still, it didn’t prevent her from plucking up the incredibly generous tip they left on the table. She promised herself that she’d present it to the pack, or maybe pick up some drinks for Liam and Boris on her way back home. There was a Starbucks nearby, she remembered. Counting it, she was unsurprised by how much it was, slipping the wad of money into a hidden pocket in her purse to protect it. They probably felt bad about whoever had to clean up after Charlotte.

After finishing a couple more vodka cranberries, she made her way out of the VIP section and toward the bar. She didn’t necessarily need more to drink, but she did want someone to talk to. She didn’t like being left with her thoughts, and the longer she lingered at the table, the more likely she’d be to return the stolen money. Luckily for her, the bar was always busy here, so she figured it wouldn’t be too hard to spark up a conversation.

Almost immediately after settling onto a barstool, someone came to attend to her. Trance really did have good service.

“What can I get you?” The bartender asked, dark brown eyes sweeping over her. “You look like a gin and tonic type.”

“Mmm, Malibu sunset, actually.” She was in the mood for something sweet.

The bartender nodded, moving to prepare her drink. In the meantime, Genny turned on her stool, staring out into the crowd.

Leilani was the newest member of the clan, one that Cyler hadn't seen around much. He understands why, and he understood what she might be feeling, so he offered an easy smile as a greeting. "Hey there, I thought I recognized you." He shifted his camera to the side, grin still in place. "Just a few photos here and there, might need a second opinion on some of these." He offered, lifting the camera a bit. "Want to take a look at them?" He had only gotten back into photography in the past weeks, and he was still rusty. He found that seeing details to certain objects came easier to him, but his colors were still off- though the whole thing about not breathing did help when he wanted to make those streaky photos with the lights! A plus of being a vampire; steady hands and no breathing. Boy, how could it get better than this?

It had taken Cyler a while to get used to not breathing, or not having to blink, or everything really. The weirdest part had been the food. He had loved to eat, but now he couldn't even swallow a candy without feeling sick- then the whole blood thing? It had taken him almost two months to get over the fact he was drinking human blood because animal blood was not good. Not one bit. He still had to take his blood rations in a thermal or in a container where he couldn't see the red.

"We can walk around town? We still have time before the sun rises, and I really want to take some pictures of all the clubs and bars are. They got so many cool lights and stuff." Cyler didn't notice the Leilani's attempt at a joke. Instead, he offered her his camera with another grin. "You can critique my photos while we walk- they won't be good, so I'm warning you now."

Time: Night
Location: Rachel Bromberg's House
Interaction:

Few understand what makes a monster. Are they born or created? Fated to be or molded to shape? The question was as dubious as the meaning of life, for it depended on who was asking. How can you explain why two perfectly supportive parents could foster a serial killer with no remorse for another living creature? How can you explain a person that grew up in an abusive and destructive household growing up to be a renowned physicist? Lucius had pondered the question on what makes a monster for much of the first few centuries of his existence, eventually giving up on finding a concrete, encompassing answer. However as he approached Rachel's home, He found himself pondering the question once more. Rachel was a saint to some, but to Lucius she was nothing more than cowardly leech. A monster veiled with sweet lies and promises that would drive her coven to destruction.

A exchange of bright smiles were had as he rang the doorbell and Rachel was there to greet him. Though she was weary of him at first, Lucius had wormed his way into her mind and now she trusted him enough to have a friendly dinner "Did you enjoy those chocolates I sent earlier?" A wide smirk on his lips, a teasing look in his eyes as he gazed longingly into hers. She responded with a sly smile "I did in fact, turns out whoever sent them doesn't have bad taste." She said playfully, tugging on his right arm as she leaned up to place a single kiss on his cheek. A light chuckle left his lips as she looked down at her once more "Well, I'm sure he will be pleased to hear that. Now, let's make this a night to remember." The moment she turned her head to lead him into the dining room, his face released the false pleasantries. No matter how often he played this kind of role, it was always more exhausting that it should be.

Before Rachel could sit down, Lucius moved around her in order to pull out her chair. After she sat down, he pushed her forward forcing another pretentious smile. He took his own seat and took a look at the food laid out before him, both the heat and aroma hitting him in waves. Whatever his thoughts about Rachel, her cooking was certainly nothing to make light of "Ah, I'm not going to lie it's nice to be doing this. It feels like Ember Grove is crawling ever closer to war. I just hope I can keep our coven out of it." Lucius could hear the exasperation in her voice, recent events were stressing her out more than she wanted him to know. For one that has lived as long as she, he would have thought she would realize conflicts were a natural part of evolution "Whatever happens, you have my complete support. You know that, right?" He let it known in his voice he was insecure about their relationship, and as expected Rachel caught on to this "I do, and I'm grateful though I have to admit I was suspicious when you first came into town." Rachel giggled after saying this, like the notion was completely ridiculous. However, Lucius could read between the lines. She had found something out that she really shouldn't have. Regardless, it was too little too late.

Lucius laughed once and with a grin replied "I didn't make it any easier on myself, I was a bit...eccentric to say the least." It was too early to play his hand, but much to his surprise she simply continued on with a different subject. Certain of being discovered, he was caught off-guard "You got that right, but then again it made me interested. So, how is the roast?" She asked with a hopeful smile, full of life. This was something that, at the very least, he could be honest with her about. A parting gift so to speak "It is excellent." He spoke with a mouth half-full "Perhaps the best meal I've had all month." He had swallowed before continuing. The happiness that shined in her eyes was disturbing, so comfortable in her life and so afraid of the struggle all species go through. Live or Die. Stagnate or Evolve. Fight or Perish. These were the mechanisms in which all life grows stronger.

After eating his fill and enduring a tedious conversation, Lucius had derived all the useful information he could from her. He stood up from his chair at the same time Rachel did, a spark of electricity connected their gazes as they moved closer. In one smooth, fluid motion Lucius embraced Rachel in his arms as they both looked into each other's eyes with longing "What would you say to staying to the night?" The wine they had drank from the meal was affecting her, but in no severe degree. Regardless of whether she was intoxicated or sober, he had no plans to stay the night. Rather, he would make sure that she would never leave this house alive. He inched his head closer til his lips were almost pressed against her ear and in one, quiet whisper spoke "Anima moritur cum furtum tempus" As the last word was spoken, he could feel her nails dig into his shirt and into his skin. A mere two seconds later and they stopped, leaving Lucius with a lifeless body in his arms.

It had been one of his most accomplished poisons, a staple he had relied on for centuries. The ingredients were quite difficult to collect but the result was well worth the effort. This magical poison is absorbed into the blood-stream for 12 hours waiting to be activated. Its potency was unrivaled and for humans, death occurred in seconds. All it required is one, simple phrase to be heard. However, this was only the first step of what he planned to do here tonight. He laid her gently to the floor and slipped on a pair of latex gloves before retrieving a pair of vampire teeth molded from one of his many victims. Lucius positioned the teeth around a bit in order to get the right angle, before pressing down on the ends of the teeth puncturing her neck. Blood spilled on the floor as he carefully avoided getting any on himself.

Without Rachel, Lucius would be able to seize power of the coven and lead them in a different direction. One by one he would make each one of them ruthless user of the dark magics, an army to seed the land with chaos starting with Ember Grove. The native Vampires would make a good first start, thus his intentions here. Deception. Mistrust. Revenge. His plans were beginning to fall in line with his goal, to make Ember Grove the first warzone of many between humanity and the forces of the supernatural. With a clean cloth from inside his coat pocket, he wiped the device clean. Lucius spent the next 10 minutes cleaning the area of any traces that would lead back to him. He was happy that this little date of theirs was kept a secret.

Lucius put his coat back on and took one last look at his work, the room showed signs of a struggle with the knocked over wine and furniture thrown about "Goodnight Rachel, It was certainly an enchanting evening." He exited through the front door and peeled off the gloves, placing them in one hand before speaking "Adhibete flammis" The gloves vanished amidst the heat of the flames and he began his leisurely walk back to his home. Unlike some of the other residents of Ember Grove, her preferred to be asleep at night. His thoughts drifted towards warm pastries and a hot cup of tea before bed. Now that was to die for.

Location: Trance Club

The front doors to the club flung open as Volfango entered the room in stride and without missing a beat announced his arrival.

"Do not fret any longer for wondrous Volfango has arrived!" His smooth voice carried out through club even amidst the drowning sound of the music, as he flung his hands out wide and looked upwards to the ceiling.

He did not keep the pose long and immediately began walking forward, drawing all kinds of eyes from the various groups that populated Trance. The muscular nature of his body was shamelessly revealed in a slightly see-through, black shirt with a large v-neck. The black chino pants seemed perfectly tailored to his body, tight yet not too revealing. Volfango could feel the eyes of both women and men stare him down, some were intimidated, some wanted a piece, but all of them were interested in every move he made. Volfango would not fault them for understanding the true magnificence and allure that was his visage.

This is exactly where he belonged. All that business regarding the supernatural could be forgotten in the sea of music and people. For one night or a few, someone here would have the privilege of an sensual experience out of this world. His eyes darted across the room and he was instantly drawn to one individual immediately. His eyes locked with hers as he made his way to the bar, a half-smile on his lips as he reached the stool to her left. Volfango's gaze shifted briefly to the bartender "Volfango requests two Bronx and the drink of choice for the bellissima dea." His words were spoken swiftly and without flaw for he knew well what he wanted. He leaned on the bar using his left arm, and turned to Genesis "A curse fall upon Volfango to allow a beautiful flower such as yourself be starved of his fabulous company." He said as he made the sign of the cross followed up with a charming grin.

Volfango however could not shake the feeling he had seen this marvel before, though he would have surely remember seeing one such as she! However, this week has brought forth so many changes that Volfango was having trouble making sense of it all and the reality of his situation had still yet to hit. It wasn't until recently that werewolves, vampires, and witches were nothing but fiction. For tonight, Volfango planned to forget all of it and submerge himself in the pleasures of flesh for Volfango was as generous as he was handsome.

As the first of his drinks came, he took a quick sip of the martini before placing it down "Do no be afraid to bask in the majesty that is Volfango!" Volfango placed both hands on his hips, the action simultaneously flexing his pectorals and biceps.

Marceau took a moment to look around the street to make sure things were clear in the area. The red-headed girl had left and there was a strange, well-dressed older gentleman in front of the club. "Well nice to meet you, Helene. I know a lot about your mother. I think we should leave the area as soon as possible with hunters around and us being seen. They could have contacted more if they found anything suspicious. I wish not to get involved in petty squabbles before I learn anything about this place." Marceau then took her hand to go out of sight from the streets so they could not be seen anymore. "Now, I have important things to do so getting you home safe right now is necessary. Would you mind letting me know where your mother is located? I will not tell her about this situation or where you were, there is no need to cause distress right now."

Time: Dusk to After Dusk
Location: Ember Grove Park to Sean's Garage.
Interaction with: @DreamingFlowers Mia, then @AliveFalling Marceau & @Derg Cain, THEN @princess Angel

Sean had been a bit peeved that Mia had not only failed to make the potion known as Iblis Blood, but she hadn't even looked for the instructions for creating it. He didn't make a habit of threatening young women, but her reluctance to aid him would only risk the lives of many others. He played to her feelings, bringing up the welfare and the safety of those that her inaction would jeopardize in a place so rampant with creatures that took pleasure in hurting the people she was trying to help. If she truly wanted to help others, then not helping him with the potion was just hypocrisy.

He left her to think about things and reminded her he needed a new batch of Iblis Blood no later than seven days from now. He broke away from her run route and allowed her to continue on with a simple "Seeya soon."

After leaving the young woman, he managed to extend his exercise from a run in the park to a light jog through the city. He figured he could use the extra bit of a warm up before tonight ramped up… Unfortunately, for not only Sean but a victim he witnessed fall to the ground in an alley, across the street while his dark clothed assailant slowly stepped to the limp body. Vampire or a sick bastard, you deserve bullet! Sean reached under his shirt to his concealed firearm and aimed to fire at the figure. The events following played out poorly.

Minutes later, Sean found himself with not only one, but two vampires that had escaped his clutches. The first was the assailant who was too fast to continue pursuit on foot. Besides, a vampire of that speed would probably need a little more firepower to be put down. The second was the victim. Sean was sure the guy had his heart ripped completely out of his chest. He assumed it wasn't a turning, but feeding. Sean found nearly killing a human an odd way to turn them, but nevertheless, there were two vampires he would need to deal with. He was sure that if he played aggressively, he could catch the newly turned, then he could use the babe to hunt the true threat. Sean managed to collect the heart that was left in the alley. He had to remove his shirt and wrap the thing in it while hauling ass to the south end of the west residential district, but the dark helped him get there without any trouble.

He stopped at an aged garage and entered through a heavy steel door. The second the door shut behind him a loud high pitched alarm sounded.

"Today would be the day! Red!" The beeping stopped at his response as an overhead light flickered on. Within the garage was a black Dodge Ram Rebel. The clean new truck failed to match the rest of the garage filled with dusty tough boxes and old furniture you might find out on a sidewalk for trash pick up. He moved to a cabinet where he pulled out a plastic wrap. In a few seconds, the bleeding heart that soaked his shirt in blood was wrapped and tossed in a deep freezer.

Sean was moving to one of the tough boxes next when he received a buzz from his phone. "Angel… Trouble I bet." Sean shook his head before sighing. If she didn't go for the three, then the one she's following is part of some foolish stunt she's trying to pull. Nevertheless, Sean had something to go after while he waited for the newborn to come out and play later in the night. He replied.

On it. Lmk if u need an extra gun

I have several

After a few minutes, Sean was dressed, geared up and ready to hit the streets. First stop, the Pit.

"Honestly, like I don't even know why we bother to hunt. Like, that lady has a whole human farm... Yeah! Straight out of a movie." Lilith held her phone between her ear and her shoulder as she walked. Her hands were busy fishing out her fake ID in her bag. Of course, her favorite place to dance had to ask for IDs. Didn't the owner know that most of the clientele were a bunch of horny vampires and ugly ass hunters? Witches and Werewolves attended more, but The Pit always seemed to attract more vampires. Maybe it was the whole vibe that was ripped right out of an Underworld film.

The voice on the other side brought Lilith back to reality as June, a girl from the clan, commented on the need for more humans. Lilith just rolled her eyes at the comment as she pulled out her pink wallet and flipped it open. "Yeah yeah, I get that it's nice, but it's soooooo cliche. I've seen some of you guys dress in nothing but black. Add some fucking color in there, won't you? Makes me feel like I'm living with a bunch of depressive goths- and not the cool ones." She was about to put away her wallet when she suddenly bumped into a humanoid figure. Lilith's wallet and purse went flying into the air as she gasped loudly. She stood there staring at the gray hair, full gray beard, and golden eyes.

"I'll call you back." Lilith said into her phone before pressing the red button and pocketing it. "Yo, old dude, don't stand in the middle of the sidewalk." She rolled her eyes and leaned down to pick up her stuff, glaring intensely at the cane. What an asshole. Sure, Lilith may not have seen him, but who stands in the middle of the sidewalk outside the entrance to a club? Assholes, that's who.

"The city hall is that way," She pointed over her shoulder with her thumb. "It's bingo night, so you'll probably still catch that." Lilith said as she shoved her wallet back in the bag, eyes still narrowed as she examined the man. Really? A fedora? Well, he was old, and some old dudes did look pretty fancy with them on. If he had been any younger, she would have probably walked past him, so she forgave that little fashion choice.

Rose looked at the flowers in a bit of surprise as she slowly took them from him. ”Thanks.” She said as she looked at the white flowers, finding it quite curious as to why he chose petunias. They were pretty flowers, but definitely weren’t some of her favorites. Perhaps it was all they had wherever he got them? She found that a bit hard to believe and a small, paranoid part of her wondered if he chose them because they symbolized something. Perhaps she’d look into it later, for now she just gave him a small grin.

Concern filled her as he mentioned that he was actually looking for her coven. She pushed it aside, however, as he suggested they keep moving. She simply nodded in agreement as she began walking once more. He wasn’t wrong, night time could be quite dangerous for those who didn’t know all of what liked to creep around in the night. She listened as Damien spoke, confusion settling into the features of her face. So many questions rattled around in her head at the unloading of all this information. It definitely frightened her to think that the Holy Saviors were possibly going to hit Ember Grove hard and her first instinct was to let Violet know, but she stopped herself. Perhaps this was something she should go to the coven about instead just in case Violet tried to do something crazy. That was something she’d have to think on a bit more before deciding what to do.

”Woah hold on. Rewind just a little bit. What happened in Paris that got you sent back to Portland? And what do you mean you got what you deserved?” She asked him, deciding to start there even though she felt like she had a million other questions. She wanted to know what happened after she’d left Paris as she’d just assumed that they had no sacrifice for that night and Damien would just find someone else to bring him one at a later date. Obviously something else happened, though.

”Also, how have you found out all this info about the Holy Saviors?” This was another burning question as it didn’t seem like that was easy information to find out. She hadn’t even heard anything about this from Violet and she was good at discovering these kinds of things.

Leilani smiled at the thought of exploring town with someone beside her. She hadn’t been bold enough to do so alone, and hadn’t had the heart to force someone in her clan to escort her around Ember Grove. It just didn’t seem fair. She felt like the new girl at school when it came to her clan, something she thought she had lucked out of. It wasn’t as if they were rude to her, or treated her like some sort of freak. Most of them were in a similar position, after all.

Instead, it was as if she was on a test trial. One that lasted more than a month, apparently. They didn’t necessarily trust her, and she couldn’t really blame them. She had made the effort to learn their names, but leaving her home was rare unless she was asking for rations. She wondered if they thought she was mooching off of them. She planned on getting a job, sooner rather than later. She just needed to get a feel for this place.

Her mind continued to wander, coming to conclusions that were increasingly worse. Maybe they were keeping a secret from her, some sort of rule that couldn’t be said but also couldn’t be broken. Maybe they’d kill her if she overstepped.

Or maybe she was just being ridiculous, and she needed to quell her anxiety over the situation. That was probably a lot more rational.

“I’d love to.” She said at last, tugging herself out of her mind and forcing herself to focus on the moment. Trying to recall what he said, she finally offered him a nod. “I’m sure the pictures are great. I’m pretty sure everyone has a love-hate relationship with their own art.” She closed the distance between them, happily accepting his camera. As she began to walk toward the outer gates of the park, she looked over his work. She had always loved photography, but it was something she had never been able to get a good feel for. The cameras were always a bit too complex for her tastes, and she was never still enough to get good photos.

Cyler, on the other hand, was everything she wasn’t when it came to his medium. It showed in his pictures. Her grin broadened as she moved between pictures, though she was slightly jealous of his ability to capture life’s beauty so vividly. If she hadn’t been so blocked at the moment, she would’ve taken inspiration from the images.

Finally, after a period of fascination, she handed the camera back. By this point, they had made it beyond the gate and onto the sidewalks of Ember Grove. “These are really good, Cyler.” She was sure he knew that, though. “Do you sell them? I bet you could make good money in a tourist location like this.”

Maybe that would be her job, when she got inspired again.

Approaching a crosswalk, she glanced about. “So, which club are you thinking? I’ve heard a lot about The Pit.”

Time: Night
Location: Trance
Interactions: Volfango van Wolfgang - @Ithradine
Vibes: "Ain't my fault I'm guarded..."

So many people lingered in Trance. Men and women of all different shapes and sizes and species. Some were gorgeous, others plain-faced. All of them dressed quite nicely. A good number clung to the bar or the lounge chairs and loveseats, while others danced fluidly to the beat of whatever song was playing. They were decidedly fun to watch, moving about in their little cliques. Genesis was tempted to join a few of them, and would’ve done so had he not arrived.

The shift in the club’s atmosphere was almost immediate. His introduction struck the ears of all around, and the hearts of many. She watched as heads swiveled to face him, a brow raised in confusion as a wave of excitement passed over the throng. It wasn’t until she turned to gaze upon the figure that she understood.

Volfango.

He had joined the pack very recently, and in that short amount of time he had captured the hearts of male and female werewolves alike. They were like putty in his hands, falling over themselves to please him. It was interesting to watch, albeit annoying.

She watched his gaze sweep the room, wondering who he’d choose to sink his teeth into that night. As he caught sight of her, she cocked her head, wondering if he recognized her as a packmate. She nearly raised a hand in greeting, but decided against it as he started to prowl toward her. The small smile on his face told her what she needed to know.

She was the night’s target.

The thought made her shudder, though she wasn’t sure what the chills meant. She felt conflicted. On the one hand, she was enjoying herself in the club, drinking away everything that troubled her. On the other hand, leaving before something drastic happened was probably the better choice. Groaning inwardly, she turned on her stool to face him as he took up the seat to her left.

There was a moment where she watched him with the slightest amount of melancholy in her gaze, before her face morphed into a warm grin. After he gave the go ahead, she ordered herself a cheap shot of vodka, watching the bartender leave to prepare their drinks before shifting her attention fully to Volfango. She listened willingly to his spiel, mirth swiftly filling her features. He was so confident, and perhaps a bit narcissistic.

“Good evening to you too, Your Highness!” She chuckled, reaching out and playfully tapping his shoulder with her knuckles. God, he was muscular. It was like brushing against steel. Focus!

“How’ve you been?” She asked, genuinely curious. She wanted to know how his transition into pack life was going. She had only gone two years in her whole life without the security of a pack, and those two years had been miserable. She wanted to know if it was any different for a newly transitioned human.

Lifting her shot, which had been sitting on the counter, she downed it in a smooth motion. It stung her throat on the way down, but was otherwise pleasant. “Thanks for the drink, by the way.”

Lupin Chevrolet

Time: Past Dusk

Lupin narrowed his gaze. It seemed everyone was too busy to notice the old man sticking out like a sore thumb. Some wanted to keep in the middle in the fray. The vampire couple of an old man and a young woman went about with their business. No doubt that would seem a bit disgusting. How much of a craddlerobber that man was? But oh well, that other gentleman was none of his business.

So busy he was in his train of thought he did not notice the woman colliding into him until it was well too late. Well, that ... funny yelp she made tipped him off. His eyes met with hers, as he offered a hand for her to rise, but relented when she seemed to prefer doing things her own way. "Oh,Je suis désolé, mademoiselle." He quickly apologized as he brought his fedora down to his has performing a little bow to emphasize his apology. A vampire huh. And one that has recently fed. She reeks of blood and has flush cheeks. He thought inwardly. Maybe she was one of those youths who wanted to live a wild life or something. He refused to judge, though. Vampires' age was so hard to pin down sometimes. "I was caught in the middle of something. There's quite a few distractions these days in the street, and particularly dangerous ones. People are going crazy and doing crazy things." He coughed, and adjusted his clothes. "Once again, I am sorry."

He couldn't resist to smile a complicity grin at her cheekiness. It was somewhat refreshing. A small chuckle came from his mouth. "Bingo. I guess I do look the part. Fashion is so complicated these days. Maybe I should've brought a neon cane and a lot of golden chains. It would have helped." He paused. "I actually was looking for some other place, but it's not polite to talk in front of mademoisselle such as you. I thought I had the place, but all I see is cheap alcohol and infernal noises. Is this the concept of fun these days?" He pondered.

"Oh, before I forget. Mint?" He added, reaching for his mint box in his pocket, and offering.

Nikolaus

Time: Dusk
Location: The Pit
Interaction: @princess - Angel

Nikolaus stood overlooking the scene with arms crossed. His hair danced in the wind gently while his swords glistened under the moonlight. Drips of what appeared to be blood were sliding off of them and otno the ground. How he enjoyed the night time; it was his favorite part of the day. He loved staying up late and watching the stars with his sisters, Mishka and Anastasia. His heart ached as he thought of them and felt adrenaline pulse through his veins. He clenched his fists while he listened to them addressing Angel like she was livestock. He understood vampires needing blood, but why the hell did they have to be so cruel? Humans were just as valuable. No matter; they would be gone shortly anyway. Angel and he had to be careful not to let people know of their experiments or else the advantage they had over Viet-Et-Mort would be lost. The mere thought of them caused the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up. His fists were clenched hard enough to turn white.

Niko let out a deep sigh as he readied himself and adjusted his faux leather gloves. He tightened the bandanna over his face to help conceal his identity. He didn't want word getting out who he was or else there would be more trouble and right now, he couldn't afford it. Niko flicked the lighter and moved to the edge of the roof. Niko felt torn over his experimental abilities; the super strength, enhanced senses and durability were both helpful but God, were the side effects awful. Niko stared down at Angel and felt his heart race slightly. If he had been late, she could have been captured or killed. The spastic loner was going to need a talking to when he was finished. The stress level she was causing him was going to require monitoring soon. No matter - he was going to solve it. Niko took a deep breathe and then took a running jump off the roof and landed beside Angel. The vampires jumped with shock which caused him to laugh coldly.

"Jumpy, aren't we?" He taunted with a loud laugh as they began to study him. "Take it in, bloodsuckers. Enjoy the view while you can." He paused and stared at the two discussing Angel's humanity. This made him grin as he pulled down the scarf to reveal it. His sharp teeth were showing, another semi-helpful addition of the experimentation. God, he felt superhuman sometimes and he didn't know whether to love or hate it.

"You're right, she isn't human; in fact, she's a demon sent from hell. Spooky isn't it?" He mimicked her use of 'spooky' earlier which he had been able to hear on his way in. Niko took his bloody swords out and grinned menacingly at the vampires. "Whose next?" He gestured to his sword and unexpectedly stabbed the nearest vampire. He then pulled his bloody sword out and whirled around to impale the next one. This time, he left the sword in so he could grab the previous vampire he'd stabbed and grabbed them by the throat. He slammed him into the concrete brick wall behind him and glared with hostility at him. The vampire was struggling and gasping with his eyes wild with fear and panic. Niko kept an eye on the other vampires, though he wanted to leave them for Angel. They seemed perplexed and afraid to approach him now. They were uncertain for sure.

"Humans aren't food you little shit and women aren't here for your sick pleasures." He glared daggers at them both. He glanced at Angel briefly, then away and back to the vampires. He straightened up and assessed them both as he listened to them speak. T

"What are you two?" The vampire struggled to free himself from Niko's strong grasp with wide eyes. Nikolaus didn't have any tolerance for these vermin, though he didn't exactly enjoying terrorizing them either. He didn't want to admit where his frustration was truly originating from. He didn't need the distractions or the memories right now.

"We're your worst nightmare." Niko then slammed him into the wall with all his strength and cracked his skull. The blood began oozing out. Niko turned and thrust him at the other two vampires with sudden force. They yelled out with shock and moved away with wide eyes. "They're yours." He told her simply and locked eyes with her briefly. With a deep sigh, he moved to Angel's side protectively and retrieved his bloody sword from the vampire. With a grin, he pulled his scarf back up to conceal his face while he awaited their next move as the remaining two now began to circle them with hatred and hostility.

Angel had been so focused, ready to attack as soon as one made the first move, that Niko had scared the crap out of her. She flinched and almost turned on him as he jumped beside her. He was supposed to go check out the other three, why was he here? "I had it under control."She said through gritted teeth quietly. She wouldn't admit it, but she was kind of glad she had some help at the moment. It would have been a tough fight alone and Nikolaus was a freak of nature. The guy immediately proceeded to laugh and taunt the bloodsuckers. She had been nudging him to stop being so serious all the time and she couldn't help but smirk a little. So he wasn't such a stick in the mud after all.

He referred to her as a demon out of hell, which she appreciated the compliment. Though, it was ironic that he was the one baring his fancy new teeth. "Yeah. The devil himself took one look at me and peed his pants. Just like your buddy did in the alleyway a few minutes ago. The devil had me sent back here along with shark-boy."She added snarkily. Nikolaus was not the type to have seen a movie as immature as Sharkboy and Lavagirl, but she wanted to drop the reference anyway. The vampires were caught off guard enough that he was able to stab and kill one without barely breaking a sweat. After the success with Angel, they, of course, tried to pile on even more abilities on the next person. While Angel had inhumane speed and agility, Nikolaus had immense strength and superhuman senses. Vampires never expected one of them to have the kind of strength he had and he could basically rip them apart. He was one of the best hunters they had and was stupidly perfect. She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Fucking show-off."

"What are you two? Angel loved it when they asked this dumb question. It was amazing that at this point, they still couldn't figure out how the hell they pulled it off. She adjusted her grip on her swords and fixated on a vampire. Time and time again, the bloodsuckers proved themselves to be nothing but disgusting, cruel creatures. They were pure evil and she did not even feel an ounce of guilt ridding them from the Earth.

"We're your worst nightmare."

Oh God. You dork. She gave a sideways glance at Nikolaus as he delivered the cliche of a line. It would be better to make fun of him later. Though she was pissed he was stealing her glory here, she'd let him have his moment and let him think he was cool for the moment. He must have thought he was so clever delivering it. She watched as he proceeded to crack a vampire's head against the wall. "Yeesh."She commented as he locked eyes with her. He finally declared that the others were hers. "Uh! They were all mine. I had it under control as I said! "

Angel immediately launched herself forward at one vampire and speedily swerved over to strike the one next to him, that had been clearly planning to attack her while she struck his buddy, taking him by surprise as she drove two blades through his body faster than he could properly react, using the strength he had propelled himself at her against him. The blades went deep into his shoulderblade and into his stomach. She drove them downward, making him scream out in pain as she pulled them out and propelled herself into a cart-wheel to try to get distance before the other vampire attacked, but alas he was ready and newly enraged by the death of his friends. The other one bit into her neck and she yelped out in pain. Angel stabbed her swords backward into him as he gripped her with strength. She used his strength to root her body down as she stabbed straight through his torso in an X-formation as if she was sheathing them. He bit deeper viciously in his pain but let loose of his grip. Her knees unbuckled and she slid to her knees on the concrete. Her hand immediately went over her neck wound, wincing as she felt her blood start to leak through the cracks between her fingers.

Angel glanced up at him and winked, "Yeah. I'm pretty impressive. Don't leave your mouth hanging open too much." She knew he was well used to her and probably did not care, but she figured someone had to up her ego. She climbed to her feet, keeping her hand over her wound casually and trying not to bring attention to it. "You're welcome for letting you have some fun. I could have killed them all before you got here but I was generous." Angel was put on a joking tone as she spoke. He knew she was thankful and wasn't one to admit it out loud. "Hopefully, Sean or Oliver checked out the other mess." She took her phone out and began glancing at the group chat. "Sean said he's on it. We should go check on him."

She had a feeling Nikolaus was going to chastise her any moment now. Being one of the youngest hunters, Angel was used to people speaking condescendingly to her. She hoped he wouldn't ask; she knew if she told him she was interested in locating Viet-Et-Mort since no one would tell her where it was, he'd think she was crazy. Hunters rarely got out of there alive and there were thousands of them, but still, Angel wanted to know. She wanted to prepare to kill Desiree. It was the least she could do for her family and all the humans who had been hurt and deserved justice.

"Paris." Damien sighed. Yes, the place where you left me high and dry and set me up. The beginning of the end of my witchhood. Damien found it hard to continue both the charade and speaking to Rose, but the fluttering of Lucy's wings above helped focus him. "One of the worst days of my life. But also one of the best days. I went to do that whole crazy ceremony and almost no one showed. In fact, some pretty high ranking coven members came through instead. They kicked me out of Europe and back to Portland I went…" Damien paused as he took a deep breath. This was clearly hard for him to share. He gritted his teeth and closed his hands tightly. "My coven took away my ability to perform magic. It was…" He seemed to hold his emotions at bay with another deep breath.

"It was rough, but it taught me a few lessons that I carry with me wherever I go. And it kept me from being an idiot kid using dark magic… Sorry." He said the last part solemnly. If Damien was truthful in anything, it was that he deeply regretted everything in Paris. He regretted including Rose and the others in the use of dark magic. He regretted trusting them to support him. And tonight he was sure he would regret not giving in to the violent thoughts he had only moments ago.

"And he Holy Saviors… You mean you haven't heard anything about this?" Damien stopped in his tracks and looked at Rose in confusion. "Has your coven not been keeping contact with anyone?" Damien played shocked, but he knew the nature of many covens. They liked to solve their own problems and keep their own secrets. That's what made them easy to hit. "I only really know about them because I've been trying to keep tabs on them in order to get away from where they're the most active. They're fast though… I was in Atlanta when they hit the coven there. I should have probably stayed and helped them, but I can't do anything as I am and I… the best I can do is try to help you guys before they swell up here… Has anything happened with them in town recently?"

"You gotta be kidding me… Angel, you are really something y'know." Sean said as he parked his truck across the street from the pit. He looked through his tinted windows and chuckled at the sight. Sure, it was amusing, but not in a good way. Angel only made Sean all the more suspicious about her activities. Is this some kind of diversion? All I see is a geezer talking to a girl that could be her dad… or worse. Not a common sight, but a gold digger with her sugar daddy?

Sean let out a disgruntled sigh before he opened the automatic windows down some to get a better look at the two conversing outside of the club. "The young inherit the future and this young lady will inherit all of this geezer's cash… Time for a hearing test." Sean said softly as he cut the truck's engine and grabbed his pistol. He dropped the full magazine into his free hand. He locked the slide to the rear, loaded the magazine, and finally hit the slide release lever to allow the slide to move forward with a loud click. Sean followed up by pulling the hammer back. The sequence of clicks could never be heard by the average human, but a vampire or a keen werewolf had the capability.

This trick was one Sean picked up from his childhood friend Keith. "Use their senses against them. Taunt them with something a human can't see or hear and just wait to see if a vamp bites. Like using selective bait." Let's see if they bite Angel.

Rose listened as Damien spoke of what happened in Paris, noticing how hard it was for him to talk about it. She couldn’t blame him either after finding out what had happened. ”You mean those assholes fucking turned you in?!” She said in outrage as her fist clenched tightly at her side. She felt anger bubbling up in her at the thought of it along with guilt. Perhaps if she wouldn’t have been a coward and fled she could have stopped them from turning him in. Or maybe she’d have been caught as well and punished. Either way the mix of emotions had her visibly upset and she had a strong urge to hit something. ”They better have gotten in trouble too since they certainly weren’t innocent in it all. They better have fucking lost their magic since they are just as guilty.” She said through gritted teeth before she realized her palm was starting to hurt. She unclenched her fist and looked down to see blood in her palm from her nails digging into it and this calmed her a bit.

”Shit…” She sighed as she stopped and wiped the blood on her shorts. She took a deep breath to calm herself further as she decided to move away from the Paris topic and focus a bit on what he was saying about the Holy Saviors. ”Well if my coven knows anything about the Holy Savior's they sure aren’t saying anything to me, which isn’t surprising. I think they fear that either Violet or I would try to do something about it if we knew since there’s a connection there with our mother.” She shrugged as she looked up at him. ”Either way it may not hurt to ask them about it and see. If they don’t know then they definitely need to be warned. Thank you for coming to warn and help us.” She was genuinely grateful for it, not wanting to see the Holy Saviors succeed.

”Well this is my street, I should probably get going as my sister and cousin are waiting on me. It’s really nice to see you again Damien." She stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek before giving him a soft smile and turning to walk away. After a few steps she paused and looked back at him as a thought crossed her mind. "Umm...maybe I can help find a way to get your magic back to you...if you wanted that is." As she spoke the offer she silently cast an empathy spell. She wasn't sure shy she did it, perhaps it was still the paranoia that he was upset with her for leaving or maybe she just was curious. Either way she'd done it, learning how to cast that spell silently not too long ago and wanted to test her ability a bit. The results of her spell weren't entirely what she'd expected. She felt his anger and something else...resentment? So he was upset with her? The thought and feelings made her a bit sick, but she did her best to keep from revealing anything to him. She was confused as he seemed to be treating her so nicely, yet his inner feelings were different. The smallest hint of fear came over her and her instincts were telling her she needed to get home, but she kept up her friendly facade.

Damien was very glad to see Rose taking in his deception. To Damien, it was like a slow acting poison that would eventually kill her in a violent manner, or so he hoped. Luckily for him, this wasn't his first time spinning up the tale of the fearsome Holy Saviors. He had the chance to deceive several other witches he had known. Used them in the same way until ended their lives.

The two stopped in front of a house and he couldn't help but smile as he looked upon the place. It was a beautiful sight, a beautiful sight of opportunity. When Rose confirmed the home as her own, he immediately thought of Violet. I wonder if she warned her… Rose's suddenly planted her lips on his cheek, halting his scheming thoughts.

"Huh?" Damien let out before smiling shyly. "It was nice seeing you too." He meant that. It was the beginning of the end for Rose and all that she held dear. He watched her walk away and toward her home, admiring her form as she moved. I will savor this Rose. You will enjoy you the most. I owe that much to you. Damien thought before she turned to face him and mentioned finding a way to get his magic back. This simple offer from Rose nearly had her killed tonight.

Now you want to help me? NOW?! I trusted you and you expect me to accept help after betraying me?! Fuck you! Fuck you Rose! I will always hate you! I will drag your dead body throughthe fucking streets! Before his breathing could start picking up, Damien shook his head silently as he dropped his eyes. He needed to calm himself.

"No… I don't deserve them. Not after what happened. I hate myself for how I treated you and everyone else. I was a fucking monster and honestly… I think I'm better without them. Limited for a witch, but I can manage with what I have." He looked up at Lucy with a forced smile and she stared back. His eyes finally met Rose's again. "Lucy can attest to that, right Lucy?" Lucy croaked in response before flying over Rose and dropping a scrap of paper with Damien's name and phone number scrawled on it. "Have a good night Rose. Hit me up when, so we can talk about things. It's getting late… oh, and keep that paper. I had someone enchant it before I left Atlanta. Makes the holder feel… good." Damien's smile grew as he shrugged. "It'll last longer than the flowers." Damien finally turned from Rose and walked off into the night. He felt better now, and the night was still young for him. He'd roam the streets a bit before heading to the church to speak with Xavier, the leader of the Holy Saviors in Ember Grove.
