Belladonna

Time: Noon
Location: Roshimi City
Interaction: @Tae - Torvi, @helo - Bowyn - @Dezuel - Elthrael

Belladonna sat happily at the Inn with her two new friends. They were a breath of fresh air. How she enjoyed their time bonding over thievery. It was a relief to find people with like mind and not feeling forced to put on a mask. Belle had finally been herself for the first time that week. Her dress was beautiful as well and she had found an equally great mask. She had started to enjoy one more round of mead as well and indulge in more peaches. Her mind began to reel as she went to answer Torvi; it was then that she noticed the same mysterious cloaked figure from earlier.

She glanced at Elleta who was narrowing her eyes at him. As he dropped the apple in a masked attempt of tomfoolery, Belle struggled not to crack up. She had seen Tom and Jerry make better efforts to sneak up on one another. The cartoons had always made her laugh in her darkest times on Earth. She caught Elle’s expression and struggled to withhold her laughter. It reminded her briefly of her past when she would be with the gang and mocking people.

”Is there something you need, Mysterious Cloaked Figure who has been here all day for hours? Did you form a grand master plan of dropping your apple nearby us in the hopes we didn't notice? Such a misfortune indeed that we saw. Apples aren’t even on the menu here.”

Belle choked on her water and quickly began recovering from her cough. She glanced at Bowyn and Torvi, her blue eyes shining with amusement. She dabbed at the water on her face with a napkin and chuckled. ”Cat got your tongue there, stranger? Is there something you’d like to share with the class?”

Elleta grinned at Belle’s commentary and smirked at Elthrael. ”Are you possibly a demon allergic to the fancy lighting of the establishment we are occupying?” Belladonna started laughing and buried her head in her hands to try muffling it. She wiped her eyes and eyed the stranger.

”Did you take the time today to sharpen your teeth? What did you use if so?” Elleta stared at her with surprise briefly then managed a grin and looked back to Elthrael and the others. Both women were calm on the exterior, though inside their guards were up and ready to defend if necessary. Rosemary was nearby, invisible still, watching as well. Belle managed to compose herself enough to continuing eating and drinking.

Instead of traveling around the castle to reach Edena, Kol found it quicker to walk through the front of Morteum traverse through the castle to reach Edena. As he carried Darius over his shoulder, he contemplated on the next training session.

He will be tougher and won't allow himself to end up in this sorry state again. I am sure he will give in to Malgormuun. The cooperation will become dependence. Then the dependence will lead to the human's assimilation. For now, I will report his progress to Aklenroth.

After several minutes, Kol delivered Darius to his room and laid him on the bed. Kol remained mindful of Darius' comfort despite being the reason he was in this predicament in the first place. Kol removed Darius' tattered leather armor and boots before covering him with the bed covers. With that done, Kol took his leave in order to meet with Aklenroth and leave Darius to his own personal demon…

"Finally." A deep but strained voice echoed. Darius opened his eyes, finding himself standing on the beach facing the sea. He could see people enjoying the sun, the sand, and the water. The only odd thing was, he couldn't hear them. It was as if someone hit the mute button on… just the people. The waves and the light breeze were clear and crisp to his ears. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep, Darius figured this was all just some dream or that Kol had murdered him and this was just some weird afterlife. That is until the voice he had initially heard spoke from beside him. "This is the world you want to get everyone back to? That's quite a goal." A black humanoid figure stood to Darius' right, or rather it floated. Darius flinched, taking a single step back. The figure's head turned to him, and that's when he realized the figure sort of looked like himself, except it was like shadow come to life. "You're calmer than I thought you'd be. Then again, you've seen a lot today… That thing you did to protect yourself from the dark elf… That was me and this right here is my introduction so to speak."

"And now you're going to protect me from danger here on out, right? If you agree, I agree. Good talk. Now put me in a better dream than this. You could've conjure up a party in Ibiza or a women's volleyball match at least." Darius really didn't want to talk to this thing, let alone acknowledge it. He didn't ask for it, but then again, it came in clutch when he needed it.

"It's not that simple. I will not assist you if you do not aid Aklenroth in the eradication of the rebellion."

"Uh no, that's not what I agreed to. All I need to do is get the humans out of here so you guys can kill each other. I don't care about this war."

"But I do! And you should care as well. What do you think the rebels will do if you even manage to gather up your kind and send them back? How about I show you!" The figure looked to the muted people enjoying the beach, then a tear opened up between two people, a mother and a child, before pulling them into it. Then another opened sucking in a third person. The tears continued to open throughout the beach with Darius watching with a scowl. "The DROMs and those who seek to use them will not let you take their prized weapons from them! And every day you fail to separate your kind from these desperate rebels, the less likely they are to leave. I don't know what kind of life they led on your world, but the power to bend the elements at your fingertips is enticing. Mix that with their belief of saving this world from Aklenroth! You want to bring people to their world… but I know you're not naive enough to assume that this represents everyone's world" He spoke harshly, but his words bore truth. Darius just listened as he looked at the now empty beach. The silence now matched the scenery before him. Darius thought about people who may have lived miserable or lackluster lives before coming to Avalia, knowing that those kinds of people would want a fresh start.

"Then how do I…" Darius more so said this to himself rather than the entity. He was wondering if this is what Kol had meant about his goal being a difficult path.

"You've seen the horrors those of your world and those of mine have experienced due to the presence of humans when you smashed that red gem. You need to save the humans that need saving and prevent anymore from being pulled in by the DROMs. Those that choose to stay… I'll leave that up to you, but they will continue to fight if there is a rebellion to fight for. So now I ask of you… Aid me in the eradication of the rebellion, and I will assist you in accomplishing your goal, Darius."

"And the catch? There's always a catch with this stuff."

"Of course. Being transparent helps us both. I require mana from you in order to be of assistance. The same mana you use to perform your elemental magic."

"Water… I can still use it though, right?"

"Of course. Your pool of mana is small now, but it will become vast with time… Versatility will be your weapon. I, Malgormuun will be your weapon." Malgormuun

"Hmm." Darius still wasn't completely sold, but it wasn't his elemental magic that helped him today.

"You should also expect some subtle changes in your appearance. Think of it as proof of our covenant."

"Subtle changes to my appearance???" Darius looked upon the shadowed figure nervously before sighing. Uncertainty nearly overpowered him before his eyes scanned the empty beach. It had once been filled with people enjoying the world that was no longer his own... At least until he could return… "You got a deal." He said without looking at Malgormuun. His eyes focused on the beach. He'd try to save them, and he'd crush the rebellion to do it.

Meanwhile as he lay in bed, the hair on his began to darken at the roots before slowly spreading up. A subtle change.

Amas: Spent 4500 amas

Skar slammed her sack of amas down onto the slave market counter after she had made a decision on what slaves she was interested in. The dark elf merchant raised an eyebrow at the sack and smiled. He didn't care if Skar was a three-eyed troll with six arms. Amas was amas.

"4,500 amas. Skar want troll slave, ogre slave, and spend rest on goblin slaves." Skar demanded as she pointed at the cages that held the slaves she wanted. "Deal?" Skar said, mimicking Darius with a playful smirk.

"You got it." The slaver said after he had counted the amas out. "You can go pick out the ones you want…. Oh and I assume you'll need some way to transport your slaves. We might-"

"We swim across. First test of strength. Skar will not have weak slaves." Skar stared fiercely into each cage at the creatures that heard her words. She chose the ones that appeared to be the least discouraged by her proclamation. Once the slaves were chosen Skar spoke "I am Skar! Skar free you from chains! Skar is your chief! You will follow Skar to food, amas, and what we take from raids! If not, I kill you and feed to rest… Deal?" Skar raised an eyebrow when she didn't get the reply she wanted from the misfit group of green skins. "When Skar say deal! You say deal back! Deal?!"

Most of the goblins managed to let out a bit of a shriek that sounded more like "deee" while the troll and ogre did the same in more of a grunt.

"Deal!" A single goblin shouted clearly before putting on a proud, but creepy smile. Skar nodded to the goblin and pointed at him.

"Clever goblin! Stupid smile! Your name is Dari! You lead other goblins! Goblin Boss Dari!" Skar shouted before motioning for the group to follow her to the shallowest part of the channel.

Meanwhile, the dark elf slave market merchants chuckled at the crazy event that had just occurred.

"We either witnessed the oddest band of creatures marching to their death or the beginning of a deadly combination of creatures… They'll be put down before they even reach the Illuminata Kingdom.

Time: Night
Location: On the way back to the Inn
Interaction: @princess Malachi @Inertia Rei @Potter Corvina

When she didn’t hit the floor, Kenia looked over to Malachi who’d caught her and gave him a thankful smile. Her movements were slower now so that the world wouldn’t start spinning again. ”The drinks were definitely spiked, no doubt about that.” She said with a sigh as she gratefully leaned on Rei’s shoulder for support. Moving was a little slow going, but it was better to go slow than to fall and hurt themselves.

She remained silent for a long while, but eventually she laid her head on Rei’s shoulder as she’d gotten tired of holding it up, and began talking. ”I’m sorry you guys are having to deal with us like this. I never intended to get this drunk, it won’t happen again I promise.” There was sorrow in her voice as she spoke, watching the back of Corvina as they went along. ”I hope you all know that you’re my family now. That should scare me, but for some reason it doesn’t. You see I have bad luck with family. My mother died when I was young and while my father was fantastic, he always seemed to be busy. Then I married a man who I now realize was awful. I’m pretty sure he married me for status. Then we had two beautiful children whom he stole away one night and took to Aklenroth as a sacrifice all so he could gain more power.” She rambled, not really realizing all of what she was telling these people.

”So I just wanna say that I love you guys.” She finished, closing her eyes as they continued to walk, relying on Rei to guide her for a bit.

O'Ner Faister

O'Ner as Kellogg noticed the sun was setting and was surprised how much time passed, Turning around and putting away the contents of his carriage and planning on visiting the local inn. After he had finished cleaning up his flowers making sure to keep it safe and secure, getting on his horse and bringing his carriage to where the other carriages were near the inn. Getting off his horse and into the inn, he could smell before he entered the strong smell of cleaning products and lavender. Walking over towards the tubby man at the desk who was smiling directly at him, this strangely enough weirded out the undead general. "Hello sir, how may i help you today?" His voice was filed with a strange sweetness, his hands rubbing together while staring straight into his eyes. "I would like one room, someplace where their is nobody staying beside him. Would that be possible?" O'Ner/Kellogg asked trying to just get to his room to relax. "Yes that can be possible for quite a good amount of gold" The innkeeper spoke now holding out his hand which annoyed the disguised general.

Silently handing the innkeeper some gold and following the innkeeper to his room, while he was following him he was reminiscing a little of his honeymoon with his late wife. His mind was last in the moment not noticing that he had bumped into the innkeeper, "Sorry" He mumbled as the innkeeper looked like he was trying to hold back a angry look. "It's quite fine, here is your room how do you like it? Would you like some wine brought to your room?" The innkeeper's voice seemed distant to O'Ner still but the disguised demi-human was blankly staring at the innkeeper. "Yes that will be fine, just leave the bottle near my door and knock to let me know when it arrives" He said then watching the fat innkeeper waddling away while once in a while looking back behind him.

Quickly walking into his room and closing the door locking it behind him, feeling both creeped out and annoyed by him as he scanned the room. It was a quaint small room with a bed, bathroom and other living accommodations, laying on his bed and closing his eyes for a moment going back to his honeymoon.

(Flashback Start)

"Do you think this is a good idea?" Juila spoke up feeling quite strange with the two of them stealing a wine bottle form another couple, "Of course they will not mind they seemed to be having too much fun to notice" The middle aged O'Ner smiled to his bride holding the bottle in one hand. Quickly running away to their room holding Juila's hand and into their small honeymoon suite, breathing deeply trying to caught his breath staring into his wife's eyes. "See they did not seem to notice" His soft laughing filling up the room, "Well i hope they do not notice and we get kicked out" Juila was laughing as well taking the bottle form his hands and walking towards the bed. Opening the cork with a corkscrew while pertaining two wine glasses for them to drink form.

"To us and the many good times ahead" She said passing O'Ner a filled wine glass, "I can drink to that" O'Ner spoke up rising his glass chiming his glass with her own. The both of them drinking the contents of the wine, With O'Ner suddenly pressing his lips to her own as he lead her to the bedroom. Afterward their moment in bed the two of them were laying staring at the ceiling, the wine bottle form before was now a quarter empty and the both of them feeling it effect their mind. O'Ner wrapped his arm around Juila's shoulder to bring her closer, he could feel her body heat which warmed the both of them up.

(Flashback ends)

Hearing a knock on his door and slowly walking over opening the door and seeing the wine bottle in front of him, Picking up the bottle and closing the door behind him. Having picked up the wine glass that came with it and pouring himself a glass. Even though he could not feel the effect of the beverage he still partook in drinking the contents of the glass. "I can drink to that" He said to himself in the empty room smiling to the space where his wife would have been. What he felt was no sensation of taste just the empty feeling of something moving down his throat. Sighing softly and pouring himself another drink while looking outside and staring at the stars, pondering on if he should keep speaking to his daughter and try to build a friendship with her.

If he does then he would have to be careful not to reveal his true form, but he was scared if he should just leave the village and never return. But the sight of seeing his grown daughter brightened his cold heart, now he would be determined to speak to her again.

At first, Myra didn't really understand why Artemis didn't seem to like fish. It wasn't something Myra herself ate often as she preferred meat, but the way Zorrah prepared the fish made it really, really tasty. Since Artemis was a mermaid, Myra thought she probably hunted fishes to eat but judging by her reactions, it didn't seem it was really her choice of food. The moment Myra offered her meat though, Artemis hungrily took and ate it, making Myra smile, satisfied that the mermaid woman was liking the food, despite the fact that Myra wasn't the one who prepared it, instead she only ate...

After finishing, once again, putting a sizeable dent on the kitchen's provisions, especially meat, Myra gently grabbed Artemis' hand as she went to her and Darius' room, wondering if Artemis would like the soft and fluffy bed that Myra herself liked so much on the first day she arrived. As she gently took Artemis by her hand though, Myra started to think... Artemis was a mermaid, that meant she liked water... Then maybe she would be like Darius that was much more moved and happy with the bathroom and the shower than the bed itself... Despite that, Myra thought that Artemis would definitely like the room.

The moment they arrived on the room though, both Myra and Artemis would be surprised to meet no one other than Darius himself passed out on the bed. Just from a single glance, both were able to see that Darius was incredibly exhausted. While being careful to not wake him up, Myra moved a bit closer, curiously looking at the still sleeping Darius. The moment she did so, she realized that his hair was somehow... different. It had a different color than it had before. Myra didn't think much of it, simply finding it curious and a bit strange, since she was already accustomed with Darius' hair having the same color. After inspecting him and his new hair, Myra tried to gently push him to one side of the bed. She wanted to show Artemis how fluffy and comfortable it was but Darius was simply taking most of the space...

BGM: Kuroi's Conviction

It was now Kuroi's turn to listen to Baraian's words, only giving nonverbal responses. Although he couldn't fully agree with everything the elf was saying, he more or less understood where he was coming from and did find some logic and truth in his notions. He let out a small sigh of defeat, begrudgingly agreeing with his statements about heroism and the sort, "I suppose so. I wouldn't go so far as to call it destiny though."

After the two had spent their time bonding, the vulpine stood up and looked around for the nearest house with a clothesline that had blankets or anything of the sorts to cover himself with. Normally, it would be quite hard to find much of anything at this time of night (seeing as people usually let their clothes and sheets to dry during the day) but Kuroi searched nonetheless. His eyes scanned the area as he walked in the general vicinity of where Baraian was, making sure to stay within his line of sight. After a half-hour of endless searching, Kuroi suddenly jumped a house's fence from which he could procure some supplies for the night. Robbery wasn't something the fox was fond of, nor something he ever thought he'd need to resort to. Thus, upon taking down a couple of bed sheets and blankets hanging on a clothesline, Kuroi took out a few Amas and left them in the house's postbox.

He scanned the area once more, making sure no one had an eye on him before he rushed back over to Baraian, showing him the sheets he had acquired.

"Let's go, Baraian." He whispered, helping the elf up onto his feet once more.

Kenia was right. The drinks had been definitely spiked. They were both acting out of turn and irresponsible with humans. He glanced at Kenia as they moved down the road as she started to speak. She was telling them about how they were her family but felt she should be afraid due to the loss she suffered. Children being taken to Aklenroth as the sacrifice was one horrible thing he had not heard before in all his years. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. His heart ached for her and he wanted to hold her, but as the alcohol wore off, his old ways seemed to be setting in and telling him that was a bad idea. Aklenroth and all the pain he had caused made his blood boil like nothing else. Sure, the dark elves did a lot of the evil-doing but it was Aklenroth who gave them the power to do so and cared little for anyone and took away any hope of having a say.

A little blonde child with a cheeky smile flashed in his mind's eye. His eyes watered slightly but he made sure to not call attention to himself. He had lost everything. His family. His friends. Most people he had come in contact with over the last few years. Did he really want to go through all this again? No. He wouldn't let any more people die on his watch, but if it came to it, he would die for them. And in that case, he did not want them to love him, to feel pain from the loss of his life. He couldn't do what he did tonight again.

They soon came up to the Inn and Malachi led them inside. He moved up to his bed and sat on it. "I'm sorry I failed you all tonight. It won't happen again." He held eye contact with Kenia as he spoke.

Rei bit his lip at Kenia's words. He knew of this world's visceral hatred of Aklenroth and his misdeeds but hearing a person's live account of how he sacrifices children made it all too real. This world and it's denizens they were all very real. They all lived a colourful and fruitful life, perhaps even more fruitful than others on his earth. Maybe through disassociation he treated the people of this world as not 'real', like some fever-dream but the account finally made it sink in and click. This was a very real world and that was terrifying to him.

"It's fine, I have alot of experience in dealing with familial drunks." Rei joked, though his tone betrayed him. He gripped his ring necklace, surprising himself at being even able to consciously mention 'family' in a sentence.

Choosing to intentionally ignore Malachi's tears and silently acknowledging his words they made their way into the inn. He would help both the elves and Corvina into their respective rooms and beds.

"If you guys need help I'll be here, just call out." Rei recounted to all three as he laid them down. "I'll stay up and keep watch for a bit. Rest up, we still don't know if the spiked drinks will wear off. Hopefully sooner rather than later."

With that said he got up, splashed water onto his face. Next he pulled up a chair and rested it by the door. He began softly humming a song to himself. It's going to be a long night, isn't it?

Dionaea falling ill had been something that Elsea hadn’t expected in the least. She initially wondered if it had been the alcohol she’d had as it seemed like the girl hadn’t ever had much of that, but it was soon discovered it was something more. Elsea wished she could help more, but she didn’t know much about fairies and what ailed them. Besides, if Risa’s healing wasn’t doing much what could she do? All she knew was herbal remedies for things and even then she didn’t know if that would work for Dio.

What she did know she could do, however, was make a tea that was soothing for Risa at the very least. So she had spoken with Kyran’s mother and gathered what she needed to brew said tea. Now she was carrying a cup of it into the room where Risa sat with her best friend. She quietly moved beside the young fairy and handed her the cup of tea, giving her a soft smile while gently rubbing her back comfortingly.

She was quiet for a long moment, watching Dio’s breaths. Finally after a long moment she spoke. ”I think it’s the right choice to send Dio somewhere other than here for her safety.” She knew it wasn’t going to be what Risa wanted to hear, but there was truth in it. ”Our faces are all over the place now, it’s become very dangerous for us here.” She explained, looking at Risa now and hoping she understood what she meant. It was going to be hard enough for them all to keep unseen let alone trying to protect someone ill at the same time. It was just the harsh reality of the situation.

Cade Ayita Sakura Ilan

Time: Late afternoon
Location: Avalia Greenhouse, underneath a willow tree
Ambience: Verdant Greenhouse

The luscious Greenhouse of Avalia had become the secret meeting place for rebel forces within the immense city. Gathered underneath the hanging branches of a weeping willow tree near the edge of an artificial stream, Cade, Ayita, Sakura and Ilan discussed important business.

Or rather Ilan was watching the shimmering water of the stream, tinted orange in the setting sun. His jade eyes were glazed over. The faun was lost in thought, dreaming as he was often seen doing. He dabbled some on his lyre, and while it sounded pleasant, the notes lacked any direction or purpose. In a sense it was also beautiful, as they were melodies he could not replicate in that same order. Fleeting melodies, to match his fleeting thoughts.

Sakura was a bit pissed. The group didn’t even stop to go grab a bite first before going into this large Greenhouse, but she admitted that she loved how beautiful and peaceful this place was. Simply put: it was the complete opposite of Daka Island and she was more than happy for a change of scenery. It was also the perfect meeting place for the group. It was easier for Sakura to sense any lingering presence with magical powers near them that might eavesdrop on their conversation. The only other person with them was Regulus and it gave the group another sense of security as the centaur served as a guardsman over them.

What made the demoness happier was the load of information she’s been getting from the group. She was sure Aklenroth will be very pleased with her report but she decided not to be hasty. She might get more information from them soon when they ran into a couple more rebels and humans.

The greenhouse turned out to be the perfect place for the group to reunite themselves. Not only it was decently away from the center of the city but it was also unlikely that anyone would come to interrupt them.

At first, Ayita was distracted by Ilan as he mindlessly played his lyre, but after a few minutes appreciating the sound, she finally remembered why they were there.

"I don't think it's a good idea to tell them what I am yet, is it?"
Ayita asked to Cade and Sakura, whispering in a low tone. Even though both Regulus and Ilan seemed to be quite friendly, they should still try and know what side they were on.

"So... What is your story? I know my group isn't exactly a 'normal' one but a centaur and a faun are am equally exotic one, right?"
Ayita asked with a chuckle.

The pleasantly calm voice of Ayita woke Ilan from his daydreams. He stopped playing and placed the lyre on the soft carpet of grass which stretched out around them. As per usual Ilan hesitated to speak, waiting for Regulus to provide an explanation. He stroked the blades of grass with his fingers, looking at Ayita with wonder. There was something about her Ilan couldn´t pinpoint, and at the same time he did feel like he could trust her.

He relayed the events of his journey to her. Everything that happened on the day he left Roshmi, to meeting his first human, whom he took back to the city and into the infirmary, where he sadly passed away, because of his injuries. After that tragic event he met Kuroi. Ilan continued to explain about the rebel forces in a secret sanctuary underneath the city, their leader Baraian handed over his leadership position to Belle another human.

Regulus and me came to the city, to find more of them.
With them Ilan was implying humans. When his name was mentioned the centaur turned towards Ayita and Ilan. He merely nodded sternly in agreement with Ilan’s story.

If we find them, we can help them stay safe, and we can defeat the Lich King together.

Ilan explained, sounding both hopeful and fearful at the same time. He picked out a small daisy flower from the grass and started to pick at the leaves.

Cade enjoyed the greenhouse, it was bright and peaceful, filled with greenery and even had many plants he’d never seen in the forests. His tail swished back and forth to melodies that Ilan the faun strummed. He gave a nod to Ayita when she asked if she should continue the elf ruse, while these two seemed trustworthy he could see no harm in keeping secret the fact that she was human just in case. He listened quietly to Ilan’s story of how he came to join the rebellion against the lich. While Regulus remained as stoic as any warrior, the way in which Ilan told his story made Cade absolutely certain that they were to be trusted. Ilan’s tone and mannerisms were genuine, as was the empathy in his voice as he told them how the first human the faun had met died.

“It would be an honor to assist your cause, Ilan, if you will have me. For far too long a creature of death and destruction has ruled over Avalia, and it is time for that to change.” Cade said, keeping his voice down in case anyone else nearby was listening. He waited for his companions to voice their support as well, thinking they would, as finding allies for Ayita had been their main reason for coming to Roshmi after all.

Ayita was a bit surprised when Ilan stopped playing and started telling his story. Even though she had met him only a brief moment ago, just looking at Ilan's eyes, she knew that he was a good person and could be trusted. He was innocent and didn't seem to have even a drop of malice on him. The fact that he was also very shy wasn't new so she was pleasantly surprised when Ilan showed himself willing to open a bit more and talk about himself and his story.

As he continued talking, Ayita found herself surprised when Ilan mentioning having already met a human before, having even taken to the infirmary to try and treat his injuries. When he mentioned that said human had died though, Ayita couldn't help but be reminded of what she, as a human herself, would have to face in Avalia. It didn't take much explanation for her to realize that Ilan and Regulus were in fact allies, having met and tried to help other humans before and even mentioning a rebel force and the location they used as their hideout.

Turning to Cade and Sakura, Ayita gave them a nod and a small smile, indicating that they could indeed trust Ilan and Regulus after they both finished talking. Their goal to find more humans and help them, coupled with the story they had told them immediately identified them as valuable allies to Ayita, Cade and Sakura.

"Thanks for sharing your tale with us, of trusting us enough to share it." Ayita said with a smile and a small bow.

"In return, I also have something to tell you both. I'm sorry I kept it a secret but I had to be sure I could trust you before I revealed my secret..." Ayita said as she turned to Sakura.

"Would you mind dispelling your illusion for a second?" Ayita asked with a silent nod, making it clear she was ready to show them that she was a human.

The moment Sakura undid the spell, both Ilan and Regulus would be able to see Ayita's real self. Her exotic appearance not only immediately identified her as a human, but it would made it clear that she was even more 'exotic' than they previously could have thought.

Risa had smiled faintly at Elsea as she joined her. She set the tea down and gave her a hug before anything. As she listened to Elsea talk, she was brushing hair from Dionaea's face and stroking her hair. She knew this wasn't safe anymore for Dionaea. It was clear this was no cold or hangover, the girl was seriously ill. Elsea's words made her realize it'd be too dangerous to seek help from the hospital here, especially with her name so sought after. "I know you're right, Elsea. I just feel wrong not being with her through this whole thing. It sometimes feels like it's all my fault. I should have told her not to come with me to see the elves. I let her risk everything."

Truth be told, she had seen cases like this in the healing center. Fairies were often prone to a deadly illness when faced with heartbreak and too much stress. Care from fellow fairies was Dionaea's best hope. Tears spilled from her eyes as she managed softly, her voice choked up, "I don't want to lose her." Dionaea and she had been through everything together throughout their whole lives. If Risa lost her now, she didn't know what she'd do.

When did you get so negative? She thought to herself and shook her head. There was no reason to think like this; there was always hope and Dionaea was still with her, right here and now. Risa inched herself closer and took her dear friend's hand in hers, rubbing it gently, "Dionaea. I love you so much and you're going to be okay. I know it's hard now but don't give up, okay? A better world is around the corner and I want to explore all of it with you. "Risa paused, glancing at Elsea. She had to let Dionaea go. "Hades is going to take you to my parents, who will take good care of you. You'll be safe there."

Artemis
Time: Dusk
Location: Edena
Interaction: @FunnyGuy Darius | @13org Myra

Artemis ate with Myra, though she did not touch the fish. She remained silent and ate until she couldn't anymore. Due to prolonged abuse, neglect and starvation, Artemis couldn't eat half as much as she wanted to. When Myra took her hand to lead her out to their room, Artemis felt slightly queasy and relieved to leave the kitchen. The smells of everything was driving her mad. She felt her stomach grumble and growled at it in her mind. All she wished to do now was fall asleep underwater. It would bring her the most comfort and she would feel safe. Being in the castle was driving her up a wall.

Upon arriving in the room, she found herself shocked to see Darius passed out on the bed. Not only that, but his hair color had changed. She furrowed her brows. While she hadn't met a human before, she knew hair color changes weren't part of their abilities. She bit her lip and examined how exhausted he looked. The only visible change thus far was his hair. Next, she watched as Myra tried to gently push him and let out a deep sigh. That would surely wake him. "Myra sweetheart, please be careful - I don't want to wake him." Her voice was soft. Artemis sighed and felt the soft bed. For a moment, her mind began to reel back to her old home underwater. Tears briefly formed in her eyes but she blinked them away quickly. Knowing the situation was likely futile and Darius would wake up anyway, she carefully sat on the edge of the bed to relieve Myra's likely concern, then moved to sit on a chair instead. Her gaze was locked on Darius. She gently fixed the silky dress around her and fixed a coat over it as well.

Something was wrong, but she wasn't certain what yet. Time would certainly tell.

Corvina
Time: Dusk
Location: The Nest> The Inn
Interaction: @Tae - Kenia ✦ @princess - Malachi ✦ @Inertia Rei

While Corvina listened to Kenia reveal her past, she felt anger rise inside of her unlike before. How could someone do something so terrible? It was despicable. She shook her head and slowed to a halt so she could hold Kenia's hand and squeeze it. Her ex was one true son of a bitch. Cora couldn't imagine the pain that Kenia had endured. Next, Malachi's eyes teared, and Corvina could only assume he was remembering his own tragic past. What the hell was wrong with anyone, human or not, to cause such horrible suffering? She didn't understand it.

She hook her head as Rei attempted a joke but his tone betrayed him. What a lot they were; all of them had sad backgrounds. She had let go of Kenia's hand to rub Rei's shoulder gently. It was a simple acknowledgement to his own grief. She didn't want to push anyone else to speak tonight. They all suffered enough in the past and had enough on their plate. Still, she'd make a point to be kinder to them the next day and hug them all the next morning.

She sat on her bed as Rei aided her in sitting on her bed. Cora quickly went under the covers and kept her back against the wall. he turned her back so she could wipe her eyes. Once she had composed herself, she turned to face them again and kept the blanket up to her chin. She didn't want anyone worrying about her, but now she was too tense and worried about what might happen. "It's all right you two, please try not to beat yourselves up over it. It'll be okay. I love you guys." The words spilled out of her mouth before she could help it but let it go. She forced optimism into her voice and forced a faint smile. She couldn't bring herself to make a joke, though, but she wanted to look happy for the others.

How much could one human take in this world? Their journey was wild. She wondered if any other humans were experiencing this much chaos. Cora pushed the thoughts out of her mind and began to hum soothingly to the others to try helping them relax. The tune was "Once Upon a December," from Earth. Anastasia had been one of her favorite movies and her comfort. Corvina stared at Rei apologetically once more and turned to stare guardedly at the doorway.

The brief pushing from Myra was just enough to stir Darius from his slumber. It was not instantaneous, but it broke him away from his "dream" and back to reality. Darius' eyes slowly opened revealing their new deep red hue as he gazed upon both of his female companions in the room with him.

"Why are you looking at me like that…"

"...subtle changes…"

'What did he do?!" Darius sat up quickly and slipped out of the bed covers in a near panic. He immediately went to the mirror on the bedroom dresser. "What?! What the fuck?! My eyes! My hair!" Darius soon sighed before feeling a tingling sensation on his wrist. As he looked down and pulled his sleeve back, he noticed a peculiar mark. "Proof of the covenant…" He whispered to himself. Darius rolled his sleeve back with a look of discomfort. His eyes found Artemis and Myra again as he whipped back around to face then I don't want to worry them, especially Myra.

Darius smiled, trying to ease any worries the two might have. He almost felt like he was explaining how there was no way he was cheating on his girlfriend after being caught with some questionable direct messages in his inbox.

"Okay, don't worry about my face. I… Myra, remember the red crystal?" Darius motioned his hands to mimic how he had smashed the crystal in his palm. "It had this weapon thing inside and now I have it." He tried to go for a simple explanation. Darius looked into the mirror again with an uneasy look before turning back to the ladies. "It makes me look a little weird, but I'm…better. Honestly, I feel good and..." Darius smirked before he flexed his biceps and making that constipated looking face he thought many bodybuilders made while posing. He wasn't even more muscular than he already was.

Even with his goofy antics, he wasn't sure if they would accept his explanation.

"I promise, I'm fine." Darius presented his pinky to Myra, this time with a more serious tone and a look of confidence. He didn't want Myra to worry too much and not lose faith in him. His eyes shifted to Artemis for a moment. He wondered what the mermaid was thinking. She hadn't expressed what she really wanted for herself yet. She seems to like hanging with us, but does she know what that completely entails? I should tell her. I wouldn't want to drag a stranger into this mess I got myself into, especially not after everything she's seems to have already been through.

Torvi watched as the apple bounced on the floor and rolled towards their table. She glanced over at the cloaked figure, recognizing him as the man that had been there before. She narrowed her eyes at him, her suspicion growing even more. She took notice of the table, he had no drink there, no evidence of food, nothing. She also took notice of the owner glancing at the stranger, a bit of frustration evident on his face. This man had obviously sat here all day long and either hadn’t ordered anything and thus taking up a table and not making the tavern any money, or he’d done something to offend the owner of the establishment. Either was it made Torvi even more cautious of the man.

She hadn’t expected Elleta’s sassy remark and couldn’t contain her abrupt laughter. She hadn’t anticipated the two across from her to be so brutal and sassy. It was quite entertaining for sure. She glanced over at Bowyn with a slight smirk, wondering if he’d find any enjoyment out of the two’s cheeky remarks. It was definitely on par with something he would say as well. She wondered if he would add to the rudeness as well as it would very much be like him to do so. He didn’t trust newcomers and this person was definitely acting suspiciously.

She glanced back at the cloaked figure again and made a point of looking him up and down suspiciously. She wasn’t fond of people listening in to her conversations and she was willing to bet this man was here to eavesdrop on people. The small smile on his face gave it away that he had dropped the apple on purpose. ”Let me put my companions words a bit more simply, what do you want?” Her face showed every bit of distrust for the man as she kicked the apple back towards him. She remained guarded as she watched him closely, waiting for his response.

Kyran slowly walked into the room to sit beside Dionaea. He looked around the room at the others; there was no smile on his face although he had hope for her to get better he knew deep inside him that this was not going to end well. It could be the animal side of him but he was always told demi-humans had an ability to tell that something or someone is going to pass soon. Kyran understood that it would not be best to bring this up to the others and to just be supportive for Risa’s sake. “Hey, you’re going to be okay Dio and Risa we can get through this too we need to stay strong for her she would not want us to give up on everything we have done so far. I am sure the fairies will take care of her and hades will keep her safe.”

Kyran was really upset with all this happening. He sat there, looking at Dionaea on the bed. They had spent so many years together and if she was gone, it would always feel like a piece was missing. He didn’t want to lose a friend like this. Tears began to well up in his eyes. He had forgotten fairies could be so susceptible to illness. Hopefully, things went well and they’d have a miracle cure for her in Flower Fairy Kingdom. Either way, he did not want Risa to find out that she was dying or even if she died for some time. She was obviously getting very stressed lately and he did not want her to suffer the same fate.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Evening
Place: Roshmi

"There be plenty of things people claim that they need, yet at the same time can do without. An apple seldom falls far from the tree, perhaps if you'll eat of the apple it will give you knowledge you'll need. Oh nothing would certainly evade such keen eyes as those of the elves. But you are correct, apples are not on the menu, neither be you. A pity, I would have considered you with a cherry on top. But it might be all too sweet." The fairy answered Elleta with a smirk on his lips, clearly amused by her reaction. He adjusted himself on the stool to be facing the other table, his hair swaying slightly below the front of his hood.

"Cat has so far not gotten my tongue, but you would wish for me to share it with you? You do appear too young though for that, but I shall memorize your eagerness for the years to come." Elthrael addressed the second elf, which had been appearantly choking on her drink.

"Allergic? Oh not at all..." He faked a sneeze and threw his cloak and hood off to the side using one of his arms, to reveal his full form. "My appologies! Do I look like a demon? Perhaps I do. Hahah... A moth dreads not the light as some believe, it is drawn to it." He grinned now as he provided a wink to Elleta, his legs crossing on the stool.

"Oh I sharpen my fangs every day. I prefer to use elf ears to sharpen it with, for very few things are as sharp as those..." He momentarily paused for a chuckle, before proceeding "Except the edgyness of a human ofcourse. A pity the one I met won't last for long. Bad company you see. And it's not even the king's men, but a mind afflicting foxboy. Awful luck hm?" The fairy had caught the apple being kicked back to him, using the tip of his boot, flipping it back up into his hand in a quick grabbing motion. He then proceeded to spin the apple on top of one of his fingers, pressing the other fingers nails against it to peel the shell. "Hmmm...mm... what I want? Straight to the point hm? I want to know what brings a winter fairy so far south. And into such fine company no less." He formed a wide smile on his lips, his teeth showing as he did. The uneasiness was well written on their faces from what he could decipher, and it further drew his interest to have fun with them.

"Well, your physical aspects do you justice ladies, while your clothing does not, perhaps I've ought to peel you instead of this apple?" He said in an amused manner, no hint of wanting to take hostile action. His overall pose seemingly relaxed, but his eyes and facial expression showing that he is on high alert.

Time: Night
Location: Roshmi City—Leaky Tap Tavern
Interactions: Torvi @Tae, Belle @Potter, Elthrael @Dezuel

After having had several glasses of mead at the tavern, Bowyn continued this streak throughout the day, committing fully to not spending his first day in Roshmi sober. With Belle around he felt like he could relax more, it no longer fell on him alone to help Torvi. Belle seemed to be trustworthy enough, she had almost a full day to betray them and it hadn’t happened. She also had connections to the elves, likely the same ones who brought humans here, and so the pair of humans could now look out for each other. He welcomed the release from responsibility and took this as permission for a reprieve from the sobriety he had suffered though during the last few days. Bowyn doubted he could ever drink enough to truly drown his sorrows, as alcohol never provided him the same relief that drugs could, but he knew he could always numb himself enough to keep his sorrows at bay. During their day of shopping, or more accurately, thievery, Bowyn had stolen a flask off a demihuman bear that contained a spirit that he’d not tried before and that was delightfully potent. Throughout the day Bowyn kept himself inebriated enough to enjoy the day but not enough to become sloppy, for he still understood the danger of the situation and he was no longer alone in a forest.

It was strange to Bowyn that he was actually enjoying the company of others. At first, he wondered if he simply got along better with humans than he did with anyone of his own world but even Elleta was easy to get along with. He wanted to chalk it all up to their shared situation, the need for allies while under a constant sense of danger but, as Boreas so boldly pointed out to him during the day, it would seem that when he gave people a chance not everyone was so quick to let him down. It was also entirely possible that he was just drunk enough to be content in the present something he could not normally accomplish sober. He wasn’t sure what to do with this newfound sense of camaraderie but so long as these allies shared a similar goal, he didn’t see them getting in the way of his own goal. As long as he was not betrayed before Aeryn was laid to rest anything that happened after that was trivial to him. Accepting that his own death would likely be both soon and inevitable had certainly made others seem like less of a threat to him.

Once night came, they returned to the Leaky Tap, finding in almost exactly as they had left it and with the same strange cloaked man that they had seen before. Had he been waiting around for them to return all day? It certainly seemed like he had, with his not so discreet dropping of an apple near them, and Bowyn wondered how he knew they’d even be back at the tavern. He didn’t have to bother with questioning the strange man as Belle, Elleta, and Torvi all had that one covered, so Bowyn instead studied the man as the others questioned his motives. He didn’t like the unsettling grin that showed of sharp teeth that the man wore proudly. The man’s responses and grin made it clear that he enjoyed antagonizing others, a tactic Bowyn was not unfamiliar. It seemed what the cloaked man wanted was to know what Bowyn was doing so far south which he found disconcerting. Not only did the strange man with pointy teeth seem to know where they were staying but he was questioning Bowyn’s presence and so openly talking about knowing a human as well.

“I’m on vacation, seeing all the cities and forests I can before they burn to the ground. I don’t know if you’ve heard but things have gotten quite dangerous up north. As for my friends here, it is easier to find fine company when you’re not offering to peel them.” Bowyn responded dryly, the man was clearly asking for trouble and while Bowyn was not interested in trouble he also didn’t care for the way in which he addressed the others. An uneasy Boreas shifted on Bowyn’s shoulder, the merlin watching the strange man closely as well, feeding off Bowyn’s own distrust. “Why so interested in my kind? You do seem rather hot-blooded maybe you need to cool off?” He added.
