Daria
Location: On way to Library

Daria followed Helena, not bothered by her not knowing the exact location of the library. "Special - like they use a different language or ... are there monsters to be battled with?" The leopardess seemed a little excited, although Helena likely wouldn't be surprised that the pink-haired girl's thoughts drifted in that direction.

Though as Helena began to make small talk, the leopardess briefly responded immediately with a sort of disdain that wouldn't be hard for Helena to pick up on. "There are few literates in tribe." Daria didn't like them. Neither did her parents. They'd never been members of the tribe like everyone else and many shared the feeling that the sound of words on the page spoke over the voices of the spirits. She remembered ...

Daria shook her head as if to clear it as she seemed to focus on Helena once more. Daria knew that coming to this academy would change her in some ways. She had come here knowing that perhaps things wouldn't be the same in the future. The leopardess tried to listen to what the world was telling her - the saint, the white cat, the school itself. What wisdom was she supposed to gain from this? "Depends." That was easy ... now how to explain? "Which is the cart and which is the horse? The horse must be tamed first." The barbarian felt more comfortable asking for advice here - or perhaps not saying herself an option she held distaste for.

Cotton Full of Magic

Her fellow catgirl seemed quite excited at the prospect of being taught magic, which made Helena rather happy. She was looking forward to helping out her fellow catgirl, and wasn't hiding her own excitement either. As Daria asked about what made the third library special, the ice mage shook her head. "From what I heard... it only exists on certain days." She simply explained with a smile.

Then, as Daria spoke about literates, Helena couldn't ignore her roommate's tone, indicating that she held some degree of dislike towards the idea of being able to read... but Helena knew Daria would probably have to pick it up at some point sooner or later...

Of course, that could come later! If Helena could manage to teach Daria the basics of magic, then perhaps the catgirl would want to learn more magic, which could lead to her wanting to learn how to read to be able to learn more spells on her own.

"I think... Magic is the horse. It's the more important of the two at this time, I'd say. I can try to teach you magic without you having to read, after all." Helena explained with a smile. "Reading can come later, once you've mastered the basics of magic. That sound good to you?"

The leopardess let out a sigh of relief as it turned out that the magic was indeed the horse. It didn't occur to Daria as she nodded her consent that Helena had responded that way only to make her feel better. Daria's ears seemed to perk up in interest as she imagined casting magic by the night and becoming a powerful magebarian that crushed enemies with axe and fire.

As the power fantasy eventually drifted from her brain, Daria thought for a few minutes about their location and bit her lip. What would the library be like? She'd never been in one. Especially that weird one that existed only on certain days. It made her feel a little anxious - though more about the books than the disappearing act. Things coming and going on certain days or times wasn't exactly a marvel within her tribes. The spirits after all weren't exactly reliable, so she guessed the library was compareable.

Daria paused suddenly. Wait. Surely this was a sign!

Daria's tail went back and forth as if she was on a hunt, the only part of her that revealed her sudden internal excitement. "That ... library. The third one." Daria tried to sound normal as she thought about exploring a possible spirit building. "Is it here today? Less others to be scared of me."

Kate- Alteration Class

After crafting her bizarre creation and changing it into glass, Kate began the next exercise. Grabbing some grain and nuts, along with a small pot, she poured her ingredients into the pot, and, with an infusion of mystical energy, transformed them into a medium-sized plant. Interestingly, from its branches hung not the expected fruit, but rather slices of pizza. Kate had missed dinner after all, due to the timeskip, and so she was getting a bit hungry.

"So, who's up for some pizza?" she asked with a grin.

Parr- Alteration Class

"Why, thank you Miss Mela!" Parr replied to the apple girl's compliment. "Your creation is most facinating as well! Oh, but my 'wand' as you call it isn't anything special, though it certainly helps to foucs etheric energies! I have multiple examples, so you may have one for yourself, if you'd like."

Then he noticed that Sarah had transformed into a canine herself...and her front leg was still made of glass...

"My goodness, Miss Sarah, you make for a lovely Golden Retriever! Oh, but it appears you still have a bit of a problem with that leg... Would you care for some assistance?"

Before the other girl could respond, another student offered everyone a slice of pizza.

"Oh my, how wonderfully generous of you!" Parr exclaimed. "I think I shall indeed partake. Food for thought, after all!" he added with a chuckle.

Then he set to work on his next assignment. Retrieving a piece of meat from the supply area, he imbued it with mystical energy, much like he had done with the clay. This time, however, he also included a temoral component to his spell, causing the object to regress backwards through time. A few short moments later, and Professor Reed would find that her classroom now played host to a rather confused looking cow...

Sarah changed herself back to human again. "I'd like that, Professor. Perhaps you could give me some pointers on formholding? And Ponn, if you could make me normal again, that would be a big help. But after class, though. I'm busy right now."

The redhead thought for a second, looking over her possibilities. "Hmm... no, that won't do... got it." She picked up a strawberry, glanced at it, and waved her hands. Magic flowed through herself, and the fruit quickly turned into a passable impression of jelly. "Anybody got some bread?"

Eyeing the strange school from across the street, a certain girl with dirtied clothing picks herself up, ignoring the pangs of hunger going through her stomach. Noting a particular patch of the wall that seemed to be broken down (or more accurately, a particular section. Patch was... an understatement), mostly hidden from the public eye via... well, hiding it in a side alley, she meandered that way, taking care to make her motions not too obvious as she slipped into the alley, manycolored hair drawing her a few glances, but no more than a curious glance or two. Just another anime protagonist urchin on the streets.

Once in the alley, she swiftly scrambled up and over the broken down wall, stepping into the school grounds proper. She took a moment to look around, left eye closed as she did so, before a smell drifted through the air. The scent of delicious food, that sent the girls stomach rumbling, and she winced, hiding herself behind a building, and, seeing that no one was outside, began moving over to the building that delicious scent was coming from... she had to move through some gardens to get there, but was mostly unbothered, the thorns turned away by a thin layer of scales over her otherwise pale skin, though one particularly problematic thorn caught itself in her clothes, which she had to tug free, but soon, she stood (or more accurately crouched, in bushes she could not be spotted in), before the building providing the scent of much needed food. Obviously she couldn't just walk in, she already knew not many places were willing to serve somebody with raggedy clothes like her, so she'd have to sneak in, and take some when someone wasn't looking.

Perhaps there was an entrance on the second floor? Stepping around to the back, she squinted, noting the windows up top... maybe those could be opened? Glancing over the building, there were more than enough handholds... loose brick here, gutter pipe there... it was definitely possible. Could she do it stealthily..?Now that was a different matter, but one she had to figure out anyways. Sighing softly, stomach grumbling and giving her another pang. "Yeah, yes, I'm trying here..." She grumbles right back to her stomach, stepping over to the building, taking a deep breath, then stepping up to carefully climb up from handhold to handhold, arms trembling as she did so, but still managing her way up nonetheless. Once she reached the window, she toom a few deep breaths, panting from the exertion, and peeking in... a bedroom? Weird, but at least no one was there... with a simple snap of her fingers and a point, one part of the window flying open, only to catch it to avoid it slamming into the wall of the building, before the girl slipped inside, hopping down silently, and closing the window behind her...

Professor Celia Reed (Alteration)

The sphinx nodded to Sarah. "Sure. See that bookshelf, second shelf from the bottom, the green book, it deals with creating "hooks" which are the most basic form form of stability, you can borrow the book, if you allow me to keep examining you later."

To Kate, she even displayed a sense of surprise. "Huh, would you look at that, a student who actually knows what they are doing, both are very good works, you went straight to what was hard to perform and didn't turn yourself into stained glass or a slice of pizza in the process, impressive, for this school."

To Parr she sighed, as the cow's sudden appearance caused a few of the glass statues to be knocked over and break. "Eh..." she stopped herself. "Well, that is close enough to a transformation spell, even if time manipulation isn't part of the curriculum I guess you could argue it is a form of transformation... I also don't want to waste my time asking someone to re-do their project, so lets allow that to fly

She started chanting in an unknown language, a golden aura emanating, before the entire cow was turned into a single slice of bread with a hint of cow print. "Here you go sweetheart" she handed the bread to Sarah, who had requested it.

Speaking of heart, it was only them she saw Allura's "work". It was... something, for sure. The teacher's face started to go pale as she tried to blurt out her comment. "Uh, this is ah... it is... oh... Very interesting, its certainly... unusual, and a lot of alteration was done but... I uh..." she rose her lion paw to her mouth, feeling sick. The only reason she had sought a career as a teacher instead of being a proper sphinx standing in crossroads and devouring those who couldn't answer her riddles was that she was squeamish, easily upset at the sight of the unsightly. "C-class is dismissed. Thanks for coming, I need to uh... go." she added, before charging out of the room quickly.
