Welcome to London, more specifically the Thames' Edge University, the acclaimed institution of higher education. As an attractive University for eyes all across the world, offering a plethora of degrees, courses and specialisations, it's no doubt that its attracted the attention of the world. And from there, one could go down any path of life they'd like, providing they put in the effort. As the University's motto states: "Reperio vestri propositi." - Find your purpose.
Purpose. A driving force that gives meaning to life; a fuel for humanity, a goal that all seek. Purpose is many things, and yet in each iteration its the same. Whether the physical actions one makes or the principles behind their individuality, purpose always comes back to defining their existence. Without it, many will find life unpleasant, unguided and empty. And with that in mind, humankind has constantly searched and created purposes of its own, reasons to move forward through the harshest of winters, the most blistering summers and the tribulations that the Earth has to offer. It sets them ahead of all living organisms. It encourages those to create, the invent, to desire and to conquer. Both for the betterment of good and the enhancement of all evil, purpose is everywhere. Once removed, one would find themselves a husk. Beneath every human is a manifestation of their purpose. Reflections of cruel, violent purposes mirror into a world beyond the naked eye. A realm locked away from the common man holds the darkest forms of motives.
Shadows, they are called. Figments of ones' own worst desires melt together into abominations unrecognisable to the real world. Very little stands between your world and theirs. Worst still, only a select few can enter the world under their own will. Any other case requires forceful manipulation, a transporter taking them there with potentially malicious intent. There are, however, ways to combat the shadows, to best the hearts and to correct the purposes of the vulgar. By using the forms of Persona, one could test the fate of one's desires and look to fix them.
But you're just a student of Thames' Edge University, either a newly inducted student or a returning one. You could be from the local area, elsewhere in the United Kingdom or an international student entering a new culture. Things are normal. Things seem okay. Your world is woven into the obscurity of the people around you. All except a single binding factor. Upon waking up every morning, forcing those eyelids open at the crack of a burdened sunrise, you can't help but sadly, angrily or hopelessly ask yourself the same question. It's been the same question that has haunted you since the very beginning. Now at the final steps into the fully fledged world, a husk looks at you in the mirror and mouths the same words you do...
"What is my purpose?"
Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen, to Persona - The Beholder! Here, we'll be following a new, original premise surrounding the persona universe, separated by both country and characters. This roleplay aims to be an exciting blend of character narratives and interactive storytelling. London is our focal point and the world of Persona has reached new shores, cities and countrysides. We'll be delving into the theme of 'purpose', and the lack of it. Characters who may find themselves in search for a driver to carry them on through life. Discovering what they intend to do in life helps them realise who they are inside, the common trait throughout Persona.
As previously mentioned, this roleplay is mainly a character-driven narrative, setting aside the gamey systems for a more fluid method of delivering action. We won't be relying on RNG, dice rolls or other tabletop style mechanics that mimic the strategy of the series, instead taking a step back and relying the narrative-style writing you'd expect in most other RPs. With this comes the focus on who the characters interact with, the relationships they forge, love that blooms, rivalries that manifest and so forth. Combat is less about getting a higher number or a lucky damage count, instead its dictated by you as a writer. This does open up the potential for interesting and controlled character arcs, weaknesses and strengths, ones that aren't concrete nor tied to a simple rule. Speaking of combat and action, you're still likely to use the same persona, melee and gun forms of combat, however to what extent, style and restriction (within reason) is up to you as a character creator. Another major note to make is that the pace in which characters 'unlock' their Persona is up for debate, and is potentially subject to a lengthy development, giving way for a strong and fleshed out character narrative with larger payoffs. Then again, that's a conversation that'll arise when the time comes. For now, we will focus on what to expect from the story!
Conspiracy, legacy and responsibility. Three pillars accompany purpose in its core design. The story's direction will ultimately be up to the players themselves, having an adjustable framework set in place to be toyed with (again, within reason lmao). Pathways alternating between the morally good, morally bad and grey middle ground can be explored and used as a mechanism to generate interesting diversions in our cast. Again, won't spoil too much here. Worth saving all the interesting details for what's ahead. For what you can expect in general, though, a slightly heavier focus on the more serious aspects of the world are more than welcome.
Character creation is something I'm looking forward towards. Always love reading what other people come up with, so below will be the listed character sheet. Just a few notes to get through first: personas made for your character can either be existing or original. As for the character sheet itself, it should help summarise everything that should be included. You can alter the design of your character sheet as much as you want, after all it can be fun to mess around with it. Just as long as the necessary information is in there, do what you want. Any additional information you feel like putting in is completely up to you as well.
An image of the character could go here. Ensure this is heavily detailed as well in the appearance segment too.
Name Should be simple enough
Gender Ditto
Age Years and date of birth. The age-range set for the RP is between late 18s and 22, age of common university students.
Sexuality Bit o' fun
Nationality Not every character has to originate from the United Kingdom to take part. Considering the country, especially London, is heavily diverse in its cultures and citizens, I see no problem in choosing different nationalities accordingly, especially in universities.
Appearance Description of how they look physically, as well as if there's any alterations that may occur during a transition to the World of Fog. There aren't any concrete changes like metaverse outfits in Persona 5, more just a slight differentiation you'd might like to have in it all. Don't forget to also include their casual wear.
Height Easy enough. Feet and inches, preferably.
Personality What kind of person are they usually, perhaps both in and out of potential shadow stuff?
Persona If you can, provide an image or extensive description about what the character's hidden persona is. If there are any special quirks about its appearance as well as what it represents, include those. Also, include the Arcana here. We plan on using a different Arcana per character, so try to vary it from other applicants. If clashes come by the time two characters are selected, you may have to change it, though we may have compromises at the worst case scenario.
Skill Skills are less like game skillsets and instead a visual representation of their power. These include: fire, wind, ice, electric, aqua, earth, psychokinesis, curse, bless and nuclear. Each have their own benefits and weaknesses. Unlike a set tree of powers and moves, combat is a bit more freeform in its use, just as long as it isn't god-modded to shit.
Equipment What equipment do they bring usually into the World of Fog? Include melee weapons, if they hold a specific kind, and the type of 'Gun' they use.
Education In Thames' Edge University, there's a large selection of common courses expected in most institutions. From Literature, Arts, Music, Mathematics, Sciences and all things in-between. If you're unsure about a specific degree you'd want your character on, let me know. Include what year they are on too. (Typically, Late 18-late 19 is Year 1, 20-21 is Year 2 and 21-22 is Year 3.)
Biography The lead up to today. Who were they, who are they now and why are they potentially without purpose? Don't give away too much ; D
Affiliations Who are they families, major friends or life-impacting individuals with prior to the RP's beginning?
Relationships This is how they view other characters throughout the story. This will be updated as major changes in their involvement and view of one another is shifted overtime.
Character Theme Not necessary, but can be used if wished.
Final thing to talk about is the university itself. Thames' Edge University is a leading institution in this roleplay, taking on around 6,000 students across a multitude of specialisations, courses and ideas. They have specialised campuses around the city for the more prestigious courses, however they are mostly close together and part of the main body. All students that don't live with parents in the City of London are usually settled in the student accommodation. Those who wanted to go for an independent but more stressful time may have gotten individual housing with groups, or on their own, though that's a bit less likely in a busy metropolis such as London. Its facilities aren't the best in the world, but they rival much more famous universities such as Oxford and Cambridge, alongside its contemporary counterparts like the Imperial College.
With that layered out, I don't want to drag the OOC on too much. Any questions that people may have, just shoot me a mention! We also have a discord that hosts a lot of other OOCs. Feel free to hit me with a message there too. As for anyone else interested who wasn't in the interest check, I'd love to have you on! Just remember that some of the Arcana's will have already been claimed along the way, so keep that in mind when creating your character. I'll be making a list eventually when more characters are accepted in the appropriate tab highlighting the claimed ones. You're all free to make secondary characters too, ones that can offer a lot of interaction and relationship development throughout. I thank you for reading this far and hope that if you aren't part of it already, you're just as interested to join as I am to run this!
Trying to think of a character. I'm thinking music or arts kid from a higher class family, or something.
Sounds good.
By the way we're having more in-depth conversations in the discord if yah wanna join. Whatever you choose, feel free to send any ideas to me that you have for yourself lmao
”Why do I feel so worthless? My sisters are so much better than I am.”
Name: Gloria Sosa Hathaway
Gender: Female
Age 19, Feb 2, 2000
Sexuality Heterosexual
Nationality American
City, State Cambridge, Massachusetts
Reason(s) The Hathaway Family moved from Cambridge, Massachusetts to London, United Kingdom. They wanted a change of scenery for their children so they can get a better education somewhere else than in the United States of America. She was ten years old, when they arrived in London to live there. The education of the United Kingdom is greater than what could be gotten in the US.
Appearance: Gloria has a mixed of pale and tannish skin tones is from the time she was outside at her original home in America. Her violet eyes are dimer compared to other girls her own age, which sometimes to spark to life when she’s busy with whatever she’s working on. It shows in her body language is modest but definitely shy about certain things in her life. Her blonde hair is absolutely long, which it completely covers her back and stops to her upper thighs. There’s highlights of many different colors, which are pinks, purples, yellows and a hint of blue thrown on her hair. She has a very hard time smiling since she always feels inadequate. However, her jewelry is very beautiful she wears a purple flower earring on her right ear with a flower bracelet on her left wrist. She wears a specific bracelet-type necklace around her neck, which matches the theme of flowers and is black in color.
She wears an off shoulder black blouse with a pink ribbon, which is in the direct center but it is tied well. Her pink skirt is directly in the middle of what she likes to wear in terms of not super long or super short, which is right for her temperament. The colors, which she likes the most is pink, black and violet in terms her shoes are specifically these colors and they are tennis shoes. She wears a different Casual Outfit its mostly because of the way her elder sisters wear clothes and trying to copy it. However, she feels like she is trying to catch up with her sisters. She has a birthmark on her lower back, which is a multi-sided star within a rectangle. The multi-sided star points extend from the rectangle specifically on the top and bottom of it.
Her metaverse appearance is a longer black skirt, which goes past her knees that is very comfortable. The Pink Blouse she wears has a flower shaped pattern on it, which is cute on her. She also wears a Christian Cross flowery necklace on her neck. It allows her to walk alike a Priestess since she has a certain finesse compared to other girls, only because she copied how her sister’s walked mostly. Her steps are gentle yet defining in how she wants to be seen by her sisters, however they don’t see her that way. In all she does, she gets a bit embarrassed and tries to change subjects with her being slightly a pushover. However, she tries to keep a smile on her face to get to her goal of showing her sister’s up finally.
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 115 lbs
Personality: Gloria as a child was always bright and cheerful but having a hard time pinning down her feelings, which causes her problems every now and then. It doesn’t help she speaks in a quite reserved, quiet, respectable tone towards people without any ounce of condescension towards people. The reason for that is how she was raised by her parents, which was because of the quick paced nature of the family. It caused her to develop quite an inferiority complex, which made her feel worthless and feel like she could never hold a candle to her older sisters. They were always a step ahead of her in decision making, which they even figured out their lives going forward on their thirteen birthday. She was slower on the uptake it took her longer time for her to decide on certain things. It doesn’t make her any less intelligent within her family, which it just takes awhile for her to properly decide on a course of action. Her modesty is why she tries to take it slow to make it feel as if it isn’t always an urgent task.
Gloria easily gets embarrassed, which is primarily reason why she’s shy. She has a hard time opening up to people because of her shyness, which try to talk to her. Her family made her very hardworking, which gives her the opportunities that will give her an edge in her studies, profession choices, etc. She will always try to stay on her family’s good side by doing her very best in getting the best grades and what not. It is obvious she loves everyone in her family, which causes her to show respect for them to other people. However, there’s a slight darkness within her that she is envious and slightly jealous of her older sisters. It’s mostly because of the constant feeling she has to catch up to them and they have better confidence in themselves. It compounds her feelings, which causes her to cry or be a bit frustrated at everything about what’s lacking within her. This causes her to copy her older sisters since they are so much more than she is.
Her fears is that she’ll never get a chance to live up to being a Hathaway. It’s mostly because of the fact her family is so talented in specific fields or outright able to do multiple fields all at once. She had been pressured much more by her parents to follow in their footsteps compared to her sisters. It showed they cared much about her, which they want her chosen life to be similar to how they became professors. However, she wanted to follow her elder sisters path but would reluctantly didn’t want to make her parents angry. In terms of how she reacts to other people, she shows no hostility to them, which is one of the core tenants of her family. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all, which was mostly because of her sister Louise. It showed that she still has much to learn but wishes for a chance to finally show up her older sisters for once.
Gloria was born to Brandon Tenner Hathaway and Jessica Annie Hathaway. It was on February 2, 2000, when they gained a new addition to their family. The two of them work at the Harvard University as a History Professor and a Philosophy Professor, which they pressure their children in question to follow their careers. It is pretty much always a task to deal with their always urgent lifestyle for their children, which involves the fact that both parents work at the most prestigious US University on the East Coast. At this point, she had two older sisters at the ages of six and eight respectably. Her sister’s names are Zoey Hailey Hathaway and Louise Sally Hathaway, which they were always playing and being very friendly to Gloria. It showed that this family is tighter knit then most families in the US.
When she turned a year old and two months, which she finally spoke her first words. The words were mommy, daddy, Zoe-Zoe, and Lou-Lou since they were all in the room with her. It was an exciting time for the family, even though Louise and Zoey spoke their first words even sooner than only twelve months. Jessica sighed and told her elder daughters to stop trying to show off in front of their little sister Gloria, since it was unique to hear Gloria giving nicknames to her sisters. It was mostly because of the fact it wouldn’t be a good idea to start Gloria on a different path. Zoey stopped but couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Louise for still going at it. Neither of them were punished for their behavior, which is only because Zoey did stop trying to one up Louise’s accomplishments. Gloria couldn’t really understand what was happening since she was only a total of fourteen months old. It would make sense much later in her life in why her older siblings were constantly trying to one up each other.
Sometime passed, which it was on her third birthday. The only thing that was trying during this day on her life was the fact her mother Jessica was at work in the university, while her father was sick at home. Therefore, the only two people helping celebrate her birthday was her elder sisters. She blew out her candles for her third birthday, which her two sisters sang the happy birthday song. Her sisters decided to help Gloria open her presents only if she asks or needs their help opening the presents. She opened one of her presents and it was a teddy bear, which had a letter to it. It was from her parents telling her happy birthday, which helped her much since she was a bit sad that her parents weren’t here to celebrate her birthday. Her sisters really enjoyed seeing how much happier Gloria was since she was crying a bit much from the lack of her parents.
She asked her sisters cutely for help to open her other presences, since one of the presents were from the two of them. Zoey and Louise helped Gloria open her presents since they wanted to be helpful to her. Their present was the Odyssey by Homer, which is an epic tale surrounding Greek Myths. However, at this point, she didn’t really know how to read the book or understand the tales. Louise started up again, then Zoey tried to one up her about the fact Gloria couldn’t read the book in question. They talked about how Zoey read the book at three years old and Louise had to start reading at four, while they think Gloria will be able to read two years later. In terms of this, it caused her to gain a slight hint of an inferiority complex at her older sister’s accomplishments. She started to cry because of what her sisters were doing, which caused them to both stop. They were always very competitive and didn’t expect to make Gloria to cry, which they decided to apologize and promise her to not be highly competitive in front of her.
Later on, her mother Jessica was home and was tucking Gloria into bed and specifically asked if her older sisters did anything to upset her. It was obvious as day, that her sweet little daughter did cry about something, which means Jessica definitely knew something was up. Gloria told her mother that her sisters were trying to one up each other in front of her since they gave her the Odyssey as a gift. Jessica sighed a bit because it was always something they do, however, they do have friends that enjoy that competitive spirit they both have. Her mother kissed her goodnight and told her that she’ll handle Zoey and Louise to act differently around her. It was only because she didn’t want her favorite daughter Gloria to have an inferiority complex towards her elder siblings. Gloria told her mother goodnight and went to bed with a specific goal of trying to be a child first.
On Gloria’s Fifth Birthday, which was Zoey’s time to shine because she had completed the plan of what she was going to do in the future. However, the family was supposed to be celebrating Gloria’s birthday but Zoey interrupted it by her completion of the plan. Gloria wondered what this plan, which Zoey finally finished about what she was going to do in the future. Her parents never really told her about this since it wasn’t really time for Gloria to start worrying about that. However, this was the time to inform their daughter Gloria about the plan, which they had to create by themselves and follow through with it. It felt a bit restrictive and strict but it was needed for their future. Zoey told her family her plan, which involves becoming a Pediatrician and a mother of two children. It was only because she wants to take care of other people’s children while at the same time helping her siblings. The plan flabbergasted her parents, which caused them to look at Louise and Gloria for a second and hopeful that their future plans involve being a Professor at a Prestigious University.
Gloria as herself felt definitely inferior to her elder sister Zoey, which was going to follow through her plan no matter what. However, it was a bit odd they had to create a plan so soon. The plan included that Zoey wants to stay with her family until she finds the correct person to complete her. It would take awhile since Zoey has pretty bad luck in finding a good boyfriend for herself, since her parents are very strict on that aspect of their lives. Zoey looked at Gloria and told her that you can always have me to help you out in your life, sister. It was reassuring, which did help Gloria from crying. She didn’t really know what to say or do, however, all she did was hug Zoey. It was supposed to be her day but Zoey took the wind out of her sails, which probably meant two years from now Louise was going to do the exact same. In the back of her mind, which she felt worthless compared to her two sisters they are taking a hold of their lives, future and all she was doing is trying to stay a kid.
Louise had a look of amazement towards Zoey, which wasn’t a good idea to ruin Gloria’s Birthday. This is when Louise told everyone that she believes in being a pacifist. It was pretty much obvious in what she means by this, which is she won’t try to start fights or finish them. However, her parents told her that is a bit extreme and at least she should try to defend herself. Louise conceded that would be for the best, which it wouldn’t be a good idea to get injured or killed. This declaration effected Gloria a bit, since it was a bit odd to outright say.
She tried to ask her older sister Louise, but was told to try not be alike her by her family. Louise gave her one piece of advice was, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all. This is a specific piece of advice that definitely helped her, which will be further in her future at least. Today was an important day for Gloria, since it was her IQ test, which would help shape her future. Her sisters had their IQ tests on their fifth birthdays as well. It would take two months to get her test in, however, she was able to start preschool at least.
Her first day of preschool was amazing, which made her forget about her sister’s accomplishments and what not. It was truly fun, which helped her gain three friends, which were in her preschool class. However, they were the ones that had to approach her and help her open up to them. Gloria was the shyest girl in class that talked quietly and reserved. These friends that helped her open up slightly are Jenny, Maria and Vincent. They were really nice to her and helped her to do the assignments together, which were given to them by Maria’s mother Ethel Raina Acosta. Gloria was amazed and a bit shocked that Maria’s mother Ethel was inspired by her parents to become a preschool teacher. It definitely embarrassed her much since Ethel said wonderful things about her parents that were high praise. She was even more embarrassed, which didn’t help and kinda stayed quiet for the rest of the school day that involved only talking quietly to her three friends she gained that day.
Two months later, which she learned how much below she was her elder sisters. It was quite shocking to her that she was only a total of 5 – 7 points below her sisters. Zoey had a seven point advantage and Louise was only five points above Gloria in terms of their IQ. Her teacher was basically right in how smart Gloria is, just like her parents and elder sisters. It would take hard work and intelligence to become whatever they want to become. Gloria didn’t really know how to react with this news, however she had a bright and cheerful smile since the family went out to celebrate. They went to a specific place that Louise and Zoey enjoys going to, which is a Chuckie Cheese. Her parents are always happy to take them to a Chuckie cheese. This would be the last time that Zoey would be able to go to the Chuckie Cheese. Zoey would have to focus on her plan and have less time for playing and what not.
It would only take two years before Louise would have to do the same exact thing that Zoey is doing. Gloria was shocked to see one of her friends from preschool here, which was Maria and her mother Ethel. Ethel walked up to the Professors at Harvard and introduced herself kindly. Maria was happy to play with Gloria, which they went off on their own and played in the Chuckie Cheese. The entire thing was a happy site to see, which Jessica and Brandon were happy to see Ethel. They chatted for as long as was possible, since they stayed in the establishment until it was about to close. The two families went their separate ways after that, which was an enjoyed time. Jessica was really happy to see her favorite actually making friends and with Ethel’s daughter nonetheless. Ethel and Jessica used to go way back but something happened that caused them to distant each other. It was because Ethel is married to Jessica’s brother. Her mother only told it to her daughter Gloria because she looked like she wanted to know Ethel and Jessica’s relationship.
Gloria was put in bed by her mother and said she really likes her new friends she gained at school. It was precious, her mother kissed her forehead and told her goodnight. She had a great night sleep, which wasn’t interrupted because of anything. Her entire family went to bed a bit after she went to bed. It was a peaceful night sleep for the entire family, since it would mean a normal urgent life for tomorrow. She had a wonderful dream of her friends and her staying friends for their entire lives, however, she doesn’t know about her parents plans for her future. It was mostly because she thought her family was going to stay in the United States.
On Gloria’s seventh birthday, which was quite fun for her since her friends from preschool was here. Vincent, Jenny and Maria all came here via being taken to the birthday party by Maria’s mother Ethel. It was only because Jenny’s mother was sick and didn’t want to involve herself with a birthday party that shouldn’t involve someone sick. Vincent’s parents declined outright even though they did thank Gloria’s parents for the invitation nonetheless by giving Vincent their present for Gloria. Zoey was starring at her younger sister Louise and hoping she wouldn’t ruin Gloria’s birthday. They basically started to annoy the younger kids via arguing a bit about their future and what not. Gloria tried to get her sisters to stop and at least celebrate her birthday for a change. It only worked since Gloria started to cry, which made her older sisters stop arguing about their future.
Ethel looked at Zoey and Louise, sighed at them. Maria’s mother put the two older girls straight, at least wait until after the birthday is finished to impress their parents. However, when Jessica walked into the room, saw Ethel and waved at her happily. It was pretty obvious something was wrong but Jessica nor her husband wanted to bring the details to pass. He was working, which meant Jessica had to help her daughter’s birthday party by herself. It was good that she had help by Ethel, which is obvious.
Jessica looked at her two older children and told them that whatever you need can be done after the birthday party. It caused Louise to be a bit pout about it but her mother told her don’t try me, I want to have Gloria to have a birthday she can remember. No one knew why Jessica basically yelled at Louise, however. It was just obvious she didn’t want to hear it until her husband gets home, which will be after the Gloria’s seventh birthday. Ethel knew something was wrong, which is obvious what could have happened to make her friend basically snap at her daughter like that. The day went on, which ended in a great day for Gloria that was her best birthday yet.
Gloria and her friends were playing in another room of their home, while Ethel and Jessica were sitting down in the Kitchen chatting. Gloria walked into the kitchen to hear something that shocked her. Jessica was fired from her job at Harvard because of the fact she wasn’t the correct fit anymore, which was her philosophy was against the college’s. Jessica heard Gloria start crying and couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for her children. She sighed at the whole thing and called her other daughters in and told her the reason why she yelled at Louise. Ethel and everyone was shocked at what Jessica told them, which was the true reason for her being fired. It was that there was a better philosophy professor, which was her own brother Kyle and his philosophy aligned with the university’s on top of it. This entire thing hurt Ethel much, what in the world would her husband is thinking. Jessica didn’t blame her brother for this, it was the headmaster of the University, which chose Kyle over her.
Gloria’s father came home, which he was slightly happy, however he saw his wife at home definitely depressed. Brandon asked his wife why, and learned that she was fired from Harvard by the head of the University. He always did wonder why he didn’t see his wife at the University for a year, which meant that she got fired last year. The one thing he did, was the plan to keep Gloria’s future is still in the plans, which definitely cheered up Jessica a bit. Jessica was hopeful that her husband wouldn’t lose his job, however this means she would have to find a new job. Louise outright apologized to her mother for having that argument with her older sister Zoey before the birthday party. This hurt her family as a whole and didn’t activate her telling of her plan until a bit later.
Five hours passed, which the guests and the Hathaway family was eating dinner. It was the least thing they could do for Gloria’s friends before they have to go back to their homes. Louise kinda showed off her annoyances in front of everyone, which made Jenny & Vincent roll their eyes. Gloria couldn’t help but feel a bit more worthless since Louise had an excellent plan to cheer up her mother and father from the terrible news they had. Louise’s plan was to become a freelance Journalist, which would be searching for the truth in every nook since that’s what her father wanted to do. However, he chose his other dream job over being a journalist. Brandon was impressed at Louise’s ideas and knowledge of her investigative mind but didn’t want to deal with the shady side of being a journalist. It was definitely cheered up Jessica but she more then ever wanted Gloria to become a teacher, which is because she did lose her job to her own brother. However, Gloria didn’t really know exactly what she wanted to be at this point since she was still thinking on that. Her sisters made her feel completely worthless, which made her feel a bit envious and jealous of their complete, full and well detailed plans. They had their futures in their hands and all she has is being like herself.
On her 10th birthday, her parents moved her entire family from their family home in Cambridge to London, United Kingdom. Gloria had to say goodbye to her best friends, however promised to stay in contact with each other. It was the only thing she could do since she was crying much from departing from her friends. The only good thing in this, was Zoey’s ability to graduate twelve grade with valedictorian levels of grades with a GPA of 5. Zoey’s education was able to get into any university or college in the world, with how high her marks are. However, Zoey picked specifically Cambridge University in UK to go to since it was the best to be apart of. This made Gloria and Louise a bit worried in having to get education in the UK. However, their parents were already ahead of that bell curve and showed what schools and later Universities they could go to. Louise picked basically going from Evergreen Grammar School for A-Level English Literature, Language, Philosophy and Religious Studies. It was a bit too much for her but after that she wanted to go to Oxford University afterwards, even though she’ll have to have higher marks than Zoey. Mostly because she wanted to become a Freelance Journalist paramount to her future.
Gloria, which all she wanted was go to whatever school that was closest to where her parents now lived in London. Even though this was the first time she was celebrating her birthday without her friends. Her sisters definite range of skills kinda made her feel worthless to compete against them. However, she did have great grades too before moving to London. It wasn’t short of amazing that all of the Hathaway’s were basically geniuses in their own ways. However, her mother Jessica wanted to take a break from teaching since she wanted to stay at home. It basically meant the only one that wanted to stay working as a teacher was her father, which he would want to work at Key Stage III as a History Teacher. Gloria was in Key Stage II schooling in the United Kingdom. It was a bit odd for her to be living in a different country, which made herself closed back down and be only trying to be the best Hathaway as possible. She reverted back to how she was before she met her three childhood friends back in preschool in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Jessica talked to her youngest daughter about the University, she wanted to go to since it was important to pick it. Gloria was put on the spot right there, and basically picked Thames’ Edge University after looking through the Universities. It was right in London, which helped Gloria since it would be a pain to move further from her family that is. However, the only good news was her father did get the job as a History Teacher in one of the Key Stage III Schools in London. The family life basically slowed down much but that didn’t change the family dynamic of how urgent everything was for the family as a whole. They lived close enough to Evergreen Grammar School and St. Paul’s College, which were important schools to become apart of a University. However, it was closer to a Key Stage II School that Gloria picked to go to, even though she was very unsure of herself. She didn’t really understand why her parents moved the family all the way to London. Even her sisters were shocked at the decision, however, they did allow their eldest daughter to Graduate High School in the US.
Gloria, a few months later in a park with her mother Jessica was playing by herself. However, she was too shy to even approach any of the other boys or girls. It was a bit too scary to try to get to know anyone right now since she’s only been living in the UK for two months so far. She stayed near her mother throughout the whole time at the park. Jessica couldn’t help but notice her daughter did revert back to how she was only wanting to play with basically her sisters or her parents. This made her worry for her daughter’s development since Gloria was opening up much at school in Cambridge. It was mostly because of the three friends she made, which kinda made her regret moving somewhat. The move was for Gloria’s entire future as a person living in a family as demanding as hers. It didn’t help that she definitely noticed that her daughter was frustrated at herself and was crying somewhat. Jessica hugged her daughter and calmed her down with it and told her it’s going to be alright and nothing is going to bad happen to the family while in the United Kingdom.
Gloria was reassured by her mother, which helped her to stop crying a bit. However, her frustration was a bit harder to quell since she was wanting to see Jenny, Vincent or Maria. It was a bit worrying to say the least, they were the three in her life that she truly felt like they were true friends but the move destroyed that. Her feelings were a bit hurt by what her parents did but she still did love her family as a whole even with the fact her sisters were so much more better than her in certain things. It could’ve been so much worse, however. At least she will get to see her father at a school, which will be a nice change of pace for once. Her father’s historical records are a bit long since he learned everything important about all the countries since he wanted to know everything in History. He was a bit obsessed with not repeating mistakes of the past, which was why he taught history in the first place.
Time flew by a for a bit, until an incident happened to the Hathaway’s because of something happened to Louise Sally Hathaway. Louise disappeared without a trace, and no one really knows what happened to her. However, Gloria was shocked that her older sister Louise vanished, which compounded on the fact she wanted to show up her sisters. This all happened a year before she would attend Evergreen Grammar School. It made her a bit relieved that Louise did vanish but was internally conflicted and frustrated that she couldn’t know where her sister did vanish to. It was mostly because Louise was much closer to Gloria than she had been when Gloria was growing up. Zoey took it the worst out of the entire family since she kinda just slowed down to the point of crying constantly. The banter between the two older sisters felt normal and there was now a new normal in the family, which caused Gloria to be slightly troubled. Because Zoey tried promised Gloria, she would keep an eye on her so she doesn’t vanish alike Louise.
Louise completed her plan much sooner than Zoey, which was the only good thing the family was happy for. However, the disappearance hit the family hard, the only person that believed Louise was still alive was the father. He couldn’t believe that Louise would disappear, which it didn’t help that the Police Department couldn’t explain the disappearance. However, all they wanted to tell the family that she was dead because disappearance cases happen often. It was the admittance of the Police, which frustrated the father to the point of annoyance. The father didn’t believe Louise was dead nor disappeared for a particular reason because he loved his children and wanted them to have a great future ahead of them. He didn’t want to quit his job, but he definitely promised his wife, and two children he would go out and look for Louise every chance he can get. If it wasn’t for her pacifistic nature that frustrates him, he wouldn’t have allowed her to become a Freelance Journalist in the first place. He was basically investigating what the Police didn’t want to find out the truth or what not since they were fixated on other things at the time.
This caused the Hathaway’s to specifically focus onto Zoey and Gloria primarily, to make sure nothing bad happens to them. Gloria was prioritized a bit more to pick courses for the Evergreen Grammar School and what Degrees, which she’ll go after to make sure she follows through with what her parents want. It was pretty obvious she did pick courses to please her parents, and picked a course that her older sister Louise picked, Religious Studies as well. It’s mostly because she felt like that would be a good idea. The historical value of her father in history points, since he enjoys history that he constantly reads up on history of all eras to make sure that nothing is left unturned. He was driven much more after his wife was fired from Harvard University to teach the young to not repeat the mistakes of the past. Out of everything, it was a great turning point in keeping him focused and he even written a book on certain ideas about an alternate history he had thought of. In terms of a fantasy world beautiful and magnificent but has a slight conundrum or basically hypocrisy within it. However, they had to read the book to understand that hypocrisy within it.
Gloria on the only thing, didn’t really expect much from going to Evergreen Grammar School or the Thames’ Edge University later. It was all to please her parents since they want a professor of History & Philosophy. She was hopeful she might open up to people going to that school or even the University but she’s the quiet shy girl in school. However, she was always a hard worker and never really stopped getting very good grades but never really tried to make friends while going to school in the UK. It was pretty much obvious what all her courses were going to be for the next point in her life for the Grammar School in question.
In terms of when she went to the Grammar School in question, stayed her course, until she was finally able to go to Thames’ Edge University. It’s still hard, her father was still searching for Louise and she was accepted to get her Ethics and Philosophy Degree and History Degree as well. However, it was when she was nineteen when she finally attended the University in question. That means its been four years since her sister has vanished without a trace, and Zoey has really went down hill and hasn’t found her footing at all. It was like that competition between Louise and Zoey kept her going, however, she finally became a Pediatrician at least. The work is the only thing she could keep focused on, while living with her parents still.
However, her parents gave her important information about the Thames’ Edge University in question about specifically what it wants out of its students. The purpose was a bit odd but finding a purpose is always something that Gloria was trying to look for and showing up her sisters as well would help. Zoey’s depressive nature really hurt the family a bit since all she could do is say things, Louise would do this or that to get ahead. Even though, it did help that Gloria basically picked a religious twist to her Degree in question since it was about Religious tint to Philosophy. It would be mostly because she didn’t really like seeing her eldest sister Zoe-Zoe depressed. It gave her an important lesson, in terms of making people happier is better than keeping them in depression. As well as, another important lesson of if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all, it was mostly because of her sister Louise said that specifically. It hit her the hardest and wondered what has happened to her, she is a Freelance Journalist.
Gloria to take the Thames’ Edge University up on their offer of living at the Student Accommodations since it would be better to be independent from her parents. However, she does know that her sister Zoey will probably keep an eye on her since her sister is worried. Even though her family does live in London, but not close enough to the University and would be a pain in the ass to go to the University and back to Home. Since her parents live much closer to Evergreen Grammar School and St. Paul’s College. It was to be alike her sisters, who went to even more prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and stayed at the University. Mostly because she does copy her sisters, much and she decided to wear her sister’s casual clothes when she was 19 years old. Because she did love the pattern of them. It was one step for her to finally open up since she didn’t really gain much in the Grammar School.

The Hathaway Family
This family has been going through some troubling times, which was because of the disappearance of Louise Sally Hathaway. Zoey and her parents took it the worst when Louise disappeared. No one really knows how or why she disappeared, however, it might something to do with the fact she’s a freelance journalist. The entire family hopes Louise is still alive and not dead since it would hurt the dynamic within the family. Louise is a beacon of pacifism, which shows that her ideals overridden the ideals of the entire family as a whole. Brandon tries to find Louise all the time wondering where she went, he’s a bit obsessed with the fact she is still alive. Jessica on the other hand is trying to keep Zoey and Gloria on their path, which she is trying to focus on something other than the hole within the family. Zoey has been keeping an eye on Gloria more often to make sure she doesn’t make any mistakes unlike the pacifist middle sister might have done.
Jenny, Maria and Vincent are her friends in the United States. She gained them starting in Preschool through third grade. However, she had to move to London before she started fourth grade at ten years old. These three specifically keep in contact with Gloria since they are true friends and don’t ever take advantage of her intelligence. It doesn’t really help they could easily do so since Gloria is a pushover. They are the same age as Gloria, however, they were born different months to her. Gloria couldn’t really make friends or tried while living in London since her shyness and quietness definitely didn’t help.
Ethel Raina Acosta (52)
Ethel is Maria’s mother, which she’s married to Jessica’s brother Kyle Will Acosta. Who married her after falling out with his sister Jessica, which kinda hurt Ethel a bit. It was nice to reconnect with her best friend Jessica since Gloria was in her preschool class. She praised Gloria’s parents for how well they made it to be the best professors at Harvard University. She knew she embarrassed Gloria a bit much about how much she praised her family. She’s exactly the same age as Jessica.
Maria Rena Acosta (19)
Maria is Ethel and Kyle’s daughter. She became best friends with Gloria, which she truly did felt like nothing could tear apart their friendship. Maria was extremely happy and never once wanted to use Gloria’s intelligence in a negative way. She helped Gloria in becoming a bit more open and outgoing to gain more friends, which mostly because her friend Gloria has a hard time opening to people. Maria was born on April 6, 2000, which makes her the exact age as Gloria, Jenny and Vincent. She doesn’t have any other siblings, which is a good thing in some cases. The one thing she promised to Gloria was to be her friend for the rest of their lives, however, she has no real experience with younger or older siblings. However, she became pretty depressed when Gloria moved all the way to London.
Jenny Senna Francis (19)
Jenny’s parents are quite too busy, which gave her time to make friends. However, when her mother lost her job it was a bit much for her family. Her mother was too coddling after she lost her job and wanted to raise her youngest daughter correctly. It was because she didn’t want her daughter to lose her job when she actually gets one. However, she was still allowed to grow and be friends with her classmates of Maria, Gloria and Vincent. Her mother is named Jenna Irina Francis, which was too much of a downer to really go to Gloria’s Birthday Parties nor fly to London on Gloria’s parent’s dime. Jenna was ill as well and didn’t want to ruin the birthday party with her humor. Jenny was born on March 12, 2000 and she’s the same age as Gloria, Maria and Vincent. She promised Gloria to be her best friend and give her advice on figuring out specific things to be better than her depressive mother. She knew how much trouble older sisters can be since she has two of herself but they are definitely not as annoying as Louise and Zoey. It was a bit odd to feel like if her sisters were alike Zoey and Louise, which she would probably be having the same exact issues as Gloria. Jenny took Gloria’s move really hard, it was supposed to be the four of them going on with their lives.
Vincent Leo Carlton (19)
Vincent’s parents are extremely strict, which gave him not as much time for most things. However, he met Gloria, Maria and Jenny, which caused his mood to change for the better. Vincent was born on January 24, 2000 and he’s the same age as Gloria, Maria and Jenny. He’s quite fond of Gloria, because of the fact she was sweet for being so shy and quiet. It was a change of pace from the fact his parents were completely not quiet. He doesn’t really like to talk about his parents since its a sore topic. He took Gloria’s move the hardest since he couldn’t really understand the real reason, however, he was specifically told by Gloria’s parents its for her education. The one thing he enjoys was the fact that his friends has very different families and goals. Gloria’s sisters were a bit too much for him, which he knew of her frustrations of feeling worthless around them. He promised Gloria would always be her friend and help her against her issues.

Personal statement retrieved from UCAS The forces of economics have decided my life for me since the day I was born, so naturally by choosing to study this subject I can attempt to take back control of my life. My parents worked steady jobs until the recession, when they got laid off and we were put on welfare ever since. I heard this story repeated many times by my neighbors and relatives. And I lived it myself, a latchkey kid making runs to the food bank while my parents checked in daily at the job center for the next part time job available. I understood from a young age that businesses saw labor as numbers like their products. But unlike a goods or money supply where theory has allowed for excess demand to be represented as deficit or debt, a shortage in labor just means lower productivity. The unemployment rate of Britons had soared and never recovered in my lifetime, and as part of the problem I always sought to fix it. I became a practicing economist when I was only 10 years of age. My parents stopped arguing over expenses when they decided to give me their checks to organize. I knew even the days of birthday and Christmas novelties were bygone, so I maximized our budget purely for survival. After rent, whatever food banks could not provide I scrounged for at every supermarket sale within Birmingham almost, and holiday presents became gifts of clothes like the suits my father wore to job interviews. I reckon my family fared better than most in my area, since my next door tenants changed more frequently than we moved. My parents soon trusted me enough to do their taxes for them since I was managing their income anyways. Thus I became interested in looking up where our taxpayer money went towards government spending. I was angry when learning how much politicians spent lining the pockets of non Britons outside in the EU, while our own people with empty pockets go hungry right under their noses. Looking for alternatives, I read An Essay on the Principle of Population by Thomas Robert Malthus. Two hundred years later and counting I find his sentiments agreeable and views undeniable, that our population working or not if unfed becomes a detriment to our economy extending into society itself. What has also declined over time is the moral standard of the nation after influxes of immigrants with ulterior motives. Food security is threatened when good Briton establishments are shuttered then reopened by immigrants as greasy spoon kebab shops and Chinese takeaways importing outside food. I went to school with immigrants, and am proud to have beaten them in the subjects of mathematics and sciences as the top one percentile of my class. I studied hard to prove along with other Britons to the world that our nation has a self sufficient workforce including my parents whose utility we must prioritize over shelling out to immigrants and the EU. Brexit was an opportunity for me to initiate the change I wanted in my life. Despite being underage to vote at the time, I joined my local chapter of the Vote Leave campaign. I participated in conferences and rallies, where I helped organize participants and record political concerns and positions. I then personally requested to my campaign manager I follow up on those who live close to my home, handing them flyers and conversing with my neighborhood business owners, workers, and unemployed on how Brexit is the first step towards fixing our economy. I remember the talk I had with my parents who opposed my "donation" of time to politics, but I convinced them to vote "leave." I think my efforts contributed to the greater achievement of Brexit than any academic or professional one, and I learned from voters the importance of listening to the workforce that runs an economy when fixing one. The microeconomics of labor utility can be focused on after macroeconomic issues like labor market gluts are dealt with. I have no time to play and all the time to devote towards studying economics for a future where my parents have steady pay again.

He grew up a latchkey kid who was self conscious about his poverty and fostered resentment against his parents for their ineptitude. Read economic theories particularly by Thomas Malthus and agreed the moral standard of living was being corrupted in his time. Alright, here is my application. I wrote much of it in a daze last night, so please let me know if there's anything I can improve.
Name Kirsty Ramaswamy
Gender Female
Age 20, July 29th, 1999
Sexuality Heterosexual
Nationality Though born in the United Kingdom, Kirsty is three-fourths Indian
Appearance With vivid skin, a full figure, lustrous white hair, and remarkable red eyes, Kirsty is not even close to as repulsive as her self-esteem tells her she is. One gets the impression she's too busy or modest to devote a lot of time to her appearance, and it can show at times, but her luck in the genetics department is undeniable and carries a lot of weight. Hers is a highly expressive face, reflecting her -typically sunny- mood without restraint, but her manner and body language suggest a fidgety restlessness, often on edge. It's hard for her to get comfortable. She wears rectangular glasses to correct her nearsightedness.
Her usual outfits manage to be nice enough without being especially remarkable, and the fashion-minded observer can often tell that she could be doing better. Her favorite garb is simply a black sweater with gray pants. Her casual wear consists of a snug gray hoodie, often paired with an unsightly hairband to keep her hair under control. In the World of Fog, she subconsciously favors a bolder look. Her kindly features harden, and she replaced her typically demure outfit with a tougher, more run-and-tumble sort of formal.
Height 5'4”
Personality Kirsty is first and foremost a perfectionist, and an altruistic one at that. Raised with an acute understanding of what is right and that it should be done at all costs, she attempts to live out ideal behavior. She does her best to be generous, trusting, conversational, kind, empathetic, always trying to avoid conflict and help out others, no matter the expense to herself. With almost no self-esteem of her own (in fact believing she is physically and mentally repugnant to most everyone around her) she is most happy when meeting (or better yet surpassing) the expectations of others. As a result she is self-sacrificing, self-effacing, and prone to cave into most anything. She believes that working hard to earning the respect of others is vital, and she is very unhappy when people are displeased with her. She'll accept criticism or punishment for mistakes without question, assured that it'll make her better in the long run—for what is life, but being better than yesterday? She's smart, thorough, and very responsible, which all aid in this mission. In short, she's a perfect doormat, yet that's hardly earned her the respect she thought it would.
Of course, the extremes of her traits don't manifest all the time. Mostly, she's genuinely perky and pleasant, and quite talkative. It's tough for her to relax, but it's clear that she really enjoys any time she gets to do so, and whoever might want to keep her company while doing so. Aside from playing in her sister's band, going to different places to relax is her biggest hobby, and she enjoys being around other people. Mealtime, a period of relaxation in which to enjoy food, is particularly important to her, and missing meals tends to upset her. It's easy for her to come across to strangers as annoying, disingenuous, sycophantic, and that she's just trying to be better than everyone else.
As time has gone on, however, Kirsty has evidenced a few changes. There's a certain forced fragility to her smile. She seems tired, distracted, and even dull at times. It's not hard to find her nodding off, even when she's supposed to be at some task. One can get the sense that she's trying to hold back a lot of stress.
Kirsty's shadow, her other self, is not so restrained. Torn apart by pressure, she's a monster who forsook her ideals and betrayed the friends who relied on her so dearly. She is loud, crass, forceful, and self-assertive, someone who will not allow herself to be used, worn out, and thrown away like some tool.
Persona Gregor Samsa The story goes that one morning a normal everyday salesman, who worked all his days to provide for his family, woke up to find himself transformed into a hideous, verminous insect. Unable to so much as speak, he remained in his room, shunned and abused by most of his family as they were obliged to work for themselves. Only his sister cared for him, but she had her own life to lead, and could eventually stomach the parasite no longer. In the end, unable to live on as a burden to his family, and as a hideous thing hated by all, Gregor starved himself to death. After that, the sun shined on his family once more.
Education Thames' Edge University Degree in Journalism
Biography When Kirsty's family set out to raise her, they sought to raise her right. Her father, born and bred in Wales but landed in India as a business consultant, eventually returned to the United Kingdom with the woman that he loved. They enjoyed moderate success, sticking together through both highs and lows, and they were united in one belief: that the good life was earned, and that it would come to people in accordance to their hard work. They wanted more than a good life for their children, and for themselves in their old age. For that to happen in a challenging, unkind world, their kids would need to be raised just right. From an early age the twin sisters, Kirsty and Erin, were taught the very ideals of behavior. They learned to be kind and considerate, selfless and helpful, putting the needs of others above their own. They were taught to be perfect, as beautiful and flawless as diamonds in the rough, and their future seemed to glitter just as brightly.
Erin's dream was music. She longed to play on the grandest of stages to the adoration of the public, and her passion received her family's full support. Kirsty drank in the dream and joined her twin sister in its pursuit, finding even greater talent than Erin did. In high school, they formed a band with a childhood friend -Carter- and two friends from school. After classes they played together, working to make their dreams come true. As the years went by, however, the band never rose above mediocrity. It struggled to find a foothold and make an impact on the public, and the passion that infected Kirsty began to fade. She never dreamed of abandoning her sister and her friends, but she knew in her bones that the band couldn't make it, and she couldn't bear the thought of letting her parents down. Without Erin knowing, Kirsty changed courses and started down the road toward journalism. In doing so she gradually gained a new set of friends, school-minded folks oriented toward academic achievement and success. Thanks to her drive, wit, and willingness to help, she quickly made herself a vital member of the group, relied on by all. Kirsty soon found all her time split between school and band, and the two groups of friends she purposefully kept separate.
This divide persisted as she began at her university, and the pressure began to build. The band, whose members she knew and treasured for so long, needed her help. Their failure to gain popularity brought frustration, and the sentiment arose that Kirsty -their star member- wasn't pulling her weight anymore. When she tried to correct, however, Kirsty found resistance from her school friends, who needed her nigh-limitless support, goodwill, and help to keep on making good grades. Torn in two directions and unable to commit to either, Kirsty spent the rest of the school year fighting on both fronts, trying to please everyone. In the end, however, she pleased nobody, and she wore herself out doing it. Both groups of friends were suffering, but Kirsty, perennially tired and brain-fried, couldn't live both lives. No matter how hard she tried, her goals were getting farther out of reach, and her friends were slipping between her fingers. Gone was the perfect star whose light enriched all it shone upon; a liability had taken her place, and Kirsty's friends began to treat her accordingly. Their treatment hurt almost as badly as the feeling of failure that plagued her, and Kirsty neared her wit's end. She knew she wasn't happy, and she couldn't keep this up match longer. Was either road worth all this? What, she wondered, did she even want to do? Aimless and fraying, she reached out for purpose.

Erin Ramaswamy – Kirsty's twin sister. Kindred spirits and the best of friends, they lived their whole lives with one another to depend upon. While Erin didn't have as the same musical touch as Kirsty, she was far more passionate about and dedicated to her craft, which placed her as the de-facto leader of the band. She believes that Kirsty is a vital element of the band, with her whole-hearted participation necessary for its success and her increasing inability to focus the primary factor in its lack of success. It's become increasingly clear that Kirsty's heart is not in it, and the two are growing apart.
Shrishti Ramaswamy – Kirsty's mother. An ambitious, go-getter reporter working for the most prestigious publication in New Delhi, she met Kirsty's father while he worked as a business consultant in India, and the two eventually married before moving to the United kingdom. Wants nothing but the best for her children, and endeavored to raise them ideally.
Harvey Ramaswamy – Kirsty's father. Born in Wales to an Welsh father and Indian mother, he grew up in the United Kingdom but maintained a strong connection to his mother's homeland. He eventually spent many years there himself for work. Wants nothing but the best for his children, and endeavored to raise them ideally.
Drew Whittney – a childhood friend of both Kirsty and Erin. Something of a nerd and wallflower, he benefited greatly from the sisters' compassion in his earlier years. Eventually he joined their band as the keyboardist, and hopes to make it big alongside them. Owing to his childhood friendship he's got a crush on Kirsty, and nowadays oftentimes butters her up. Citing her naivety and good nature, he's appointed himself as her guardian, and for her protection lets her know what others think about her. While the news is invariably bad, he stands firm as her rock of support, who appreciates her despite all her 'faults'. As such, he keeps her close and steers her away from 'bad influences'.
Annalynn Drinkwater – a good friend of Kirsty's, the closest to her among her school friends. She's funny and engaging, but while sharp-witted is also both lazy and pragmatic. In exchange for gratitude, praise, and validation, she's more than happy to let Kirsty do the bulk of her work for her. They spend a lot of free time together and enjoy each others' company.
Paula Navarro – Kirsty's professor. Though always somewhat helpful, she's really stepped up to give Kirsty a hand as her studies started to suffer. She gives Kirsty advice and tips, and assistance with difficult problems, and all Kirsty needs to do in return is help out with some chores now and again. This includes a part-time 'job' at Ms. Navarro's house, where the professor insists Kirsty dons attire appropriate to her 'profession' and for some reason films her as she goes about it. For her part Kirsty doesn't know why, but she trusts in her professor fully.
Alright, you've downright captured my imagination. Do you have room for another, aka me? I have a character idea I'd love to post, but I wanna ask and make sure first rather than take someone's place on accident or step on any toes!
Appearance Tall, with lean muscles and skin that tans when it gets too much sun, or pales when there's lack thereof. Perpetual frown has now become her resting face, regardless if the woman's actually pissed. And she usually isn't, just confused or overthinking. Her hair, usually kept loose, is black though strands of it look deep brown when under the sun, and her dark-brown eyes often are mistaken for black.
She is seen wearing somewhat upscale-casual clothes, usually pieces borrowed from her cousin's lover. These pieces are more often than not monochromatic, i.e. a solid black tank-top with solid white capris, or vice-versa. It's uncommon to see her wearing color or shades of grey.
In the World of Fog, she'd likely opt for clothing that included maximum coverage and pockets. Perhaps a turtle-neck accompanied by a many-pocketed vest, cargo pants with steel-toed boots and thin, leather gloves.
Height 6'1"
Personality Once quick to act and, more accurately, react, Adonna is now crippled by the idea of the right way to act, and the consequences her actions might cause, rendering her prone to inaction or slow reaction. Hers was, and still is, a black and white outlook, and when that was challenged, when shades of grey were thrust upon her, at first she reacted violently, becoming a volatile mess. But that sort of energy burns up fast, and it left her with few remaining in her corner. While she still believes in not tolerating injustice, and that justice should be pursued steadfast and straightforward, she's no longer sure what actions are right or even how to pursue it and remain just herself.
Adonna's shadow self is fully moon-white, outlines and details in black. She sits atop an elevated platform, motionless and mute, peering down upon those that circle around her: friends, family, all those she's known and have impacted her life, moving in several many circles around the center, predictable and paced. Those who are good are in circles closer to her, and they are full white like herself, inaudibly laughing and full of smiles. Those who are bad are in circles farther from her, and are unlit as though in pure night, shone only by the white outlines that make up their person. Outlines which show their frowns and silently howling mouths.
Persona Wendigo
It is said that the Wendigo was once a man who, having eaten the flesh of his own kind, became hungry for more and wouldn't stop hunting for just another taste until he became as monstrous in form as his desires.
There's another tale. One far less told. About a man of the law who grew tried of the maze of lies he had to navigate just to live. One day he saw himself in the mirror, and grew mad. For what he saw did not match the twisted man he was within. No longer could he deal in convulded punishments or tricky payments. He decided that, instead, from who'd done wrong he'd rip from them a pound of flesh.
The Wendigo appears as it does above, save for its shadowy muzzle can be seen in profile view, within which it has unnaturally white teeth. It moves slow, has no long-range attacks, and will only attack with its massive maw, attempting to rip away whatever it sinks its teeth into.
Biography There was good and there and bad, and they were two seperate things in Adonna's eyes. But when her mother got back with her father, she couldn't reconcile the world in front of her with the world she believed in. So she fought for her vision to be true. Literally. And this winded her in a string of trouble and several run-ins with the law. The consequences would have been greater had her father not stepped in, which furthered the confusion Adonna felt. Some people may have adapted, but she refused to budge from her beliefs, stubborn as ever.
Ironically, this landed her in with a poor moral crowd, and combined with her actions, threatened to get her into truly deep trouble. It was around this time that she expressed her desire for change, a do-over, to her cousin. Though much older, he knew first hand the volatility of their family and because he himself saw in her what he could have become had he not had help, he offered her a lifeline: Come live with him in London, get a fresh start, and he'd even get the ball rolling to get her enrolled at Thames' Edge University.

Adrian Borromeo - Adonna's father with whom she has a strained relationship. Until Adonna moved overseas with her cousin, he bankrolled her expenditures.
Elena Cannata Borromeo - Adonna's mother whom she used to be very protective of. Now estranged, Adonna has rotating feelings of guilt for not being there with her and confusion over her mum's choices.

Clean shaven, well-kept and presentably dressed, it's not uncommon for Laurence to be singled out as an uninspired, behaving student that sinks into the crowds. Aside from a near perfect posture, that's about where his usual appearance ends. Physically, he isn't built too well and, although semi-athletic, he's rather lean, scrawny to the distant eye. With dirty-blonde hair that raggedly drapes down the back of his skull and over his neck, his relaxing natural expression helps amplify his appearance of a loose composure. His eyes are rimmed with a misty blue iris.
Laurence tends to wear loose-fit clothes both in and out of University hours, most of which were purchased in either charity shops or from family members no longer wanting them. As such, much of his wardrobe is similar in all but colour and the occasional plaid pattern. On the colder and wetter days of London's climate, he's likely to be seen in heavy grey-drab and scarves, favouring them over coats and shorter jackets. However, upon transition to the World of Fog, his attires generally remain minimalist in colour and baggage, anchoring on ht ideals of practicality over stylistic looks.
Personality
First and foremost, Laurence is a young man fluent in the world of art. Showering himself in creative pieces throughout his childhood has brought out a strong desire to create, or to be creative in how he looks over daily obstacles. To those outside, he's well-versed in the medium of film and visualised storytelling, a level-headed and down-to-earth individual who doesn't fall victim to being pretentious. Aptly tempered on the surface, some could say he's pleasant to be around. In conversation about art is where his passion tends to show, with a clear mindset as to what he wants to do and a flexible sense of improvisation to combat obstructions along the way. Such personality traits venture into his tendency to host collaborations between courses, opening up his social circle just that little bit more. And that's where the problems begin. See, when you're everyone's acquaintance, you're no ones actual friend.
Laurence is well aware of his lack of friends and does struggle with the idea of long-term relationships. The concept itself is a desire, something he wants to pursue in the hopes of finding a figure to take pride alongside. Instead, he found himself alone, liked by all but loved by none. True, one couldn't guess of his loneliness from meeting him. A standout guy with a name for himself; it's almost as if he lived a perfectly comfortable one. But depravity has taking its toll throughout his childhood. When alone, he talks to himself as if a friend is there. Easily embarrassed and all around low on self-esteem. He could hold any conversation he wanted, there was just no one to have them with. And without the family he wished for, his purpose falls.
From house to house, foster parent to foster parent, Laurence struggles with a starved life lacking love. He began to lose interest in his own work, recently. In dire need to reconcile with what few blood-related family members that are still left, he continues to hide his all that he does by living a life in wordless frustration.
Persona
Desdemona “She loved me for the dangers I had passed, and I loved her that she did pity them.”
Loved, betrayed, murdered. Walking in beauty and with a perfect image, the sweet Venetian lass moved along a path of excellence alongside a lover she once gave her name to. When deceit and the cruel workings of the world took form, she suffered, losing her purpose and willingly allowing for her strangulation as to appease her ex-lover. In death, she sought a purpose of being loved. In legacy, she faded into tragedy.

Biography
How does one live a childhood without a parent to lead the way? The orphaned may look up to the owner of their orphanage, or the parents that adopt them in the coming years. There's always the chance that won't happen. Those who don't get to cherish the comforting realisation of continuing a legacy fall short of happy. Memories so familiar to others, learning to ride bikes, taking rides on cheap holidays...those are inconceivable to some. Laka Adamcevski was one of those children. A mistake. An accident. The product of someone's poor life decision. And within a month of his birth, an abandoned plastic bag left drifting in the gales of sorrow. A dysfunctional relationship left him bastardised. Off went the mother, and away she went into the mist. At first, things weren't all fog and darkness, the father took their son as he should have: lovingly and with care. Times change though. People change. Intents change. Judgement begins.
Careers were locked out of, even so as Laurence outgrew infancy. Mr Adamcevski could no longer pursue his life goal. He was anchored. His small business fell apart with his absence. Debt began to rise up. Unprepared to shift into complete paternity, he began to hate his son. Laka became a nuisance, a naive husk that treated life as an innocent playground. When he couldn't emotionally lash out, he turned to drinking. Neither can remember how far he truly went. All that was known was that shortly after, he couldn't handle his own burden anymore and signed Laka up for fostering by the age of five. His name was subsequently retrofitted into something more British by his father's decision. And so, the child Laurence Newman was eventually fostered into his first family.
Laurence didn't talk that much as a child. He'd primarily heard polish and adjusted to it, but muted himself out of fear for his father's depression. Moving to the other side of Midhurst, out of his small yet predominantly polish community, left him blindsided and isolated. He entered a public school and was immediately subjugated to special educational needs to accommodate for his lack of linguistic development. One such method of communication that was adopted early on was art. Association of images to words - a tool to teach and to tell. This was his first step into the future career he'd fall in love with.
At aged 7 he moved to his second foster parents after disputes and communication issues with the former. He joined a Polish family this time and stuck with them for 4 years. There, he continued his studies and honed in on his English whilst rekindling his halfhearted native tongue. It was at this age he dwelt more upon his childhood. The family he lived with already had children. They, much like several classmates, enjoyed bullying him. Between the childlike harassment and the struggles at school, he finally became far more fluent through the use of entertainment; specifically, he fell in love with film. Its combination of visuals, language and storytelling helped him develop his linguistic skills drastically. He recited scripts in his bedroom alone, looking up the meanings and actively partaking in online discussion forums. Albeit, in his early years much of his time was spent reading others than actually engaging in conversation. At age 13, he moved to his third foster home, getting a change due to the bullying getting to him.
The third family was the shortest lived. Eight months. Halfway through secondary school, Laurence fell out with his foster parents more, unwilling to accept them as some sort of replacement to his father's separation. A blend of puberty and genuine anger led to many household disputes. To cope with each argument's aftermath, he'd draw, watch online series and actively talk online about film. He started writing scripts as a way to help with his English GCSE understanding, only to fall in love with the practice just as he had for film. By the eight month of putting up with the worst household yet, he was finally moved to his last place of residence. At the age of 15, he fell into obscurity.
Laurence didn't love his last family. They were nice. They were hardworking and consistently busy. They knew their duty to look after Laurence in his late teens and gave him a space to be looked after. None of them really admired what he did nor did they look to see what he'd created. His amateur filmmaking he'd do for tiny online communities were ignored by those close to him, pushing them away further than ever before. It was also at this time, during his GCSEs, that Laurence tried to reconcile with his father. The two had seen each other on the very rare occasion, their chats being reduced to nothing but few word sentences and stares of sadness. Laurence would never believe his father when he said that he was sorry. He convinced himself the two didn't love one another, even if they did in their hearts. And with that, Laurence shoved himself down a pit of inadequacy. He felt inferior when he created things in his spare time. Appraisal from peers and teachers didn't feel like much. He breezed through sixth form in detest for his own creative output. Clouding his own hatred by showering others in idolisation solved nothing but to satisfy his generosity and desire to make others happy. He grew into a peer to go to for help, to learn from and to improve from. All the advice he gave helped the others develop not only as writers and filmmakers, but as people. He lacked the final component they received.
And so, he joined University. Moving to London, he separated from his foster family, though this time only for education. Still under their guardianship, they helped fund his time as a student through the wealth of their growing chemical engineering enterprise. He was given enough to help with maintenance as the student loan he received was minimal. The first year went by. He felt worse than before. He saw relationships blossom, a new form of love that permanently rivalled that of familial bonds. Laurence faded once again into obscurity. In his loss of purpose, he almost forgot of his origins. He forgot about why he loved making films, only continuing to do so for an inexplicable enjoyment. He needed something to give him meaning. And that something was the appreciation of someone he loved.

Appearance
Tyler's exercises when he was young probably didn't show as much as one may think, he wasn't exactly a bulky type even back when he was in his prime.
The fair-going-pale complexion on his otherwise Caucasian skin suggests a near mundane level of sunlight contacting the skin, though in the UK, it's hardly ever not cloudy so this could also be relatively normal coloring compared to the rest of the population.
His hair was originally brown, then was dyed to white as a child, before being darkened purposely to a light grey; a failed attempt of turning it back to brown by using coffee. But regardless of his color of hair was, his eyes remained a radiant blue.
Back when he was younger at the prime of his exercising days, he wore a lot of darker clothing, the kind of stuff that was just barely tolerant for school dress codes, no real rhyme or reason to any combination, going with whatever could grab at the time. Usually though, it was along the lines of a dark grey pair of jeans, with a darkened t-shirt, under a black over-shirt/coat. When he got really upset at people he would have a fake knife pocketed in the over-shirt or coat, brandishing it to deal them with threats or beat them with the hilt. He also wore short boots made for outdoor traveling, the hard material being useful for if he needed to kick someone.
Nowadays however, his choice of attire changed as much as he did. Both in and out of school, he prefers to wear rather bright clothing, like using a Sky-blue over-shirt over a white dress shirt to use as part of his school uniform, a yellow tie to contrast while still being bright itself to complete the top, and a light-grey pair of jeans, all of which seem adequately cleaned and pressed, albeit clearly by an amateur if the wrinkles here and there on shirt's arms and the pants are any sign. Common dress shoes of a brown leather and a normal brown shoestrings to tie them together, relatively tidy and almost brand new.
The Casual wear depends on weather of the moment, but the general theming is bright colors as well. Currently, his casual clothing of choice is a red cotton button-down short-sleeved shirt with a logo on the back depicting two hands coming together - one being white with a black dot at the back of the palm, and the other being vice-versa, forming an odd version of the Tao symbol - green cargo shorts, and some white tennis shoes.
Inside the warped realm of his mind lies another him, would look exactly like him if not for the glowing yellow eyes and the unnaturally darkened complexions of his skin. His attire greatly exaggerates the inner militarism in Tyler, typical aspect of Shadows, looking like a General of a particularly controversial German army. The Shadow wears an olive green undershirt with a black tie, a small pin of an olive tree placed at the center of the tie, a heavily decorated brown overcoat containing various medals, all of them ironically seemingly symbols of peace, and a matching long brown coat with the badge of a white feather on the Lapel. To complete the General look, he wears a green military authority cap with a skull and crossbones in the center.
After coming to terms with his inner turmoils, he decided to change up his appearance. While still keeping to a pair of blue jeans, his boots from his younger days returned, as does his darken T-shirt, only now the overcoat is essentially a cargo coat colored in the traditional green camouflage, a set pair of Blank Dog-tags to complete his more pro-military look.
Height 5'7"
Weight 140 lbs
----------------------------------------------
Personality There was a time when Tyler was just a normal kid: Bubbly, optimistic to the point of naivety, innocent. He saw his twin siblings as under his care as much as they're under the care of his parents, and he often fastened himself to thoughts of being a superhero in guarding them. He idolized both his Father and his Uncle for their veteran status in the British Military, having a desire to grow up and be just like them. This was combined with a sense of unquestioning trust in his Uncle, which led to what changed him utterly.
After his training under his uncle, brutal as it was, he came out of it with his family meaning the world to him, and everyone else an enemy who merely are waiting to attack. Ruthless and rather hot-headed, the feelings of sympathy for the 'enemy' was beaten out of him, and any word of his twins being bullied was met with rather brutal bullying to the one responsible, wasn't hesitant to get his fists bloody or brandish knives in order to do that, eventually it grew beyond just kids bullying his kid siblings and went to attacking people who he felt was being jerks to others in the school he was at as well.
Although it would be wrong to say he was like that, all the time. While he no longer had much of a good relationship with his father due to the whole going-behind-his-back thing, the rest of his family he was always particularly compassionate for. He tried his best (however little that is in his given state of mind) to go through school, and whenever his siblings need help with something, he's the first one to step up to help out...even if he's not good at particular subjects they need help on. The same goes with his mother, often giving her a hand without much question, and of course he felt he owed his Uncle as his proverbial mentor, so whatever he wanted him to go out and do for him, even if it was considered 'questionable', he'd do in a heartbeat. Of course, they had a tendency to irritate him one way or another, but he never really acted upon that frustration, letting the angst be kept inside until he could let it out on something - like exercising - or someone, to ventilate. Sometimes, he even went after friends who were doing anything that was particularly bad, which looked to others like he was asserting dominance as an Alpha Male in a group of delinquents like him.
While he had an utter love for meat and general protein, something encouraged by his Uncle to help with his exercise among other healthy things to keep the body in shape, a friend he met during his delinquent days essentially gave him something of a sweet tooth for the less healthy but more flavorful things in life. In addition, other than his exercising, he showed him how to skate and inspired him to give art a chance....He was and still is not particularly good with either of these.
After the incident, however, it was as if his mindset, all that he was before just...shattered like broken glass. He was locked in his room for days nearly put into a state of absolute despondence, the event playing over and over again in his head, without stop. He had to put himself into focusing on something, anything else, just to let to drown out the damned thoughts from his head.
Which leads to how he is nowadays, a complete turn around from how he was back then. He was calm and silent for the most part from the first day he came back into school to the present day, never really interacting with other people, and apologizing to the people he did mess with back then. The same Tyler Blackmore who was beating down other people for their bullying of others, was now the bullied one, practically allowing others to mess with him, to fight with him. ...Actually, fight isn't the word for it, cause no matter how much they beaten him to the ground, he never fought back. He would groan in pain after the fact, let it run its course, then walk away with a black eye and some blood dripping down as if nothing ever happened. Fortunately, all the exercise he was forced into gave him a bit more endurance compared to others.
The brute that cursed like a sailor and acted rude to everyone but his family was now a creature of politeness and kindness. Quick to be the selfless one and throw on a smile to everyone he met. The man who dyed his hair white as a way to stand out, darkened his hair to better fit back in. The same delinquent who was all about the dark ragged attire that barely met the dress code was now dressed neat and tidy in bright colors. Whenever he's asked about it, he simply states that he "was told he looked good in lighter stuff" and never quite clarifies the why. His school life changed for the better as well, as he put more focus into his studies than he ever did, going beyond his former best which allowed access to Thames' Edge eventually. He decided on Psychology and philosophy as two of his courses, for "personal reasons" as he puts it, and the only reason he also has PE was at his father's insistence, since Tyler was also now barely ever exercising anymore.
Speaking of which, in terms of his family life, his relationship with his mother was relatively the same, but now the relationship between his father and his uncle is almost completely reversed. Now he has good relations with his father, while his Uncle is the one he has a lukewarm and rather unstable relationship with. He'd never go as far as cussing him out in anger, something very unusual for him compared to back then, but he'd barely give his uncle any small talk, and tries to leave the area as much as he can. While his father and him are now getting along well enough for people to forget that his Dad almost disowned him for his past personality.
Most noteworthy, however, was that this person who used violence like it was a part of his religion became an extremely pacifistic man. He is always trying to stop fighting peacefully, even if it means getting socked in the face himself, always keeping himself from any kind of violence, steering clear as if he's outright afraid of it. Any threats to his own life he would just ignore, any threats to his family he'd report to authorities. Someone who was once considered an Alpha dog was now labeled a coward.
However, not everything was all sunshine and rainbows, despite his every attempt at it looking like that. Whatever caused the boy to change caused his very mindset to become heavily distorted, to a point where his inner self - all of the inner aggression and hot-headedness he had in the past, amplified and exaggerated - has become unstable as if trying to break free, and it has indeed effected his mental health. Mentioning his Brother or his sister to him was a trigger of sorts something that his former friends have done at first and almost led to a spontaneous relapse into violence before Tyler stops himself from going too far. Even without that, sometimes - not all the time, but sometimes - whenever he's around people, strangers especially, his mind's eye has flashed him with visions of them attacking him, or him attacking them, in more lethal ways than he's used to. He of course went to doctors about this, but nothing they could advise seemed to get the hallucinations out of his head, and he didn't want to make his parents worry themselves to death by taking extreme measures of fixing it, so instead he hides that part of himself, until he can one day find a way to make it stop.
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you needn't fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
That actual persona seems to be a rather large humanoid mass of infernal flames, surrounded by what appears to be clay armor, protruding outward like spikes or stalagmites coming from them and a helmet that appears to also protrude from the top like a crown, his feet completely covered in clay stuck to a platform also made of clay, and a giant golden ring with a fiery design - a symbol of the sun - floating behind him. However, Tyler himself is completely covered in a clay cocoon at ground level, producing spire connecting it to Sun Tzu's platform, which extends it upward like a tower or an antenna. Inside the Clay Cocoon is a dimensional space of his own, (Akin to Necronomicon's dimensional space in Persona 5.) where he sees through Sun Tzu's eyes and is able to move all but Sun Tzu's feet with his own body.
Symbolism As the supposed and legendary author of the Art of War, Sun Tzu was believed to be a master general and tactician, employing tactics that go beyond the typical nature of battlefield combat, and employing the many detailed assets of an army, believing supreme excellence is "breaking the enemy resistance without fighting". Tyler was a proverbial soldier in a modern war of thugs, and knows the inner workings of street warfare, but preferring to never actually step into a battlefield and witness the horrors of violence again if he could help it, preferring instead to find ways of assisting his friends and allies from outside the battlefield using the expertise he's learned from his experience in his proverbial war.
"Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence. Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting."
Skill Analysis and Navigation Contrary to its looks, Sun Tzu is a Navigator and Analysis Persona, he himself serving as a humanoid antenna for Tyler himself. When extended at a high enough vantage point, The Cocoon works like a giant monitor encircling Tyler, through which he can see multiple happenings around him at once, and able to zoom in on multiple battles at once, and analyzing multiple enemies at a time within range. Moreover, he able to use his position to mark his monitor, and communicate with everyone, relaying strategies without much problem. Later on, he will be able to use the ring around his back to assist his allies indirectly, via buffs and shields. In addition, he has no weaknesses of any kind. However, The drawback is - again, contrary to how he looks - his persona is by no means offensive or capable of completely defending itself. It cannot fight, and has no strengths of its own.
Physically Fit above Standards and Analytical Intellect Less to do with his Persona, and more to do with his own personal skills. His training and exercises when he was young were enough to make him more than capable of fighting with his body. While it has become past its prime after the incident, his PE classes has helped to still keep him in shape. Additionally, he has an eye for detail and heightened sense of perception, something he learned as a by-product of trying to get the bad thoughts out of his head during the worst days of his life; anything he could focus on instead, he did. This has given him an analytical and even an amateurish deductive mindset, albeit one limited to the normal restrictions of eyesight.
Equipment Nothing; After what he's been through, he'd rather not pick up a weapon ever again. As the Navigator in the side-lines, he feels he has no need to do so, anyways. If, by some unexpected circumstance he hypothetically needed to defend himself, however, he has learned Mixed Martial Arts when he was young as a part of his "training", and should he ever break his own oath - for some ungodly reason - he knows quite well how to wield a knife and multiple guns, albeit through simulated training with models and his Uncle's methods of simulating the actual effects. His uncle also taught him how to be improvising in the way he uses these weapons.
---------------------------------------------
Biography Tyler Blackmore was the firstborn child of Samuel Blackmore, a Veteran of the British military who was honorably discharged from service, and Patricia Blackmore, a Nurse at a Hospital in the Camden Borough of London. The first few years of his life was relatively normal without much going on.
This changed at the age of five, when his mother gave birth to twins, Nate and Kate Blackmore, whom his father drilled into him to be the respectable big brother to watch over them. This sort of responsibility was something that excited the little boy; before then he was always reading comic books about superheroes, and saw himself with the potential to become one himself, watching over two little siblings as their hero. He wanted to be the best big brother he possibly could be for them, and striven to be that.
At first, the babies that were born and being taken care of were something of a natural annoyance, they cried constantly, they kept the attention of the parents on them, and that's not even getting into the kind of trouble they got into at around two years old when they started going into his room and wrecking his stuff. However, he pushed himself through it, his father's order ringing in his ear. Eventually, they got passed the worst part, and were raised well enough by both of their parents. A combination of Samuel's military discipline and Patricia's caring nature as a nurse did wonders for the three of them in that respect. Kate grew into a kindly and mature little girl, while Nate, while somewhat bratty and a smart-ass, was a fun and social kid to be around. It wasn't exactly what one would consider a perfect family by a long shot, but they were a happy one, and Tyler couldn't ask for much more than that.
One day however, when Tyler was about eleven, he got himself bullied in school, something that continued on and off again throughout the school year, not just him either, it seems this particular bully was striking at anyone who couldn't fight back at the time. It was around that point that a thought crossed his mind that the same thing could very well happen to the twins as well, and they probably aren't capable of protecting themselves.
That's when another thought crossed his mind, if he could make himself to get stronger for them, he would be able to take down anyone who could mess with them. Who better to ask for this than his military father? Family friends of the couple often told stories about their father's career, pointing out all these amazing things that he and his brother was said to have done in the past in the name of queen and country. He admired the heroes of his comic book, and in his eyes, his father was just as much one.
However, his father refused Tyler's request, practically outright. When asked why, he simply said that he did not want Tyler to follow in his footsteps, that he wanted him to find his own purpose in life away from the life Samuel had to live, and that he should let Nate and Kate fight their own battles in regards of the bullying. Violence was never going to be the answer to this dilemma, nor should it ever be.
Needless to say, they got into a fight about it, which resulted in his father yelling at him, ordering him to stop thinking about this whole bullying thing, ending the conversation then and there. Needless to say, Tyler was very upset at this. The very father he looked up to claiming not to ever be like him? It didn't make any sense in his mind. However, he did have one other angle he could try.
Later on after school, he didn't go home, but instead walked somewhere else in the city of Cambridge, the House of Samuel's older brother, and the trio's estranged Uncle, Hugo Blackmore. Hugo and Samuel were not just blood brothers, but brothers in arms as well, both of them joined the military, and while the family friends were a bit more hesitant talking about Hugo for some reason, they did claim he did things just as important as Samuel's accomplishments...the details of which they never explained like they did with Samuel. Plus, Hugo was always very sweet and energetic to the kids when the family get-togethers happen. Sure he and Samuel hardly spoken a word to each other in all his years of living, but that could mean anything.
Knowing full well he was going behind his father's back, he turned to the other discharged veteran of war, and made the same request he asked Samuel. At first, Hugo was starting to make the same kind of claims that Samuel did, that violence probably isn't the best answer, that Samuel likely doesn't want him to be a soldier or at least go through soldier training for something like bullies, etc. But the conversation ended differently, Hugo simply asked if Tyler was absolutely sure he wanted to go down this path. The boy nodded in acceptance, and Hugo stated his one condition on the matter: Nate and Kate need to take part in this training as well. While he admires Tyler's resolve to protect them, they probably should be able to fight their own battles as well, and pointed out that it's always nice to have some comrades by their side when the going gets tough. Tyler was hesitant, but Hugo's words convinced him that maybe it was the right thing to do.
Thus the training began, almost immediately. Tyler took his brother and sister after school to Hugo's house almost every day, explaining to the parents that he was taking them to a friends house after school to help study up for the year; not necessarily a lie, seeing as he's going to a family member's house and they are technically studying up.
However, Tyler's training under Hugo was a bit more...Aggressive than he first thought. The man had a bunch of model guns and plastic weaponry in his basement for the purpose of keeping his own training alive while avoiding the whole "guns-are-illegal" problem that they'd normally have. They weren't as heavy, and they couldn't actually fire save for some air-soft pellets, so Tyler had to make due with Hugo "simulating" the real deal. Whenever he fired a model pistol, Hugo would give a light punch to his shoulder to "simulate" the recoil, the more Tyler didn't hold the gun right, the harder the punch to his shoulder. He even placed small weights on the weapons to simulate the actual weights of the real deal.
As it turned out, Hugo did indeed have exceptional talent and accomplishments during his stay in the military like Samuel. However, unlike Samuel, it turned out Hugo was a bit of an extremist in his methods. When time came for war, he didn't hesitate slaughtering anyone he felt was an enemy whether they were actual terrorists or civilians. Samuel personally hauled him in to be court marshaled after a mission gone wrong that he used him over, but was given an honorable discharge regardless due to some "favors" he had with the government. It seems the two brothers weren't on speaking terms since, but he kept up appearances as a matter of principle.
Thus in his aggressive teachings, Hugo essentially hammered into Tyler's head that everyone who wasn't with him was against him, and that people who are with him, he shouldn't be afraid to use to his advantage when the going gets tough. He was less strict to Nate and Kate, but the only reason for that was their age and their somewhat disinterested prospects in the manner of war. But all of them were put through physical exercises, while Tyler in particular was also put through utility and weapon exercises, using plastic weapons and model guns.
Combine this with Tyler just about hitting the puberty age, and by the time Hugo was done with him, Tyler was an angsty kid with a hot temper and an overprotective nature about his siblings. Samuel found out later on that the three was with Hugo for all those days and immediately called Tyler out on it as soon as he could. Tyler, who was sporting a White hair-do and some dark clothes - the former being at Hugo's assistance, something about "blending in with the fog", he didn't completely understood it but felt it's probably a good reason somehow - was immediately met with angry yelling, followed by Samuel trying to explain to him what Hugo did in the past in his frustration. But this time he wasn't having it, fully convinced his Uncle, his mentor, was meaning well, started fighting with his father verbally. Needless to say, it was a stalemate, with Tyler heading to his room and prepping what Hugo gave him, a plastic knife, for 'practical' use should it come to it. Samuel was tempted to kick the boy out for his betrayal, but was convinced not to by Patricia, claiming he'll "eventually learn".
Things became more and more awkward around the house, but even with that parental issues in mind, Tyler still tried to be a good big brother to his twin siblings. Within that good intention, paved the way to the beginning of his dark path to delinquency.
At first, He only did what he was set out to do: Anyone who so much as looked at Nate and Kate funny, regardless of age or gender, was dragged away and given a good punch before walking by, though the pressure of that punch certainly varied. But as time went by, he slowly started spreading out his violence elsewhere. Anyone who decided to bully him, was getting beaten aggressively, anybody who decided to bully others, beaten, anybody who stole from someone, beaten. Eventually he even started to grow a posse of other delinquents in town, and if they ever did something bad and undeserving to someone else, they too were beaten. He was seen and infamously renown as an alpha male delinquent who had the right reasons, but went about it all the wrong ways. As time went by, he continued his training with his Uncle Hugo, still dragging the other two to at least do physical exercises, until Samuel put a stop to that completely.
Even so, Tyler wasn't trying to be a delinquent simply out of a want for chaos or rule-breaking. He was a vigilante, or at least saw himself as such, a hero. and so felt he still had to have some sort of a good reputation kept as Nate and Kate's role models. Hence, even though he wasn't a particularly excellent student, he was still trying his best in school regardless, and fortunately for him. Anyone who was dumb enough to mock him for that: Found after school and beaten.
It was like this for a while, a good year or two in fact. ...Then at 16, something happened that changed his life yet again, this time with an even worse impact.
He doesn't actually remember the details of that day, every time he tries to remember it, it only ends with a searing pain in his head. The doctors considered it as a mental defense system put in place, the mind essentially blocking out the main driving force of trauma.
All he remembers is this: On March 20th, 3 years from present day, Tyler received a tip from Uncle Hugo about his twin siblings. According to him, They've been constantly meeting with someone in the back of an alleyway near their school, evidently extorting them for their own personal gain. Why they didn't talk about this with Tyler he had no idea, he only guessed it could be some kind of blackmail thing, that even if they did tell him, they'd probably be lying for their own sake. Looking back, it didn't make much sense that they'd do that, knowing he'd beat up anyone foolish enough to do such a thing, but he notice them always asking their father for some pounds, but he figured it was just some extra lunch money. Even so, it was strange, and whenever he asked about it Nate always said that it was nothing to worry about.
As he made it to the back alley in question, sure enough there the guy was, with Nate and Kate evidently conversing with him. He was definitely a grown adult, talking with kids in a back alleyway, and he did look rather...suspicious. To top it off, there Nate was, giving the man some pounds. Concluding that that settled his suspicions of what was going on, he made his presence known to his siblings and the man they were conversing with. He remembered that the man apparently brandished a knife when Tyler got near him and so Tyler in turn brandished his own knife, (albeit plastic) right back.
The rest was a complete blank, a space of time that just wasn't there anymore, the closest thing he could remember is screams and Nate saying something, but that something was inaudible. The last thing he remembers is he himself in a hospital bed, His parents at his side. According to them, all of the people involved were injured, him included, and were sent to the hospital. When asked about Nate and Kate, the two looked at each other, and then back at him. It seems Nate and Kate were caught in the crossfire of their little knife fight. They were cut pretty badly, and so they're currently in intensive care and not allowed visitors.
This was the straw that broke Tyler. He vowed to protect Nate and Kate and now they're in bad condition. Even though he was there, he couldn't stop it. After all this time of being a brute tough guy, the waterworks came out and did so like a flood, his parents hugging him as he did.
After that, for a while, he became utterly despondent in his room, his mind trying to play that scene over, and over, and over again. He just couldn't bear the possibility that he may have been involved in their current position, even with a plastic knife in hand. His eyes just darted around the room, looking for something - anything - to drown the thoughts in his head.
To snap him out of it, Samuel gave him a pep-talk followed by showing a letter to him from Nate and Kate, basically saying that they recently got out of the ICU and into a normal hospital room, but still can't leave the hospital yet, also thanking him for helping them with that person. The writing was a bit off from how she usually writes, but considering how bad their injuries were, that wasn't much of a surprise.
After that, there was a slow but steady recovery from his despondent state. He began to realize that his Father was right all along, that violence wasn't the answer. If he didn't keep reacting with violence like he did, Nate and Kate would still be there with them. As such, he started a process just as slow, if not more so, to completely change himself. He became focused on being pacifistic, being able to end brawls without fighting, and focused more on his studies than anything else. He stopped wearing the dark clothes he wore in the past and started wearing bright colors instead, remembering how Kate commented how she thought he'd look better in them a long while ago. It was such a success, that he managed to get into Thames' Edge University, keeping a calm, gentle smile on his face.
But deep down, even after moving into Thames' dorms, the incident took a heavy toll on his mind and heart, completely distorting both as a result. Even after giving up on being a soldier, a hero, he still hears Hugo's words echoing in his head, and every time he sees someone walking by or sitting next to him, his mind drifted to thoughts of violence, violence against himself, and violence towards them. If anyone so much as mentions Nate or Kate, or even if he has a brother or a sister, the violent tendencies start to re-surge, and it takes effort to push them back down again. He knows he can't keep being like this, but it's proven impossible to do it alone, and a Psychiatrist didn't seem to help much either.
Cut to the present day, it is now his second year at Thames' Edge. One way or another, he's resolved himself to try and fix these feelings and urges in his heart.
And he will, if it's the last thing he does.
Education Psychology- This was less for the sake of interest and more a call for help after the incident. Tyler recognize that there was something wrong with him due to his distorted mindset, and he figured that by teaching himself Psychology, maybe he could save his parents some trouble and money by avoiding the constant therapist visits. Fortunately, once he gains his Persona, this knowledge would prove most useful in the Metaverse as a navigator persona-user.
Philosophy- Ever since the Incident, Tyler has striven to make better changes to his lifestyle, to be as peaceful and against his former outbursts of violence as possible. He garnered an interest in Philosophy in order to learn of the many outlooks on life that he could take inspiration from to make his own even better.
Physical Education- Not necessarily by choice, but by his father's insistance. Tyler stopped doing his exercises after the Incident and it got his father worried. Even if he did not approve of Tyler's training, he acknowledge that it caused him to gain a healthy lifestyle...physical, rather than mental, and he just stopped doing that afterwards. As such, when he was accepted into Thames' Edge University, his father made him take PE so that he could get his body back together.
Affiliations Nathaniel "Nate" Blackmore & Kathryn "Kate" Blackmore- Tyler's younger brother and younger sister respectively. They were also trained by their uncle at Hugo's insistence in order to help defend themselves from bullies and potentially find a place in the UK military just as he and their father did. During the dark delinquent days, they were everything to him, they were the reason he struggled through the harsh training, and they were the thing he strove to protect. They were his purpose in life. When the incident happened, which greatly involved them, it was enough to make Tyler make a complete 180 on his life.
Samuel and Patricia Blackmore- Tyler's, Nate's, and Kate's parents. One being a former veteran of British military like his brother, the other being a nurse at a hospital in London. While Patricia didn't object to letting his father teach him how to defend himself in such a cruel world, Samuel refused to give his children that training, insisting they do anything but being a soldier. Although they were not just brothers by blood, but brothers in arms as well, Samuel seems to have a particularly hostile relationship towards his brother, Hugo, and wanted to keep his children as far away from him as possible. But then Tyler had to go behind his back and get trained by Hugo anyways, and look what became of him: A Delinquent attacking anyone who so much as look at Nate and Kate funny, just the kind of thing he feared would happen, as he knew all too well the philosophy of his older brother. The only reason he didn't outright disown Tyler for everything was at his wife's insistence. When the incident happened, The two parents disowned Hugo instead and looked after Tyler, his heart utterly wrecked from it all. They were devastated by what happened to Nate and Kate, but did not hold it against Tyler, especially when he explained what he saw happened to them. His father in particular became more attentive of his son's life, wanting him to stay out of the violence like he has, but also wanting to keep him healthy as he was before, which led him to forcing Tyler to take PE.
Hugo Blackmore- Tyler's, Nate's, and Kate's, Uncle and "Commanding Officer". Samuel Blackmore's elder brother, and a former war-veteran. Due to his father's refusal to train him, he turned to Uncle Hugo to train him behind his back. He feels that his brother, their father, was being a coward for not wanting to teach them the ways of combat, if only for self-defense, and so when Tyler wanted to do so anyways, he couldn't have been happier to teach him, with the condition that his twin siblings join in as well. He was a harsh, brutal teacher to Tyler, but Tyler was grateful for all he's done for him. Although Tyler had idolized him, and still claims to admire him for what he was and what he's done, his relationship with him is no longer as simple as that due to the incident.
At the beginning, Tyler has no relationships with other students of his class or his school for that matter, and prefers it that way.
Appearance Leo is a narrow-shouldered and unimposing boy with a lithe frame and below-average musculature. His dirty blonde hair is tussled into a deliberate bedhead in all but the most formal of occasions and he usually has a blank, innocent look on his face, as if completely unbothered by his surroundings at all times. Trying to call his attention to something will typically elicit a futile squint on his part, and as such he typically adopts a pair of rectangular-framed glasses while in class or when painting, though they're strictly absent in most other contexts. He dresses in expensive, but simplistic clothing, preferring plain colors and quality fabrics to anything explicitly flashy. His attire isn't very formal outside the relevant occasions, favoring mundane long-sleeved T-shirts or even tracksuits despite him being far from athletically active.
Height 5'10"
Personality Leo generally maintains a sunny and affable demeanor to those around him, with an infectious excitability about his hobby - namely painting - that he tries to spread to anyone who will listen; willing or otherwise. He has a particular fondness for painting sunsets, but he's constantly hoping for new muses to catch his attention, and he has no problem pestering people that he's formed even the bare minimum of a relationship with to help him seek them out. Ironically, he often misses these scenic vistas he'd otherwise enjoy painting by sheer lack of attention. He's sociable and friendly, though it's usually evident that he wants himself and his interests to be at the forefront of the discussion at all times, and extended conversation can quickly reveal traces of typical upper-class personality flaws and general obliviousness to how the world works. Likewise, this naiveté can make him come off as very inattentive or careless, especially when coupled with his tendency to be astoundingly unobservant of his surroundings. Unless he's actively focusing on or interested in something, it may as well not even exist to Leo; which is at least partially a consequence of him being fairly nearsighted yet rarely deigning to wear glasses.
Underneath all the layers of optimism he outwardly portrays, Leo is a deeply torn individual, caught between the expectations of his father that he doesn't find appealing and hobbies that he's been taught to consider frivolous as much as he does interesting. He's unwilling or unable to accomplish all that his father asks of him, and he selfishly refuses to compromise or deal with his issues, instead simply ignoring them in false hope they'll just go away in the end with no effort on his part.

Arcana The Sun
Skill Fire, Nuclear
Equipment Renaissance Era Saber - You know what they say, 'When in Rome...' SIG Sauer P220 Pistol - Standard sidearm of the Swiss Army and a symbol of yet another obligation Leo is avoiding.
Education Second Year Finance Major
Biography As the sole heir of a wealthy Swiss financier, Leo lived a fairly privileged childhood. He grew up in an upper class area in northern Switzerland, attending prestigious schools for almost the entirety of his educational career. Despite this, typical academic pursuits didn't interest him. His father owned a modest art collection, an eccentricity the man cultivated as a status symbol he could subtly boast about, and it had always captivated young Leo. When he was eight, his family took a vacation to Rome, which Leo found even more fascinating than the oil paintings hanging around his house. Every grand mural and impressive work of sculpture was a talent he hoped to match. He wanted to be a painter like all the famous Renaissance people and artists of antiquity. When he got home, it took little time before Leo was signed up for art classes and practicing regularly. His parents were about as supportive of the interest as any parent is in their child's passing fancy, though his father continued to dismiss Leo's hobby as a pointless diversion no matter how committed or interested he was in it.
It was made very clear he'd be expected to inherit the family fortune and that business schooling should be his primary concern, which initially didn't bother Leo in the slightest. After all, he could certainly maintain a mere hobby alongside cultivating his family's wealth. Though, as he grew older, he became less and less enchanted with the idea. Obligations of how to behave, who to associate with, what he needed to do with his life, not to mention a wife and kids; it was stifling, and yet Leo had no alternative. Art wasn't exactly a lucrative career path, and he could only skirt by on his inheritance for so long. After deliberating on what he really wanted for so long, it eventually grew to the point where he didn't want to do anything. Everything in his life thus far had been handed to him on a silver platter, and the notion of having to put genuine effort toward something he didn't want to do offended his spoiled sensibilities. Thus, he chose to selfishly cling to an illusion of always getting everything he wanted.
To that end, he simply chose to put as much distance between himself and his problems as he could in hopes he could ignore them forever. Outside the country, his parents wouldn't be as overbearing, no one would be hawkishly watching his decisions, and nobody would be trying to conscript him into the Swiss Army. Leo applied to foreign universities, knowing his father would fund it regardless as long as he was studying in a field he approved of, and was eventually accepted by Thames' Edge. In his first year, Leo came to embody the essence of 'ignorance is bliss'. He was never a very perceptive boy when he wasn't trying to paint something, and it was only a short leap from there to shutting out anything he didn't want to hear. Problems, people; he wanted nothing to do with anything that threatened his optimistic delusions. As far as Leo was concerned, he was perfectly content skating by as an average student and gaining cheap validation from Twitter comments about his posted art.
Affiliations Berhtram Gremminger - Leo's father, a wealthy Swiss businessman from a line of old money. While he does have very strong ideas about how his son should conduct himself, he's not truly as uncompromising and cold as Leo might describe him as and merely wants the best for the boy. He sees steering Leo into a career in finance as the easiest and best life he could provide for his son, as he'd have a comfortable job at Berhtram's firm and be more than prepared to inherit the company.
Anna Gremminger - Leo's mother, an upper class woman from the canton of Schwyz, was more engaged in Leo's life than his busy and somewhat distant father, as Berhtram was easily rich enough to allow her to not work a day in her life after they married. As such, she spent her days at home watching little Leo's art projects and encouraging him as any good mother would do, though she still ultimately sides with his father on matters of Leo's prospective career path.
Appearance: Felix stands at 4'11, and has a lithe build. The main phrase people think when they see him is Fox, as his features are quite vulpine. This isn't helped by Felix deliberately growing his red hair so that it looks like he has fox ears, and that his ears are covered by the bangs. His eyes are amber coloured, though it's rare to see them as his eyes are normally slit in a vulpine way. For everyday wear he's usually outfitted in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with some kind of nerd logo on it, along with a pair of trainers. When in the Shadow World, his outfit changes to a long sleeved grey tunic, black trousers, and green boots, covered by a green sircoat with bronze trim. On the back of the sircoat is a grinning fox head in bronze.
Personality: The best way to describe Felix is a workaholic without work. His brain thrives on solving problems and challenging himself, but unfortunately his singleminded dedication to those things causes him to burn through them quicker than Sonic with a chili dog. As such this often leaves him in a bitter mood, and makes him pretty snarky to those around him. While not a sociopath, he does have a poor grasp of emotions and how to actually deal with them. He's tried to understand, even taking an A level in psychology to try and gain more knowledge, but people are a closed book to him. If someone does manage to actually befriend Felix, he is possessive of them. He won't stifle their freedom, but of anyone crosses them he will put his considerable intellect to destroying them.
Education Clinically Proven to not be a Sociopath Felix obtained A-Levels in History, Mathematics, Psychology, Philosophy, and Physics, passing with distinction. Is a black-belt in Taekwondo He is currently studying Archeology at the University
Likes: Video Games, Tabletop Games, Pizza
Dislikes: Needles, Boredom
Arcana Representation: Magician
Affiliations: Raphael Phobos: the only person who can actually get along with Felix. Currently studying medicine at Oxford. Has a teeny tiny bit of an anger management issue. Odin Stone: Felix's maternal uncle and guardian. Works as a pub landlord at the King's Back. Maria Arachnee: Felix's psychiatrist.
Relationships None (for now...)
Backstory: Born in the town of Llychbaen in Ireland, Felix was orphaned at the age of six. His family was driving home from the cinema when they got hit by a truck. Felix only survived as he was in the back seat. According to his psychiatrist, this is probably the root of his muted empathy.
He was placed into the care of his mother's brother, Odin Stone, who worked at a pub in London named the King's Back. Dating back to 1660, the old pub was named as a nod to the monarchy restoration, and the sign has a picture of a king facing away. While Odin tried, he wasn't particularly a good parent, being a few years too young to have kids. It didn't help that post the accident Felix had developed a need to keep his brain working. At first it was a method to stop remembering the accident, but the rush of challenging the limits of intelligence was intoxicating to the young boy. It wasn't until he was eleven that the problem with this mindset began to show up. When he didn't have something to latch on to, he became irritable and depressed, all that mental activity with nothing to latch on to.
Fortunately he met Raphael around this time. The two literally hit it off as Felix was at peak withdrawal, and Raph wasn't in the mood for his snarky bullshit. Raph kicked his arse as Felix hadn't started Taekwondo yet, but the two found sort of kindred spirits in the other. They were both kids with issues that their peers couldn't understand.
Life passed quickly after that. Felix continued to wander aimlessly through life, merely moving between one challenge and the next. He signed up for archaeology at university on a whim, though the idea of travelling around excavating history did appeal to the youth, if only because new countries meant new challenges.
Reynard the Fox
Description of persona: Reynard is a character dating back near a millennia. A trickster spirit, and the protagonist of a number of stories where his wit got him both into and out of many situations. Said stories were actually so popular in their day that it changed the French for fox from 'Goupil' to 'Renard'. Due to the prevelance of Kitsune in the collective consciousness, in no small part due to an anime that shall remain nameless, Reynard has been changed to fit the more fantastical creatures, granting him more of a mystical nature.
Abilities: Grants the ability to weave illusions to confuse and manipulate opponents Can deal Curse damage which grants the affliction Marked for Death increasing the damage others do to the target. Resistance to Mental Effects
Alina is not an especially intimidating figure. She is short even for an adult woman, with a very delicate frame and rather pale skin, accompanied by bright jade eyes and black hair running down past her shoulders. The impression is furthered by a slight slouch, and a general lack of life to her expression in most situations; it is as though she is, not strictly attempting to avoid notice, but rather not motivated to make herself noticed. Her outfits, usually sharing a monochromatic and/or washed-out tone, only heighten this impression. Her appearance is mostly the same in the World of Fog as in the material world. The main difference is that her hair grows longer, down to the backs of her knees, and seemingly shimmers with a deep blue iridescence when it moves.
Height 5' (152 cm)
Personality Alina is a relatively quiet person. She keeps to herself, she does her work, and she socialises as necessary. It is, however, hard to suggest she has any true friends - she's an introvert, and not inclined to large gatherings, or even small gatherings realistically speaking. She does, of course, have her interests, but they are largely personal - reading, video games, playing the guitar, studying European history, that sort of thing. As it happens, her true passions are history, and especially music; it is something she has dreamed of mastering for years, taking her talents to the world with her expert string skills and vocal talent! What a way to live! But this is not what she is doing. Part of her feels she cannot do so - that she would just fail, that she's not good enough to become famous in that way, and she'll never succeed if that's the path she chooses. Even so, she enjoys it far more than what she's taken as her course in university, but in a way finds herself trapped by that, that she has to follow that path now that she's taken that course. That she has no choice, and no control, a defining feature of her life it seems - and a highly depressing one, at that. This negativity is exemplified by her Shadow: a glorious, fabulous reflection of who she wants to be, constantly telling her that she can't be that person. She has to go the way she's been told. She's worthless if she doesn't, and yet she's less than worthless if she does. She was born without control, she'll die without control. She is but a cog, and cogs cannot escape the machine of their life's course.
King Leir of Britain is said to have portioned land to his two eldest daughters, who fawned over him, and left his youngest with nothing despite her being the favourite, as she did not pay him the flattery of her older siblings. The husbands of his eldest promptly took his remaining land from him by force, and his two elder daughters repeatedly cut down his knightly retinue when begged for help. Left with one, he fled to France, but managed to send word to his youngest daughter, who ensured he was properly clothed and outfitted with a large retinue of knights. He received audience with France's king, who promptly declared him regent of France, with the Frankish nobility vowing to restore him to his throne; he, his youngest daughter, and her husband ultimately succeeded in restoring his power, and he ruled for three more years before his death. Truly, Leir of Britain became a pawn of Fortune late in his life, to experience such wild swings of luck.
Skill Leir of Britain primarily makes use of the element of Wind, frequently using either physical blade strikes or razor wind slashes to attack with. Less evidently, he can also briefly manifest a retinue of knights from the wind to send at his foes... though how many he can manifest at once varies wildly.
Equipment Melee: Hasta - A type of spear with origins from before the Roman Republic, two meters in length, made of ash with an iron head. Of course, Alina's is just a recreation, but as an example of history, it's quite nifty. Ranged: Thompson submachine gun - It's a Tommy gun, specifically the M1928A1 model. With a drum magazine holding 100 rounds and 1500 RPM, it's very good at sending bullets in a rough direction. Hitting things accurately? Not so much, especially with a build like Alina's.
Patron and chief god of the Sumerian city-state of Nippur, Enlil is held to be the eldest of the Annunaki, the judges of Fate. According to Sumerian culture, he was vital to the world's creation, separating heaven and earth to make the latter habitable for humanity, and watching over mankind as a benevolent and caring father figure. At the same time, he was often described as a "raging storm" or "wild bull", was responsible for seducing the goddess Ninlil in various false guises, and even as the prime Annunaki does not control them. Lord of Fate he is; Master of Fate he is not.
Enlil, almost literally, translates from ancient Sumerian as "Lord Wind". Fitting that he commands the winds so readily, as ranged slashes, concussive blasts, and even floods and electrical storms. Like his predecessor, he too can manifest his comrades from the storm - but again, he is not the master of the Annunaki, merely its foremost member, and neither is their support guaranteed.
Education ICT and Computing, Year 2.
Biography To say Alina's life has had little control on her part is somewhat accurate. More precisely, she has rarely been given the chance to make decisions for herself - even as her older brother was given more leeway. It is likely that her grandparents had a large part in this, over-present in their children and grandchildren's life as they were: on her mother's side, Grandpa and Grandma Hadleigh were always very traditional, insisting that the kids had to do things "the good old-fashioned way", even if these were less effective than modern methods; whilst from her father's side, Grandad Oliver was somewhat soft-souled, a poor counterbalance to Granny Sanford's controlling behaviour, and a trait that ultimately affected her father's attitude too. Suffice to say, the three eldest forced their opinions on Marigold, Marcus, and ultimately Alina and Jonas a lot, the Hadleighs often contradicting the Sanfords and vice versa. It never came to physical abuse, but where Jonas, already seven by the time their influence ramped up, found he resisted their commands at every turn (subtly supported by his mother, it transpired), Alina, only two or three, turned out to be far more like her grandad - kindly in theory, easily pushed around in practice. In the end, she didn't get a say in her secondary school, the GCSEs she took, or even her sixth form education. And after all, "Those artsy-fartsy lessons don't mean anything in today's world." "You need a real technical degree to find work." "You're not skilled enough in music to play in a band." "You only have so many years, and you need to use them effectively." "Never give up on your dreams." The only positive influence she had was not enough in a tide of nay-sayers and manipulators. In the end, she got somewhat of a chance only when Edith passed away. She had been insisting on a university close to where the family lived, so they could "keep in touch". Instead, Alina chose to go to Thames' Edge University - at least an hour's drive away, if not two or more depending on traffic, and far further than her aging grandparents could reach. Even so, old habits died hard, and her mother's parents insisted she continue down a STEM course. Computing and ICT it was, then. September 2018 rolled around, and she left without so much as a word, only keeping in touch with her mother and, for a time, her grandad, until he too passed on, to far more distress on her end than her granny's demise. The year was very stressful for her. She failed to make friends, mostly kept to herself, and arguably developed some strange tastes in her relative isolation. All that time, she kept on asking herself: why am I still taking this course? She didn't enjoy computing, and she was average at best when it came to its execution. But she found she couldn't get out of it. She tormented herself, telling herself she had to - she'd never be good enough to do what she really wanted, after all. But none of it helped: she felt lost, adrift, a cog in an expansive machine spinning freely. Purposeless. She hopes this coming year will change that... but she doubts it.
Affiliations Marigold Sanford (née Hadleigh) - Mother. Marcus Sanford - Father. Jonas Sanford - Older brother, firstborn child. Nicholas and Arthricia Hadleigh - Grandparents, mother's side. Cara is a tall, voluptuous woman with an olive complexion. Her dark brown hair easily sweeps her shoulders, framing her heart shaped face and large, gray eyes. Her plump lips are usually curved into a smile, matching the typical deposition she tends to have. At this point in her life it's obvious she takes very good care of herself, having a toned and trained body ready at any time (as a few broken noses and bruises can attest to). Her typical clothing varies depending on whatever whimsy she feels, though the one consistency is a pearl pendant hanging around her neck--she is never seen without it.
On entering the World of Fog, Cara ends up in one of her typical workout outfits: a red sports bra and an orange cropped, short sleeve hoodie up top, a pair of trendy slit cross-lined yoga pants, and some laceless sneakers. She'll usually pull her hair up into a ponytail to keep it from getting too distracting, though she won't turn on her music since it's probably better to be aware of her surroundings.
Height
5'9"
Personality
Cara comes off as a very straightforward person. She has no issues offering her opinion on a matter, and is generally open minded, making her easy to talk to. She has a rather positive deposition, an optimistic view on nearly everything, and likes to look for the silver linings in even the worst situations. Having an eye for detail, she picks up on the little things, and is welcoming to whoever seeks her out. Calm and usually keeping a calm head, she is a driven woman who has taken on a lot of responsibility in a short amount of time, having learned to make difficult decisions for the good of her little family.
That being said, she does tend to lean on the blunter side of things and seems to have no end to her sarcastic quips. Whenever her temper does flare up she won't hold backThere also tends to be a certain point where people realize that she hardly opens up about herself, keeping people at arm's length. She seems to struggle with confiding in people, preferring to talk about anything or anyone else. Her family seems to be a sensitive topic, though she does at least give the bare minimum on why in that department. She has a bitter point of view regarding her own life, doing what's needed to provide for said family.
Despite devoting herself and her purity to the Lord at a young age, her father promised her hand to the Emperor. In a fit of rage and influenced by the devil, he imprisoned and tortured her, visiting her every day and asking again and again for her hand in marriage. She adamantly refused each time, and repeatedly made several attempts at her life, with divine intervention saving her three times. Finally, the emperor had her beheaded, and thus was she able to keep her vow of purity. Centuries after her death, her tomb was discovered, and upon moving an urn with her blood, they glittered and shone like diamonds. The sight convinced the church dignitaries that a new star had risen among the blessed.
Biography Born in Palma, Cara's childhood was typical, but uneventful for the most part, and in hindsight she was glad for it. She was brought up with two principals: anything worth doing was meant to be put in one hundred percent, and family was everything. The former was exemplified with her hard working parents demonstrating it nearly every day, the latter coming easily with a loving family and a slightly annoying younger sister. Still, for Cara her main focus was always on training, her passion for mixed martial arts blooming around the time she hit secondary school. Once she turned 18, she finally received her mother's reluctant approval to participate in tournaments--the only caveat would be that she'd continue her education to fall back on. Cara was convinced that MMA was her life and wanted to dedicate everything to it.
Six months ago, her priorities shifted as a car accident took not only her parents' lives but those of her aunt and uncle. To her complete shock, she was named as her cousin's guardian, and she was suddenly in charge of both her cousin and younger sister. Gone was any dream of hers, replaced with the reality that she was now responsible not just for herself but for two other people. Her nursing degree was no longer a backup, but her main focus as she prioritized both Julia and Esperanza's well being. She figured having a legitimate job was better than the inconsistent pay placing in tournaments. Of course, the rest of the family didn't make anything easier, the constant criticisms on how Cara handled everything from childcare to choosing to remain in her parents' home grating on her more than she wanted to admit. It came to a head at a family dinner when the topic of Julia's decision to continue her secondary education as far away from Spain as she could caused an explosive argument.
Deciding to get away, Cara chose to leave the country, emigrating to England. She chose London on her coach's suggestion, and once there sought out the therapist he had suggested. It felt like things seemed to stabilize for the most part, although juggling Julia and Esperanza while trying to settle into a new life at a new university was exceedingly difficult. Still, it was for family, and Cara made sure both of them were taken care of while she worked on graduating. All she needed to do was overcome this first hurdle before tackling the next.
