THE RULES OF JUMANJI

1. You will be rolling on the Discord server, using our dice bot and typing in !roll 2d6. Be sure to tag me when you do.

2. Only one person in each pair has to roll when it is that pair's turn, first person is the one who gets it.

3. I'll then be rolling to see what outcome you get and messaging you, as well as include a paragraph for the effects. You need to include the rhyme that I will be sending you in your post, and the part that I send you will go at the end of your post and is not to be included when talking about your limits for how much you need to write.

4. There might be an instance (only one I can immediately think of) where I might bump the roll for movement on the game board to be one higher or lower, but only if it comes to that. (there are story reasons as to why this would be the case)

5. Only one pair can roll the dice per round. This is so that the game doesn't end in a few rounds and you can't speed roll for it to make it go more quickly like that. However for some it might be more of 2 or 3 rounds before someone can roll again.

Once the turn order has been decided (the first full round of game play will be determining the order) I will be including it here. And if your pairing's names are bolded, that means that it is your turn or we are currently dealing with the after effects of your turn.

  • Mary and Bethany (the Jade Monkey)
  • Ed and Annie (Metallic Elephant)
  • Elizabeth and Carolina (Obsidian Crocodile) - Lost Turn/Stuck in Game
  • Guin and Pietro (Gold Lion)
  • Lance and Neil (Crystal Serpent)
  • Iris and Mira (Keratin Rhinocerous)

Remember, the only way to win and have it end is when a game piece reaches the center of the board and the winners call out Jumanji

The Jungle
Klara looked over at Carolina when she mentioned Thor, and she had a bit of a sad look on her face, "So you've met my father huh? I haven't really seen him all too often, not since he started traveling to be with his friends on Midgard, but it always was nice when he came back home. As for my uncle being a pain it depends, sometimes he isn't like that, but the problem is he is the God of Mischief, so it is in his nature to cause problems for everyone," she said, changing the subject slightly so that she wasn't talking about Thor for some strange reason.

"Also, it was more of you two who helped me, based on how things were going I was about to be cat food. As for what all I've encountered here, bats, lions, crocodiles, leeches, piranhas, the list goes on and on. There actually were mosquitoes earlier but they disappeared. And unlike my father, I actually know what a bunch of Midgardian animals are." she said as she continued trekking through the jungle, before eventually, they came upon a shelter of sorts that was fashioned from a cave in the side of a mountain, with a blanket of leaves covering the opening. "I'd offer to heal you, but well, my own powers don't seem to really be working here, they haven't since I got here," she added, but it was clear that she seemed to be hurting a little bit, as she seemed to be limping slightly and her shoulder and arm were still bleeding. "Runa? You still in here?" she called as she entered the little shelter that they had.

Location: The Danger Room
Skills: Hulk Form, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Plant Manipulation

Mary shook her head slightly as her mind started to clear and her eyes shifted colors once more to their typical green color. She wasn't sure what she should say, or what she really could say to explain to the others what the hell that had been. Of course half the time she didn't even get what was going on in her head, but she didn't really want to admit that one. Looking at the wall of fire that Iris had decided to create yet again Mary took a deep breath before addressing her regarding the fact that the spiders weren't seemingly effected by them. "Iris maybe try something else since the fire didn't seem to burn them at all."

And sounds like Mary is back to normal again and not being a psychopath, so that's nice.

Lance meanwhile was really struggling to not shift, and unfortunately for him, he seemed to lose the battle as he shifted entirely, and Iris was in the middle of his backswing and she got thrown forwards away from him, hitting the ground hard enough to likely cause a few bruises. He also seemed to be slightly in control of his actions, as he then proceeded to smash several spiders, sending their guts flying everywhere with a loud roar. He was clearly not in a very good mood and was now taking it out on the spiders clearly. At least if he was hulked out he was no longer paying much attention to the fact that there were a lot of spiders.

Mira's voice still hadn't come back to her, and she was whirling around punching at the spiders, trying to kill as many as she possibly could. She slammed her foot into the nearest one, and there was a crunch as the spider seemingly was destroyed. It was a little disgusting to her, but given that she couldn't talk at all at the moment, she couldn't exactly say anything about it, and so she held her disgust back. Mira managed to kill 5 spiders as she went, trying to keep them back still.

Ed's attempts to heal people weren't seeming to work at all. He hadn't even really gotten the chance to try and heal Lance before he had shifted and hulked out. As for his own leg injury, there seemingly wasn't any sort of healing that actually worked, and his injury remained the same. Maybe this had something to do with what Guin had said about powers maybe not working correctly?

Mary summoned vines from her plant seeds that were in their hands (they were back to their standard green and not somewhat freaky type) as she tried to bat as many of the spiders away as possible. This was not going all too well, but now she was at least glad that the whole dice endeavor was dealt with. "We either need to take out all of the bugs, or get out of here and keep playing, but whatever we decide we have to do it fairly quickly."

The spider army were charging towards them, and were trying to bite at the group, even it was somewhat difficult for them to bite the group. Unfortunately for Iris, she managed to get a few very painful spider bites on her arms in addition to her bruises from the fall. As the spiders were easily able to swarm over to her once she was on the ground. A few managed to bite at Bethany's ankles, causing a few painful injuries, and two bit at Annie. The others got a bit luckier when it came to the whole spiders things and them coming in swarms.

Well thankfully no one really seems to be going mental at the moment. Though still trying to figure out why Neil decided to tackle Lance just for rolling the dice. Pietro said to Guin mentally, before he pointed his arms towards the spider swarm, and started whirling them around rapidly, creating a cyclone as he sent a few dozen of the spiders flying backwards and away from the group. This was getting to be an interesting situation to say the least.

"Try birds or something else that eats bugs, that's the first thing I'd think of for an enemy of a spider, since it makes some sense for that one at least in my opinion," Mary said towards Annie as she kept batting the spiders away from the group.

Carolina Reed

Location: The Jungle (inside the game)
Skills: N/A

"The last time I saw your father Thor, he seemed to be down though I didnt get a chance to ask him though since we had an uninvited guest at Guin's wedding. But i'm going to guess that he's been trying to look for you or something maybe, since the way you said it you've been here for awhile now." Carolina said looking over towards Klara for a moment as she continued to follow her through the jungles she looked down at her arm it stung really badly, and blood continued to slide down her arm slightly. Carolina cringed slightly at the mentioning of the mosquitos, and started to think for a moment she said that they had disappeared. The mosquitos must have come from here then, since they randomly appeared after the first riddle.

"I'm guessing that the animals from the riddles come out from here or something whenever a riddle comes up from the game." Carolina said looking over at Elizabeth, her eyes turning towards the cave at the side of the mountain. "It's okay, we could try and find something around here maybe to tend to our injuries." Carolina said noticing Klara limping slightly and followed her into the little shelter that they had setup.

Bethany Bell

Location: Xavier's Mansion - The Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Shadow Travel

Bethany winced and yelped in pain when she felt the spiders biting at her ankles and quickly stepped away from them, she noticed that the spiders continued to swarm and there were so many of them. She quickly ran over towards the gameboard and picked it up, and ran over towards Ed, taking the dice from his hands. "There's to many, lets head to the Hangar, Pietro mind helping out with that?" Bethany asked looking over towards Mary, she was her partner after all as well and extended her hand out towards her and shadow traveled Mary out. She looked over at everyone else, she couldnt get everyone as she watched Lance Hulking out on the spiders. Bethany didnt really want to get punched by him really.

Seeing that the others were struggling she knew that she couldnt get everyone at all, Iris looked like she was having the most trouble at the moment. As much as the girl did annoy her a lot she was apart of the team as well, and then shadow traveled Iris as well, and looked over at everyone else. "I'll be right back for the rest of you guys." Bethany said as she shadow traveled herself out of the Danger Room as well, appearing next to Mary and Iris. "Are you guys okay?"

Guin Stark

Location: the Danger Room
Skills: Telepathy (Mental Link), Electronics and Computers, Engineering Design, Deduction, Perception
Guin had to bite down on the inside of her cheek, hearing Iris spout some rather lewd comments off at Mary. If she hadn't been sure before, she was positive now - Iris had no idea that the leader of the X-Men had the mental stability of Azula. "Pietro, babe, how's she know our safe word?" Guin quipped, hoping to keep the atmosphere light and not murder-y. She really didn't want to have to go and intervene between Mary and Iris, especially not when the spider convention was in town. Guin tensed up as Iris then went to try and comfort Lance. Between Mary's mental illness and Lance's baby Hulk powers, Iris was basically begging to be turned into a pancake.

"Noooooo idea Guina," Pietro responded with a bit of a laugh.

If it hadn't been for something going on with Pietro's powers, Guin would have asked if he could phase his way on through the spider-men to get the dice. She then mentally kicked herself. She was the one with actual armor on. And unless she had made some huge mistake, none of the openings in the suit were large enough for those beasts to get on in. She was the best equipped person on the team to go retrieve things. Before she could relish in feeling useful for once, though, one of the newbies of the team, Edus Penis as Guin called him, did a sweet magic trick and got the dice. "Birds, scorpions, lizards, people, the Green Goblin... Any of those'll do. But to be honest, I think the natural enemy of spiders is a wad of toilet paper or a shoe.... Or apparently baby Hulk's!"

That gave her an idea though. They were in the Danger Room, home of horrifying death traps usually overseen by Wolverine. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., get me in," she instructed her A.I.

"Something's blocking me out, boss," F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s voice chirped in Guin's ear.

Guin frowned. She thought quickly, before devising a strategy. "Alright, try again, this time I want you to try this," she said, before launching into a technical explanation. F.R.I.D.A.Y. implemented Guin's commands, only to be hit with a dead end once again. The system was designed to be impervious to hacking and knowing their luck, the Danger Room's A.I. was also blocking them out.

"You should change tactics," F.R.I.D.A.Y. advised.

"No one asked you," Guin muttered. She did listen though to her A.I., activating her lasers and blasting as many spiders as she could. She killed twenty of them with ease. "I'd like to change my answer - lasers are the natural enemy of spiders."

Neil Spellman

Location: the Danger Room
Skills: Telekinetic Combat
Neil's heart was pounding furiously, as his worst nightmare was in front of him - a 300+ pound green rage monster. He didn't want to be anywhere near Lance, he wanted to not even have to share a planet with him, all because of his fear. The Hulk was an Avenger the same way that a mindless bear could be a part of an elite military group. It was all fun and games until someone lost their head. Even Chewbacca in Star Wars at least was sentient and aware of his actions - the Hulk was just pure rage. Neil shifted away from Lance intentionally, trying to put more distance between him and his forced partner.

The spiders were a never ending tide. Bethany got a few people on out of there and his heart clenched with anger again, knowing that Carolina was still trapped inside of the game and they weren't any bit closer to getting her out of there. Elizabeth was in there as well, probably scared half to death. He had to imagine that the Jungle in Loki's game was a death sentence. The fear and anger was twisting around inside of him like snakes and it fueled his powers, as Neil made a ripping motion with his hands, executing spider after spider until he had killed fifteen in all.
Runa was seated cross legged by a small fire, the skin of some slain animal out in front of her. She had a small pouch to her side and she reached in, concentrating for a moment before plucking out three runes, placing them down on the skin from left to right. "Ăľurisaz, raidĹŤ, wunjĹŤ," she whispered. They symbolized the past, the present, and the future. She smiled ever so slightly to herself, seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. And as if cued, she heard her cousin returning. "Klara, great tidings, the Norns have blessed us. Come, look and see," she urged her, gesturing at the runes.

Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Mansion - The Danger Room
Skills: Thamaturgy: Shield

Beth took the dice, which was a little relieving to Ed. He didn't know if wanted to be the one to hold them any longer. She also shadow traveled with the board, Iris and Mary. That probably wasn't a great pair to bring with her, but it was the next two pairs who needed to roll. If the rest of the group could get to the hanger they'd be away from these dang spiders. Ed remembered vaguely in the movie the group ended up split up and all around town. They could not afford either of those for very long. It worried him that they would end up split up all over the place. It didn't help with Carolina and Elizabeth gone into the game. What would happen if their turn came up and they weren't here to roll? They had three chances to try to get them out before it came to that point.

Ed's magic was failing him. He couldn't heal himself even. He had sensed the weakness before and now it seemed even more likely. So healing was out of the question, at least for now, which wasn't great. Ed knew he was the only one able to heal people in the group. He also knew it wasn't his strength. It had been his sister's and she could have easily healed any of the injuries sustained so far without breaking a sweat. What he was good at though was creating shields.

His thaumaturgy magic was strong. And he had already proven he could play around with his shield. The force spell he had was meant to control a field not do any real damage. He hadn't been trained to hurt and kill. Mostly because growing up his family expected to fight people and they didn't believe in killing people.

Giant spiders, however, he was fine with killing. Taking his work with getting the dice a step farther he created a shield bubble around a few groups of spiders and then shrank it till they were crushed. Ten spiders down. He did it again. Fourteen more spiders down. That was twenty-four more spiders taken care of. Ed took a deep breath.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Danger Room
Skills: Pyrokinesis; Illusion Casting

The spiders kept coming, there seemed to be no end in sight and Antoinette wasn’t sure how they were going to beat this. Bethany started taking a couple of them out of the room, suggesting the hanger but she couldn’t get everyone as they were all being attacked by spiders. Antoinette got bit by two before she managed to blast ten away, using her pyrokinetic power. They died from her colourful sparks but that didn’t even make a dent in the swarm that was coming. Other than the uncomfortable swelling and pain, Antoinette was happy her pyrokinetic power worked.
Bethany disappeared with a couple people and then a few of them started killing more spiders. Neil and Ed, Guin with her lasers. And Lance, as his large green self. At least she was given some ideas to cast an illusion. Antoinette concentrated on the image of scorpions, trying to create some that would be real enough to attack the spiders. Her purple eye glowed in earnest but nothing happened. She had either strained herself too much or the spiders bites were taking their toll. At least she hoped it was that and not fear from the spiders. She wasn’t normally scared of spiders but these were rather large and they kept coming at everyone.

Iris Rivers

Location: Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills:

"Yeah, about that; my super stuff isn't exactly diverse," she replied when Mary suggested she try something other than the fire wall. Mary seemed to be back to her normal self, which was a bit jarring. It was like someone flipped a switch. She figured that the ring of fire had probably just made her flip out, which would account for her actions, but she then there were all the things Mary had said. It's easy to do violent things on instinct, but when it comes to saying things, they've got to pass through your head before they come out your mouth. Then there was the fact that the young woman made no attempt to apologize. Iris didn't dwell on it, instead focusing on the spiders coming at them, standing ready to defend Lance. "If they're immune to fire, all I've really got to fall back on is these dope moves." As if to demonstrate, she waved her arms around in a mock martial artist manner. A few seconds in, though, she was interrupted by a powerful hit sending her into the air.

"Well isn't this just - UGH! - swell," she said surprisingly nonchalantly as she sailed through the air, grunting in the middle of it as she hit the ground. She was sure she'd end up with bruises all over: some on her back from the hit itself, and some on her front from the harsh landing. She didn't blame Lance, of course. She knew that being Hulk Jr's official chill-the-fuck-out-er had its downsides. Even worse, if the giant green dude now playing the role of Clark Pest Control was anything to go by, she didn't even manage to sooth Lance before he transformed. So, with the person she was supposed to keep calm going on a rampage, and the spiders she was supposed to keep at bay with her pyrokinesis immune to fire, it didn't seem like things could get much worse. When spiders began to swarm her, nibbling at her arms, she let out a deep sigh. "I guess this is my life now. There are worse fates than being spider food." Of course, getting herself out of the situation wouldn't be too difficult. Just a little martial arts and she'd be home free. But before she got the chance, the world was enveloped by darkness. When the darkness faded, she found herself in an entirely different room. She blinked, sitting up. There in front of her stood Bethany and Mary. Her smile quickly found its way back onto her face.

"Just peachy," she said, giving Bethany a thumbs up. She then got to her feet, dusting herself off before examining her arms, poking at the spider bites. "Man, you really saved my hiney there, Beth. You know what that means, right? Life debt. I'm your responsibility now." She then shifted her gaze to Mary. "You seem all chill again. What happened to the druid dominatrix that hopped on me like a bunny in heat?" She asked, before turning her head once again, this time letting her eyes fall on the game Bethany held in her hands. "So should I roll for Mira and I, or should I wait until the band's back together?"

Elizabeth Flame

Jungle
Skills: N/A

Elizabeth was glad to hear that this girl didn't take exception to her calling out Loki, things getting awkward between the only people in this jungle would be bad, to say the least. It was odd that Klara was depowered and they weren't, but hey, she'd take it. If she had to pick between somebody else being helpless in the jungle and herself being, she'd take the former every day. Keeping her guard of as they walked, she never knew when, or if, something else was going to attack them. This place was crawling with things that would very much like to kill them, and if she could do anything about it, she wouldn't be giving them the chance.

As they entered the shelter, she let herself relax a bit. Now they were at least somewhere that danger couldn't come at from any angle. This was nice, or at least as nice as a hut in the middle of a godsforsaken jungle could be. Stepping into the cave, she gave a look at the girl around the fire, and sat across from her, taking in the warmth of the hearth. She craned her neck to look at the runes sprawled across the floor and asked, "What is it they mean, exactly? Sorry for intruding, but we met your friend out there and she invited us to stay with you. My name's Elizabeth, you're Runa, right?"

The Jungle
"How long has it been since I last saw you?" Klara couldn't help but ask as she sort of stumbled along and found a spot to sit on the ground by Runa. "I found a few other people," she explained simply to her cousin, before she looked at the runes that she had tossed and gave her a bit of a smile, "That is a good thing I think..." she said to her, before turning her attention to Carolina and Elizabeth again, "There's some makeshift bandages over there if you want to grab them," she said to them, pointing to what looked to be a makeshift chest sitting in a corner.

Glancing over at Elizabeth when she asked what the runes meant, Klara shrugged slightly, "She's been trying to get a result that might clue us in on how to get out of here. Namely, from what I can tell from the runes, the way out for us might involve you two it seems like..."

Location: The Danger Room
Skills: Hulk Form, Hand-to-Hand Combat

"Uh... Okay, let's try to get the hell out of here then," Pietro commented, and of course, the first person her grabbed was Guin, and he grabbed one more person, that person being Ed since he seemed to have more injuries then anyone else really at the moment and raced out of the room and off to the hangar.

Mira's voice still hadn't come back to her, and she continued to whirl around using her fighting skills to squash more then a few spiders. She was jumping up and whirling around, slamming her foot and her fists into spiders as the guts from the bugs started flying, and it wasn't like she was slowing down. Despite not having her powers available to her, she was just going, and ended up flipping around and taking down 20 spiders on her own. However there were still plenty, since whenever one was killed, more seemed to take their place. "We-need-to-leave," she barely managed to croak out, before coughing a lot, her words were barely audible.

Meanwhile, Lance was completely ignoring the fact that there were giant spiders on his shoulders at this point (probably a good thing for the person with arachnophobia) and was just taking out 5-10 spiders with every single punch that he slammed into the ground. Of course every time he did that there was a shockwave that fired off in all directions, knocking even more spiders away. When Guin said baby Hulks were very effective against the spiders she clearly wasn't joking, as Lance managed to actually create a barrier of sorts surrounding the group, as the circle that they were more or less in expanded a bit so that most of the spiders were no longer in it.

The spiders that were still around the group were continuing to try and attack them. There were 10 spiders alone on Lance, but their attempts to bite him didn't really seem to effect him or stop his rampage. Though the others would be able to see a few spider bites form on his shoulders, as if they actually were able to injure him. A few of the spiders tried to bite at Annie, but they weren't able to actually hit her at all, and Mira was similarly lucky when it came to being attacked by the bugs. Neil ended up getting a few bites on the ankles, but nothing incredibly serious, which was probably a good thing.

"We-need-to-move," Mira croaked out, now trying to maneuver somewhat towards the exit to the Danger Room.

Location: Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills: N/A

Mary was more then prepared to start smacking around a few spiders, when the next thing she knew, Bethany had used her powers to shadow travel both her and Iris out of the Danger Room and into the Hangar. "Not that I'm complaining about getting out of there, we should have tried to get the others out, since splitting up is a bad thing usually, but that's just my opinion... Thanks for that," she said toward Bethany, though she was more or less ignoring the obvious elephant in the room when it came to potential conversation with Iris about the things she had said when the "other one" was more or less in control.

Though right now was definitely not the time to discuss this since Iris asked if she should roll now (since they had the dice and board with them) or wait until everyone else came back. "I'd say roll now, since otherwise we might be waiting a little while, and the quicker we roll through this the quicker this all will end and the quicker we can get Elizabeth and Carolina out of that board," she said to Iris, nodding her head slightly at her before there was a gust of wind as Pietro, Guin and Ed popped up.

"So, I'm all for going back and getting everyone else here, but anyone else have any sort of suggestions regarding Lance? Since little mini Hulks are not exactly easy to move, so unless he shifts back I can't drag him back here," Pietro said instantly, looking at everyone in the room.

Guin Stark

Location: Blackbird Hangar
Skills: N/A
Guin was incredibly used to Pietro zipping her off at superhuman speeds at this point. Her armor had the added bonus of protecting her neck from whiplash, although she doubted Pietro wouldn't try his best to protect her from that effect of his speed. He was overprotective to a fault - in the House of M reality, his overprotective nature had driven Guin mad, culminating in her asking him to kill her. It hadn't exactly been their finest moment as a couple. In what had to be less than a few seconds, her surroundings had rapidly changed - she was in the hangar now for the Blackbird, rather than the Danger Room. "Is that a fat joke, babe?" Guin asked with a hint of amusement in her voice.

They had been in so many life and death situations over the past few years, she was beginning to become a little bit desensitized to them. Almost everyone survived. It was those who died that haunted her, Muscles in particular, as her heart clenched and her anxiety levels rose, the images flashing into her head again - Muscles on the ground, peppered with bullet wounds, blood oozing from the entry holes. "It is stating a fact."

Guin snorted slightly. She tried to push the gnawing anxiety into the back of her mind, in order to focus on the present moment. "Well, he's a baby Hulk. He can probably push his way on through and get here, as long as someone tells him where to go. I don't know if he'll calm down, you know him, he isn't exactly an expert at managing his temper. Unless, of course, his secret space trips were actually him and Thor learning how to meditate together with some guru."

Neil Spellman

Location: the Danger Room
Skills: Telekinetic Combat
Neil was quickly tiring. Every time he moved his hands, the muscles in his arm burned and ached. It felt like he had been doing push ups with Wolverine for ten hours. Even as he tried to lock onto one of the spiders clustered on top of Lance, each mental tug felt like a knife was sinking into his own brain. He bitterly thought to himself that he was essentially out of spell slots, without even cantrips to fall back on. He wanted to take a rest and recharge, to be able to move things with his mind again, but they didn't have any time. He tried again, only to groan and whimper slightly in pain and fatigue. On his third try, he couldn't even get the spiders to budge an inch.

How was he going to save Carolina if he felt so tired and weak? Maybe he needed to do more Danger Room sessions with Wolverine, but that wasn't helpful now. He needed to come up with something to get rid of the spiders on the mindless killing machine. He was too tired to even be annoyed at Lance for not having gotten rid of the spiders or to find some way to blame Banner for all of this. "Urgh... I don't have any first level spells slots left even..." he mumbled wearily, trying to communicate his situation to everyone.
Runa looked up at the newcomer, before she nodded slightly. She wasn't a huge fan of unknown quantities - really, unknown people. She tended to be the dictionary definition of a shy introvert, preferring the company of those she was already well acquainted with. "Aye," she confirmed to Elizabeth. She didn't bother to clarify that Klara was her blood, not just her friend. Instead, she returned her attention to the runes, pointing at each in turn. "Ăľurisaz is the giant. They hail from Jotunheim. raidĹŤ, my personal rune, means ride or journey. wunjĹŤ - joy," she replied somewhat helpfully.

Carolina started to think for a moment, she remembered that it was December 10th when Wanda created the House of M reality for everyone, and started to count it was July 2nd now and started to add it up using her fingers to count. "Wanda remade reality back in December it's July now, so if i'm right it's been seven or eight months give or take I think." Carolina answered Klara, as she eyed the little makeshift chest that was in the corner of the cave. "Thank you Klara." Carolina said as she opened it up grabbing some bandages, wincing slightly as she started to wrap it around her wound as tightly as she could.

She then made her way over towards Klara and sat down looking at the wounds that she had gotten, they looked really bad and she wasnt even sure how to really even help. "I'm sorry medicine isnt really my forte really.." Carolina said as she gave Klara the roll of bandages and looked over at the runes that Runa was playing with. She looked at Klara and Runa and then over towards Elizabeth for a moment, they were pretty much stuck until the others could roll the dice and get either a five or eight on the dice. "It might take awhile, with the really messed up version of Jumanji game that Loki created, the others have to roll the dice and land on a five or eight thats the only way we can all get out of here. Unless there is another way out of here inside the jungle, the others have to fight whatever comes out of the board as well." Carolina said.

Bethany Bell

Location: Xavier's Mansion - Blackbird Hangar -> Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Shadow Travel

Bethany looked at Iris and gave her a slight shrug, the girl did annoy her to no end sometimes, but she was a member of the team anyway and she was becoming spider food if she didnt step in. "It's fine." Bethany said as she set down the gameboard and dice as well, taking a step back looking at Mary and then Pietro who came back holding Guin. "Well shadow traveling the whole stampede took a lot out of me, kind of like you know Nico from the Percy Jackson series. But i'll go and see if I can get everyone else to get back here." Bethany said, as she closed her eyes and then she was gone from the hangar. A few seconds later she was back inside of the Danger Room the others were still fighting against the angry swarm of spiders.

"Hey, Lance when your done Hulking out on the spiders come and meet us at the Hangar." Bethany said looking at Mira, Annie, Neil and Edus as she extended her hands out and then shadow traveled everyone else out of The Danger Room and into the Hangar again. Bethany sat down and took in a few deep breaths as she looked down at her ankles they were really hurting from the spider bites. "Whoevers turn it is you can roll the dice now."

Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Mansion - The Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills:

Ed wasn't certain how to react to Pietro picking him up and zipping him from one place to another. He had been planning to make a few more of his squishing shields. There was definitely something that could be said for having real-life danger to be a teacher. He had spent most of his life training for such a situation.

"Thanks Pietro." He nodded at him. "It is Mira and Iris' turn." He turned to face Mira, "You've seemed to have thrown out your voice. Would you like me to see if my healing can do anything for that?" He offered. Ed liked to make sure everyone involved in his magic was a willing participant. Of course, there were exceptions such as murderous spiders. Ed also had a nagging worry.

He had so far been unable to heal his leg. He could explain away not being able to heal Lance because of his DNA being different enough. That would be something he'd have to learn how to work with. Healing himself should have been a lot easier and now he had tried twice with nothing to show for it. And Mira without her voice was not good, her voice was her weapon.

Iris Rivers

Location: Blackbird Hangar
Skills:

Iris' eyebrows popped up on her forehead a bit when Mary spoke, seemingly going out of her way to ignore the question that Iris had asked concerning her freak out. And it still troubled her that the usually kind girl made no attempt to apologize for the slip up. Even after she'd mentally chalked it up to Mary not wanting to think about her lapse in sanity, it still nagged at the back of her head, though it was quiet enough for her to ignore. When Pietro asked what they'd do about Lance, Iris looked over to him. She hadn't actually realized that he'd popped up, but didn't seem surprised to see he was there.

"If someone took me to the Danger Room, I could try to calm him down again. I'd need some cover, since Upsilon's fire doesn't seem to work on the creepy crawlies, and there's no certainty it'll work, so I'll leave it up to y'all to decide if it's a shit idea or not. But first," Iris began, grabbing the dice from the board. She looked up at the group, which she saw had grown to include most everyone, save for Lance, and shot a thumbs up in the direction of Mira. "Team Horny is ready to roll!" With that, Iris shook the dice in her hands, before throwing them out onto the board. When they landed on lucky number seven, Iris pumped her fist into the air a little, excitedly watching as the rhinoceros for which Team Horny was named, slid across the board. Iris leaned over the board, gazing at the riddle bubble with curiosity.

All is fair in love and war;
The heat of a jungle makes a kiss a bore

Iris' brow furrowed and her head tilted ever so slightly to the left as the words surfaced on the board. She stared at them with confusion, before raising her head to see if anything had changed. To her immediate knowledge, nothing had, so she lowered her head to instead look back at the board. She tried to pick it apart in her head, trying to figure out what it could possibly be. She came up blank. Or, rather, mostly blank. There was one possibility that came to mind. "Hey Guin? You might wanna limit you and your boy toy's PDA, because I think Team Horny just exposed the X-Men to jungle mouth herpes."

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Danger Room ---› Blackbird Hanger
Skills:

The spiders just kept coming at the group. Antoinette couldn't figure out where they were coming from but this entire game was like a giant magic trick. It was Loki after all. Lance seemed to have created some sort of barrier for them but that didn't help the spider bites most of the X-Men already had. Lance included.
Antoinette looked at Neil, seeing how defeated he looked from the spiders and not being able to vanquish them all. Antoinette had a feeling a lot of the emotion had to do with Carolina missing as well. Before Antoinette could walk over to Neil, Bethany returned and took the rest of them to the hanger. Lance was still unaccounted for but he was rather large and green at the moment. "Perhaps he will be able to break out of the Danger room." Stranger things had happened.
Antoinette walked over to Neil now and rested a hand on the side of his arm. "She is strong. We will get her back," Antoinette said confidentially. She had to have hope. This game was trying to rid them of their fight and hope but Antoinette wasn't going to let it.
The dice were rolled again and Antoinette turned to see what the outcome was. It was a seven. No Carolina yet. The riddle was interesting though and Antoinette took a moment to ponder it. She was hooked on the word jungle. "Perhaps we are about to enter the jungle as well?"

The Jungle
"...That's a really long time..." she said softly, not at all too sure what to think regarding being stuck in the jungle for so long. Suddenly, there was what sounded like a loud boom. "What was that? That has not happened before," she said instantly, before standing up and heading over to the entrance to the shelter, looking up at the sky, but nothing seemed to be there. "That was odd," Klara added, before looking back over towards the others, who would notice that she seemed to be, disappearing? It took a moment for Klara to notice what even was going on, but after a few more seconds, she did. "What's going on?" her voice said as it seemed to fade out and she disappeared entirely.

Location: The Hangar

If looks could kill, Iris would definitely be dead from the daggers that Mira was shooting her direction. The crazy weirdo annoyed her to no end and she really wanted to just knock her out cold, then at least the rest of them could get some peace and quiet. Though that likely wasn't going to end too well if she did that, and she figured that everyone else might get mad at her for attacking her own teammate (even though Mary only minutes ago had done the same thing).

"Seriously? That is your best guess as to what that riddle is?" Pietro couldn't help but say, looking over at Iris, giving her a bit of an eye roll. ]"It could mean a million different things, definitely not that though."

"If-you-can-help-me-that-would-be-appreciated," Mira managed to croak out, looking at Ed, giving him a slight smile. Her main weapon was her voice, but without that she was still a force to be reckoned with, and not someone you wanted to mess with. She was a warrior through and through, so if Ed could help her that would be fantastic, if he couldn't then there wasn't really a downside to it.

"Well, he'll catch up to us eventually, probably..." Mary said, not too sure that leaving Lance by himself with a mob of spiders was a good thing. Considering the fact that the guy had a fear of spiders she was thinking that the chances of him catching up rather quickly were slim. Adrenaline was what really fueled the Hulk, that much she knew, so odds were that Lance was going to stay green for a while.

Her attention turned towards Iris as she looked at the roll results to see what her riddle was. That definitely was a riddle that confused her, but the suggestions everyone was making made no sense, "Annie, I don't think we'd all get trapped in the jungle, I don't even think Loki would do that, since he'd want to mess with us and keep the game going for a little while and we've just finished one round," she said, before what looked to be a bit of mist started to emanate from the board, and the area surrounding it. "Guess we're going to find out soon enough though..."

As the mist continued to billow forth, there was a thud as someone stepped forward, a sword in a sheath at her side as Klara appeared, shaking her head slightly as if she was trying to clear her head, but whatever it was that was going through her mind, it seemed like she lost the fight as her eyes were completely turned black. "Well isn't this just a party," she commented, before she pulled a knife from her side and threw it, directly at Iris.

Now, despite Mira being pissed off and annoyed with Iris' very existence, she really didn't like the idea of anyone dying, and she managed to pull Iris out of the way right before the knife would have hit her head directly. "Well aren't you no fun," Klara seemingly pouted as she drew her sword with a bit of a smirk, before she charged right at Mira now, who managed to whirl and flip to avoid the sword slashes, however Klara seemed to learn rather quickly, as a misstep resulted in Mira getting a slash across her arm from the sword.

"...We've met her before right? I feel like we've ran into her before," Pietro said, looking at Guin and pointing at Klara slightly when he spoke.

Carolina Reed

Location: The Jungle (inside the game)
Skills: N/A

Carolina lightly fiddled around with her makeshift bandage some as she looked down at the little fire that Runa had made, and turned to look at Klara and nodded towards her. "It does feel like a lifetime ago, Galactus tried to eat Earth as well since the whole House of M reality." Carolina said she then stood up when she heard the sound of a really loud boom and went towards the enterance of the cave as well, she couldnt even see a sign of an oncoming storm.

When Carolina turned to face Klara she noticed that she was starting to fade away, she started to worry a little bit until Klara was completely gone now, just leaving her Runa and Elizabeth in the cave as well. She started to think of reasons why Klara suddenly disapeared while looking over at Elizabeth. "I think it's something to do with the game that we are playing maybe." Carolina said, hoping that it was the case and that they could possibly send a message out somehow or until they can be released.

Bethany Bell

Location: Xavier's Mansion - Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Shadow Manipulation

Bethany turned to stare at Iris when she tried to answer the riddle and shook her head slightly, that didnt make any sense at all, and why did she try and make it sound like some kind of STD thing. "It's something to do with the jungle where Carolina and Elizabeth are most likely." Bethany said as she watched the mist starting to fill the room suddenly, and then she noticed a figure coming out seeing a girl with a sword coming out and her eyes turning black as well.

Bethany quickly extended her hand outward as her shadow connected with Klara's and quickly restrained her after Klara tried to attack Mira with her sword, feeling the woman pulling to try and break free. "You think you could throw out some plant seeds and make some kind of restraints for her or something?" Bethany stared at Pietro when he asked Guin if she had seen her before. "Maybe she has some answers about Carolina and Elizabeth?" Bethany suggested.

Guin Stark

Location: Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Telepathy
Guin looked at Bethany with sympathy. She seemed to be really overdoing things and they were only really just getting started with this game. No one had even gotten a chance to take their second turn. "Everyone, remember to pace yourselves okay? It's a marathon, not a sprint," she said. She didn't want to single out Bethany, largely as she felt it would have been awkward to criticize Bethany for being helpful. But really, they couldn't afford to be wiped out from exhaustion before the second round of turns had even begun. That was likely Loki's plan - to wear them down so they could be killed more easily. Mira's voice seemed to be shot as well, which was definitely problematic as she was one of their heavy hitters.

She raised an eyebrow, although no one would be able to tell with her helmet on. "Jungle Mouth Herpes?" Guin asked incredulously, chuckling a little bit. "I think it's way more likely that the challenge coming from this one is heat stroke. Or Cabin Fever. Is anyone here particularly challenged with the idea of quarantining? It could be M-Pox 2 - Electric Boogalo."

"Wooooow Guina," Pietro chuckled in response.

Her eyes widened a bit as mist started to pour out of the board game. Her connections had told her that the Terrigen Mist had been responsible for causing M-Pox in the first place. "Shit, maybe Loki really is bringing M-Pox out to play." A swordswoman then appeared out of nowhere, attacking Iris and then Mira. Guin frowned a bit, taking a moment to place her before she remembered. "She's Thor's kid, I think." Bethany had partially restrained the warrior as Guin sent off a round of repulsor blasts, aiming to subdue her. They didn't seem to really do much, so Guin switched tactics, reaching out with her telepathy and finally fulfilling her role as the team's psychic.

She hardly stunned her, but Guin did manage to get a quick and thorough read of her mind. "Her name is Klara, she's been under Loki's spell for a long time. Carolina and Elizabeth are inside the board game with her cousin Runa," Guin quickly relayed. "Magic Trick, how about you do the thing and break the spell, huh?" If Edus couldn't do that, what was the point in having him around again?

Neil Spellman

Location: the Danger Room -> Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Telekinetic Combat
Neil nodded gratefully at Annie, appreciating the comfort she was trying to give him. He was too tired to express those thoughts and has his natural inclination was towards silence, he figured that she would understand what he was trying to say without it being voiced. She had super intuition, after all. He wanted nothing more than to take a short rest and recharge, to get to a point where his muscles weren't screaming whenever he tried to reach out and mentally prod at something, but there was no rest for the wicked. Iris' roll unleashed most likely the most horrifying thing yet - a woman with black eyes and a menacing sword.

He was too tired to think properly, defaulting on treating her like the Silver Surfer. He reached out psychically, trying to pull her sword away as others worked to restrain her, but instead he yelped in pain. He couldn't get a grip on it. His powers were shot and he was weak and tired. Stark's babbling about the girl being under some sort of magic curse only added insult to injury. Unlike the rest of his family, Neil didn't have magical talent. His cousin probably would have known exactly what to do. Neil couldn't even do a proper cord cutting ritual, meaning that this all fell to Edus.
Runa frowned slightly, her eyes looking slightly above everyone as she did the mental math. The Midgardian calendar was not too different from the one used on Asgard. It had been towards the end of Ýlir and the beginning of Mörsugur when reality had shifted and her identity had been changed from a daughter of Asgard to a human of Australia. "It's Sólmánuður then," she murmured to her cousin. They were just two months away from her birthday, which fell in the middle of Tvímánuður. She was startled out of her thoughts as she heard a gigantic boom and Runa sprung to her feet, leaving the runes on the floor. "Klara?" she called out softly, staring at the spot where her cousin had been moments ago.

She took a breath. "Tell me what you know about this game and how it works," she insisted.

Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Mansion: Blackbird Hangar
Skills:Sympathetic: Healing; Thamaturgy: Shield

Ed nodded when Mira accepted his offer for help. He plucked a hair from her shoulder and cast the spell. Iris rolled during that time it took him to cast the spell. He didn't get why she seemed to think it had something to do with herpes, and he almost lost concentration to laugh. Thankfully he was able to finish the spell and he could feel the healing snap around Mira. He nodded at her. "You should be better now."

Mist appeared from the game board. Ed frowned he wasn't certain what was coming but he sided a bit with Guin. It made sense. But a person was not what he was expecting. And she started to attack. He didn't know who she was and even with Guin giving information about her didn't illuminate it anything for him. He had no idea who Klara was, Thor sure, but he hadn't known Thor had a kid. Beth wrapped the woman in shadows and Klara struggled against it enough that it concerned him.

The skill he had started to build when dealing with the spiders came to mind. He could contain Klara in a bubble. He reached into his pocket and touched the tiny shield there and the translucent orange shield appeared around her. He turned to Guin, "She is under a mental spell. That is not where my magic strengths are. I can continue to contain her." His voice was low as he spoke. It carried the disapproval he had for 'reading minds', but he was doing his best to not start a fight with Guin by not outright saying it.

Elizabeth Flame

Jungle
Skills: N/A

Elizabeth watched as Klara disappeared, turning her head a bit in worry. Having their numbers lowered obviously hurt their chances of survival in a way she didn't really wanna think about. She hoped their friends rolled what they needed too soon, otherwise she didn't know how long they'd reasonably last in here. The nice thing about a cave, she supposed, was that they could only be attacked from one direction. Hard, stable, shelter was good for that. Getting up, and walking to sit on Runa's side, she fixed her eyes on the cave entrance, figuring she'd want to see if anything came their way.

Giving a comforting smile at Runa she said, "It's a bit, but hopefully it'll be over soon, yeah? I know the people playing the game will roll what they need to eventually." She said, trying to lighten things show she could. Turning her head and looking at the runes, she tried to think about what it could mean, but she really had no idea about what something like that could possibly mean. She gave an odd look to Carolina, not knowing much about the whole House of M thing, so she turned her head, "What on Earth are you talking about?" She said, hoping that Carolina hadn't gone crazy.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Blackbird Hanger
Skills: Enhanced Intuition

Antoinette looked to Mary when she addressed her in regards to her thoughts on the riddle. Possibly. Loki would want to keep them separated, keep them weak and worried for their other teammates. It would throw them off their game. Antoinette puzzled over the riddle, while she stayed next to Neil, understanding why he was quiet and didn’t reply to her. He had expelled a lot of energy and needed time with that and with the worry of Carolina.
A strange mist rolled into the hanger before a woman appeared from it and threw a knife at Iris. Antoinette shifted when Neil tried to move and use his power, he cried out as it backfired and Antoinette quickly finished stepping in front of Neil, blocking him from harm. He was too drained and he needed time to recover.
Antoinette didn’t quite recognize the woman until they all started talking about her and Guin mentioned her name as Klara and another woman Runa being trapped with Carolina and Elizabeth. Antoinette’s blue eye started to glow while Edus attempted to contain her for them.
”That won’t work,” Antoinette said to her friend and teammate. ”She was there when we battled Magneto in the alternate universe. She was adept in magic then. She still might be, on top of her sword fighting.” Antoinette’s knowledge about recognizing Runa’s name she kept to herself as Runa was not here at the moment.

Iris Rivers

Location: Blackbird Hangar
Skills: Tai Chi (RR)

"Agree to disagree, Mr. Silver," Iris replied when Pietro brushed off her suggestion. Admittedly it wasn't the most likely of outcomes, but, besides Annie, no one else seemed to be coming up with any better ideas. Iris' attention, unsurprisingly, was immediately drawn to the fog as it began to slowly emit from the board. She stepped back a few paces, watching as the misty cloud grew, waiting for something to happen. After a few seconds, something did happen. And that something was a woman with soulless black eyes, who, seconds after apparating, sent a knife flying through the air straight at Iris' face. As soon as she processed it, she tilted her head backward, getting ready to do some badass Matrix-esque dodge that would probably end with her falling on her ass, but instead she felt a hand grab her arm, pulling her out of the way. When she looked down, she saw that Mira was her savior.

"Aw, you really do care! My hero." Iris fake swooned as she spoke, letting her arm lazily drape around Mira's shoulders in a half-hug. She then looked over to Kara when she spoke, whom she greeted with a grin. "I know, right? I've been trying to de-borify her for months now, but I've barely made a dent. Anywho, you must be the jungle herpes. It's nice to meet-" she began, before being interrupted as Mira was pulled out of her arm and into a fight. Iris watched Mira take on the sword-wielding maniac easily enough, so she didn't step in. When the woman slashed at Mira's arm, however, Iris bent her knees, getting ready to jump in. Before she could, though, Bethany bound her in place, helped by the magic of Edus. The others seemed to know the woman, but she didn't recognize her from anywhere. Iris remained limber, and readied herself for battle, despite their attacker seeming to be subdued. She might be wrapped up now, but that might not last. As she stood there, eyes on Klara, she shot a glance over to Mira, looking primarily at the wound. "I can patch that up for you," she stated. Seeing as their healer was preoccupied keeping the woman from getting out, she figured her own survival would be a decent second option.
