@Zoey Boey hey just a thing for us partly colour blind friends, can you maybe pick a red that contrasts better? I have to highlight your text to read it.

Having caught up on the IC yesterday, I have to say I'm enjoying quite a few of the stories so far. So I just wanted to comment on what I'm enjoying and looking forward to as well as hopefully encouraging those writers and encouraging others to take the time to read some of the things they haven't.

@Sep's first post with Thor really got my attention because I thought the idea of Thor taking the time to answer a little girl's prayer and attend school with her was a lot of fun. The ending hook with Loki however was the icing on the cake for me. Which then leads us to his second post that he put up today. What is it that has Odin afraid? Considering the emphasis on the other pantheons in Sep's tagline, I have to wonder if there's another god gunning for Odin and Asgard. Really don't have any more of a guess than that but I'd love to find out what's going to happen.

@Hound55 returning to Blue Beetle is a return in fine form and oh how I've missed the misadventures of Ted Kord. While there are a lot of strengths among our group, Hound shines in comedic timing and dialogue. I can't think of a single post I've sat through with Kord where I don't have the dumbest grin plastered across my face and the two posts here continue that trend. Very much looking forward to more Misadventures of Blue Beetle and the addition of Booster to the cast was perfect.

@GreenGrenade on the other side of the coin definitely provided one of the more emotionally heavy posts in this RP. I couldn't help but feel pity for the Turtle and his failing mental state while he still tried to be the intimidating supervillain he knew himself to be. Barry struggling to find something to do with the Turtle that wasn't just punching him out reminds me of the Flash Museum episode of Justice League Unlimited where Flash sits at the bar with Trickster and just talks to him for a bit. Really refreshing stuff that reminds us that the best writing doesn't necessarily need to be combat orientated.

Everything I read yesterday was great but if you haven't kept up with the IC or if your time is especially limited, I highly recommend the posts belonging to the three above. I'll definitely be commenting more as we continue to keep this moving. Looking forward to seeing everyone's stories unfold and watching the world come together so I hope everyone enjoys my contributions as well.

Happy writing!

@Sep
How's this? Also have you tried turning up the contrast of your monitor? I used to have the issue as well until I messed around with my color settings. Now I can see all the colors. I don't really know how being partly color blind works though.

I mean I guess I could just use a regular red but several other people are using it, I think. And the dark red I'm using is the tile right underneath the default red on the far left so I figured it would be okay.

@Zoey Boeyany of the bottom three are alright.

Us partly colourblind people struggle with contrast. So the likes of darker colours just blend into the gray for me

So in a move that isn't entirely unprecedented, I've come to the conclusion that I'm probably not gonna churn out any IC posts anytime soon. Be it seasonal depression or lack of motivation (or both), nothing's really been coming to me - either for Superman or for an app of his potential replacement. As such, I'm dropping Superman entirely and am just going to forfeit being an IC participant anytime soon.

I'll still be around as GM and probably will participate in behind-the-scenes plotting, but until the writing bug bites again, I'd rather not force it. People have been doing great work with the game so far, and I want to eventually join in... now's just not the time, I guess.

Hopefully there's a willing player out there to step into The Man Of Steel's boots, because the game certainly needs Clark. And apart from anything established in the summary, there's no need to be beholden to anything in my app.

Certainly disappointed to not get to see @Master Bruce get to do what he has historically done best - incredibly deep immersive character prose that truly nails setting and atmosphere

That said... might be an interesting opportunity to see what a hands-on GM pulling NPC strings and driving collaborative stories would be like in one of these games, without the time consumed by also carrying a major character.

The potential for seeing @Master Bruce set atmosphere and tone in isolated "event" and set-up situations without ties to a singular character are tantalising as well.

@Master Bruce It's sad but you're making the right call for you, and even the game. As if you aren't feeling it and try and force your way to write as Clark with him being such an important character I think that would cause more damage. I respect this call and like Hound says I look forward to seeing what you do as a GM not tied to a character.

@Lord Wraith wanna publically thank you for the kind words you've said. It'll all tie together, I'm really excited about what I have planned for Thor and his journey and I'm super glad you've been enjoying it so far. Hopefully, other people have too.

Now for mine, as I feel like the discussion is good for us.

Most Interesting Concept:

@DocTachyon with Batman. I think I've made it known I'm not the biggest Batman fan, like he's alright but I've never had the desire to read many of his stories. Watch the films and I think that's about it. Reading Docs post and his sheet I'm really excited about this take on the character. I don't know why but an older, wiser Batman too me is just a more interesting take as its one I've never really seen before (with the exception of the Dark Knight Returns(?) movies.) Looking forward too seeing how an older Batfamily deals with things going forward.

Favourite Story Arc:

This was a hard one to do. I really wanted to highlight a specific post, but then I couldn't neglect the entire little self-contained arc that is going on. It was emotional, empowering and it gave us enough exposition of the heroic family and legacies while also being interesting without it seeming like it's just trying to throw information at us. I gotta give my favourite little arc too @GreenGrenade with what is going on with the Turtle. It wasn't where I was expecting it to go, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm looking forward to see where you go next with the character.

Standout post:

Now @Bounce I'm sure you know that I always questioned why you always tend to go with younger characters. It's a stylistic choice, I know, and initially, I was unsure on where I stood with Billy but your first post just knocked it out the water. You can tell he's a kid underneath all that but there's also something so mature and hardened about Billy that's immediately evident. I love where you're going with this, and I'm looking forward to reading more.

Notable Mentions:

@AndyC You've done a good job at setting up Spideys little world of New York, his relationships and how it all works together in the few posts you've done. I'm loving it and looking forward to what's happening next.
@Hound55 All I'll say is if you ever drop Kord... it will be sad but if you bring the same energy, enthusiasm and skill to whoever is next it'll be great.
@Pacifista It's no big secret I'm a Hulk fan and I like what you're doing with it. We don't often get to see a Banner and Hulk more in tune due to the nature of the games. I like what I see, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
@Hillan post more Ghost Rider, please. That's all.
@Lord Wraith loved the first post, look forward too seeing more.

Okay. I've bene touchy feely enough, I'm gonna peace out.
