Genshin Impact would be a lot cooler if it wasn't a gacha game. The movement is slow but the elemental combat could be really interesting in a good game built around the concept.

IDRK the first thing about gacha games except that @Asura plays them and he probably shouldn't.

The theme for Dr. Eggman in Sonic 2006 sounds like the Sonic version of the imperial march.

Sometimes I forget how genuinely enjoyable games can be. Among Us, being my new favorite thing of the moment. (And looking forward to see how it progresses since it's already getting some interesting updates.)

Though on the opposite side of the spectrum, I've played a lot of "Spellbreak". A newish wizard Fortnite. (Because my friends are cheap. And we were slowly getting tired of playing Warframe. A much better game, that far runs better on the Switch compared to the PS4. For no discernible reason.) Which in practice isn't even that bad of a game. Despite it's laughable balance and matchmaking. But it may very well have the worst in-game cosmetic store I've ever seen in a game. Outrageous prices aside. That, without explaining pedantic detail, feels like every game is the same soul-sucking experience. But you get what you pay for, I suppose. Though it did make me wonder if that was really all the battle royale genre has to offer.

And because I learned my mistake from last time, when I bought the PS4 on launch day out of spite for how dreadful Xbox One's marketing was. I'm not touching either of the overpriced ugly things, until they've fixed the inevitable flaws with their systems. But I'll bring up the very few launch titles I'm interested in seeing how they do.

-PS5-
Godfall: Basically the one fun looking title among the pack. But it's also made by Gearbox. And Randy Pitchford is already kind of embarrassing himself in its marketing.
Marvel's Spider-Man, Miles Morales: Loved the previous one. And I like Miles Morales' Spiderman. Though I'm worried about this one being originally DLC. (And/or will end up being much shorter than the original.) That you're still expected to pay full price for. (The Remaster cost aside.)

-SeXbox-
Tunic: It's cute fox Zelda. I mean, how could you go wrong with that? Though the fact that it's a launch title that's usually meant to impress? Well, okay then.
The Medium: I like me a nice concept. So the dual world thing *could* be very interesting. But, what console exclusive horror games haven't sucked? (In fairness, being kind of a bad game, didn't stop me from liking Until Dawn.)

Also, while I'm curious, has anyone here decided to play the early access version of Baulders Gate 3? (And how's that, thus far?)

Just my first ever pokemon emerald, and halo here... Chicago's "Ignite Gaming Lounge" is my current preposterous. I will get an xbox by February whence my room is ready.

That last solo at Ignite had me try their PCs whilst I waited for an xbox opening. I finally tried "DOOM".

Playing Halo MCC on the PC made me kinda realize just how much certain parts of the game become broken when the aim is mouse based instead of controller based. For instance, Spartan lasers on any map can make vehicle use suicide just because the mouse aim makes it way easier to track targets than with controllers.

It's an observation that makes me avoid game types where that one weapon is involved like the plague.

I played Watch Dogs Legion for about half an hour and in that time I finished the tutorial, selected a 51 year old Irish writer as my first character, got drunk at a pub then immediately went outside and started drunkenly kicking a soccer ball around and was rewarded with shoes, a hat, and extra cash for being drunk.

I tried the Watch Dogs 2 demo and unfortunately didn't like it very much despite the loads of effort into making the game world feel real and engaging. Might just not be a series for me.

I guess INB4 someone immediately goes to the sales figures to claim something doesn't suck. When it has always been the absolute worst determining factor of quality beside a critics' metascore.

The PS5 and Sexbox consoles are having a rather embarrassing launch thus far. With both consoles already having a larger share of problems than I remember the last generation having. (Including bricking entirely, for multiple reasons.) Plus, each are (purposefully) understocking units in retail and online stores, so only scalpers continue to benefit from their lazy marketing decisions.

But that's not the only thing I predicted correctly, it seems. For several "positive" reviews later, and it's obvious that Spiderman's Miles Morales *was* DLC stretched to a full-priced game. Since, everyone has mentioned the game is astoundingly short and has little content in it. (And that, more than anything, bums me out.) Though, everyone also claimed that the game was super fun, yet they skipped all the boring/bad side content. Which is beyond an oxymoron...

So, in my forever mission to play catch up. I've been trying to find a game that can be half as enjoyable as Hollow Knight was.

But Owlboy didn't really grab me the first time I played, and I haven't returned since. (As I've might of mentioned before. Though maybe I'll try it again sometime.) And I thought I'd really enjoy playing, Rain World, but the controls are borderline flash game bad. And I can't even use my preferred controller, because the devs might've abandoned the game. Which is a damn shame...

However, Ori and The Blind Forest, may very well scratch that "Bullshit, but I'm gonna keep playing anyway" itch. Because damn, the game is gorgeous, and it really did endear you to the character you're playing as. (Even if your side-kick is Navi.)

And since I have yet to hear a single person say anything but, "Hades is a Masterpiece". So I promise to eventually get on that, whenever I find the time to try Supergiant's Pyre. Since I already have that one. (And Bastion and Transistor were both games I thought were kind of fun, but I admittedly never got very far into either of them. The latter which crashed and I lost all my progress on. Thanks PS4.)

Plus, I may very well get into playing the remake of Demon's Souls. Because I enjoyed the few hours I started in Bloodborne. (Which will probably be the *next* game I'll attempt to sink more time into...)

That, and everyone else on the internet. Since Se(ries)X came out this year. So yeah. It's used both ironically and unironically for abbreviation.

And really, when Mircosoft themselves can't keep their names straight. Why not?

Don't quite think that's how abbreviation works but whatever it takes for the chuckles.

That new Assassins Creed seemed interesting but from the gameplay and reviews I've seen it seems to be turning out to be just more of the same. They're supposed to have supply issues until I think April, and that's just fine by me.

And, now I've seen fairly in-depth reviews about the shallow quality of Godfall too. So make that prediction three. (Though most people seemed to immediately write this game off as the next Anthem anyway.) So I officially could not care less about the new generation of consoles. Which certainly saves me money.

But, yes Ori was nice. And I managed to actually get more involved with Pyre than Supergiant's previous works, because I actually cared about the characters and their narrative. Though I honestly could've done without the basketball. But in contrast, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, a game I already heard had bad combat, but wanted to try anyway for its narrative gimmick. Was excruciatingly slow and obnoxious. (And I'm pretty sure the game bugged out in an hour of playing it. So it clearly didn't want me to play either.)

So, to replace that, I have an open-world RPG. Fingers crossed? >.>

Also, somebody leaked and streamed the gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077. So, the jig is up, and it might very well actually be released in December. Bugs and all, one can only expect. (Though in a single piece of theoretical good news. Is Twitch has become so awful and anti-user, that this game has a built-in streaming mode that will *supposedly* prevent DCMA's.) So, that's something, I guess.

Oh, and what is everyone else playing?
