According to recommended requirements, CB2077 is supposed to run fine on a 1060. I don't know how much I believe in that, but if it's true then that's some damn fine optimizing of their engine.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see for sure. I'm happy with my 2060 Super, it will keep me going for a long time I think.

On another topic what moment in a video game made you cry? For me it was pretty much all of Dragon Quest 11 the feelz were 4 reelz.

I can only remember crying once in a videogame and it was the end of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness when I was, like, 11.

Bruh. I have the DW 11 super duper primo edition for Switch but have never opened it. I got purely for the character designs and because it looks like something fun to play when I'm out camping.

Tell me it's amazing.

It's the best Dragon Quest game that they've put out and the S edition is even better because they don't have crappy MIDI music to drag it down on top of additional features like 2D mode in case you want the classic throwback JRPG to be even more classic.

Recommendations were duly noted.

@BangoSkank I have and sucked at both of them too. (As I do with most modern FPS's.) But Metro 2033 is certainly a more linear experience. From what I played of it. So you might actually be able to tell where the hell you're supposed to be going. If the open world setting/immediate early difficulty of Stalker had turned you off. (And it's often touted as a far more polished game than Stalker. So if you have any interest in it, it sounds like the Redux version is superior.)

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. Just kidding, that 'underrated' game sucks and is the most pretentious sad game I've ever played.

But I'd honestly have to think for a bit about that, because I don't know if anything in particular comes to mind. Especially, when it comes to becoming teary-eyed. But in terms of an emotional gut punch? Maybe Season One of Telltale's Walking Dead?

I'm in agreement with your statement, the thing that always made me not skip the intro of the game is the orchestration of the main theme and all the music is well done.

The Voice acting phenomenal but the mouth animation could be synced a little better with the dialogue (In English)

@Blackmist16 Here's pretty much all I remember from my experience when I played as a teennager. Aside from the villian's "I want to destroy the world to fix it" shtick. (And I don't count that as a spoiler, since that's every bad JRPG plot ever.)

*picks up a cookie*

Voiceover: "Ah, chocolate chip. The kind my grandma used to make before she died in my arms. I can remember her telling me that life was like a cookie. Sweet, but fragile and easily broken. Now I miss my grandma, and my also dead friends. Because I'm cold and alone, now. And I don't even have anything left to eat..." *goes on for two more paragraphs.*

Soundtrack was nice, though.

Good point, I just personally thought when Sylvando was about to give up was pretty emotional. Dude was always happy.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and then also Kingdom Hearts 3's big dumb reunion special at the end and then the twist at the end of that because I'm a big soft dumb baby adult.

Also, NieR. The first one, specifically the true ending. Planetarian: Reverie of a Little Planet was basically written to be a feels trip and it got me.

cyberpunk is reaaaaaallllllly not in a good state right now. gameplay wise it's fucking dope as shit but i can't get over the subpar optimization and various bugs throughout the game

good news is that i got my gtx 1060 to pull 60 frames 90% of the time but it still lacks in certain places but i think im gonna hold off on playing further until further patches come out

I don't know why they published the min/recommended specs they did. I feel like most of us knew that was going to be woefully insufficient.

That gives me some hope lmao, 1650 Super gang.

Though I imagined it was going to be like the Witcher 3 in that its in a really rough spot on launch unfortunately. Wish it was avoided but we're here now, when I get to play it at the end of the year hopefully there'll be some rectification coming.

@rocketrobie2 I would uh, not have done that if I were you. Standard current-gen consoles are apparently hit the worst with the performance issues borderlining on unplayability. Godspeed comrade.

@LetMeDoStuff You should be in a half-decent spot. I'm running on some pretty beastly hardware. 1650 Super ought to do 1080p60fps with good stability. The framerate stability is definitely the biggest issue right now, backed up by micro-stuttering on some hardware configurations (I suspect this has to do with insufficient VRAM).

I think Cyberpunk will be a legitimately great game after the patches. When I can actually play it I'm having fun, the gameplay delivers. The story and characters are very interesting. I also enjoy the leveling and skills trees, you can really tailor it to the playstyle you want. It has all the makings of a great action RPG, it just isn't re-inventing the wheel.

But its a mess on current gen consoles especially. Tons of reports of crashes and bugs. My experience on my PS4 has been better, I've suffered three crashes in like 8 hours of gameplay but have not encountered any big bugs. The slow loading textures are pretty annoying and there are moments where it just freezes for a few seconds entirely. The graphics in general leave a lot to be desired, I wasn't expecting like ridiculous ones as I know the current gen console tech is older but its still disappointing. Its strange because the interiors look nice and the character models look pretty great but the outside is just bad. I have found turning off the visual effects such as motion blur do make the graphics look better but still. The city also seems pretty empty, again even if that's a hardware things its strange and takes away from the scale of it all.

The game really needed several more months of dev work. They really should've held it back til next year but I guess the holiday season/new console money was too tempting.
