Staring: Christian Barker
_________________________________________________
_________________________________________________

Christian had spent all week preparing for Friday night's party - and he did it by giving away a ton of money and alcohol.

He had started by scoring quite a large amount of coke, LSD, ecstasy, and weed from Colin. It had been a bit of an awkward situation, but Christian really didn’t see why people called Colin a bad guy. He just had a hard, aggressive, tattooed shell.

Then there was the act of settling a price with Noah Kingsley to get him to DJ. The two gentlemen had decided on a sum of cash that was more than fair. Tonight's party would have the biggest, most bass filled hits that the planet had to offer.

Melissa was proving to be more of a help than Christian would have originally thought. He had given her a thousand bucks to buy copious amounts of alcohol, and even promised her first dibs on a few bottles of her choice in exchange for her trouble. He had heard through the grapevine that Aiden and his friends were going to bring jungle juice, so Christian decided that he would just leave that to them.

Cael and his friend Gremlin - Her name is Rae, dammit. - had been more than happy with decorating. He had given them roughly three thousand dollars, and told them to go haywire. Glow paint, balloons, neon streamers, disco balls, glow necklaces, glow sticks, glowing cups, glowing ping pong balls for beer pong, and hoola hoops - if you could name it, Christians party most likely had it in glow form. And to make things even interesting, black lights had been hung up so that everything white also glowed.

Christian had also bought a lot of supplies offline and at Walmart himself. While the family house had an in-ground pool that was full of floats, glowing pool balls, and other various items - Christian had also decorated the lake in the same way. Of course the lake couldn’t have glow sticks in the bottom of it like the pool, but close enough.

Tables were set up in the back yard covered in party favors, and Eleazar had shown up extremely early and had awkwardly decided to grill things. The backyard was set up perfectly with the glowing beer pong tables, glowing bouncy house, and other attractions. The white tarps had been spread across the back yard as the designated paint war area.

To top it all off, the inside of the house looked like a glowing mansion. Couches and chairs had been pushed up against the wall in hopes that people wouldn’t ruin them. The wine cellar had been locked, along with Christians room and his parents' bedroom. But despite his precautions, the inside of the house was decorated much like the outside. The glow in the dark stars that you stuck to the ceilings were, in fact, stuck to the ceiling and walls.

All in all, Christian was very pleased.

As people began to arrive, a wide smile spread across his face. This truly was the perfect way to celebrate the teams win, and bring the student body together.

Was this the year that Rico Nunez would finally curb some of those nasty habits he had picked up? Not likely but you could call or a resolution of some kind. It was the first Friday of a news school year and you know what that means; party.

Enrique's sole objective for this event was to let Freako out of his cage and get fucking messy; with a sub objective of avoiding Ellie. It wasn’t that he really wanted to, in fact there was a huge part of him that just wanted to grab her and tell her how much of an idiot he was and to plead with her to take him back. For all of his many faults, however Rico was not a fool. He loved Ellie dearly and intensely but theirs was not a love built to last. She deserved more than what he could give her. He sincerely hoped that one day she would get what she was owed because lord knows she would be owed a lot after putting up with him for six months. He wanted her to be happy but that didn’t stop a pain hitting his heart every time he saw her.

Still, onwards the mariachi must march and there was now fresh bodies to dance with at Rosefell High. The Liberties had invaded and it was time that they were introduced properly to the Stroke Daddy himself Rico Suave. This meant that he had to look good to start in spite of how bad he might end later.

¿Qué ponerse para impresionar a los muchos santos de Rosefell?

Taking a swig of tequila from the bottle on the side cabinet before opening up his wardrobe, the Latin lover was somewhat taken aback by the sheer amount of denim he had in there. Then again denim was never out of style and the boy knew how to make it work. Not tonight though, he was feeling himself in a different way. Pushing past the wrack of Levi to what he calls the party shelf; Rico began to scan for an outfit. From what he had heard this was supposed to be more of a rave than a straight up let’s get shit faced type of suare so his outfit had to reflect that. He didn’t have anything that would glow in his closet but he did have something that would shine.

Not long after, Enrique stood in front of his mirror in the party armour he had assembled; some nice plaid cords, some sleek slip ons and a very seductive white velour shirt accessorised with a simple silver chain; he looked the business...what business? Probably the porn business but still.

”Me gusta”

Polishing off what was once half a bottle of Don Nacho from his Papa’s private stash reserved solely for high society clients at the restaurant; Rico was satisfied with his appearance and had a good enough buzz on to get the night started. Descending the stairs to the kitchen of La Munica; the staff were working away; cleaning after another busy Friday night. He made his way into the dining area where the last of the customers were just leaving and his mother and father were waving them off; arms around one another, the picture of a perfect marriage. He looked dashing in his chefs jacket and she look every bit the beauty she was in a red dress; if Hunter or Colin were around they would turn into the American Pie dudes and start chanting MILF, all the boys loved Monica Nunez and all the girls loved Pedro. As the kids would say, they were goals in every sense, especially to Rico.

“Mijo, te ves impecable, diviertete y ten cuidado Enrique ok?” The beautiful Latina woman moved over to her baby boy and kissed his forehead before moving behind the counter to count the days takings.

It was a strange thing; knowing you were actively disappointing your parents and them just accepting it as truth. Monica and Pedro knew all too well their only child’s nocturnal activities and they also knew that Rico was a force that at the end of the day just could not be stopped. She was by no means proud of the boy but she was also not ashamed; he was living his life as he saw fit and that was admirable, it was just her wish that he hadn’t chosen such a particular lifestyle. Monica’s greatest worry was that her son would end up alone or drag someone else down with him.

Pedro brushed back his long flowing hair as he opened the front door for Rico. In contrast to his wife, the chef took a very different approach with his son; he knew his hijo was a rockstar and like the song says it’s better to burn out than fade away.“Después de usted joven señor” He ushered the young troubadour out of the front of the restaurant but just before closing up, the elder Nunez poked his head out one last time. “Rico; you’re mother, she’s still way too beautiful to be an abuela...so make sure you’re safe tonight savvy? Have fun”

Monica heard every word and shook her head in frustration; “Ambas son idiotas”

Enrique had decided to walk to the party; it was obviously much safer than riding his skateboard plus he was sure by the end of the evening he could either swing a ride from someone or wouldn’t be coming home at all. Plus the nice breeze tempered the alcohol in his system and stretched the buzz out just a bit longer. As he walked, he began to replay a melody he had been working on in his head, his strut turned into a jive and his jive into him full blown tango with himself on the street. Suave was feeling himself tonight by God. He’d never been to this neighbourhood before considering it was on the Liberty side of the tracks. The further he got the bigger the houses and fancier the cars...how could these people not afford their own school again?

He couldn’t help but think he had arrived when he looked upon the house that looked like a Christmas grotto on acid. He stood in the doorway and peered inside; this was his type of place. With a smile on his face and tequila in his eyes, Stroke Daddy made a beeline for the nearest drinks table.

As Colin drove, once again "borrowing" his sister's ride, he was on the highway. The window was rolled down, his left arm resting along the top of the door, bent in an almost-complete right angle, and a lit cigarette in his hand. He had Metallica's "Enter Sandman" blasting so loud that he could barely hear himself sing along with James Hetfield, barely could even hear himself think.

Almost.

The music helped his mind block out those thoughts that often crept back from time to time. Sometimes it was Cosima that kept him company, her voice -- or what Colin imagined her voice would sound like now -- kept him company. He didn't know why it sounded like Stephanie, though. Lord knows they had nothing in common, but that bitch of an ex of his sure could make her way into his most protected thoughts if she really wanted to.

Or maybe he couldn't stop thinking about how she got what was coming to her. She bruised his nose and he broke her front bumper, but because most people saw the evidence of his face, she was suspended on the first day. Maybe he was the dick for being happy about that because he technically started the fight. Good thing Rosefell hadn't invested in an all-knowing super machine that could record every conversation or else he'd be screwed too.

As he pressed the cigarette to his lips and took in a deep breath, he exhaled a puff of smoke as he turned up the volume just a bit more. He wanted the Liberty bitches to know he was on his way, but more importantly, Colin Gallagher just really liked Metallica's classics. Nothing beats the classics.

As he kept driving somewhat absentmindedly, it was only last minute that he nearly missed his exit.

Swerving from one lane to the other, the tires of his sister's 93 Chevy Convertible shrieked like a banshee and he nearly escaped a fatal crash at the exit. Honks from pissed off drivers were heard in the distance as Colin sped so fast that those horns faded into the distance within seconds.

Several half-miles later, Colin wasn't in Kansas anymore, but in fact had been transported to a place worse than Kansas: the place where Liberty kids called home. Everywhere he looked, on both sides of the road, which he couldn't help but gawk in disgust, were streets that were too clean for their own good, shops that had organic and artisan in just about every name, and people walking down the street as if they didn't live no less than ten miles away from people who would get stabbed just for walking on the wrong side of the street as if they didn't have privilege written all over their smug faces. It didn't matter how late it was, Colin knew they never had to worry about that kind of danger.

"They make me sick," Colin uttered as he flicked his still-lit cig into the street and drove off.

He eventually made it to Christian Barker's house. Christian, who had asked Colin to score the goodies, was probably the rare case where not everyone at Liberty was an obnoxious know-it-all who thought they were better than everyone else. Christian, who came to Colin at lunch on the first day, knowing exactly who Colin was and who he knew, made a deal. Christian, who was a complete dumbass and looked like someone who'd smoke and snort everything Colin scored for him, also had that Liberty money.

So, of course, Colin would help out. He had help from Patrick Quinn, of course, but all-in-all, he managed to obtain everything Christian Barker asked for and then some. Sure, he pocketed some of the money for himself and scammed Christian a bit.

Like he said: Christian Barker was a dumbass, but he wasn't a bad guy. Colin almost felt bad for telling him he needed about a hundred more than what he knew Ricky charged.

Oops.

To make up for scamming Christian, Colin opted out of claiming the driveway for himself but instead parked on the street. Before he got out and before he went for the jacket that was laying in the backseat, Colin reached for a special gift he bought with the money that he pocketed from Christian. Usually, he wasn't one to drink tequila. Truth be told, the taste often conflicted with every strand of Irish DNA in him, but tonight was the start of new beginnings.

And hell, when you can score a bottle of high quality Don Julio for a hundred bucks, how could he say no?

So when he walked up to the front door, the bottle in one hand and him maneuvering himself into his jacket one arm at a time, Colin let himself into Christian's house. Or at least he did after he realized the door was unlocked. He heard the bass of whatever music had been playing and immediately the vibe of the party brought a wide grin to his face. It was such a vibe that he twisted open the bottle of tequila and took a quick sip. Even though it burned, it lit him alive with a foreign fire that felt different, but right at the same time.

Colin scanned the area. He didn't know who or what he was looking for, but he caught the sight of a son of a bitch that demanded his immediate attention.

Strolling over to one of the many drinks table in sight, Colin's arm hovered over Freako Rico's neck as Colin towered over him. The arm that was to Rico's left was the one with the bottle of Don Julio. "So what's the plan tonight, Rico? Who you gonna try and fuck?"

A collab featuring: Lilith Montgomery @HaleyTheRandom & Ellie Roberts @Melissa
________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________

With her lips pressed together in a thin line and with her arms crossed, Ellie Roberts stared into the abyss that was her closet, searching through what seemed like endless thrifted finds for the perfect outfit to wear to tonight’s party. It was indeed a bit unusual that the girl would be in attendance, as normally she’d be working a closing shift at the diner, but she had made a vow to herself that this year she would try to break out of her shell and have a little fun while she still could. So, she found herself getting ready alongside her best friend in the hours before they departed for Christian’s house.

Everyone would be there tonight- both Rosefell and Liberty kids -and out of them all, the only person that Ellie was intent on avoiding was Rico. She somehow had managed to go all week without running into him (aside from spotting him on the first day), but knew that luck would run out tonight since it was practically guaranteed that he’d be present. This meant that even if she didn’t intend on talking to him, she still had to look damn well good.

Grabbing two hangers in order to present them as options, she pivoted on her heel to meet Lil’s gaze. “Alright, which one? Left or right?

Lilith was sitting on the edge of her best friend's bed, legs crossed as she silently rolled a blunt over her rolling tray. At the sound of Ellie’s voice, Lilith’s head snapped up as her eyes examined the two choices in front of her.

”Honestly, babe? The second one is way too formal. I know we’re low-key trying to impress the Liberty cuties but… no. That’s gross.” Taking a lighter, Lilith gently ran the flame back and forth across the wax strip to help the blunt dry faster. ”I like the first one. You know I do. I adore that outfit everytime you wear it - but I also think you could do better.”

The brunette vocally grumbled, letting both the hangers drop from her hands and fall to the floor dramatically. She was sure one of those outfits would have been good enough for the party, but now she was back at square one. Even though she knew her friend was right (as always), she still was frustrated. Finding something to wear wasn’t normally this hard! “Ugh, fine. Let me see what else I have.” Turning back around and leafing through her options again, Ellie spoke over her shoulder to Lil.

“How many of those are you making?” The girl inquired curiously, not directly implying that she wanted in, but her interest clearly piqued.

Ellie’s reaction put a small smirk on Liliths face. A small huff through her nose signified the girl's amusement as she readjusted on the bed, and the question resulted in the shrugging of her shoulders. ”At least five - one for each of the storage tube thingies and one for now. Maybe more. Just depends on how long we hang out until the party. Plus what I don’t smoke now, I’ll smoke later with someone at the party, so...” Her voice trailing off, Lilith began to roll another blunt.

”You know… the offer always stands to smoke with me. Sure, the choking sucks, but it’s worth it.”

Ellie sighed, resigning for a moment from scavenging her wardrobe to flop down on the bed in momentary defeat. She peered over and watched as Lil rolled another blunt with delicate fingers, a true art form of it’s own. For as long as the two had been friends, and as many times she had been offered a joint or a hit from a bong, Ellie had never smoked. Partially because she had been scared to death when they talked about drugs during Health class for the first time, partially because she’d seen how Ri- her ex could get when he mixed too many things together, and mostly because she was afraid of how she’d react while high. But something about tonight and the mood she was in was making her extra curious about joining Lil in her escapades.

“I know,” Ellie replied, always aware of Lil’s open door policy. With a slight pause, she let her train of thought become words, “Like, how high will I be if I smoke with you? Is there like a tolerance for weed like there is for alcohol?” The brunette asked in her naivety, knowing that her friend would probably laugh at her dumb question. “I’m just like really nervous for tonight.

Lilith cleared her throat and narrowed her eyes as she tried to concentrate. This one wrap wasn’t wanting to stick shut, and it looked like she might have to double wrap it. It was a little annoying, but it also burned a little slower, so it was worth the pain.

”Well, love… like with anything else in life, every person is different. Some people have to smoke a little bit more when they get high, some people a little less. Also depends on the strains. And there’s different kinds of highs and --” Pausing for a brief moment, Lilith glanced over to see the look on her friend's face. ”Okay, that might be kinda scary. Let me put it this way.”

Putting her rolling tray of supplies to the side, Lilith turned to look Ellie in the face, her legs crossed on the bed. ”The strain that I have is called Cherry pie. It’s what we call an Indica hybrid, so it’s really gonna mellow you out.”

Ellie’s brain moved at a mile a minute as Lil tried to explain the intricacies of smoking, but all she was focusing on was the high. Of course she was nervous, as such is anyone when trying something new, but she trusted her friend with her life (quite literally) and so she knew that Lil wouldn’t throw her in the deep end without a life vest. “There’s different types of weed? I thought it was all the same thing…” The brunette sighed, burying her head into a nearby pillow.

“How the fuck am I supposed to be going to art school and plan on surviving in college if I don’t even know that there’s different types of weed?!” Her words muffled, she replied to Lil with a grumble. Lifting her head up, she returned her gaze to her friend. “I’ve missed a lot, haven’t I...” She trailed off, referencing the fact that instead of going to parties, she’d been working around the clock at the diner.

”Baby - listen. At the end of the day it is all the same. It all burns, it all smokes, and it all gets you high - unless it’s just really shit weed.” Lilith took a moment to light the first of her treasures, inhaling deeply before letting the smoke exit through her nose.

”Are you okay, E,” she asked, clearly concerned as she got off the bed to open the window. Taking another hit, she looked at Ellie. ”Something seems…. off.”

The brunette exhaled deeply once again, “I don’t know.” She replied honestly, staring blankly at the ceiling. “I thought I was okay- I thought I was over it- but of course I had to see Rico on the very first day of school hitting on some Liberty blonde and it made me question everything.” Ellie explained, the words just tumbling out. It was an uneasiness that she had felt all week but opted to keep to herself, but as it always went, she knew she couldn’t lie to Lil.

“I sometimes feel like I made the wrong choice and breaking up with him was a mistake.”

Lilith listened as her friend explained her current dilemma, her eyes widening at the mention of Rico’s name. So he was the problem. Putting the blunt out in the ashtray, Lilith made her way over to Ellie’s closet, trying to see if she could find a revenge outfit. Hands on her hips as she huffed in frustration, she shook her head.

”Look - I know that you loved the guy. I mean, how could you not?” As Lilith began shuffling through the clothes in the closet, she began to feel the heat rise to her face. Rico had been an ass to Ellie, and Lilith had never forgiven him for it - no matter how many times they had hung out. ”But! He broke promises. He lied. He manipulated. He came home at odd hours in the morning, not caring if you had plans or if you were in the right mind to deal with his shit. And he didn’t treat you right.”

The more upset Lilith got, the faster the words came out. Taking a deep breath, she yanked the two most appealing pieces from the closet she could find - a white crop top and jean shorts.

”I’m sorry. I don’t have any right to be upset. But I remember how he treated you, and I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’ll ever forgive him for it, either. Now - if somewhere down the road you do end up taking him back then so be it. But don’t forget what he did, and don’t forget how he made you feel. Breaking up with him back then was the right choice. And now that I know what’s wrong...”

Tossing the clothes to Ellie, Lilith picked the ashtray up from the bedside table. ”I suggest that we find a way for you to have a good time tonight - starting with that outfit.”

The brunette watched as her best friend’s demeanor made a complete 180 from the moment previous, her statement about Rico clearly striking a negative chord and resulting in an off- colored tangent. But she couldn’t blame her- Ellie would react the same way if Lil was in a similar situation and as she listened to the words that quickly fled from her lips, the girl tried to align herself with the mindset that her friend was in. Lil was right- her ex had made empty promises, he hid things from her, and he always knew that she’d come to his aid even when it was inconvenient. And as much as Ellie was head over heels for him at the time and would do anything for him, looking back, the behavior shouldn’t have been tolerated in the slightest.

As her friend threw options her way, the brunette inspected the shirt and shorts choice from her closet before slipping off the outfit she was wearing in order to try it on. As she pulled the white cropped tank over her head, she realized it was more revealing than she’d normally wear, the fabric just hitting above her belly button. The same was discovered as she stepped into the shorts one leg at a time. With both pieces on, she responded to Lil.

“You do have a right to be upset, you know. Just because you didn’t date him doesn’t mean you weren’t hurt by his actions too…” Ellie paused, not wanting it to sound as though she believed he had cruel intentions. Because he didn’t, so she clarified. “But he’s not a bad person either though- he just clearly needed help with getting his priorities in check.” The brunette inspected herself in the mirror before breaking her train of thought to address the clothes she was wearing.

“Is this more of what you were envisioning?” Ellie asked, turning to see her backside in the reflection, “My ass isn’t hanging out of these shorts, is it?”

”I know he’s not a bad person, and I know people change,” Lilith said, relighting the blunt. Talking about Rico had a way of killing your buzz. ”But despite all that… just don’t get hurt.”

Flopping back down on the bed, Lilith laughed at Ellie’s reaction. ”That’s perfect!” she exclaimed, genuinely pleased with the job she had done. ”For the current situation - there could not be a better outfit. Besides - you have a nice ass and it ain’t gonna look like that forever.”

Shrugging her shoulders, Lilith took another hit. ”But seriously - we can find you something else if it’s too much. Or… you could just say fuck it, think about the fact that it’s Senior year and hit this shit so I don’t feel so bad about smoking a whole one by myself. Your call.”

“No,” Ellie blurted, continuing to gaze at herself in the mirror. The more she stared, the more she liked the outfit and how she looked in it. The shorts hit her hips just at the right spot to emphasize her natural curves, and the tank hit her midriff in the perfect place to draw the eye upward. “I think it’s just enough.” The girl directed her attention away from her reflection and towards Lil, as well as the blunt she was holding. Debating with herself for one last moment, she finally walked towards the bed and extended her hand, agreeing that if there was ever a time to smoke, it was now. Besides, what’s the worst thing that could happen?

“Fuck it, this is happening.” Grasping the blunt delicately with her thumb and index finger, Ellie walked towards the window and brought it towards her lips, inhaling shallowly at first but then deeper. Even though she had never smoked before, she had seen Lil take a hit about a thousand times at this point, so she knew basically what to do. As her lungs filled, she tried to resist the urge to cough, and managed to exhale almost completely before letting one or two gentle ones slip out. Heat graced her cheeks and Ellie smirked as she handed the blunt back to Lil. “Are you proud of me?”

Already bursting with excitement before Ellie took the blunt, this moment easily made the list of Lilith’s top five most shocked moments. Standing by and watching eagerly to see if Ellie’s first hit would be good or bad, she nodded her head in encouragement as she took the blunt back from her friend.

”Eleanor Roberts - I have been waiting a lifetime for you to smoke with me,” she said, laughing. ”And yes. I am completely shocked at how well you took that. My first hit was an absolute disaster.” Taking another hit, Lillith looked at Ellie. ”What do you say you go do your makeup and I’ll get us an Uber to the party?”

The brunette laughed along with her bestie before nodding in agreement. “Sounds perfect. Let’s make tonight one to remember… or not.” Ellie winked before grabbing her makeup bag and heading towards the bathroom to complete her look, preparing for the night ahead of them.

Featuring: DeShawn, Hunter, Jax, JJ and Spike (The Boys)

First Party of the Year.

It didn’t matter where in the country you were; Maryland, LA, Maine...if it was the start of a semester; there was going to be some form of a party and on this warm end of summer night deep in the heart of Columbus, Ohio there was going to be a fucking rager.

DeShawn had been nominated by his fellowship of the evening; which consisted of the usual suspects Hunter, Jay and Spike as well as a new member; Jax, as the designated driver to get the fivesome to the the venue...at least to get them there, getting back was a different story and if the one and only Sexual Chocolate had his way, his leaving the party would involve a ridiculously attractive blonde cheerleader with legs like a racehorse, her little red and black outfit and probably a bottle of whiskey; he was a man of class after all. Then again, it didn’t necessarily have to be the Queen of Thorns that stole his attention tonight; there were a lot of other opportunities to be had.

That said it was because of said delectable blonde that Dee didn’t have a car. It only took one time for he and Melissa to be caught ensconced by his Uncle Denzel for his car keys to be stripped from his Bob Ross key ring and kept away from him. If he had still been on Fremont Street with his oldman, DeShawn probably would’ve kicked up a fuss and caused some kind of havoc. When it came to his uncle, the big man kept his mouth shut, listened and did what he was told. It was a matter of respect after all. Luckily for Dee and his Boys, his cousin Isaiah had a 2012 Ford Expedition at his disposal and he owed the linebacker about a half a dozen favours. Tonight; the Ford was his.

New Boy to the crew Jax had been the first stop; he didn’t live too far away from DeShawn. He was swiftly followed by JayVaughn, Hunter and then finally Spike who had decided to situate himself directly behind the driver's seat.

”One rule; if you touch that radio imma whup all y’all asses; ya feel me?”

”Don’t touch the radio. Got it.” Jax replied to the comment, which Jax couldn't work out if it was a threat or just banter. Jax chose threat. In reality, Jax had been very reluctant to go to this party. He had started off by creating excuses about homework and study, but those lies fell through quickly. After speaking to his parents, they actually pushed him to go, almost setting a curfew to force him out of the house.

Essentially being forced to go, Jax didn’t feel the most relaxed. Spike had managed to arrange for him to get a lift, but it was with DeShawn and a few others that he wasn’t always the best with. Still, it was a ride there. The entire trip Jax focused on staying silent, looking out of the window and building a mental map of the route so if need be he could walk back. He still felt nervous and had to think of something to strike a conversation. He didn’t exactly have many hobbies to talk about so he just picked a topic.

”Wonder how aggressive Colin is going to be this year? From what I gathered things aren’t exactly going well… not that I actively try to discover what goes on in his life...”

”Things are never going well for Colin Gallagher young’un. Boy is chaos wrapped up, yo”

"I don't know. The impression I get is that this year he doesn't have anything to lose. It's the final year. Been thinking of borrowing Spikes Knight armour just incase" Jax replied with a soft but concerned chuckle.

“Why da fuck are we talkin’ about that buzzkill?” Behind the driver’s seat, holding onto it not because he needed to, but because he couldn’t help himself and shake it like a child, Spike leaned over JJ and peaked at the two in the front, “Only good vibes in this car, got it? Which reminds me…”

Pulling back, he dug in his jean jacket and took out a flask, immediately tossing it on Jax’s lap, “You know what we’re not going to do? Be pussies. Drink up mother fuckers, locate your dicks, and use them” Spike had more energy than usual and part of it was because he'd already started pregaming in the trailer. He needed to feel good not only because he was ignoring the inevitable reality that Minty officially dumped his ass and fucked off somewhere without telling him, but also because this was the first party of the year. If there was one thing he was going to do, it was find himself a little hottie and tell her to suck him. If he didn’t achieve this goal tonight, why live?

”Spike's right," JayVaughn chimed in from the backseat, the light from his cell phone illuminating his face. All this talk of Colin had reminded him of what had happened a few days prior, and it wasn't really something that JJ wanted to be thinking about on a night like this one. He was trying to have fun, not worry about whatever drama Colin was about to get himself wrapped up in that year. "Super good vibes only. Tonight's gonna be a movie, fellas."

As Hunter glanced up from his phone, which didn’t have anything that exciting holding his attention, he cracked a small smile at JJ’s comments. He had mostly ignored whatever Jax and Spike were talking about. He caught the mention of Colin’s name, but he wasn’t listening well enough to know why they were mentioning his friend. Maybe it was about how Colin made Jax’s life a little difficult, or maybe it was about how Spice broke Colin’s nose.

Who was to really say.

Hunter didn’t want to let on why he wasn’t feeling like himself. With all the years Ricky made him feel like shit, he became skilled in hiding it, so he could fake a smile for their sake. So he did. His grin carried him into a false excitement that unleashed an unprompted “Woo!” following JJ’s comments. “Maybe you’ll finally get that pussy you want, Jay,” Hunter egged his friend on, teasing him with a shoulder nudge.

It was then that JJ couldn't help but stifle a laugh as he returned his attention to his cell phone. "Ight man, chill out," He said, shaking his head. "Maybe I'm not tryna focus on that tonight. Maybe I'm just tryna have a good time with my boyssss." Of course, anyone who knew JJ like 3 of the boys in that car did, knew he was definitely bullshitting.

”Listen yo” Dee began as he stopped at a red light. ”I may just be a humble motherfucker with a big ass dick and I ain’t all that humble but even I know the day Jay gets his hole is gonna have different type of energy mos def”

The giant then turned around for a second to look at the Knights mascot ”Little man, you shake that chair again imma shove that helmet you wear up your ass sideways” He turned back to the road as the light turned green and carried on towards a side of town he definitely didn’t belong. The closer the car edged towards the Liberty half of town, the more anxious of a feeling began to permeate in Dee’s gut. He needed that fucking flask after Jax.

DeShawn placed his large hand on Jax’s chest in a hearty slap and motioned to the flask on his lip. ”Get your taste on, young’un. Take that edge off, you with the Boys now. So who you got tonight fellas? I saw Spike getting his flirt on with that redhead first day back. Jayvo finally gonna make a move on someone that’s not from Palmsville?”

Jax simply looked down at the flask that was now in his hands. Nerves somewhat taking over his muscles as he debated if he really wanted to open it. He carefully removed the lid of the flask and raised it towards his nose. He didn’t even need to raise it all the way up before the whiff of alcohol reached his nostrils, causing the geeky guy to gag slightly and immediately return the lid back to the flask. ”Oh god… No thank you” He sputtered out in between coughs. ”Might try something a bit lighter at the party” He would then lift the flask and hold it out, ready for someone to take it off him.

Since Spike had enough prior to coming in this car, he’d let his boys get their drink on and instead innocently batted his eyes, addressing the driver, “Damn, Dee, that’s gay. Don’t shove anything up my ass.” After leaning back, Spike felt his phone in his pocket, yet no vibration. No text from her. No call. No nothing. “I’d be okay with any Liberty babe. They’re next level hot. Like JJ said, tonight’s gonna’ be a movie and I hope it’s the kind of movie where tits are out!”

"I don't know about some of these Liberty chicks," JJ said with a shrug of his shoulders as we reached his hand out in Jax's direction and took the flask in his own hands. "Yeah they're next level hot but they just seem so... uppity. Most of em, anyway. I doubt you'll be able to charm any of them forreal... but maybe I'll get lucky anyway. I was thinkin' about trying to hit up that Miki girl. Or that one blonde girl I got Bio with... Olivia something."

It was after JJ finished speaking that he finally took a quick sip from the flask he'd taken from Jax; The burn in his chest that came afterwards made him almost instantly regret it. "Shit, y'all know I don't drink like that. What the fuck is in here?" JJ said, disgust written all over his face. Regardless, the young man took another sip of the gross liquid before replacing the cap and tossing it into Hunter's lap (to which he took a hefty swig), figuring that he'd push through the bad tastes that night for the sake of having a little fun.

Glancing over to the boys next to him, Spike looked past Jay to his best friend. Something was off with Hunter but Spike wasn’t clever enough to pinpoint a reason. Not just today. He’s been off this whole week. Spike could be overthinking this, but he’d like to think he knew when his friend’s smile was fake as fuck. As per usual, Spike didn’t go into it. At least not now while they were with their friends.

If Hunter and Spike had one thing in common, neither of them liked making people worry so one hid his problems with a smile and the other? Spike chose to never change. If he was always hyper, always talking about girls, and always being goofy, no one would ever suspect that he actually was worried and he knew tonight he wasn’t just going to get fucked up. He was likely going to get self destructive. Minty leaving triggered something he was pretty good at burying, so he knew, tonight was going to be stupid and not the good kind of stupid.

”Miki...” DeShawn let his mind wander to try and place a face to the name. ”Little Asian body? She be like the Liberty Queen from word I got from round the way. Good luck with that one Jayvo, little miss gonna eat you for breakfast with her caviar and champagne”

The influx of the rich, wealthy and beautiful had triggered complicated feelings for Dee. He didn’t trust easily and being born with a silver spoon in your mouth was not the best way to earn his trust. A big part of him wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and another part of him wanted to rob them blind but this was not Baltimore anymore and he had turned over a new leaf, for the most part anyway.

He glanced back in his mirror to a silent Hunter and he was hit with a pang of worry. Quinn wasn’t normally this quiet on a ride to a party unless he was upset or perturbed by something. He had seen that dead look in his brothers eyes way too many times. Was he having issues with the old man again? Dee knew better than to ask and Hunter knew where the big man was if he needed it. It wouldn’t be the first time and he doubted it would be the last that Hunter dealt with some shit by himself.

”Shit, y’all’s need to be vibing; we nearly had fucking Rico in this car with us tonight” DeShawn quickly shifted the subject to add a little more levity. ”Love the mad bastard but he been going on for days about some stuff he released on Spotify. Now I ain’t gonna lie, shit is tight but brother needs to cool his jets. Not everyone into that Camilla Cabello shit...though I mean, I would though ya feel me? That girl is fine”

“That’s too bad about Rico, though. Probably would have been better off being on the other side of a car. Dude nearly got floored on the first day.” Hunter recalled seeing Rico — and his skateboard — nearly getting creamed and not in the way he imagined Suave Rico would prefer. “And you’re right, Dee.” Hunter cracked a smile when Dee switched the topic rather swiftly to that curvaceous babe, Camila Cabello. “I’m not into her music—” Not that Hunter would openly admit that he’s listened to Real Friends and Shameless a few times this week, “—But man, that booty got enough real estate for a few dudes.” Hunter grinned and laughed, shifting his eyes on Spike. “You’d tap that, right, Spike?”

“Bruh,” Spike had dazed out momentarily the moment Rico was brought up. Fuck that guy. But with the mention of booty, Spike was back to his daily schedule program and widely grinned, “I’d make that booty feel like a temple. Sacred as fuck. Like, booty, booty, booty, booty rockin’ everywhere!” which reminded him of someone. Lightly punching Jay’s arm, Spike challenged him, “That Liv girl got a nice ass, man! I bet I can touch it before you.”

”And on that note!” Dee instantly regretted starting this conversation. He was all for the taming of the ladies but shaming and objectifying was not something he agreed with and with newcomer Jax in the car he didn’t want to leave a bad first impression. He turned up the radio of the old Ford just as it pulled onto a new street that it had never driven before.

The houses were huge and majestic looking things and there was one at the far end of the long street, pulsating with neon lights; that was their destination, a McMansion soon to be impregnated with the Boys. ”Motherfuck me we ain’t in Rosefell anymore” As a familiar song began to play over the speakers, DeShawn started to tap his fingers rhythmically on the steering wheel. ”Aw yeah, you already know what it is”

On cue, the rest of the teens in the car began to bounce around like ping pong balls to the majestic beat of the Backstreet Boys classic; Everybody. The windows of the 4x4 rolled down with a Boy sticking their head out of each one, singing along at the top of their lungs. Tonight was the first step into a new world and the Boys were ready to blow that fucking world up, Rosefell style. Pulling up outside the neon mansion, the five young men piled out onto the street and stormed the party with smiles on their faces.

Tonight was gonna be a movie alright.

Tonight was probably going to be a mistake. Cade had an inherrent distrust of the Liberty alum, just because they were from there. He had declined to get the free extra credit to act as a tour guide, and you can interpret it for yourselves if it's out of principle or boredom. But, a party is where the whole wealthy asshole group thing might pay off. Good drinks,at least some good company probably, and he would be lying to himself if the girls from Liberty weren't as extremely hot as they were stuck-up.

Then again, Rosefell is a total shitshow. That's undeniable. Like, the whole place screams apathy. Going from whatever private school money laundering gifted kid program to Rosefell must be the biggest possible culture shock. But man, just the drama of it all, already on day one.

So yeah, anyway. The party was on. Besides, if there's one thing, and it can't possibly be more, that Rosefell can be proud of or at least pretend to be, it's the football team. A successful excuse to get shitfaced is the perfect compensation for attending. And Cade had even dressed up for it! Well, he had put on a thrifted leather jacket on good condition over this shirt with some ripped dark jeans and sneakers. Fancy shit. He was also carrying his backpack with him, with a bottle of vodka inside, because you show up at a random dude's house for a party, you might as well bring a housewarming gift. He had, um, collectivized it from a store but he had to be honest, he was 90% sure that label was NOT on Russian. Maybe polish? He hoped it was at least drinkable.

Having taken the bus to the closest convenient stop, which was too far away for his taste, Cade was walking to Christian's place with this sick tune blasting from his earbuds, and just pondering shit. Was he going to get pass-out shitfaced or piss-off-the-Liberty-chicks shitfaced? Did he bring enough pre-rolls to last? Who was the most likely to get their shit kicked in? Was the music going to be good or at least passable? Probably not but one can only hope he'd get numb enough to stop noticing. In all honesty, despite it being a party and him willingly choosing to be there, it did feel a bit like a representation of how shitty senior year was going to be. Like, he only had disaster on his mind for both, yet he's still partaking and only one of the two disaster would at least be entertaining.

"Yup, that's the right mindset you stupid piece of shit." he muttered to himself as he was finishing a cig. He was getting closer to the mansion- he could tell by how much the place was glowing. Honestly, the house was probably amazing before it was decorated to look like it was radiating synthwave from its very essence. But yet it kind of proved his point. Decent folks don't live that good. He started fumbling for the bottle in his backpack to have it ready, wrestling with the other stuff he had the habit of putting in there just to feel the weight on his back when carrying it as he was getting closer to the place.

Eleazar Sapohznik

Eleazar had been slated to grill for the party; whether it was because he wanted to, or due to the fact that he was the only one who was extremely good at it so far remains to be seen. He had brought quite a few packs of barbeque and hotdogs for the grilling, as well as a whole box of charcoal as fuel, though the latter had been brought to the party by his younger sister, Alessia. He had to keep a close watch on the finished grilled meats, as the threat of Alessia consuming them as soon as he put them down loomed over them like a sword of Damocles.

For this occasion, Eleazar had a more or less casual attire, wearing a black shirt, a pair of jeans, sneakers, and a green hoodie with the Wings of Freedom crest from Attack on Titan printed on the back. He often says that his spirit Titan is the Jaw Titan, though the reason why remains to be determined by absolutely no one. After all, he was very eccentric and a massive nerd, at least in comparison with the other folks in Rosefell High… or in Liberty, for that matter. For that reason, not a lot of people could relate to him… not that he minds.

The other Rosefellians and the Libertarians soon began to arrive, some of whom he already knew. Jaxtyn, Spike, JJ, Hunter, and Deshawn came in together; it appears that they had formed their own little merry troupe. Then there was Colin and Rico… the latter of whom seemed to be committing another of his antics. "Typical Colin…" Eleazar scoffed as he continued in his grilling business. "Sasageyo, sasageyo, shinzou sasageyo…"

Eleazar then shoved a grilled hotdog into a pair of buns, and handed it towards a grateful girl from Rosefell. It appears that this will be a more or less normal affair. Hopefully no one spikes the punch, or else they're going to get in trouble...

Currently, Samantha had a tad bit of resentment toward her friend, Jo, for dragging her along to some stupid Rosefell party. Originally, Samantha had planned to relax with her crowd and play some League of Legends for her subscribers and followers to enjoy and watch. But instead, due to Jo’s insistence, she agreed to attend this party on the stipulation that Jo queue up with her when this party ended.

Samantha didn’t plan on staying long, but she wanted to at least humor Jo.

”So remind me… why are we going to this party, again? Full of people I don’t know?

Jo looked up at Sam and gave her this big ol’ grin, this is going to be the biggest party in the world, so not going would make them outcasts. She fixed the sleeves of her black jacket which was over her gray hoodie, then patted her ripped black jeans, and tapped her white rubber shoes on the concrete.

Come on, this is the biggest party in all of Rosefell and it’s hosted by a Liberty guy so you probably know him.

Jo then moved to be face to face with Sam and held her by her wrists, she pulled her down a little bit with little to no force and smiled at her.

Who knows what will happen? Sometimes you just gotta go and see what happens.

”...really?”

Who would be hosting a party of this magnitude for Rosefell kids of all people? Samantha rolled her eyes, trying to process the audacity of such a bizarre gesture.

”Well… I guess Rosefell kids should see how we party… even if they’re from Rosefell….”

That’s the spirit!” Jo called out.

Jo raised her fist in the air and wrapped her arms around her to give her a hug since she agreed to do so. Jo’s smile just grew and as soon as she pulled away from Sam she continued.

Show me how Liberty parties go! Rosefell parties are 50/50… Well 60/40-... 70/30… Big chance it sucks… 90/10.

Jo then started leading Sam towards the sea of people and she really wishes that she is going to have fun.

At this point Samantha just felt plain bad for Jo, considering she had likely never experienced what an actual party was like. The hug was a nice touch, and definitely did contribute a bit when it came to Samantha’s mood. It was hard to be frustrated around someone as spunky and energetic as Jo, and eventually her insistence wore down at her lack of enthusiasm and pumped just a tinge of excitement into Jo.

”Alright, alright. Just… bring us to your friends and I’ll try to show you a good time.” Samantha laughed, ”But you guys will have a good time without me. We know how to party anyway.”

Jo then sped up the pace, moving forward deeper into the crowd of people, she stopped in place for a moment after finding themselves a little place to breathe in. She stood on the tips of her toes and moved around to see if she could see anyone she knew.

Uhh...” She let out, “I can’t see anyone I know…

That was not exactly the truth since he saw her boys Dee and JJ pull up with the other boys and she knew all too well to not break up that band.

Maybe we can just mess about and see what happens…?” Jo said, not entirely sure what to do in this situation.

Samantha looked at Jo curiously. Messing about? What did Jo have in mind when it came to that? Samantha put her hands on her hips, tilting her head slightly.

”What did you have in mind? What’s your definition of ‘messing about’?”

You know...” She then swayed from side to side gesturing over to the drinks table. “You know, just… Get… Hammered.” She said, wiggling her shoulders a little, Jo did not take too much to get drunk but she is not as much of a lightweight compared to others. She started moving towards the drinks table, hoping Sam was right behind her.

If I get drunk… Uh… Sorry.” She said, followed by a soft laugh, she already knew how much of a mess she will be if she gets hammered.

”You can’t be that bad drunk.” Samantha laughed, before coming up behind Jo at the drinks table. She took a look at the table, wondering what exactly could be made or drank from this table.

”How about you… make me a drink? We can have our first Rosefell party drink together?”

You’d be surprised.

She moved to the table and looked around, when Sam asked her to make her a drink, she was quite unsure since most of her drinks were just the ones she picked up. She picked up this and that and ended up with two cups of some weird concoction. She looked at it before taking a sip, she expected the worst but was greeted with something sweet.

Here, don’t know what it could be but, Hey! I made you a drink and that’s what you asked me to do!” she exclaimed, handing her the cup of the Jocohol™ and laughed as she kept sipping at it. She then looked up and Sam and had the brilliant idea of, “You met my friends! Can I meet yours?” She asked, raising her voice so she could hear her over the music.

Watching Jo make the drinks, Sam couldn’t help but to peer over her shoulder to see what exactly was happening. Jo definitely seemed like she was hard at work, too hard at work… as a matter of fact Sam felt like Jo was unsure what she was doing. But, nevertheless, she did ask Jo for a drink at the end of the day.

Taking the drink from Jo’s hands once she was done, Sam took a sip and immediately started coughing. Good lord, what did Jo put in this? ”Oh my god.” Samantha coughed, What the fuck did you put in here… holy shit!” Samantha continued to cough as she heard something about meeting some Liberty people.

”If they’re here, sure. But I wanna know what the hell you put in here first.”

Uhh… Kahlua, rootbeer...A-A… A tootsie roll.” She replied, laughing her ass off at this point, that drink was so stupid but it surprisingly was not bad. Her laugh was contagious as she kept at it, she then asked, “You don’t like it? I’ll take it.” She added, holding out her hand, she was getting hammered earlier than expected. She hoped her aunt would not care too much.

”So that’s what it tastes like?” Samantha nodded, before looking at Jo. Samantha simply put a hand out gently push her hand away, ”I never said I wasn’t-cough-a fan.”

You’re coughing like you’ve been smoking for 15 years straight.” Jo joked, was it because Sam could not handle her drinks? If that was the case, that is pretty cute.

Well then superstar, can you take one sip without coughing?” She challenged, hoping to see if Sam is a bigger lightweight than Jo.

”Shut up, Jo!” Samantha chuckled, before hearing about Jo’s challenge. It was a dangerous challenge for her to undertake considering the (not so) possibility that Samantha was not able to handle her alcohol. ”Bet.” Samantha said, before clutching the cup in her hands and taking a sip. Approximately two seconds passed after Samantha took the sip before she immediately started coughing.

Jo is just having a good time, Samantha is great company and she wishes that everyone has someone like her in their lives. Jo felt full, full of love and for that moment, all her troubles were going away, and it was all thanks to this one person. Jo watched as Sam failed the challenge and she shook her head.

Alright superstar, you’re turning out to be a bigger lightweight than I am.

Samantha sarcastically sneered at Jo, before giggling.

”Listen, that just means I need less booze to have fun. Nothing wrong with that!”

Alright then! Let’s get hella hammered!” She replied, Jo took her cup and took the largest swig anyone should ever take.

Woooo!” She yelled out, raising her arms, everything was starting to get a little hazy now and Jo did not care.

A @metanoia & @KatKook Collaboration
Featuring The Parks

Jackson had texted Miki that he would pick her up for the party, he got dressed in classic Jackson fashion before making his way downstairs, he was halted by Hyeong-in, the Park sibling’s personal butler. He looked Jackson up and down before giving him a thumbs up, Jackson smiled and did a quick bow of thanks before continuing his descent down the stairs. He pulled up his phone and started shooting texts at Miki.

From: 박정해
Be there in 10

Be ready or I’m going without you.

The following dialogue is spoken in Korean.
As he turned the corner, he came face to face with his father. He gulped as he adjusted the watch on his wrist. His gaze stared deep into Jackson, his hands pressed against his back as he spoke.

"Where are you going?" The man asked, pacing his way slowly towards Jackson who was standing still like a deer in headlights.

T-The party… I-I told you about, is tonight...” Jackson replied, struggling to get through that sentence. The man then nodded placing his hand on Jackson’s shoulder; Jackson did not dare look at the man, he kept looking straight trying to avoid eye contact with the man.

"Alright..." His father said, "Knowing parties like these, I do not expect to hear from you tonight, but if I do not know where you are by breakfast tomorrow..." The man let out a smile and started walking away, "You know what’s coming to you..." After a few paces, he looked over his shoulder, "Are we clear Jeong-hae?" Asked the man, his intimidating nature was something Jackson never got used to.

Yes sir.” He replied with a nod.

"Good, now enjoy yourself." The man said before walking off. Jackson was expected to enjoy himself after that? He shook his head and looked down at his phone, he really hoped Miki would be able to make this night better. He made his way to the garage and slid in his Mercedes, he then made his way towards Miki’s house. Come to think of it, Jackson has never been to Miki’s house, perhaps the household would not be as different?

The following dialogue is no longer spoken in Korean, unless specified.

About ten blocks away from where Jackson Park lived was another Park family, but unlike the aggression felt from his father, Miki Park’s family wasn’t anywhere close to that nor was Miki herself.

Just ten blocks away, along Dublin Road, there was a massive house that sat upon over 9 acres of land. Surrounded by nothing but the greenest foliage that even surpasses evergreens. The house itself can only be reached by going down a long, narrow road that has enough space for a one-way (there is another road that one can take to leave the property).

The shadow the Lambert-Park house cast, even from far away, is both awe-inspiring and daunting. From the grass cut every week on the side of the road and the trees on both sides, its silver and blue palette accents the Columbus architecture in such a complimenting way, it’s truly a marvel of modern architecture.

And as a car pulled up and the doorbell rang, the sound it gave off was like a symphony. It had a half-second delay of three separate rings.

The door opened and awaiting a no doubt-nervous Jackson PArk was not who he probably expected.

“Jackson, I presume?”

A tall, British man in a typical black and white suit with black tie and the visage of a man would be too hard to read, stood in front of the Korean teen. His old eyes scaled Jackson up and down without so much as flinching. He took in the boy, getting a feel for him. He judged what he wore with a slight mumble, which wouldn’t tell Jackson if he approved or not. It was simply one of those habits that people of his age had and they couldn’t quite control it.

Jackson was impressed by the land that had come to view, he looked around at how nicely kept and clean the house was and he let out a huge chuckle, this Park household is completely different to the Park manor he was used to. The Park manor he was used to had vines growing all over the place but still looked intimidating and grand.

He looked at the man that surprised him by the door, he straightened his coat, then brushed his hair to the side, and pushed in the glasses that were getting loose.

(Kr)Yes-...” He replied, the intimidation of this man made him reply in his native language but he quickly collected himself and fixed his mistake, “Yes, (formal) Mkiyoung-ah told you I was coming?” He asked.

He stood there and half-smiled. “She said you were formal like that.” He stepped to the side, walking about three steps before saying: “You can wait for her in the foyer. I’m sure Miss Park won’t be long, Jackson.”

Jackson quickly followed behind him, admiring the interior of the place, is there an ongoing theme with Park families in the US having well made interior architecture. He then stood there, he scoffed a little at the man when he said that Miki will not be too long, because Jackson highly doubted that. She loves Miki to death but she does like to take her time.

Alright...” He let out, a little bit of annoyance in his voice, he did say that if she was not ready he was going to go without her… So why hasn’t he? His feelings for her really did get the better of him, and after having those talks with her over the course of a few nights, he really loosened himself around her.

And five minutes later, Miki Park made herself known to a seated JAckson, who no doubt had waited longer than most would, but she was happy that he was still here. Miki despised being stood up and even though she and Jackson had a rather new friendship, she would have been deeply hurt if he left while she was putting the final touches on her outfit.

“I am so sorry I kept you waiting, Jackson!” Miki said as the sound of her heels sounded off in the acoustic-friendly foyer. She had a rather elaborate-looking red coat that covered a Chanel, strapless crop top, and black pants. “You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to decide on an outfit. And then there was my hair, makeup…” Miki stopped herself from rambling when she saw Jackson’s stylish outfit. “Wow. Talk about hot.” She found herself smiling at him, clearly approving of his choice of outfits.

Jackson could not help but stare when miki showed herself, his eyes locked to the girl coming down the hall. He stood up all wide eyed, and after he realised he was ogling her shook his head to snap himself out of it. He examined the outfit choice and nodded as he had his arms crossed, it was very Miki to be like this.

You’re lucky I didn’t leave.” He let out, “Then again, you did give me a pretty good reason not, the wait was… Substantial.” Jackson was never going to compliment anyone to their face, it was not something he did but it was always something he implied. When Miki complimented him he scoffed and let out a quick smile before going back to the classic Jackson stoicism.

I should have gone for charcoal instead of gray but here we are.” He said, gesturing at his outfit before straightening his Jacket. He then moved to stand beside her and faced the same direction she was facing, he held out his elbow and spoke. “Can we go?” He wanted to leave but he also would not oppose staying, after all, Miki will definitely be the one taking care of Jackson after he has a drink.

“Mm,” she hummed, giving him a quick once-over. “I think you made the right choice,” she said, taking his hand as they left the room. “Harrison! We’re leaving!” Miki yelled out to her butler as the door closed behind them.

Jackson gave Harrison a quick bow of respect before leading Miki to the car, he opened the passenger seat for her and after he closed the door behind her, he got in the driver’s seat and started the car. “Your butler’s nice, I got one back home too, has he also taken care of you since you were a kid?” He asked. He then shifted gears and made his way out of the driveway of the park household.

Harrison was nice? Miki thought, looking back at the house, knowing he was undoubtedly watching them as the car took off. She had never known Harrison Wentworth be nice to anyone but her, her father, and her best friends. So she had to wonder just exactly what kind of impression did Jackson make? That thought brought her to look at him. She smiled as

She looked ahead. “Since I was a kid?” She heard herself say, humming thoughtfully, “no, not since I was a kid. I mean, he’s been in service with us for about six years now. He can be a bit stern, but he has always looked out for me and been there when daddy is working and when mama isn’t able to break free from her operations.”

Jackson clenched the steering wheel tight after realising that maybe this was not the subject to talk about, he tilted his head for a split second before straightening itself again, perhaps he made a mistake when he said something, he just was not entirely sure what that mistake was. But when Miki talked about her butler being there when her parents are out, that really hit close to home to Jackson.

I get that, Hyeong-in has been with me since I was about knee high from a grasshopper, and with how my dad is, you already know how it is.” He let out, after that sentence he stepped harder on the gas to get there faster, he really wanted to get there quicker after that comment.

Miki barely heard what Jackson said after grasshopper because the sound of the engine basically made that task nigh impossible and she didn’t bother bringing it back up. And she maintained a similar take on any further conversation. She just let herself get lost in her social media - mainly Tik Tok and Instagram. She took a few selfies of herself, geo-tagged herself - basically did whatever she could to keep herself busy.

And then at some point, as the size of Christian’s house went from a small dot in the distance to a full-sized house, she smiled as Jackson stopped about three cars behind from the front door along the side of the road. “You ready?” She asked, opening the passenger side door and chose to leave her jacket in the car. That was for Harrison’s benefit, but they were at Christian Barker’s party. There was no need to be appropriate anymore.

Jackson unbuckled his seat belt and pushed up the gull doors on the car. She looked at the house and thought of the owner, Christian. He was alright, Jackson had underlying jealousy for the man but he was not going to let that show whenever he was around him. He looked at Miki and spoke before moving out the door.

Ready as I’ll ever be.” He then closed the door and moved himself to be beside Miki, he smiled at her and held out his elbow once more.

And as she took his arm, she made sure to wrap it tightly around hers, adding that extra level of assurance for Jackson.

As they strode through the door and the energy of the party consumed them both, the music sent Miki alive with a slight excited cheer.

The Parks have arrived.

Fiamma Giannulli, Aiden Howard, and Liv Howard
A @Venus and @Melissa Collaboration

Olivia Howard was going out tonight, and she was thrilled about it.

With her parents gone for the weekend doing god knows what, the girl’s usual 10pm curfew was decided null and she was free to join her brother and her classmates in their revelries. This evening’s gathering would mark one of the few and far between high school parties that she had ever attended and she couldn’t wait to let loose and raise a little hell for once. She had spent nearly an hour in front of her closet trying to find the perfect outfit to wear, and after a panicked call to Trixie (who would unfortunately not be in attendance), had finally settled on a sweet yet slightly showy shirt and skirt combo. After all, there was someone she wanted to impress and-

“Liv, will you hurry the fuck up? I said I wanted us to be fashionably late not actually late.” Aiden yelled up to his younger counterpart from the ground floor of the house, checking his brand new watch once more. Fiamma would be pulling up any minute to take them to Christian’s and he did not want to keep her waiting.

The blonde boy was looking forward to the party at Christian’s house. It sucked that Marcos couldn’t make it due to a family emergency, but this meant that Aiden could snuggle up a little closer to his girlfriend and no one would be there to question it or act the wiser. Fi never came out with him and the guys on the weekends, especially to parties, so it was an unexpected treat and excitement that he rarely felt. Since they had to keep things hush-hush for circumstances outside of his control, Aiden had to enjoy the little moments where things felt somewhat normal, like going to a party with his girl on his arm.

Moments later, Liv bounded down the stairs as quickly as she could, “Sorry, sorry, sorry,” she exclaimed for each step that she descended with urgency, reaching the bottom and looking at her brother. “I couldn’t decide what to wear.”

As she appeared, Aiden inspected his sister carefully, “...and you chose that?” he stated incredulously. The boy had ears and had heard the whisperings all week from some of his male classmates. According to them, his sister was a hot commodity (which was gross to think about), and ever oblivious and naive Liv clearly had no idea what she was getting herself into. He could have gone off on a tangent right then and there about the things that were wrong with her outfit- like how her midriff was exposed and her skirt was shorter than it should be- but he held back.

However, he knew that because she was a pretty girl and blessed with the same Howard genes that he had, she could’ve shown up in a paper bag to that party and still would receive the same unwanted attention. Anyone who was interested in her would make themselves known tonight when intoxication and ballsy decisions were at an all time high. So, while he was out having his own fun tonight, he would also be keeping a watchful eye on his sister. Swallowing his pride and his choice words, he simply nodded.

“Nevermind, Fi will be here any minute.” Aiden walked over to the kitchen counter where a quarter full plastic water bottle and a silver metallic flask sat and grasped both in his hands. He wasn’t stupid and knew his sister was going to want to drink, so he had taken the liberty of stealing some Grey Goose from their parent’s liquor cabinet for her, along with some of his dad’s good whiskey for himself. He passed the plastic bottle to Liv, “Take it slow and don’t drink it all at once. The last thing I need tonight is for you to land up on your ass...”

“I promise I won’t I-”

As if on queue, the familiar sound of the Fiat’s horn echoed through the Howard household. Behind the wheel was the girl Aiden was just speaking about, looking equal parts nervous and excited at the endless possibilities stretching out in front of her. Tonight would be the very first party Fiamma would be attending that wasn’t a birthday party for one of her friends. Loud, raging events of any kind weren’t Fi’s cup of tea. But it was her senior year, after all, and one of her last chances to not only attend a stereotypical teenage event, but to do so with her boyfriend by her side. With Marcos’ absence, nobody would think twice about Fi sticking to Aiden like glue, or him having his arms around her, or them sneaking off someplace more quiet and cozy for an extended period of time. Although they’d still have to keep up appearances, Fi and Aiden knew it would be easier to get away with things when the people around them would be too high or drunk to notice.

Liv smirked at her brother, “Thank god she’s driving and not you.” The blonde girl skipped towards the front door and didn’t hesitate to throw it open, revealing Fi’s car sitting idly in front of their house. She waved before turning back to Aiden. “Time to go, lover boy!”

The boy rolled his eyes before shutting off the main lights and following behind his unusually peppy younger sister, locking things up behind them as they exited the house. He watched as Liv tried to make the run for shotgun, but unamused tutted and motioned to the backseat. Like hell was she going to make him sit in the back, and in his own girlfriend’s car for that matter! Sliding into the passenger's seat, Aiden offered Fiamma a warm smile before kissing her on the cheek. “Hey babe.”

“Hi pumpkin!” the redheaded girl cheerfully greeted her boyfriend, shifting around in her seat so she could return Aiden’s kiss and wrap him up in a quick, tight hug before turning her attention to their passenger for the night. “Hi, Livvy! You look gorgeous! I love the outfit choice; it really suits your figure!”

Liv grinned widely from the backseat, “Really? I was a little worried it was a bit too much, but I’m glad you like it.” From the moment that the blonde girl had met Fiamma, there was an immediate connection present. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the two had a very similar sweet and gentle demeanor, but they clicked instantly after Aiden introduced them. “Your makeup looks so nice!” She complimented, getting a good look at the redhead’s enhanced facial features.

“She’s right, you look beautiful.” Aiden suavely added in with a wink that only his girlfriend could see. If it weren’t for his sister being in the car, he wouldn’t have been able to keep his hands off of her…

Fiamma didn’t miss the way her boyfriend had winked at her out of his sister’s line of sight. It was a gesture that would seem innocent to some, but one that the young woman knew had a very suggestive meaning when shared between them. Her cheeks immediately flushed as brightly as her hair, and she instinctively looked away to compose herself for a few seconds.

“Thank you both so much!” the flustered Fiamma finally replied, offering Liv a beaming smile before turning to face Aiden again. “Are we ready to go?”

“Ready whenever you are!”

With Aiden and Liv’s approval and the help of her boyfriend’s trusty GPS, Fiamma pulled out of the Howard’s parking lot and set out on her journey to Christian Barker’s house. To Fi’s surprise, the distance in between her house, Aiden’s house and the party host’s house were all less than fifteen minutes, which meant that they had enjoyed a healthy five song jam before reaching their destination. A line of cars was beginning to form at the host’s driveway, but the young woman behind the wheel somehow miraculously managed to score an empty spot just perfect enough for her little Fiat to fit in. If they had been driving Aiden’s jeep, finding parking near the house would’ve been nearly impossible.

Once the car had come to a full stop and she’d killed the engine, Fiamma turned to look at both Howard siblings occupying the passenger seats. “Alright, guys. As your super trusty designated driver, I’m not planning on drinking tonight so that I can get us all home safely later on. BUT! If at any time any of you feel like leaving early for whatever reason, just come get me and we’ll get out of here. No questions asked.” The last bit was mostly directly at Olivia rather than Aiden, but Fi wanted the blonde to feel comfortable in reaching out to her if she found herself in any trouble during the party.

And the blonde girl did appreciate Fiamma’s motherly guidance, offering her an understanding nod in return. “You’re the best Fi, thanks again for driving!” Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Aiden motioning with his head to the party, less than politely asking his sister to scram. Getting the message without exchanging words, Liv grabbed her phone and her water bottle before scooting over and opening the car door, the loud music from Christian’s house bleeding into the night. “I’m going to head in, I’ll find you both in there.” Her white keds hit the pavement and the girl took a deep breath before shutting the door behind her and making her way to the front of the house.

With his sister having disappeared, Aiden glanced back over at his girlfriend and grinned like a maniac. “Now that she’s gone…” He leaned over and gave Fiamma a proper kiss on the lips, having been driven mad during the ride over as the street lights highlighted her best features.

As soon as his lips crashed into hers, Fiamma’s hand immediately went to the back of Aiden’s head, letting her fingers get tangled up in his blond locks as she returned his kiss with the same amount of passion. Having to keep her hands and suggestive opinions to herself during the short car ride had been a struggle, but now that they were alone she was finally free to speak the unfiltered thoughts running through her mind.

“You look so fucking good tonight,” Fi muttered breathlessly, having pulled away from him just enough to talk. “I can’t wait to take these off you later,” she cheekily admitted, gently pulling on the collar of his shirt.

Aiden didn’t know what had gotten into his girlfriend- the swearing, the sexual banter- but whatever it was he liked it. He smirked before letting his lips find their way to her exposed neck, pressing gently, “You know, we don’t have to go in,” He kissed again, “We could just stay here, make later now,”

Fiamma let out a frisky little giggle at both her boyfriend’s proposition and the goosebumps covering her skin at the feeling of his lips on her neck-- in exactly the right spot to make magic happen. “If we were at that nice little private spot near the lake, I would totally go for it. But as much as I would love to just climb into that backseat and let you have at it, the last thing we need is to have one of our classmates somehow finding us right in the middle of it,” she said somewhat sadly, reluctantly pulling away from the young man before he could make things any harder than they already were. “However, I do have something that will maybe help from any disappointment you might be feeling right now…” she trailed off, pointing at her trench coat and wiggling her eyebrows suggestively at Aiden.

“Ugh, fine. You’re no fun, babe.” The boy groaned, removing his lips from her neck as she pulled away and leaned back in the passenger's seat. But the promise of something else exciting piqued his interest, “Go on…” Aiden prompted, hoping that he was picking up what she was putting down.

Eyes shining mischievously, Fiamma slowly unbuttoned her coat to ultimately reveal a beautiful, long-sleeved white romper with a delicate rose pattern and a surprisingly plunging neckline that reached the middle of her pale chest. It was, without a doubt, the boldest outfit the redhead had ever worn to date.

“I mean, I know it isn’t as sexy or revealing as the outfits that many of the girls out here will be wearing, but I think it looks good. Right?” she asked Aiden with uncertainty, nervously biting her lip as she became suddenly overwhelmed with second thoughts at her daring wardrobe choice.

Aiden’s eyebrows raised and his eyes grew wide at the sight of his gorgeous girlfriend’s choice of outfit. She was hot- never had he seen her wear something that was so low cut, but she looked damn well good in it. He tried to find the words to describe to her what he thought, but instead of just complimenting her, he leaned in for another kiss and simply spoke what was on his mind. “Fuck, I wish people knew we were dating so I could show you off the way you deserve to be.”

Beaming, the young woman gave him another quick kiss. “Ugh, I know. I’m dying to let everyone know you’re mine. But who knows what will happen tonight? We can always get into some trouble together and say the weed or alcohol made us do it if people ask later,” she suggested with a chuckle.

“You’ve definitely got a point… let’s just see where the night takes us. Shall we?’

And with that being said, the lovebirds finally mustered up the will to leave their secret sanctuary and made their way into the party, with Fiamma trailing behind Aiden like a lost, scared little puppy.

For the last week, Billie Grey had been trying her hardest to get used to Rosefell High and the shitty part of town that surrounded it - but she simply could not.

The class rooms were crowded. The curriculum was equivalent to that which she had learned her Freshman year. The ceiling leaked in most of the classrooms. She was certain that she had seen a teacher high on more than one occasion. The food looked and smelled absolutely horrible most days, and to top it all off the principal was a complete idiot.

Hopefully the trashy appearance of Rosefell High would improve over the course of the next few months. From what Billie had observed, multiple Liberty parents had donated thousands to Rosefell - and the improvements were already starting to show.

The young woman had attended tonight's football game on her quest to see what all Rosefell had to offer, and to be honest the football team seemed like the best part of the school. The food at the concession stands was amazing - though slightly greasy - and the soda fountain drinks were surprisingly among the best she had tasted. Her favorite part, however, was the enthusiasm and good vibes surrounding it all. She’d never admit it, but Billie was happy that the Knights had won the game.

Billie had heard about the party from a fellow classmate. It seemed as if everyone was invited to Christians party - as was the usual.

Once she had gotten home, Billie had showered in hopes of getting the smell of the football game off of her. Sitting in the stands had proven to do nothing but allow her clothes to soak up the stench of the people surrounding her.

Absolutely disgusting, she thought.

Once out of the shower, Billie took the time to perform her hair care routine, and apply her makeup. Her outfit for the night was a simple one - high waisted jeans and a white crop top with white sneakers. Some girls would have spent hours fussing over what to wear tonight, but not Billie. She looked good in whatever she wanted to wear. Besides, she’d probably be spending more time in her bikini anyway.

With the full intention of getting black out wasted, Billie had called herself and Nicholas an Uber. Once they had arrived, the Grey twins stepped out of their respected chariot as they took in the disco ball that was Christians house.

Billie had been to his house before, but Christian always picked a different theme for his parties - leaving Billie completely in awe every time she pulled up.

People were piling through the door as quick as they could. Freshman, Seniors, and everyone in between were shoving their way through the door. Billie could have sworn that she saw a few dudes that looked old enough to be in college out of the corner of her eye.

Once through the door, the short girl did her best to maneuver through the crowd without being trampled. Sadly, she was unable to prevent herself from being shoved into a guy who she didn’t know. Said guy was also holding a bottle of vodka and looked like complete shit in the sort of way that people with hard lives looked.

Nonetheless, Billie recoiled, looking the stranger up and down from head to toe. ”Ew. Gross,” she scoffed.

This. This was the element. This is where Melissa Elliott established her power. This is where she ruled as queen. This was her domain.

So nice of one of the new boys to set things up like this on their first weekend as a Knight. It boded well for their future.

Granted, she was surprised when Christian introduced himself to her during the week. Not only as one of the star imports from *spit* Liberty, but as someone who wanted to start the year off right. That was a sentiment she could get behind. Especially when he laid out his "party budget." Melissa couldn't remember the last time she had seen that much money in one wad of cash, all geared towards her own hedonistic desires. Word had already spread among the Liberty kids that Melissa was the girl to talk to in order to get things done. This was pleasing.

Of course, she wasn't doing it alone, that was her secret. Sure, she had the necessary ID, but she couldn't stash $1000 worth of booze by herself. So Alycia was brought in to begin filling up the minivan with the legally yet illegally purchased booze that Melissa had bought from about a 20 mile radius around the greater Columbus area to avoid suspicion. Christian had given her access to the place prior to the party in order to get the libations where they needed to be, so the two main Thorns ditched last-period English in order to get everything transported. Then it was back to Rosefell to properly contribute to another Knights victory to start the season. Of course, the Stars were always a lovely homecoming opponent. So Melissa knew this was going to be a perfect celebration on multiple fronts.

Upon arriving at Christian's castle though, that's when she fully realized what bringing all this money into the equation was going to do for the social life at Rosefell. This was no rinky-dink party by the lake. Good thing too, because the minivan would have probably been sunk at that point. No, this was all out. Melissa had only seen things during the day, so the full scope of the neon blast that would be greeting guests was just hitting her now. She almost regretted turning up in casual clothing, because there were so many more options she had to shine under such lights. It was like some sort of crazy rave.

Not her forte, but hey, a party's a party.

Upon her entry, she of course had to stop by to thank the host for graciously arranging such a shindig. Christian was being a proper curator welcoming the early guests and Melissa smiled as she arrived, grazing his upper thigh with the edges of her fingernails, pressing enough to make sure the point was made. After which she immediately headed back to where she assumed the regular drinks were being hidden. A few choice bottles were being kept for any... private parties she may have planned in the future, but she would be happy to enjoy some of her second-tier selections at this part. Rico and Colin were there, so she took the opportunity to make sure her usual fixer was still good.

"Colin darling!" she exclaimed as she claimed a choice cooler for herself. "How's my favorite Gallagher boy doing?"

Colin turned away from Rico, holding the bottle of tequila in his hand, and took a sip from it, his blue eyes keeping a fixated connection with the Queen of Thorns. "That depends," he said, flashing her a smirk, "you gonna let me get your time of day later or you gonna blow me off as usual?"

A look of mock offense crossed Melissa's face. "I'm hurt! How could you think I could ever forget the man who has been there every time I needed him?"

Colin mocked her attempt at mocking him. "Who is to say really? We live in a mysterious world, your highness."

All the Queen could do was smirk. "Well at least you got the title right."

He laughed and took a quick sip of the bottle of tequila. "That's not the only thing I can do right," he said, winking.

"Don't have to prove that to me, Colin," she confirmed. "Maybe if you can make to the end of the night, I'll have a bit more than the time of day for you, hmmm?"

"It won't be a maybe, that much you can take to the bank." He confidently stated. Colin knew he could hold his own when it came to alcohol. Unlike most of the lightweights at their school, he knew how to pace himself. "Just be sure you're ready for me when I do."

"Always am, Colin," Melissa said with a wink. "That goes double for you too, Tiger," she added for Rico. "Anyway, you know where to find me."

Melissa confidently walked away, booze in hand. This was her domain, and she reigned supreme. It was time to enjoy the spoils of her rise. There was no one who could wreck this night in her mind.

What the hell am I doing here?

Alina wasn't the party type. She was the solitary type. At least, she was the keep things to a close group of friends sort of person. So what was she doing at the home of Christian Barker with triple-digit numbers of people milling around and enough booze to drown an army?

Maybe this week was tougher than she thought. Granted adjusting to everything was never going to be easy, but it seemed to be so much easier for Niki. Even if they didn't really want to talk about what happened on the first day of school. And Cas? Cas had his own plans. He seemed determined to enact them.

So where did that leave her?

Maybe that's why DeShawn's text made so much sense. Even if Christian knew her well enough to know how she felt about parties, Dee didn't know that. So when the football player sent that text, asking if she knew about the bash and that she was welcome to come along with him vouching for her, is that why she was willing to accept it so easily?

She didn't know. There were still no answers.

So here she was, grabbing a beer off the table, standing in back amidst a random mishmash of Liberty and Rosefell students, trying to figure out what she wanted to do. Again, she didn't know.

Maybe the bottom of the bottle will know.

There was an inherent fear in DeShawn whenever he attended parties like this.

In direct comparison to the sort of suaree’s that he attended back in his hometown, these Ohio raves were extremely tame. It was kids doing kid things and being all the better for it. Even after eighteen months, Dee had still yet to truly get used to this way of living. Whenever he rounded a corner, he still half expected to see bodies on the floor or for some white police officer to pistol whip him in the face for merely being black and in attendance of the party.

Still his fear was not rooted in racism and violence. The clear and present danger for Dee was keeping himself out of trouble. His aunt and uncle had made the conditions of his living with them very clear; stay out of shit, keep your mouth shut and your fists at your side and you will have a roof over your head. You wouldn’t know it but all of the above were incredibly arduous tasks for the linebacker. DeShawn was all but compelled to intervene when someone was in trouble. It had nearly gotten him killed before but his current track record was good, for the most part. A few fist fights here and there but nothing to report back to the guardians which was a good thing. Yet parties like this offered temptation and it took a hell of a lot to suppress the corner boy within.

As the Boys seperated to seek out booze, drugs, meats and companionship, Dee drifted to the corner of the room to get the lay of the land; a habit that stemmed from his old life. Keep your back to the wall, scope out all the exits, don’t let them see you sweat and don’t stand out. The last of those was difficult considering DeShawn looked like the Hulks baby brother and had done since he was fourteen. It was even worse prior to Rosefell. Not only was he tall and thick but he also had the sickest dreads, something that drew even further attention to him. For a brief moment, his mind wandered back to a different life, his heart beating fast and his fists clenched hard.

West Baltimore. Two Years Go.

He fought back tears as he sat and stared at the floor. The blood trickled down his forehead from where the blade had nicked his scalp and his father’s shadow loomed over him like an all encompassing storm.

DeShawn had been arrested; again. Not on the scene of course; he was too fast for that. They picked him up in school; easily identifying him as one of many young kids slinging dope on the corner thanks to his dreadlocks. Trey had warned him multiple times; don’t stand out. Once the police had gone, the Soulman had gotten to work. He wrestled his son to the floor and forcefully started hacking away at Dee’s hair with a kitchen knife until his locks were no more.

“You look like a real fucking man now”

Snapping back to reality; the big guy mapped out the ways in and out of the mansion; not something he’d ever considered he would ever do unless he was robbing the place. He saw his Boys starting up their usual Boy shit, Colin and Rico were plotting shit over by a drinks table. He had no doubt like so many other nights before this one he would end up dragging one or both of their asses out of the party, fucked out of their heads and in desperate need of an Uber.

Dee saw Melissa moving around her kingdom like the Queen she was and made a mental note to catch up with her later. It had been a week since their last rough and tumble and he wondered what was new in her life. Missy wasn’t the only game in town however as once his street anxiety began to subside, DeShawn began to look around the room for some company of the female variety.

Who wants to hang with the Boys when the girls dance so good?

As much as he tried, Hunter couldn’t bring himself to be as excited for this party as the rest of the boys were. Sure, if you put a drink in him, he’d probably smile, or if you gave him a joint, he’d probably relax more, but the truth was, his mind was too busy entertaining how fucking dreadful the week had gone one for. The truth was that Hunter kept thinking about how his ..what? Summer romance? Yeah, that’s what you would call it, not only went to his school, but thought he was ashamed of them.

Niki thought I was ashamed of them.

Well weren’t you? Aren’t you?

That was a question that Hunter asked himself repeatedly throughout the week. And repeatedly his answer wasn’t good enough to satisfy him nor his conscious. And after the hundredth time of revisiting it, Hunter decided not to ask himself anymore and focus on trying to enjoy his time with his bros.

Okay, one more time wouldn’t hurt: are you ashamed of Niki?

“No, I’m not,” he uttered quietly as the music muffled his voice from the others.

As they entered Christian Barker’s house, Hunter immediately side-stepped himself away from the boys. “Got a text--”

Liar, but go off.

“--I’ll catch up with you guys in a few.”

Hunter took out his phone just in case the others were seeing if he told the truth. He actually did go to his apps -- mostly Instagram. Specifically, Hunter checked his Wade account, wanting to see if maybe Niki had messaged him at all. Of course, per how life usually fucks him over after a strong couple of months, there was nothing.

His mind kept replaying that entire moment over and over again in his head. It was a broken record, a cow that was milked dry, but that didn’t stop him from obsessing over. Had he really been so caught up on the double life he lived as Hunter and Wade that he didn’t think once they’d collide, shit would hit the fan?

“Apparently I did,” he muttered.

His head was pointed down, eyes glued to his home screen. He didn’t see the person he bumped into until his chest collided with what he had to assume was the back of a shoulder because he felt himself tumble slightly forward and soon the sound of a glass bottle crashing to the ground caught his attention.

He groaned in a low, somewhat hoarse tone. “Sorry,” he said a bit louder, meeting the rather short brunette in the eyes -- well, he had to look down about nearly a foot as she was a lot shorter than he suspected. “I should have paid more attention.” Hunter couldn’t stop but gaze at her for a few. Old habits must die hard, because Hunter’s were already vertically tracing the girl from head to toe. Something about her seemed familiar, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. “Let me get you another beer. It’s the least I can do.”

Before she could respond or get a word in, Hunter took off into a brisk walk and went over to the nearest beverage table and grabbed not one but two bottles of beer. He capped off the bottle of both as he made his way back to the girl. “Here,” he said, extending his left arm forward so she could take the new, yet-to-be-destroyed beer in his left hand.

Mid pour of a half pint of tequila and mint, Enrique felt a large presence behind him. Now Rico was by no means a tall guy, in fact he was fairly short but in his experience there was only ever three guys who had that same sort of aura around him in such away which meant the figure could only be either his father, Sexual Chocolate or the one and only Colin Fucking Gallagher. Once he spoke there was indeed no doubt that it was the latter.

”Colin my brother man you shouldn’t have”

Rico took the bottle of Don Julio from the other boy and popped it open. He downed the half drink he was making without even blinking before starting to mix a new one with Colin’s “present”. ”Oh you know CG, the talent that will be here tonight, I’m spoiled for choice” He handed Rosefell resident drug dealer a back the bottle before beginning to mix another, not many people could stand with El Mariachi when it came to drinking but Colin was one of the few.

Before another word could be uttered, the two boys were joined by the Queen of Rosefell whom swiftly entered into a battle of wordplay and double entendres with Colin. Enrique watched with bated breath as they danced a tango around each other before she took her leave. Rico watched her go and tried to think back as to whether he had slept with her or not. It was highly possible and probable but then again, his memory was like a slice of Swiss cheese.

”Cuidado Colin, las espinas son afiladas” The troubadour began ”Those thorns are sharp, man”

“Yeah…” Colin absentmindedly said to Rico as he watched the dangerous queen confidently strut her stuff away. Blue eyes fixated on her cute butt until it disappeared into the chaos of the crowd, to which redirected his attention at Rico. ”But that’s the fun part.”Colin smirked and pat Rico’s shoulder, letting out a hyped chuckle. “She could cut me up and reduce me to shreds or I could rock her world later tonight. Or have you never played Russian Roulette?”

”Brother man who you talking to?” Rico shook his head as he took a sip from his concoction. It was true that he had partook in that very game way too much that it was bad for his health. ”So is that the goal tonight? For the thief to lay with the Queen in her golden bed chambers? I imagine there will be a few other knights to fight off my friend”

Enrique raised his glass in salute to the arrival of the Boys. He was lucky in that he had somehow managed to become someone who could float cliques and clubs. He could easily be standing with the walking talking bad mfer that was Colin and just the next be hanging with the jocks in Hunter and Dee. The he could float to the ethereal nerd side of Cael and Rae. He was a singing chameleon.

”If Missy doesn't want to play tonight, there’s a lot of other options, echar un vistazo” He motioned to the arrival of Sam and Jo at the same drinks table they were at. Though he hoped that Colin would not go over there; he had a soft spot for Jo as the two often played together at open mic nights and Gallagher would eat Herbalife. His eyes continued to point Colin around the room to the bevy of beauties that were arriving, including Liv, Billie and Alina.

Colin was observant enough to follow Rico’s gaze and he saw what he saw. Billie Jean Grey, that Nicholas’ twin sister. He always found it odd how pale Nicky boy was compared to the exotic beauty that Billie oozed. She was feisty, but that was right up Colin’s alley, though he heard rumors about her from a few of his associates from Liberty. Word traveled and he heard about her fight-over-flight personality. That wasn’t a dealbreaker, but given his recent run-in with her type, maybe not such a bright idea.

But then again, when did Colin ever listen to his northern head?

And then there was the new girl. He didn’t know her well enough, that skirt - hot damn, talk about an ass. “You were right, Rico,” Colin spoke up, chuckling more for himself, ]“a lot of potential here.” As soon as he said that, however, Colin let out a sigh, “But if the opportunity shows up, I’m going for the queen. Nobody is gonna get in my way.” His declaration came as he snagged whatever drink Rico created and took a sip and it lit him up more than any amount of coke and vodka could ever do, to which a very vocal “hot damn!” left his lips.

Rico was not one to “pick a target”, in fact he was much more a let the night take you where it may sort of guy. Still, he couldn’t help but be enamoured by the encroaching ladies that were beginning to fill up the house and the new faces he had yet to get to know did pique his interest; Billie and Liv especially. Tonight would be the perfect night to introduce himself. Though he worried somewhat that Ellie would be here somewhere and would see him doing Freako things. The last thing he wanted was to cause her any more pain than he already had. Shit he was way too sober in that moment, that needed to change. He downed his second drink and began mixing a third.

”I’m assuming you brought party favours?”

“Me? No, I didn’t buy them - our gracious host did.” Colin flashed a sly smirk, looking over at where he saw Christian being a good host to his guests, “but I’ve got some extras right here--” Colin patted the left side of his jacket, “--so, what you in the mood for? I know you don’t need the magic blue pill, but maybe a little white powder to bring out Freako, hmm?” Colin opened the right side of his jacket, pulling out a linear vile no longer than his index finger that had a blue cap and full of a white substance.

”Bueno; now it’s a party” Rico nodded his head in satisfaction at the look of the vile in Colins hand. Cocaine was his drug of choice. He didn’t fuck with much else to be honest. Weed yeah of course but anything more than that was a rarity. Sometimes Colin would slip him some E’s and that would lead to Enrique writing some tripped out songs but Coke was a good way to get a buzz on and get the world moving in the right direction. ”A small bump for me to start; gotta pace yourself brother man you know that” he patted the taller boy on the back and smiled. Rico enjoyed partaking as much as the next person and for sure he overdid it on a regular basis but he worried for Colin. He wondered if his friend had any light or if everything was just all dark, all the time.

“Guess it’s too soon for Freako to emerge, huh?” Colin joked, laughing as his half-formed fist playfully bumped into Rico’s left shoulder.

After Rico took his bump, Colin took a full pinky fingernail of the white powder, and sucked on it like it was the candy he used to get when he was a kid. To wash it down, he took whatever mad scientist experiment Rico made a few minutes ago and the sensation created from that combo sent Colin’s voice into an almost pitchy yell as his eyes met his Spanish friend. ]“I’ll check with you later, Rico. Gonna scout the place and see just who I can get down with.” Colin repeated the earlier action of bumping Rico’s shoulder with his fist. “You come find me if you want more. And if you’re in the mood for something a lil stronger, I’ll hook you up, bro!”

”Vive como si no hubiera mañana” The troubadour nodded as his friend disappeared into the growing crowd. Theirs was a friendship that truly only existed on nights like this; at school or otherwise they probably wouldn’t socialise. Yet it was their dedication to the craft of being an absolute fucking mess that brought them together.

Rico began to survey the room himself, not entirely sure what he was looking for until he found it. In these moments one would normally “turn on the charm” but for Enrique, he was just born that way. He glanced at himself in a mirror to make sure he was presentable before approaching an exotic beauty on the other side of the room. If what he had heard around school was true; he heard her name was Billie. He danced across the room like only Suave could and offered the girl a drink and a smile.

”You strike me as a woman that’s never been satisfied”

Jax had safely made it to the party. His nerves however were very much still on the edge. While he had ridden with the boys on his way to the party, they seemed to quickly dissolve when they reached the entrance. Or was it more the fact that Jax found a reason to walk away? Who was to say. Jax had managed to find himself alone on a seat in one of the many corners of the party. Not that Jax objected to where he found himself. He found it much safer to be at the edge of the party and not in the chaotic centre. While it wouldn’t be doing any wonders to his reputation to both Rosefell and Liberty students alike, Jax had gone beyond caring. Sitting where he was allowed him to observe the goings on at the party as well as feel somewhat comfortable in similarity.

He did a quick sweep of the party with his eyes, noticing quite a few important figures from the football and cheerleading teams. In all honesty the trip here had already exhausted his social spirit. Jax was used to being a sideline or at times excluded character on the Rosefell social scene. To go from that to being suddenly flung into a party, only helped to create a pressure cooker of anxiety, and right now, the release valve was blocked. Jax could feel all of it bubbling up inside, threatening to possibly explode. Why did his parents think this was a good idea?

Cause let’s be honest right now. Jax wasn’t exactly a welcome addition to a social event. If his previous years at Rosefell had taught him anything is that when he arrived to talk to people, the conversation usually stopped. Moments later the crowd would disperse. While the bullying might not have been as bad as it was back in his early teens - mostly because people were so childish back then - what had replaced it was this kind of hive mind style rejection. While in his freshman year, it had concerned him, by this point he just learnt to roll with the sadness and anxiety inside his heart, and use it to fuel his ambition to do well.

That isn’t saying that Jax didn’t appreciate what his parents were trying to do. For years they were afraid that Jax was building a wall around himself and the outside world, that way nothing could hurt him. In reality, the wall was there to help him focus, but his parents feared that if he didn’t learn to socialise and to make friends now, being an adult was going to be so much harder. Money might buy ‘friends’, but it could never buy true friends. Jax was going to have to talk to people, learn how to manage different personalities, and acquire the social skill to navigate relationships. It isn’t as if Jax didn’t know this kind of stuff. Afterall he had read countless books and read study after study on teenage communication and social cliques. He knew in theory how everything should go. So maybe his parents were trying to give him practical experience.

Jax drew a long exhausted sigh. That train of thought really knocked the wind out of his sails. Perhaps he needed to just dive in and experience something? Getting up, he walked over to the beer table, grabbing a bottle of cider - since it probably was the weakest drink there. Grabbing the bottle opener Jax attempted to open the bottle. It took him a few attempts to get it right, afterall he had never used one and it never came with instructions. Eventually he got the angle right, but applied a bit too much power and then as a result the bottlecap went flying across the table and landed somewhere where Jax couldn’t see. Whoops??? Putting the opener down, Jax walked back over to his corner, holding the bottle away from him as if it was laced with poison. Well if we were going to be technical, Alcohol is poison, but that wasn’t really the point. Sitting down, for the first few minutes Jax simply observed the bottle, looking at the branding and reading some of the label. At this point he really was doing his best to avoid drinking it. Even if he was the one who got it, he still had some apprehension about drinking it. That angst only increased when he bought his nose to the edge of the bottle. Taking a sniff of the liquid inside, Jax almost immediately gagged and held the drink back out. Coughing slightly as he tried to regain his composure.

He couldn’t however delay it any longer. He needed to take a sip. Taking a deep breath to slow down his heart rate, Jax pulled the bottle back in, pressing the top of the glass bottle against the bottom of his lip as he leveraged the bottle upwards, allowing a small sip of the liquid to pour into his mouth.

Regret. Instant regret.

The liquid, while sweet, set his throat on fire. That only got worse when it reached his chest. Jax began to cough, moving the bottle back away as his body lurched over slightly as the coughing continued. Eventually he was able to contain the coughing, but the after taste in his mouth was something he couldn’t quite get rid of, no matter how much he coughed or rolled his tongue. How could people drink this stuff? What kind of person would want that kind of sensation in their mouth and throat? He placed the bottle down on the floor by the side of the chair and shook his head. It was going to be a long night.

So, the thing about big rave parties is, by design they're for everyone. And that means they're for no one. But you don't want to be the asshole that kills the vibe by refusing to have fun so, at least there's a shit ton of drugs. Like, a ridiculous amount. An amount that would make him make a mental note to leave early because cops were sure to arrive, but at least he's white so there's way less reason for concern. So Cade popped some adderall, washed it down with alcohol and tried to join in to whatever was happening. Which kind of proved impossible with just how many people had come. Turns out when a party is for everyone, everyone attends. Which was fine, excluding the predators from colleges.

Another thing offered in seemingly unlimited supply was the booze. Which was a problem because it made him feel bad bringing that shitty vodka and so he just started chugging it on his own since all the time there were people at the booze table and he couldn't replace it with something actually, you know, decent.

As the pill was kicking in, he decided he was kind of focusing a bit too much for his liking and grabbed a small metal case from his pocket where his blunts were and took one out. As he was in the process of lighting it, someone bumped into him. He didn't immediately see them but he did realize that he was called gross which, fair enough?

He grabbed the blunt mid-air and turned around to start talking shit but instead was met with an extremely attractive girl from Liberty. Like, make-her-fucking-face-cave-in hot. It usually wouldn't deter him from speaking his mind, but his clear focus let him know what the best option was at that point. He lit up his blunt, took a generous drag and grinned at her.

"Well, you're quite the opposite. Although you already know it, so.." he said and shrugged his shoulders and offered her a drag, recognizing that what he said is cheesy and doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Cade knew that really, a rich girl with a big idea for herself is not usually the demographic he'd have success with, that's usually white girls full of daddy issues and catholic guilt, but hey, let's try something new for once.

Besides, right after all that, Rico came over and hit on her using a Hamilton reference so, it could be worse. Although generally speaking he was a charming motherfucker, and Cade couldn't say the same for himself, at least not close to the same level.

Quickly brushing herself off, Billie turned away from the unnamed guy in a desperate and quick attempt to find anyone she would actually want to associate with. Alina or Melissa had to have been here somewhere, right? Scanning the room while standing on her tiptoes, Billie only turned back to look at the dumpster fire while it was speaking.

Glaring, Billie crossed her arms as her facial expression went from pissed off to absolute disgust.

Waving her hand dismissively, she scoffed. ”I would rather die,” she said, forcing down the instinct to hurl.

Before she had the chance to clap back about the cheesy line that he threw at her, another disappointing man came waltzing over to quote Hamilton.

Not impressed, she thought. Unless someone could surpass Nicholas’s knowledge of musicals and Broadway plays, Billie would forever remain uninterested and disappointed.

Frowning, she looked the new comer up and down. ”And you strike me as a talking STD.” she retorted. “Tell me - what exactly made you think I wanted to talk to you? I’m genuinely curious. Did you just think that you could toss a Hamilton line and I’d drop my panties for you?” Looking back and forth between Dumpster Fire and STD, Billie rolled her eyes. ”Are all Rosefell guys this shallow,” she asked Dumpster Fire.

”Touche”

It was a fitting insult from the girl; Rico was disappointed in the line and was certainly not on the top of his usual one hundred game. He was no better on this night than the aforementioned STD on any other night. Her reaction was to be expected and immediate rejection wasn’t something new to Enrique. He would brush it off easily enough as he couldn’t afford to let the negative in lest he be consumed by it; something he knew all too well could be disastrous given his emotional nature.

”Honestly; I just saw you from across the room; I mean how could I not? Eres un diamante en un mar de carbón and I just couldn’t help myself” The Latin lover bowed his head in a combination of apology and embarrassment. ”I would never expect anything, just hoping for a little conversation”

In that moment; the song and dance man realised the truth of the matter; for once his heart wasn’t really in the game. He hadn’t realised it at the time but he had felt this same feeling on the first day back when he tried to flirt with that girl who nearly turned him into Rico Roadkill. It wasn’t that Billie wasn’t attractive because Lord above knew she was dynamite. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy the challenge because damn it that was the fun part. Hell he couldn’t even put the blame on the alcohol or drugs currently flowing through his system. It had been many days, weeks and months but the reason his heart wasn’t there was because it still belonged to her. Perhaps she didn’t realise it but she still held it in her hand or maybe had it locked away in a memory chest under her bed? Whatever the truth, it was hers and he had yet to find the strength to take it back.

Billie’s comment to the other boy of Rosefell men being shallow did strike a chord. Enrique did not consider himself a shallow person by any means. Was the outsider's words a true reflection of how the world sees him? Or was he simply overthinking things because he currently didn’t feel like himself, no matter how much he masked it.

”I’ll offer my apologies for any offence and I’ll leave you to it. Still, if ever you go looking for a more stimulating conversation, look me up. Disfruta tu velada” Rico excused himself from the awkwardness that he had birthed and began searching around the mansion for some place for quiet reflection.

Moments later he found himself in a downstairs bathroom splashing water onto his face. He could handle rejection; it happened more often than he cared to admit. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was that she wasn’t who he really wanted or at least who he thought he truly wanted. Six months is not a long time but in that time, his entire view of the world and the people on it had changed and he hadn’t even realised it until now. Fixing what was broken was likely not an option; he had figure out what was next and thinking about things was not Rico’s strong suit.

”Get it together, Enrique. You fucking idiot. Get out there and be fucking Suave. Deja tu mierda en la puerta”

Reaching into his pocket; he slipped out a clear bag of pills which he washed down with the rest of the concoction he had mixed earlier. Fuck his heart, it was time to mess with his head.

It was time to get his Freako on…
