Personality:
A cheerful and bubbly girl. Instead of being distressed by her newfound circumstances, she instead welcomes it. It's an exciting new adventure after all.

In real life, she's somewhat of a lazy girl. She doesn't see the point of striving more than the bare minimum in her studies. After all, even if she gets into a good college, there's no guarantee she'll have a good job. In fact, she starts planning to earn her living as a ramen seller instead. She loves cooking after all.

In the game, however, she puts a lot more effort into her character. She might not be the kind of player who goes for the hardest fights in the game, but she will grind her alchemy and cooking skills to the max. Her goal? Make a lot of money, of course. She wants to have the largest mansion. Or even her own land if she could.

To her, the game was more of a trading simulator than an RPG.

And so, she becomes a cunning yet trustworthy crafter. She won't break her promises to the customers but she'll absolutely try to squeeze every single penny out of them.

Hates studying in real life. Another reason to be excited with her transportation into the MMO world.

History:
In the real world, Yasuho was just one of the many unassuming Japanese high school girls that filled the nation. Her grades were average, her looks were average, and her love life was also average (and by that, she meant she didn't have any).

On Emerald Odyssey however, she was one of the top alchemists in her server, always there to provide potions for top players. As a result, her character was quite rich. So rich in fact that she has her own mansion with NPC servants. Her laboratory is also located inside said mansion.

Speaking of NPCs, she also hired some as Gatherers. Not for high level ingredients, mind you, since that's impossible for them to gather, but for low level ones.

As for her Cooking, it's still not on that level, unfortunately. But it's still decent enough that she can use the buffs provided from her dishes to aid her in combat.

In short, she was happier in the game than in real life. Not only does she look better (her character is definitely cuter than her real self), but she's actually somewhat of an important person there. Many guilds depended on her potions. And many gatherers depended on her money, as she employed multiple of them as her permanent ingredients suppliers.

Her mansion is located in Sen Rynta, the city above the clouds. She likes the view.

Class(es):
Alchemist, Weather Mage, Culinarian

Alchemist
A crafting class that specializes in potion creations. A potion can heal your HP and MP, as well as buff your stats, both combat ones and crafting/gathering ones. Naturally, this means potions are always in demand, especially the best ones.

To craft a potion, one needs to at least have an alembic in their possession. Though of course, the more complex and high level the potion is, the more tools one would need to craft it. Eventually, one will need an entire alchemist laboratory to do it.

One can purchase the ingredients necessary for said potions from other players, particularly gatherers. NPCs certainly sell more but they’re only for low level potions. And of course, one can just gather them themselves.

Weather Mage
A combat class that can conjure all sorts of weather effects to attack their opponents. For example, conjuring stormclouds to rain her enemies with lightning. Or creating fog to obscure the enemy's vision.

A weather mage uses both her own mana and the ambient mana of her surroundings. In the beginning of a fight, a weather mage can only use small weather phenomenona, like a single thundercloud firing down lightning to a single opponent. However, the longer the fight goes, the more ambient mana the mage absorbs, until eventually, she can use her big spells. Then, once, the ambient mana she absorbed runs out, the cycle begins anew again.

Culinarian
Another crafter class. In some ways, it is quite similar to alchemist. The food a Culinarian makes gives buffs to players as well. And you also need more than a pan and a spatula to cook all sorts of food.

However, Culinarians are somewhat in demand for player-run restaurants that popped out in every single city. Since food buffs last a lot longer than potion buffs, you can have a meal there before tackling a difficult boss.

Food, however, can't instantaneously heal HP and MP like potions can

Personality:
An energetic, competitive young woman who got hooked on the sense of achievement and companionship games can provide. Akira is a bit loud and quite impulsive, so she often slips up and interrupts someone when she doesn’t mean to. She’s the type to speak up, and nearly always tries to contribute to a given conversation. She does try to encourage others to join in, but can come off as pushy when she does so. She’s both spirited and temperamental, and sometimes inadvertently reacts in anger. Of course, Akira can hold herself back, but it takes effort, and may leave her smoldering in quiet resentment for a long while afterwards. Other times, however, she becomes provocative on purpose – this side of her especially tends to manifest in online games.

Though gaming is one of the hobbies she spends the most time one, Akira also enjoys sports, and plays volleyball two to three times a week, and often goes jogging the other days. She got used to gaming late in the night, even overnight or through most of the day(s) over the weekend. It leaves her utterly exhausted when she’s done with her gaming binges, but the satisfaction of getting accomplishments, contributing to a guild, and obtaining recognition is too compelling for her to give up.

History:
Born in Japan as the older twin of Akito, a brother younger than her by 13 minutes and 48 seconds. Though she was smug about this fact, they got along well. Their parents were often busy with work, which left them spending a lot of time with each other. They were especially rambunctious when younger, and teachers would often comment (or complain) about the shenanigans they got up to. Their parents signed them up for sports to redirect their energy, which mostly worked. Of course, they also calmed as they matured.

Though both siblings casually played computer and console games here and there, they were young adolescents when they first tried an MMORPG. Akira played longer than Akito, who was interested more so in battle royales. When she had enough of that first game, she sought out others. She eventually discovered Emerald Odyssey when it was in one of its trending periods. She got hooked, and played it intensively for a while, then switched to playing it intermittently whenever an update came out. Recently, she once again to returned to the game due to its release of Cloudfall.

As for her history with Emerald Odyssey, she’s a decent enough player to have earned some recognition in PvP content. Nova might not have been a top ranker, but when she was out to accomplish something, she usually did so. She’d been through a few guilds, but none on a long-term basis. She’d gained enough money to obtain some of the best gear for her combat classes, and had a sparsely furnished player-owned house.

Emerald Odyssey has brought her plenty of joy, but Akira does not intent to accept the strange fate that has befallen her. She is motivated to discover how and why she’s found herself in the game, and is determined to find a way back. After all, a game world is only a game world – it can’t replace real life for her. Especially since she has her family, including Akito, back home. Though she misses her brother, she thinks it better that as few people suffer this tragedy as possible, and does not bemoan having been left on her own in this strange world.

Combat Classes:
Pyromancer. An offensive sage of fire magics who uses staves, grimoires, or orbs. Their attacks stack burning debuffs, which cause lingering fire damage for a short duration. They have an AoE that is guaranteed to crit against any enemy with a burning debuff but consumes one stack per enemy. They also have a single-target attack whose base damage gets an increase per burning debuff on an enemy (up to a certain maximum) in exchange for consuming all stacks of burning.

Brawler. A vicious close combatant who fights with knuckle dusters, but can also use improvised weaponry (rocks, bricks, molotovs…). They rely on exploiting enemy weaknesses, which results in a several dirty moves, such as eye poking, headbutting, throat jabbing, and so on. They also employ regular fighting attacks, mainly grapples and elbow or knee strikes. Brawlers are masters of debilitating an enemy; they can inflict stunning, bleeding, and blinding debuffs, can knock down an enemy, and even interrupt their skills.

Ninja. A highly maneuverable stealth-based class. They focus on surprise attacks, hit and run tactics, and quick escapes. They mostly wear a combination of leather and chainmail, similar to a samurai’s armor, though can also use cloth. They can specialize in melee (katanas, kusarigama) or ranged (bows, light firearms). Regardless of their main weapon, all ninjas can use grappling hooks, kunais, shuriken, caltrops, darts, and even bombs. They can apply poison to any of their melee or ranged weapons.

Non-combat Classes:
Jewelry maker. A metalworker who specializes in the creation of jewelry, such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, and tiaras. They can also refine and cut gems which are then inserted into their creations. If they have the prerequisite items, they can work with other materials; e.g. using glass beads, strips of leather, and so on.

Runemaster. A scholar and an artist who seeks to learn, apply, and combine all sorts of runes. These runes can then be inscribed upon any item to imbue it with various effects. As an arcane class, a runemaster does draw upon a small amount of mana when imbuing an item with runes.

Name: Itouchi Horiyama
Character Name: Saito Souji
Race: Human
Age: 24
Personality: Itouchi is a somewhat reserved individual, as one might expect from a young Japanese man, however he has a particular sense of judgement. He is prone to making his own conclusions about other people, and while he may not act on those conclusions without further observation, he can break that rule should the person in question be of distaste to him. In particular, those who treat others horribly, who act in service of only themselves, or if they act childishly and waste people's time. Normally he would simply avoid them, but there are times when he may confront them if he believes that not doing so would seriously harm the group.

Despite his rather strong sense of judgement, he's a friendly person, though perhaps due to being reserved, acts somewhat formally most of the time. There are times when around close friends he may act much less so, making more jokes and acting somewhat more carefree. Perhaps something one might notice is a particularly fondness for the Shinsengumi, and though it is not as obvious as it used to be, the leftovers of that more pronounced phase of his remain in his name.

History: Itouchi like many young men graduating university, would find themselves applying for a company and then working there as a salaryman. He was rather fortunate to find a good company, having had a rather normal upbringing. It was this somewhat normal lifestyle combined with the more lonely lifestyle of a salaryman that perhaps pushed him towards Emerald Odyssey, seeking something a little more exciting between work days.

He started playing roughly three or four years ago, and for the first few of those he became an accomplished raider, perhaps the very best for one of the expansions, but stopped after realizing the stress it was beginning to put him under. Though he is thankful for those years as it has shaped him into a more than competent player, both overall skill with the game, and when it comes to playing with other people which was a central component. From then on he normally just played the game with friends, only delving into difficult content on a casual basis.

Class(es):

• Samurai - [Katana] - A melee DPS class that utilizes a Katana. A swift and agile class boasting high critical rate and critical damage that aims to move through droves of enemies with very few strokes of the blade. As a drawback, their damage if they do not land a precise strike would be more than underwhelming, and defensive capabilities are nearly none, preferring to avoid blocking with their weapon. They have access to perhaps the fastest set of weapon skills called Battoujutsu, where the samurai may resheathe their weapon, gathering up their focus and spiritual energy before unleashing it in an impressive display of blinding speed.
• Kagemusha - [Nodachi] - Meaning "shadow warrior", a tank class that utilizes a Nodachi. In particular they make use of shadowy decoys to gain the attention of the enemy and even confuse them, as well as creating veils of shadow over their allies in order to hide them or guard them from attack. Every shadow generated costs a portion of the Kagemusha's health pool, however should these decoys slay enemies or deal sufficient damage, they can return to the Kagemusha to restore their health.
• Ashigaru - [Matchlock Firearms] - A ranged DPS class that utilizes matchlock firearms. Though it has a low firing rate compared to many if not all ranged classes, it boasts high damage per shot, and the highest critical damage of ranged classes. Despite being a ranged DPS class, it is frequently seen fighting in close quarters, only retreating to fire off their fatal shots. The Ashigaru also use matchlock handguns in these situations, with skills based around evasion and breaking armor. This class is also known to be a popular secondary, as the handguns can be used alongside any weapon that can be wielded with one hand.

Non-Combat

• Blacksmith - Though he doesn't delve a lot into crafting, he found himself making use of blacksmith frequently to maintain his weapons. He can craft new ones too, but for some reason the best weapons he can craft are all for his classes. Blacksmith as a profession is quite popular as people need or want new shiny gear all the time, and while he is not a reputed crafter, the katana that he can craft are of top quality... And nothing else.

Other:

• His character name Saito Souji is a combination of Hajime Saito and Okita Souji.
• Kagemusha refers to a political term coined during the Sengoku period meaning "shadow warrior", and means to refer to body doubles, thus the protective nature of the class.
• The coat he wears is obtained from PvP, and was a limited run at the time. Very few players have it.
• He has a small player home in the eastern region.

Personality: As much as she tries to not be stiff, many find it hard to perceive Yui's emotions and intent. This is due to her upbringing, which caused her to supress what you may call 'positive' emotions. This does not mean she cannot feel, but simply she cannot express herself, leading to many miscommunications and confused looks. Yui is person who prefers the truth, however lacking are her expressions, is sympathetic and understanding. A firm and just leader, she is one that many can look up to.

History: Hailing from a family of history, Yui is the eldest daughter of the Miuras. As the heiress of fortune and nobility, Yui was constantly attacked by expectations and familial pressure. As time went on, Yui was able to embrace it, in sacrifice for her emotions. Throughout her turbulent life, she found solace in games - her favourite being Emerald Odyssey. It just so happened that one of her sparse free days aligned with the release date of Cloudfall, which she would explore and play to relieve her stress...

Combatant Classes:

• Paladin
  The frontline class, one that leads the battle with their charisma. They boast high defence and long-melee range, able to protect their allies in a pinch. Their main weapons are light lances and heater shields. Paladin's passive ability is Fortress, which gives defence and resistance to nearby allies. Paladins rely heavily on physical lance-based attacks for damage, but have limited magical abilities that allow them to cover, heal and increase defensiveness for allies.
• Sabreur
  Trading defence and strength for magic power and dexterity, sabreur is a hybrid class. Wielding both rapiers and magic, sabreurs are known as 'jack-of-all-trades', filling ally gaps with their utility. They possess myriads of abilities that let them gap close for a flurry of rapier combos, then retreat to safety to let off a chain of explosions. Known better for their pure destructive power than healing and support, sabreurs work better in a team with good frontline and defensive capabilities.

Non-combatant Classes

• Harvester
  Known as the sage of the land, harvesters are experts in all things flora. Harvesters study plant life and their effects in foods, potions and raw consumption. They use this knowledge to procure various vegetation, especially rarer materials needed for certain crafting classes. Harvesters have a passive ability called Sixth Sense, which lets players feel the presence of the flora which they are searching for within a limited radius. However, without the knowing the biodiversity of plants, harvesters cannot utilise the passive ability effectively.
• Alchemist
  Magician through scientific means, alchemist study naturally occurring elements and magic by concocting potions with particular effects. Healing potions, love potions, poisons and antidotes, potions that disintegrate metals and ones that give limited invisibility to the consumer. These phenomenon are what alchemists pursue and aspire to understand. The only drawback is that material can be very expensive and rare, leading to many beginners giving up early.
