@Ozzy Cross Okay two things:

1) I see your JP references.

2) Please, PLEASE change your font to the default font on the site. I am struggling to read it without squinting. Even brought it up to some of my friends and they're also having issue reading the sheet. Once that's done I'll give it a once over again so I can make sure I didn't miss anything.

I think I'm going to go ahead and pull out. Rolling a little too slow. I've already got a slow RP that I am fond of and would rather fill my card with something a little more active to keep me entertained in between. Was hoping this was going to be it with the 1 or 2 posts per week rule, but that rule is clearly out the window, lol (I suppose there is a disclaimer noting such could be the case).

No hard feelings! It's a really interesting concept that I think you all can have a lot of fun with. Good luck and I hope it's a blast!!

My apologies; been terribly busy lately and have been trying to fit my various RP commitments when I can. Currently dealing with the fallout of my grandfather dying to covid (getting his body home from another state, funeral services, etc.) as well trying to reschedule a five odd hour trip I was supposed to take this weekend (more around 10-11 hours in total back and forth).

@Ozzy Cross Accepted.

I am glad to hear that =^.^= always glad to know someone is up on their luck.

@KuroThat is rough my friend and completely understandable, family and real life always comes first. I am sure once things have settled down a bit for you, this story can get rolling full force like a barrel on the Niagara. In the meantime I will definitely find a access point to insert my geeky comrade into the story.

Is this still taking applicants? If so here's my character sheet:

Name
Clint Robins

Age
44

Place of Residence
119 Poplar Lane

Personality Traits
Family-Oriented: While not a man with many friends, Clint is the embodiment of a family man. He sees family as the most important thing in his life. He's fiercely defensive and loyal towards them and feels a lot of loss from the deaths of his parents and wife. His bond with his daughter is the thing he holds closest to his heart, and with the last contact he had with her being before the fog, he has no idea if she's still alive.

Workaholic: Clint has always had a strong work ethic. This is a product of the environment he was raised in. He's a strong believer in the idea of earning your keep, and as a result often judges people based on their work ethics. As he's grown older this has taken on a different meaning, as throwing himself into a work has become somewhat of a coping mechanism.

Outdoorsy: Clint loves the outdoors, whether it's camping, hunting, fishing or hiking. As a result he's acquired an interesting array of survival skills, such as animal tracking, firearm utilization and identifying and equipping proper fishing gear. He's no Bear Grylls but he can handle himself.

Simple: The best way to describe Clint is simple. He's an old fashioned man that likes everything in his life to be basic. He's easily satisfied and there's a lot of things he doesn't understand, and when things get too complicated he can get frustrated. This can extend from things like newer technology to other people. He's straight forward and appreciates it when people are the same way to him.

Background
Clint grew up on a farm a few hours west of Hvass as the youngest of three brothers. He learned to work hard at a young age and earn his keep. His father was also an avid outdoorsman, and brought his boys north with him for monthly excursions to hunt, fish or camp. By the time he was 17, both of his older parents had passed away, which left Clint and his brothers on their own. They left as the years went by and they started families of their own. This left Clint on his own with the farm, but not for long.

In his early 20s, he met a young woman from Chicago named Alice and they hit it off. She took every opportunity she could to get out of the city and go fishing or camping with him, and they'd go on to get married. They quickly had a daughter they named Savannah. From there, Clint lived the ideal family lifestyle on his old farm. He had everything he wanted, living a lifestyle he enjoyed the way he was raised with a family he loved very much. This came to an abrupt end when Alice tragically died in a car accident. It was heartbreaking, but brought Clint and Savannah closer together. Eventually it was time for Savannah to go to university, and she moved to Chicago to do so. This left Clint on the farm by himself, and he realized he just couldn't handle the upkeep on his own. He tried to see if either of his brothers would take it off his hands but they'd already settled in to new jobs in new towns, so he decided to sell it and move to the nearby town of Hvass. The decision was painful, as Clint felt in a way he was selling the memories he had with his family, but with the money he made off of the sale, he decided to start his own business. Fueled by his memories with his wife and his father, he opened an Outdoor Equipment Store so he'd still be working with something he was comfortable with. While he enjoyed his work, with his daughter in Chicago, he didn't like returning to an empty house every night. He started working himself to the bone and spending nights sleeping in the back of the store. The night of the fog was one of those nights.

Other Info
TBD

Sorry to hear it. Lost my mother to covid, dealt with a smorgasbord of work related incidents associated with unfortunate pandemic experiences and have tried to be a constant source of ventilation for close friends and relatives. It's tough. If you need an ear, I've got two and I say that human-to-human, RP well aside. Everyone should be able to vent. Stay strong and, if you're feeling weak, please allow me to make my case that you're a badass. I'm very convincing and mostly correct.

Right, having put some thought in it: with my own IRL issues and people dropping, I think it's best to close this roleplay for good. Was fun while it lasted.
