☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Beach
Skills: N/A

Niah witnessed her oath - and guilt flooded Nancy for a moment. She had made an oath on the River Styx impulsively, forgetting that her friend would need to seal it - that Niah couldn't help but seal it - another curse masquerading as a gift from the gods. Nancy had sworn on the River Styx as in that moment, she couldn't deal with the thought of living in a world where they lost - if that were to happen, she would gladly face the wrath of the Styx, as it would be nothing compared to the wrath Nancy would inflict upon herself. She felt the pressure of Niah's forehead up against her back. Nancy hoped that Niah understood.

Mads echoed her sentiments, in a less dramatic way, and then said that they needed to get back - that the others would be waiting for them. Nancy didn't want to move. She didn't want to leave this beach, this moment where she had her two best friends. She didn't want to face other people. She didn't want to think about the horrific prophecy she had witnessed - she didn't want to tell others what it had involved. She didn't want to send people to the Lotus Hotel and Casino. But... There was one person that Nancy could somewhat stomach the idea of relaying the prophecy to.

"I'll stay here for a little longer," Nancy finally said. "You two go back. And when you do... Have someone send Zeke Kel here. Tell him I have a prophecy for him."

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: Dining Pavilion -> the Arena
Skills: Superspeed

After Kiera's goodbye-for-now kiss, Leda was surprised to hear someone coming up to her. It was someone she didn't immediately recognize, before it clicked into place in her mind - this was one of Mr. D's kids. "Yeah, that's me, luv," Leda answered. She was blanking on the boy's name. The more she looked at his curly hair, the more she pictured Mr. D as a stylized cherub - which meant that the familial resemblance was more or less there, as expected. She tilted her head for a moment, considering his offer for a sparring session. Ordinarily, she would've said no - the quest was bound to start any minute, after all...

... But she wasn't exactly inspired by the speed at which the counselors' meeting would go. "Eh, why not, could use a bout," Leda answered. She then scooped up Cassian and ran with him over to the arena, but he must have been heavier than she was expecting or something, as she was feeling winded when they got there and she typically didn't after speeding someone off from point A to point B. She set him down at the arena. "Give me a mo'," she requested, catching her breath. She then tugged on her necklace, pulling it off, and it transformed into her celestial bronze sword that glowed with colors to match her mood - right now it was a nice, bored shade of white - Ultraviolet. "Alrighty then, when you're ready, mate."

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Dining Pavilion > Outside Infirmary
Skills: Shapeshifting

Demi's smile persisted as he saw the blush beginning to form on Zeke's cheeks. Of Course with every mealtime came its busy infirmary rates. It was almost as if these Demi-gods wanted to get hurt. Granted Demi had no real room to talk, having purposefully injured himself several times in the past just to be able to steal a glance at Zeke from either afar or up close if he was lucky. Though none of that was needed anymore. Demi simply came by when he pleased and would make an excuse up if needed. For a moment, it felt as if Zeke was going to move in closer, to boldly do more than he was comfortable with, but that moment was quickly cut off by his sibling and a stretcher being worked towards them.

Right on cue Demetri thought to himself as he watched the scene unfold. Perhaps it was a little selfish, but he'd wished the camper had gotten injured at another time or even not at all. "Yeah no problem. How hard can inventory be?" He replied trying to sound chipper about the situation, speaking the second half more to himself than anyone else there. He was a little irritated that Zeke didn't think he was helpful enough to at least gather the ingredients they needed for the camper. Granted he hadn't been studying long, but he still felt as if he was simply being sent off. Zeke took a couple steps away before giving him the bad news about Janelle. Instantly Demi's smile twitched, glad that Zeke had begun to move away already for fear that he'd see how it affected him.

Demetri took a deep breath in before racing up the infirmary stairs and going towards where they kept all the stored ingredients. He was already frustrated with the current situation, the disorganized stores were just the cherry on the top. Some kids liked to make it alphabetical, others by color, some by grain, and a few (like Demi) preferred to have them organized by property. He quickly got to rearranging the containers, setting aside a few herbs that he'd known were good for healing. It was a little tough at the beginning as he mumbled to himself angrily while pulling things out. Halfway through he realised he wasn't actually paying attention and became even more frustrated. Demi placed the canister in hand onto the counter and took a deep breath. "Calm yourself Howell, he didn't mean anything by it. Besides! He's right, she should hear it from him first before the rumor mill gets to work." There was a long exasperated sigh as he allowed himself to calm down.

Demi took several more breaths before going at it again. More focused now he began to organize and take stock of all the ingredients that they currently had in store. As he went about his work, he started setting aside certain containers. Ones that were good for making topical ointments, hopefully he could make something useful for Arthur and Andy before they left. He left the bottle of Witch hazel, dandelion, and lemon balm. Figuring it should cover enough basis. Hell, Witch hazel alone did most of the work. He recalled seeing its spindly yellow flowers in the book he had back at his cabin, amazed at how versatile the plant could be. Before he knew it his task was complete, and he'd just about forgotten about his sour mood.

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Dionysus Table
Skills:

Cassian smiled as Leda accepted his proposal. He wouldn't have minded if she'd told him no, figuring that perhaps getting injured before a quest would be a bad idea. Chiron showed up and tasked them both with finding her royal pain. He wanted to tell Chiron how much of a bad idea that seemed like, especially after she'd already stated how little she wanted to be around him, when suddenly Leda grabbed him and sped him away. "Oh hey Chir-aaaaaaah" was all he was able to get out before flashing in a blast of rainbow and appearing at the arena. Speed. Noted. Cassian had to be careful in this fight.

While Leda was getting back the wind in her sails, Cassian went over towards the archery gear and found a bow with the same weight he was used to, and a quiver of boffer arrows so that he didn't hurt one of the questers. "Ready as I'll ever be. I'd like to think I'm a pretty good marksman but, never been against a speedster before. Let's see how good my eyes really are." Cassian watched her movements, studying her as he tried to zero in on her body language and find tells for feints or directional movements. He knocked an arrow in the bow and quickly aimed and fired within a split second. His mother had taught him several archery techniques, each culture bore their own style of fighting and every one was just as interesting. He knocked another arrow and fired it towards her right, immediately launching a third so that she hardly had time to register the projectile as she was attempting to dodge the second. All three hits landed, making Cassian feel good about his abilities.

Arthur Stanford

Location:Big House
Skills: N/A

Arthur made a face for a moment as he thought, not one of disagreement, but one of contemplation. That was an interesting idea, though he wasn't sure how much it mattered. He'd never heard of a Greek demigod being approached by their Roman counterpart for the purposes of helping Camp Jupiter, but it was a worthwhile consideration. He wasn't sure, however, if such an act would be seen as an act of distrust between the two camps. If it was an ultimately meaningless thing, then all it would do is sew division between the two camps, which wasn't something they'd want in the things to come.

"I think I'd still prefer Demi, Zeus as a parent might make the other campers respect him, between Camp Jupiter and here." He explained, "I'm a bit nervous of trusting Tammy since I don't know her well, and I don't expect her to vote for herself, which might make her winning the election hard." He said, pursing his lips. "If you wanna try it, I'll back you, but I still think Demi is the best all around bet." He said earnestly, as they entered the Big House, laying his cards on the table. He didn't want Andy to feel like she wasn't being listened to though, so he was willing to acquiesce if she strongly believed in this.

"An bhfuil a fhios agat gur féidir leat labhairt liom faoi rud ar bith ceart? Agus cuir in iúl dom má theastaíonn uait mé a fheiceáil faoi rud éigin a dhéanamh faoi nó cibé rud," Jason responded to his sister with a smile. He wasn't going to make her tell him the full truth about what was wrong if she didn't want to, that was entirely her choice. But based on how she reacted to certain things, he had a pretty good idea of what was bugging her, but that was mainly because he knew her so well and was around her a lot.

"Dúirt mé leat go bhfuil sé ceart go leor, ná bí buartha faoi iomarca. Níl aon rud mícheart in ainneoin a bhfuil á rá agat i gcónaí, cé go gcuireann sé seo le mo argóint go bhfuil buachaillí dúr ar an iomlán," she responded instantly, getting a bit annoyed by her brother's pestering, though for the most part, she was sort of just glad that there was another distraction, as she heard Kristin's voice as she walked over and said hello, and Janelle waved her hand slightly in the direction of Kristin's voice.

He turned to look at Kristin, waving slightly, "Ahh 'ey dere Kristin, 'ow are ya doin? I'm doin alright, naht sure about Janey 'ere, just waitin around fahr everyahne to get back so dat we can see about 'eadin ahff ahn de quest ahr whatever, so dat's fun," Jason responded to her with a bit of a shrug. Personally he was fine if she wanted to walk around with them for a little while or something like that, but he figured he'd leave that decision up to Janelle.

She listened to what the other two were saying, and decided to answer Kristin's questions. "I'm doin fine, wance Jason is gahne I'm goin to 'ead to de clembin wall fahr a lettle while. You can walk wit us fahr a lettle while if you want to, I'm perfectly fine wit it." Actually, Janelle would be happy to have Kristin join them, since then maybe it would stop her brother from bugging her about other things, and that's just how things were. Hopefully that's how it would go anyway.

Marygold Isley

Location: Camp Store
Skills: N/A

Mary just more or less watched Stella sort of wander around the store, gathering up various things that she likely was going to need for the quest. She was sort of paying attention to what was going on, before remembering that she needed to grab a few things for her own quest. Walking over, she found a bag of her own to take with her, and thinking back on the stuff she already had back at her cabin, namely the sword that she typically used in fighting, aside from her own powers that she used. Before heading off on her quest she made a note to remember to go back and grab it.

She just grabbed a few other small things that she likely would need for the quest, a few things of food, water, and other simple things to make life a bit easier on the quest. Mary knew enough about botany and biology to make just about any sort of plant she might need in a pinch if needed, but she'd prefer to not have to rely on that sort of thing if she didn't have to. Making sure that she had everything that she might need, she turned to look at Stella, "Do you have everything?" she asked her, figuring she'd ask her.

She couldn't think of a reason why the Romans would have an issue with Demi, and he wasn't going on a quest right now. "Good point." Andy nodded. "Let's vote for Demi." She said. They entered the Big House and headed down to the basement. There were already several people gathered there. She found an empty seat with an empty seat next to it for Arthur. She waved at Kiera.

Andy had no idea who else people might vote for, so it was impossible to have a guess at who might win. But if both she and Arthur voted for the same person that was two votes for one person. She looked around the table trying to think of everyone's name. She only interacted with most of them in settings like this one.

After a moment Niah lifted her head. "Alright. We'll get him for you." She stood up. Her legs did not respond right away. But she got up. Then leaned over and hugged Nancy once more before starting toward the Dining Pavilion. She hated that she had bound that oath.

At the Dining Pavilion, it looked like most of the people had dispersed so they had missed whatever it was Chiron had wanted to tell them. She sighed. And turned to the nearest person. "Hey, know where either Zeke or Chiron is?" It didn't matter which one she found first. She could get the info that Chiron wanted to share and then find Zeke or vice versa.

Camp Store:

The Iris girl watched as Stella listed the things that she needed and grabbed them, though they didnt have any weapons in the armory she looked at Stella. "Sadly we don't sell any weapons here so you'll need to grab them from the armory if you need anything like that from there." She said before making her way over towards the register, to ring up the items that they had order knowing that the two of them were going on quests. "Since the two of you are on quests they are on the house, and good luck." She said giving the two of them a wave before turning her attention over towards the other campers.

Infirmary:

Zeke's half-sister nodded and made her way over towards one of the many cabinets that were in the infirmary this one was reserved for their camp's reserves for Nectar and Ambrosia. The camper that Zeke had been healing started to relax looking over at Zeke glad that he was able to heal him. "Thanks." He said as Zeke's half-sister came back with the small bottle of nectar, it was enough to heal the injured camper, to much of either would be pretty bad. "Here you go." She said offering it to Zeke, as another two campers came into the infirmary one of theme was a son of Hermes watching as Demi was finishing up reorganizing the infirmary's healing herbs and whatnot. "Sorry about that Juan wanted to do a prank and rearrange stuff in there." He said with a slight laugh referring to his cabin councilor.

Arena:

There were a few campers in the arena now, some of them were Roman but the rest of them were Greek some of them stopped for a moment as Leda and Cassian sped right into the arena. It would be an interesting fight as some of the younger campers watched, some of them were Leda's half-siblings Cassian was lucky to get a few shots in with the dummy arrows on Leda when one of them yelled out to Leda. "Kick his ass!" There were three of Cassian's half-siblings there as well to seeing that Cassian managed to land three hits on Leda.

Kristin Reynolds

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Dining Pavilion
Skills: N/A

Kristin looked at Jason and gave him a smile as he answered her question. "I'm doing alright was just getting some stuff and was going to hit the climbing wall myself actually." Kristin said as she was pretty sure that Janelle would do alright with the climbing tower, she had handled herself pretty well with her first quest after all as well to. "If you two are alright with me tagging along with you guys i'm fine with that then." Kristin said looking at the two of them.

"Where are you guys walking anyway? I'm not sure how long the whole meeting in the Big House is going to take either, so maybe not to far from the Big House since you are going on your quest here pretty soon." Kristin said she was fine with just walking around the camp in general as well to. She was kind of curious what they were talking about, as she looked at both Jason and Janelle. "What were you guys talking about before I came up?"

Kiera Donovan

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Big House
Skills: N/A

Tammy looked over towards Andy and Arthur she was flattered that her name was mentioned butt she shook her head rather quickly trailing around with the Romans all the time was really boring. "Yeeeeeeeeah no i'll instantly pass if i'm voted I have the camp store to run after all thats enough responsibility for me." Tammy said, as Kiera watched the remaining cabin councilors were coming in along with the Roman Praetor that she really didnt know aside from Nancy and Madalyne. Something probably happened last night she listened to Arthur and Andy though as they spoke she waved back towards Andy. "Hey Andy and Arthur" She said to the both of them.

Chiron came down into the basement shortly after as he looked at everyone who was in the room there he knew that Andy, Arthur and Kiera were all going on their quests and he didnt want to hold them up to much. "I'll try and keep this all short." Chiron said as he looked towards Danielle the newly appointed Praetor. "If anyone has any recommendations for any camper feel free to suggest them and write the name down, and then we'll put the names down for a vote." Chiron said as he went over and grabbed some pens as well as a sheet of paper Kiera started to think for a moment, as she looked towards the other councilors as some of them whispered amongst themselves.

She wasnt sure who to really pick going through the people that she had gotten to know pretty well since being in camp, she didnt want to do it and she was going on a quest. And she didnt want her girlfriend to do it either knowing that she would think it was pretty boring to, Andy and Arthur were also going on quests to. Kristin seemed to be the best choice after all she was pretty smart and decided to go with that as she grabbed a pen and wrote down Kristin's name.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Beach
Skills: N/A

Madalyne felt really bad for leaving Nancy alone by herself, she leaned in and hugged Nancy as tight as she could letting out a slight sigh looking at her best friend. "We'll win all of this." Madalyne said to Nancy as she gently held her hand, and nodded to her getting Nancy's half-brother was going to be interesting after what happened last night. "Meet us at the entrance to camp before we leave alright?" She asked before getting up and followed shortly behind Niah making her way over towards the dining pavilion which wasnt that far of a walk to. There weren't to many campers in the pavilion some were just playing Mythomagic.

One of the kids turned their attention over towards Niah asking where Chiron and Zeke were. "Chiron is in the Big House, and Zeke I believe went to the medical pavilion with Demi." The kid answered Niah's question, Madalyne looked over towards Niah before speaking. "I'll go get Zeke, i'm pretty sure Danielle is at the Big House with the other Greeks listening in and she'll probably want someone else there to." Madalyne said referring to the daughter of Victoria who was voted in to take her place as Praetor the night before.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Infirmary -- Camp Half-Blood
Skills:

Ezekiel thanked his half-sibling in kind before handing over the nectar. ”No problem. I’d still take a break from the climbing wall today,” Zeke advised. The camper was fully healed but sometimes the mind needed a break to recover from all the adrenaline coursing through a person who just experienced some serious trauma like falling off a death wall. ”Take your time drinking that. Once you are finished you can head out. Maybe stick to some light hand to hand training today.” With that completed, Zeke turned and looked to see if there was anyone else who needed his immediate attention.
He noticed another camper who looked under the weather and walked over to read that they had some sort of cold. Ezekiel began to ask the camper some questions, trying to determine if a simple herbal remedy would suffice. Zeke didn’t get a clear idea but it was always a good step one.
”I’ll go make up a tea and we’ll try that first,” he explained to the camper before he disappeared. Zeke wandered down the hall, listing off herbs that were good for colds. ”Ginger of course and there’s elderberry. I wonder if we have enough of…of course it’s bitter, so we’ll have to add…” Zeke muttered along to himself as he walked into the store room where Demi was, ”honey.” He looked around for a jar but ended up finding Demetri and a couple of other campers.
Zeke cleared his throat and scanned the shelves. It looked like Demetri had been doing some rearranging. ”Dem, did you happen to come across the jar of crushed up ginger yet?”

Stella did sigh a little when the Iris camper told her that she would have to get a knife or anything like that from the armory, but she simply accepted that was what she would have to do. She did still have the scythe, but having something else would be a good idea. Maybe also a small shield would be nice, but she doubted that would work with what she was thinking. She tucked all her things into the backpack and then paused a bit as the weight of it settled onto her shoulder, reminding her that this was really happening. She was about to go on a quest, out to California, to go fight monsters and help the Romans with their lost camp.

"Hmm?" She turned to look up at Marygold, almost not hearing the question. "Oh, yeah I got everything I need here then, aside from the things I need to get from the armory." She turned her attention back to the Iris camper and then offered her a smile. "Thank you for your help!" She turned back to Marygold and slung the other strap of the backpack over her other shoulder. "Can you show me where the armory is before we go back to meet up with everyone we're going on our quests with?"

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Nancy nodded. "Yeah, won't miss it," Nancy promised. She knew that they wouldn't be leaving for their quest right away - nothing was ever punctual when Greeks were involved, so she still had plenty of time. And she didn't feel up to facing anyone else from New Rome or Camp Half-blood at the moment, not with the horrible prophecy filling her mind. As Niah and Mads left, a sudden chill overtook Nancy again and she curled her toes inward, as if that would somehow keep the bad vibes at bay. She hated prophecies and destiny - she hated this 'gift' that her father had given her, it was really just a curse.

It occurred to her that she didn't even know if Zeke would come to see her. Things hadn't been great between the Greeks and the Romans, with Nancy herself being inclined to take the Romans and march back to California the next day rather than sit around and stay here. But she had to tell someone in that prophecy what she had seen. She couldn't know that they were going to the Lotus Hotel and Casino and live with herself if she didn't say anything. No one deserved to be trapped in that horrifying place.

Well, maybe Leandra...

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: the Arena
Skills: Superspeed

Leda tried not to get too angry at the fact that Cassian had managed to hit her with his stupid dummy arrows - she tried not to let it hurt her pride too much, but she had a very high opinion of herself as a fighter. "Guess you aren't as slow as ya look," Leda teased, before in a blur of rainbow light she made her move - well, moves. Step one - return the favor. She used her superspeed to throw the three dummy arrows right back at Cassian, hitting him with all three of them. Step two - immobilize. Leda dashed faster than the eye could clearly see, heading over to the bow racks, and snapping up some rope she had spotted earlier. She then ran back to Cassian and ran around him in a circle, quickly tying him up with the rope, giggling ever so slightly.

Step three - be petty. She then snatched the bow right from his hands and returned to the position she had started in, waving cheerfully at him. She didn't want to let on that he actually wasn't a half bad shot - she would rather be seen as the clear victor here. If anyone asked, she would probably claim that she had let him hit her with his shots - that she was the cat playing with the mouse. "Hope you don't mind, I decided I rather fancied it," she said, referring to the bow that was now in her position. "Besides, you're a bit tied up at the mo' and weren't using it."

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Infirmary

Demetri turned to look over his shoulder at the new voice in the room. He recognized the features of the kid, having a mischievous look to his eyes as most Hermes kids do. When he'd admitted it was Juan who'd pulled a prank on the infirmary kids, well it made even more sense. What's more Demi felt a bit bad for having thought it was simply the disorganized chaos of another camper that'd fiddled with the clear order of things. "Of course it was Juan." Demi said with a bit of a chuckle as he turned around to fully face the camper while leaning against the wall. "I'm all for pranks and having fun, I've pulled a few myself, but tell Juan and the other Hermes kids the infirmary stock is off limits. If there's ever an emergency they need to be able to grab what they need quickly. Can't be wasting time sorting through all this and we can't rely on ambrosia and nectar alone. You know it's not good for us." Demi said as he used the clipboard to gesture towards the camper.

Demi let out a small sigh as he shrugged his shoulders and turned back around to gather a few more things. It wasn't Hermes cabins fault for this, just Juans, but someone needed to understand the dangers of pranking an infirmary. Just as he was about to finish up he heard Zeke's voice from the entrance of the room. Honey. Without so much as skipping a beat Demetri replied in kind, unaware of what he'd just done. "Yeah babe?" Time seemed to stretch on for infinity, the seconds lasting for eons as he realized what he'd said in front of a Hermes camper.

Demetri decided to just press forward and act as if nothing had happened. "Oh, uh I actually have crushed ginger right here. Was gonna snag a bit and package it for Andy and Arthur along with a few other ingredients. Limit the need for ambrosia or nectar and try and help with what may come their way in what ways I can you know?" Demi handed the container over to Zeke, before giving the Hermes camper a bit of a smile that clearly held a threat behind it. One that read if you so much as whisper a word of what was just said to anyone I will make sure you're on dish duty for two weeks with the harpies

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Dionysus Table
Skills: Chaos Manipulation, Short Sword

Cassian cracked a smile at Ledas compliment. It was one thing to believe in his skills, it was a whole other to have someone else recognize them. "Hey Tha-" Before he could even finish the word he felt a dulled pain coming from his bow arm. Another shot up in his abdomen and a third at his shoulder. A blur of rainbow light dashed about the area faster than he was able to keep track of as it then swirled around him before releasing him only to leave behind a rope that bound him. His arrows laid at his feet as he stood there bound while Leda snagged his bow and went back towards where she had originally stood. Ah! ThAaaAnks." Cassian smarted as he watched her stand there.

Cassian wasn't about to admit defeat just yet. He needed to know he couldn't be easily outdone if he was out on a quest. Monsters could have some outstanding agility, and he wanted to ensure he could counteract it to some degree. "Love bows. Great at giving cover to your allies when they need to move in close." he said as he tried to keep her attention on him. His eyes flickered for a moment, like a spark trying to ignite, before their jade coloration turned into a golden hue. The knot became undone and Cassian shrugged his shoulders to help it fully fall apart and wrap down beneath his feet. "Though I'm glad my mother trained me to be-" Cassian cut himself off as he dashed towards Leda, closing the gap as a short sword was now held between them in a stalemate. "Versatile. Can't stay ranged forever."

He held the sword there for a moment before lowering his arm and twirling the blade with his wrist. He didn't like using his mother's gift too often, and the fact that Leda had forced his hand to, made him respect her skill greatly. "You're really good. And that speed?" Cassian whistled approvingly. "Your teammates are lucky to have you watching their backs. They're in safe hands."

Arthur Stanford

Arthur briefly wondered if it was cool for the two of them to coordinate their votes like that, but he internally shrugged. He wanted somebody he knew to have the position, and that made the list of people he was okay with short. In addition, it was honestly just another way for him to attempt to express a degree of control over a world that increasingly showed itself to be cruel and uncaring. He smiled over at Kiera and waved back, taking a seat next to Andy and getting ready to make an argument for Demi. He looked at the room around him, and cleared his throat.

"I'd like to put forward Demi here." Arthur said, taking a scrap of paper and writing down Demi's name, "I trust him not to mess things up, and I think he'd be an effective liaison." Arthur said, folding the scrap an placing it in front of him. "He seems the type to do the job and not let his feelings get in the way, should things get tense." Arthur looked over to Andy, hoping she had something to say as well. Between the two of them, he hoped that they could convince enough of them to listen to the two of them here.

"Yeah, perfectly fine if you want to tag alahng wit us. Mahre de merrier," Jason commented to the group with a bit of a shrug. He still was perfectly fine with Kristin choosing to tag along with them, since honestly he wasn't even too sure where they were going or whatever. For the most part, they were just sort of wandering around the camp without any sort of explanation for where they were going or what they were even going to do. Who knew really, wandering around with free time is always a fun thing to do.

"i already tahld you me answer. as fahr where we're goin? i dahn't really know at all. joehst sahrt o' walkin arooehnd, enjahyin de breeze, dat sahrt o' din," Janelle responded with a bit of a smile. Of course, everything was going to end with their walk sooner or later, since Jason was going to go off on his quest eventually, and she was going to more or less be stuck here, with nothing real important to do but walk around and do a few different things for training and all.

He had to stop himself from laughing a bit when Kristin asked what it was that they had been talking about before. Oh this was definitely going to be a fun conversation in general. However, he thought it might be best if Janelle said what it was that they had been talking about, or at least kind of lightly mention it. "Maybe Janey should answer de question o' what we were talkin abooeht befahre," Jason responded to Kristin with a bit of a laugh.

This was not a conversation that she had expected to continue having. She instantly started twisting her hair a little bit, clearly a bit nervous. "Well uh... de cahnversation? It was abooeht... um... guys... and 'ow dey tend to be stupid and oblivious to people... and uh... stuff like dat... just fahrget it..." she ended up saying, her mind was racing. Her face was feeling a bit warm, and she seemed to be blushing in general with the way the conversation was going.

Mary was listening as all was being said between the person running the store and Stella. Stopping by the armory was definitely a thing that needed to happen. Since a spare weapon for Stella, and maybe armor or something like that for defensive purposes and all to protect her. That would be better in general, and give her a bit more of a peace of mind in general. Though it probably wasn't going to really help out all in all too much with that. It would truthfully just make her personally feel just a tad bit better.

"Sure, we can go to the armory. Actually, there are a few other things there that might be useful. Like shields and armor that can help you in a protective capacity. Since you can't always win a fight without being a protected or anything like that yourself," she said to Stella, before she waved slightly at the person running the store, and headed for the door. "Come on, I'll show you the way there," she added, before she started leading the way to the armory.

Andy laughed and smiled at Tammy. "Alright noted. Not you." She listened to Chiron's directions and nodded, pulling a piece of paper and pen toward herself. "I agree. I think Demi could be mostly neutral with the Romans." She wrote down Demi's name on the paper. And slid it toward Chiron. She wasn't sure what to do after that though.

She sat there thinking. Wondering if Demi was the best choice, but his name was on the paper and it made sense to her. It'd give him something to do other than hope he'd get Zeke's attention. She didn't understand why Demi was obsessed with hanging out with Zeke. The two of them had a cool relationship. He wasn't as pushy with her as he had been, and he wasn't mean to her like he was to others sometimes. Zeke definitely wasn't the right name. She had an image of him trying to get along with any of the Romans other than Nancy and it was full of violence.

"Thank you." Niah told the camper. She had no idea who the camper was, but it didn't matter they were Greek. "Okay. Meet back up with you later." Niah said smiling at her friend and then headed toward the big house. She wasn't surprised that Chiron was there, he usually was.

She entered the house and listened for voices and then followed them. In the basement, there was a gathering of a bunch of campers. She recognized a few, but there were a few she didn't know. She saw Daniella and waved before finding a spot near her to stand quietly and let the meeting finish. She didn't want to interrupt more than she had by entering the room.

Armory:

"No problem hope you find whatever you need from there." The Iris camper said waving goodbye to both Mary and Stella before going back to tending to the other campers, who were mainly there for candy by the looks of it. The walk to the armory wasnt to far, it was open for any campers who wanted to get some gear. It was always supplied by the Hephaestus who tended to the camp's forges, inside the armory were racks of Greek armor, from light armor to the heavy kind, and weapons from celestial bronze knives all the way up to spears. And then there was a crate with a blanket over it in the very back of the armory.

Arena:

Leda's half siblings were cheering Leda on seeing her skill was really good and seeing Cassian getting all tied up was also pretty entertaining to watch as well to. Some of Mr. D's kids frowned slightly, before he was able to shrug off the ropes and quickly closed the gap. Thats when they cheered Cassian on, both of their half siblings had stopped sparing and watched the show going on as well, some of the other campers who were there stopped to watch as well to.

The Beach:

In the distance in Long Island Sound Nancy would be able to see some Hippocampi surfacing and some looked like they were having fun, Joani snuggled up closer around Nancy's neck making a little cooing sound clearly wanting attention from her and trying to make Nancy feel better. Nancy would also notice some Greek campers Hepheastus and what looked like some kind of mini sub, it was being dragged slowly by a pair of Pegasi towards the shore. There were few other younger campers were out playing in the water as well to now most likely Aphrodite girls by the looks of it, but both groups were a distance away from Nancy at the moment.

Kristin thought for a moment, the beach and lake were both the nicest places to go for a walk around the camp, before suggesting it. "The beach and lake are both really good places for walks especially in the early morning and evenings, I sometimes do that before everyone else in camp does." Kristin suggested, but she was just fine with walking around the camp in general as well to, as she looked between Jason and Janelle, as Jason pointed towards his sister what they were talking about.

Of course it did come to boys, usually Aphrodite kids talked about boys or just relationships in general, seeing that Janelle was a little bit uncomfortable with the subject at the moment and understood that look. "I've had a relationship or two while in camp, but they didnt really last to long though." Kristin said it usually just ended up that either one of them cheated or they just werent really into the relationship. "Anyway, if you just want to talk about it privately or something just girl talk in general you can come to me." Kristin said the last bit to Janelle quiet enough so that she could only hear.

"Oh thank the gods I thought I was going to be the only one to do this whole thing." Danielle whispered to Niah as she went over to stand next to her before pointing towards Chiron to give her the rundown. "So basically they writing down the names of they think are the best for the liaison role, I guess whoever has the most names gets it or something." Danielle told Niah, she was kind of hoping that Madalyne or Nancy were here with her but Niah was pretty much the next best thing in her opinion. "The two youngest the child of Pluto and Jupiter voted for the other son of Jupiter. And the daughter of Neptune voted for the daughter of Minerva." Danielle told her as well to.

Kiera looked over towards Niah as she entered the room, she didnt really know her all that well really either but she seemed to be pretty nice and she was also really close to the two Roman leaders as well to, as she watched the other cabin councilors started to write down their names as well to and started to put their votes forward into the pile of names. Some of them giving their opinions to who they thought was the best fit. Tammy decided to vote Leda mainly as a joke and teasing her half-sister for the post part and wanted to see what she did, Lauryn ended up voting for Kristin as well along with Alannah. Theresa voted for Demetri, she looked kind of bored of it as well to,

Madalyne Crane

The kid looked over at Demi for a moment and pouted slightly, it really was harmless at least in his eyes. "Nothing was replaced or tampered with, they were just moved." The kid said to Demi as he turned to look at Zeke as he came into the room and started to get a mischievous look in his eyes and smirked slightly. Before holding up his hands he wasnt going to do anything at least for now anyway, as he turned to see the Roman entering the infirmary. "Looks like the Roman needs you for something." The kid said before getting up and stretched slightly. "Anyway laters."

Madalyne looked over towards Niah. "I'll see you whenever we are ready to leave for our quests." She said to Niah as she started to make her way over towards the Greek's infirmary, she had been there probably once or twice to see what they had and offer any kind of trade with the Legion's own supplies. She walked over sticking her head into the small building seeing a few campers who were in there, they were all Greek of course. She spotted Zeke and Demi talking amongst themselves and made her way over towards Zeke, she really wasnt sure how Zeke would react to seeing her or if he still wanted to talk with Nancy. "Hey, Zeke right?" Madalyne asked him as she gave a slight wave towards Demi. "Nancy wanted you to come see her, she saw a prophecy and she really needs to talk to you about it and it's really important." Madalyne said leaning in to him so only he could hear. "I can help out here if you'd like I have some first aide skills." Madalyne said, it was pretty much standard training for Romans to.

Stella nodded at that and then smiled a bit as she looked at the Iris camper. "Thank you for all your help." She gathered up her backpack and then looked over at Marygold and smiled at her. "Oh do you think they'll have armor in my size? That's good to hear." She walked out of the camp store with her towards the Camp Armory, and then started to lift her left hand to her lips and started to chew on her fingernails. She didn't realize that she was doing it at all, as it really was an unconscious habit of hers. She mostly was nervous at that point, as it was becoming clear that she was over her head a bit.

Once they got to the armory, she started looking around to see if there were any knives or armor that stood out to her. She did notice the crate that in was back that was covered with a blanket, and that caught her attention. She walked to the back of the armory, and then pulled the blanket off the crate and looked at what was inside. It seemed to be an assortment of items, but none of them really spoke to her. Sure, they did seem special, but none of them seemed right to her. She replaced the blanket over the crate and then head over to the wall of knives and looked it over.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Infirmary ---> Beach -- Camp Half-Blood
Skills:

Ezekiel froze for a moment when Demetri answered him. Zeke had been talking to himself but Demetri had heard it all the same and thought he was being addressed. A Hermes kid was sitting there, watching the whole thing unfold. So much for Ezekiel having a chance to talk to Janelle first.
Ezekiel looked at Demetri when he scrambled to find ginger for Ezekiel. He walked forward, taking the container from Demi before he looked for elderberry and honey. Ezekiel found the products easily enough thanks to Demetri reorganizing the stores back to how they should be.
”Thanks. There’s a camper with a cold so I figured I could brew a tea first. If you are making up supplies for Andy and Arthur you probably should for the others going on quests,” he noted. He took his supplies and brought them to a small hot plate and filled a pot with water before setting it on the burner and turned the mini propane bottle on. As he was working, he heard a familiar voice and turned around. Zeke right?
Instantly Zeke’s blood started to boil faster than the water could heat up. He turned back around as Madalyne tried talking to him, saying something about Nancy having a prophecy. Well freaking good for her. Maybe she should run to their daddy and tell him. Ezekiel started to add some of the ginger to an infuser when Madalyne whispered into Zeke’s ear that she could help and he slammed his hand onto the counter.
”First off, I don’t trust my campers in the hands of anyone other than my siblings,” he said and turned to look at Madalyne. ”Second, you had the nerve to yell at me yesterday and don’t remember me enough to know for sure who I am?” Ezekiel shook his head and turned back to finish his task. ”If this prophecy is so damn important, why isn’t Nancy here herself?”

Madalyne looked down for a moment and sighed slightly to herself knowing that she shouldn't really have snapped like that in front of him or anyone really for that matter. "Listen, I apologize for that yesterday we all were under a lot of pressure last night and I really am sorry for snapping at you like that." Madalyne said to Zeke, she was pretty sure that Nancy had mentioned what happened to her in the past at the Lotus Hotel. "It's because it involves you, and a few others, her and the Lotus Hotel and Casino." Madalyne said quietly looking at Zeke. "She isn't here because she is shaken up about going back there, and she asked for you personally." She told him.

Ezekiel finished adding the herbs to the infuser. Now all he had to do was wait for the water to boil and waiting never made a pot boil faster. All he could do was listen to Madalyne and resist the urge to roll his eyes at her apology. He looked over at Demetri, feeling compelled to look at the demi-god. A softness settled over Ezekiel and he sighed in some form of defeat before looking at the floor.
They had all been pretty heated yesterday and Ezekiel did feel bad that Madalyne had been cursed. Zeus had created that curse himself and it was some nasty piece of work. His head snapped up when Madalyne briefly explained some of what the prophecy was about. The Lotus hotel and him? Zeke was torn with wanting to tear out of the infirmary and listen to what Nancy wanted to say and to stay put, barricade the door and refuse to leave the camp ever again. Nancy didn't talk much about her time there but words unspoken left a bigger mark than details freely shared.
"I need to finish this first," Zeke nodded towards the pot of water warming and cup with herbs.

Madalyne stared at what Zeke was doing and it looked like that he was making some kind of tea by the looks of it, before turning her attention towards him. "It looks like you are making tea. I could finish making it if you'd like." She offered.

Ezekiel glared at Madalyne, not fully trusting her and he likely wouldn’t when it came to the infirmary and the care of the patients but she was here for his half-sister and if there was one thing he could trust it was Madalyne caring for Nancy.
”Fine. When the water is about to boil, pour it into that cup. Let the herbs steep for five minutes before taking out the infuser. I’ll send my half-sibling over to show you what camper that goes to,” he said and dropped his arms, looking at Demetri. ”Are you coming?” He turned without waiting for an answer and looked for his half-sibling from earlier. He pointed out Madalyne and explained the tea he was making before grabbing his shirt and jacket from earlier and changed once more. Ezekiel discarded the shirt he had worn to tend to the campers into a bin to be washed and sanitized before walking out of the infirmary.
He hoped Demetri would choose to follow but Ezekiel’s mind was on other things now. He didn’t go on a quest because he didn’t want to leave camp. He wanted to stay here, look after campers, play games and go after the occasional monster that breached the barrier.
”Prophecies be damned. I’m not leaving,” he decided. Zeke made it to the beach, finding Nancy and crossed his arms and looked at her. ”Well, you got me here. What’s this damned prophecy?” His physical stance and words were hard but his eyes were fluid as they shifted over Nancy’s form, conducting an assessment to make sure she was okay.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Beach
Skills: N/A

Nancy was glad to see the other groups away from her. She didn't want to talk to people right now. She was making an exception for Zeke, as they had become somewhat close, and he deserved to have this information. Nancy pet Joanie's nose, appreciating the intuitive nature of the tiny dragon. She still felt shattered, but slowly, Nancy was pulling the pieces back together. Each breath came a little bit easier. The vividness of the trauma of the Hotel was beginning to dim bit by bit, moment by moment, breath by breath. "I'm okay, girl," she murmured to her dragon.

She then saw Zeke coming up the beach - and she shattered again, realizing that he wasn't alone. She should have asked for Mads and Niah to send him alone. All of her walls and defenses shot up, like a suit of emotional armor had been crafted around her, something that Nancy could hide inside. She stood up from where she had been sitting and remained still, her body tense, her posture rigid - even as she wanted to flip the world off and just leave all of this behind. Nancy's eyes narrowed as Zeke approached, his stance hard and his words cutting.

Fine. He could go fucking die for all I care. "You're going to the - the hotel. With him," her eyes darted to Demetri. "Try not to die," Nancy then turned around and started walking off in a huff, not really knowing what directions she was going or what she had in mind, but she felt like a raw and aching wound. She knew she should've told Zeke more. But with a stranger there, Nancy's guard went up. And this was a prophecy that required her to reflect and dwell on the most traumatic events of her life.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: the Arena
Skills: N/A

Leda's eyes widened, as Cassian displayed an ability she hadn't thought him capable of. She almost looked around to see if any Hecate kids were around, getting revenge on her for dumping Rebecca last year. "What the bloody hell..." Leda murmured, fascinated - but also angry to see a sword held in the distance between them. "That's cheating, mate. Impressive. How'd you do it? I doubt Mr. D would toss a power like that to one of his kids," Leda asked. She considered using her superspeed to actually kick him in the ass and send him flying, but they really couldn't spend all day fighting. And a draw or stalemate, Leda supposed, would have to be good enough. She'd need to figure out a way to counter whatever sort of magic tricks he had anyways.

Leda then tossed him back his bow, her sword in its necklace form around her neck. She smirked a bit as Cassian marveled at her speed. "Thanks, I'm the fastest kid of Iris or Hermes here at camp," she boasted - and it wasn't a lie. Leda was the fastest of all her siblings - at least, of the ones she had met. It was possible there was another sibling of hers out in the world who was faster, but Leda sincerely doubted it. And there was no way she could believe a Hermes kid beating her. "Tam's the only one who comes close."

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Beach
Skills:

Demetri knew that Zeke was right. He should be making travel supplies for all of the campers going on a quest, not just Andy and Arthur. There was a pang of guilt hanging in his chest from the comment. He wanted to say something, to apologize for being selfish when suddenly Madalyne came into the room. It was hard to forget the name of a woman who's cursed by your father. The guilt grew deeper, and so did his wanting to apologize. She whispered something into Zeke's ear, immediately making Demi a third unwanted wheel in the room. Sure he and Zeke were going out now, but it wasn't even fully official. At least not until he spoke to Janelle. Demetri took a step back, giving them some space. Instantly he felt as he did back in school, as if his existence alone was wasting space.

Whatever it was that she had said to him had clearly set Zeke off. Demi jolted back slightly, bumping into a nearby table with a soft clatter. He began to wish he could disappear, wanting nothing more than to leave the room. He didn't want to interfere with what was happening, yet at the same time he wanted to make sure Zeke was ok. The pair went back and forth for a moment, all the while as Demetri stood there as silent as can be. When it all finally finished Zeke had all but stormed out of the room. His question sounded more like a demand than anything, though Demi would gladly follow behind. He gave Madalyne an apologetic wave goodbye as he shuffled along behind Zeke. He found himself five paces behind the son of Apollo, constantly wanting to say something but the words kept getting caught in his throat.

By the time they'd reached the beach it was already too late. Zeke was still in a foul mood, and from the looks of Nancy, she wasn't fairing much better. A part of Demetri wondered if she'd yell again, like she did the night before by the fire. Demi hung back, afraid to get too close to this until he heard her say the prophecy. Though, it sounded more like a warning of death than anything. The way she said with him sent another jab in Demis chest. But just like with Zeke, before he could have any time to react she turned around and began to leave. His eyes began to get misty, his vision starting to blur as he took a deep breath. "No. Fuck that. Both of you are acting like children."

Demetri tried to steal his nerves, marching forth towards Zeke before taking his hand in his and trying to lead him towards Nancy. He didn't know which of the two he found more frightening, but he had to do something. "If you wanted to speak to him alone that's fine. But you don't get to leave some cryptic ass message and storm off. Now the two of you talk, I'll be off alone. I'm used to it by now anyways." Demetri could tell when he wasn't wanted, and back at school that was all the time. So why should now be any different? He felt the familiar knots forming in his throat, the pain in his chest as he breathing got shallow, he hated conflict, hated that he was stark in the center of it right now, and hated to the idea that Zeke might die because of him and that his very existence in this moment was hindering any actual conversation to help him out of it.

Demetri had no idea what this hotel was, or why they would go there, or even how they would die because of it. It didn't sound all that impressive, but there was clearly more to the story. "Sorry for…sorry for being in the way. I don't care what happens to me just, make sure Zeke knows how to get out of it alright." Demis' hand began to go slack in Zeke's, slowly letting go as he began to walk away from the pair so that they could have their chat. He had no idea what he'd do in the meantime other than try and push down his feelings.

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Arena
Skills:

Cassian followed Ledas' eyes as they widened as if to wonder how he'd managed his trick. He stifled a laugh as she called it cheating, she wasn't wrong, but he liked to think of it as more of an Ace in his sleeve. The corner of his mouth curved into a cocky smirk as she called it impressive, though he was glad she didn't notice the amount of concentration it took to pull it off. He gave her a warm chuckle as he grabbed his bow and slung it over his shoulder. "Well you're not wrong. My dad didn't give me this gift, that would be my mother. As to how I did it." His voice trailed off.

Cassian glanced around at all the campers that were staring at them. "It's kinda a secret I don't like to talk about. Maybe if we're ever alone I might share it." He pulled on the collar of his shirt as he began to feel a bit hot, both from the spar as well as the subject. He didn't want others to know his legacy, it was bad enough he was the camp director's son, and gifted with the power of madness instead of vines, but to throw in the legacy of his grandmother? He'd never make a friend in edgewise. "Fastest kid huh? Glad I picked you to spar with then. Gotta be ready for anything, even those with immense speed. That is…if I'm ever picked for a mission. "

Jason and Janelle Gauger

Location: Camp Grounds
Skills: N/A

Janelle just sort of waved off what it was that Kristin was saying about the topic of conversation. Personally, she'd rather just ignore that conversation from before and go on with just wandering around and enjoying the day in general. At least until her brother left for his quest and she headed over to the climbing wall afterwards to meet up with Jace there. Of course that all was going to be after the counselor meeting, and she wasn't too sure what was going on there, and she really didn't care too much at the moment.

Jason just sort of shrugged with response to what Janelle was saying. He was just teasing her about it, but he had been serious when he had told her that she just needed to let him know if she needed him to go beat someone up or whatever. She wanted to drop the subject or whatever, so that was perfectly fine with him. He had only directed the question towards Janelle since it really had been her thing with regards to the conversation, and Kristin had asked in general about it really.

"De beach ahr de lake sounds nice, naht too sure where either o' you two would want to go," Janelle responded to Kristin when she suggested a place to go walk around or something like that. She didn't very much care about where to go, as long as it maybe didn't have too many people. Janelle preferred to be able to just go for a walk, enjoy the breeze, and not have to worry too much about any sort of loud noises that might startle her or mess with her hearing.

"I mean, I'm fine either way, just walkin alahng de beach ahr goin over by de lake. Sence either are pretty nice places to go around 'ere, I wouldn't mend walkin down by de beach though," Jason commented with a bit of a shrug. Right now, as long as he was more or less able to hang around his sister, he didn't care where they went, since once the counselor meeting was over, he'd probably be heading off on his quest, and it would be a little while before they ran into each other again.

"There might be, we just never know unless we look right?" Mary said to her with a smile, before continuing to lead the way to the armory. Once there, Mary started looking around at everything in the area. Her attention was drawn towards the crate that Stella had gone to, and she walked over, before looking into the crate at all of the odds and ends sort of things in the box. She had been wanting to head to the Armory to find some throwing knives, and there just so happened to be a set on a bandolier of sorts sitting in the box. Mary ended up pulling them out, deciding to see about taking them with her, "These probably will be useful..." she muttered to herself.

Now she set to work trying to potentially help Stella out with finding something that might be helpful for her. Stella was looking over at the wall of knives, so she turned her attention towards finding maybe a set of armor that would be fitting for her. Thankfully, everything came in a range of sizes, and eventually, Mary found a set of armor that looked like it would fit Stella and be light enough for her. "I found some armor that looks like it'll fit you if you want it," she said, before carrying it over to her.

Andy shifted. Kristin was a good vote too. She decided if Kristin won she'd be happy with that too. It was odd, this voting. She didn't quite know what the end result would be. She smiled at Niah as she entered and wondered why it was her and not Nancy at the meeting. She knew that Mads wasn't a leader anymore but Nancy still was and should have been there as the new leader girl.

If Niah was sent she wondered what that meant. She gave Niah a small wave, who returned it. She looked to Chiron waiting for the end result of this voting. Since Demi and Kristin were tied with three votes each she was fine with that. Maybe Chiron would make the deciding vote?

Location: Big House
Skills:

"Hey, Danielle. Thank you." She said quietly. "Something came up that distracted us. I need to talk with Chiron after this. So stay behind so you can know too." She was whispering but the room was fairly quiet as the Greeks cast their votes. Whoever won the vote would need to join too so they could know about the situation, but since she was reporting directly to Chiron maybe it would be fine if the person wasn't there.

It seemed likely since it was a tie between two people not there. Niah thought that was interesting. Why choose non-cabin leaders? What sort of logic were the Greeks using to decide who to pick. She didn't know the child of Minerva, but she was aware of who Andy's brother was. He didn't seem responsible enough. He was quite often distracted and a little chaotic. But at least none of them were children of Baccuas. Niah would have personally stepped in if that was happening.
