OriginThe Hatake Family is seated atop Konohagakure's echelons with a great yet questionable reputation as both the Uchiha Clan's beloved branch family and the compromising fact that they're the true founder of the village. Since the humble beginnings, people often, especially the aged civilians and leaf elders would treat them contemptuously for regressing and annexing like submissive cash grubbers to the Uchiha's folly than standing independently. What else could have been done? Okumori, the forest that became Konoha, once belonged to the Hatake but at the end of the Warring States Era, they surrendered their territorial rights to the Uchiha and Senju because they were merely tycoons, not Shinobi, a stigma that remains even in the present day.
As Konoha grew in fame across the borders, its political framework remained volatile through unseen subterfuges, however, the Hatake heeded their beliefs and diverted their attention to the industrial development of the village. Rather than politics, which their lord, the Uchiha and their argumentative disposition to the public, the Hatake used their business background and established industrial breakthroughs in power plants, agriculture, ninja science, architecture and money lending. They're unbothered by the people's opinions and the lavishing power lust of their Lord, the Hatake's achievements are invaluable to the Uchiha, which they take credit for, their reputation mirrors their Lord's greatness. However, not all Hatake are riding the blinding light of their Lord, the stigma remains in those who yearned for complete independence from the Uchiha, conspiring members of the Hatake who lived past the founding into the present are these.
If Mio's conflicting disposition could be summarized. She's the young head of the Hatake who refuses to be living under the shadow of a deceitful prosperity and stockholm syndrome affection with her family towards the Uchiha and anything the village makes of her. She's well aware of the Uchiha's abusive mental grip and grooming of Hatake Family leaders from childhood, all Hatake leaders in the past were horrifyingly children, groomed by their predator. Still, not all Uchiha are bad, if only a certain Uchiha twin in the past turned their fate around.
Personality Mio is melancholic and persistently disruptive, although friendly, she holds the concept of respect to high standards, it must be earned rather than given. To her, might is what makes everything and without strength, you cannot protect anything, let alone your bonds and yourself, because of being groomed by the overwhelmingly high standards of her family, she's not afraid to rebel against and force her edge of ideals. She defies the blood that runs in her veins yet as the branches lead to its roots, there's no question that she embraces herself well.
ShowcaseThe Hatake Family's scion's the Raikōha. A Sensory Space-Time Ninjutsu inspired by Uchihas on their Sharingan Mode, the purple-clad lightning turns their body into pure lightning and intercepts electric signals. During Raikōha Mode, their cognitive processes are dialed up to "Sharingan" levels, sharpening thought process and enhancing their Jutsu with the sharp cutting attribute of lightning. Contrary to the belief of hyped speed-blitzing among Teleporters/Speedsters, Mio only employs bursts of Raikōha at her disposal, hindering her from its full potential since she focuses on one aspect.
ElementsLightning (Affinity)
ArmsTwin Swords: Yamatō and Muhontō
Both are self-inflicted swords, when Mio stabs herself with the Yamatō, the Yin-Yang Blade, she splits herself into two distinct twins, Nozomi and Otoha, and in order to re-emerge as Mio once more, the Muhontō, the Unifier Blade, is used by Nozomi to stab Otoha.
Main JutsuRaikōha: Electric Mirror Wheel
(B-Rank)
Mio employs Raikōha by enhancing her thought-processes and muscle reflexes to match the copying aspect of the Sharingan at short bursts, in this form, she dedicates it to copying other people's swordsmanship, her definitive fighting style.
Raikōha: Motivated Force Edged Rainstorm Blades
(C-Rank)
Mio invokes ethereal blades of lightning.
Body Flicker: Lightning Mirage
(D-Rank)
Mio makes multiple afterimages for feinting and taunting.
Flaws/Points of FocusThough powerful in her own way, Mio burns a lot of stamina due to over-reliance on the Raikōha and the mindset of ending fights quickly rather than savoring it, like gaining Intel, she does not do well in long term battles and the fact that the Raikōha, leaves long lasting numbness. Without a sword, Mio cannot fight hand-to-hand unless she has Raikōha active to enhance her speed but this also fails against experts in Taijutsu, speed of the Raikōha and her raw base speed is not enough. Mio is a one-trick pony, the only Jutsu she mostly exhibits is the Raikōha, people know what to expect so as her enemies. The Kenjutsu she copies does not equate to the original either, she needs to relearn it and master it herself.
