@Dark Cloud Hades (and Dead Cells) would be worth the price/a whole lot of content. Regardless of my feelings of either. But an online friend of mine swears by Monster Hunter Generations. (Just don't get Rise.)

And I refuse to play fifty dollars to play a worse version of Zelda than what was on the 64.

So it depends on how much online gaming you do.

Well, the amount of content in MHGU is appealing, I like a game I can sink hours into. I just am hesitant cause I dunno how lively the online is. It is sorta an important thing for the G rank hunts or like the Hunter Guild hunts. Hollow Knight sadly I cannot afford cause I have a 12% tax here so I'm like a dollar short.

Save for Hollow Knight. :P

Yeah, MHGU is content rich as well. Though I don't know how it compares to other games in the series. (I enjoyed World and kinda hated Rise.)

Most comments I'm reading about the game (via Reddit thread, "if its worth buying") say yes. For its sheer amount of stuff to do/hours you can put into it. Though it does come with a lot of caveats. So it'll depend on how little graphics matter, and if you can accept simple level design and more clunky/'old school' controls.

The online is apparently less populated than Rise. But it's still fairly active. According to the threads I've looked at. (Plus, if its on sale. You might get an influx of new players.)

World was fun. I'll probably pick up World 2 or whatever it's called immediately.

I kinda suck ass at it but it's fun.

Steam sales may my wallet Rest In Peace. Looking at AI the Somnium Files, Monster Hunter Rise, and Jurassic World so far. I’m feelin’ another 999 type game and hunting monsters is pretty self explanatory. Hoping AI has some good playtime to it. I don’t know anything about Jurassic World outside of the movies, but dinosaurs are so cool.

Yeah the full package is spicy price wise. I’m not planning on blitzing it, so I’m waiting for another sale for the DLC but grabbing the base game now.

If you already adore MH games I'd say just go for the full package. You can jam through base game pretty quickly, i would guess as thats how it worked with my second MHW playthrough, if you still know how to play whatever weapon(s) you usually use. You'll be ready for the DLC before you know it and happy you have it ready to go.

If you like them but don't usually 100% them just go for the regular package. You can still spend a decent amount of time ironing out getting all the upgrades for the weapons and gear you like, particularly if you take your time or try out some new weapons you haven't used before or maybe kinda liked in MHW but didn't Main. Plus by the time you're ready for the DLC there might be some teases for MHW 2.

I am so goddam ready for MHW 2.

@BangoSkank individually you can get them for $90 but the bundle for both Rise itself AND Sunbreak is $100. Which is odd, I used to own a hard copy of Rise unfortunately I traded it in last year before Sunbreak was announced. :p

I dunno, I don't really care about MHW 2 because it won't be on Switch.

MHW was amazing.

I would probably have liked Rise but I dont really like the zip around bug thing idea. Like I'm sure I would come to like it, but I don't really need to be spending the kind of time I'd probably spend playing that game if i got it.

I really like Switches, but man, having it on PC is something. I've gotta upgrade mine at some point relatively soon, but I've been using a laptop that was $500 when I got it. It's selling for $800 now.

If you've got that kind of money to spare keep an eye out around Black Friday.

I've been thinking of repurchasing MHW on PC once I get a new laptop that can run such games. I enjoyed Rise, and I'm enjoying Sunbreak now - the wirebugs took some getting used to but now I love them, it's so fun to move around with them. That being said, I also love love loved World. It's probably my second favorite Monster Hunter title, after 4U (which btw, yay my fav monster Shagaru is back in Sunbreak!) and I'm much looking forward to "World 2." Or I guess it would be Monster Hunter 6, since World and Rise together are the 5th generation games. I don't really know what it was about World for me that made me like it so dang much, and more than Rise. I remember first playing it being so weirded out by all the changes they made from the previous gen haha, but it turned out real well for Capcom 'cause it got so many people into the series.

But anyway, ya. Monster Hunter good. Sunbreak is nice so far, the follower quests I thought would be kind of annoying with the NPCs talking through the hunt but they're pretty charming actually. I love the transition from Japan and Yokai inspired monsters to classic like Western movie monsters. Taking the game slow but having fun.

Besides that I've been slowly catching up on my other Switch games. Kirby was pretty fun. Triangle Strategy is awesome if you like strategy games. Ace Attorney Chronicles is amazing, definitely recommend for fans of the series or anyone that wants to jump into it. And I'm super hyped for Live A Live remake later this month. And Harvestella trailer looked pretty interesting.

Yeah I saw the trailer for Harvestella, it looks rough atm just by the gameplay footage. Hopefully some improvements will come, anyways. I believe the biggest draw to MH Worlds was it's superb graphics and excellent controls.

Just replaying MHGU has me realizing just how much better the weapons feel in Rise. There is way more maneuverability in Rise, like in Rise I have a more responsive dodge and directional input whereas in MHGU I have to pray I can mash B at the right moment to not get flattened by a damn giant bull frog. To say the least I am deeply regretting my decision to get rid of my copy of Rise last year before the DLC was announced.

Oh also I'm late saying this but putting Sora in Smash was the stupidest thing I've experienced. Fuck you Sakuri, there were plenty more ICONIC characters but no! The character with no fucking personality whatsoever was chosen, Sora just has famous friends and no real substance.

On one hand you are entitled to your opinion,

On the other you have to at least commend them for even making it possible. Most wanted or not, Disney's stingy with their copyright.

Absolutely a fair point. Oh no, I totally agree with you there it is absolutely something that they got Sora in Smash and I certainly commend them on that. My gripe is two things, why not a more iconic character and why end adding new content to the game when it was a probability they could have milked the franchise a bit longer?

Cant answer the first one out of sheer bias. Though I'd probably be equally shocked if they added, like, Zagreus from Hades into Smash. But he'd probably function similar to Byleth so *shrug*.

Second. They'd have to let the series/game (and in fact, the people working on the stuff) rest at some point. Ultimate is meant to be the last installment after all, The Big One in bold.

And frankly, let the arguments over the who's who of smash bros picks die. Please.
