I get that. Will this apply for other games too though? I just ask because as far as I can tell, most of these games (referring to the games the characters not including mine are from) feature only unbreakable weapons. Also, making a build is not a Dungreed logic thing, it's a 'Most roguelites do this' type of thing.
Titles I know that do not have breakable weapons include: Enter the Gungeon, Exit the Gungeon, Hades, Elden Ring, Spelunky 1 and 2, Dungreed, Link's Awakening (again), Terraria, Stardew Valley, etc.
Granted, some of those do not require builds, but many do.
I guess for the sake of the rp though if I must, maybe only Legendary and Rare weapons don't break ever since they are rare outside of red crystals and skull chests and cursed chests.
Yeah, anything that isn't specifically Unbreakable will be breakable, and it will happen depending on how strong the weapon and how strong the opposing force are. Stuff like shields that are made to take damage would, of course, stand up much better. It would take a seriously quality piece of gear to stand up to an industrial wood chipper, for instance, or the tail lash of the Ender Dragon!
I do mean specifically from taking damage, by the way, since just using a weapon for its intended purpose probably wouldn't degrade it unless severely abused.

Alright! Can we compromise and say that only the Shortsword is fully unbreakable since it is the first weapon ever and has ancient magic? It can be the only one but it will never break no matter what. Maybe that magic must be awakened or something as well...
@Lugubrious question, I may be jumping the gun but as Benedict is a strategist and quite a man of invaluable intelligence. Might he already be working with the Seekers in some capacity? It seems a bit easier that way so he already is known at least by those in charge. What are your thoughts? And uh if you have no clue who I'm talking about I'll just worry about this after I post my sheet. heheh

Also, would you like an example?
He could always just get a better weapon, but for that very reason, even an invincible shortsword would probably be replaced soon anyway due to low damage output. An example of what?

Doing something like that would involve a retcon. Not many know of the Seekers existence no matter how smart they are, and no matter how smart someone might be, that isn't enough for an exemption from Galeem's influence.
@Lugubrious Alright, then maybe a different organisation?
EDIT: Oooh ooooh, it's a bit on the nose but what about Limsa's Grand Company the Maelstrom? Or is Limsa just governed by the Admiral herself, as it could be there is no Maelstrom. It's been awhile since that part of the rp, so do tell me if I'm wrong. Anyhow I should get to work on this sheet.

We've left the Deep Blue Seaside behind. For your information though, the Maelstrom does exist just for inner-city security in Limsa Lominscuttle Town, while the Azure Fleet is the main military force.

Of my writing. Also, I guess it won't matter if it's invincible or not because of all the new weapons that come with being in a world full of new things, so scratch that. Either way, I have fixed what you asked on the sheet. May I move it now?

That's okay, no sample required. As long as it fits the Casual criteria then you're good. If the sheet's shipshape then you can post it to the Characters tab and I'll DM you in a bit to talk about an entry point.
@Squashedquatch Apologies, but I thought you said you fixed the power? It still says 'Perinu's Grace (Allows for revival once per month, allows for escaping any scenarios against any enemies once HP hits 0. This works forever but can only bring him so'

Fleshed out the power a bit and added one or two extra features! I'm fully done!

I'm afraid I'm still just a little in the dark. It says three consecutive uses will result in disappearance and a teleport. Does that mean he stops existing and then goes somewhere? Where might that be?

He doesn't stop existing. I'm bad at wording. He just teleports VERY far away, as if Perinu could sense that he couldn't win. It's kind of up to you though.
@Lugubrious Thank you for the info. I think I will be able to pump out my sheet before tomorrow. Sorry for the barrage of questions, I'm just excited. :D
(Didn't mean to pester, apologies if I annoyed you.)

Ah, alright. Maybe to the last place he rested, then.
I will message you tomorrow. In the mean time, please feel free to read the current page's posts, maybe farther if you feel like it, just to give you an idea where everyone is. As it happens, we just arrived at two fresh new locales, so it's a good time to join.

No problem, and no rush. We both want a sheet for a character that will inspire you for a good long time. And don't worry about the questions, I'm here (and happy) to help. The only thing that annoys me is dashed hopes.

Which place has the most activity and would be the most likely place for The Adventurer to land?
The Dystopiascape has a lot of action but Gutsford in particular is pretty safe, so the team will need to roll out for things to get interesting. Meanwhile, Dirtmouth is in a rough-and-tumble area populated by miners and bandits, above a Chasm that leads deep into a vast subterranean land. Dirtmouth seems more likely. Keep in mind though, he'll have been in the area making a living for quite a while, or wandering for a while only to end up there. The World of Light didn't just start existing today.

Got it, I'll start in Dirtmouth having just wandered in. Perhaps fighting a bandit would attract enough attention that one of your characters sees me?
Personality: Long ago one would have described the likes of Benedict Pascal as impulsive, and single-minded. Always looking for an opportunity to outdo others and achieve recognition for his deeds. He would have ran a mile to beat a messenger on horseback to their destination if it would get the attention of his lord or lady.
However with age came responsibility, no longer was he the young brazen soldier he once was during the Saltiron War. With the death of Lady Destra, Benedict changed; he didn't partake in the drink as he once did, so not to impair his judgement. The fire within him while it still burned, was tempered with the resolve to see to it those he served would succeed. Benedict seems almost humorless, always maintaining a detached countenance in his dealings with most parties.
He doesn't easily betray his emotions, however he has on occasion been one to crack his rigid demeanor to offer crass advice or a sarcastic comment if whimsy takes him. Benedict is blunt, and uncompromising when the situation demands it. He will do what he must to ensure victory, even if it would come at a heavy cost. Utility is his conviction, to succeed one must make the best choices no matter the cost. No sacrifice is too great, all means justify the ends.
Background: Benedict was a bannerman of House Wolffort during the Saltiron War. In those years of conflict the now reserved and almost emotionally void Benedict had been a much different man, he was feisty and always eager to jump into battles to make a name for himself. Over time, Benedict became an invaluable strategist to House Wolffort. His rashness from his early years had faded away, and he was now his lord's level-headed right hand man.
For years now he had been the Wolffort demesne's most invaluable subject, both as an adviser to the lord of House Wolffort and an ingenious military tactician on the field of battle. Following the death of the late Lady Destra, Benedict swore to look after her only sire and heir to House Wolffort. And so he would ensure his ward was always kept from harm and offer him his council when the need arose thus to make certain the prince would have the power to lead.
Now, Benedict's hair grew silver with age but his eyes never dulled. His ward the young Serenoa was becoming a young man and Symon's health had began to fail him as he too grew old, and the time for his son to take up his mantle of lord was getting close. With the upcoming marriage to be arranged to strengthen the kingdom's ties to Aesfrost, Benedict's responsibilities grew anon both to the House and Serenoa with his father bedridden and ill.
Much to do yet so little time to do it, a ship to see to and guests to greet with no real time of arrival scheduled. No matter, he would see to it that both he and his ward would be there to welcome the bride-to-be on time. At least that was what he anticipated, yet as fate would have it bandits were not the only thing that waylaid them that day... Specialty:Strategist Level:1 Experience:0/10
Powers:
Raging Beast:With mere words and some tactical acumen, Benedict can bolster an allies strengths in combat with his advisement. The effected ally has their physical damage slightly increased for a moderate period of time. Starting Power:LVL 1
Strengths:
Saltiron Veteran:As a man who saw his fair share of battles, Benedict is no stranger to the blade but his tastes are far more subtle as he truly excels with the cane sword. While he wields most basic weapons with ease, Benedict can use the cane sword far more effectively. Deals slightly more damage with a cane sword, and can parry blows more effectively with his weapon of choice.
Steeled Nerves:In the face of danger, most times Benedict is unflappable. The effects of fear or anger brought on by natural phenomenon are less likely to trigger a response from him. Yet he can still be manipulated by such effects if magical in nature with some resistance.
Versatile Wit:As a trusted adviser and a brilliant strategist, Benedict is well-versed in both the battlefield and the council chamber. Extensive knowledge of military tactics, allow Benedict to navigate combat with ease and get into more advantageous positions on the battlefield.
Weaknesses:
Unbending Conviction: (Utility) As an adviser, usually Benedict never imposes his beliefs upon those he councils yet when he must he will. No amount of words can sway him from his convictions, a matter on which in his youth he butted heads with his stalwart ally Erador Ballentine. Benedict believes that choices must be weighed not by their morals but their outcomes, the greater good may be the most ethical and the actions might be just however to do so would be irrational to a man as he. Actions must be weighed, no matter how bad or good the outcome may be. That is the strength of Benedict 's conviction, utility over morality and liberty.
Out-of-Service:The years have taken their toll on Benedict, retiring as a soldier following the end of the Saltiron War many years later the aches and pains of his past caught up with him in his tenure. Now Benedict lacks the stamina and reflexes of a younger man.
One-note:Benedict is a physical fighter, who fights with a blade rather than bow or magic. Thus his primary role is limited to that of a short-range combatant, with only his practical skills to spice things up rather than things like feats of acrobatics or use of magic.

Inventory:
Cane Sword:A length of hollowed wood, solid oak and lacquered to resist the natural elements. Within conceals a long and thin blade made of steel, the handle is intricately carved to depict the symbol of House Wolffort which is prominent when the weapon is sheathed.
Plainclothes:Simple clothing befitting an adviser; a green doublet and a long black vest, dark linen breeches held by a sewed-in drawstring and a pair of old leather boots.
Eyeglasses:A set of silver-rimmed seeing eye-spectacles with round lenses, Benedict wears them as he is nearsighted.
