So, to get things back on track, who/how many people are considering moving over their PRCU characters to this new RP? I know some people have already mentioned something along those lines, but I figured to ask now so we can all see where everyone is at.

I'll probably be bringing Rory over. He is probably going to look a lot different than in PRCU, but the core of the character will be the same. Just not ready to let go of that big dumb idiot.

I'm at 25% right now than the 0% I was thinking about. Would be a different mood/mindset/etc. but it could be fun adapting them to the new scenario.

Ditto with Ariel, if possible! I've had so much fun playing out their nice but self-serving persona, would love the chance to give them another go. I'm not opposed to creating a brand new character, however.

I'm considering with Lucas, and fairly likely to follow through, but not gonna guarantee anything until I actually submit whatever CS is wanted. lol

I honestly don't know how I would fit Calli into the setting, but part of me doesn't want to lose her.

I mean given her privilege she probably has some interesting dynamics that could played with in a situation where she's essentially imprisoned at a metahuman concentration camp. Different headspace, obviously, but given that her father didn't protect her (/hates her kind, iirc) there's some stuff to conceptualize. I think she could work albeit with some changes through adaption.

I'm honestly the same way with Haleigh. I wasn't certain how to fit her into this story, since she isn't so much the "delinquent" part of things (criminal acts, for instance). But after talking to @Zoldyck, I think I can probably fit her into the setting off the fact that Haleigh had unintentionally collapsed a hospital due to her powers. Perhaps you could do something with how Calli froze the town square, or whatever it was? Maybe the ice froze the road and people got into car crashes or something.

Would these kids even need to do anything dangerous to get placed in this camp? It all reeks of fascism and such.

Yeah, I don't know that there would need to be much of an excuse to get put into this program. Could be anything from parents scared of their children having powers (even if they are harmless) shipping them off to "fix" them, to just even a minor display of powers in a public space causing a scare and getting a full-fledged police response.

I really need to get this OOC into a presentable state and dispel some misconceptions.

@Roman asked me to post this here as well regarding the continuation of P.R.C.U. following my post a few moments ago:

Okay,

It has been an interesting couple of days. But I want to address a few things:

-I was never ready to abandon P.R.C.U., however, yes, I made you guys wait a very long time and did not hold myself accountable to my own rules. As most, if not all of you are aware, I am currently prepping for my first child. I am additionally taking on my responsibilities at work, volunteering weekly and going through my professional registration process. This has left me with less free time than when we started back in February before either my wife or I knew we were expecting for reference, that all said I should have more clearly communicated my time.

-I've given it a lot of thought and I would like to continue with P.R.C.U. If it's dead, it's dead and people have moved and that's fine and that's my fault. However, I'd like to keep this going. Many of you have noted the amount of work put into the front end of the RP, and it's true. This is a passion project designed for the long haul. That said, as the past month has shown and knowing what I'm expecting in the fall, I can't possibly promise or guarantee a post every fourteen days. So if we move forward, it will be without the post deadline in place, it'll be suspended and people will be responsible to post in their own time.

-There will be times when I will be hands-off and have to leave you lot to almost sandbox, this will be especially true in November and December I would imagine. However, I have no idea what to expect when the baby comes, so I'm dealing with a lot of uncertainty. But what I want to communicate is that I'm not abandoning this project, however, it might not have a consistent or regular pace. It will likely be feast and famine and if that doesn't work for you, I completely understand.

-That said, I'm not trying to rush the RP to a conclusion either. I want to have this place out and there might be times where it drags a bit, but we'll cross those bridges when we get there.

-I am in no way trying to stop Roman or Hound from carrying on with their project. I fully believe they should continue with whatever idea gets voted in. If only because it will have a more consistent and guaranteed pace. If you want to remain part of both, we'll all be happy, but we also understand if you only want to dedicate time to one or other.

-I apologize for all of the confusion, but must genuinely express that the idea of simply moving the RP to a slower pace hadn't initially occurred to me. No matter who is left, I will continue on with P.R.C.U. as long as it has interested players.

EDIT: Regarding the draft for Agents of H.E.L.P. in my workshop thread, that was envisioned as 1x1 or small group to finish the Hyperion portion of the story in the event P.R.C.U. was actually done as a whole. My thought process was having one or two partners meant easier communication and management of expectations. Your characters would not have been involved, nor referenced out of respect to your creations.

Well, that's interesting.

Let me know if Ju-V is off the table. Would make sense if it is. As I told Roman privately, I do want to know what the plan is as I have to be a lot more conservative in deciding what projects I involve myself in. My dad was hospitalized after taking a fall in June and he's currently in rehab; compound that with his Stage 1 Dementia diagnosis I will have to balance time between my hobbies, caregiving, and work so I have to be very thoughtful in my energy consumption. If I'm going to commit myself to something I need to know the plan.

In the interests of continued transparency:

I am intending to feel out the shift of appetites and space for concurrent games before committing to a fresh launch of any of the pitches.
@Hound55 and I have done some good work on Ju-V getting it rough-and-ready, and while it would be a shame to shelve that, I'm uncertain what space or appetite there is for two such closely-themed games to run simultaneously. I can't speak for everyone as players, or Hound in a GM capacity, but I would feel odd running a PRCU-stand-in while PRCU remains active.

Of course there are a lot of options, and appetites and interests might sway towards other pitches (and there are a couple that already garnered a decent amount of reception secondary to Ju-V) in the face of PRCU carrying on, and if that is the case then I'd feel a lot more comfortable running a game that feels more distinct to PRCU.

Basically - again - I want to leave it up to the players, as that's what the original goal of this discussion was; finding what you all wanted to write.

Re-reading all of the prompts I can say this before I let others put in their input:

- I'm running a zombie post-apoc/survival horror game so I think all of the post-apoc stuff would feel like a bit of genre interest overlap for me. So none of those.

- So that really leaves Zelda, and I know I'm one of the few people who even have a passing knowledge or interest on those things.

- Unless of course Ju-V still happens. Since I only have one active capeshit RP (titans), this is still in my mind and I spent a lot of time on Lakisha so to just throw her away is not something I want to do.

I'd be fine with either Ju-V or the American Gods concept (the latter being more interesting to me more so since PRCU isn't going anywhere I guess).

I have been silently observing what has been going on. I did state I didn't know which ideas I was gearing toward, but now that I think of it, I like #2 and #6.

For Ju-V, or American Gods, I would have to rework Yuri, but I can do it, it won't be a problem. I literally don't have anything else to do. I do work full time, but I don't let that get in the way of me having free time. I also hang out with my friends all the time, but I still manage to make time for things in my life that bring me happiness.

Just know I am here.
