"I'll be back once I eliminate that devil called poverty from the world!"
- Partitio Yellowil
Personality: Even as a young'n, Partitio wore his heart on the cuff o' his sleeve always thinking with his hands and heart rather than his mind.
As a boy, Partitio knew the worth of hard work and the importance of folk who gave their blood, sweat and tears to make a living in this big wide world; and those people were worth more'n there leaves.
Folk who sacrificed their leaves to help make the world a better place were the bread and butter what made the earth go round if the scholars out east were to be believed.
But those who bit off more than they could chew, folk what stole or took advantage of those with less than themselves an' got fat on the toils of folk what worked hard to make their living?
If they wouldn't see sense he'd crack his knuckles and beat some good old fashion understandin' into em'.
Sides' if folk who would make people suffer don't learn the value of hard work those people didn't deserve the kindness of those who work harder than them. Partitio solved problems with his hands and heart just like he did as a kid, even if it caused his pops to worry.
At the end of the day, he is a hard-working but kind man who is ever on the lookout for a bargain or people who needed work or had work that needed done. And he'd roll up his sleeves to help if they needed a job done. Ready to get his hands dirty, just to do a job and do it well.
Background:
Sixteen years before he set out into the world, Partitio, his father Papp and business partner Roque Brilliante oversaw the land that would become Orerush, rumor of the land being rich in silver abound in the west had brought them to the vast frontier land to make their fortune off the bounty of silver hidden neath the hills of the Wildlands.
Papp issued a challenge for his son to test his business acumen that day they set foot on the plot: find someone who had some silver ore and buy it for them using some money he had given him.
Bag of leaves heavy in his little hands, young Partitio eagerly rushed off down the hill where other folk had set up camp.
Honest folk and some strangers, mostly had nothing but the clothes on their back and a few odds and ends but that little boy had an eye for value that he saw when an irate merchant sold him a dull rock, with a little shine it was the purest silver anyone could find.
Papp praised his son, and old Roque commended the boys eye for value. Earning him praise for having "A discerning merchant's eyes"
Eight years later, Orerush had become very prosperous with silver being its commodity. A 16-year old Partitio had become an accomplished merchant in the town, having sold much silver ore to many merchants from all over the world who traveled from afar to come to the town his father and business partner had worked their hands to the bone to make.
One day, after a meeting with his father, he was alerted by one of the workers that a gang, led by Giff, known to cause trouble for the workers was sighted at the mines again.
After a brief scuffle, Partitio returns home to find Roque leaving town to head east for new business opportunities with steam engine and citing that the Silver Age was soon going away.
He then offered Partitio a chance to join him, but the boy refused, saying his place was with the town and its people. This disappointed Roque, who left town immediately after ultimately understanding that the young man was set to follow his heart of hearts.
Soon after Roque's departure, the former land owner took back the land due to a contract loophole and levied a huge tax on silver, causing most of the residents to live in poverty, with some being jobless and the town and homes falling into disrepair over the years.
A 24-year-old Partitio worked to take care of his father, who was in poor health due to overwork. While getting medicine for his father, he came across the former mine workers who were looking for any type of work. After giving them some food, Giff and his men, who were the new enforcers of the land owner, showed up to collect taxes from the townspeople. After a scuffle between them, they withdrew, with a promise to collect more on the next visit.
Later that night, Partitio met with the former mine workers in the tavern with a proposition to storm Giff's manse to put a stop to his ways once and for all, which they agreed to. After going through the manse and confronting Giff and his men, with the former revealing the truth about the signed contract, they engaged in a battle, which Giff and his men were defeated. When Partitio demanded information on who the original land owner was, Giff reluctantly revealed that it was Roque himself, to Partitio's shock.
Later, after Giff's ousting, Partitio met with his father and the workers, who encouraged him to go on a journey to see the world with the mission to combat poverty.

Specialty: Merchant
Level: 1
Experience: 0/10 EXP
Powers:
- Rest: In a pinch Partitio can take a moments respite to rest and recover from his ails, a skill gained from having little time to rest when there was work to be had. Using this ability recovers a portion of HP and SP, and cures all status ailments. Partitio recovers a moderate amount of HP and about half as much SP, he can use this ability at no cost to his SP.
(Starting Power) Power Level: 1
Strengths:
- Traders Techniques: Partitio is a talented merchant, with all the practical experience to boot. Though he is far more skilled at estimating the value of ores such as silver Partitio can still make a fair assessment of other objects and he can negotiate prices and find bargains pretty easily.
- Rough and Tough: Generally, Partitio is an easygoing feller' but when pushed or crossed he won't hesitate to put up a fight. He can take hits and dish them out, though he prefers to settle things with his fists, Partitio is proficient in the use of polearms and bows. He is strong enough that he can dish out a beating, not to devastating effect but enough to bruise and bloody anyone what decides to reckon with him.
- Generous Benefactor: Whether he's doing business or having a hoot at the local watering hole, people seem drawn to Partitio's outgoing demeanor and fair-mindedness. As a merchant he is well liked for his generosity and willingness to settle for a fair bargain. And most folk generally admire his willingness to get his hands dirty to help folk in need. People are usually more than willing to help him out and maybe even work alongside him doing honest paying work or just helping out in a scuffle.
Weaknesses:
- Easy Mark: If there is one thing about Partitio that might get him in harms way, its his big old heart. Though he is no spring chicken he is quick to trust and eager to jump at the chance to help out someone. It doesn't take much to fool him if someone knows how to pull the wool over his eyes. But he is not stupid just a simple man with a big heart.
- Wild Stallion: When someone treats others like dirt or takes what other people worked hard for away. Well he had a way of dealing with folk who "Got his goat" back in Orerush, he'd beat some sense into them. And if anyone tries to do wrong to him or anyone, his answer is to roll up his darn sleeves and crack his knuckles. The only way he knows how to settle things with people who get him riled is violence.
Spirits:
- N/A
Inventory:
- Makeshift Spear: A bit beaten around the edges, and of shoddy craftsmanship. But a surprisingly reliable weapon in a pinch, its still useable at least. And the point is still somewhat sharp. But a good merchant would think about replacing it at some point.
- Makeshift Bow: Made from cheaper materials, and strung by a somewhat poor wire this bow is of equal shoddy craftsmanship to the spear. Still serviceable but ideally replaceable.
- Papps' Old Hat: Given to him by his dear old pops, this white hat has a yellow band. Its old and a little worn, nothing too special about the hat except the sentimental value it carries.
- Dusty Overcoat: An old faded overcoat Partitio wears over his shoulders, it is a yellowish beige with various pockets.
- Plainclothes: A neat and proper looking set of clothes, including a grey vest, an old pair of overalls, a tidy looking white button up collared shirt and a yellow necktie.
