As for the rest of them... She's got like, what? 4 Passives? And 2 of them overlap. Pretty sure Minami could kick her ass easily at this point. :P

And of course she'd want more skills! She just got flattened by truck-kun, even though she spent all that timme going to the gym, staying fit and keeping herself pretty! OBVIOUSLY that wasn't enough, so she need MOAR to make sure she doesn't get ded this time around! Tsk, foolish fools who don't grasp anything.

I think NoCo was more asking whether you were opting out of the RPs schtick of having the actual reincarnation determined by the GM, namely because you wrote down he'd be reincarnating as a Morai. That whole GM choosing what you reincarnate as thing was entirely optional if memory serves, so it's probably fine if you are opting out of it.

On the topic of cause of death, I don't think that's likely to be an issue (though I'm not NoCo obviously) – we already have a few characters that died in some flavour of workplace accident after all, so as long as you have some idea of how to write said workplace accident for your opening post, I can't see that being a problem.

Also since you didn't seem sure on your sheet, the second appearance header on the character sheet is for what your character looks like after reincarnating not before, since all the characters are being dumped into new bodies upon reincarnation. If you end up changing your mind and going with GM assigned race, just leave it alone until you've had said race assigned, otherwise it's probably fine to just find an image. If you're still not sure how it's meant to be done, maybe take a gander at the CS tab to see how other people have done it.

The "selling point" of this RP was that the race our characters become in Vecta is picked by the GM, not us. But, as Mushroom said, if you want to pick your own race and not be subject to random chance, you can opt for that.

I see, that would be preferable but I'm easy.

So, @Eviledd1984 if you WANT to opt out of the random reincarnation element that’s fine, but I wrote it in that you needed to tell the GM first. The whole selling point of the RP is that it’s mean to be a “challenge” for writers to be given a random character and see what you do with it.

While it’s meant to be fun, the story here is fairly lore heavy and if you’re going to struggle with reading and learning said lore as well as making yourself clear and understood, then I’m not sure this RP may be the right fit for you 🤔.

Whew, it's been way too long, but I've at least started working on a WIP.

While she's not looking for new skills yet, one of Oriel's big goals is to get spells. Obviously she won't be able to use them until she finds her tree so that's priority number 1, but 'Your magic gets stronger in nature' isn't a useful skill without magic lol

Ok, but have you considered learning magic from your tree? Just gotta learn to speak with plants, and voila, you end up getting to exchange knowledge with centuries-old lifeforms.

Mk, I should hopefully be able to prepare another post soonish (maybe even the weekend). I think I'll have her found by kobolds or some such and have her visit a mountainside village - if that's fine, @TheNoCoKid? Think it's more interesting to do a solo adventure first etc. before any potential meetings with her nearest neighbour (your @Xaltwind vamp).

Heh, I do feel a harpy is one of those things she might have become too! I like snakes and nagas, but it sure is a shock for her.

Also, tip for Minami: maybe some 'accidental' uncovering of curtains if need be? :p
