Hey, I know you probably don't expect to hear from me this way. Not when usually I can call or something like that, but I don't know how long this will work out. I don't even really know if you'll get this to begin with. But this way, by snail mail seemed like the safest option.

I need help, and I don't know what to do.

Something is seriously wrong, and I don't really have time to explain it now. I need you here, maybe call some of the others I don't know. Just get here fast. I don't think this is going to end well. Or if I can hold on for much longer.

Hurry!

A lot had happened in the past month. Nothing is ever so simple or quiet at the mansion really, but considering how many people they had with them who were all left stranded from the asteroid blowing up, that resulted in a bit of a scramble to try and help them all get back on their feet and space for them all to stay. The mansion was crowded for a few weeks, before slowly but surely everyone started to leave and head off in their own directions.

Magneto actually stuck around for a little while in order to aid in this, but as soon as the last people were away from the mansion. He too departed. Eventually it was just the normal students at the school along with the team, though some students were already heading out for the summer, so the school wasn't as crowded as it usually was.

Mary tended to head off different places, but she didn't seem to have any issues or anything. She'd head off places randomly, spending sometimes spending a few days away at a time. Usually any questions about where she was heading off to she brushed off and said she sometimes just needed to really get away from the place. Actually she currently wasn't at the mansion, and the last time someone saw her around was about two days ago, so who knew really where she was or what she was doing at this point.

Pietro was sort of constantly hovering around Guin, incredibly worried about her because of about a little over a week ago things weren't going tooo great for her and a slight incident happened, and now he was making sure more or less that she wasn't really left alone all too much. So that was something to say the least. It probably would get a little annoying, but at least for now he was sticking close by.

Things were fairly calm at the moment though, no more issues running around rampant, nothing blowing up or anything going wrong. Nothing. It was actually a fairly calm time, so people could go off and about doing whatever it was that they wanted to do around the mansion or its grounds. It actually wasn't a super bad day or time in general, of course with the lives they live, things could go horribly wrong at any moment, but that's just a given.

As of right now, everything seems to be alright.

Ed Penior

Location: Mansion - Library
Skills:

Ed had sent his grandfather a letter after his conversation with Max. His grandfather's response had been a terse one. Trying to get permission to even visit the estate was looking grim. When Ed had left the family he hadn't given himself as good of a retreat back as he had thought. It would take some time to be back in his grandfather's good enough graces to return. Ed had a theory that his cousin was behind some of the issues. He hadn't thought he had said some of the things that his grandfather claimed he had said. They weren't impossible, but it was unlikely.

It was probably a good thing though. It gave Ed time to decide what to do. How to move forward. He made sure he had a Will drafted. There was a line regarding heirs, so while he had none at the moment if he didn't get a chance to update before...Max met him, the daughter would be taken care of. A few other ducks were put into order.

For now, he was taking advantage of the quiet and was reading in the library. He knew things wouldn't stay quiet. They never did at the school. He didn't know if he was imagining tension or it was just because now with all the space refugees gone it felt like something was bound to happen.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Outside – X-Mansion
Skills: Running

Antoinette finished dressing in her high-waisted leggings, sports-bra, and running shoes. Last week something happened with Guin and Pietro was being hypervigilant, so rather than upset the status quo, Antoinette took her training outside and started running again. It felt good to be outside and pushing her body as far as it would take her. It also gave her time to not think; she could just be.
Antoinette finished her warm-up stretches by the fountain before she took to the path and started off lightly jogging. She eventually got herself up to a brisk run, feeling her heart pound and lungs work to give her more.

Things at the mansion were pretty quiet now after all of the remaining refugees from the Asteroid had gone off to do their own thing, and the students at the school were all getting ready to leave or had left for summer break. Which was pretty nice as Bethany made her way into the kitchen and decided to make herself a sandwich, she was pretty hungry at the moment as she grabbed some turkey, some bread as well as some cheese as well to.

She had noticed that Mary had been coming and going leaving days at a time lately which she thought was a little bit weird but she felt like it wasn't really her place to ask about it. She made her way over and sat down at the table in the kitchen and started to pull out her phone deciding to read up on some news to see if there was anything interesting.

Carolina spent a little bit of time in her bedroom drawing a little bit mostly out of boredom, things had been pretty quiet now luckily with everyone mostly out of the mansion except for the team and the few students who chose to stay a little longer. She finished drawing and put away her pencil and notepad. She decided to go and do a little bit of reading in the school's library, and started to leave her room behind closing the door behind her.

She headed down the flight of stairs and into the foyer, and then turned right towards the library and entered it things were pretty quiet as she looked around and noticed Edus there. She smiled towards him and made her way over towards Ed taking a seat across from him she gave him a slight wave. "Hey Ed how are you doing today?" Carolina asked him.

Peregrine Mayfield

Fit Of The Day

A chunk of time had passed since their mission (if one could call it that) on the Asteroid that blew up. Peregrine didn't want to think on it. She had done very little on the Asteroid and, instead, had caused more havoc due to her powers going out of control. Granted, she couldn't help it, but still it weighed on her.

She also felt she didn't get to know the others well enough yet. They were too busy trying to not be exploded to do some ice breakers. She still felt like a fish out of water. A few people were cool with her, though it still felt like the Mansion was not her home yet.

So Perr took it upon herself to be the Mood Booster (tm) of X-Mansion! She hosted game nights, movie nights, make ice cream sundaes with anything you can find in the kitchen nights, and so on. She invited everyone who wanted to come. If she felt like someone was in a low mood, she tried to find their interests and plan an event for them. Whether or not they attended was on them, but the thought was there.

Now she found herself out of ideas. So she was moving through the halls, "I'm boooooooooored."

Jaclyn "OfAll" Chreyz

Location: X Mansion
Skills: Power Mimicry

In the month that passed since the tragic Asteroid M event, Jaclyn hadn't spent all of it at the Mansion.

On initial return she had, recouping. Helping where she could with those they had been able to evacuate, and being with Holo; gaining perspective. Of course the explanation had to come of why so many were at the Mansion suddenly. She was honest with Holo, never that type that felt they had to be some perfect image to the one who looked up to them. Holo was the perfect image type- where her powers were concerned. Well, perfect to Jaclyn even if Holo's projected imaginings were still literally rough around the edges.

While Jaclyn had been honest, she'd also been direct; not giving graphic details. That was dangerous for someone like Holo. As she spoke, Jaclyn did watch as an imagining of Asteroid M appeared above Holo's head. An imagining of the explosion and- Holo cut it off there. But then, she'd consciously made one of those left behind being safe. More than one- she imagined different realities of safety:
rescued by other, alien races; all of the mutants developing secondary mutations that allowed them to survive in space; the old school X-Men showing up just in time in some new, space-aged Blackbird.

They eased Jaclyn's spirit, made her smile, made her grin, even share a small laugh.

And once she found some peace, it came to her how to engender that in the other survivors.

OfAll made a fire.
A beacon for the passed spirit.

There were many who had, but as they left together she made it so they may come home together; the Mansion serving as a proxy for the one lost in space. She kept this fire- with Holo assisting- for several days; herself watching the smoke rise towards the sky. . .in her mind, towards space. Perhaps a home could be found there again.

Afterward, Jaclyn had returned to her apartment in the city for a little while, and to the Outreach Centre.
Finding a place nearby, she started learning Okichitaw. Her experience in space elucidating the fact that improving her combat and survival skills could only be a good thing, and shouldn't wait. Of course the Danger Room provided that sort of training, but she was looking to supplement it.

She had returned to the Mansion feeling clearer, stronger. . .yet still affected. That would linger in some way for her lifetime, she knew. What was heartening was that she seemed to find her teammates also to some degree better than when she'd left them; all finding their ways to get over that first hurdle.

Or most.
There did seem to be something off with Guin, and Jaclyn hadn't actually seen much of Mary. . .One had nearly broke her brain in the effort to save everyone and the other was the leader. Jaclyn couldn't imagine fully what either of their realities were, and didn't question giving them space.

Presently Jaclyn was walking the halls, intend on a specific location when she heard the wail of a bored individual coming around the corner behind her. She hadn't been around for all of Perry's Mood Booster (tm) exploits, but word had gotten around. One Jaclyn had attended was the sundae one- the best! Holo had been there, too. Presently said little sister was with one of her classmates off premises, having been invited to spend part of the Summer with them.

Jaclyn missed having her around but was also glad Holo had some place else to be.

Turning around, Jaclyn uttered a small laugh: "The party planner's hit a brick wall with themselves?" she joked.

Max had kept busy the past month. To say he was wearing himself a bit thin was an understatement. His guilt for several things had begun eating away at him, causing him to throw himself into helping those they saved off the Asteroid. Acting as a ferryman for those that needed medical care, taking them twixt James and Mansion so they could be cared for by his mutant clinic. His skills from the Mutant Underground also kicked in, allowing him to call any contacts he could to find locations for the mutants to go for the ones who had nowhere else to turn to. Any who wished it, he would portal to a new local, using his gifts to help all those in need.

In the nights he'd often open a rift back to New Orleans. To sing his son to sleep and see his family outside of work. Too many times did he come back exhausted, too many times falling asleep in Ben's arms as they relaxed and spoke of the day. The days he was late to see his son awake were the worst. Having gotten into a small argument at least once about his tardiness. Though Max suspected there was more underlying the tension. Primarily his time at the place both his husband and best friend despised. When Max had caught wind of Perry's Parties, he thought it was an excellent idea. Both wanting to see how she flourished in her new team as well as using it as a way for him to meld in better with the rest. He brought over beignets straight from Cafe Du Monde, paying out for hundreds of them so that everyone could share in the New Orleans pastry.

It's because of this, all his time spent helping, playing father and husband, as well as attempting to keep an eye on the newcomers (as if he wasn't new himself), that he hardly noticed Mary's absence or Guins attitude. To him she seemed no different than anytime they'd encountered each other before, and Max gave Mary a wide berth usually as he still felt a twinge of unease that such an archaic force was locked up alongside the woman who'd seemed eager to fight and kill back in Wanda's World. He could tell Mary was different, that she wasn't her, but that didn't shake his unease.

As Max roamed the halls of the mansion, making his way to find either Avery or Ed, he'd heard Perry bemoaning about her boredom. A smile crept onto his face and before he knew it he'd turned the corner and said ”Hey bored, I'm Max” The smile quickly left his face as he ran over hand through his hair in shock. ”Oh no…the dad jokes have already started…I'm too young to be telling dad jokes” He said as he glanced up and saw Jacklyn was with her, waving meekly at the pair.

Guin Stark

Location: X-Mansion
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Guin had relapsed not too long ago.

For the first time since she'd been a teenager, she had abused drugs.

It was long since out of her system, and in the aftermath of it, her skin had been crawling with shame. She didn't have any intentions of doing it again, of getting that high to shove out her personal issues, the drama with Tony and Miranda. But then again, she hadn't intended on getting high in the first place - she hadn't meant to do that when she had gone into the mansion, when she'd made her way to the medical bay, and grabbed some compounds that she shouldn't have.

So now, even though it was over, the remnants lingered. Pietro had kept a closer eye on her, hovering somewhat anxiously. She wasn't exactly talking to her father right now - she was more angry with him than she was with Miranda, as he had kept this from her - had lied to her for years, had let her believe Maddie had been her mother, put her in the path of that abusive, narcissistic monster.

In an attempt to keep her anger at bay, to keep herself from the temptation or even just the possibility of another relapse, Guin had also gone for a run outside the mansion - and as she saw Annie jogging up the other direction, Guin waved. "Hey, girl - what's up?"

Avery Spellman

Location: X-Mansion
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Avery had been busying themself in the library, looking through various books. For once, they weren't looking at things for D&D. No, they'd found a 100 books to read before you die listicle and had decided to work their way on through it, making notes of what books the mansion had on hand. They'd had most of them - they were all classics, after all - and Avery had finally located the copy of Dracula. They hadn't read it before, but they knew the basics of the plot. It seemed as good a spot as any to start with.

Tome in hand, Avery then moved to leave the library, emerging from its depths and finding Ed and Carolina near the entrance. They waved at them slightly awkwardly - Carolina wasn't a source of awkwardness, but they were still figuring out their relationship with Ed, still trying to determine what sort of connection they wanted to have with their uncle. "Hey," Avery said softly, partially keeping their volume low because it was a library, but mostly because it was their personality to do so.

Mira was sort of just off by herself at the moment. She currently was a bit bored at the moment, and was just playing a video game on her computer, when she heard a voice calling out the same sort of thing she was thinking as they were wandering or something like that. The voice was pretty loud,, and it took a second for her to recognize it as the voice of Perry. It was a bit of a random thing, but after a few moments, she had turned off her game, and gotten up, heading out into the hall to see what was going on.

She eventually came across Perry, and saw that she wasn't the only one who had decided to see what the noise was about or something, because Jaclyn and Max were both there too. "Well if you're bored pretty sure something can be come up with, can't be that hard to come up with something considering we have four people standing here now. I'd suggest a board game or something since we'd have enough players but I kind of got turned off of board games last year," Mira said with a slight smile, looking at the other three.

For the past week or so Lance had been really really worried about Guin, but those initial few days after the whole incident, weren't exactly too great for him either. With her relapsing, he really had flashbacks to back during their teen years, and those specific ones were not great memories. Actually it also then jolted a few memories of seeing a version of himself from that alternate reality, one where his counterpart was fairly dependent on drugs and things like that. Those were not things he wanted to think about, so initially afterward, he'd kind of stayed back and let Pietro help Guin out, but after a few days things more or less got better with that, and he got his thoughts back on track, so he was kind of keeping an eye on her too now when Pietro wasn't around or something.

He found himself walking into the kitchen, and noticed Bethany there now, so he walked over to her. "Hey there, how are you?" he asked her, as he went to the fridge and pulled a soda out and opened the can up. Things seemed to be calmer at the mansion right now. He partially was expecting something horrible to happen in the next five minutes or something. That just tended to be how their lives were, but he was kind of glad for the break.

Ed Penior

Location: Mansion - Library
Skills:

"Hello, Carolina." Ed placed his bookmark in the book. Then he looked up smiling at Carolina. He knew that prior to the first space trip Carolina and he didn't have the warmest relationship, so he was happy to see her greeting him. Ed knew what that meant. That his attempt at keeping distance from the members of the team had failed. He had known that for a while. In a way, it was nice to see that happening blatantly. Then Avery joined them.

"Ah, Avery." Ed's smile widened a bit at seeing his nibling joining them. Ed had always respected Avery and finding out that his run-away aunt was actually their mother had been... an event. It drove home how important change to the ways of the family was. He wasn't ready to return home. He wanted to make sure everything was going to be alright with Mary, and the others. Before he did. At least now he had some reassurance of time.

"It is a pleasure to see both of you." Ed's voice was soft to match the fact that they were technically in a library, even if it was a school library. "Please make yourselves comfortable." He turned his attention to Carolina and decided to open up.

"I am currently a bit upset with my grandfather. I didn't leave home on the best of terms. I had, unfortunately, burned my bridge some as I left. I am trying to rectify it and my grandfather isn't taking it well. However, I have hopes I can bring him around to my way of thinking. Officially, I'm not banned from the family estate, just strongly encouraged to not return. I fear my cousin." He leaned over slightly toward Avery, "That'd be cousin Lucas, he is actually like thrice removed, but other than me one of the oldest surviving males in the family after the attack on Cardiff." He centered himself again. "Anyway Cousin Lucas might have been telling tales to Grandfather to get him to consider naming him as the family heir. Lucas is an ass, so I can't really abide by that. But when I left I was too upset at the world to care. I honestly figured I'd join the X-men for a bit and die in a fight before having to deal with the repercussions of my actions. It was rather childish of me."

The air and the run were proving quite refreshing. Antoinette was about to move into a sprint when she saw Guin coming from the other way. Antoinette smiled at Guin and slowed up a bit.

”Well met! Do you want to run together?” Antoinette asked. She had been reading some older novels based in the 1800s, so her vocabulary was changing slightly. She found certain phrases much more enjoyable than the present American she was now used to.

Bethany continued to eat her sandwich and started to play a little game on her phone when she caught movement in the corner of her eye and turned to look up and saw that it was Lance and smiled towards him. "Hey Lance, i'm doing alright just eating some lunch. How about you?" Bethany asked him. She took another bite out of her sandwich when she could hear Perry's voice in the other room announcing that she was bored.

It was probably the first time that things had been quiet here at the mansion for the last month now and was actually enjoying some of the downtime as well to. "I think Perry is just asking for something to happen now at this point." Bethany said she had attended some of Perry's little get togethers which were pretty fun. "Mind grabbing me a soda while you are there to?" She asked Lance.

Carolina turned to look at Avery and gave them a smile. "Hey Avery how are you?" She asked them as Ed offered her a seat and took grabbed an empty chair and sat down. She didn't really know Ed all that well, she did take sometime off of the team to help with some family problems that Avery's family had with Mira awhile back while the others were out in space and another dimension at the time to. Carolina listened to Ed as he started to open up a little bit to her about some of his family, which didn't sound all that good.

Carolina paused for a moment when he mentioned about Cardiff, she remembered that being on the news and her sister's team was there from what little her sister Cassandra could tell her. "Sounds like you and your family have some complicated history." Carolina said as she looked between him and Avery, she didn't know that the two of them were blood related either which was interesting.

Jaclyn "OfAll" Chreyz

Jaclyn had to smile at Max's joke- and subsequent one. She returned his wave as her smile shifted into a more thoughtful look; about to ask Max how was his family when Mira appeared on the scene.

"Oh, what happened?" Jaclyn came to ask instead, regarding Mira's comment about being turned off of board games.
She hoped the answer wouldn't be something else crazy to learn about.

You get used to life not being "normal" when you're a mutant.
Jaclyn didn't think she'd ever get used to exactly what that tended to mean.

Rather, what it tended to mean when you were a mutant involved with the X-Men. Insanity in space for one. . .and all that on her first mission.

As Jaclyn's mind was wont to do, a part of it kept attention on the conversation in front of her while another part wandered to other thoughts. In this case, to Marygold. Was it a certain something that had both to do with the cosmos and the the X-Men that had her seemingly absent?

Her little foray into boredom had yielded results as people came out of the woodwork. Jaclyn was first. Perry had enjoyed getting to know her. It was hard, admittedly, to be the self-employed "party planner" of the X-Mansion, but at least her attempts at fun were recognized. Max came in as well. "Ha ha, you're old now! That dad joke was so painful we'll need Ed to come heal the wounds." Spiritually, she felt she got better along with Max than most others, but it was hard to see if he felt the same.

Mira also showed up, suggesting a board game, though Mira did not appear well-invested in that idea. "Well I don't want you to do something you won't enjoy. As the Mood Booster (tm) of the Mansion I would be slacking on my duties if I allowed such a faux pas. No no, we can do better. What if we do a bonfire tonight? Or watch some hilariously bad movies on the lawn outside? We can make smores and pop popcorn and all that."

She eyed the others, curious as to what they wanted to do. It was hard to keep up with everyone's varied interests.

Mirembe came out of the wood works as well, answering the call of Perry's boredom. It had appeared that today may be a slow day, time to relax and have fun. Now that all the mutants had been sent on their ways, perhaps the mansion would know a modicum of normalcy? Apparently board games were out of the question, which was a shame as that was exactly what Max was about to suggest. They had a wide collection of them back at home, but he never truly got to play them all, or at the very least never to completion. The Kingston-Gray's were an odd bunch to say the least, each vastly different from the last and yet they had a bond stronger than blood. James was never one to care for board games, but joined all the same when they were brought up. Ben was more of a traditionalist when it came to them, preferring games of strategy like Chess or Go. Casper viewed every board games night as a massive social event, socializing to the extent where the game got forgotten and they all sat around conversing instead of the small plastic pieces scattered about the board.

Max didn't mind any of this of course. That was just how his family was. But the prospect of getting to play one with the intent of finishing the game was enticing until it was all but stripped away. ”That would be nice for later, but how's that going to cure your boredom now? Maybe we can see if the Danger Room doesn't have anyone scheduled right now, try and program it to run a virtual game of Clue in which we solve an actual murder mystery using its facilities and holograms? Could even all dress the part and talk in accents akin to our characters.” Max suggested.

Guin Stark

Location: X-Mansion
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

Guin tilted her head slightly, hearing Annie’s new turn of phrase. But she smiled as she did so. It was odd, but that was so perfectly Annie that it didn’t phase her. She had grown up with occasional interactions with Thor, so hearing people speak out of time wasn’t unusual in itself - just unusual for someone who had grown up in the current century. But it endeared Annie to her all the same.

Guin bowed her head slightly. ”Enchantée.” She resisted the urge to do a sweeping bow or a curtsey - she didn’t want Annie to think she was making fun of her. With most people, she wouldn’t have cared. But with her friends, she did. ”Yeah, that’d be great - how much more did you plan on doing?” she asked, mentally calculating how much she was willing to get herself in for. The runs were good and helpful, but at the same time, they really sucked. Guin didn’t exactly enjoy exercise.

Avery Spellman

Location: X-Mansion
Skills: N/A
~Fit Check~

”I’m good - yourself?” Avery asked Carolina, their cheeks reddening ever so slightly. They’d been through a lot together. They’d always seen Carolina as a friend - but now they were starting to see the potential of something more. But that was scary and meant risking the friendship, so Avery was doing their very best not to act on it. Carolina was too important to them to lose.

The relationship they had with Ed was becoming increasingly important as well, even as Avery felt still a little lost as to how to navigate it. The politics of Ed’s - of their family - was somewhat over their head. They knew the basics of it all, but the names were hard to hold onto. Even the rules and the lore was a bit to take him, even if the broad strokes were clear. So as Ed explained his conflict with his grandfather and Cousin Lucas, Avery tried to categorize them in their mind - to build out that tree, that web.

“So what are you going to do then? If Lucas is telling lies about you…”

Mira looked over at Jaclyn when she asked about what had happened to cause her to not like board games. "Ever seen the movie Jumanji? A few months before everyone took off on their space adventure, Loki decided to show up on Earth again and cause issues, we ended up playing a real life version of the game. So much fun playing a game where anything in the game could kill you, actually that was kind of the last time things were kind of calm around here," she commented with a bit of a shrug, not really saying anything else about that whole situation.

Max and Perry both were giving ideas of different things that they could see about doing instead. She personally didn't have a preference one way or the other, then again, considering Perry had ideas that would probably be better towards late afternoon maybe even into the evening, Max's idea seemed the best for the moment. "Maybe we can get something worked out in the Danger Room, kind of curious how the computer will take wanting to do something fun instead of a chaotic training session. Might be interesting."

Location: Mansion - Kitchen
Skills: N/A

Lance shrugged slightly, before pulling out another can and handing it over to Bethany, "Alright, having been doing much, aside from occasionally attempting to calm a speedster down for the past week, but can only do so much with that," he responded, before he took a seat at the table across from her. Pietro had been going a bit crazy for the past week or so at this point, and it didn't seem like anyone saying anything to him was actually going to fully help. Hence only "attempting" to calm him down, since nothing seemed to work for that.

He laughed slightly when Bethany made the comment about Perry likely wanting something to happen, "Now see, seems like that now for her, but seriously, you kind of learn to appreciate the calm after a while. Enjoy it while it lasts and don't complain about it if you ask me." Last time it had been this calm, it hadn't exactly ended too well for them.

From where they were, both Lance and Bethany would be able to see bright light from outside of the window that quickly disappeared. Bethany would be able to recognize it vaguely from stories more or less, as belonging to the Bifrost when Asgardians typically came down to Earth. So it seemed like the mansion had a visitor or two, however from where they were inside the mansion, they couldn't really tell who it was that had decided to show up.

Outside the Mansion
There was a gust of wind by Annie and Guin, as Pietro suddenly popped up as if from out of nowhere, "Hey there Annie, Guina, how are you two?" he asked the pair of them. Though he asked both of them, the question was more of him wanting to check on how Guin was at the moment more than anything. A moment later, nearby, there was a rush of light that hit the ground not too far away, and once it cleared, they'd recognize the two people who were now standing there.

It was Runa and Klara.

Klara was definitely doing a lot better since the last time they had seen her, back not too long after they had gotten back from the alternate reality and her and Runa had gone back to Asgard. While back on Asgard, she had more or less had been seen by some healers, mainly to ensure there wasn't anything else wrong with her, but luckily the circlet that she had that Runa had made her (that she now was currently wearing) had been able to take a massive hit from whatever had happened to her mind. A lot of her memories were still very much fuzzy and not fully there, but she did now at least vaguely remember who the X-Men were (well, more of mostly, not so much what had happened while she hung around them, but at least the members) so that was something. However she very much did not remember the mansion or anything like that, so she was not too sure where they even were at the moment.

"So... The X-Men group lives here right?" Klara asked her cousin, still somewhat confused and a little unsure.

Ed Penior

Location: Mansion - Library
Skills:

It felt good to talk about the things bothering him. Ed knew what this meant. He had accepted the X-men as his friends. Avery might not have been a given prior to them figuring out their familial relationship. Caroline had always struck Ed as someone who didn't like him. She seemed to be taking that he was unloading his personal problems well. He noticed the small freeze when he mentioned Cardiff.

"I have to prove to my grandfather that what has been said is a lie. If I just showed up at the estate I'd probably get removed. I fear sending letters will get ignored quickly as well. However, most of the younger people have cell phones. If I can get in contact with my mother. Maybe she can speak with him on my behalf. That may be the best avenue for me to return. It will take time though." Ed explained. He hadn't really known what he could do. As he thought of ways to contact his grandfather it had been one of the few options that seemed possible.

Bethany Bell

Mansion, Kitchen
Skills: N/A

Bethany smiled when Lance handed her the can of soda and cracked it open she leaned back slightly as she took a sip from it while listening to Lance. "Yeah honestly i'm enjoying the quietness now and i'll take what I can get. It's kind of nice to not go out and try to save the world for once honestly." She said as she took another sip of her soda, she started to think for a moment she hadn't seen Mary in awhile and was curious if Lance had seen her. "Have you talked to Mary at all lately?" She asked him it was kind of odd to see her coming and going the way she had been lately.

She caught a brief flash of light in the corner of her eye and turned to look at Lance, she remembered the bifrost from Norse Mythology and that usually meant that the Asgardians have arrived. Beth tried to look out the window to see if there was anything that she could see but couldn't see from where she was. "Looks like we have a guest. Lets go see who it is" Bethany said as she got up she took her can of soda with her and started to head outside to where the light had come from.

Carolina Reed

Location: X-Mansion, Library.
Skills: N/A

"I'm doing pretty good than you for asking." Carolina said giving Avery a smile, she did have a little crush on them but she wasn't sure if they did feel the same way though. She noticed the slight blush slightly coming from them and thought about talking to them privately at some point maybe. Carolina turned to listen to Ed she didn't know to much about Ed's family really as he explained some of it, it looked like there was some kind of family drama that has been going on.

"If you need help or anything like that i'll help you." Carolina offered to Edus, he was nice enough and for whatever reason she felt like he was keeping hid distance from her for some reason or another. "I could always just possess him and make him sign some papers or whayever for you to." Carolina said as more of a little bit of a joke more than anything.

Jaclyn "OfAll" Chreyz

Location: X Mansion
Skills: Power Mimicry

Jaclyn had to smile at Perry's enthusiastic consideration of Mira's aversion. Besides the mood boosting, what Perry planned had been a nice way to get to know her a little bit too, and Jaclyn definitely counted it as a positive to be sharing a team with her. As for her present suggestions, Jaclyn wasn't sure of the bonfire. Even though it was an entirely different thing, it made her think of the fire she'd lit for the lost. . .

Hilariously bad movies and "all that" sounded like a good idea, though. She was just wondering what movies might come out of that when Max made his suggestion.

Something in the Danger Room sounded like a plan already, as that was one of the destinations Jaclyn had been considering heading to before she heard Perry's proclamation of boredom-- a virtual Clue sounded a treat!

At this, Jaclyn turned to Mira, however, who began to explain the reason for her being turned off of board games.
On her first sentence, Jaclyn had to smile. She had seen Jumanji and certainly wouldn't want to play that game for real-- in fact, most games sort of "came to life" after that as Holo applied "Jumanji logic" to others when they played, but that had all been in good fun. Besides, her sister's projections held no mass and couldn't harm.

'Oh, so that's what-' Jaclyn was beginning to think with relief, before the rest of Mira's explanation. . .
So it was something else crazy to learn about.

Somehow, though, something like right out of a movie sounded like a tame kind of crazy, relatively speaking.
That movie, anyway.

The last time things were kind of calm around here... Jaclyn wondered the last time since when?

It was good Mira jumped on Max's idea as well. Her spoken curiosity working to shift Jaclyn's attention back to now.
"Well, it would still be training for our minds," she pointed out positively, "and there's a lot to be taken from fun anyway. Besides," she turned her hand over in a sort of shrug, a very slight laugh coming into her words -not at Mira, just the prospect, "it's not as though the computer's sentient. We're the drivers, so it'll take to it just the same."

Simple as that.
