So, if I'm getting this correctly, I need to go to the D&D site and make a character sheet?

@RoadkilBanana
That'd be a good place to start. Though if by 'the D&D site' you mean D&D Beyond, I wouldn't recommend them. I'd suggest using DiceCloud or Mythweavers instead.

@Guardian Angel Haruki
I was just checking my notes and I found that Cascade has Inspiration. Would you like to use it to try and get a better result from your Religion check?

tbh Flicker would gladly give up their personal space if it meant none of their friends had to sell their souls to a devil.

... that is a bizarre sentence that I never thought I'd type but here we are

@RoadkilBanana Do you mind if I ask what you're playing?

My thoughts on this contract:

Clause I: The Client(s) shall at their discretion surrender the specified Exchange Items, as listed in Addendum A, to the Provider. These Exchange Items shall become the property of the Provider, without the right of reclamation.

So they could take these clothes from us at any point in exchange for like 6 million ball bearings, sounds like a bad deal.

Clause IV: The Client(s) acknowledge that some Rewards may have infernal taint, and as such, the Provider cannot be held responsible for any physical, mental, or spiritual consequences resulting from their usage or possession.

So they could be tainted and harm us mentally, spiritually or physically despite him saying they wouldn't. Maybe he is just lying and hoping we don't read?

Clause VI: The Client(s) understand and acknowledge that the Provider reserves the right to alter or amend the nature of the Rewards at its discretion, though any changes shall not diminish the overall value of the exchange.

So if we sign this they can just give us something else, like the before mentioned 6 million ballbearings?

Clause VIII: The Client(s) acknowledge and understand that the exchange outlined in this Agreement carries eternal implications. The Provider reserves the right to claim the Client(s)' souls upon their deaths, transporting them to the Nine Hells for eternal servitude, should the Client(s) have any outstanding debts as described in Clause VII at the time of the termination of this mortal coil.

Once again he lied, as he said they wouldn't make us agree to that just to get some of his stuff.

Oh don't worry Aura will be bringing some of this stuff up. I was just playing my online DnD session so I haven't had a chance to formulate a post yet. :P

But here are my/Aura's thoughts.

Clause I: The Client(s) shall at their discretion surrender the specified Exchange Items, as listed in Addendum A, to the Provider. These Exchange Items shall become the property of the Provider, without the right of reclamation.

-Pretty sure this is refering to the exchange of money for goods. The wording is a little weird but that just seems like the act of trading/selling to me. @rush99999 can correct me if I am wrong there

Clause IV: The Client(s) acknowledge that some Rewards may have infernal taint, and as such, the Provider cannot be held responsible for any physical, mental, or spiritual consequences resulting from their usage or possession.

-This also seemed normal in terms of the...more exotic things on the sale list like supernatural knowledge and secrets of the multiverse, as well as the potential for some of the magical items to be cursed.

Clause VI: The Client(s) understand and acknowledge that the Provider reserves the right to alter or amend the nature of the Rewards at its discretion, though any changes shall not diminish the overall value of the exchange.

-This one here is where warning flags start going off. "The Provider" (unclear if this is the imp itself, the hag, or the hag's higher power so that needs to be clarified) aka the sales person can just decide, Oh, that fancy sword you have is no longer a sword but rather, in the words of Birdboy, 6 million ball bearings. After the exchange of goods. Don't like that is all.

Clause VII: While bound by this Agreement, the Client(s) are forbidden from willingly, knowingly, and directly acting against the interests of the Provider. Any breach of this Clause shall render this Agreement null and void, and all Rewards must be returned to the Provider. If Rewards cannot be returned to the provider for any reason, the Client(s) will instead owe debts to the Provider equal to the value of the Rewards that could not be returned.

-This one is really where Aura starts to have problems. This is essentually saying that whoever, if anyone, signs the contract/purchases goods cannot in any way go against Nanna May and her associates or they forfeight the items purchased. Though it seems that just signing the contract activates this clause in particular.

-This one is an extention of the one before it. Meaning for example, if we purchased food items, and then consumed said food items, we would be unable to return said items if we broke Clause VII so we would then owe whatever the item was worth, in either favors or gold. Then IF we died while still owing the debt they would take our soul. Which, in a round about way is still a soul deal and they were lied to, if not directly.

I just think it's a bad deal. As a player I am all for us doing morally dubious stuff and something exciting like making deals with devil's but we would need to haggle. As Rala she's pissed that Aura is even concidering it XD

Aura is only reading the contract right now, she didn't say she was going to sign anything and as of now it seems like a pretty bad deal in her eyes so she is prolly going to call the imp some names and turn down the offer.

I agree, this is a very very very bad deal!

I've got my thoughts I'd like to share too.

This establishes that the imp is selling goods from Nanna May in exchange for payments from the party. It's also establishing that payments wouldn't be just monetary, but also potentially anything the imp wants from the party. So it could be a favor, or an item we're carrying, anything!

-Pretty sure this is refering to the exchange of money for goods. The wording is a little weird but that just seems like the act of trading/selling to me. @rush99999 can correct me if I am wrong there

I agree that this is the act of trading/selling. However, I would also add that the last sentence is basically saying 'No Refunds'. If the contract is signed, the Addendums would be created and each transaction is going to be included in said Addendums.

This is also the act of trading/selling. But this would be about what the Imp is selling to the party.

This is basically establishing what the Imp is offering to sell as part of this contract.

This is a disclaimer saying that the imp is not responsible for any damage or detrimental effects done to the party by their goods. If the party signs this contract, they would be waiving any ability to hold the imp responsible. Definitely a crimson flag.

This is another disclaimer. It basically means that the party is responsible for following the laws of their realm/plane of existence. If something the imp gives them makes the party break the law inadvertently, then the imp can't be held responsible.

Another crimson flag. Just as @LostDestiny stated, the ability to change the items bought after the fact can be seriously detrimental to the party.

Yeah, I don't think I need to say any more on this. This is an obvious bright red, neon sign, flag. The party may very well go against Nanna May, and this is just insurance for Nanna May to make sure that it either doesn't happen/or our lives get harder for it as a result.

Yeah. Again, as @LostDestiny stated, this is basically a soul deal for any unresolved debts, and shows the Imp lied. With the inclusion of an Addendum A and an Addendum B, the Imp could easily say that the party still owes some sort of outstanding debt it can think of and use it to claim the souls.

This extension of the previous clause is basically saying that if anyone who signed the contract tries to fight against the contract/dispute it, then it would be taken to the Infernal Courts. That means that the laws of the Infernal Planes would be used and it essentially amounts to having the cards stacked against whoever signs the contract.

I would recommend using the site, 5e.tools to help build your character. You will need to pick race, class, and background. As for stats...
@rush99999, can you confirm what you want regarding stats for the character creation?

Cascade is such a sweet dork, it's funny seeing her try to intimidate people with words like 'skedaddle!'

I mean, I'd be intimidated by Cascade. Until Hammerhand came along, she had the highest strength score of the whole party. Plus she has the power of God AND anime on her side.

It's just the use of skedaddle while being intimidating. Does it work? Sure? Is it very intimidating normally? No not really.

Also, everyone (almost) about ready to pounce Aura for reading the contract makes me giggle.
