Appearance: Katherine is the epitome of a career-woman. The chief hiring manager is rarely seen not dressed in one of her many business suits. Her typical work attire consists of a tailored blazer over a silk blouse and pencil skirt. The hallmark of Katherine's wardrobe are her polished black stilettos which she never seems to take off. Many a new employee has heard their doom approaching thanks to the loud clicking her her heels against the tile floors. When she feels like 'dressing down' for a day, Katherine will trade her suit for a black sheath dress, fishnet stockings, and silver jewelry.

Katherine's looks are a different animal altogether. Being trained in illusion magic at a young age, Katherine is quite skilled at altering her appearance as needed. She mainly utilizes this skill for concealing her true age. Despite being almost forty, Katherine is quite conscious about the fact she's getting older. Thanks to her magic, she's able to keep her looks somewhere in her early thirties by hiding wrinkles and gray hairs. When utilizing her divination magic, Katherine's icy blue eyes glaze over in a cobalt shade as she scans the future or glimpses the potential of an employee she's interviewing.

Worldview: Katherine is well know around the office for her no nonsense mentality. Having been trained for this job most of her life, she was taught to expect nothing less than the best from herself and her co-workers. While this may sometimes rub people the wrong way, if they get past Katherine's tough exterior, they tend to see she genuinely cares about the people she works with. She just has to bee an asshole if it means people survive missions, mortals are safe, and Magicorp gets results.

Magic: Katherine is well versed in Divination and Illusion magic. Using her foresight, Katherine is able to see the potential of applicants when they come to interview at Magicorp. This made her a natural fit for the hiring department. After training for years to hone her illusion skill, Katherine is quite adept at hiding her identity when she's sent on assignment to go monster hunting.

Resume (Background): The daughter of a powerful wizard and a witch, the first thing people noticed about Katherine were her ethereal ice-blue eyes. It wasn't long after she started talking that she'd begin asking questions about events that hadn't happened yet. When the nature of her powers was discovered, Katherine's father - a senior board member at Magicorp - seized upon the opportunity to hone his daughter's abilities. Katherine would train for hours on end with her father. Despite being a brutal taskmaster, Katherine adored her father and flourished under his tutelage. When she finally came of age and was able to apply to Magicorp, her application was accepted almost instantly.

Because of the nature of her powers, Katherine was first placed in the "Finance" department. While deployed on missions, her skill at seeing the future kept more than one monster from breaking loose, and her illusions could provide disguises for her comrades, or save a life at the last moment by obscuring them from view. During a particularly brutal mission to the Black Forest in Germany, one of Katherine's closest friends Amalia, was killed. The loss of her friend and co-worker shook Katherine and only made the witch retreat further into her obsession with perfection. Eventually, this drive to improve the company landed her a spot in the hiring department where she quickly rose to run it within a few years. Now, she oversees all incoming recruits and dedicates herself to only selecting the 'best of the best' to ensure Magicorp remains strong and no one else has to die.

Appearance: Andrew seems like an imposing individual at first. He stands at 6'2 with a muscular, well-built frame. His piercing silver eyes have made more than one employee shiver when he walks the office halls. Andrew typically sports his charcoal gray suit throughout the workday, but whenever he's working late (which is always), or an a mission (frequently), he lets himself go a little bit. When it's time to focus on the task at hand, Andrew sheds his blazer, loosens his tie, and rolls up his sleeves. He actually admits that he finds the whole concept of an office dress code rather suffocating, but he recognizes that in order for Magicorp to be its best, that all starts with personal presentation. As such, he adheres to the rules to set an example for his employees.

When not at work, Andrew prefers to be out in nature. He'll lose the suit in order to walk barefoot through a forest in jeans and a tank top at the first opportunity. When he doesn't have that, Andrew will settle for tending the rooftop garden at the office. At most hours of the day, he'll also have a coffee cup in his hand. Caffeine is the one thing that keeps his brain functioning after a long night without much sleep.

Lastly, if one were to look underneath his shirt, they would see a variety of scars across his front and back. They vary in size from miniscule to the large crescent-shaped slash mark arcing across his back. When pressed, he just responds he used to be careless on missions back in his youth. Many get the impression this is not the case...

Worldview (Personality): Despite being the one in charge of - arguably - the largest organization of wizards and witches on the planet, Andrew has a surprisingly laid back approach to his job. Rather than micromanage, he trusts the admins underneath him are going to do their best to keep the company afloat. While some view this as a lazy mentality, Andrew is actually quite smart and driven.

Whether it's a pen enchanted to write whatever he is thinking, a self-tying tie, or his most important one, the compass on his wrist. He applies this by ensuring office enchantments are maintained, improved or undone as need be. His enchantments in the field are primarily for maintenance and clean-up of unsuspecting witnesses.

Born to well respected evoker father and elementalist mother, Alaric always knew of magic but wasn't aware of the importance of it until he was 11 years old. He had often in his pre-magic years, done things that were left unexplained, like made his toys move by themselves. His father took him under his wing at this age and began to teach him. Over the years that followed, Alaric joined his parents on many expeditions and missions involving use of his new-found magic prowess. He wasn't gifted in evoking like his father and after a short stint at learning elemental control in which he managed to set fire to the living room carpet, meant he never truly experienced the danger that his parents did.

Shortly after Alaric had turned eighteen, he would go on his last expedition with his parents. It all started when he dreamt a week prior of a red robed figure warning him of disaster, he ignored this almost in it's entirety but during one late night where he couldn't sleep, he drew a compass on his wrist, closed his eyes, and focussed on it bringing direction to him and his family. When he opened his eyes again, he found the drawing had become an intricately detailed tattoo, one where when he touched it, pointed true-north.

On the first day of the final trip, the family was departing for an island off of the United Kingdom mainland. During their short boat trip, the weather seemed to be getting worse before violently growing into a hurricane, one seemingly solely located onto their boat. The boat eventually bowed to the storm, being destroyed in the process. Alaric managed to find his way to shore, using his compass, but never did find his parents.

The years following Alaric travelled for many years using his ill-gotten inheritance, until it was time to seek work. He flew back to his family home and wandered through halls in which he hadn't seen with adult eyes. Everything seemed wrong and destitute. When he was looking through his parents things, he found many letters from a company called 'MagiCorp,' it seemed they wanted his parents to join them for a very long time. A company solely for wizards seemed like a good lead for a career start. After several attempts of getting through and getting hired, he put his family home under a unique enchantment. One that would keep it safe from any trying to find it.

Appearance:
Albrecht stands at a relatively shorter height of 5'7'', though one wouldn't know it by the gravity of his presence. The man always seems to attract attention wherever he goes, for better or for worse. He dresses in a way that is best described as elegantly striking - detractors might call it a tad excessive, however. With fire-red hair, an icy gaze and a confident smile, without saying a word, the man immediately impresses upon strangers a strong first impression. He also appears to be unable to hide his emotions, making him a wonderful person to invite to card games after hours. And Albrecht loves being invited to anything resembling a party - all he needs is a drink in hand.

On the clock, he wears expensive suits and shirts, paired with whatever jewelry is fashionable at the time. Off the clock, however, he tends to don a more casual set of clothes, with a wide variety of styles, though decidedly more low-key than his suits.

Worldview (Personality):
He believes in the power of might, and he will use it to protect what is his, and all those he holds close. He also seems to be focused on living in the present moment, and can be rather prone to making rash decisions. Despite being prone to flashes of anger or irritation, he is also equally quick to make a teasing quip here and there, as well as one of the first to try and speak to people in a group.

Albrecht grew up in an orphanage, where he was the runt for the longest time. He was often bullied and beaten into submission, causing missed meals, injuries, and a rather lonely, terrible time. It wasn't as if he'd been too cowardly to fight either - he was simply too weak at the time, and at the time, he feared he would always be weak.

Until the day his magic came and everything changed.

Of course, it had to be fire. His entire being boiled with rage, sorrow and frustration whenever he lost those fights in the yard, in the canteen, in the classroom, the sound of laughter ringing in his ears. So on his 12th miserable year of existence, when he threw a punch that didn't just hit but also burnt his foe, he couldn't control himself. The other boy was sent to the hospital, his face utterly disfigured. Ever since that day, Albrecht was reborn. All he needed was one foothold, one win, and once he got his foot on the door, he pushed as hard as he could.

Thankfully, nobody believed the bully he burned, when he tried to tell others about the fire, and when Albrecht tried to show it off, he simply did not have enough control over his magic yet to summon it at will. Eventually, he was found by one of those wizard orders who sought to find the ones who might have fallen through the cracks of society - they also made sure that those who knew Albrecht soon forgot who he was, with the help of magic.

Now, Albrecht was by no means a brilliant mind, but he was hungry, to the point of desperation. What meager opportunity for his sort seemed to be doing dirty work, and he had no choice but to roll up his sleeves and get dirty. He pushed himself, gravitating towards security work, disciplining his body and securing some semblance of control over his life. He also started to get a taste for the finer things in life, though he realized that getting caught stealing was probably going to be more trouble than it was worth. To pay for his classes and his inflating wants, he worked terrible jobs guarding some questionable employers, often dealing with people from all walks of life. It gave him a great education in the different ways people could be monsters, and soon enough, he'd learned how to fight nice, too, with a gritted smile.

One day, he'd heard through a regular employer about a particularly nasty fey attack on a group of mundane humans being averted by some formidable group of people. When pressed, the man revealed that they were affiliated with a strange company called Magicorp. The employer also pointedly told Albrecht that he wasn't good enough to get in.

The day after that, Albrecht immediately spent his last money on a one way ticket to apply to a job he wasn't even sure he would get. Thankfully, he did - but not without many persistent attempts, many of which involved setting off fire alarms.

Appearance: Rejecting boring concepts such as professionalism, unless facing the most serious of demands, Cam avoids anything approaching business casual or professional attire. Her shoulder length hair is a jagged mess of midnight, providing no indication of how early or late she has woken up. Her skin is pale and more than one of her coworkers has suggested that Cam should really spend some more time outside.

Dressed in clothes that seem to be summoned from a punk show in the 1980s, Cam wears misplaced and poorly sized ties, combat boots, chokers, and anything that will ruin the most recent unwelcome attempt by her superiors to tame her. Is a leather jacket appropriate for the office? Of course it is, provided you scowl enough. Are knuckle dusters an acceptable fashion accessory when conducting the annual mandatory employee training seminar? Certainly, fear helps keep people awake.

Worldview (Personality): Brash, loud, cynical and full of all the righteous anger of a caffeinated Riot Grrl, Cam is not what anyone expects when they find themselves meeting with HR at Magicorp. Kept in line by her patron, first, and her management second, Cam reluctantly works to keep Magicorp a safe, happy and productive place for her colleagues. Beneath a layer of annoyance and exasperation, Cam has buried a sympathy and concern for mundane mortals, finding it impossible to not root for the underdog in a world full of magic and monsters.

Brilliant streaks of professional accomplishment are scattered between pages of troubling behavior. Cam prefers action. Cam believes that violence is more often than not the answer, especially when faced with supernatural threats to the mundane world.

It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.

Magic: A warlock, warlockess? has made a pact, a deal not with a devil or demon, but with a celestial being that resides on a plane of good and ever-lasting bliss. The radiant magic that she channel is bright, warm, and all too fuzzy. Cam can heal, she can harm, and she can dish out some soul-crushing performance reviews.

Resume (Background):

Born in the Big Apple, Cam grew up in the Bronx. Her parents were strictly middle class. Middling wizards whose day job was running a family pharmacy they had inherited from her maternal grandfather. An early rebel, Cam spent her early years engaging in petty acts of vandalism and actions that screamed of a deep seated need for attention, any attention, emotional valence be damned.

Middle school was Catholic School. Too much prayer. Too strict nuns. And too many rules. High school was a roller-coaster ride. Fresh freedom. A drivers license. Punk shows. Goth music. Metal. Her first guitar. And getting into more trouble.

College was Columbia. Columbia University. A hand written zine was the majority of her application, scribbled across her transcript. She spent more time partying than she did studying. She went to every show. She experimented. She found a boyfriend. She found a girlfriend. She found an arcane punk rock collective. She found a mentor. A hippy wizard selling peace, love, and rock-n-roll. Graduating with a degree in archeology despite her best efforts, followed Jean to Chicago, learning as she went.

Convinced that she knew better. That she had learned enough. Cam struck out on her own. Jean wished her well and handed her a battered guitar labeled "This Machine Kills Monsters." Uncertain of what that meant, Cam did her best to find out. Seeking out danger as only an adrenaline junky can. Relishing every close call and every time she could could feel her life was on the line.

Following a long series of bad choices, Cam found herself in a jam, bleeding, dying actually, surrounded but a horde of slathering cultists and the hellion commanding them. Convinced she had played her last show, Cam prepared to bring the building down on her and everyone in it. She wasn't going to go quietly, she'd decided years before.

That's when the light hit her. Bright light. Light brighter than the brightest stage lights. Light that burned like the sun. When the light faded, Cam was alone. Almost. Gone were the cultists. Gone was the monster. Instead there was a woman. A woman in a black cocktail dress, with feathery wings. Stella she called herself. She said she was a seraphim or something like it. Cam didn't care. She had bigger things on her mind.

Stella offered her a deal. And Cam accepted. Even though she suspected that she shouldn't. Nothing was free...nothing was ever free. However, Cam had little interest in dying, so a deal at an existential gunpoint was good enough.

Cam had thought herself ready to pay the price. Unfortunately, her patron wasn't evil, corrupt, or interested in self-indulgent hedonism. It was worse, so much worse. Stella was good. Entirely good and completely good. So good it hurt. She was an entity created only to do good, willed into existence with incorruptible purity and only righteous anger. Cam despaired, realizing the chains that now bound her.

There were rules, so many rules.

Unwilling and largely unable to disappoint her new mistress, Cam buckled up and sought out proper employment. Magicorp came calling. No doubt sensing her desperation. One questionnaire later. One excruciatingly painful online test involving spreadsheets later. And three interviews later, Cam found herself suffering through a month of on-boarding at Magicorp. Her one solace was that she had been assigned to the much feared and maligned Human Resources department.

Two years have passed since Cam started working at Magicorp and despite recurring disciplinary problems, she has somehow managed to not only keep her job, but be promoted to a senior human resources representative position. Convinced that doom must be close at hand, Cam merely coasts along, relying on her remarkable talent for field work and ability to navigate high stress situations. Her chief goal is to avoid the unwelcome moments when she is asked to step in to perform the mundane tasks demanded of a HR rep.

Appearance: Lydia is... not quite normal. Without the help of illusions, she has features commonly associated with demons in human culture, with maroon horns and a pointy tail, pointed ears, and claw-like nails. More commonly, those features are downplayed enough through magic to help her fit in among mundanes. She favours luxurious and expensive fabrics and accessories, and seems to actively seek out where the line for the dress code is drawn by altering her appearance. Her ethnicity is hard to pin down - her features are almost a blend of what is considered attractive rather than distinct markers. She's average height, and just slim enough to fill out a cocktail dress.

Worldview (Personality): Lydia appears to approach society with a playfully challenging ideal. She doesn't always seem to consider the seriousness of a situation or task, and that flippant behaviour and high elevation of her own interests can put her at odds with people who want swift, professional and uncomplicated results. She loves deal making, bets, and false promises through legalese. Her approach to people is more like puzzles to be solved rather than living beings deserving of empathy. As such, her view of others is very arbitrary - she does not necessarily find reasons to help or harm in the same ways others would. Rather, she is interested in novelty, self-actualisation, and squeezing success out of whatever she can get away with.

Position: Marketing and Sales; Lydia is an eternal salesperson, looking for deals and profit where others are focused on clocking out.

Magic: Lydia is skilled in illusions, but has little to no book smarts on the topic and no interest in learning how to develop her talents beyond minor glamours, sound distortions, and blurry imaging. Her real talent is in elemental magic. Her heritage has given her a leg up in channeling some manner of fey fascimile of the infernal, and she can use that deplorable energy to leech lifeforce, spray beams of foul and terrifying energy, or otherwise corrupt and warp the bodies of the unfortunate.

Resume (Background): There are ancient tales of children being swapped and taken, of diabolical rituals to bring a destroyer to the earth, of dark desperate deals made for the future depravity of a firstborn in exchange for salvation or power. Lucy is the result of none of those. Rather she is the result of a notorious fey being, who strongly resembles demonic folklore, getting totally wiped out in a bar and getting absolutely overrun with affection after being sweet-talked by a lonely lady taking a break from her struggles in the fast world of finance.

Initially intending to ditch and never recall such a disgrace on his self-respect, curiosity and something akin to obsession drew him back to the woman, who he found had recently given birth to an adorable abomination. He came clean to his love, and inducted her into the world behind the veil, resolving to stay with his mortal lover and his new spawn.

Lydia grew quickly, and was unstoppable in her advance to take advantage of the world. Her dad couldn't be prouder when she fleeced her classmates of their foiled trading cards for mere trash basics, when she argued her way out of a red card in soccer, or turned an alley cockroach into ashes out of pure instinct (and terror).

But such a peace would not last. Though Lydia's own cheerful ambition was unbeatable, her parents worried she would fit in with neither the regular world - where her odd campaigns for success and appearance would her at risk for attention, nor the truly fantastical - where her lack of talent for truly amazing feats of magical skill and mortal shell would pose a real setback. Instead, they began to seek out a safe place for Lydia to be herself.

To skin the world of all it's got.

Full Name: Camille "Cam" Fairfax

Appearance: Rejecting boring concepts such as professionalism, unless facing the most serious of demands, Cam avoids anything approaching business casual or professional attire. Average in height, she stands out due to her fashion choices and lazy mannerisms. Her shoulder length hair is a jagged mess of silver, providing no indication of how early or late Cam has woken up. Her skin is pale and more than one of her coworkers has suggested that Cam should really spend some more time outside. Her eyes, often heavy with boredom during office hours, are a faded gunmetal grey. Perhaps as a joke, Cam insists that she once looked much different, and the as part of her bargain with Stella, she had to accept modest changes to her appearance, leaving her looking like some distant cousin to the enigmatic celestial.

Dressed in clothes that seem to be summoned from a punk show in the 1980s, Cam wears misplaced and poorly sized ties, combat boots, chokers, and anything that will ruin the most recent unwelcome attempt by her superiors to tame her. Is a leather jacket appropriate for the office? Of course it is, provided you scowl enough. Are knuckle dusters an acceptable fashion accessory when conducting the annual mandatory employee training seminar? Certainly, fear helps keep people awake.

Like a magpie, Cam is fond of shiny things. Cam cycles through an endlessly growing collection of earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets/bangles, arm rings/armlets, pins, brooches, and piercings. Never one for gold, most of Cam's jewelry is wrought out of silver.

Worldview (Personality): Brash, loud, cynical and full of all the righteous anger of a caffeinated Riot Grrl, Cam is not what anyone expects when they find themselves meeting with HR at Magicorp. Kept in line by her patron, first, and her management second, Cam reluctantly works to keep Magicorp a safe, happy and productive place for her colleagues. Beneath a layer of annoyance and exasperation, Cam has buried a sympathy and concern for mundane mortals, finding it impossible to not root for the underdog in a world full of magic and monsters.

Brilliant streaks of professional accomplishment are scattered between pages of troubling behavior. Cam prefers action. Cam believes that violence is more often than not the answer, especially when faced with supernatural threats to the mundane world.

Magic: A warlock, warlockess? has made a pact, a deal not with a devil or demon, but with a celestial being that resides on a plane of good and ever-lasting bliss. The radiant magic that she channel is bright, warm, and all too fuzzy. Cam can heal, she can harm, and she can dish out some soul-crushing performance reviews.

Born in the Big Apple, Cam grew up in the Bronx. Her parents were strictly middle class. Middling wizards whose day job was running a family pharmacy they had inherited from her maternal grandfather. An early rebel, Cam spent her early years engaging in petty acts of vandalism and actions that screamed of a deep seated need for attention, any attention, emotional valence be damned.

Middle school was Catholic School. Too much prayer. Too strict nuns. And too many rules. High school was a roller-coaster ride. Fresh freedom. A drivers license. Punk shows. Goth music. Metal. Her first guitar. And getting into more trouble.

College was Columbia. Columbia University. A hand written zine was the majority of her application, scribbled across her transcript. She spent more time partying than she did studying. She went to every show. She experimented. She found a boyfriend. She found a girlfriend. She found an arcane punk rock collective. She found a mentor. A hippy wizard selling peace, love, and rock-n-roll. Graduating with a degree in archeology despite her best efforts, followed Jean to Chicago, learning as she went.

Convinced that she knew better. That she had learned enough. Cam struck out on her own. Jean wished her well and handed her a battered guitar labeled "This Machine Kills Monsters." Uncertain of what that meant, Cam did her best to find out. Seeking out danger as only an adrenaline junky can. Relishing every close call and every time she could could feel her life was on the line.

Following a long series of bad choices, Cam found herself in a jam, bleeding, dying actually, surrounded but a horde of slathering cultists and the hellion commanding them. Convinced she had played her last show, Cam prepared to bring the building down on her and everyone in it. She wasn't going to go quietly, she'd decided years before.

That's when the light hit her. Bright light. Light brighter than the brightest stage lights. Light that burned like the sun. When the light faded, Cam was alone. Almost. Gone were the cultists. Gone was the monster. Instead there was a woman. A woman in a black cocktail dress, with feathery wings. Stella she called herself. She said she was a seraphim or something like it. Cam didn't care. She had bigger things on her mind.

Stella offered her a deal. And Cam accepted. Even though she suspected that she shouldn't. Nothing was free...nothing was ever free. However, Cam had little interest in dying, so a deal at an existential gunpoint was good enough.

Cam had thought herself ready to pay the price. Unfortunately, her patron wasn't evil, corrupt, or interested in self-indulgent hedonism. It was worse, so much worse. Stella was good. Entirely good and completely good. So good it hurt. She was an entity created only to do good, willed into existence with incorruptible purity and only righteous anger. Cam despaired, realizing the chains that now bound her.

There were rules, so many rules.

Unwilling and largely unable to disappoint her new mistress, Cam buckled up and sought out proper employment. Magicorp came calling. No doubt sensing her desperation. One questionnaire later. One excruciatingly painful online test involving spreadsheets later. And three interviews later, Cam found herself suffering through a month of on-boarding at Magicorp. Her one solace was that she had been assigned to the much feared and maligned Human Resources department.

Two years have passed since Cam started working at Magicorp and despite recurring disciplinary problems, she has somehow managed to not only keep her job, but be promoted to a senior human resources representative position. Convinced that doom must be close at hand, Cam merely coasts along, relying on her remarkable talent for field work and ability to navigate high stress situations. Her chief goal is to avoid the unwelcome moments when she is asked to step in to perform the mundane tasks demanded of a HR rep.

Appearance: Stella is a beautiful woman, probably the most beautiful woman Cam has ever seen. As if that wasn't enough, Stella seems to shine brightly with a soft light that touches the skin of any observer with a gentle warmth. Two great feathery wings extend from her shoulders, although Stella often keeps them politely tucked out of the way, hidden beneath some bespoke layer of fabric. Her long hair is a pure white, and her eyes are cast in a similarly pale hue of azure. More often than not, Stella appears adorned in elegant clothes dyed in various shades of blue.

Worldview (Personality): So far as Cam has managed to discover, Stella is a being of pure good, concerned only with doing good, and inspiring others to do good.

Position: Stella has offered Cam no exact details about her position, but given the wide berth that others give Stella, Cam assumes that Stella is fairly important.

Magic: Cam has no real idea what sort of magic Stella wields, other than observing that she is powerful, very powerful.
