Biography:
Unsatisfied with work in the Muggle or the Mage world Taenar traveled for a few years after graduating from Hogwarts. She had an open invitation to return at any time and fill an open position of her choice, but she wanted to see the world, to explore, to understand. to find answers to questions no one could answer.

She’d traveled to Wales, New Zealand, The Hebrides Islands, Hungary, Romania, China and several other remote and obscure locations. Spending several years studying the dragons, and copying book about them. And even writing one herself about them, a concordance of sorts. Pealing back legend and fancy and writing truth. Descriptive biology, musculature, capabilities, sizes, and abilities.

In her possession was a Scale from each breed of Dragon, collected when they'd molted from yearling to juvenile. Never forced, but collected fresh as it fell away.

Favorite Hogwarts Memory:
Sitting in the Library late at night or early in the morning, reading olde books and smelling the hint of age upo their pages and bindings. Fantasizing about who might have touched, or read, the books and pages she was touching and reading.

Had any of the great ones done this, touched this books? Dumbledore, Snape, Rowena or Helena Ravenclaw, Minerva, Cho, Hermoine? Probably not, the chances that any of them read the types of books she did was improbable, except Snape.

But she had made it a point to touch each and every chair and table, Candelabra and painting in the library, just in the hope of getting any residual magical help from any of the great ones. Even members of her own house said she was weird for spending as much time as she did in the library.

Biography: A single child from a full-blood family, he always seemed a bit different from other wizarding children. He would stare off into space muttering strange things, stand up and abandon toys precisely when others wanted to play with them, dislike certain places seemingly without reason only for unpleasant things to happen there later, answer questions that hadn't been asked yet. Soon enough it became clear that he was a clairvoyant: someone gifted with a cryptic and dreamlike future sight. His time at Hogwarts was a mixed bag for this reason. He was seen as awkward, offbeat, distracted, and though his few friends learned to accept his peculiarities, most others found his comments unnerving. His friends tried to enroll him in the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as a seeker for obvious reasons, but he never was good at flying, and he crashed his broom at the first opportunity, so that went nowhere. And due to his difficulties focusing in class, when it came to schoolwork, he often had bad grades as well. Until Divination classes came around, that is, which is where he found his true calling. After his studies at Hogwarts, Alvis became a detective at the Ministry of Magic, where he quickly became well-known for using his clairvoyance in investigations. His ideas had admittedly mixed results, but they were always interesting at least, his office being a sprawl of ever-changing connections, scribbles and zany theories. One of his most famous cases -one that made the Daily Prophet, even- was The Case of the Stubborn House Elf. In it, he investigated a house that neighbours said became haunted after its owner's death, but its house elf Mopsy denied this wholeheartedly and refused to leave. As it turned out, Mopsy was right: the owner had faked his death and was hiding in a secret room to avoid the loan sharks from Gringott's Bank. Mopsy, grateful for the owner's safe return, has since started to show up unannounced and unexpected -even to Hawes- to provide 'assistance', to many of his colleagues' amusement. Now, Hawes has accepted the rather comfy teaching position of Divination at Hogwarts, but the tea leaves suggest his story is only just beginning...

Favorite Hogwarts Memory: That one time when Alvis had a dream in which he failed one of his most dreaded exams - History of Magic. Upon waking from this obviously prophetic dream, he quickly wrote down the exam questions and set out to the library to solve them. He then secretly sold these cheat sheets to some of his less-studious classmates for butterbeer and pasties. Then the day of the exam came, and he realized the dream was only partially true: the questions were all different… But hey, he did fail the exam, at least!

Biography: The Cifaretto family has a long history of participating in herbology, participating in many nature preservation efforts, participating in protests, and occasionally being an eco-terrorist to protect nature. This got his ancestors into much trouble with various muggle and wizard authorities. Although they had recently been out of trouble, a few family members still participated in unlawful protests. There is a rumour that the Cifaretto family is somehow connected to some criminal organization in Italy.

Antonio’s parents kept their noses clean. His father was a gardener, and his mother was a teacher of Herbology at Hogwarts. As a boy, Antonio was introduced to herbology and gardening, having quite a talent for carrying and identifying various flora. When he was the right age, he was brought to Hogwarts to further his education. He enjoyed Herbology and Defence Against The Dark Arts classes as a student. He also participated in many pranks involving placing mandrakes in students’ and professors' dorms.

After his time at Hogwarts, he became the school's groundskeeper, working for a few years before finally being given the job of Herbology professor after the last one retired. On occasion, Antonio will partake in various pranks by himself or with other students.

Favourite Hogwarts Memory: One of Antonio’s pranks included him and another student filling the Syltherian bathroom with Venomous Tentacula. Of course, everyone knew who did it, and Antonio and the other students were forced to move the tentacula out of the bathroom. And clean the washroom for the next couple of months.

Biography: Reggie was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His mother was a Muggle, originally from Melbourne. His father was a British wizard employed by the Department of International Magical Cooperation; Mr. Cross was working abroad at the time, serving as a British ambassador to the Australian magical government. The revelation that her lover was a Wizard was shocking, but not a downer to the future Mrs. Cross, the pair's relationship flourished to the point of marriage, after which Reggie was born. However, when his father was called back to Britain on a promotion offer, Reggie's mother was unable to uproot herself, and the pair maintained a long-distance relationship, offset by Reggie's father being able to simply Apparate to Sydney.

The situation wasn't ideal, but the pair made it work.

Reggie spent his earliest years with his mother in Australia, affording his father the time to acclimate to his new position. He would travel to London to see his father over the holidays and a bit during the summer.

When it became clear that Reginald was gifted with magic like his father, his life changed. He moved to live with his father full time, both parents agreeing it was best for him to be closer to the magical side of the family. As he neared his 11th birthday, the owl arrived, inviting him to attend his father's old school of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. He arrived his first night and was sorted into Hufflepuff house ("That's your mother's genes at work for sure," his father, a true Gryffindor exclaimed happily in a letter). The eleven-year-old Reginald made waves immediately, particularly as a lively, friendly, and dedicated individual who was typically the life of any party.

Academically, he held his own in all of his core subjects. Charms was where he tended to excel in this regard.

Yet it was in his first flying lesson that it became apparent that he would find himself most at home upon a broomstick. Flying came naturally to him, and as a first year, he was eyed by his house’s Quidditch captain and invited to try out for the team in his second year. He would take up the offer, and was practically a shoe-in onto a relatively young squad as a Chaser. Reggie’s performance on the Quidditch pitch became his most talked-of quality around the school, especially amongst his fellow Hufflepuffs. During his tenure he notched several house and school records. He retains his status as having the record for most points scored as a rookie player; for a time, he also held a record for most career points scored in the school, though he’s since been surpassed in that, though he remains the record-holder within his former house.

In his 7th year he was made Captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch squad. During this stretch he became something of an innovator. Taking influence from Muggle sports such as Football (Soccer), Gridiron Football, and Rugby, he drilled his squad into a defensive powerhouse that effectively limited their rival teams in points allowed. He further experimented by implementing a 2nd string team, who, during practice, were tasked with simulating the play style of Hufflepuff’s next opponent in scrimmage games to better prepare his squad for the coming games.

Among his notable matches as a captain was a game against Gryffindor in which his game plan involved him functioning similarly to a gridiron quarterback, pulling off impressive passes that set up his fellow chasers to score goals, a match against Slytherin in which his aggressive flying was likened by Muggle-born and Half-Blood students as similar to a Rugby player. The cream of the crop, however, was a shutout victory for the Quidditch cup in that year.

Following his time at Hogwarts, Reggie tried out for a slew of professional teams in the UK, but came up short. In part, it seemed that the teams were hesitant to incorporate his style of play into their own game plans, opting to take players that better meshed with their own styles. This prompted Reggie to return to his home in Australia, where he began a successful Quidditch career in Sydney. His career would flourish, seeing him earn a spot on the Australian National Team, and an appearance in the Quidditch World Cup.

It wouldn’t be long before a unique opportunity presented itself: a position at his alma mater, Hogwarts. Reggie wasted no time in applying for the opening as Flying Instructor, and chief Quidditch Referee. He heard back just as quickly, notified that his application had been accepted. He swiftly packed his belongings and relocated once more, returning to Britain, and taking up residence at his former school to begin the next chapter of his career.

Favorite Hogwarts Memory: The Three Peat. During Reggie's 5th-7th years, he and his fellow Hufflepuff Quidditch players cemented themselves in their house's lore with a dominant streak on the pitch. The team notched an impressive three year run of Quidditch Cup victories, with their last one in Reggie's time being a shutout victory.
