@Xaltwind, I have not played any Fire Emblem game, except for a few missions of that game with Roy on the emulator, but I am still interested.
And will this game have its own Discord?
Edit: Ah, it won't. That's fine; I'll think it over, although I really should not impose.
Edit 2: Best not to join, all things considered; apologies.
While I won't make or use a discord for this RP, there's nothing stopping any players from setting one up if they want one. Just thought I'd say that in case it changes or impacts your decision. Otherwise, best of luck wherever you may go.

I... This is a blessing! Thanks!
I'll wait and see if the players set up a Discord, then, before joining or not joining.
I am interested in joining, if you don't mind a fresh face to the website! And if you're not all full up!
Can never be full up in the Inerest Check. After all, even if people poke their heads in, you never know who'll actually stick around until the OOC goes up. So, welcome. :) ----- Speaking of the OOC, I'm trying to aim for getting it up this weekend. That said, I can't exactly promise that I'll make it to then, but I shall try nontheless.
good to know, but I prolly can't be on this weekend so I'll join on monday.
No rush. As I said, I can't even guarantee that it'll be done by this weekend. But it should be ready next week for sure if I don't manage that. ---- ANywho, since some of you already seem to have ideas and concepts for what character you wannna play, I went ahead and put together a prototype character sheet template.
Since you all won't have access to info about the nations and cultures of Aoes though, I suggest treating this as something mostly to kill a bit of time with, or to make a proof of concept with while you wait. Keep in mind that things in this CS template may be tweaked or removed in the actual, finished CS we'll use for the OOC.

Name: Alastrina, Daughter of Stephen of Sherinford Age: 18 Gender: Female Nationality: Galadorian
Social Status: Commoner or Noble (Depending on the overall balance of the party) Occupation: Soldier Class: Cavalier
Broad shouldered, mid-sized young woman with shoulder length hair held back by a simple braid so it stays out of her eyes though her hair often doesn't behave itself as it ought to. He's within a healthy medium in terms of torso size and with some musculature on the legs and arms. Her face is heart shaped. Her skin is a pale white that's prone to getting sunburned.
Typically, she wears a simple iron breastplate over a white tunic paired with iron greaves over brown breeches paired with brown leather boots.
Height: 5' 10" Eye Color: Grey; depending on the lighting, they can appear blue or green Hair Color: Auburn Red with golden highlights
Personality: Alastrina is a daydreamer, prone to fantasies and imaginings which can sometimes distract her from what's going on around her and liable to let her curiosity get the better of her. But she's also earnestly eager and determined to meet the goals she's set herself, not one to back down from a challenge if there's any possible way she could best it. She tries to be like her father and the heroes of the stories she likes; noble, chivalrous, aiding those that need aid, and standing against those that need standing up against. She is still young though and this will be her trial by fire. It's up to her then to see how well she keeps to her commitment when everything goes wrong.
Her horse is her closest companion. She does seek to be friendly but she often comes off as overly perky or is disliked for trying to be a strict rule follower.
Likes: Heroic Stories, Songs, Singing, The Night Sky, Horses, Horseback Riding, Learning New Things, Tea (if that's a thing on the current continent. If hot chocolate is a thing in the new world, she may come to like it as well)
Dislikes: Not Knowing What to Do in a Situation/Feeling Helpless, Disappointing Those Around Her/Disappointing Herself, Inter-Personal Conflict (so, any in-fighting with those she considers allies), Tragedy, Off-Key Singing/Instrument Playing, Being Startled Awake, Turnips
Background: Alastrina grew up as the youngest daughter of a legend, or at least a local one. Stephan of Sherinford (either knighted due to his service or just a retired solider now serving his liege lord as an undersheriff) had served Galador faithfully in the past wars and though he rarely told tales himself, those that served under him would tell tales of him and let his deeds be known. Alastrina loved hearing those stories and dreamed of being someone like him. And though the nations were currently at peace, she hoped that some adventure would come about where she could be the hero of adventures of her own. She readily applied herself to training in the sword and lance as well as training in mounted combat upon her beloved horse, a white stallion with a black mane and tail named Winsley.
When she came of age, she joined the ranks of the Galador army and sought to be one of the rare Pegasus Knights who would be sure to be within the heat of battle. Yet when she went through the trials, she was found lacking and so her application was declined. Alastrina was heart-broken for a time, but she pushed forward as a Cavalier and found that it was nice to be able to have Winsley at her side. And then came the call for volunteers to join the All-Aoes Exploration Fleet and represent Galador. She was among the first to sign up. Now she and Winsley are on their way to prove her worth and become a hero worthy of tales.
Weapon Proficiency: Sword & Lance
Skills & Abilities: Canto: Allows the user to move after an attack if they have any movement left
Provoke: Increases the likelihood of enemies targeting its user
(The second one could be replaced with something like rescue/pair up if that would be something you'd prefer me to have as a skill instead of just something that she can just do given that so far, no one else is a mounted unit.)
way to jump the gun. I'll have to respond in kind:
Name: Hiko Age: 17 Gender: Male Nationality: Tinacean
Social Status: Commoner Occupation: Mercenary Class:Mercenary
Height: 5'8" Eye Color: Red Hair Color: White Clothing: Red scarf, white shirt, brown pants. Really, he's a simple man.
Personality: Hiko is laid-back, yet restless, with a wild streak. He's a man who values his freedom above all else, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to maintain it. He kills with ease, lies with skill, and cheats without remorse—all part of his personal code of living on his own terms. But, beneath the surface, he has a deep-rooted sense of justice, particularly against forces of darkness. Even though he enjoys fighting for fun or stealing for the thrill, he despises unnecessary evil and stands against those who bring harm to the innocent.
While he often keeps to himself, avoiding unnecessary interactions, he's surprisingly kind to those who earn his trust, though few ever get that close. Hiko's not driven by the typical heroics or moral codes; instead, he’s a pragmatic, free-spirited rogue who just wants to live life by his own rules.
Likes: Freedom, combat, dark humor, winning on his own terms. Dislikes: Authority figures, unnecessary cruelty, magic-users (he finds them unpredictable).
Background: Hiko grew up in Tinace, where he was raised with minimal supervision and no strict codes to follow. From a young age, he learned how to manipulate situations to his advantage, using every tool at his disposal, whether that meant stealing or bending the truth. He quickly became known as an effective, though somewhat morally ambiguous, mercenary.
What sets Hiko apart is his odd sense of justice. While he's perfectly fine lying, cheating, and killing for the right price, he has a particular hatred for darkness—whether it's literal darkness, evil forces, or those who embrace it.
Hiko joined the All-Aoes Exploration Fleet simply because he was bored of Tinace. The new land offers a chance for new adventures, new battles, and a whole new frontier to conquer in his own way.
Weapon Proficiency: Sword Skills & Abilities: Vantage: It allows the user to initiate an attack first when an enemy engaging them in battle would have normally attacked first. Wrath: It activates when the user's HP is at a very low magnitude, resulting in their critical rate being drastically increased.
(If I understand correctly, I'm allowed to use Vantage over Armsthrift.)
@Cyrania Your character so far looks like alovely little lady, who'd fit in nicely in the setting without any issues. :)
And yes, tea does most certainly exist. Hot cocoa... Not so much, sadly.
As for the skills, you're perfectly fine picking Provoke. I'm actually contemplating letting people choose any one, single skill from any game if their chosen class has had multiple different ones. That way, if people prefer the Bishops from say, FE8, they could still pick their class-skill, as opposed to having to choose the skill from the latest game.
@LimeTime966 Hiko seems fine, although I'm curious as to why he hates magic users. But I guess that can be revealed in-story just as well as having it written out in the background.
As for his skills, yes. As it currently is, he'd have to have Vantage. But as I said above, I'm considering you guys being free to pick one of whichever game's class skill you like instead, rather than forcing you to pick the "newest" one.
Social Status: Commoner Occupation: Apothecary Class:Monk
Piper has a relatively slender build, standing at a short 5’4”. Never trying to stand out, Piper purposely tries to wear clothes and robes that dwarf her figure even more. Already incredibly small, the monk believes it helps her on the battlefield, making her a smaller target that (she claims) is harder to hit.
Her muddy brown hair is always cut shorter, a straight bob falling no longer than her chin, in chunky pieces with straight edge bangs covering her forehead. Cutting it herself, she doesn't care if it looks good to others or not, she likes it. Her Olive green eyes hold an emotion of kindness to strangers, the spark of mischief rarely ever gracing the presence of anyone she isn't comfortable with.
Piper’s skin is beige, with light brown freckles dotting up her arms and shoulders. The sun brings them out, now more than ever, with freckles slowly beginning to adorn her face as well.
Height: 5’4” Eye Color: Olive green Hair Color: Muddy brown
Personality: Piper is a head in the clouds dreamer. Always looking to the sky, she dreams of a day when peace will truly reign over all of Aeos. She’s quick to help any of those that may need it. Piper likes anything sweet, and hates anything overly spicy. Piper is passionate about anything nature; plants, animals, anything at all, she absolutely adores. That being said, though, it often-times makes talking to people rather difficult.
Background: It was always just Piper, her mother, and her father.
From a young age, Piper’s father always instilled in her the virtue of kindness. “Help anyone that needs help, no matter the problem,” he said, putting those words into actions as often as he could. Her mother being an apothecary, it was easy to help out the sick and the weak, but harder to help those who were hungry. Still, Piper did what she could, taking any extra money she made to buy bread, offering food to the homeless. It was enough to keep her away from home, at least an extra few hours. Away from the fighting.
Her mother hated how her father drank. A veteran from times long past, he had seen things he would never recount to anyone else. He had done things, things he would never tell another soul. The booze helped take the edge off, helped him relax and forget everything that he wanted to forget. It wasn’t a surprise to Piper, then, that he decided to up and leave in the middle of the night. Still haunted by the things he had seen and done, and just tired of the constant screaming from the woman he had promised to love until death did they part, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
A note was left on Piper’s bedside table, telling her that he loved her. The words spoke of kindness once again, but all Piper felt was the bitter sorrow stabbing at her heart. She loved her father, but would she ever see him again?
That was ten years ago.
Money was harder to come by when her father left, Piper and her mother struggled a while to get by. The kindness that Piper used to show strangers fell to the wayside, a shyness overtaking the girl. Devoting herself to her studies, Piper said nothing when her mother finally moved on and remarried. She said nothing as their lives finally started to improve, and they had money again, the struggle no longer overtaking their lives. She said nothing still, when the calling came to travel to new worlds, to explore what had not been explored before.
The decision was short and impulsive, but Piper signed up without her mother’s knowledge. A hope had sprung up in her chest, that maybe, just maybe, she would be able to see her father again. The words from the letter penned by his hand danced in her head now more than ever. “Be kind, and be true to yourself. One day we will meet again.”
I do have a few questions that came up while making this. Are we using tomes or staves? I didn't really get into fire emblem engage, so I'm basing all of my class knowledge on three houses. If we use tomes, are we going to make it so durability is based off of the certain map/combat situation that we're on? I wasn't really sure if you wanted to include magic+ skills, or skills that give us a stat advantage. Did you want us to learn those later if they are allowed to be included, or can we start with them?
I think that's all for right now! I will change anything necessary based on your reply!
