Howdy! I'd like to join.: Ascendant Collective.: Cybernetic humans. The extent of augmentation varies, with most civilians only having a few implants. Specialists in assorted fields, such as the military and in industry, are difficult to discern from machines. As time goes by, these lightly augmented humans are dwindling rapidly as the population becomes increasingly robotic.: Cybernetic collectivism. While each individual still maintains autonomy, they are at all times made conscious of their present objectives designated by their superiors, carrying them out with a strong sense of purpose.: As a new power in the galaxy with only so much territory in their hands, territory carved out of backwater systems of the Earth Alliance at that, their military is comparatively quite small. While some Earth Alliance weapons systems are still in use, they are in the process of rearming their nation with indigenous designs. The rapid industrialization that went hand in hand with the cyberization of the rest of their society has given them appreciable production capabilities, but it is still not enough to fully ensure safety from any would be enemy of the revolution. While they have a few advantages due to their cybernetics and extensive usage of neural-interfacing, these qualitative advantages are insignificant compared to the overwhelming quantitative advantage any potential adversary would enjoy. Many Ascendant vehicles are guided by cybernetic brains, with the most committed and skilled soldiers being transferred to these “war forms”. Ships and ground vehicles such as tanks, walkers and so forth are essentially just larger scale cyborgs, and fanatically devoted ones at that, willing to abandon any semblance of humanity to safeguard their people and homeworlds. Not all opt for such extreme augmentation however, and there are still more conventional elements of their military force organized much like their pure human counterparts.: In the outer reaches of the Earth Alliance there were those who sought to exploit the chaos during the Draconian War in order to advance their ideologies. Each failure, especially in the case of the destruction of Earth itself, gave more ammunition for the demagogues. The Ascendant Collective is one such movement in this period that happened to succeed. Their movement advanced the idea that in order to survive and evolve, mankind had to abandon their flesh and adopt mechanical forms, embracing technology to make them superhuman. This ideology readily took hold among the handful of systems that make up the Ascendant Collective today, in part due to the race to fight particularly destructive alien diseases which had spread through their corner of the galaxy. As the body count rose, the desperation to find a solution also increased. The Ascendant Movement achieved power almost entirely without bloodshed. Very few resisted augmentation and those that did tended not to last particularly long, the new government not even bothering to oppress them as their deaths to the diseases were certain. When their path towards independence was complete, they severed communications with the rest of Alliance and remained isolated, only recently emerging once more as a greatly changed, rebuilt nation. While they are not hostile to the Earth Alliance and other pure humans outside of their relatively small domain, they regard these outsiders with apprehension and paranoia. They have overcome their plague, but it remains uncertain if they can hold onto their newly carved out nation. Much deliberation presently occurs on the issue of their relatives in the Earth Alliance, with no consensus yet being reached on how to approach them. While they may consider themselves superior to humans and simultaneously fear what the Earth Alliance’s reaction to their transformation will be, they still view them with respect. As their brothers and sisters, any talk of conflict with them is treated with great reluctance. Ideally they wish to convert more to their cause not through conquest, but through demonstrating the virtues of their way of life. Some cynically ponder if this is just because they know they could not hope to compete with the Earth Alliance militarily, however. Cautious thinking is presently favored.Aliens are met with similar suspicion, but are also being considered for the purpose of forming alliances and other treaties beneficial to the Collective. On the flip side of things, they are also perceived as the greater threat.

Accepted! Very nice idea, and bonus points for one of the best explanations for separation from the Earth Alliance!

Bit of with you Hach. The Equestrians do not share there technology or mining techniques like that. The secrets of Equestrian tech aren't in open public schools like that. Also a Hach wouldn't be able to become a citizen which is required for acess to Equestrian schools. They have a closed border policy wherein only races of magical ability are allowed to become citizens or accepted races, which none of the Hach races are.

My bad, probably should have left that part out..
Edit: If you look at the new application, I did state "selective borrowing" kinda wish I was informed of that earlier before I made myself look like an idiot..
Double Edit: Guess I should have explained that with more detail..

How did Earth get destroyed? I can't find any post explaining how it turned from a rocky, watery sphere to a rock cluster.

The Draconians attacked it and managed to overcome EA defences, and for good measure destroyed it, I believe. They tried to do the same to Triarius during the war, but the Collective managed to beat them off. after much bloody fighting. I don't think Equiis was attacked, though

I could not believe what popped out just after my failed -because of Internet blackout- attempt to post an application.
So, new reboot, and at a new forum. I can't say I like it, mostly because I have a problem at keeping track of storyline changes.
Anyways...

Original Player App
Nation name: Seriphona da Los (Soul of the Universe)
Species: Korvichai, slender, human-like species made mostly of metallic substances.
Update from the end of the Star Empires:
The Korvivhai successfully allied with both the Hach and the Earth Alliance (if that's alright with keyguyperson and hacher5). This allowed their nation (and the others') to drastically develop on both philosophical and military terms, the latter especially during the War.
Ioannorent (the President from Star Empires Reboot) died from a double node injury that resulted in a heart dysfunction syndrome. His place was taken by Dr. Sedorania (ex-Elite Scientist, Ioannorent's childhood friend), as was the will of the deceased.
Both Direonteis and serohimean (Leaders of the first two intergalactic reconnaisance fleets) became Elite Diplomats because of their contributions to the creation of the alliances, followed by their cadets. However, during the last diplomatic discussion with the Draconians (the one that was immediately followed by the assault that destroyed the Earth for good), Herebusia (Serohimean's cadet, who loved her but never realised it until then) was killed by armor-penetrating gunfire that missed her Commander. Afterwards, he left his diplomatic career and joined the Seriphona Lasiphonio (Universal Army), with the goal of avenging her loss until his terminal breath.

I will try to pickup as much as possible from my previous app, for new players to watch. Until then, you can follow my nation's timeline at the original thread, starting from here. All I care about now is to make sure that I will be accepted as soon as possible.

This is why I was trying to get the galaxy technology, I made m civ way too weak and as such I'm underpowered .-. Thought I could change that when I took 500 planets but then everyone now has dozens of thousands... I'm screwed, but I'm pretty sure I could argue over the diffuculty of conquering the Haches...

You know, even if the Haches didn't participate in the Drac War they could have picked up some salvage from Drac ships. A scrap of metal from one of there ships alone would benefit the Haches greatly, and I would see them as getting the remnants of ships reasonable.

Also if the Equestrians are allied with the Hach its likely they already established trade routes.
Also conquering the Haches was more of a joke.

I know. I take things seriously a lot.. I think your point brings a good idea to me, I'll see what I can create. Though I might make this later so it doesn't seem so quick to happen.

I doubt the Haches would get the fully on weapons and systems, but they could make some pretty good darn improvements. Probably even a Intergalactic drive.

I honestly believe the Haches are fine weapon wise, though shielding needs drastic work. Finding an intergalactic drive would have to be hard to find, if you think the ship would have to be near intact.

Weapon wise they really aren't going to match the Big Three(Triarians, Equestrians, Ea) and the smaller ones. A few Drac improvements would work. The Equestrians did give them shielding, although it wasn't that effective so it could take some work. And with a Intergalatic drive I meant slicing on a few Drac engines into normal drives to make them better.

Alright, I'm not one to say anything since I don't know your weaponry besides triarian plasmery and you spells so, yeah. Also, I kinda meant that. It could help if they found a part of the engine, but honestly, I find it hard to believe that I found even a good chunk of one unless I found an abandoned ship battle of em.

Darkwolf, I'm waiting for your reply. I have no major action to take right now so I'm waiting for you to do something or notice the pirates or something.
