![]() _______________________________________________ Identity Full Name - Fuji Eikichi Eikichi, meaning luck, and Fuji, meaning wisteria Nicknames - Ei-kun, Fuji-kun Age - 16 Gender - Male Year - Second Year Personality Silver Tongue Eikichi has always been good with his words - after all, it's the first defense of any middle child. Between squabbling with his older sister Rei and vying for attention with his baby brother Takeru, Eikichi has gotten very, very good at picking out the right words for every situation. Whether it's persuading a teacher to let him off easy when he's forgotten his homework or giving a few well-placed compliments to an unsuspecting victim classmate, Eikichi knows how to turn the tide in his favor. Because of this, he's become popular with both girls and boys. Meddling Eikichi also has a sneaky side. He notices a lot of little things other people wouldn't, and he uses that power to mess with people. If something catches his interest, it's likely he'll stick his nose into it, and he especially likes meddling in people's love lives. Of course, he knows when to stop... but he can't help making people flustered, although it's usually intended to give him or her a good push. Fundamentally, Eikichi still sees himself as a side character, and he figures that stirring up the feelings of the main cast is his duty and right. Reserved Because of certain events in his past and the general middle-child-syndrome he was born with, Eikichi tends to keep his cards close to his chest. He doesn't say a lot about his personal life to those who won't appreciate it, and it takes him a while to truly trust someone. His outer crowd may be fangirls and cool guys, but his true friend circle is made up of kind and honest people that he doesn't have to put up as much of a front with. To some extent, his flirty, popular school persona is nothing more than a faรงade to hide the boy who was called plain, and is afraid he still is. Soft Heart Under all that quick wit lies a maiden's heart. While Eikichi's tongue may claim the hearts of many a schoolgirl, he's never been in a serious relationship, preferring to stay as the unreachable prince-type while he waits for the perfect girl to walk into his life. Deep down, he's a softie and a true romantic who would definitely get flustered if the girl he liked flirted with him. Because of his soft heart, he often helps people against his better judgement and is attracted to the honest, easy to read type. Character Relationships Osanai Suzuka "Suzu-chan? Why, we were as thick as thieves back then... I remember her coming over to my house for dinner almost every night. And then one day, she moved away and left me behind! It kinda, well it really, ticked me off. We were really close and then she just disappears! But I've moved on now. If I ever see her again... Suzu-chan's going to have one heck of a surprise!" Haruto Morioka "Me and Haru? Well, yeah, I guess he's alright. Somehow, he's the type I just can't leave alone. His heart is really pure, so you get the sense of needing to protect him... Not that, I, uh, worry about him." Isshiki Mikako "Whew~ Mikako-san has a lot on her plate, doesn't she? She should stop saying yes to everything and let us help! Not that she doesn't do a good job, of course. She just needs someone to help her relax every once and a while." Arashiyama Junko "To be honest, I'm really bad with headstrong people, but... Arashiyama is really admirable. Not everybody can be themselves like she does. She probably hates my guts though, haha!" Other Information Has an older sister, Rei (19), who is in her first year of college and lives at home, and a little brother, Takeru (12), who manages to be both very annoying and irresistibly adorable. Eikichi is close to his siblings, but like any true family, they fight a lot and tend to be very rowdy. Rei is the only who who can get under his skin without trying, and he would never admit how much he loves having her around. As Takeru has grown older, Eikichi has gotten to share some of his interests with his baby brother, which makes him think that being the older brother might not be so bad. His dialogue color is #6567be. He is in the Kyudo (archery) club and was in the student council in his first year (but quit because it just wasn't for him). He has a mole right below his right eye. Physical Description Eikichi was called "plain" a lot back in middle school, so he's made an effort to stand out in high school. Since he started archery as a first-year, he's built some back and shoulder muscle, along with some impressive calluses on his hands. He hit a considerable growth spurt at 15, so he's almost reached 5'11. His hair, which is black and shiny, reaches a little past his ears and is styled fashionably to show off a bit of forehead. When he's at home, he keeps his bangs down, as his hair is somewhat thick and therefore difficult to style each morning. He thinks that his bangs make him look kind of nerdy, but he's too afraid to take scissors to it. His fashion sense is very modern, and he keeps up with the trends and generally spends a lot of time grooming himself. At school, he spices up his uniform by wearing earrings and belt chains, giving him a bit of a "bad boy" look. Around town, he wears a lot of black skinny jeans, turtlenecks, bomber jackets, and combat boots. He's a fan of the big coat + tight pants look. Despite all his efforts, though, Eikichi still has a plain face. His most noticeable feature are his slanted eyes, which give him the impression of a fox. Appearance is everything, and Eikichi knows this most of all - if he didn't put in all this effort, he's convinced nobody would give him a second glance. Personal Story Eikichi had an average homelife, but growing up as the middle child does tend to make one feel forgotten. He spent much of his childhood fighting for attention with his oh-so cool older sister and his adorable-yet-annoying baby brother, and he remembers vividly the feeling of being too young to do anything cool but too old to be babied (a feeling that has not left him in high school). Thankfully, Eikichi was not alone - the girl-next-door, Suzuka, was his constant playmate and trusted confidante, and from the ages of 6 to 12, the two of them basically grew up together. Eikichi remembers many dinners spent with Suzuka as just another member of his crazy family, although he never quite understood why Suzuka never had dinner with her own family. To him, Suzuka was the one person who always paid attention to him, the person he could always be a hero for. They were inseparable, or so he thought. Since Suzuka was the awkward type, Eikichi quickly became her voice, protecting her from bullies and speaking up for her in front of crowds. It was then that Eikichi realized the true power of words - they weren't just a way to win arguments with his sister, but they could help Suzuka. They could even make her smile! It was the spark that started the fire - Eikichi was going to get good at speaking. He had to, if Suzuka wasn't. Unfortunately, words couldn't stop Suzuka from leaving him. The day Suzuka told him she was moving away was the day Eikichi's tiny heart shattered. The move impacted Eikichi greatly - he was very attached to Suzaka, and a very sensitive child - and in the years that followed, he convinced himself that there was something wrong with him. If he had been truly important to her - not just "plain old Eikichi" - then Suzuka wouldn't have moved away. Of course, the move had nothing to do with Suzuka, but Eikichi resolved to be the sort of person people wouldn't leave behind. Changing his image took a lot of work. Having a quick wit and a smooth tongue doesn't guarantee you a spot at the cool kid's table. There was something else even more important: Looks. Determined to move past the days of being called plain by his elementary school classmates, Eikichi became interested in fashion, and eventually got to a point where he was satisfied with his new appearance. Now in his second year of high school, he has a good reputation and the attention of everyone except the one person he wants. |
Urge... to mess up Eikichi's hair... rising...
Only thing I'd add is that Suzuka probably held off on telling him until almost the eve of the move because she was worried how he'd react, but she did probably explain why she was moving out close to the last moment rather than just ghosting him. Likely would have tried to keep in touch for a while but didn't have a phone of her own so it was kinda difficult, and eventually they fell out of touch. Still probably feels like she left him behind, regardless, though.

Good to know. I mean, he was 12, so imagine that filtered through dramatic preteen hormones. He was seriously sad (although he's going to deny this HARD when they reunite).
Ohhh, this is an interesting concept, and that's coming from someone who usually dislikes school settings, ha. Makes things feel much more real when the characters have various kinds of relationships with other PCs and not just a bunch of NPCs running around in the bg of a 1x1!
Unsure if you've room for more, and unsure whether I can commit, depending on how fast paced this'll be, but tentatively interested if you're still looking! I am trying to get back to the site/writing after a hectic life atm. I usually veer towards playing jocks/delinquents/jerks with a heart of--- well, if not gold, then like... uh, bronze? Someone who can be fixed develop as things progress.
Could also play a girl, if one's needed though!
![]() _______________________________________________ Identity Full Name - Osanai Suzuka Written As - ้ทๅ ๆถผๅค, "Long time" + "Innermost" and "Cool" + "Summer." Nicknames - Known as "Suzu" or "Suzu-chan" to those who knew her when she was younger. Age - 16 Gender - Female Year - Second-Year Personality Lone Wolf The easiest thing to learn about Suzuka is that it's hard to learn anything about her. Self-reliant to a fault, she'll almost never ask for help or share her worries on any subject, preferring to just quietly work through whatever it is that's troubling her. Abysmal Conversationalist More than just her troubles, though, Suzuka doesn't seem well-acquainted even with how to talk about enjoyable things. She seldom mentions what she likes, and her blunt lack of comment on things that fall outside of that sphere of interest means her opinion goes entirely without saying. It's not even that she's going out of her way to shun or push others away, mind you -- that would imply an active effort on her part to say or do anything social. With brows set in a nigh-perpetual frown and a voice that seldom rises above a calm, matter of fact tone, her natural demeanor tends to be about as welcoming as talking to a wall of ice. Spirited Competitor It may come as a surprise then to those who haven't known her long that despite her apparent stoic disinterest in just about everything, Suzuka has a competitive streak that is second to none. It doesn't matter whether you put her on a soccer field, a basketball court, a sprinting track, or even a bread-eating race at a school sports festival; she'll bring her A-game each and every time. This intensity even translates to her studies. There's a ranking board put up after every test, is there not? That means there are winners and losers, and so, despite not being particularly academically gifted, she'll do everything in her power to climb her way toward the top. A victory is a clear sign she did something correctly, while even a sufficiently close defeat is at least a sign she didn't mess up too badly. Even so, she's still a bit of a sore loser, and will stubbornly try to improve any time she's defeated at... well, anything, and come back stronger for it. Above all else, she particularly loves team games, though. That way, she can feel like she's contributing to the group with her strengths, without actually having to face her weaknesses by talking and ruining the mood. Hopelessly Insecure The root of these various idiosyncrasies becomes clear, then, as a deep-seated fear of being a burden or a nuisance to those around her. This creates a self-perpetuating cycle, wherein she doesn't know what to say and so says nothing, and in the process only proves to herself that it's impossible for her to meaningfully engage with others to their satisfaction. It's not just talking that bothers her, either. If she were to try cleaning up her appearance, she fears it would be seen as nothing but narcissism or trying too hard. If she were to ask for help, she fears it would be a tacit acknowledgement that she can't deal with things that, in her eyes, anyone else could. If she were to honestly express her likes and dislikes, it would just make her seem self-centered. And, when it comes to the person she likes, well... Better she say nothing and nothing changes, than she speak her mind and lose what she's only just managed to reclaim after all these years. It's fine. She's satisfied. She's not selfish enough to hope for more. But if, by some chance... She has a tremendous sweet tooth but tries to hide it, fearing she'll be seen as childish or as a glutton. She's a big fan of shounen battle manga and tokusatsu shows, as she likes how exciting they are and generally finds their plots easy to understand. Her type is someone taller than her who smiles a lot. It's probably fine even if he looks kind of like a villain when he does. Her dialogue hexcode is #2596be. | Physical Description Osanai Suzuka could best be described as a beautiful mess. With an athletic build slanted rather prominently towards her legs, she stands at an even 170 centimeters, almost a head taller than most girls in her class, and almost eye-to-eye with several of the boys. Her skin stubbornly retains a certain pallid hue that defies the influence of the sunlight she has spent a good fraction of her life under, creating a striking contrast with her ink-black hair... which is where the problems start, really. Suzuka's "hairstyle," if it could warrant such a charitable description, vacillates between shoulder and neck length depending on the season, her mood, and whether or not she remembered to book an appointment to get it cut this month. It's perennially tangled, combed or, more commonly, haphazardly bunched up and tied back only enough to keep it out of her face while she's playing, and to give it enough of a vague semblance of order to pass uniform inspections and not get lectured by her teachers for her sloppy appearance. Though, some may find that charming in its own way. While she's unlikely to be mistaken for a boy anymore thanks to her figure, the rest of her appearance does have a certain unusually boyish appeal. Even the messiest bangs in the world could do little to hide her bright and piercing gaze, however. After all, her resting expression is and has always been somewhat infamous for having exactly three apparent settings: bored, serious, and angry. As such, her face contributes greatly to both her poor reputation and to the aversion many of her classmates have towards her. Although, it still hasn't entirely managed to stop a few dedicated admirers from continuing their observations at a safe distance in hopes of catching a glimpse of a rare smile, a twisted popularity the girl in question is entirely oblivious to. Either way, thanks to her perpetual poker face, she's more "handsome" than she is "pretty," and her preferences in clothing tend to reflect that distinction. Aside from her school uniform, she's almost never seen wearing a skirt of any type, and usually favors simple, comfortable outfits that are easy to move around in. There's almost nothing girly in her entire wardrobe, and, if there was, it would probably just end up buried beneath a veritable mountain of jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies. At least some things never change, I guess. Personal Story Born to a marriage that quickly fell apart, the details of Suzuka's early life are as seldom spoken of as they are easy to guess for those who knew her at that time. Left in the care of her father by an absentee mother in a rather messy divorce, she ended up forced to be independent from a rather young age, as her dad worked to make ends meet and thus was seldom home to tend to his daughter's needs. Unable to afford the mounting costs of continuously hiring a babysitter, he was all too happy, if somewhat chagrined, to take up the neighbors on their offer to watch over the young Suzuka in his stead when he had to spend the night at his company. So it was that Suzuka came to meet a certain boy, who would become her first and most important friend, filling a void she had not until then even fully appreciated the existence of. When nobody was home and she wanted someone to talk to, now there was somebody who'd listen to her. When the house was empty and she had nothing to do, there was a warm place where the lights would be on and people would be laughing right next door. When she found something new and interesting, there was someone she could share it with, and someone who would share all sorts of fascinating things with her in return. There were others, too -- others who she never would have been able to work up the courage to speak with had Eikichi not introduced them to her. Most of her friends thus ended up being boys, rather than the other girls in her class, with whom she found she had almost nothing in common... save, perhaps, for one. It wasn't like she had done anything particularly special, but for whatever reason, Mika-chan seemed to think the world of her. Really, that girl was just too nice for her own good... but having somebody else who was nice to her was fine in its own way. She missed her almost as much as Eikichi when the news abruptly came that she had to leave all of that behind her. An overseas transfer. A job offer her father, in his financially precarious position, couldn't afford to refuse. A boring life out in the country living with her grandparents for three long years, with the few classmates she had at her new school all having grown up together, and with little room in their established groups for a rude and awkward outsider. And all the while, what few messages she got from home -- or what had once been home -- all showed friends who seemed to be living their lives just fine without her. It would have been selfish to wish otherwise, of course. It's not like she had hoped they'd be sad, or anything. But the experience taught her one thing -- that what she had called "friendship" before was perhaps more important than she had ever given it credit for. That maybe, it was something she couldn't live without. She got her chance when she turned 16. After a turbulent first year at her local high school, she managed to talk her father into allowing her to transfer to a different school, back in her hometown. She'd be living in the unused apartment above a small cafe run by her aunt, and helping out with the store as a part-time employee on weekends. If she could prove that she was capable of living responsibly under such loose supervision, she'd be allowed to stay. But if any trouble arose, she'd be moving right back in with her grandparents. It was perhaps foolish to hope that she could just walk right back into her old life and pick things up where she had so abruptly left them off. But when her old friends -- when he appeared right in front of her again, how could she not at least try? Frigid on the surface, melting down inside -- more honest with herself than she'd care to be, and unable to be honest with the people who matter -- Osanai Suzuka gives it her all today as well. |
![]() _______________________________________________ Identity Full Name - ไธ่ฒใฟใใ - Isshiki Mikako Nicknames - Mika, Okaa-nee Age - 17 Gender - Female Year - Second Personality Responsible As someone who's been helping to take care of a pretty big family since she was pretty small, Mikako has developed a keen sense of responsibility. And, of course, her family isn't the only thing in her life; this sense of duty, responsibility, and sheer has stuck with her everywhere. Her grades are excellent. She's on student council. She tutors people for free. And so on and so forth. There's always more in life for you to do, after all, and if you can do something for someone, then you should. That said, this is a bit of a double-edged sword. Because she feels so keenly that she should put herself out to do things for people, she's got a bit of a pattern of being taken advantage of. Sugary But despite that, despite her hard work and the occasional advantage being taken, Mikako is just about the sweetest, most empathetic girl you could ever hope to meet. It's part of why she's so easy to take advantage of as well; if someone gives the excuse of their sibling being sick or something, well, what is she supposed to do? Not believe them? Ask for proof? Of course not. If one of her siblings was sick she'd do anything for them, so of course she understands. Whether she's helping a kid look for something they lost, talking a friend through a bad breakup, she's a genuinely kind person that rarely loses her temper and really, honestly wants everyone to be happy. This leads to her being overly helpful, and putting herself way out solving problems that aren't really hers to solve. Cheerful But it's not that she just wants other people to be happy; though does, of course, Mikako still manages to keep her own smile unblunted. Her chipper grin is almost her trademark. She's not superhuman, of course; she can lose her temper or get upset just like anybody else. But taking care of three younger siblings has expanded her patience greatly, because what is she supposed to do, yell at her seven year old brother? Not likely! It's pretty difficult to get under her skin. That said, though, just as it's kind of difficult to get under her skin, it can also be a little difficult to get to know her on a deeper level. She doesn't mean to, of course, but she's already got so much on her plate, and she's loath to ask anybody else to do any of it, so it's hard to spend time with her, even if you're a close friend. Peacemaker The best way to get her attention, though, is people fighting. She hates it. She hates it so much The worst is seeing friends fight, it makes her feel all twisted up inside. So she leverages a bit of that patience and kindness that she's got running through her to try and step in when people are in conflict. Does this always work? No. Not at all. But it can work. And if there's a shot, then she's going to take it. It's easier for her to prompt reconciliation between younger children; that's what she's really good at, after all. But even though high schoolers and younger children are very much different, she still tries. She tries, and tries, and tries. And wow, does it feel good when she succeeds. Character Relationships Suzuka "I'm really happy to see her again. And Kaede is over the moon, she missed her so much! She's really good with the kids even if she doesn't know it. She's better with people than she thinks she is, I think, it's a shame people don't talk to her more!" Eikichi "You know, he was so earnest when he was a kid. I think he decided to make a middle school debut, or maybe he caught a little bit of the chuunibyou? I'm not sure. I spent some time with him and Suzuka when we were in elementary school, but I haven't talked to him much since then." Haruto "He's a gem! Sweet kid, seems to really like people and the whole camera deal is just the cutest thing. I'm glad he seems to be happy, though I personally don't know him well." Other Information She has three siblings: Kaede (13), Rin (11), and Hiro (7). Kaede calls her nee-chan or nee-san like a normal person, Rin is going through a manga phase so she calls her aneue, and Hiro calls her okaa-nee and she thinks it's the literal cutest thing that has ever been. She lives in the more affluent northern part of the island is a fairly substantial house; her parents a pretty good chunk of money as pilots, so they're not hard up. | Physical Description Mikako is a little bit short, ending up around five feet even, or 152cm. Her blonde hair, usually tied back in either pigtails tied with black and white bows, or a ponytail tied with both, has just enough droop in the front to frame her bright smile and her bright green eyes. Also, that hair is long, falling comfortably to the small of her back even when tied up. She takes impeccable care of it; or at least she tries to, sometimes she's busy enough that it's not viable and it ends up frizzy and out of pocket. But most of the time it's smooth and shiny (and smells nice, too). It had better be; she wakes up an hour early every morning to make sure, after all. She keeps a comb, a hairbrush, and a small bottle of hair product in her bookbag at all times. She has a typical enough build for a high schooler at the moment; however, her mom is a pretty curvaceous person, and she's starting to develop in that direction as well. It's all a bit embarrassing for her, really. Consequently, when she gets changed for gym classes she does her best to do so a little bit out of the way, and get it done with as fast as possible. Her skin is at least tanned enough not to be pallid, by and large because she just ends up being outside a lot by happenstance; bikes to and from school every day, walks to the supermarket to buy stuff for dinner, spends time in the nearby park with her siblings... When she's not wearing her uniform, she tends to wear comfy, but feminine, clothing. Jeans, sweats, floofy oversize sweaters, sundresses, midi skirts, when it's really hot out she'll rock a sports bra and shorts, and so on and so forth. If she can, she gets them in shades of blue, green, and white. They're her favorite colors, and she thinks they go the best with her hair and her eyes. A special mention, though, has to go out to the thing that she can most often be seen wearing outside of school. Brought back by her mom from London, the Malibu blue newsboy cap is something that she treasures deeply. She's pinned a white and a pink star on the brim, and basically any time she can wear her hat, she does. It makes her feel closer to her parents, and on those infrequent nights where she lies in bed, staring at the ceiling and missing mom and dad, she clutches it to her chest and it chases away the cold. She carries herself with something almost like a bounce, a cheerful spring to her step that doesn't quite intercede on the strange aura of maturity that she bears. Of course, she's not always happy, as discussed, and when she's not feeling super jazzed that bounce morphs into a much more typical stride, usually with purpose, because if something is bothering her then she's probably trying to do something about it. Personal Story It was difficult for Isshiki Akiko, nรฉe Tanaka, to leave her career as an airline pilot alongside her husband to raise their child. But leave it she did, because that child--a girl that they named Mikako--was as important to her as the whole world. She was a kind, helpful child from the very beginning. Even when she was a toddler clinging to Akiko's skirts, she was still babbling that she wanted to help her in the kitchen, because 'mommy is always so busy!" Akiko thought it was the CUTEST thing. Whenever Jun came home, he would lavish attention on her too. This went on until she was five, at which point her mom told her: "Mi-chan, you're going to be an older sister!" And everything changed when Kaede was born. With six years between them, the jealousy that kind of takes over kids when siblings are born was absent in Mikako. Indeed, she went the opposite direction, and became incredibly fond of her kid sister. Of course, she couldn't do much; she was still only six, after all, just starting elementary school. But after a few years, when she started growing more capable--and when Rin came along--she finally got her wish to help her mom around the house. While her mother was busy with feeding and taking care of an infant, she threw her whole ten-year-old self into cooking, doing laundry, cleaning, organizing, making every bed in the house...and the list went on. At first she didn't figure out how to balance things and isolated herself from her friends; but a few months of it was all it took for her to figure it out. She was popular in elementary school. She liked everyone (with maybe a few exceptions), and everyone seemed to like her too. Her favorite people were Ei-kun, and the girl he'd introduced her to, Suzu-chan. She spent more time with Suzuka, really; she even started to get a little jealous of Eikichi, because Suzuka seemed to like spending time with him more than she did spending time with Mikako. So she tried to spend time with her ten times as hard. The four, then five, then six-year old Kaede adored her. She thought she was SO cool, and Mikako firmly agreed. She had three siblings that she adored. She was well-liked at school, and had some very good friends. Everything seemed to be coming up Mikako! It was about this time that she started being...a little too helpful. It got her coming home from school late sometimes, because she'd spend her time helping someone after school. Her mother was worried about it, but she seemed, happy, so she figured it was fine. ...And then Suzuka announced that she was moving away. It deeply upset the then-thirteen year old Mikako; right before middle school, one of her best friends went poof into thin air. Ei-kun changed himself too, turned...weird. She still liked him, but without Suzu-chan tying them together they didn't really spend time together anymore, and eventually drifted apart. Still, her life was good. Hiro was starting to grow up a little bit, Rin was stringing together sentences a little bit better, and Kaede--her favorite, but don't tell anyone!--started to really come into her own personality! ...Which was really similar to Ei-kun's new one, which was...a lot to deal with at home. And then came the biggest bomb to be dropped on her. When she was fifteen years old, in her last year of middle school, her mom informed her: she was going back to working full-time with dad. She was in charge of the house now. They trusted her to take care of the house and her siblings, to make sure they were happy, clean, and fed. It was up to her now. It was a TECTONIC shift for her. Instead of taking an assistant role, she was now the caretaker-in-chief. A year later was when she truly came into her own as the substitute mom, just as she was going into her first year of high school. Her grades dipped at first; her first semester, she got slapped with nothing but Cs. But as she figured the balance out, her honor-student grades returned, her siblings were happy, and everyone at school seemed to like her. And Suzu-chan was back! It's been two years now since she took on the household, and she's thriving, but she's also starting to...burn herself out just a little bit. She's still popular at school, people really like her, but she's taking on more work that she's really able to keep up with. Secretary of student council; a constant member of broadcasting club (and kendo club, oddly enough), a tutor for students who are struggling, and always willing to help clubs that are short somehow--all that alongside her working in her household--she's not sleeping as much as she should, and she's starting to get a little bit tired. But her friend's back, she has friends all over, her siblings love her, she gets good grades, she's athletic...so of course she doesn't complain. What more could she want? |
