Race: Armonii
Species Description:
• On the extremely rare chance of seeing an Armonite out of their armor, one would be extremely surprised by their appearance. Their frail and pale exoskeletons display an oddly docile nature, though their usual manner is contrary to the appearance. Other races have called their appearance cute, only to be swiftly corrected by the nearest standing Armonite. Armonii do not take such ‘be-littlings’ lightly.
• Their meek frame does lend itself to one of their shortcomings. Their lifespans. For unknown reasons, possibly their mainly liquid diets and high activity levels, the average Armonii lives only to see his/her 60’s. They tend to try and live highly active lives, throwing themselves into what interests them.
• Armonite armors are usually mixed bags of scavenged parts and second had equipment through trade. Usually trying to differentiate themselves from other hunters, their decals and design is usually unique, though most would have a standard level of technology based upon their role. (See Culture and Society to see this explained.)
• Biologically Armonii have either two or four eyes with a long tongue protrusion that acts as their mouth. Armonii exoskeletons are a combination of hard calcium plates and a less durable and flexible calcium weave. As stated before, they have primarily liquid diets that are high on electrolytes.
Population: The home world of the Armonii, Gar’Balmé, is, for the most part, rather untamed and diverse. Only their capital city of Yulthwai really gives way to a expanding society, however the size of the city takes up the land mass of a average sized continent and stretches high into the sky. With their relatively small life span and steady death and birth rates, the population remains at a minuscule 3 billion in comparison to other races.
Government: The Armonii Predate practices a representative government with a relatively small Council. Each a master of their respective trade, the members of the Primarchy converse about the needs of their respective industry and vote on new laws, budgets, and regulations as a whole. The Primarchy used to only consist of 6 seats, each for the respective hunting house, but as the republic grew it became clear that the Primarchy needed to expand. As required, a new seat is added to the Primarchy, helping the governing body remain in touch with the populous.
Culture/History:
• The planet Gar’Balmé was a largely hostile and wild. The Armonii quickly learned the value of protection quickly. At first, they simply crafted armors to protect themselves on the hunt, the armor became synonymous with the almost savior like persona given to hunters. Epic stories and tale of these men and women defending villages from large deadly creatures. The hunter’s guild soon grew into prominence and became the only stable governing body for the Armonii people. The hunters of the guild did not squander their new position and took up an organizational role as well as their previous protector role.
