Rosina was crazy excited when the two of them got to Viridian city. Once they finished in the forest Rosina could already tell Azurill was stronger when they came out. She was so proud of him and Teddiursa as well.

Going into the PokeMart was so fun! She had bought 10 Pokeballs and 5 of each Potions and Antidotes. After that she met Nurse Joy who was soooo nice! She had wanted to stay and talk but Carter had pulled her out to visit the Gym where some old guy was being mean. She pouted all the way to Carter's house.

When they went inside, Rosina waved to his mom and introduced herself. After that, Carter said he had something cool to show her, and his mom gave the OK to go see it.

As she went up the stairs she saw his mom getting some kind of food for the two Pokemon. Azurill and Teddiursa stayed behind, happily awaiting their treat.

"This better be super ultra fantasticly awesome cool, 'cuz im super excited now." she said following him.

Mana was answerd by a boy with a Poochyena. She gave a smile and then pointed toward the direction of Professor Oak's lab. "Let's get going then!" She laughed and began marching with Dratini still wrapped around her head. Mana suddenly stopped and turned back to the boy.

"Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Mana!" She said, remembering that the boy wasn't there when she introduced herself earlier. "What's your name?" She asked with a smile.

"Milo, Milo Cash." He said trying to sound a lot more light hearted than he was reaching ou his hand for a handshake.

Poochy ran up to Mana, a little curious of the new person.

Carter laughed and nodded, standing in front of his desk, blocking her view of something. "My dad gave me this, and someday, I'll make another friend because of it!" He stepped aside and revealed a fat, cylindrical clear tube, with an egg the size of a basketball inside. It was dark grey with a few purple blotches. "Ta dah! It's a Pokemon egg!!" He said, grinning.

"I got it from my dad, who works near Mt. Moon at a research facility. He wouldn't tell me what kind of Pokemon egg it was, but he did say it was hatch-able and that one day, I'll have a new partner! I'm gonna bring it on my journey." He picked up the tube and snapped it with straps to the front of his backpack, smiling. "What do you think?"

Lance

Lance stopped by professor oak to get his pokedex and 5 starter pokeballs. He then left to viridan city and in the forest he saw a caterpie. ''Up for a battle elekid?'' Elekid nodded and prepared. The caterpie looked at elekid and fired a string shot. ''Elekid use shock wave'' Lance ordered. Elekid began rotating its arms in a circular motion and the antennae's on its head began lighting up. He fires a blue beam of electricity from his antennae's which incinerates the string shot and knock caterpie into the air. ''Elekid now use Mach punch and hit it towards the ground.'' Elekid leaps into the air and knocks caterpie into a tree, ''Great job Elekid'' Lance says pleased.

"It's nice to meet you, Milo!" Mana shook her hand a bit vigorously. As Poochyena ran over to her, she knelt down and patted him on the head. Dratini became a bit jealous, slid down to Mana's shoulder, and tightened the grip around her neck. "Agh!" She quickly stood up and pulled Dratini off. "Are you trying to kill me??" She pouted and decided to hold Dratini in her arms instead. Mana sighed and turned back to Milo and his Poochyena. "Well, let's get going then." She proceeded to walk toward Professor Oak's place. Once they arrived, she entered inside and went straight to receive her Pokedex.

"So, uh, are you Professor Oak?" Mana began and the man inside with grey hair answered her. They began conversing for a bit and Professor Oak gave Mana a Pokedex and a few Pokeballs. She waited for Milo and messed with her new Pokedex in the meantime.

Rosina looked curiously at the egg. "Woah. A pokemon is inside there? Cool!" she said excitedly. She was really happy for Carter and his pokemon inside that egg. They were gonna be a great team. "Soooo." she said plopping down on Carters bed and pulling out her map. "Where do we go next?"

She looked at the cities and noticed that some of them had Pokemon Gyms. "Do you think i should challenge the gyms, or focus on making my team first?" she asked him thoughtfully.

"You should definitely challenge the gyms!" Carter, turning and smiling. "The first one is in Pewter City. It's a Rock-type gym, perfect for you and Azurill to take on!" He pulled out his Pokedex and showed her the type match-ups. "These are essential to know for battle. If you're opponent has a higher-leveled Pokemon than you, you can still beat them with a good type match." He explained.

He snapped his dex closed and slipped it back into his pocket. "Of course, you should also work on making a balanced team. The second gym is a Water type, and the next one will be Electric, which is strong against water. Bad matches for a water-type." Carter looked fondly around his room one last time. "Okay, I'm ready to go!" He said, leading her back downstairs. Teddiursa and Azurill were being fed some Pokemon food, Carter's mom watching them and reading. "Leaving now, Honey?" She asked, kissing him on the forehead. She turned to Rosina. "You have fun on your journey too, dear." She said, smiling. Teddiursa was returned to his Pokeball, which was placed on Carter's belt.

They made their way through town, and up to Route 2, stopping at the gatehouse into Viridian Forest. "Okay, get ready. There are Poison-type and Bug-type Pokemon ahead. Keep your antidotes handy." He advised, always careful. They took their first steps in.

Lance

The caterpie fled into the forest, Elekid relaxes and they begin on the walk again. they soon reach viridian city and stop by the Pokemon market to get some antidotes and paralyze heals. ''Gotta be careful of those bug types'' Lance says to Elekid. They continue walking and see a boy and a girl at the front preparing to go into viridian forest. ''Viridian forest is pretty dangerous alone, maybe we should go with those two trainers in case we need help.'' Elekid nods in agreement and they walk up to the two trainers. ''Hey, do you mind if me and elekid go through viridian forest with you two?''

"I'm thinking something like Romeo or Gabriel." He said as the Eevee jumped off his head and into some nearby tall grass. "Eevee!" Terry yelled, sprinting into the bush after Eevee.

Silver got to viridian city in short time. He waited around at the pokemon center for a few minutes while they took care of his axew. After that he walked to the entrance of the forest and smiled. He didn't wait around any more. He and axew walked into the forest and started on their way through towards pewter city.

A piercing, echoing 'CAW' cracked through the entirety of the Viridian Forest.

Kuroi, a young and sleek trainer walked slowly through the dusky forest, hands resting calmly inside the pockets of his rich-looking black travelling coat. His half-lidded silver gaze glanced upwards for a split second, where an abnormally large and dark Honchkrow rested calmly in the trees. He winked once, a smirk forming on his pale lips, right before the Honchkrow suddenly blasted from it's tree, launching an assortment of Weedles, Caterpies, and Butterflies from their nests.

"Froakie, Ice Barrage." he said calmly, watching as the frenzied Pokemon lunged at his form, an analytical twinkle in his irises. In a flash of black, a standard Froakie, sleeker and leaner then most, blasted from it's Luxury Ball, fists glowing an icy hue. The Pokemon jabbed the first butterfly in the torso, fainting it instantly, before turning around and launching a barrage of blurringly fast jabs and punches at the rest of the bug Pokemon. Within minutes, they were knocked out, all except one Beedrill.

"BEEDRILL!" It screeched, charging the recovering frog. Froakie winced, pulling up it's fists to block the Fury Attack.

Kuroi smirked.

In another flash of black dust, a Houndoom blasted from it's Poke-Ball, flying through the sky and tackling the Beedrill out of the air. Snarling silently and pinning the bee down, the Houndoom opened it's large maw, releasing a torrent of crimson-hot flames that completely incinerated the bug Pokemon.

"Good work, everyone..." Kuroi clapped softly. Froakie smiled, before leaping onto it's trainers shoulder as the tall young man began walking further into the forest, towards Viridian. They had a parcel to pick up, after all, before they went to Pewter once more. Houndoom slinked swiftly beside him, while Honchkrow circled the air above the forest, keeping an eye out for any unnatural danger.

Milo walked in just behind Mana, after she finished talking to Prof. Oak and got her poke'balls and Poke'dex, he told Oak it was finally time for him to leave. Milo wanted to cry, but he wouldn't not with so many people around. He had been here his whole life, knew Oak like family, and now he had to leave with his Poochy. After their goodbyes Oak gave Milo a little bit of cash since he knew Milo didn't have a penny to his name at the moment.

Milo turned to Mana, "Ready to go?" he asked his voice betraying his cool looks sounding clearly he wanted to cry.

After they established the plan was to fight the gym leaders and said goodbye to Carter's mom, the two headed off to route 2, the entrance to Viridian forest. Rosina had put Azurill back in his pokeball and was indifferent about not running into any tough pokemon on the way. When the two reached the mouth of the forest, a boy approached them from behind.

"Hey, do you mind if me and Elekid go through Viridian Forest with you two?" Rosina turned and smiled happily. "Oh, sure you can join ud! I'm Rosina, and this is Carter." she said, gesturing to her friend. The boy introduced himself as Lance and his Elekid did as well, and Rosina waved to it.

"C'mon, lets go!" she said excitedly and doing a little hop. They all went in and started making their way through the tall grass of the thick, maze-like forest. There were parts where they could avoid it, the tall grass, and they took that path only to return to the same maze of grass. A large gust of wind blew then and Rosina held down her red hair that was blowing around her face.

"Cott...toneeeee."

Rosina looked up to see a pokemon had been blown out of a nearby tree and drifted a few feet in front of her. "Aww! How cute." she said taking out her Pokedex. It chimed on and registered the pokemon.

"Cottonee. The Cotton Puff pokemon. Cottonee shoots cotton to distract its opponent when attacked, and travels around wherever the wind takes it."

She listened to the robotic voice of the pokedex before putting it away. "Okay, you are too cute not to be part of my team." she said to it, stepping closer.

"Cott...toneee...!" it said, backing away. The voice of the pokemon was deep and a little scared. Rosina figured it was probably a boy Cottonee.

"Its okay, i wont hurt you." she said moving closer. When she did, he shot out a sticky purple ball from its mouth. Rose quickly moved back, recognizing the move as Toxic.

"Okay, so you wanna fight?" she took Azurill's ball from her belt and tossed it. "Come help me out Azurill!"

"Azurill!" it said, eager to battle as it came out.

She wasted no time. "Azurill use water gun!"

"Rill!"

A jet of water forcefully shot out at the pokemon and it landed a hit, but all that happened was the Cottonee slowly lowered to the ground. Looking highly upset, a green ball formed at its mouth and shot out, hitting Azurill and making him fly into her. She stumbled back, catching him as the green ball faded into leaves. Oh no! That was energy ball! she said, worried for her pokemon.

"Azurill, you okay?" she asked, putting him down. He shook his little blue body and looked determined, but weak. He wouldn't be able to take another hit like that.

Then Rosina had an idea. Looking back at her friends, she said, "Lance, Carter, cover your ears!" she did the same then told Azurill, "Azurill, use Sing!"

Her pokemon nodded and started singing a quiet melody that caused a few Pidgeys to fall from the sky and land in the grass, asleep. A moment later she saw the Cottonee slowly drift off as well.

Waiting for her Azurill to look at her before removing her hands, Rosina reached into her bag and pulled out a pokeball. Tossing it at the Cottonee, it absorbed the pokemon and three wiggles later, made the sealing sound.

"Wooooo! We did it Azurill!" she said giving her pokemon a hi-five to his tail before going to get Cottonee's pokeball. Turning to Carter and Lance she smiled, returning Azurill to his ball too, clicking both onto her belt.

"You two can stop covering your ears now."

Lance takes his hands away from his ears. ''Nice job, you caught it like a pro'' he congratulated Rosina. ''Is azurill okay though, that was a pretty bad hit by that energy ball.'' He asks scratching his head. ''They were in total sync when they were battling, similar to me and Elekid.'' Lance thinks in his head. ''Well we better get a move on finding our way out of this forest'' Lance says as looks for a passage we haven't went through.

Mana felt eager to start her adventure. "Alright! We've stalled enough, let's get this show on the road!" She held her fist in the air and struck a pose. Dratini also played along cheerfully. Without any further delay, Mana began slightly jogging back to route 1 and noticed pretty much all the other trainers had left. "At this rate, we're gonna be left in the dust!" She complained to Milo and proceeded to walk quickly. Now that they were on route 1, they had to deal with wild Pokemon. Mana wasn't aware of this.

A wild Pidgey appeared and swooped over Mana, knocking off her hat. She was knocked back, surprised and frantically grabbed her hat. "A-ah, Dratini! Go!" She did what she was familiar with by watching Pokemon fights on TV. Despite that, it was her first time battling. Dratini plopped onto the ground and got into a fighting stance. The wild Pidgey landed on the ground in front of them waited to see what would happen. "Uhm... Dratini, attack!" Mana nervously commanded her Pokemon, realizing she doesn't even know attack names. As Dratini was about to attack, the Pidgey lifted itself from the ground and used Gust. Mana covered her face with her arm to prevent the dirt from flying to her eyes. Dratini was pushed back, began on her own, and used thunder wave to paralyze the Pidgey. At that moment, she began attacking.

Mana took the opportunity to throw a Pokeball and wait to hear the final beep. Pidgey was caught. She leaped with joy and spun around with Dratini. She quickly released Pidgey from the Pokeball to record his data and then return him again. "Did you see that?!" She excitedly asked Milo and continued on route 1 cheerfully. After arriving into Viridian City, she stopped by a Pokemart to buy some supplies.

The machop struggled to get up and assume it's stance again, despite the powder he could still move, for the most part. it's teeth were clenched hard and it's fist tightened, Carson saw it was ready to take out the rival Pokemon, and with a smile he spoke his next move knowing it could follow through. The attack the rival pokemon used didn't do much as machop was surprisingly strong, but was very slow and not the brightest."quick use seismic throw" said erin as the machop managed to grab the other one with a smile.

David froze as the attack hit and Rose was deafeated. He went over and picked up the small pokemon. He smiled and said "You did great Budew....I know you will be strong like our mothers.." The pokemon let out a small, but happy noise before passing out out of exhaustion. He returned the pokemon. David smiled at Carson. "You did great. Your Machop must be really strong.."

David froze as the attack hit and Rose was deafeated. He went over and picked up the small pokemon. He smiled and said "You did great Budew....I know you will be strong like our mothers.." The pokemon let out a small, but happy noise before passing out out of exhaustion. He returned the pokemon. David smiled at Carson. "You did great. Your Machop must be really strong.."

Erin smiled as he looked up in astonishment =, had he really won? He was at a disadvantage but he managed to win it seemed uncanny but it had happened. With a smile he High-five to the machop and nodded to David before his machop fell over and began to tense up.

"your pretty good to that is a strange pokemon you got there, hey maybe we should get them all patched up" he said with a smile

Kuroi quietly entered the Pokemart. Froakie and Honchkrow had been returned, leaving his large, muscular Houndoom to walk beside him in silent, intimidating steps. Calm silver eyes quickly glanced at the figure of a shorter male and a female, before turning over to a shady looking man in a suit. He walked over to the man in measured footsteps, his normal smirk forming on his face.

"Greetings, Perune." Kuroi said in his calm, silky voice, reaching out a hand. Perune stuttered out a greeting before giving Kuroi a small brown package and dashing out of the Pokemart. Kuroi frowned, but ignored the rude manners, quickly putting the package away. He noticed the store owner's stare, and walked over to the counter."Three antidotes and 10 Poke-Balls..." the trainer said, giving the man a check and grabbing the items without being handed them.

"Now...onwards to Pewter!"

Houndoom sighed, watching it's owner unprofessionally point towards the door with dramatic 'class and flair'.
