Name: Amelia Averyonna
Age: 11 (Wendy is around this age so I assume this is fine)
Magic: Necro Spirit- Another form of Spirit Magic, similar to Celestial Spirit magic. The main differences are that the spirits are spirits of the dead rather then spirits of the celestial realm and that they can be carried in stones rather then special keys. The only requirements for the stones is that they must be some black stone, preferably obsidian or onyx. The other requirement is the requirement that makes this magic very rare, though not rare to the point that it's a Lost Magic. That requirement is the requirement to see and talk to the dead, a rare gift among people. Amelia meets and goes beyond this requirement, being able to see, talk, and physically interact with the spirits of the dead.

When summoned the spirits gain a physical body. Lower level spirits usually have a skeletal appearance while higher level spirits have a full flesh and blood body. Spirits of exceptional power gain a body that tends to be monstrous in some way. Amelia lack of power and experience to summon anything other then Skeletal Spirits at the moment.
Magic Level: C

History: Amelia was born near the town of Oak. From the beginning her heart condition was an issue for her parents but they did their best for their little girl. Amelia started noticing spirits at the age of 2 but by the time she was 4 her parents began noticing her gift as well. However, they saw it more as a curse and, despite how young and fragile their daughter was, Amelia's parents abandoned her in the woods and left her with nothing more then the cloths on her back, a few snacks, and her favorite stuffed animal.

Normally a girl that young and with her condition would've died very quickly. However, her parents had dropped Amelia off in the middle of what was at one point a great battle ground. Spirits of dead soldiers from opposites sides would fight each other every night. Centuries of this reenactment of a battle long forgotten had gone unnoticed by both sides until the moment the young child walked into the middle of the clash. Amelia almost met her end at the tip of one soldiers stray spear. Luckily her presence hadn't gone completely unnoticed and two soldiers, despite being enemies, worked together to protect the child. After the fighting was over and the spirits settled down did they all finally took notice of the girl. Only then did it dawn on them that time had passed and, realizing their continued battle had no point, many of the spirits vanished. Those that remained reached a pact and decided to stop battling. Most chose to ignore the child that had wondered in but the two that had protected her took it upon themselves to look after Amelia.

With the help of these two spirits, Amelia survived in the woods for 3 years before being discovered by a guildless Lightning Mage by the name of Ellis Averyonna, who was journeying though the woods on a rare job. When Ellis discovered the girl, Amelia acted both parts human and animal, often staying away from the older woman and communicating with poor language. Ellis, seeing a child in need and unable to turn her back, spent the better part of a month trying to get through to Amelia. At first it was difficult, as Amelia wasn't used to someone who didn't vanish after a certain period of time or carried a weapon. Her guardian spirits tried their best to encourage the girl to talk with Ellis but Amelia refused. Ellis, on her end, was confused by Amelia's constant talking and interaction with people she couldn't see. It was only when Ellis and Amelia finally had a full conversation, that Ellis found out the truth about Amelia's past, gifts, and condition.

Knowing she needed to get Amelia out of the woods but that Amelia would be reluctant to leave without the two spirits that watched over her, Ellis left the forest for a week to do some research. Consulting friends, fellow mages, and contact's higher up in the government, Ellis came across the rare magic of Necro Spirit. Seeing this as an answer to her dilemma for her current problem, Ellis returned to the woods as quickly as she could, along with a few pieces of black onyx stone. When she found Amelia again she took another week to teach the young girl this new magic, mostly due to communication difficulties. When Amelia finally made contracts with her first two spirits and learned to summon them, Ellis took the girl out of the woods for the first time in years and brought her back to society.

Needing to support her new daughter, Ellis joined the guild Phoenix Wing as soon as the guild opened. She quickly ascended the guild's ranks, due in equal parts to her talent, her power, and her drive to better Amelia's life. Amelia took to the new life in a very rocky manner. She was naturally distant and still not used to the idea that everyone around her was not a spirit. She rarely talked and when she did she was hard to understand since she didn't know how to effectively communicate what she wanted to say. Over time she got better but she still preferred to keep to herself or Ellis.

About a year ago Ellis went on a job and left Amelia in the care of the guild. She has yet to return and Amelia has gotten anxious. Hoping the worse hasn't happened, she's steeled herself and decided to start taking jobs, to grow stronger and hopefully find out what happened to her mother.

Personality: A social recluse, Amelia has difficulty talking with others. She tends to stick to herself and is usually seen drawing in a back corner of the guild. Sometimes she is seen talking to seemingly thin air but those who have known her for a while will know she is talking to a spirit that wondered in from the local area.

When she does talk to others she tends to be shy but she can be unusually smart and perceptive at times. She also has a firm understanding of the laws surrounding the spirits of the dead and is the guild's best person to turn to when it looks like one might be involved.

Team Members: None
Three Strengths: (Not just combat)
1. Information Gathering (particularly from the dead)
2. Drawing
3. Versatile Magic
Three Weaknesses: (Make them Applicable)
1. Heart Condition - Amelia suffers from a heart condition that causes her to cough up blood, usually when she is under stress o physically pushed to her limits. The spirits under her command are acutely aware of this and when they are fighting they make sure that Amelia has to move as little as possible.
2. Lack of combat experience and ability
3. Has problems talking to the living.

Greatest Love: Drawing
Motivation: To find out what happened to her adoptive mother, Ellis Averyonna.

Ok, done some refurbishing. LINK

Addressing the points:
1) Magic changed. I didn't really hope to get away with it but never gonna find out until i try right? :P
2) Oversight on my part, i was removing all mentions f time and places, that one slipped.
3) Changed to her still hiding her past. It would make for an interesting arc if she's eventually rated out :D

I think Elize's magic is my personal favorite so far, and I look forward to seeing how it'll develop. Only thing I see wrong is "The debt collectors were there, armed with powerful magic" part, 9 years ago there wouldn't be many wizards powerful enough to destroy a town quickly enough before the authorities (Armed with anti-magic weapons) got there. Even if they happened to be some of the few wizards powerful enough back then, they wouldn't be debt collectors.

Yeah, I see that now. I was running out of ideas and kinda took a cop-out xD I'll fixity fix things as soon as I can!

I am playing with the idea to create the Cs for the NPC bartender~ I would leave him open for anyone to use~ he would be a C-Rank Mage with "Word"-Magic like Levi~

He would be the sympathic guy who will always lend you his ear and listen to your problems, the one encouraging you to take a job or form a team.
Ya know like Miranje only less powerfull but as friendly and caring~ Not being the old pops character but being the caring big brother of the guild!

Okay, where do I start with John:
1. The magic on the surface seems weak but when you think about it, it's really strong. Something about it needs to change, either it needs to not be able to absorb living things or John needs to be able to only absorb in one area at a time.(Reason being John could redirect an attack and then instantly move his enemy into a pocket dimension, forcing them to break out and be hit by their redirected attack)
2. Mage Hunters aren't actually a thing as murder is still Illegal, magic was just considered evil and people were driven away or scorned when it was found out that they used it. Magic is/was managed by the council (see the main post which is about to be updated for details).

1. Hmmm I see what you mean. I did mean John to be more of a support-type mage, but I feel like those changes would really limit what he could do. To me it seems that any OPness stems from the pockets of space being an insta hit, so how about we say that the casting time is closely proportional to the size of the space he needs to displace? A person is much bigger than say, an arrow, so that way they should have time to move out of the way if John attempts to trap them (the visual cue would be a blurriness in the air where the spell is being cast at). That would cover the case you mentioned anyway. If there are more that I've missed let me know.

2. I've re-read the intro. I get that the Council oversee magical law enforcement, but still, given how few mages remain (and I'm imagining fewer legal ones) is it not feasible for them to hire non-mages to lighten the workload and help take down criminal mages and such like?

1. I'll accept that, unless dirkinz sees a case where it could go wrong and I don't. (Another visual cue would be the magic circle around them)

2. Possibly, but since the council can only really counter mages with magic weapons or other mages, it'd be unlikely as magic weapons weren't exactly easy to get a hold of.

I was about to go to sleep when I remembered something. We need some help. If you guys could give us a few ideas to start off with for the request board that would be great. We want a big variability in the choice of jobs and we cant make them all ourselves in a reasonable time. Also, for any characters who have been in the guild for an extended amount of time, chances are, you have formed a team to take job requests with. if you guys want to start organizing yourselves as such that would be cool (also, you may add minor NPCs if you need to. Okay, good night for real, haha

Sounds like you guys could use an antagonist or something. I have just the mage, if you'll let me user her~

As for teams, Chloe's been there for a year or two I think. I'll be happy to have her on anyones team~

so to what degree do you need me to rewrite the history? Can I get away with saying that they pursued rogue mages out of personal hate instead of a profession? or do you want me to stay away from the idea of normal humans going after mages all together?

Character Sheet (please delete anything in parentheses)
Name: 'Choir Boy' Filix Cla
Age: 16
Magic:

Magic Level: C

History: Born in a land far south of Fiore where magic is far less prevalent, many people who are born with magic find it a blessing. Filix found it to literally be a curse. Some monsters spread themselves buy using a form of takeover or corrupting humans. Filix was a victim of such a thing from birth. He was cursed to become a Banshee shortly after he was born. To this day he still does not know how or why he was targeted, if someone intentionally inflicted him with the curse or if it was just the random selection of another Banshee. His earliest memories are of being alone in the wilds, being chased away from villages by people and often blacking out.

As he grew older her came to understand that the blacking out was when he transformed into a Banshee and terrorizes humans. He also noticed that the older he got the more frequent and extended these blackouts where. He was destined to lose himself to the monster inside of him. Around the time he turned 10 he woke up from one of his black outs in a hut of all places being tended to by an old man. Filix told him that he should have left him in the woods, that it wasn't safe to be around him, but the old man rolled his eyes and hit him on the head with a staff.

"Don't take me for a fool child" The man said "I know what you are, but you don't need to worry about that anymore."

This man was a local mage who had been called to deal with the Banshee causing trouble in the area. When he found that it wasn't a Natural banshee, and not even a fully turned human for that matter he took to capturing and "curing him". He explained that many magics were learned from humans from monsters, Slaying magic's, Takeover Magic, and the Banshee magic as well. Nothing he could do could untangle the monster from inside of him as it had been there so long it had grown one with his magic and taking the magic from him would be the death of him. Instead he sealed the monster away so he would no longer transform into a Banshee, but still have use of the Magic. It wasn't a prefect cure of course, the monster still lived inside of him and there was always a chance that the seal could be broken, but the best way to prevent that would be to continue to practice magic. Filix was reluctant at first but agreed none the less. He and the man lived together for 4 years before he decided there was little more he could do to teach the boy.

The mage told him to head to the North to the most magic filled kingdom and to find a guild where he could be around others like him and continue to practice his magic. His journey eventually lead him to Phoenix Wing where he's been for the past 2 years.

Personality: Still very young he has a sort of youthful energy to him, He enjoys singing and performing, though tends to avoid the brawls that will sometimes pop up in the guild. While he is not shy and prefers to open and honest about most things he keeps his past to himself. His origins are fairly common knowledge among the guild, but he prefers to not talk about it and will shut down anyone who tries to force the issue.

Team Members: None as of the moment

Three Strengths: (Not just combat)
1. Very Agile and swift, gymnast like in his movements and ability.
2. His magical Endurance is impressive.
3. He has excellent control of his voice, allowing him to imitate others, make noises, or do various animal/monster calls. Only if he is somewhat familiar with them of course.

Three Weaknesses: (Make them Applicable)
1. Lacks physical strength and can be easily over powered by many
2. He has no up-close combat or magic
3. He has a fear of one day losing control

Greatest Love: Singing

Motivation: To find a way to safely remove the Banshee from him.

Appearance: Filix Cla

Additional Details: He carries a staff similar to the one who saved him, He can't use it really for fighting but it is magically reinforced to be incredible tough so it comes in handy for defense or getting over obstacles.

I guess there could be non-mages going after mages, it's just unlikely as they would not be very successful against mages with any decent amount of power. If you do stick with the normal humans vs. mages thing, address this issues (perhaps they aren't that good at their job, or they go after weak mages only?)
