Wait, so it allows her to know everything that was ever written down, ever? Wouldn't that make her omniscient, pretty much?

No, it's more like if they look at something and invock the authority they know the "truth" about it. So it's less knowing everything, and more like knowing the "truth". It's conceptually better than Detectives Authority, but I would say Detectives Authority is better, since it gives you Knox.

It's a really weird concept because Umineko is really meta with its mechanics. It's the same with the nasu verse; it's half why this discussion has been going on so long. Weird universes can get. . .weird.

Well, if Fragarch hit Stein should be alive if Darkside gets him out of there and works on getting him stable and healed up

The scenario's are as follows;

Fragarch works. Darkside does not help Stein. Stein bleeds out.

Fragarch works. Darkside helps Stein. Stein recovers.

Fragarch hits wrong heart. Darkside helps stein. Stein recovers.

Fragarch hits wrong heart. Darkside does not help Stein. Stein bleeds out.

There are three layers of argument to get Fragarch not to work, so I'd say it's likely one of the first two. And it ought to be the second, as long as Darkside gets him out of there. Gilgamesh doesn't seem to want to hurt Stein anymore. I think he originally just wanted him to go make sure Mia was safe, so I doubt he'd attack Darkside and Stein on their way out.
Also, in regards to the Stein helping Lily, I think Carmilla would've likely let him help her if he directly participated in the game by "betting" on Lily. However sending an ambassador was seen as an insult because it's as if he's insulting Carmilla, the three players, and her game by saying "This isn't even important enough for me to show up for." Of course he was sort of preoccupied fighting Gilgamesh, so he had a reason. But alias, that's that as they say.

In this case? Resonance.

A trump card is "an ultimate X", be it a technique, attack, or innate ability. If he has an ultimate passive ability, it can be fired whenever. In this case though, it was fired in response to the activation of Resonance.

Also you do have to contend with the issue of it not being Stein's heart, but I'm sure BB will explain what is meant by that, so I won't bother.

You can still save Stein, but you clearly need to get him out of there now. I wouldn't suggest fighting while you can do that.Like I said, is it "Steins" heart? Then they can continue on. In this scenario, Steins body should still be nearly cut in half, since Fragarch leaves a mess. However it's "possible" to pull him out of there and for Darkside to bring him back as you had planned. For things that are "unkillable", that's what Gae Bolg is for.

Trust me, darkside can kill him and have time to spare when it concerns saving stine.

What qualifies as 'an ultimate X'? Unlike a servant, Stein doesn't have a single most powerful ability, he has a row of different abilities that work in different ways. Furthermore, this was used earlier on Mia simply for her having the Black Blood, how is that her 'ultimate X'?

And it WAS Stein's heart.

I'm planning on having the Ambassador show that he won't be that easily taken down.

You're still not getting it, it's-

Gah, whatever. BB's far more open to a compromise that results in both Stein and Gil alive at the end of this than I am, so I'll leave this to him as that's probably the nicer outcome for everyone here. He knows everything I do about the matter and more after all, so I doubt my stepping back will cause a detriment.

I will however say that you really don't want Gilgamesh to die. Things become very problematic for the whole RP the second he does.

Actually, I really really do. Also, whether or not the dagger hits Stein is irrelevant to whether Gil is dead. Stein can completely ignore pain and most wounds. Even if the dagger completely cleaved him in half, which I find unlikely, simply with a working brain he would have continued the attack, which would take less than 2 seconds to execute. The heart thing was a gamble, the point was to kill him regardless of whether or not Stein died.

"Continue the attack"

Fragarach rewinds to the point before the attack had begun. Stein would need to charge up the entire attack again, and that would be with half of his body missing.

Either way, Darkseid is gonna resurrect Stein and Gil remains alive. I don't see any problem to this conclusion.
