NameSakiko Akazawa
AgeSixteen
Affiliation The Order
AppearanceTo describe Sakiko Akazawa is pretty straight forward— she’s a prototypical youthful teenager with dark hair and brown eyes, with a average height and an appearance that is still developing as she gets older. But even taking that into account there is… something else about her that most people don’t notice. A darker presence following her, perhaps one that has made her expressiveness dim and give an appearance of someone who is world weary despite her young age and generally bright demeanor. This of course has to do with her transformation into a mahou shojo; a transformation that alters her appearance to that of a teenaged girl with bright blonde hair and emerald green eyes.
Wish“I want to punish the guilty.”

PowersOutside of the standard affair of mahou shojo powers (superhuman endurance, superhuman reflexes, alteration of appearance, etc), Sakiko is quite possibly as a byproduct of her transformation a living divine battery. Though given her aggressive personality and attributes she is hardly one who heals and protects but rather… destroys and punishes. The nature of her “power” is erratic and despite the ability to purify demonic or supernatural creatures with enough focus with this energy it also has a habit of controlling her and to some; makes her unstable. The curse of her transformation is apparent as she can feel good and evil— changing the perspective from optimistic and cheerful to one of a burdening cynic who realizes that humanity is evil, almost inherently. Her wish drives her to punish evil as if she can never escape a wish that has become a unstoppable desire.
WeaponPerhaps due to her comfortability or innate skill with archery in her mundane life, it was decided that Sakiko’s weapon as a mahou shojo is a mystical bow that gathers magical energies forged akin to arrows. The bow appears primarily in ivory colors with mystical markings that glow brighter with each increasing intensity of attack.
PersonalityA few years ago, Sakiko Akazawa was the average girl from Miso City— idealistic, cheerful, and optimistic. But in the time since the ever-smiling exterior of Sakiko has shifted into ingenuity; as if behind her now half-hearted smile exists a girl who is burdened by life and the consequences of the world she lives in. A case that is definitely true. In the present day, Sakiko is more of a cynical realist who looks to everyone with a gaze of distrust and wary discontent; a fact that has isolated her completely from her former friends despite the intent of some of her more determined friends trying to attempt to see Sakiko’s turn towards cynicism, anxiety, and distrust reversed as they miss the girl they knew before tragedy consumed her. Intentions that whilst noble (albeit a bit selfish) have not resulted in any notable change in Sakiko yet.
Beyond Sakiko’s cynicism, angst, dread, and other pessimistic traits there is still the same person there was before her sister’s murder occurred in some part. Her confident bravado, sense of humor, and dedication to what she cares about is all still very present. Though some of these traits have been twisted by her experiences as a mahou shojo as evident by her streak of overbearing arrogance in not only her role as a mahou shojo but in her day-to-day mundane life. As she moves forward in her life she feels weary of her attachments to her “old self” however, a fact that she reflects on daily as she remembers it was Sakiko before the contract was the one who failed her sister and needed the powers she so desired that have burdened her since.
But despite the burdens placed upon her shoulders, Sakiko is not hopeless in that the world can be changed or protected— she just has misgivings about who she is protecting and their own sinful souls that reside behind a facade of innocence; because there are few who are truly innocent. Even then, Sakiko has sworn not only through her contract but to herself that she would protect others from a fate they don’t deserve, that senseless loss and death will not be accepted by her hands. Unlike her peers in The Order she does not have a desire to reverse her “curse” but rather come to terms with it and use her accursed fate to protect others as well as punish the guilty. Sakiko considers her role as a mahou shojo to be that of a forsaken lawbringer; one who has to live with their curse for the betterment of others. It is because of this that sometimes Sakiko considers herself truly unaffiliated with either faction in truth.
Bio For the majority of Sakiko Akazawa’s life Sakiko has known tragedy one way or another, but up until recently she hasn’t really been affected by it. Born in Miso City to a police detective, Hitachi, and a educator, Hiromi, Sakiko was never meant to have an exuberant lifestyle that was handed to her on a silver platter— but she always had her family and her friends. Responsibility and death were frequent throughout her childhood as the grandfather that taught her archery died when she was nine and her mother lost her own life to a car accident when she was eleven; events that she pushed herself through for the sake of her sister, Kyoko.
But all of that changed when her sister was murdered whilst she was visiting a friend from school. For it was then that the universe and humanity seemed to reveal their true nature to her. The daughter of a cop, Sakiko did some investigating independently as her grief turned into rage and when the investigations led to the culprit Sakiko would soon begin to see that the truly evil sometimes got away with what they wanted if evidence was deemed circumstantial or some other factor. She wanted a better conclusion for her sister than that; she knew in her heart she deserved justice. Sakiko wished for it. She wished very hard.
And somehow… her wish was heard.
Sakiko joined a contract with a being and became a mahou shojo; a mahou shojo of justice. But it was with this wish that things turned… darker, harsher, and problematic. Things she would learn down the line.
