[OOC] Divided We Stand

@AbandonedIntel no matter what we give you, it's gonna be long xD a lot of shit has happened since Carmen left. LOL.

But I guess in simpler terms. Carmen left Saturday, 10/01. That's when the Heroes Only Party was thrown. She left during the afternoon. Prior to shit hitting the fan. At the party, Gianna made Sam cry. But it's very convoluted and both Queens are to blame. Gia and Sam are the apparent chess pieces. The two queens. With those that follow them. There are also those who haven't decided. And those who choose to stay on the sidelines. We roleplayed the morning after, where war was officially declared. And it's not just any small war. These girls are serious and people have a high chance of getting hurt (death is a possibility but not at the moment). Every move matters. A lot of plotting has been happening.

Fast forward to current day. Tuesday 10/11. The end of vacation. Some students received an email the day before that they were selected to participate in the upcoming tournament "Mayweather Sixteen: Tournament of the Champions". There is also a Winter Formal Dance Committee Meeting that happened at the same time. Students got the lowdown of the tournament and the winter formal. Now it's night time. Gianna decided to have a night out with her friends at a nightclub called Delirium owned by a notorious Mafia family (that consist of a bunch of shadowmancers and necromancers). Word travels fast. Some Mayweathers want to crash it like Gianna did at the Heroes only party. Some students are observing and 'maintaining' the peace. But lets be honest, if anyone acts out of line in an actual establishment created by villains... they'll die. Others just want to have a good time out. Then there is Eliana who was brought there unknowingly and is on the guest list... she doesn't know why. She is confused. And drunk. Blame her sister.

Basically. A bunch of college kids are in a 21 + club and surprisingly didn't have that hard of a time gettinng in. I mean it's not a walk in the park to get in the club. But there are ways. It's a villains place, after all. They want money. If you're underage, they ain't responsible for you. They'll just kick you out or worst, bring you to the top floor of the club that no one is allowed on (it's locked) :X

Ultimately. This is me giving my own self a break from life drama and making my characters lose their inhibitions for just one night. Minus Gianna. She wants to watch people and be amused.

@lovely complex Ah okay, thanks for the information! Because I'm bored and I actually want to participate this time, I'm gonna see if I can get Carmen to enter the club. If not, I'll just have her return to Mayweather or something.

Again, thank you very much. I'll try to catch up the best I can so I won't end up looking like an idiot upon re-entry! lol And... it's great to be back. :) It's sad that Hippocamp is gone though, looks like Carmen's gonna have to make new friends. lol

EDIT: Once I make my post, feel free to put Carmen back into the list, and add Rosario Dawson back to the FC list. If it isn't too much trouble, of course ^//_//^;

SO, I edited the collab post just a bit to explain why Anya thinks it's Gia's birthday plus I really need her to get super confused on the actual day of Gia's party like--

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S HER BIRTHDAY?? HOW DOES ONE HAVE TWO BIRTHDAYS??"

@AbandonedIntel it might be hard to fit Carmen into the tournament. Primarily because this is a highly selected tournament. You came back a tad bit too late. I had opened the rp to others and we made the story work with replacing npcs (character drops outs) for the tourney with new people/writers/characters.

I like to keep the story realistic so what we did was have a student fuck up the school system which literally took some people out, and swapped others in.

I already had two meetings. One with the original selected tournament participants and one with the newly replacements.

I think it might be best if Carmen sat on the sidelines with the Queens and watch the surroundings just in case... some other forces want to intervene with the battles.

A lot of the students that are participating are people I thought who could take something out from a battle with certain people. Basically I'm thinking about this more story-wise, if that makes sense.

Carmen kinda gives me that older, wiser feel.

While I did not want the Queens to be part of the battles due to how high targeted they are.

I do want some people on the benches watching. Because no one knows what I have planned.

But what Carmen could do, if you want, is offer her services to Mrs. Lovelace's. By services, I mean perhaps Carmen can prove to Lovelace that she can handle being a referee of some sort. There's options for non-participants to be involved. But I won't say if that's plausible or not, because you as a writer would have to convince me and my teacher NPC via negotiations. Mrs. Lovelace is open minded once you gain her trust.

But yeah, I'd prefer if Carmen stood on the sidelines. Plus, she can observe her fellow students in action while eavesdrop on people sitting near her (the Queens)

And I can't fault you for that one bit, I try my best to keep everything streamlined too when I do my own RPs. I really hate using "handwavium" for anything, really. :)

Thinking about it, that is actually a much better idea. Considering Carmen's powers (slow-mo reflexes and enhanced senses), as well as her neutrality to both Mayweather and Delphina, it would make sense for her to be a referee if anything. And yeah, I'll see what I can do in regards to that. Considering what Elijah Masterson is doing as well, I could probably get him involved in it too (if you two are cool with it, of course ^//_//^;).

Thank you very much for your response though... and the much better idea! lol And if not a referee, she'll do good on the sidelines anyway.

@AbandonedIntel At this point, yes relationship sheets are redundant and most of us already know who we are closely tied to xD - so I TOO removed Ellie's sheet but have it in my character thread. I'm farrrr too lazy to add more relationships at this point in the game.
