(And seriously shouldn't answer questions directed towards the GM in any case - this is the one warning concerning that.) Jahosafat is not a replacement character for Finger. He was developed for two purposes. One as a running gag with Foy. Two, the larger picture, was for a specific role of Researcher. (Which was a listed role on the Retribution at the beginning. One that serves a plot point purpose for part of the RP long running. Since no one took the researcher role, I was going to have to make the character anyways.)

On an unrelated subject, I've realized the 'nurse' dude I keep referring to would probably have all the training and experience of a combat medic. The question is, is nurse a good word to refer to him? Is there a better word?

@Peaceless I said it once, I will say it again - It would do you well not to assume the worst with me.

As far as the skills of the nurse - that is not something you will have to worry about or can decide. Remember NPC's as far as skills, what they know, and what they can do is a GM controlled thing. The only character any Rper has control of fully or needs to worry about the skills is their personal one. For Rpers here, NPC's only can do basically be used to add a bit quick context. (Example - hands over general equipment, stowing gear, so forth.)

Now, what to call him - Nurse. Just an LN. No Combat Medic or EMT training or experience. So he will be able to at most provide basic nursing care, monitor patient vital signs, and report changes in a patient's status to Finger.

@Lady Amalthea No EMT training? Wouldn't it be useful though? I'm thinking ship-wise. As far as nurses go, there is a huge difference between regular nurses and ER nurses. And the ship does house combat forces.

Up to you, of course. I'm going to keep using 'nurse'.
