~Ritsa & Cynthia~

Immediately upon hearing Mugi in any amounts of distress, the maids head turned swiftly to the Yuki-Onna and walked over. Her first thought was -

"Adorable"

The second was, that whoever had upset her sweet was going to die. Painfully. And slowly. But first, her sweet little Mugi needed comforting. Reaching over, Cynthia rest a hand on her head, before pulling her into a light hug. She of course, had overheard the exchange that had happened. "...it's okay, my sweet." She turned her head to Ritsa.

"...perhaps we shall have a larger fish for dinner tonight?"

This caused a visible shiver to go up the Hydra's spine, but not from cold. No, no, the Hydra moved closer to Fia and latched onto her friend, giving the maid a somewhat scared seeming frown.

~Miren~

"Fomorians...?" Miren's eyes furrowed. "W-well, Fomorians don't really have much in the way of legendary swords. Depending on sources, an ancient god from the area by the name of Manannan mac Lir was considered the king of them...he had a sword by the name of Fragarach, but it was given to his adopted son according to legends..." Miren spouted a few facts in a somewhat uncertain voice as she tried to recall what she had read and studied.

"Uhm, but if you're here researching Kitsune and Inari - you're in luck. Someone was here asking about that earlier. I already gave them quite a bit on the subject. It could be beneficial to both of you to possibly study together..." Miren said with a grin, motioning for Sel to follow her. If she did, she'd take the mage to where Kozue was working.

~Sorcha~

Of course, Sorcha had ordered a rather large amount of food as usual...and was once again promptly deprived of some of it due to her servant. The dragon pouted in her usual fashion, but ultimately didn't complain too much. She was happily chewing on a turkey leg in a somewhat undignified manner when Moain poised her question. For a few seconds the dragon looked at her expectantly, as if she was waiting for a more in depth explanation of what she was asking.

"...erm, what about it, Little one?"

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

Mugi rested her head on Cynthia's shoulder as soon as they embraced. Mugi slipped her arms around the maid's midsection and sniffled a couple of times. That is, until the maid made a comment about larger fish. "Don't scare her Cynthiiiiaaaaaaaa." Mugi complained as she pulled her head back to look her lover in the eyes. "I don't want her to hate us." She put on a cute little pouty face, though she was still sniffling so it wasn't very believable. "She's a cute child, though honesty can sting like a bee. The utter honesty of a child can be too much, but we must not hate them for it." Mugi leaned in again and hugged the maid, "Thank you though." She whispered in the maid's ear with her chilled breath.

Kozue Komichi

Kozue had learned plenty of methods she could go about. None of them were particularly easy, effective or moral. She couldn't really figure out which would be the best to go about. Perhaps a temporary solution might be in order. If that were the case, she could at least converse with the fox to figure out what they should do. That is, until Miren came over with someone familiar. "You're that mage. Selvina, was it?" She found this one to be. . . Odd. Something about her wasn't right. She wasn't a bad person, but she wasn't a good one either. "What are you doing here? Though, I suppose you came to read books of some sort."

Selvina frowned slightly as she observed the bunny explain that she wasn't too sure about the formorians. A small pout formed across her lips, but at the news of someone else studying the fox? That was useful at least.

Of course, it was ... Kozue. The holder of the white fox spirit. The mage raised an eyebrow, somewhat curious about why the spirit itself would have questions about its own nature. "Thank you, Miren." The mage lowered herself into a chair across from the priestess and picked up one of the books on the table and responded absentmindedly. "Likely doing the same thing you are. I suppose you can't tell me anything about my own familiar, can you?" Didn't Inari curse the creatures somehow? Selvina wasn't too big of a fan about the entire situation either after seeing the horrendous scarring running across Sly's body.

"Well uh you know ya seem to like Luna and all and errr ..." Why was her hair suddenly so interesting? The girl continued somewhat nervously. "... you obviously like playing around and umm ... I'm your servant so ... you know ... your my mistress and ... orders ..." The kitten put her fingers together as she asked her question, praying that one of the highbeams would crush her before she had to explain herself or Lady Sorcha explained herself.

Fia hadn't been paying attention to most of their conversation, instead still holding out the fish that Cynthia had and wondering why the hydra was latching onto her like her life depended on it. "Fish?" The phoenix set the box of fish onto the counter where the maid would be able to find it before looking over at Ritsa with a slight smile. "... are you ... okay ...?"

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

Cynthia shivered slightly, but it wasn't exactly a bad sort of feeling for her. She still looked towards Ritsa, glaring slightly but ultimately doing nothing. She simply sighed, releasing Mugi and returning to her work. On the way back over to the counter, Cynthia passed by Fia, causing the Hydra to use the redhead as a shield between her and the maid.

"Scary maid." Ritsa replied. Cynthia harrumphed, but said nothing and instead focused on her duties.

"Fia, plates. Utensils. Now, please. Retrieve some vegetables as well as some cooking oil from the pantry, please."

~Sorcha~

Sorcha gave the kitten a dumbfounded look. She wasn't entirely certain what the kitten was trying to suggest here.

"Erm, yes...I like Luna and you are my servant." Sorcha replied, not entirely sure where this conversation was going. "And yes, she is quite fun to tease, Little One. But most people tend to be quite fun to tease." She took a drink of ale before continuing. "I am not sure what you're getting at, Little one. There has been nothing between Luna and I, if that is what your previous statement about sex and this is asking. She is simply fun to tease, and well, she is someone I value as my equal. Rare as they may be, most people who are my equal tend to be on the receiving end of my teasing."

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

Mugi couldn't help but smile at Cynthia as she went back to work. She then made her wave over to Ritsa and lowered herself a bit. She went out to pet Ritsa's head but caught herself before she got close and retracted. "I'm sorry about Cynthia. She's just a bit protective. Oh, but I do love that about her." The Yuki-Onna added with a giggle. "But, I'm sorry if I scared you. I didn't think you'd be bad to my touch." She was a cute girl either way.

Kozue Komichi

"What do you mean specifically?" Kozue asked, "The fact that she shouldn't have the freedom to walk around as she is? That she 'killed' her sister? That she took power from Yomi?" Most of those were reason enough her movements restricted, but somehow these people convinced the White Fox inside of her to let the Black Fox leave on the condition she was contracted. "Actually, I thought you mages could have only one contracted being. Was that hound not contracted to you? She seemed fairly devoted to protecting you at the temple."

Selvina shook her head. "No, Eith is not contracted to me. She was simply living at my place but I think I must have angered her. Do you have any idea where she is?" The mage also used this opportunity to steer the conversation away from Sly - it was rather clear the monk-priestess did not think of Sly in any sort of pleasant way. The books would likely be better for figuring out things regarding that subject.

Not very surprising, considering the woman contained the spirit of the white fox really. But the mage had decided to trust the black fox which meant letting her go free under the conditions of anyone who held her complete trust. It was a little unnerving, but the fox hadn't been opposed to being held at least so that was a development.

The kitten put her fingers together as she wasn't given the answer to the question she was trying to ask. "... I ... I ... I meant about me. Us ..." Maoin felt like drowning herself at this point, and pointedly looked everywhere but the direction of Lady Sorcha as her tail swished around to add to her expression of emotion.

Fia looked back at the hydra, shrugged, and would continue about the kitchen tasks as directed. The phoenix wasn't exactly sure what was upsetting the child aside from Cynthia being Cynthia, but hadn't the maid given her a massage recently? Didn't the girl understand that no matter how standoffish and awkward she was that she was here to serve them? Fia looked towards Ritsa with a smile. "... it is okay ...."

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

"Cold." Ritsa replied simply to Mugi. "Cold bad." It seemed at least, the Hydra had a natural aversion to the cold for whatever reason. It was likely she wasn't afraid of Mugi, but rather whatever cold she used. In most of her life, she had always spent her time near the surface of the oceans, never to travel far below towards the darker, colder depths. The Hydra was never fond of dark places, let alone of cold things...well, save for Gwynn's ice.

As Fia worked around the kitchen, Cynthia continued preparing their meal. Salt, knives, lettuce, tomatoes, grapes. It would be a fairly extravagant meal, indeed.

~Sorcha~

"I am still not quite sure I understand, little one." Sorcha replied, a serious expression falling on the kitten. "You are my servant. I have no intentions of doing things such as that with you. I am not sure if you are aware, but most dragons typically mate for life. In this case...it would be Luna currently."

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

A somewhat somber look came over the Yuki-Onna's face. "A-aahhh. . . I see." Her eyes dodged the hydra's glance. "I... I'm sorry for being such a cold woman." She cooly said, heading back to her papers and getting back to work. She was just a cute girl who spoke her mind. Just. . . No! Nonono. Back to paperwork.

Kozue Komichi

Kozue just looked at Selvina, curious why she didn't know where she was. "It looks like she lives here. You should probably talk to the rabbit about it." Kozue didn't really give the mage a chance to do anything as she looked back to the rabbit-girl and called out to her. "Miren, the mage wants to know where that hound is. She wants to know where she is." It probably wasn't the way Selvina wanted to go about it at all.

The mage looked at Kouze, raising an eyebrow after a couple of seconds of staring. Here? At a bookstore? That truthfully seemed like a nightmare for poor Eith - why would she choose to live here? Before Selvina could politely approach Miren after choosing what words to say the priestess already took the spotlight and did that task for her. The noble let out a slight pout, but otherwise didn't complain to the foreign woman.

Instead, she looked towards Miren if she approached. "Yes, I'm afraid I upset Eith a couple of days ago and she hasn't been back to my place since then. I'm not exactly sure why but I just wanted to make sure she was alright."

Maoin let out a small sigh after Lady Sorcha finished conveying her response. The servant looked around for a couple of seconds and then nodded. She wasn't sure if she was disappointed, confused, or comfortable with that. Belonging to Lady Gwynn had never gotten in the way of such activities, but of course that hadn't gone so well. Maybe that was for the best?

The dragoness would see several thoughts run across the kitten's face as she seemed to think about the implications of what was said, but a slow nod followed afterwards. "... I ... I can sleep on top of ... the cabinet then, if you get me a nice crate." After a couple of seconds the cat surprisingly decided to try teasing her mistress. "After all, I want my owner to have as much room as she needs to pounce on Lady Lightsword. Yep!"

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

"Fia!" Cynthia sharply turned her attention to the phoenix. "Prepare the lettuce. We are making a salad." Cynthia pointed to a head of lettuce. "Salt, pepper, spices and set some dishes out on the table." She continued to work, gutting and preparing the fish while she talked. She tried to make quick work of it, so as to at least not disturb either of the children.

Despite Ritsa's initial reaction, the child was curious after all and she couldn't really bring herself to really be afraid of Mugi...just the fact that she was extremely cold to the touch. The hydra inched her way over to the Yuki-Onna, staring at her intensely, as if trying to figure out how she should deal with this person.

~Sorcha~

"I will have none of that." Sorcha replied curtly. This was obviously a somewhat touchy subject for the kitten - it was easy to tell for the dragon at least. She wasn't born yesterday. "The sleeping arrangements will not change as I and Luna have no intention of doing anything like that." She continued, sighing and shaking her head. "Little One, I am unsure how you think sometimes." Truthfully, the way the kitten behaved baffled the dragon completely sometimes.

~Miren~

"Did ya get it?" From a few shelves over, a familiar voice could be heard by Kozue and Sel.

"Yep, got it. Bunny buns doesn't even know we're here." There was an impish giggle followed by the sound of someone quickly flipping through the pages of some book.

"This'll be great. It's gonna be the best festival ever, eheh!"

"I'm sorry, what was that about bunny buns not being here?"

"Ack! It's the book police!"

"Quick, flee my cohort! Take the goods with you!"

"Not without you, my dear accomplice!"

"But you must! One of us must stay behind to hold off the police!"

"No, I refuse to leave you my adorable demon!"

"...what are uhm, you two even doing?"

"Whaaha, you can't get us keeper of books! For we have already used our ultimate plan! Lyssa used distraction, it was super effective!"

"W-wait there's a perfectly good door!"

There was the sound of one of the windows in front of the shop being shattered along with the giggling of Lyssa and Ayumi as they bolted away from the store. A few seconds later, Miren rounded the corner of the bookshelves looking more than a little distraught.

"...This little bunny bun feels violated for some reason." She whined slightly. "Ahh, that's going to cost so much money to repaaaair. I'll have to take out the whole window and then track down that book they took." She frowned, shaking her head as her ears drooped. "Aaah, if I see them again this little bunny bun is going to put her buns to work and kick their buns..." She turned her head towards Kozue. "But erm...Eith is upstairs, probably waiting for me to finish work."

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

Mugi felt the intense stares at her. This Hydra. . . Did she hate Mugi and want to eat her? Nonono. That couldn't be it. She was just a cute and innocent child that dislikes being cold! Of course! "C-can I help you?" She asked Ritsa as she turned to look at the hydra. She really didn't want to concern Cynthia with the issue again, "Do you n-need something?" She asked nervously, almost hating the answer she might get.

Kozue Komichi

Kozue heard the clatter and made her way over. She thought she recognized the voices, but she had to be sure. "Ayumi, what in the world are you doing?" She asked, right as the two busted through a window and made a run for it. Seriously, were they that adverse to paying that they'd fall to petty thievery. Kozue hated that someone would steal from such a bunny, but for someone from her own temple? Inexcusable. Almost ignoring what Miren was about to say Kozue put a hand on the bunny's shoulder, "As an apology for what my kin has done, allow me to retrieve the book for you." With that, Kozue busted out the window the two already broke and gave chase. They were fast, but so was Kozue.

Meanwhile, the door to the upstairs portion of the building opened with a drowsy dog-girl rubbing her eyes. "Bunny, what happened down here? Did someone break a glass. Or a lot of them?" She made it down the stairs trying to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes. She didn't even notice Selvina just sitting there.

Selvina watched mayhem unfold in the store as Lyssa and Ayumi - not currently embodying the black fox - happily ran from the store after breaking through the window and giving chase. The mage gave the bunny an apologetic look and waved her wand around twice and muttered a few words at the broken shards, the pieces lifting into the air and gradually placing themselves back into their original places and sealing together. A simple repair spell useful for quills and such.

The noble gave the bunny an apologetic look. "I'm surprised they didn't cut themselves to shreds doing that. You'll still need some sealant around the edges though to be replaced." As she heard Eith's voice however the mage turned her head in the puppy's direction, waving hello. "Hi Eith ... Lyssa and Ayumi from the trip broke into the store and stole a book. Kozue is in hot pursuit though."

Though of course, it'd be hotter with Eith along, wouldn't it?

Maoin put her fingers together again, giving Lady Sorcha a weak smile. "Of-of course Mistress. Apologies for being a silly kitten." If she wanted to keep talking, it would have to wait for later. It was likely Lady Luna could be returning from the bathroom. "Any orders, Lady Sorcha?" Truthfully Maoin would jump off a cliff at this point if it meant avoiding thinking of that horrendously awkward conversation again.

Fia worked rather slowly, although not intentionally. She had never really been in a kitchen aside from a couple of times in her dreams, and trying to find all of these items was rather confusing. That would likely be clear to Cynthia as the girl wondered around, trying to follow the maid's directions before her anger was incited.

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

Ritsa simply continued to stare at Mugi for more silent minutes before finally saying something.

"Cold bad." The hydra eyebrows furrowed as she asked a question. "Why cold? Not ice or deep water."

"The pans are in the cabinet. Bottom shelf." Occasionally, as she worked, the maid would direct Fia to where the utensils and other items needed were. While it was quite certain that Cynthia likely had a short tolerance for horseplaying and shenanigans, it was clear to the maid Fia didn't know what she was doing. Thus, she would teach. "Spices and other similar are on the spice rack near the oven."

~Sorcha~

"None come to mind, Little one." The dragon replied. "...if I may ask though, why is this particular subject difficult for you, hm?" The dragon asked. "There is no shame or awkwardness in asking me about such a thing." She continued with a soft smile. "Granted, I do not think you should have had too considering as a servant you should have no such desires towards your master. It will only cloud your judgement." Ah...perhaps that was a bit too much to say.

~Miren~

"...aaah, why can't you people just use the door?" Miren sighed. Well, at least she hadn't leapt through the other window. She offered a grateful smile towards Sel before turning her head towards Eith. "Hey Eith. Just some...erm, rowdy guests is all. Nothing to be concerned with. Sleep well?"

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

Why cold? Well, Mugi wasn't too surprised this little thing didn't know what a Yuki-Onna was. "I'm cold because, well, I'm a Yuki-Onna or in your tongue "Snow Woman" I believe. As you don't like the cold, we don't like the heat. We're just a people that are cold really. Some even say we'll melt in the heat." It probably was a bit much for the girl, but Mugi hoped she understood.

Eith

Eith instantly woke up as she saw Selvina. Her eyes narrowed and she took a slightly aggressive stance. "Why do you come now, why are you here." It was less a question and more an order. She was quite obviously not very happy to see her "care-taker" now. Perhaps had she come a day or two earlier Eith would have been more responsive. Her mood was so fouled that she didn't hardly take notice of the bunny's question.

Selvina frowned as it seemed Eith was very upset here. Thinking about the previous interaction the girl remembered how irritated the hound had been when she hadn't been addressed immediately in her room. Bunny could wait then. "I was here shopping, and asked where you were. If I had this conversation on my terms, I would have returned here after buying a couple of pounds of brisket." Food really was the way to Eith's heart, obviously. "I've been awfully busy these past couple of days but I figured you were doing alright ... I wasn't sure why you stormed down, but I thought it would be better to let things cool down - in the metaphorical sense - between us."

Maoin's ears dropped. Was Lady Sorcha upset with her for asking her ... or even for her actions with her previous owner? "I apologize Lady Sorcha." Of course, she still needed to answer the why. "I ... my previous mistress often had me serve in other ways as well." Though those hadn't really been orders, and certainly not one sided. "... and ... y'know ... it's been a few weeks ..." The cat shifted uncomfortably in her seat and seemed to focus on her meal and NOT think about that conversation. Was this the real reason why her and Lady Gwynn had split up? Should she have ignored or put down her own feelings?

She hoped Lady Sorcha wouldn't chastise her for this, though she wouldn't be surprised if she did.

Fia gradually seemed to pick up on the locations of various items within the kitchen until all the items waited before Cynthia, ready to be used. Ritsa and Mugi were largely ignored as the phoenix worked to the behest of her own maid.

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

A-ah?! She'd melt in the heat? That wasn't good! This place wasn't exactly hot, but it was far from cold. Ritsa didn't want to see this 'Yuki-Onna' melt. That'd be sad! Without a word, Ritsa tugged on Mugi's dress, careful of actually touching her completely. The hydra tugged hard, likely enough to get her attention - or at least she'd use her natural strength to pull the Yuki Onna right towards the ice room.

"Don't melt." Ritsa said, giving the Yuki Onna a somewhat distressed look.

~Sorcha~

"Well, it is not my place to comment on your previous masters or your own dealings in private." The dragon replied with a sigh. Come to think of it...this hadn't been the first time the kitten had mentioned something about this, had it? "Little one...if you wish to find someone to spend a night with then I certainly won't stop you." The dragon continued. "I understand - as long as you do not forget that you are still my servant, I care not for what you get up to in your spare time."

~Miren~

The little bunny had no idea what was going on, nope. Not at all. With a sigh, Miren moved back over to the shelves that Ayumi and Lyssa had made a mess of and started cleaning, though she kept her ears out in case she was needed. Those to maybe needed some time along to discuss whatever it was that needed discussing anyways.

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

"I'm not going to melt! I just get a bit sick if I get too hot!" Trying to fight what the little hydra was doing, Mugi braced herself. "I'll be fine like this." When ever the hydra stopped pulling, Mugi would compose herself and almost go to pat Ritsa on the head, before remembering what happened the last time. She merely smiled at the girl, "You're a good, caring girl aren't you?"

Eith

"Too busy?" Eith questioned, her aggression changing to pure irritation. Her flesh reddened and a fire seemed to appear in her eyes. "Yes, you must be too busy trying to mate with that one you were to be one with." She grew redder and redder as the sentence continued. "Or perhaps with that fox you adopted. Yo--" But went absolutely silent after that. All the color disappeared, well, all the redness. "..." She seemed like everything just shut down, before she seemed to come to and calmly started speaking again in a dull monotone.

"You... This one finds you distressing, and uncaring. The entirety of this could have been avoided. However, you decided to push off this one. How daft you are." She was being fairly vague, rather, if this were Eith at all. "Would it that you could see past yourself and that arrogance... The arrogance similar to that which led them to their downfall." With that, Eith went absolutely silent again.

Soon enough, a fire came to her eyes again and she muttered, "...u have that servant bring it..." The Shellagh seemed a bit dazed, her speech was a bit slurred. "And I'll continue my deal of not harming. . . Huma--" With that, she collapsed face first on the floor, unless someone caught her.

"E-Eith?" Selvina had been worried for her own health as the hound began to get angry as her cheeks became more and more inflamed. As the color disappeared though, the mage looked on in surprise on how she lost her anger so quickly. The stunned mage reached forward to catch the falling Eith but failed to grasp her as she collapsed - she had never been much of an athlete, but overall the hound would probably be alright. She healed from wounds very quickly after all.

The mage looked up at Miren as she cradled the girl's head in her arms. This didn't seem like the standard overheating procedure. "Go get someone to help!" The mage ordered. "Find a nurse or someone!"

"Y-you won't be upset?" Maoin looked at Lady Sorcha with a bit more doubt then what she intended. A lot of masters liked to have control of their pets in many ways, and even those who said they wouldn't mind - such as Lady Gwynn - certainly did mind. The kitten simply had her doubts about the dragoness not being upset at all about that sort of circumstance - although Lady Sorcha seemed far more effective at delivering her emotions.

She'd still try to avoid humans due to obvious complications with loyalty between two people of equivalent rank ... but who would even be interested? Maoin pulled herself away from her natural curiosity and leaned towards Lady Sorcha. "You'll still pet me Mistress?" The kitten gave a slight pout and let her tail go back in forth in hopes she'd be given a nice massage on her head.

~Ritsa & Cynthia~

"Ehe. Being praised?" Ritsa replied with a grin. "Nice person...cold, but nice. Don't want to see get hurt." Seeing Mugi hadn't quite melted yet, or was even remotely sick the Hydra's concern seemed to evaporate immediately. Eventually, Cynthia with the help of Fia would finish preparing dinner for everyone in the villa.

~Sorcha~

"Tsk, of course. Such a silly question." The dragon replied with a smile, reaching out and giving her a good petting between her ears. "It is not my business as to what my servants do in their free time. As I said, so long as they work for me...they remember who their first priority should be. That is me, of course." The dragon pulled her hand back from the kittens head, giving her a poke on the nose as she leaned back in her chair and took another chug of the alcohol.

"Now, I think that is quite enough for today, hm? Once Luna returns from the restroom we should head back. I may have...exerted myself slightly too much earlier."

~Miren~

Miren heard it before it happened. The rabbit easily noticed the change in Eith's usual tone and demeanor, and was already hopping over to see what was wrong before Eith hit the floor.

"E-eith! A-ah, o-oh uhm. Right okay. Calm down, Selvina." Miren hopped over to Eith, and in a surprisingly forceful fashion shooed Selvina away a few feet. "Pulse is good," The rabbit knelt next to the hound, placing a hand on her forehead and on her wrist to check her vitals. "She's...burning up. Moreso than usual." Miren's eyes narrowed. "Help me get her upstairs, now." The rabbit replied continued. "I may not be a doctor in the medical sense, but I read and I know how to keep a fever down."

Mugi the Yuki-Onna

"Ohhh, you are just so sweet I want to hug you." Mugi said. This little Hydra girl was just too adorable really! "Oh! But, I won't since you really don't want to be cold. I'll be careful." The Snow Woman said before turning to Cynthia and Fia when they were finished with the food. It looked good! Of course it did. Her lovely maid-lover made it, well, with the help from that one girl that seemed to always have a dire look on her face. "Oh my, it looks delicious. A little hot, but that's fixable!" She could quickly fix that issue.

Eith

Eith stood in a wide black void. There was little around aside her and a giant odd rune-like symbol in the middle of the area. She looked around but alas, there was little for her to see. Then, voices echoed. "Hardly an issue, there's no way it can break." A male voice echoed, it seemed... Familiar.

"Please, it'll break eventually." Another voice said, though, it didn't echo like the other. It felt more internal to the Shellagh.

Another voice called, different from the first, but unmistakeably male. "Yes, I agree. The safety locks should keep it as is. I'll be too happy when we get to look it in the face and give it orders." He seemed confident enough.

"And I when I rip yours off." Another voice said. It was. . . Female. Of sorts. There was a great distortion to it so it was hard to tell.

"So, the horde is under control then?" The first voice asked, assumably to the second.

"Indeed my friend! So long as we have this one, the rest will follow it! It's easy. Never thought we had a way to make an easy army. Well, it wasn't amazingly easy, but it's not like we had to become Lords or anything." The second said.

"It's hardly easy when you lose most of your friends in the attempt."

"Wonderful. You go lock it up physically then. I think we're done messing with the mental issues for now."

"Sounds good. I'll look at the horde and see what they're like."

"Hey! It's not really a horde now, more like a pack." With that, both of the men laughed their fill as the two voices faded, as if gone from existence.

"How long do you think it's possible to keep this as is? This will be the end of you both."

Eith struggled, as if having great issues in her unconscious state. Her face showed signs of distress, as if having a sort of nightmare.

As Meowka woke, it would have been later in the day than when she went to sleep. Aside that, she might notice something else. She wasn't on the floor. Instead, she was a bit higher than that with something brushing through her hair. No, even beyond that, her head rested on something. . . A lap? If she moved, she'd hear a voice come from above her. "Oh, are you awake? You were sleeping so nicely and I needed to take a break so I had the dolls move you here. Hope you're not too irritated. Ready to eat now?"
