Selvina thought about Eiths words, her obvious nightmares, and the strange behavior as a whole. Though when the former librarian responded to her with orders in turn the noble paused for a moment and then obeyed, lifting up whatever portion of Eith she was directed to. "The couple of times that happened with me it was some sort of ... reset?" It was hard to describe how her memory ended being wiped.

It was obvious the mages voice was sick with concern as she assisted Miren with the lifting of Eith.

Meowka's dreams seemed entirely pleasant as she dreamed of receiving nice petting from her mistress. Eventually she returned to the real world, but after she blinked a couple of times she realized a different mistress was petting her. For a couple of seconds the cat seemed confused as she took a look around the room - but she wasn't panicking. For a few moments the prowler of the night enjoyed the pettings until she deemed it was necessary to give off a nice, long and pleasant stretch.

Of course, the woman asked her a question. Leaving her head on Katherine's lap she gave a happy smile. "Yeeeessss!" The cat was still stretching a bit. "So what are the dolls bringing me?" The cat hadn't moved from her spot, indicating that she expected the food to be brought to her so she wouldn't have to move.

~Miren~

Seeing Eith struggling, Miren began to worry.

As she knelt next to the hound, the rabbit frowned, wrapping her arms around the hound and lifting her slightly off the ground. It'd be bad to move her in this state at the moment - but she couldn't let her stay on the floor. With Sel's help, they managed to get her upstairs and to her own bed. Once there, she turned to Sel.

"E-erm, you're free to stay if you wish, but could you go downstairs and change the sign to closed? I'm going to be taking the rest of the day off." Instead, she'd do what she'd do best. Be an adorable little bunny bun. So while the hound was still having apparent nightmares, she'd comfort the hound. Sitting next to the edge of the bed, she wrapped the hound in a tight, but comforting hug and rest a hand on her head.

"Shh," Her voice was gentle and quiet. "It's okay, Eith."

Eith

"What is this? They thought they could break me? This is nothing." The distorted female voice said, confident in her words. So it seemed at least. That much Eith could tell.

After a couple of minutes, the voice appeared again. This time however, it was greatly distressed. "N-no. What is this? T-this madness? Are they not my own anymore? Why?" Eith felt completely uneasy. As if a sense of defeat flew through her. Then the voice made itself known again. "Where are... No, what is there to do?" She seemed less distressed. Less overall worried. More like she had work to do.

In her unconscious state, Eith began to mutter inane nothing. She seemed to struggle less though.

Katherine Lindall

"You'll see when they get here... Soonish." Katherine said as she continued brushing her hand through the cat's hair. She was enjoying this as much as she could really. "And it's for both of us, you know?" Katherine had to say. Her free hand poked the cat in the cheek as she asked as well.

Selvina followed the instructions, a little sick with worry. Her voice had changed mid conversation before she passed out. Was that her speaking? Her subconscious? Some other being infesting her mind? And ... had she really been uncaring? It had only been a couple of days, hadn't it?

She flipped the sign around and quietly took steps up a staircase, looking about the room before leaving and returning once more with some of the books. She wasn't sure how long this was going to last, but she wouldn't leave until Eith woke up. She assumed the hound had been fine - she would have returned if she had been in distress, wouldn't she?

The girl flipped open one of the book's many pages and began reading as she playing the waiting game with a little distance away from the other two.

The cat gave off a slight mew in irritation, reaching out with one of her paws to lazily bat away the assaulting hand as it touched her cheek. It was for her as well? Well, obviously she'd need to eat in order to continue her pettings, wouldn't she? Meowka purred contently as she was petted, pulling herself onto Miss Katherine in a manner that would make it even more difficult for her to be pried off. "Mmmmeeeewwwwww - meewwww dress?" The cat wasn't sure if it was finished, but it was pretty and different from anything she'd normally get to wear.

It was good that Eith was struggling less, at least. With a sigh, Miren sat up and turned her head over towards Selvina.

"Selvnia...go get some water! Ice cold." She wasn't sure if it'd help Eith since she wasn't entirely certain on her physiology, not completely at least...but she had to do something. Also there was a good chance Eith would want something to eat once she woke up. "And go get something to eat!" She wasn't leaving Eith's side though, not until the hound woke or she stopped struggling entirely. She nuzzled the hounds cheek with her own affectionately, hoping that whatever this was was just a momentary fainting spell.

Eith

"Merely a shell of the former self. Cute, but. . . depressingly dull." The voice said again after a long time of silence. It felt like a long time to Eith. There was no way to tell time in this weird world. "Yes. Yes, yes, yes. The seal has been weakened. Maybe you're not as dull as I think you are. Hah! Still, it's sad to be in this state, perhaps soon. . . Well, who can tell? Well, enough idle chat like this. Time to wake up."

"Who!?" Eith asked as her eyes opened. It hadn't been amazingly long since she had passed out, but long enough for Bunny to find herself next to Eith. The rabbit's face was close so Eith nuzzled back, curious why she was in bed now. In fact, she found it weird. Wasn't she downstairs? Something happened though. . . Not that she could really remember. "Bunny... You look worried. Is there something wrong?"

Katherine Lindall

"It's not done yet. My hands started to hurt so I decided to take a break. Then food sounded good. It's actually coming in right now." Katherine said as the door to her room opened. Two dolls carrying plates over their heads walked over. It was almost impressive that such tiny frames could carry plates filled with food as it were. "It's not much impressive. An assortment of stewed vegatables and a bit of beef steak, heated over an open fire. I like it a bit done, so it might not be as moist as you like, but should taste good still with the bit of seasoning. The Puppetmaster said as she grabbed both plates. "Now sit up and eat. When we're done, I have a small something I want you to do for me." She said with a bit of a smile. It was a nice one. Too nice, perhaps.

Meowka grumbled after being told to sit up but after about ten seconds did so, stretching once again as she looked over Katherine. "Something?" As much as she enjoyed laying around and doing nothing it was a little upsetting when she was told she was going to have to be useful again today.

She ate her meal mostly in silence and agreed with the puppeteers previous suggestion - the food could afford to be a bit more moist. She asked one of the dolls for a glass of water to go with her meal and switched frequently between the two which seemed to bring her some degree of satisfaction.

Vegetables were never in her diet really. She had always been more of a carnivore on a personal level. Eventually though she finished her meal and looked at Katherine expectantly. If it took the other woman too long, she would lay down in her lap once again.

"Oh goodness, Eith!" As soon as Eith woke up, Miren tightened her hug around the hound for a moment before releasing her and giving her a bit of space. "Y-you sort of...passed out on us." The rabbit replied to her question. "You even...had a bit of a fever I think? I'm not sure, it's hard to tell with your normal body temp so high, but..." The rabbit shook her head. "I-It doesn't matter, are you alright? I know you said that stuff like you...'overheating' happens sometimes, but that wasn't good, Eith!" Miren gave the hound a worried look, frowning.

"I want you to talk to someone. I don't care what you think about it, either, and if you won't go I'll bring someone here!"

Eith

"Talk to someone? Who do you even think I could talk to? Not even Myrilla could do anything. Or, perhaps, knowing her she just didn't." Eith said, looking at Miren curiously. She sure as Hell didn't know anyone she could talk to about this issue. "Who would you suggest?"

Katherine Lindall

Katherine wasn't too amazingly picky and ate just about everything on her plate, except for one little fatty part in her steak. She saved it until the end and then stabbed it with her fork and put it near Meowka's mouth. "Say 'Ahn'." The Puppeteer said as she plopped the small bit into the cat's mouth. There was no way she'd refuse. She didn't seem picky about that sort of thing either. "It's nice to have someone that'll eat the fatty bits." She added as the dolls came to collect their plates. She didn't really care too much whether or not the cat ate the vegetables. It was mostly to see what she'd eat after all.

"Alright then. About that request. Now, sit up, you can lean back against the wall or however would make you the most comfortable." Katherine waited until the cat was perfectly done getting comfortable. "Good then? Great." With that, the cat's master laid her head on the cat's lap and took a deep breath. "I need a small nap and of course, I'm using your lap as a pillow." It was all calculated. She wanted a small nap of course, but she'd take the chance to see how the cat would respond. Of course, she couldn't just blatantly say no. Not really.

The cat looked at Katherine, opening her mouth as instructed and eating the food as it was plopped in by the puppeteer. A slightly irritated thought crossed the girl's mind, but in the end she realized this meant this woman was happy to feed her like she was some sort of goddess! Some of the vegetables were left by the end however, obviously not the cat's choice of food.

And fatty bits? Didn't she mean the tasty bits? Either way, as the other woman asked her to make herself comfortable she leaned back against the wall with a small pillow behind her back - obviously a bit confused. Meowka looked down at her mistress not sure what was going on. "Miss Katherine? Are ... are you alright?" This role reversal was obviously confusing the kitten just a bit.

"W-well..." Miren frowned for a moment, trying to think of another person she could potentially talk to about this problem. She didn't really know Myrilla, or even how to contact the demon. Livia would likely know, but...Eith didn't trust Livia so Miren didn't want to speak to the headmistress. There weren't really many other people here she could really speak to about it, was there? Aetheria, maybe, but Miren wasn't sure how she could help.

...maybe Katherine? She was Livia's apprentice.

"...We could speak to Katherine, I think." Miren said with a smile. "She'd know about this sort of thing, I think, wouldn't she?"

Eith

Well, this rabbit was rather insistent on her seeing someone. "Ohh, sure. If you think "Katherine" would help. I doubt she could do anything if Myrilla couldn't." Eith stated, somewhat doubtfully. She didn't want to doubt her friend-servant, but her experience didn't do too much to give her faith in the matter. "Still, if there is a chance. . ." But she might as well go along with it to see if there was a chance.

Katherine Lindall

"I'm just a bit tired." Katherine said as she turned her head to look up at the kitten. "It's what happens when you decided to make a dress for your familiar and she decides she wants to do her best to get in the way." She teased. While it was true, she kept on task very readily. "Have you never done this sort of thing before? I thought you'd be skilled in petting someone's head and making it feel good." Maybe a little spuring on would work out well.

There was a knock at the bottom of the stairs a few seconds before Selvina arrived in the room carrying a large tray of food for Eith in the form of a pile of smoked brisket alongside a large glass of cool water for her to drink in case she wanted anything. She had heard their voices downstairs and therefor knew the hound was awake which was both a relief and a slight problem in case she ended up going catatonic again.

"N-nice to see you back with the living, Eith. I'll just set this down next to you, alright?" She gave the pair a quick diagnostic glance after setting the food down and heading to a small chair in the room and lowering herself into it. The mage wanted to give them enough space to finish their conversation if they wanted to without her interruption.

Meowka was still clearly a little confused, but the challenge predictably managed to rile her on. "Well um ... yeah!"

She could pet someone? Of course! After all the experience she had being petted it should be rather easy to transfer that skill over! In the back of her mind there was still the voice saying that there was something off about this, or even that she was being challenged.

In the end though, the cat began to rub the puppeteer's head, rubbing her neck and lightly grabbing her ears a couple of times. She stroked her fingers down her mistress' back in hopes that this would be considered a satisfactory treatment.

"Alright." Miren said with a comforting grin, giving Eith a quick, friendly hug. "I had Selvina bring you some food in case you were hungry after you wake up. You can eat if you want, but I'd rather get this over with now if you don't mind, Eith." With that, Miren left the hound to eat if she wished while she went to go find a couple of materials in the library that might offer some insight. A few books about various demonic beasts, something regarding mind-control magic, and a few other topics. As soon as Eith was ready to leave though, Miren would leave with her.

Miren was somewhat surprised that Sel would be coming with them as well, but at least it'd be good to perhaps have someone else's opinion on the matter. It didn't take long for the Trio to arrive at Katherine's door - Miren had been there a few times in the past and knew the route well. She just hoped the mage wasn't busy.

"H-hello?" Miren knocked on the door loudly. "K-katherine?! It's Miren! I need to speak with you about something."

Eith

"Fine, I'll go." Eith said, skeptical still. What would a mage be able to do that a god among demons could not? Or, still then... Perhaps she just didn't want to do it. When Selvina entered again, Eith's ears dropped a bit. This was a person she really didn't want to deal with really. . . But. . . She also brought food. And her stomach was making weird noises... She accepted the food, but put the water to the side. Not like she really needed the junk. Not unless she was making steel. Now, in the next minute, she did what can only be described as utterly devouring her food. Nothing existed of it by the time she was finished. Soon enough, the group left for the Puppet-Master's house.

Katherine Lindall

About thirty minutes passed since Katherine started having the cat caress her hair. At the cat's touch, she relaxed greatly. She may have been teasing Meowka earlier, but she really had great hand control. "I might have to ask you to do this more. SAdly though, that's enough for now. We're going to have guests in a couple of minutes." Katherine said as she struggled to sit up. A minute later, a knock was heard at the door followed by a cute voice introducing herself. "Ahh, if you want to hug this one... I understand. It's alright, I think we're all too weak to her charm." The Puppeteer said with a slight giggle.

Katherine brought herself over to the door to open it personally. Hardly a second passed once she opened the door before she was hugging the small rabbit on the other side. "Oh Miren! It's been too long! Staying adorable are you?" She rubbed her cheeks against the rabbit's for a couple of seconds before looking up and noticing the other two. "Oh, the mutt and the. . . I've not got a good name for you now other than something overly wordy." Katherine joked as the opened the door fully to show off her room. "Come on in. I've no idea what you actually want to talk about this time. Haven't found the time to install a doll in your house. Think I might have to go hunt for some more souls for them."

Eith furrowed her brows and looked to Katherine. "I am no mutt! I am pure Shellagh." Eith complained, though stepped inside. Katherine just sighed and rolled her eyes. "I'll silence myself for Miren though."

"You just need to understand humor, dear. Now then, Miren, what did you want to ask." She asked while patting the wolf-eared girl. "Oh! Right, one last thing before that actually! This is Meowka, my new familiar. I didn't name her by the way. Yes, Boy-Girl, she might look familiar to someone you know. Someone in the care of a dragon and knight at current, I believe."

Meowka continued to pet her mistress still somewhat confused but ... but at least she seemed to enjoy it! Of course she did! She was a prowler of the night, after all. Every skill that was worthy would already be within her mind.

Soon though her owner rose out of the bed, saying they would have visitors. It took a couple of seconds, but before the door was opened she could hear them approach and then see one of them be systematically hugged by her rather enthusiastic owner. A slight pain ran through Meowka but she wasn't sure why.

However she sniffed the air as the door opened and ... dog!? When Katherine gestured towards where Meowka had been all she would find is an empty spot and a quick glance around the room wouldn't reveal the girl hiding in one of the cabinets in a near cat-a-tonic state. She didn't even comment on the insult regarding her name.

"Thank you Miss Lindall ... but ... what familiar?" Based on Katherine's statement however it was likely that she was a cat - which would also make sense that she was hiding within the presence of Eith.

For a couple of seconds the mage considered commenting on the 'boy-girl' comment but after a couple of seconds decided not to bother. Out of all the teachers Katherine was by far the biggest jokester and sought to often times have her dolls teach the class when she was busy. Which certainly made the class unique, at least.

"O-oh...hello, Katherine." Miren blushed slightly at being called adorable, leaning into the cuddles slightly. Well, she was definitely adorable yes, but it was still embarrassing to hear. "I-I guess I am?" She replied in a somewhat questioning tone. "A-and I wouldn't really mind having a doll to help around the store a bit..." Though, it'd probably not do much other than cause a mess and maybe a slight distraction, but eh. With a quiet sigh, she followed Katherine into her home.

"Erm, thank you for having us. I-It was rather sudden." The rabbit took a cursory glance around the room, not entirely sure where this supposed familiar was. Her ears flicked curiously towards the cabinet but didn't say anything. "As much as I wish it was simply a social call, It's actually about Eith here." The rabbit gave the teacher an unsure frown before continuing. "I don't know how much you know about it, and it's a little difficult to explain though...but basically whenever Eith here tries to 'think' too much she over heats or something similar. A-and recently after doing it she sort of went into a fugue state and passed out right after, with a fever. That is, a much higher body temp than even she normally has."

Eith and Katherine Lindall

"Seal on thinking? Sounds like rubbish. Pardon me a second though." Katherine said righ before she cleared her throat. "Meowka, dearie, I need you out here. This 'Shellagh' as she calls herself won't harm you. And if she still does, maybe the thought of not having fish for a week scares you more." Whatever the cat did was up to her at that point. "Back to topic though. . . Mutt, lay on the bad like a human trying to sleep."

Eith was about to growl in contempt but though better than to do so, so she laid on the bed as she was asked. At least, imagined she was asked to do so. It was still a little irritating. "Goodie. Now then, let me take a look at your very being. Lay it bare for me." Katherine added as she put a hand to the Shellagh's chest. The heart was a good focal point to test and see if anything was amiss. In this case, there was. Nothing small either. "Hmmm. This is. . . Nothing good, so far as to tell you. There's a. . . Type of seal, I suppose. It's inexplicably mixed between her soul and her body. That is to say, there's your problem."

Eith shook the teacher off after she was done telling her information. "What does that mean?" The Dog-Girl had to ask. It needed a decent explanation. "How is that the problem?"

"Wow, she wasn't kidding when she said you don't think. Fine, let me give you all of the little details then." Katherine said as she looked Eith in the eyes. "You have a seal of sorts in you part of it attached to your physical form, and part to your soul.. Can't tell you what it does, but I can hazard a guess from what the adorable bunny said." The Doll-Master always enjoyed her long rants, doubly so when it made someone feel dumb. Just like the mutt looked like at the moment. "Good news though, or perhaps not. . . Well, it weakened recently. I could feel remnants of an "outer barrier" that "broke". Did she show any changes in personality?" If nothing else Miren or Selvina had to have known. She looked at the two expectantly. If Meowka decided to show, Katherine would put her hand on the kitten's head and ruffle her hair.

The cat remained in the hiding spot a bit longer, the mage managing to respond first as the teacher asked them a question. "Yeah ... like a couple of hours ago she went catatonic and spoke in a different voice. I had upset her ... perhaps that triggered the reaction?" That was Selvina's best guess at least. The woman was simply glad that things were being found out, and looked to Miren to see if there was anything else to report.

Around this time Meowka finally managed to find the courage to leave the cabinet. Surely the archwizard would protect her, right? And besides ... she wasn't a coward. Unlike another cat that she knew, the very definition of a scardy cat. She silently approached the conversation, visibly nervous but relaxing slightly as she noticed the dog was laying down with only a slight degree of agitation and standing just a little to the back left of the mage where she received pettings. She wasn't hiding behind the puppeteer. Nope, she was simply watching her back! A prowler of the night would never leave the one who fed them open to assault.

"Ooh...that sounds...bad." Miren furrowed her eyebrows as Katherine broke the news to them. "That's not good at all." Miren hopped over to Eith, taking a seat next to her on the bed. "I think Selvina may be right...at least, about the change. There was a...slight issue, erm..." She didn't want to linger on that exact topic, though. So she'd get right to the matter here instead of beating around the bush. "You're skilled with this sort of thing, right? Do you think you could help?"
