"...wow, you're a sore loser, aren't you?" Gwynn grunted.
"Don't take something like this so seriously, red. You'll get wrinkles. Have a bit of fun with life or you're gonna end up a crotchety old woman like that Clete guy..." Gwynn sighed.
"Well if you don't want anything, you want something Ritsa?" The hydra thought for a moment, before turning her head towards Fia for a few long seconds, likely trying to think of something.
"Hmm...something with...water?" The Hydra replied unsure. She was just having fun tagging along with Gwynn and Fia.
"Haa...why do I get stuck watching these two..." Gwynn grunted. She hated kids like these two. She wasn't good with unsociable types. Gwynn rubbed the back of her neck. All the things she wanted to do just would end up getting all of them in trouble, and she just wasn't really comfortable doing around kids their age.
"I'd suggest fishing or something but you'd win that easily." Ritsa grinned at what she perceived to be praise.
"Lets see..." Ah wait, maybe there was something she could make herself!
"...you've never been ice-skating, have ya?" She asked the redhead. At this Ritsa brightened immediately.
"Oh oh, lake lake! Come on, pretty!" The hydra grabbed Fia's hand, giving her an expectant look.
"E-eh? Come again?" Did...Eith say her name? The rabbit gave her a confused expression, pointing to herself with a free hand. Her face started to redden slightly as her mind started jumping to conclusions, theories, and similar things in typical jumpy bunny fashion. She...she couldn't have said her right? She must have misheard. Right, her bunny ears misheard. Yep, she had good hearing but not perfect hearing. Obviously she misheard. Yep yep, that was right. Misheard.
...
"O-oh, w-well, t-that's not entirely what I m-meant." The rabbit nervously stuttered out.
"I-I meant like...stuff...like, I like traveling and reading." Ohhh, Change the subject please.
Submissive...switch? That was...The undine gave Katherine a deadpan look before laughing loudly, having to hold her stomach with her arms. Absurd! Hilariously absurd! She would never do such a thing! There was absolutely nothing that could 'switch' her to something like being enjoyed bossing around by filth. It took a few minutes for the undine to stop laughing and actually address Katherine before finally replying in a not so friendly fashion.
Before Katherine could react, a whip of water smacked her loudly across the face, a second grabbed her by the ankles, roughly yanking the feet of the mage out from under her and hoisting her up by her ankles.
"Ahaha! You're funny, filth." The undine leaned towards Katherine.
"Me? Submissive? Never. Not for anyone. You are more than welcome to try, certainly though...but in the mean time I think I'll remind you who I am." Celine started walking, heading towards the location of Katherine's home. If the mage was to do anything, now would likely be the time.
Sorcha made her way to the elevated platform constructed for viewing. It was, in actuality the only one in the entire makeshift arena. After all, she was the most important person here and she couldn't let anyone else sit on the same level as her of course, heh. Well, aside from a certain kitten that would show up later.
The Arena itself was simply constructed. Well crafted wooden stands were used for seats on bot sides of the jousting field, with her private little box sitting at one end. Her box in question, was a bit more elegantly crafted of course. A roof to protect her from the harsh rays of the sun, and the seat in question was an elegantly crafted seat one might expect to find in a well off nobles home. Luxurious, comfortable, and a bit ostentatious. Next to it was a small table for food and drink, and on the other side was another, slightly less seat for her servant - Maoin, should she so desire to sit of course.
"Oh, hello Maoain." Sorcha lounged in the luxurious seat, resting her arm on one of the rests, folding her legs and watching the proceedings beneath her.
"Indeed, it's a festive happy day today, isn't it?" It was easy to tell, now that she was in a bit of a public scene the dragon was behaving a bit differently then she did when it was just her and Luna. A bit more restrained, with more decorum and a little more of an overall demanding presence.
"Oh my," Sorcha looked at the wrapped gifts, pleasantly surprised by the kitten.
"Someone is spoiling me, heh." She chuckled, reaching up and giving the kitten a pet on the head.
"Thank you Little One, these gifts are wonderful indeed for the occasion." She opened the mead, pouring it into the glass.
"Feel free to take a seat, Little One. Don't forget to enjoy the festivities yourself."It was then the festivities seemed to finally get underway. Sorcha had a very good view of the field from up here. As soon as Luna entered, there was a cheer from the crowd, though it was far from overly loud. It was a respectable crowd to be sure - there were quite a few knightly types here. Perhaps not as large as the festival itself, but there were definitely a number of people here. She had made sure to advertise well, after all.
Soon enough though, the crowd calmed down as a voice rang loudly over the field.
"Hey hey folks!" The feminine voice shouted, amplifying her voice with some sort of sound based magic.
"How are all of ya doing this fine day of autumn festivals?" The speaker could easily be seen upon the field herself, walking around the middle of it, definitely intending to draw attention to herself.
"I'm your friendly commentator Marie~! I'll be your host for today's events! Thank you all so much for coming out here today! It definitely wouldn't have been possible without a generous contribution by a certain little dragon currently present. Say hi, dragon!~"Tsk, this girl. Sorcha sighed, getting out of her seat with a small smile. She walked to the edge of the box, placing her hands on the edge of it and waving to the crowd.
"Greetings, my fellow festival goers." The dragon began.
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance! I am glad to see so many out here today. A Magic Academy isn't exactly the average locale for knightly endeavors, is it?" The dragon laughed.
"I understand, I feel a bit out of place myself! It's why I organized this little event! So enjoy it, and afterwards for all participants there is a feast to be had!"There was a cheer from the stands as Sorcha waved once more before settling back into the seat, wearing a small, somewhat dopey smile.
Ah~
How she missed this attention.
"Wooow, you heard it here folks! An actual dragon to boot, how about that! The prize for even competing is a small cash prize depending on how well you do! Most importantly though, fame, glory, and recognition! For the winner? Well, that is something miss dragon hasn't told even I! Must be something really incredible, heh! Well without any further ado let us get this tournament underway! Contestants, ready your arms and steeds! Fight fairly and no dirty fighting!" With that, Maire retreated to the sidelines, on a little box where she could watch the events unfold.
"Only twelve? Hmm..." Livia hummed quietly.
"While I am fine with allow any who wish to learn here the chance to do so, that is a little young to be letting around here alone by themselves without supervision." Aside from being irresponsible it'd be somewhat dangerous to allow the child to be here unsupervised. They might get into things they shouldn't, really.
"I am assuming you have someone in min to watch over her?" Livia questioned.
"I certainly wouldn't mind it, but I am unsure if I could devote any more time to such things. I already am...watching another child, between her and other duties I am not certain I'd have enough time to do it myself."The headmistress shook her head, motioning for Richard to walk with her.
"Speaking of I am in a bit of a hurry myself..."
