Didn't expect her to drink it ... why not? The kitten blinked a couple times until she heard Maire say cheap human stuff which meant she wasn't human ... then what was she? For a couple seconds as the woman continued to explain. Throne of pride?

The initial thought that she was a vampire drinking blood slipped from the kitten's mind as she realized that this was probably a demon. Which meant that this was going to turn very bad very quickly. Any thoughts of having fun times disappeared of course as she came across that realization and the girl obviously wanted her mother dead in some sort of selfish power struggles. All the pet comments and appreciating her as a servant suddenly made a lot of sense.

"Oh um yeah uh ..." Maoin immediately bolted towards the door with her cat-like agility and turned the nob as hard as she possibly could only to feel it not budge. Shit. The cat's eyes looked towards the demoness with a little fear as she backed up against the door. "L-let me go."

If the demon hesitated she would notice the cat begin to open her mouth as if to call on someone.

Meowka simply frowned not sure if she should believe such a ridiculous story or not. The cat stretched, looked at the other girls for a moment, and then hopped into a nearby tree and laid down on one of the branched out of everyone's reach as if preparing to take a nap. "Whatever. Just let her know I'll be handling some important business until she gets back." The cat would begin to fall asleep unless interrupted, likely dreaming about the things that made her happy in life.

Katherine's Dolls

The dolls practically sighed as the cat jumped to god knows where. Well, she went to lay in a tree so... That was that. The group of girls just stood there, confused. The dolls shoo'd them off in the direction opposite of where the zombies were. Eitherway, the just needed to stay on the lookout. Just in case.

Eith the Shellagh

"More of them." Eith commented, covering the zombies in fire from her mouth. They were burnt toast quite quickly. That said, a couple of the walking dead snuck up behind the two. Well, snuck up being far back still. Not that it mattered as they were quickly chopped down by miniature halberds.

"I've had an eye on you two. Mostly once you passed through the defense perimeter I set up. I'd hug you Miren, but now's not the time is it?" A female's voice called from behind.

As Eith turned to it, she recognized the woman. "Katherine, the Shady Dollmaster."

Katherine laughed. This one... She couldn't tell if it were a regressing of the hounds condition or her trying to be offensive. [color=green]"And if it isn't the Mutt. Now then, Miren, you have an idea how to get rid of these abominations? I have to make it to the dance with Meowka still tonight. Eith didn't seem especially trusting of Katherine, but, she had to put that aside now. No one would want these monstrosities to be around.

Mugi

"Oh my, it's almost that time. We still need to get dress and fit the Kimono on you." Mugi said, pulling at Cynthia's hand and pulling her off towards where she stashed the dresses... Then someplace to change. Once in a place safe enough to change, Mugi decided that Cynthia was the first to change. Mostly because Mugi wanted to make sure to get her dressed up correctly. "Alright, time for you dress. I'll get you all dressed nice and comfortable."

Kozue Komichi

Lyssa stopped fighting. She really didn't seem like she wanted to continue, though it was more her being distracted. It worked out though, as a certain someone came flying through the air. The certain someone that she was looking for the whole time. "And you come straight to me." She hated giving Ayumi the pleasure of her pain so she did the only reasonable thing, she jumped up and caught Ayumi mid-flight, a hand on the girl's head to protect it as the two crashed to the ground and rolled a bit from the momentum and before Ayumi knew it, she was pinned to the ground. "I've been looking for you, Ayumi. You should return what you stole and apologize."

~Miren~

"A-ah! Katherine." Miren said with an appreciative sigh. "Y-yes. If you're here, it's actually quite easy. I've narrowed down where the tear into the underworld is, we just need to close it. I'm sure you know how to close such a portal easily enough!" The rabbit continued, leading them towards an alleyway. She hadn't considered the fact that no, Katherine didn't. Still, it would have been easy enough for a mage as skilled as Katherine was to be able to come up with a plan herself.

"Uhm...it should be right...around here!-ah, there!" Miren pointed to a shimmering, wavering point of air not far in front of them. "T-the door to that building seems to have become a portal to the underworld. O-oh dear, whoever made this was fairly skilled....or just really lucky." The rabbit frowned. "U-uhm! y-you'd probably have an easier time closing it than I would, Katherine."
~Cynthia~

Right, it was getting close enough time wasn't it? The maid let herself be dragged by Mugi, off to a safe enough place to change into the kimino's for the festival. To be honest, the maid was unsure. She wasn't used to wearing much aside from a few simple outfits and her work attire. Not that she wasn't really looking for approval from how she looked from anyone, but it was still a little nerve wracking to do something like this.

"...very well, mugi."

~Marie~

...

Ah...so that was what broke the kitten? The fact she wasn't human.

How boring. So typical of most humans.

Marie frowned, downing the last of the apple scented drink as the kitten tried the door. Useless, of course. She had her ways and the door was sealed, more or less. As the kitten came to that realization that she couldn't escape so easily, the silver haired girl tossed the glass onto the bed. Before the kitten would be able to do anything she'd find Marie practically on top of her, pressing a hand firmly against her mouth to prevent her from making a noise.

"So easily scared, pet." Marie snarled. "Remember your position and who your betters are, cat. Not everyone here is aware of who I am, or who my mother is. So let me make myself clear. One sound from you and I'll have you dragged into hell and forced to fight in that damnable Sathanus' arena for my amusement. Not that anyone would likely believe you anyways, so save us both some trouble and quiet yourself before I give you an actual reason to be afraid of me."

If the cat cared to look, Marie's appearance had changed, only somewhat. Black, feathery wings sprouted form her back. A silvery white halo of light hung over her head, signifying her status as perhaps something, that once upon a time, had been holy or 'godly' in nature. Or at least, had a lineage from them.

"Understand, pet?"

~Lyssa~

"Whee~" The Ninja simply gave a happy sounding laugh as she was caught by Kozue. In the ensuing scuffle, there wasn't much the other girl could do to really resist. So she ended up pinned, right under the priestess. Not that the ninja seemed to mind so much. "Ah, Kozue..." The ninja put on a fake shy expression, face blushing intensely as she was held under the Preistess. "I...I didn't know you were so dominating...But if it's you I don't mind."

Lyssa simply looked on, giggling lightly at the scene.

Maoin had hoped that she would have been let go. Of course, that isn't what happened.

The kitten winced in pain as she was slammed against the doorway.
It wasn't exactly the most comfortable position to be in and her instinctive urge to scream was caught up along with her breath when she found her mouth covered. Maoin looked wide eyed at the demon on top of her as she made her threats, the cat simply staring back.

On one hand it would probably be worse to anger Marie heir to the throne of pride more. On the other hand it seemed as if Maire had planned this from the beginning based on the fact the door was closed. Would it really make a difference to do nothing?

The cat's eyes drifted up to the damnable wings, fear filling them as they shook slightly and they began to water and a few whimpers escaped her lips. Then she slammed her foot as hard as possible as many times as she could manage while trying to open her mouth and rip into Marie's hand with her fangs.

If the woman let go of her face she would start screaming.

Eith the Shellagh and Katherine Lindall

"I can do that, just... Make sure nothing happens. I'm focusing on closing this so there'll be no direct input to my dolls." Katherine said with a sigh. She took a second to send a message to all her dolls acting as perimeter control and the couple that were standing around here. They seemed to set up a localized patrol quickly and Katherine moved towards the tear in reality. Then she set her focus, showing her open palm to the shimmering air.

Eith wasn't sure, "I just need to make sure that Katherine doesn't get hurt?" Eith asked Miren. She wasn't sure how long it would take for the Puppeteer to actually "close" this... Whatever it was. But she'd do it, right? "Maybe I should have hunted down that demon when she showed up earlier."

Mugi

"You'll look beautiful in it! Though, that's just because you're a beauty in and of yourself." Soon enough, Cynthia would find herself out of her maid outfit. Her chest was bound with some cloth like object and the Kimono fashionably put on her. Mugi didn't waste time in putting the outfit on her girlfriend, though she wished she would have made a bit of time to be able to peer at the maid's body. What's done is done though. "There! It looks a bit exotic on you. Though, that's not to say it doesn't look wonderful. The light blue compliments you a lot I think!" Mugi hugged Cynthia quickly and let go. "How is it? It's probably a little on the stuff side but I can help with that."

Kozue Komichi

"Ayumi, why are you going around and stealing people's things?" Kozue said, ignoring the Ninja's comments. Rather than anger or irritation, there was a sound of disappointment. "You and your demon stole that book, and I've heard stories of how a "Pumpkinhead" stole sweets and candy... Well, I can say that's you now." Kozue said as she looked to the Pumpkin.

~Miren~

"R-right!" Miren hopped a bit closer to Katherine. It should have been easy enough for her to do it, right? The rabbit simply stood, hoping no undead decided to try and nibble on her. Her adorable bunny buns were not food in any capacity! "U-uhm, I don't think she could have helped us much." Miren frowned. "Didn't seem like she was too interested in anything other than eating...candy."

~Cynthia~

For once, Cynthia let herself be the one to be dressed up by someone else. It was...interesting, to say the least. Normally she was the one helping with that. Mugi though? Well, she couldn't say she disliked it. She had to wonder how she looked though - fancy clothes had never really suited her. She grew up in the country, after all, and she was by no means a noble even if she liked to think she was a very skilled mage and maid.

"..." Cynthia simply remained slightly flustered as she was hugged by Mugi, unable to really say anything. It looked good on her, then? Well that was good. That was nice, yes. Hearing that she looked good from Mugi at least, was something that made her happy anyways. "I-it's fine." Cynthia managed to reply, when questioned about the dress.

"...you have a dress, right?" At least putting something on someone else would help ease her nerves a little bit.

~Marie~

Marie snarled, pulling Maoin away from the door before she had a chance to get more than one foot on the door. There was the feeling of teeth biting into flesh on her hand - how dare this flee ridden cat so much as even think about it! Marie slammed Maoin on the floor, easily knocking her feet out from under her.

Before Maoin could so much as scream, Marie wrapped her hands around Maoin's throat.

"And I told you to be quiet. Such a disobedient pet. Perhaps you need a little lesson-" Before Marie could finish the sentence, however, she immediately got off of Maoin, her wings and halo disappearing in a flash of pale light as she took a few steps away from the kitten. Not moments later, there was a knock at the door.

"Heey, Maoin!" A familiar voice of someone Maoin knew all to well echoed from outside of the room. "Livia said ya bought a date home." Marie visible frowned, but walked over to the door, seemingly completely forgetting the kittens assistance. She pulled open the door - seemingly without even unlocking it. "..Eh?" Gwynn paused for a moment as the door was open.

"Ah?~" Marie gave Gwynn a bright grin. "Don't you know it's rude to intrude on a date?" The silver haired demon laughed.

~Lyssa~

"Pfft, I didn't steal anything." Ayumi replied with a dismissive chuckle. "Just...borrowed it for a bit. You know, that thing that friends let friends do, right Lyssa?"

"Right Ayumi!"

"Besides! It was a dangerous book. Yep yep, summoned all kindsa horrible stuff with it. It's in good hands now, yep yep! See? I did a good!"

Maoin let out a slight cry as she was slammed into the floor and she tried to take a breath to -

She couldn't breathe. The hands around her windpipe were suffocating her. Was this really how it was going to end - just a little more than a year after being a familiar having her life stop? Was this really going to be her ending? The demoness on top of her made more threats and Maoin was sure that-

The cat felt herself instinctively start coughing as she tried to gather her next breath and felt her lungs fill with air. Around the time she was starting to see her surroundings clearly again she saw Lady Gwynn standing in the doorway. Maoin blinked a couple times - brought a date home?

Marie of course had returned to her previous act, but the cat simply gave a scowl at her and refused to look in her direction as she walked towards Lady Gwynn with purpose. "Not my house." She proceeded to grab her former owner's hands, lead her downstairs, gave the headmistress a slight nod, grabbed a bottle of wine off a nearby table and led her companion out of the house where her composure collapsed into a pile.

The cat immediately took a swing although she was nowhere near drunk from it. Her body had gotten stronger since last time. "Thanks. T-that was going to get bad. Very bad." The cat's body shivered slightly. "I-I don't have any buisness being here anyways ... I should be serving the drinks, not enjoying them with this sort of company." Maoin's voice seemed to stutter slightly as the cat looked up at Lady Gwynn dependently. It would be rather apparent the cat was frightened, but not with her. "I ... K-know you rejected m-me but could you-you please walk me home? Back to my new mistress? Please?" It seemed like Maoin wanted to wrap herself around one of Lady Gwynn's arms and hug it close to her but forced herself to stop before going through with it.

Maoin looked at Lady Gwynn with big shaking eyes - it would probably be obvious the "date" had gone badly.

Eith the Shellagh and Katherine Lindall

"Just a little bit longer." Katherine said as the tear seemed to be losing some of it's strength. She definitely seemed very focused on closing it.

Eith then replied to Miren. "I don't mean for her help. She seemed suspicious. Probably had something to do with this." After her words, she turned around to check the area. She didn't really see anything. So that was good. Not seeing anything meant that it was calm and in an Academy that was good.

Mugi

"Of course I brought one. I brought it with the other one." She looked behind herself for where she put the damned thing and brought it back, handing it to Cynthia. "So, you're helping me right?" Mugi asked, but didn't wait for an answer as she started to undress. She was still cover, but almost bare to her lover and she grabbed a cloth from inside her original outfit and handed it to Cynthia. "Can you help me with this? Like I did with yours. I think I need a bit of help."

Kozue Komichi

"You ask when you borrow, or you hurt the side you're "borrowing" from." Kozue informed the ninja. She was still as undisciplined as always when it came to that type of thing. "And, what do you mean it "summoned all kinds of horrible things?" She asked confused. She hadn't seen the carnage that was happening right over in the festival main area. Rather, she'd be rather pissed off know what was there and that Ayumi had a hand in it. She'd let Ayumi answer before doing anything else though.

~Miren~

"W-well, yes. She said as much, but I don't think we need to worry, Eith. The headmistress erm, really doesn't like people causing trouble on campus or in the city. She's probably already taken care of it so no need for us to do anything about it." Of course, Miren was just adverse to conflict in many ways. She wasn't a leader or one to take initiative in such situations by a long shot if someone else could do it, not unless she absolutely had to. Besides, katherine seemed to be working with the tear easily enough, and from the looks of things the portal was easily diminishing.

~Cynthia~

With a quiet nod, Cynthia moved about dressing Mugi. It was simple enough for the maid to dress someone. Wouldn't be the first time. After she familiarized herself with the article, the maid silently went to work, doing her best to ignore the Yuki-Onna's...tracts...of land.

She didn't do a very good job of that.

Still, hands moved swiftly and delicately across the other womans body as she dressed her, finishing quickly enough and pulled the final piece of cloth over the clothing.

"Not to tight?" She asked.

~Marie~

Gwynn's first thought were various levels of 'What the fuck', 'this is awkward' and 'Maoin's got really soft hands'. Of course, Gwynn didn't question it. Something had obviously happened, and damn it. She may not want to be involved with Maoin - she couldn't say she didn't care about the kitten. As the kitten lead her out of the house, Marie simply sighed dismissively and walked silently behind them, somewhat seemingly upset that her alone time with Maoin had been interrupted. It didn't seem like Marie was intent on following them. Instead, she walked over to the headmistress who was currently talking with another white haired woman...and...holding her by the ear while her mouth was stuffed with a candied apple.

"Hey, hey, c'mere." Gwynn said softly, giving the cat a soft pat on the head. That always made her feel better didn't it? "I dunno what happened, but hey, it's over now."

~Lyssa~

"Undead...fickle fox spirits? Pumpkin headed ghosts?" Ayumi replied. "You know, only if someone misused it of course. Which I, a trained and extremely disciplined warrior of the temple would never do! I made sure to dispose of it properly, yep yep." Not true in the slightest, but it wasn't like she was gonna talk if Kozue kept interrogating her.

"By that she means she gave it to a demon!" Lyssa chimed in with a giggle.

"B-bwuh!? T-traitor! Lies and slander I would never give it to a demon for the promise if sweets!"

Maoin nodded as Lady Gwynn replied, pressing herself against the woman and letting a few tears roll out. For a couple of seconds the cat thought about the words and ... she didn't know what was going on? The cat paused for a moment before looking up at Lady Gwynn. It was rather apparent that Headmistress Livia knew the goings on of the campus ...

... but if Lady Gwynn didn't know that probably meant that she had been coming by simply to mess with her or interupt her attempts to fall in love with someone else. It was likely that the noble didn't know about how much of a social impasse that was.

"You- you were just interrupting? Well ... thanks anyways." The cat didn't move despite that realization. Getting pets and affection always made her feel better. It probably wouldn't be worth telling her about what happened in the room anyways since she was either likely going to dismiss it or make fun of her for it.

The cat let out a sigh and then smirked slightly while her eyes still watered. "It seems my romantic encounters are always doomed to fail at this rate!" Both of her mistresses had rejected her and Marie had tried to catnap her. A slightly depressed look crossed the girl's face before she shook it off and looked back up towards Lady Gwynn.

"By the way Lady Gwynn, can I ask you something?" There had been a single question she had been wanting to ask Lady Gwynn for some time now - she loosened her hug a bit but still remained attached but she would allow her former mistress to back out if she wanted to.

Eith the Shellagh and Katherine Lindall

"It's done." Katherine said as the Tear closed and the air returned to normal. "I'm a little out of practice on that. Might need to find some more to trying." She cleaned her hands off and walked over to the Mutt and Rabbit. "Now, to be fair to the Mutt... Livia just walked away, figuring it'd be taken care of. What a headmistress, right?" The Teacher said with a mild laugh. She's been rather... Busy... Today, it was a bit of a surprise that she was still standing. "Anyhow, it's just a clean-up now. For the help, take some cash and go enjoy yourselves. Oh, and don't forget the dance tonight."

The woman walked off with a group of dolls moving out to secure the area and eliminate any other targets. She.... Didn't seem like she needed any help in that. "Well, food time?" Eith asked, looking curiously at Miren holding the money Katherine gave them.

Mugi

"Geez, you did that quick. I didn't even have a chance to tease you. Though your eyes did a good enough job of that." Mugi teased as she used her arms to squeeze her bust together, making a bit of emphasis, hoping to draw Cynthia's eyes down. "The dance is soon though. Do we have any time to go look around before hand? Or do we need to head there?"

Kozue Komichi

"The least you could do is have enough respect for me not to lie about something so... Serious, Miss "Disciplined"." What else did she expect? This was Ayumi, the same person that took in the spirit of a fox to escape. . . Well, what does Kozue have to say about that? She took in the spirit of a fox as well. "Now I have to find that book. It cannot be something that sits in the hands of a demon. I must find out."

"I-It would be prudent to go ahead and head there." Cynthia replied, doing her best not to have her eyes drawn down towards the Yuki-Onna's chest. "It shall be starting in an hour so long as nothing is amiss." With that said, the Maid shuffled slightly uncomfortably before reaching for Mugi's hand and wordlessly began leading her towards the festival dance area. It was easy enough for them to get there, though there had seemed to be some sort of commotion it seemed to have mostly been resolved now. There was a band setting up on a stage, and a large, square designated dancing area in front of it. Tables had been set up around it to provide food and seats for those interested.

"Mugi..." Cynthia led Mugi to the center of the floor, just as the band began to play a fairly upbeat tune as the sun began to set. M-may I...have this dance?"

~Gwynn~

"Interrupting what?" Gwynn frowned slightly. Livia told her she had been on a date. She had been going to say hi and maybe tease Maoin about it and tell her that she was glad she had found interest in someone else. There was no guarantee she was going to be getting another chance to after this, after all. Either way, it seemed like the kitten's date didn't go so well. Oh well...

"And uh, sure yeah...ask away. I'm not doing anything until uh...well, never mind." She wasn't sure if that'd make the kitten upset mentioned her, uh, wife.

~Sorcha~

By now, Sorcha and Luna had both made it to the dance as well. Sorcha was wearing her armor - though it seemed she had it modified slightly to allow for a more dress like appearance for the dance at some point. A white dress that hung to just above her knees, trimmed with golds. The dragon had both her and Luna freshened up a bit at a spa that Maoin had suggested.

"Here we are!" Sorcha grinned brightly. "The band is starting, looks like." The dragon moved closer to Luna. "So...shall we dance or get right to the fun bits?"

Maoin blinked a couple of times. "S-something wrong Lady Gwynn?" The cat blinked a couple of times before frowning as she returned her look off in the distance. "I-I heard from the headmistress that you worked as a maid in her manor for a while ... that's how you managed to buy the sword, isn't it? That must have been really hard for you ..." The kitten lifted up her sword a bit from her sheathe. "I would have worked with you ... I know why you didn't just ask me for the money but did you think I was going to tease you about it?"

The cat gave Lady Gwynn another hug and frowned, giving her enough time to respond briefly to that statement before drawing it out of her sheathe and holding the handle towards her former mistress. Her eyes watered slightly. "But I think you should take it back. I've thought about this since we last talked and I realized you are right to have left me. You created me - and I failed as your pet, servant, and familiar. I betrayed you. I deserved to be abandoned by you and it was generous of you to have the headmistress check up on me. I didn't deserve that. Your next familiar should have it - I'm not sure when that will be, but I wish them the best of luck and hope they are able to serve you better than I was."

Maoin paused for a moment, thinking. "B-by the way. We talked after the library ... I stand by what I said then. If you ever need someone let me know. I know you don't trust me after that night and perhaps that's wise but ... but I'd hate to see anything bad happen to you. Even if it's high risk pirate enterprise. It shouldn't be hard to find my new mistress if you need me - and I think the two of you would make good friends anyways."

Lunalel Lightsword

It was finally time for the dance. Luna cautiously put on her dress earlier, but it didn't seem like there were any extended problems with it. Unsurprisingly, it fitting just perfect. She felt fine in it since it had armor to it, in fact, Luna felt that it brought the elegance factor of it up and it still showed off the symbol of Lightsword. Now at the dance... Sorcha asked her to dance, or more? "I don't know what it is you are implying, but we shall dance."

Mugi

"You don't need to ask, my dear. It's been yours since long, long ago." Mugi said as she took Cynthia's hands. She took them close to her chest and pulled close, planting a kiss on the maid's cheek. "That said though, I don't know any of your western dances. I'll need you to teach me, personally."

Katherine Lindall

Well, the clean-up went well enough. Just about everything was eliminated, though not cleaned up. There were some people that were better at that anyhow, best to leave it to them. Soon, she found herself where her cat was. Sleeping in a tree, "Why does she sleep so much?" Katherine asked herself and her dolls. The dolls just shrugged. "Hey! Meowka! Wake up! We need to get ready for the dance."

"O-Of course..." Cynthia took Mugi's hand, leading her onto the dance floor. The music was currently a little on the faster side - more lively and upbeat, as expected of a festival. Now that the little undead things had been dealt with, it seemed people were quick to get back on their feet. Cynthia pulled Mugi's body close to her own, wrapping a hand around her waist as she started.

"Just follow me, try not to step on my feet, dear." Not that Cynthia would mind too much. To start with, the Maid had less practice with more..faster pace songs then she would have liked, but she'd do her best here.

~Gwynn~

"Maoin..." Gwynn started with a low voice. She rubbed the back of her neck uncomfortably as Maoin started talking. Damn it. That's not why she did any of those things. She didn't 'Abandon' Maoin. She didn't want too. It hurt her more than the kitten could ever know. Honestly, Gwynn didn't know what to say. She couldn't bring herself to say anything at all. Hell, she didn't even want a familiar. She had tried to tell Maoin that so many times, but she just could never explain it right, could she? "...I don't want a familiar, Moain." Gwynn shook her head. "I-GAH-damn it Ritsa what'aare you doin!?" Before she got to explain further, however, the door to Livia's villa opened and rushing out came a certain Hydra who proceeded to tackle Gwynn right in the stomach, almost sending the Pirate and hydra stumbling right to the ground. Gwynn managed to steady herself, but Ritsa was staring up at her, pouting in a manner that could only be described as 'cute'

"Tsk, it's your own fault for leaving her alone, my little adventurer." Wait a minute - she'd recognize that voice...

"N-Nitsa? Y-you're, uh, early."

The woman in question was dressed very exotically in greens and golds, with darker bronze colored skin and long brown hair. Several jewels and other expensive accessories adorned her body in various places. Across the girls lower face hung a veil. She looked at least a few years older than Gwynn - likely in her early twenties.

"And you, my oblivious little clownfish, act like you are hiding away from a hungry shark."

"...uh, what makes ya say that?"

"Because I am the shark and I know when you are hiding something from me." Gwynn's gaze shifted uncomfortably as she chuckled lightly before the woman, Nitsa, laughed lightly and walked over to Gwynn, wrapping her in an overly affectionate seeming hug...and placing a kiss right on her lips. "I have missed you, my little rogue sea." Ritsa wiggled out from between the two of them, pouting done and moving over to the kitten who Nitsa just now seemed to notice. "Ah? And who is the sable kitten?" Nitsa released Gwynn from her embrace, before walking over to the kitten and giving her a pet on her head, running her hands across her ears. "Ah...this wouldn't happen to be the kitten you spoke of?"

"Uh-uh, yes - that's Moain." Gwynn sputtered out, somewhat taken by surprise at the entire situation. She hadn't...well, she hadn't really wanted to deal with this situation. "Nitsa, Maoin. Maoin, Nitsa...she's...uh-"

"I am her wife." Nitsa interrupted confidently, as she ran her hands down the kittens cheek, rubbing them lightly. "My little shrimp butt has told me quite a bit about you, cat."

"Yea...that." Gwynn grumbled.

"And how she doesn't think she deserves your affection."

"Nitsa-!"

~Sorcha~

"Oh, my little knight," Sorcha laughed as she pulled Luna onto the dance floor. The dragon led them both to a spot that would allow her enough room for her wings to stand comfortably and without potentially accidentally whacking someone with them. "Never lose that adorable naivety of yours." She didn't elaborate on her teasing at all. Instead, she pulled Luna close to her, her wings covering around her partner somewhat protectively.

"So, Luna. Ever dance with a dragon before? Dragons dancing usually involves blasts of fire and the death of some humans!" She laughed all to brightly. "I take it we'll be doing one of your silly human dances though, hmm? Lets pretend for a second I don't know anything about that...care to take the lead?~" It was probably clear the dragon was simply messing with Luna again.

Maoin's ears dropped as Lady Gwynn once again reminded her that she was created by a noblewoman that never wanted her and existed simply because she was chosen randomly. Being with the Radiant Queen of the Heavens had given her a bit more confidence but sometimes the painful reminder of her former mistress' true feelings festered like a wound that hadn't quite healed. It hurt to say it like that but ... "Lady Gwy-"

Whatever the cat had been about to say was quickly interrupted by Ritsa tackling the pirate to the ground. The kitten nearly leapt forward to defend her instinctively but stopped herself as she realized it wasn't a real threat. That was the girl in the tavern earlier, right? Maoin's eyes were quickly drawn away from the scene however as she heard the sound metals and gems moving and notice the woman quickly identified as 'Nitsa' approaching. It took only a couple of seconds to realize she was human, but she was clearly exotic as if she had come from some oriental area. She was pretty, but her tone seemed cold and commanding in a way that made Maoin feel just slightly uncomfortable.

Of course the moment she was petted Maoin's opinion of the woman immediately improved, and the kitten found herself wondering with a great degree of curiosity if the woman belonged to either a merchant family or to a high noble family. Of course the cat was surprised when the noble clearly knew who she was, and even more surprised by the next fact.

"M-Married?! And I wasn't invited to the ceremony!" The reaction was nearly instinctual and jarred itself into whatever conversation was going on and the cat couldn't help but give a pout over towards the direction of the noblewoman. "I apologize for whatever difficulties she caused while she was being prepared for that. Or have you found some method of convincing her to dress decently?" The cat finished her response, blushed slightly from her rant, and listened to what the woman had to say next.

Didn't deserve her? Didn't deserve her affection? Maoin looked over at Lady Gwynn as if she was a little crazy for a couple seconds before a confused look crossed her face. What had Lady Gwynn done wrong to not deserve it? The cat couldn't find an answer in her mind, but ... "... Lady Gwynn ... is that what you really think ... you never did anything wrong ... why?" Based on Maoin's stare, it was rather apparent this would not be an easy conversation for her former owner to back out of.

Meowka's eyes opened groggily from within the tree, only really registering the end of Mistress Katherine's statement. The cat took her time to stretch her back out using the branched and then hoped the ten feet straight towards the ground without any real issues. "The dance? We are actually going?" The cat was honestly a little surprised that the woman actually had decided to go with her. "I have a cat's grace, but I suppose we should dress more richly for the occasion, archwizard?" It was rather clear that thoughts of pampering and of wearing fine clothes filled the cat's mind as she imagined a life of pampering.

"You'd insist even whether you know or not. Besides, I know plenty of dances. I'm still a noble after all." Luna then acted a bit more forward than she had really before. She grabbed the dragon's hand and wove her fingers with Sorcha's as well as putting her arm around the dragon's waist. "Well, if I'm leading I assume I'll take the man's role?" She asked, but without waiting for the answer Luna started the two in a dance. Fast enough to keep a pace to the music, but slow enough to see how Sorcha would fare.

Mugi

"Oh my." Mugi said, doing her best to mirror her partner's steps. She had a small challenge at first but soon enough found that she could keep up with Cynthia's movements. Of course, the number one thing she tried not to do was step on Cynthia's feet. She asked for that not to happen, so Mugi did all within her power to not do so. "These western dances are faster than I'm use to."

Katherine Lindall

"Hmm, dress more richly?" Katherine said as she looked down at her robes. Yes, they were a bit on the... Dirty side. Meowka probably needed to get her dress on too. There was a dress she could wear that was a bit more on the formal side at home. Regardless, she'd have on of the many dolls at Livia's place take her spot. Not like it was the first time she missed one of Livia's dinners. "Alright, come on. Let's get home and changed."

~Gwynn~

Gwynn frowned, gritting her teeth in obvious frustration as the kitten asked a question she had no idea how to properly answer. Nitsa took a few steps back from Maoin, patting Ritsa on the head and telling the Hydra to run back indoors for the time being.

"Dress decently? My little kitten, I would have Gwynn no other way." She chuckled as Ritsa gave the woman a hug before running back indoors. "This attire suits her, no? Untamed and as rough as the seas, but protective and caring for those who are able to find that beautiful ocean beneath. Or do you think it would be better to try and control the seas yourself?" The woman asked in a serious tone, though she didn't give the kitten time to reply. "And really, I should be thanking her - if not for her Atlantis may have continued to flounder in its own stagnant pool, unable to reconnect with the world above." She laughed again, giving Gwynn a pat on the head.

"But to answer your question since this one is too stubborn to realize her own feelings or know how to vocalize them properly...let me pose you a question, kitten. Do you know why Gwynn left? And - for a second try a different perspective on the events, cat. Do not consider it was because she thought you were bad at your job or that you deserved to be abandoned because you made a slight err in judgement."

Gwynn remained silent, unable to meet either of their gazes.

Maoin's ears dropped just slightly as Lady Gwynn declined to respond and it seemed her wife responded instead. The girl found herself a little upset that even now the woman refused to dress decently ... but it was bittersweet since it was rather apparent the foreign woman in front of her was alright with that and it was rather obvious that Lady Gwynn was gradually becoming some sort of champion and not simply marauding innocent villages like some moorish pirate.

Though as Nitsa continued to speak about Lady Gwynn's feelings a little frown crossed Maoin's face. Something that made her feel undeserving of her affection? That wasn't her fault? The cat frowned for a bit ... so she hadn't been tossed out for trying to kill herself? Maoin seemed a little confused. But wasn't that exactly when Lady Gwynn had decided to get rid of her?

Unless of course Lady Gwynn blamed herself for the entire circumstance. But that would be ridiculous, wouldn't it? After all, she'd been the one to wield the blade, hadn't she?

The cat took a couple of breaths before approaching Lady Gwynn with a slight frown. "... you blame yourself for those things, don't you? The library, my servile attitude, and ... and that night?" The cat looked on for a couple of seconds before continuing. "You think if you had somehow managed to accept being my mistress I'd be happier?" Maoin's expression softened a bit. "You feel guilty about having left me, don't you?"

Maoin gave Lady Gwynn a brief hug before backing away. "The only thing you should blame yourself for is making me in the first place. It is cruel to bring a pet ... me ... into the world like this unwanted. All I ever wanted was to feel loved ... and like I'm making a difference for my owner at least." A frown crossed her face as a dark thought crossed her mind before she tossed it out and countinued after a brief pause. "But everything else is on me. You deserve everything I had to give and more - the failures while I served you were mine, not yours."

Maoin once again offered the sword back to Lady Gwynn.

Meowka simply nodded, stretching her arms out as far as they would go with a small smile as they continued. Eventually the pair of them returned home and the two of them began to put themselves together for the dance.

~Gwynn~

Gwynn's gaze lowered towards the ground more as Maoin continued. The words hurt, just a bit, because she knew everything being said was a hundred percent true. If she was a better master in general - Maoin wouldn't have gotten hurt. Like...Luna, Sel, or hell...Nitsa, here. She didn't feel guilty about leaving - she just felt guilty about Maoin in general. She tried, she did, she really did try to care for the cat, but it always just went wrong. She couldn't accept being pampered. She couldn't accept the kitten treating her like some sort of fragile doll when she wasn't, especially when the cat herself was one.

The thing that hurt the most, though?

"It is cruel to bring a pet ... me ... into the world like this unwanted."

Cruel?

...was that...cruel?

Gwynn remained silent as Nitsa's passive expression turning into a slight frown as Maoin finished.

"I suppose you two will never just understand each other, will you?" She sighed, as Gwynn shook her head, slapping herself on the side of the face, giving Maoin an uneasy smile.

"That's right...I guess I'm cruel, huh?" She gazed at the sword, shaking her head before turning around and walking off. "D...do whatever you want with it. I don't need something like that..."

"If you truly think Gwynn didn't want you, cat, then you are just as stupid as she." Nitsa replied harshly. "So I'll tell you bluntly. Gwynn didn't want a servant. She wanted a friend she could go on adventures with. Someone she could laugh with, talk with, cry with. Someone that would have smacked her if she was being stupid. Someone she could be...open with." The princess sighed. "If you know her parents then you are aware they weren't the most sociable or free spirited sort. The reason she couldn't with you as you are...is because she wasn't sure how to treat you. She didn't wish to lord over you because you were a servant. She thought doing anything with you was simply going to end up using the contract to force you to like or do it."

Nitsa walked over to the kitten again, giving her a soft smack on the top of the head.

"You think because you are a familiar that the relationship between you and her means you would always be subservient, but that is false. A master and servant relationship is far less straight forward. It is much more symbiotic in nature - if the servant fears or always blindly follows what their master says then they themselves will be blinded and in the end, fail to protect their master even from themselves. Masters who abuse or use their position to take advantage of their familiar will find their servants eventually rebelling, or simply being far less stable and of much less use than ones who do not." She turned, twirling a few feet away, her clothing and jewelry creating a vibrant swirl of colors in the evening sun.

"Now, then cat." Nitsa said, stopping and bowing towards Maoin. "It would be best if you go home for now. Ritsa and I shall attend to Gwynn. I am taking better care of that idiot more than you ever were." The princess stood up, laughing lightly with smug grin. "If you are ever in Atlantis do stop by the palace. I could always use a fluffy kitten to pet~"

With another colorful twirl, the princess left in the same direction Gwynn had.
