Prime District Entrance : Heading To My New Home : Excited
"Well then. Thank you mister Gearshield, for lending an old man a hand. I think it's about time for that reward, hmm?"
He cast a beady eye on Lorenzo, seeing he was distracted, before revealing his cupped hands hidden within his long flowing sleeves. He opened his gnarled fingers so only Jarvan could see the selection of oval, macaroon-looking objects in his grasp.
There was one red, one blue, one purple, one pink, one green, one orange and one yellow.
"Well go on then, what are you gawking at? Take one!" he taunted in good humour, his voice filled with mirth.
Jarvan started momentarily at the colors, anyone of them? Picking between seven with no knowledge was a bit much. His favorite color was probably the best way to go. But then he was torn between red, yellow, and orange, as they all reminded him of working in the forge. After being stumped and scratching his head momentarily he said, "Hm, I'm stuck between these three." Pointing at the ones he was considering he continued, "Which one do you think best suites me?"
Augustus looked contemplative for a moment as he pondered his answer. "I suppose," he says, plucking at the tiny metallic macaroon-shaped things. He took a few in one hand and left the Pink, Blue, Orange and Purple devices in his hand, nodding approvingly to himself.
"I would say these remind me most of you. Of course, you are still free to choose from any." The old man finished, now holding the rest of the trinkets in his right hand and the ones he'd picked out specially in his left.
Ah! He'd just made things worse, splitting the colors he would've chosen with those now offered. It would be rude to ask for advice and then not take it, so Jarvan had already eliminated the thought of taking from those not offered. Apparently the pink one matched himself, which might be taken as an insult by some but Jarvan merely found amusing. But what was this? Orange was in the group as well. somewhat hidden beneath the others. Relieved by his previous criteria combining with the old man's recommendation making his choice easy Jarvan carefully picked out the orange one. "I believe I'll take this one, just er, one question. How do I use it?"
Augustus pressed the object into his hand with wild, old-man glee. "Throw it on the ground in front of you when you need it, and it will become apparent." He said, his gaze lingering on the student for a moment before he finally let go and leaned back in his chair.
"Well then, I think that's enough excitement for one day." he sighed contentedly, peering over Jarvan's shoulder to watch some new students have a bit of an interlude. It seemed a young Peacemaker had decided to step into the fray.
He turned his attention back to the man in front of him, "I'll be keeping an eye on you, my boy. Goodbye for now." And with that he stood up with a creak, clicking his back, and painfully slowly shuffled past Jarvan off to the main campus.

Jarvan nodded, looking at the odd object curiously. Well those instructions were somewhat vague, but he wasn't one to look a gift horse the mouth. shaking his head at the strangeness of the old man Jarvan checked the names of those he'd be sharing it with again. Hmm, he didn't really know any of them. Oh well, that would change soon enough. Jarvan had a cheery smile on his face as he began heading towards his dorm.
