@Zarkun Do you have a convincing argument as to why we need gyms? The RP is player/character-driven, and there current isn't a need for them, per se. I'd be open to bringing it up to Balthazar, but there would have to be a good reason or it's going to get delayed until the more important things are settled.

The biggest reason would be the...I don't know if appeal is quite the right word, but something along those lines, for the characters who wish to ultimately face down or even become the regions champion. And the traditional roadblocks to that, besides an Elite 4 and Victory Road, is the 8 required Gym badges. I don't know, maybe I'm just attached to the system and the work it encourages battle happy players to put in to earn a final victory. Just something I'd enjoy and I think would provide some interesting plot points.

@Zarkun Sorry about the double post, but I was wondering, would you be interested in a gym-themed organisation? Something like this:

1 point: Post in a location that has a gym
5 points: Challenge a gym leader
10 points: Earn a badge

That way, there would be yet another reason for gyms. It would be one of many routes people could choose to go down.

I'm tagging you two since you're both directly being affected by it, but really this message is kinda for everyone.

So right now we have two price systems: the prices from the header post, and the prices from the site Balth created. Going by the header prices, Cat has spent 30CP whereas Toad has spent 45CP. Going by site prices, Cat has spent 40CP (25-skilled, 15-location) whereas Toad has still spent 45CP (20-organization, 25-skilled). I'm currently discussing it with Balthazar, but just a heads up :)

All right. Balth and I have decided to go by site prices, so here's the grand total of CP spent:

@toadropes -- 45CP (20-organization, 25-skilled)

@luckyblackcat -- 60CP (15-location, 25-skilled, 20-organization)

I'll be updating the doc for CP promptly, but we are now formally transitioning to site prices. It'll be more expensive, but it's also the future of this thread so better to transition earlier.
