After a costly mistake, the match finished surprisingly fast. Instead of going with an electric attack, she instead opted to use Leer, as a means to setup for a hammer arm, which proved to be her down fall. Zap didn't have much going for it in turns of defense, so it was a bad game plan. Not to mention that the opponent used her initial attacks to build up rage, increasing its attack power ever more. It was her mistake, she knew, no one to blame for it but herself. While she would've liked to have won, it was fun nonetheless. Though, her and Zap don't plan on losing next time. She would be much different if that time ever came. With that said, she used a revive on zap.

She paid to mind to his taunts and smiled brightly despite it all. After seeing Ruby's little outburst, she couldn't help but laugh as she petted Ruby's head. "Haha! It's fine, it's fine! It was fun but we'll get him next time!" Despite her laughing at Ruby's little outburst, she was actually happy seeing it. Despite barely knowing each other, Ruby got angry and cried for her sake regardless. Afterwords, Danilo's Fletching flew up and gave her a little peck on the cheek. It was almost as if the pokemon thought she feeling down about it and did that to try to cheer her up. Maybe, Maybe not.

Think it was adorable she smiled, however, Zap, who was a bit banged up from the battle, managed to find the energy to glare at Francis as if it committed a grave sin or something. With a sigh, she raised Zap's pokeball. "I know how you feel about it, but save it for later and rest up." Despite some grumbling, Zap relented and went back inside the pokeball. She was all in favor for the slumber party idea, with Ruby's house being near, however, she wasn't sure having an older male having a sleep over with 2 underaged girls was a great idea.

I don't know how are parents are, but I just can't imagine them taking that too well...

From the bushes emerged a pile of eggs, rolling towards Lusitania and Luna. Then the eggs opened their eyes. It was an Exeggcute looking to fight, and they had just found a suitable challenger. The Exeggcute preemptively used Reflect to protect itself than prepared for battle with its classic corky smirk.

Leo in his journey to find the group again would come across a large flower, coming up to his knee in height, along with a Flabebe clinging to it. It didn't look like it had noticed Leo yet, so he could attack it if he wanted to.

Sadie on her journey to Amalgam University would see a Gulpin relaxing on the path, not asleep but not doing anything particularly exciting either. Just relaxing, possibly digesting a meal if the scraps of food lying around said anything about the situation.

Talonite

Talonite picked up his wallet and Pokedex, shaking his head as the delinquents ran off. "Honestly they have nobody to blame but themselves. Even if they had won your mother would've just beat them down instead of paying for blackmail." Talonite checked his Gastly with his Pokedex and sighed.

Talonite called out Necro and pulled out a small diamond shaped object from his jacket pocket, revealing it to be a Revive. Talonite fed the Revive to Necro and watched him wake up from his forced sleep. "Ya did good little demon. Let's go." He didn't recall Necro, instead letting him float alongside Talonite and York. "I say we rest for a bit, our Pokemon deserve that after the battle they just we through."

Route 9

The way to Brittanium City
@Amaterasu@TalijaKey@itano123@I-Am-X

As the group went along the road they saw some police officers keeping people out of a particular path. The stone path that led into the forestry along the route was deserted, though the officer was kind enough to share info on the situation.

"I'm sorry, but there seems to be a rampaging Ursaring back there... It seems to have wandered from it's home deeper in the forest and-", the officer stopped speak as he stepped aside to one, then two, and then a small group of Eevees sprinting past him and the group of trainers. Pretty soon it became apparent why they were running. There was an Ursaring barrelling at them at full speed, it seemed intent on chasing the Eevees down, but before they knew it, the Ursaring was rampaging through the streets.

"Ah that's no good... I'll have to call some of the Pokemon Rangers now... You kids stay back alright? That Ursaring's pretty strong", and with that the officer was off to make a call while a bunch others went in to try and calm the situation until the Rangers could come and take care of it.

The Eevees running onto things and all over the place directed Ursaring's rampage as it destroyed everything, from park benches to lamp posts. Whoever these Eevees were, they were definitely troublemakers.

Sadie clapped her hands together that they were about to get the adventure on the road. However, Lusitania instantly started walking off, and Leo ran off after his Gible. Sadie and Chance stood their in a daze that the other two had gone off without at least trying to wait. Then all of a sudden Chance decided sprinting ahead was helpful. It took a matter of a minute for Sadie to get left behind. Gigaton wasn't very fast so there was no way that Sadie and Gigaton could keep up with the others. Sadie looked down to her Roggenrola and said, "Hopefully, they realize they left us behind before getting to far ahead."

After about 45 minuets of walking Sadie said, "Okay. Either we're lost or they forgot about us." Sadie looked around and soon realized that she couldn't even see the lake from wherever she was. Sounding a little frightened, "Uhh, Gigaton. I was joking about being lost before, but now I'm not so sure. Can you hear the lake? If so please hurry and get us there." The small rock looked up to her trainer and shook her and said Roggen Rog Rola which probably meant You can count on me! The Pokemon did a quick 360 to try and pick up the sound of water. Once it located the closest source of water sounds it started walking in that direction.

Sadie walked slowly behind her closest friend, both literally and figuratively, when they suddenly heard a noise directly to the right of them coming from a bush. "EEEP!" Sadie quickly went to the opposite side of Gigaton from the bush and Gigaton moved to protect her trainer. "Hello?"

They stood there for a bit and when no more noise came from behind the bush Sadie slowly made her way over and peeked through, and there it was in its wonderful glory. The lake and the path that they were suppose to be taking. Sadie and Gigaton took a step onto the path when Sadie saw a green thing(?) laying on the path. She pulled out her Pokedex to scan it and what came back was, Gulpin, the Stomach Pokémon. Gulpin is able to swallow items of its own size whole, as its stomach compresses most of its body. Its unique stomach acid allows it to digest almost anything.

"Well, that's interesting. Gigaton, do you think we should add it to our party?" Gigaton looked up at Sadie and responded with a, Rog Roggen. All right then. Went through Sadie's mind. She walked out onto the path and pulled out a Pokeball. She waited for Gigaton to be standing in front of her before she threw the pokeball right at the Gulpin.

"Alright! It's time to start training!"

He stood there proudly for a moment with Blitzy and the unnamed Feebas. Wait-- how exactly are they going to train. After some critical thinking, Chance grabbed a small log and placed it in the middle of a field, gesturing for Feebas to attack it.

"Go, you got this!"

His voice was filled with confidence, until... it splash around helplessly...

"Er- y-yeah! You'll get it! Eventually..."

Confidence was fading as the Feebas flopped even farther away from its target... eventually he just sat back watching for a while.

Thud

"Huh- what was that?"

Chance woke up to the sound, he had fallen asleep watching the Feebas attempt at an attack. Woah, the sun has moved pretty far since then...

"Heeey! You did it!~"

He raised his arms in celebration once more, getting up to pat the Feebas on the- uh... back? Yeah. Fish have backs... -right? Chance was about the set the log back up before he realized... where was Blitzy. He looked around quietly, maybe she was lurking in the bushes. Wait, there's a bird? Huh... he stared at the bird, scanning it with his pokedex. Spearow... cool I guess? Another Spearow fluttered by, landing next to the other one. And another one-- and wait there are a ton of Spearows here. Then suddenly, loud cawing was heard and followed by the bushes rustling- then Blitzy popped out, sprinting quickly by Chance.

"Wait-- BLITZY!? Where are you going!?"

He turned around, watching his partner run off before checking back behind him. Oh... better start running too. A whole mob of Spearows had been chasing Blitzy-- and so, was now chasing him. Chance quickly grabbed the Feebas and made a run for it. RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING, as he sprinted towards Blitzy, Spearow after Spearow would attempt to swoop by and peck at him. A few would hit their mark as he quickly shooed them off, continuing to run. Run run run run run... He'd catch up with Blitzy, picking her up as well, carrying both his pokemon with him until- BAM, dead end. Chance was met with a hill side and a ton of Spearows at him. Crap crap crap... think think think.

"BLITZY GO!"

Blitzy would nod, hopping off his shoulder... Chance didn't want her to battle, but facing a night full of Spearow peckings wasn't a very good option either. Honestly he didn't quite remember most of the moves Blitzy could preform... or did he? Hmm, he thought-- but there wasn't much time for it so he shouted the first thing that came to mind.

"FAKE OUT!"

The skitty would charge toward a mob of Spearow, coming to a full stop as she spun herself around-- smacking a few of them in the face with her tail. Many of them flinched, giving Blitzy a chance for another attack before she was pecked.

"Blitzy use tackle!"

Blitzy would lunge forward, swiping at the crowd with her claws. A few of them would fly off in fear, cawing loudly into the evening sky. The remaining Spearow would begin assaulting the skitty, quickly swarming her with peck after peck, but she'd stay in strong while Chance thought of another attack.

"Ugh- uh- tickle?"

Chance didn't sound very confident-- but it was the best he could think of and thankfully it was a move Blitzy could actually take advantage of. Blitzy spun around once more, swinging her tail around at the Spearows that surrounded her, her fuzzy tail would tickle them. Now the Spearow were open for an attack!

"Alright! Let's finish this off with another tackle!"

Blitzy quickly went to work, clawing at the Spearow with critical damage after they left themselves open. The remaining Spearow flew off, and so... Blitzy and Chance won the battle. Hopefully Feebas had learned something too... she had been watching under Chance's arm the whole time, maybe she could learn how to tackle... but now they needed to rest it was getting late and-- AW CRAP ITS THEIR LEADER! A mighty bird come swooping from the sky, glaring down at the small squad. Chance slowly raised his pokedex at the pokemon. Fearow.

"W-well... it's a fitting name- RUN!"

With Feebas still in his arms, Chance quickly sprinted forward as he sweeped up Blitzy. Run run run ruuuun! The Fearow would dive down at him as he rushed towards Blitzy, smacking into the ground as Chance made his escape. Now Chance was running away once more, this time from a much LARGER threat. After a few more minutes though the big bird would grow tired of this chase, flying off as Chance exiting the bushes smacking right into a- a tree? Wait-- that isn't a tree?!

"Who do we have here?"

Chance had smacked right into Lusitania...- and wait were those eggs?

"Uh- Hey! Lusi..."

Chance at this point, was most likely a mess. Covered from bruises caused by pecking Spearow and scratches from the tough branches of nearby bushes and trees. Blitzy seem a bit hurt as well, under Chance's right arm-- under his left arm would be a Feebas.

Leo looked down at the tiny pokemon on the floor somewhat curiously. He had to admit, the thing looked adorable. Once more, he pulled out his pokedex and scanned the tiny creature.

"Flabébé, the Single Bloom Pokémon. It draws out and controls the hidden power of flowers. The flower Flabébé holds is most likely part of its body." Not much information compared to the Girafarig they had fought just moments before. Was it newly discovered or something? It felt almost sinful to even consider attacking the thing, the tiny thing looked practically defenseless, far more suited to be a pet than a fighter. He would rather not fight it. Nado seemed to share his sentiments and did not seem to have the same hostility he had for the Girafarig--Girafarig's tail, rather.

"'Scuse me little guy...maybe lady?" Leo crouched down and spoke at Flabébé as gently as he could. "Um...you don't exactly look like you're that big on fighting, but would you be fine with coming along with us on our journey?"

Hey, not everything had to be a battle. Sometimes, even just kind words could win a pokemon's trust. He felt it only right to back off if the little thing would rather have nothing to do with him.

Francis returned to Danilo as they made their way back, opting to perch on the top of the staff as Danilo walked. Curiously looking everywhere. Yet ahead there was some commotion, of course Francis interest was peaked and he fly up and closer. Danilo leasuary walking after him holding a light conversation with the others. As they arrived close enough Danilo heard the police officer explaining why the part was being blocked. Danilo eyes searched for his fletching but couldnt spot him, wondering where did Francis fly off again.

"I'm sorry, but there seems to be a rampaging Ursaring back there..."

Danilo took out the pokedex and put in the name of the pokemon. Hearing how the pokedex informed him how the pokemon had a keen sense of smell and was a good climber. It didnt sound too bad at all. Something brushed by his leg and he looked from his pokdexs just in time to several more eevees run past him, he put the device back.

"Huh?" A tackle hit him in the chest pushing the air out of Danilos lungs. On reflecs he dropped his bag and used the now free hand to cover the bird that fly into him.

"Shhh, I am here. What scared you?" Danilo whispered to his pokemon. He got the answer in form a angry bear pokemon running towards them in its pursuit of the eevees. Danilo raised his staff and jumped backwards and out the way of the big pokemon. Making a mental note to add in the pokedex that the pokemon can get really scary looking when angry, seeing as that is kinda more important to know than if its had a really good smell or not.
"Ah that's no good... I'll have to call some of the Pokemon Rangers now... You kids stay back alright? That Ursaring's pretty strong",

"That is apparent." Danilo spoke lowering his metal staff, it was not like it would be from any use against such a strong looking pokemon. Inside the hand that was still on his chest covering Francis, he felt the pokemon shift with a chip. Danilo moved his hand and saw the fletching looking with questioning and doubt in its eyes at him.

"I am here. We could help them." He spoke so only his pokemon could hear seeing how some trainers already stepped up to try and contain the situation to some degree. A unsure chip came from the bird pokemon, and Danilo leaned to give a kiss on top of the bird head. "I know its strong and scary, but you are never alone. You have me to impress and a few females pokemon. What do you say? Shall we help them together?"

The fletching nodded in a new wave of determination. With a deep breath focusing. Seeing that Danilo grinned, he throw Francis into the air calling out. "Tailwind! Support our group!" It was Francis first time he used the whirlwind to support anyone else but himself. It was the reason it felt somewhat weaker than normal as the pokemon focused more to aim the wind correctly for his friends. Still it would give them all a boost in their speed. The wind pushing into their backs and flowing around their movements and attacks.

Danilo observed the scene unfolding in front of him, the eevee were not appearing as if they were running away for their lives. It was more like... Danilo smirked realizing the little troublemakers were all but directing the stronger pokemon attacks. It was quite an impressing coregrafie if one would subtract the destruction, that is.

"Good! Fly so that the winds carry dirt into the eevee eyes." He called out and Francis chipped flying directly over some of pokemon heads the tailwind carrying and wiping up some of the dirt towards them. "Keep your distance from the Ursaring." Danilo called, fearful for Francis to get hit by it. Even so Danilo observed as Francis did a half loop maneuver to change his direction and was now going directly towards one eevee. Using Peck on the top of the pokemon head.

Danilo sweatdropped. Yup that must be a female one... Maybe he should attempt to catch her? Plus with less eevees maybe it will get harder to direct that other pokemon to smash things around? Less targets to be angry at? It was worth a shot. His hand went towards the inside pocket of his coat and pulled out a ball to have ready.

"Keep using Peck!" Danilo called out much to complete delight of Francis. Who adored the idea of keep giving pecks to her. The unspoken try to guide her closer to me, was silently understood.

"Chance, you want it?" Lusitania gestured toward the fainted pile of eggs. She wasn't going to toss a pokeball at them, The thing had tried to use her dog as a food source. Not cool.

"...are they edible?" Chance's only concern right now was food, and it showed. He didn't even realize it, but... those eggs... scrambled, could be good...-- unless they're poisonious or something.

"Probably are, but I don't want to be liable for killing something that gave me a good battle, leave it be, the Exeggcute has earned its keep." Lusitania said as she pulled out a few pellets of pokefood from her backpack, dropping them in a small pile next to the fainted creature. She made sure of course to throw some towards Luna, whom happily jumped up and ate it with a bark.

"So... should we uhm- set up? I can cook some food if you can start a fire." Chance scratched his neck a bit, hehe-- probably shouldn't eat pokemon... not one of those rich jerks who eat slowpoke tails and sharpedo fins. He did have ingredients to make a simple stew though, and even if he isn't the perfect chef he could still make more than cereal and sandwiches.

"Do you even have a tent?" Lusitania stared at him. Luna padding up to start sniffing the Feebas in his arms. She bared her teeth at it as if to intimadate it like she was pretending she was going to tuck in. "Either way. Fine, I'll make a Fire, lets just look for somewhere suitable to set up camp."

"Yeah... I have a hammock, all I need is two trees, or I could just use it as a sleeping bag..." Chance scouted the area aswell, looking down at Luna as it bared its teeth at the Feebas, it would wiggle around in his arms a bit before slipping out, trying to slap Luna with its tail before trying to flop away. "Feebas! Gah- nooo..." He'd try to return the Feebas to its pokeball before anything horrible could happen.

Lusitania laughed at the flopping feebas. Not because it was ugly or weak like some may think but because it was funny to watch Chance go after it. "Luna, Fetch." She said as Luna gently held the Feebas in its teeth and returned it to chance, trying to ignore the fish slapping its tail in their face.

Chance whinced a bit, unsure if the Feebas would be okay as it helplessly flopped in Luna's maw. He quickly returned Feebas to it's pokeball, giving Luna a "thank you" pat anyway.

Luna barked from the praise. Lusitania sighed getting bored again. "So are you going to find a spot or what?" She said impaitently. "And why are you the only one who's here, where the hell is everyone else?" She said annoyed.

"Well... Leo just ran off and after he did I realized you had ran off too, so when I left I thought Sadie was right behind me... but I had lost her too." Chance would speak as he walked around, Blitzy following behind him as he searched for a nice clearing.

Lusitania followed at a slow walking pace, listening to what the boy had to say. Luna weaving between her legs excited for food.

"Then I figured out how to catch pokemon after catching a Feebas that slapped me in the face while I was admiring the lake's water." Chance would pull out a small pot from his bag, proping it up with a few sticks. "And then... after that I tried to train the Feebas, which... took a long time and so I feel asleep. Then I woke up, then Blitzy had attracted a large mob of Spearows that chased us off... then we got cornered and had to fight them, THEN after scaring them away a FEAROW showed up! SO, I took off and ran-- and ended up finding you out here." Chance went on and on with his story, setting up the small cooking pot with some sticks and tinder for the fire under it.

"Sounds fun." Lusitania chuckled as she started to kindle the fire beneath the cooking pot. Eventually getting bored of it, so she just struck the stick and lit the fire. Wondering when the hell everyone else would arrive.

Sadie pulled out another Pokeball and threw it directly at the Gulpin hitting it square in the forehead. Now she just had to hope it worked. The Gulpin was sucked into the Pokeball and it began to rock back and forth. Once, twice, thrice...

Click!

"YESSSS!" Both Sadie and Gigaton jumped for joy that they already had a new friend. Sadie rushed over to pick the Pokeball up. She released her new teammate and used a revive to wake the new addition up. The green Pokemon blinked its eyes awake looking at the ones who had just caught it. "Welcome to the team. I'm gonna call you Goopy." The Gulpin sat still for a bit then she went Gulpin! which Sadie assumed meant Goopy is fine by me.

Sadie said, "The three of us are gonna have an awesome adventure together."

Only a few minutes of walking later and Sadie could see two figures with Pokemon at there side getting ready to cook up some food for the night. "LUSI! CHANCE!" she screamed as her an Gigaton picked up speed. When she finally got to them she had to take a moment to catch her breath, "Y'all left us behind."

The Flabébe turned around and looked at Leo curiously, circling him and observing him as if he was a curiosity in her life. Finally she came back to his cell and giggled, tapping him on the nose and settling on the ground. It seemed as if he had just passed her inspection and she seemed willing to join up with him.

Further down the path he would find the rest of his group he had split off from, as they impatiently waited for him to return. Nado would be able to smell them, along with a hurt Exeggcute that was moving away from the campsite.

The Excavation Site Crew

- Roxanne (@Shadeflare123), Novis (@Sen), Aiden (@Deos Morran)

it had been a busy day at the excavation site for archaeologist Stephen as he was doing his usual inspections around the site. While it was true that the site wasn't that big, it did have several levels, so to speak. There were also several caves that they had dug out in search of fossils, and those closer to the surface were often now occupied with pokemon who would get in the way of the various scientists' work. It was rather difficult to deal with, seeing as a majority of the workers weren't trainers themselves, and so Stephen was often left to deal with the problems. But today, as he was getting closer to the top, he saw a group of what he presumed to be trainers with how their pokemon were out in the open visiting. He didn't mind them, and while he thought of going over to inspect a nearby cave for pokemon, he instead saw something else that caught his eye. Was it a fossil, by chance? Why, it was certainly worth looking at, and as he knelt down to inspect the eroded rocks, he heard the shouts of one of the trainers towards his direction.

"Hey, you guys need assistance with your fossil expeditions Me and my pals over there, we're bonafide Pokemon Rangers!"
Pokemon...rangers? He didn't notice any capture stylus' on them or out in the open, and they didn't appear to be that strong given their pokemon stages. He deduced, then, that they were most likely trainers who the professor oh so loved to call every once in awhile, instead leaving Stephen to think of some sort of appropriate response to them. That was, until, his friend decided to cover for him.

"I'm terribly sorry sir. What he means to say is that we couldn't help but notice your hard work and were curious about lending our aid, or just learning from it while we're here. We're not Pokemon Rangers, but I would add those adjectives to our name considering you don't know us yet."

Stephen smiled at the young man's honesty, also noting the girl's seemingly timid nature.

"Quite." He replied towards the pleasure to meet him response, continuing with, "Well, seeing as you seem determined to aid us, there is a task I would like you to settle here in the excavation site. You see," He paused, pointing towards several caves behind the group," We made several caves so that we could dig into the ground and find fossils, but as of late there have been several disturbances due to pokemon becoming aggressive and taking over them. They've caused a ruckus with our search for fossils..." He was pacing back and forth for a bit, wondering if he should ask them to go in before ultimately deciding so.

"If you would be so kind, go into these caves and find the pokemon responsible for annoying us. Capture them, knock them out, do what you will, and report back to me when you do so."

Before the scientist could muster a reply, Aiden suddenly jumped in beside Novis and completely ruined the whole thing by refusing to play along. Nov shot him a glare, but couldn't hold it for long before bursting out into a chuckle. The exasperation evident on his friends' faces made it worth it, regardless of whatever the scientist guy thought of them now.

Aiden named the team, and the young man seemed to be much more pleased by the wholesome introduction than Nov's grandstanding. Pushing up his glasses by the center, the archaeologist looked at all three of them, and then to their pokemon, before speaking. "Well, seeing as you seem determined to aid us, there is a task I would like you to settle here in the excavation site. You see..."

"We're already on it!" Novis shouted out, snapping his fingers for effect. Nier barked in agreement, wiggling out of Nov's one-armed grip on him.

Ignoring that interruption, the man continued on to actually explain the task at hand. Mid-way, he started to pace around while thinking about something. Nov puffed out his chest-- some random wild pokemon in a fossil site wouldn't be much of a problem at all. At the very least, there was no way they would lose between all three of them. After a bit of consideration, though, the archaeologist turned back towards the group of trainers. "If you would be so kind, go into these caves and find the pokemon responsible for annoying us." He pushed up his glasses again, this time by the side of the frame. "Capture them, knock them out, do what you will; report back to me when you do so."

Novis nodded again, looking over towards the couple of caves the young man had pointed out earlier. He took a few steps towards them before flipping around and pointing at Roxy and Aiden. "I don't wanna leave you guys in the dust again," Novis said, "So hurry up this time!"

Roxy let out a somewhat relieved laugh as Aiden cleared up the situation. Though, now that she thought about it, it would have been kind of funny to pose as Rangers. Then again, they didn't have the capture styluses, but...semantics, right? This guy seemed to be nice enough, if a bit exasperated from work, or something. Roxy's eyes followed his hand as he gestured toward a few caves behind them. "You want us to go...in there?" That was enough to get Roxy a bit less anxious, to say the least. Sure, they were just kids, with relatively low-level Pokemon that had almost just impersonated Pokemon Rangers; and sure, delving into deep, dark caves with almost no clue what's inside was kind of dangerous. And sure, the Pokemon inside could be aggressive due to the excavation going on, but...

Semantics, right?

Novis seemed just as excited, full-on committing to the job even before they knew what they were supposed to do. Roxy was already rocking back and forth on her heels as the archaeologist guy explained what they had to do, which only made her even more excited. She'd been meaning to snatch a rock type when they hit the Ruins, and this seemed to be the perfect time to do so. Besides, getting away from all these "painful-reminders-of-her-parents-who-are-probably-scared-out-of-their-minds-because-of-her" sorts of things might just be a good idea. Novis took a few steps toward the caves, making Roxy think he was going to go rush off again. To her surprise, he turned around with a wide grin and told them to hurry up. Roxy grabbed Lucina and pulled her into her arms before running off toward the caves. Nothing like a combination of anxiousness and excitement to motivate someone, right? "Race you guys there, then!" she called over her shoulder.

Aiden listened intently on what the archaeologist had to say before smiling at his teammates. Glad to see that they were all gungho for the adventure. Roxy let her timid and uneasy look fade away. Novis didn't seem so annoyed by the prospect of, "just looking at rocks all day." And now they were ahead of him. Regardless he was set to join them and before long he spoke up to say, "What my energetic friend said was true, we'll take care of it and don't you worry. We'll be back soon with good news!" From there Aiden ran after his friends, Zorex staying close by and once again smiling from ear to ear like he always did. Adventure awaited and now they had their first real quest.

Aiden followed his friends into the caves and regardless of how the light situation was inside he reached into his pack to pull out a small but seemingly bright flashlight to light their way into the possibly dark caves. Though the deeper they went the more uneasy Zorex seemed to get. He was in his element persay, but he spent almost all of his life running around in fields and through trees, not cooped up in a small cave.

Aiden was quick to support his friend, patting him on his head to reassure him that no matter what he was there to help him get through this strange new type of landscape. It seemed to work too as that big lovable grin came back to Zorex's face, even if he was still a tad upset by his surroundings.

"Keep an open eye guys. The archaeologist said there was aggresive Pokemon here so make sure they don't get the drop on you." Aiden said trying to look out for his companions, even if they most likely already new that this wasn't exactlya friendly situation.

Location: Route 9

"Hm? That a yes, then?" Leo raised an eyebrow in confusion. The Flabébe nodded her head happily, Nado did the same in joy.

"Heh. Glad to hear it little I'm gonna guess lady. That's what the red symbol in the dex meant, right?" Leo opened up a palm and let the fairy climb onto it. He stroked the top of her head with his index finger. He then dug through his pockets and expanded a minimized pokeball. "Wait...I guess I should give you a name right? Let's see...um? Bebe? Flabi? Fairy thing? Flower thing? Flabia?"

Flabébé let out a cry when he mentioned the name "Flabia".

"Really? That one? Well, it's your name, I guess. Welcome aboard Flabia!" Leo expanded the pokeball and let its red light contain Flabia within it. Rather than shake, the ball's center lighted up red, then went back to gray. Immediately after, Leo took it out of its ball, as it was more of a standard ritual they had to go through than anything else. He really disliked putting his pokemon away unless it was an absolute necessity.

"C'mon, you can just stay on my shoulder for now." Instead, Flabia floated up to Leo's head and closed her eyes comfortably on his head, not releasing her grip on her flower for a single moment. "Or you can do that."

"We should probably introduce ourselves to our other party member, huh, Nado?" Nado did not reply to his trainer's questions. He was a bit hesitant to see that stupid tail again.

"What, scared of getting your horns ripped off?" Leo teased his tiny companion. "Whether you like it or not, we have to see the guy. This is still a team effort." Again, no response.

"Stubborn little...come on out!" Leo threw the Girafarig's pokeball into the air. It looked towards him with apprehension, but dared not run away. A look of fear was evident in its eyes.

"Calm down, I can't exactly heal you if you'll run at the drop of a hat." Leo sprayed the potion onto the Girafarig and watched as it was healed right before his eyes. "For you two, how do Gira and Frig sound."

No answer. Leo sighed. At least he tried coming up with good nicknames...

"I'll take that as a yes. Nado, lead the way." The Gible caught a whiff of the scents of the other three trainers and started running like a madman. Leo rushed once more to keep up with him while Gira reluctantly did the same.

On their way there, they spotted an injured Exeggcute. A bunch of them, rather. Out of compassion, Leo healed the pokemon with another one of his potions. Fighting against an injured foe seemed plain wrong, anyway.

"Come see me tomorrow for a fight, will ya?" And with that, Leo left the mon completely alone. He could tell it had a rough day.

--------------------

"Hey, I was wondering where you guys disappeared." Leo greeted his traveling partners, feeling very proud to show them all the pokemon he caught. He glanced over at the meal Chance was preparing. Huh. It would feel weird to eat something he didn't make on his own, that much was for sure. "Catch anything new?"

The Excavation Cave Crew

- Roxanne (@Shadeflare123), Novis (@Sen), Aiden (@Deos Morran)

As they would delve deeper into the cave, the pathways were lightly illuminated with faint, tiny lightposts, just enough to see the walls nearby, and barely ahead. After all, the archaeologists did need light to at least spot some sort of difference in the walls. Speaking of which, there were chunks missing here and there, most likely from various discoveries they had made. The only signs of pokemon life inside was the constant, eerie feeling that while they walked, they could feel something staring at them in the darkness. Several pairs of eyes would occasionally reveal themselves, only to scamper away the moment they were noticed into smaller holes, most likely made by the pokemon they were hunting.

As soon as Aiden told them not to let them get the drop on 'em, what sounded like a drill could be heard from the wall above them. It was faint at first, like a slight humming sound that gradually got louder until suddenly, the ceiling above them began to shake. It then began to crack slightly, dirt dust falling to the ground below before finally 3 pokemon burst from a hole in the ceiling where the crack was, a drilbur spinning down and landing in front of the group, a rockruff and larvitar in tow. What was interesting, however, was that the larvitar was also holding a small bag that looked like it belonged to the scientists, with various stones shining in the light as they were barely visible from the opening in the bag. The larvitar tossed it to the side, to which all 3 of them were looking for a battle. They all were shouting at the trainers, telling them in pokemon language how this was their cave now and anything in it belonged to them, and if they didn't leave they'd make 'em leave.

Chance

Route 9 : Road to Amalgam University

"Sounds fun." Chance chuckled, but only slightly. That better be sarcasm...-- "Yeah, but did it hurt..." Chance took out a slightly larger pot, hanging it underneath the smaller one-- holding the bottom of the pot to make sure the structure wouldn't collapse until he was confident in its stability. He'd take out a canteen, taking a drink out of it before offer Blitzy a bowl which he poured some water in. Blitzy was exhausted and needed a quick refreshing drink, lapping up the water gently. Things were calm... "LUSI! CHANCE!" Whoops, spoke too soon.

Chance would jolt up once again, almost 1:1 on how he reacted when he first met Sadie. "Y'all left us behind." He didn't have the time to respond, after Lusitania lit the fire he assumed she'd talk to her while he cooked. Chance shook his head, he needed to get back to work now. With the canteen still in hand he poured some water into both pots, trapping the remaining water back in the canteen.

He'd grab a small teabag, placing it in the smaller pot. Honestly he wasn't sure why he packed tea... he didn't even drink tea at home-- but nonetheless he had it, and he was going to make tea. Next, he'd dump a bit of dried meat into the pot below. It was kinda like jerky though not as tough, so the water could probably rehydrate it by the time it was finished. Now... just a few herbs and spices, just a bit...-- after adding the flavor he pulled out a ladle, stirring the soup around.

Now all he had to do was wait, Blitzy had finished drinking the water-- so Chance grabbed the bowl and put it away. He should probably get his hammock up now... he'd walk over to some sturdy looking tree's that were fairly close to the fire, tying the hammock up between the trees. Laying back on the hammock as Blitzy jumped up to chill with him. Time to relax now...- "Hey, I was wondering where you guys disappeared." Well never mind. At this point, the smell of soup and tea had found a decent radius around the cooking pot. Chance sat back up, using the hammock as a seat as he waved over at Leo. Chance-- again, didn't look his best, covered with bruises and scratches, but he held up. Blitzy was in a similar condition, a few marks on her back, but besides that she was fine.

As he was dramatically pointing, Roxy suddenly ran past him. This, of course, would do no good. Novis was not about to be beaten at his own game, so without even waiting to see if Aiden was behind him, he ran after Roxy, dodging past the archaeologists occupying the path to the cave system. Nier was less agile in this department, accidentally charging into peoples' knees and causing an over-all ruckus as the trainers made their way to the first cave entrance they could.

Once they had set foot into the darkness of the cave, Nov slowed down to a walk with Nier, who was panting hard while trotting close behind him. Aiden showed up pretty quickly, and almost immediately whipped out a flashlight from his backpack. Having not planned for this occasion, Nov pulled out his PokeDex and used its screen's light to investigate things close up. Well, not that he investigated much, since it was mostly just boring rock the excavation team already dug through, but still. It was good to know exactly where he was stepping.

Once they were a little ways in, the outside world's light was starting to dwindle away, leaving only the faint light of lampposts and the few flashlight-esque objects they had on hand. It was at this post that Aiden reminded them of the task at hand: aggressive Pokemon. They had to be prepared to fight anything that popped out, in case it were one of the ones causing the whole issue. Nier didn't seemed too happy with the whole prospect, ducking inbetween Nov's legs with little growls, as he walked on besides the others. Both trainer and Pokemon where decisively out of their element, and Nov didn't like how many rock type Pokemon there were bound to be in the, well, rock cave. If anything, that meant Nov had to be extra careful they didn't get jumped, since their key to beating anything right now was not getting hit at all.

"How far down does this thing go?" Nov muttered, trying to figure out if there was a rhyme or rhytm to how the tunnel was dug. It was as he pondered this that he felt a small cloud of dirt fall onto his head. At that, he looked up at the ceiling of the cave, only to see nothing obviously wrong. Roxy and Aiden had walked a little further on as Nov stood under the mystery spot, but it quickly became apparent what happened when there a crash came from up ahead. At the sound of a Pokemon cry, Nov dashed forward, almost bowling over his two friends in the process of getting to the frontline. Nov couldn't help but crack a cocky look at the sight of the trio of thugs they encountered. As the dust cleared, a Drilbur, Rockruff, and Larvitar emerged from the ceiling and gave some bravado.

"Oh, they want to throw down!" Nov shouted, pumping his fist forward. At that signal, Nier jumped out from behind him and spewed out a few sparks of fire. When the Larvitar threw its bag to the side, Nov couldn't help but notice a shimmer from inside. Were they stealing non-boring rocks from the scientists?! Now that's dirty, and dirty means getting taken dow-- actually, nevermind about that phrasing. Regardless, Nov and Nier both knew they were at a disadvantage, but confidence was the key to victory!

"My Berry versus Venny's Zenny~? Ehehe, that doesn't sound like such a bad idea~! Ruby will consider it in the future~" The little girl flashed a smile, hiding her true yandere possible ill intentions behind it. She had a score to settle with all the attention his Sylveon was getting back at Beryllium City and the owner could feel that Berry would've loved to get even.

With the exciting news of being able to join and perform at Pokemon contests, Ruby could hardly wait to inform her mom about the good news. It was a step towards her stardom after all, any parent would be proud! Giggling to herself at the thought of being praised by her parents, the strawberry blond girl hadn't noticed that her traveling companions came to a halt. She stopped in her tracks to direct her head towards the blocked path, almost missing what the police officer just said.

"A-An Ursaring? Sounds really dangerous, Ruby thinks we should leave--" Before Ruby could finish her shaky statement with a terrified expression upon her face, a flash of Eevees and trainers passed by. Not long after, the thing that caused her to shake in fear, suddenly burst out of the blocked path and onto the streets. A high pitched scream came from the girl and not a moment later, she and her Sylveon hid behind the police officer.

Upon hearing the word 'Pokemon Ranger' being mentioned from the officer's mouth, Ruby spoke in between sniffs, "I-I wish daddy was here... He-He'd know what to do." After the police officer went off to call the Pokemon Rangers, the little girl hid in the bushes, hoping it would all be over soon. While she cowered in fear with Berry in her arms, she could distinctly hear Danilo commanding his Pokemon, as if he were willing enough to help solve the situation.

"Berry... I-I'm scared... But Danny and Francy... D-Do you think we can help?" The Sylveon, who was equally terrified from the situation they were in, hesitantly nodded towards her owner. Berry seemed willing to help, as long as it didn't put both of them in too much danger. Jumping out of her owner's arms, Berry reluctantly jumped out of the bushes, just to feel as if wind was causing her to move faster. Ruby followed after her Pokemon and stood on her feet out of the bushes before giving a command to Berry.

"Berry, use Disarming Voice!" The Sylveon let out a cry, causing some sort of beam of hearts to form and aim towards the Ursaring. Not only did it never miss every time Berry would use it in their performance practices, but it had a charming tone that could emotionally calm one who hears it. Would it work on the Ursaring or not, Ruby didn't know, but it was worth a try.

As they moved further down the road, they came across some police officers that seemed to be blocking off a particular path, making sure no one gets past them. They weren't sure what was going on but thankfully there was an officer who was kind enough to fill them in. Apparently, there was a rampaging Ursaring further down the path. Rampaging Ursaring? I thought they normally kept to themselves. Unless it mating season for them or something...

The officer stopped as a small group of Eevee sprinted past them along with a loud, angry roar. ...Or something Provoked it. Looking at the fleeing Eevees, she laughed. As the others went into action to help with the situation, she too decided to get involved but in a different way. With Ruby trying to calm down the Ursaring and Dan trying to stop the Eevee's, Lucy decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. After all, an Ursaring wouldn't leave its Nest, going berserk as chasing someone down just for the hell of it. Not to mention the fact they seem to be intentionally luring the pokemon to destroy things.

So naturally, she thought it was fair game to mess with them to make them see what they did wrong. Education is important, you know? Taking out her pokeball, she brought Zap back out after a short rest. Confused as to what was going on, she pointed with her thumb, to the Ursaring and Fleeing Eevees before grinning. After a momentary pause, Zap to was grinning, getting her intent. They were no strangers to pranking the locals back in Brass Town, after all, so it was just another routine game. She then began pointing to locations near the Eevees and having Zap send thundershocks, breaking branches, scattering leaves on or near them.

Just when they stopped in confusion, she had Zap hit them with a light thundershock in the backside, silently laughing at their reactions as they began to scatter. Giving Zap a signal, they chased after one of the Eevees. "Not fun being on the receiving end, huh?" she asked as they cornered it. "Can't really blame you, getting a rise out of others is quite fun. Though, you should probably be more careful when it comes to picking your next target." Aware that the pokemon might not understand her.

"Hmm," Picking a berry off the ground and began tossing and catching it in her hands. "I know, since you like playing around, how about a race?" She showed the berry to the Eevee. "It's simple I'll throw a berry to you and Zap, the first one to retrieve it wins. If Zap wins, you get your little friends to calm down and stop causing trouble (that involves things being damaged or destroyed anyways). If you win," Pulling out her bag, she revealed tasty looking pokefood. "You get this." Zap looked at her wide-eyed, his grins fading as he started complaining, basically saying 'HEY! THAT'S MINE!' "So how about it?" she grinned at the little Eevee.
