How would pokemon go about learning TMs in this? Or will there be no way for pokemon to learn such moves?

I guess TMS would essential be Disks that you (break? / not break?) and that applying them to a pokemon that is legible teachs them the move.

I always imagined TMS to be something akin to video tutorials on how to do -name of attack- You play them on your pokedexs to your pokemon until he/she gets the drift and manages to do it. Just like fitness and yoga videos.

It really just varies from story to story. Here, they use a cube to transmit the data.

Pokemon as a series has a strange relationship with Science. Like in the Pokemon World, there's effortless teleportation, reviving long dead species of Pokemon back from the dead with only fossil remains, and Pokeball's as a whole is a miracle of storage. I think using a cube to transfer data to a Pokemon's Brain is one of the less strange things in that world, I mean, there are suits that can withstand the harshness of outer space that wasn't meant for outer space.
