Or is it Sterling silver which contains copper mixed with iron which would make it more durable

That's ok, I just don't have the many years of mentoring advice or trial and error to know what works best like my hunter, so I'll have to do some research after work.

He buys the bolts from the witch hunter store! I don't know how they make em.

Iron was the standard material for bolts was it not?
I imagine it just has notches taken out that have been replaced with silver.
Silver coating has been a standard addition to most rpg's I've played without any additional drawback beside price, so I always imagined it wasnt that technical.
I was imaging a normal cloak of once high quality, with thousands of tiny 'gold needles' exposed and threaded through the underside in a net shape pattern.

Also before this question gets asked that's not a lot of mana moved mainly because the air is already there she just changed its current and the rest of the stuff was on very small things combined with small tools
