Mike was greatly surprised by the first Venonat's appearance and nearly fell over from the shock and speed of the the opposing pokemon. Luckily, Mike was quick enough to see the second pokemon charging Claws from behind.

"Claws! Scratch behind you!" Mike yelled as Claws spun around but was caught in the chest by the Venonat's charge. Claws quickly recovered however and struck the opposing Venonat with a mighty(ish) strike of it's paw.

Christine taked a last bite of her bread, she was ready to continued her journal "Eve, come one" she called at her little Eevee, when she realised it. She saw something blue walking at her other side, close to the river. She turned to look better what it was, but only could see a shell "Shell? Pokemon?" she said wondering if that was a pokemon or not.

She looked at the shell a little while, when remembered a book of pokemons, which she was readed just a day before she left to this journal. Realising now that the shell belonged to the Squirtle the water type pokemon. Thought she was being not too interest about water type pokemon, but she didn't mind to catch this one.

She walked carefully closer to the shell, not wanting to scare it away "Hello, little one, Are you maybe lost?" she asked at the water pokemon. She was rather curious why this pokemon was there all alone.

Violet paused. The venonat was weakened from running into the tree...was it weak enough? She didn't want to hurt it too badly, but if she overestimated how injured it was she'd waste the ball. She eventually decided to go for it, taking her pokeball.

"Pokeball, go!" she threw it at the Venonat....

Claws scratch seemed to wind the venonat who shook gently tackling Claws weakly in return. The venonat clearly expected the surprise attack to be enough as it starts waddling away from claws towards the bushes. @rocketrobie2

The squirtle looked up at the approaching trainer sitting up and hurrying back towards the river a few more squirtle's watching from nearby. The sound of Christine's voice made squirtle turn waddling back towards her "Squirtle squirt?" the small pokemon points happily back to the nearby river a few other water pokemon moving around as it eats its fruit. @Pink Madness

The pokeball hit venonat the ball snapping open capturing the venonat. The ball shook twice before Venonat was captured. Eevee seemed to glow for a second reaching level two. The forest was quite in the sun rise making the trees seem to glow in a beautiful amber light. @medalliah

"Not so fast Bugsy!" Mike yelled as he took aim and tossed a pokeball at the retreating Venonat in the hopes of catching the Pokemon. As he waited to see if the Pokemon would stay, he crouched down beside claws and gave him a little high five in congratulation. He then turned to see that Violet had caught her Venonat.

"I guess that was an ok show from a newbie trainer. You could've done done better but you also could have done worse." Mike said smugly with his arms crossed.

"Huh? Oh! Sorry, I was so zoned in, I didn't notice you! That wasn't much, Ekans did all the work there. I literally didn't say anything for him to do. He's quite resourceful." Richard says, praising Ekans for his good work. Ekans struts around, attempting to impress Zulu, and to show off the pride it felt for winning its first battle, of course, he felt like it was a cakewalk, further inflating his ego.
Richard rolls his eye, gently nudging Ekans to stop his pride parade. "So, you want to go into the forest? Well, we should go prepared!" Richard starts, heading back into his house, before returning with a backpack filled with bottles of water, and berries. "Bringing some food and water, incase we decide to go on an extended training session! The forest is a great place to clear one's head, and relax among nature...." Richard says, proudly.
Ekans looks to Zulu, and sighs. "Ekans. E-ekans.....Ekanss, Ekans." He hisses out. However, to Zulu, this would take on an entirely new meaning. "By extended training ssssesssion, he meanssss getting losssst." Ekans hisses to Zulu, in a friendly way. "Your trainer hassss no idea what sssshe'sssss getting into, Richard hassssss a horrible ssssensssse of direction..."

The ball hit with a small thud shaking violently as the Venonat struggled. A small beep echoed through the woods as the ball closed. The sun was rising in the sky the trainers as they looked around were deeper in the forest then they'd ever gone. The sound of running water was loud to the left the great river nearby as it ran through the forest. The river with any luck could lead them back to the village, but the way could be dangerous as Pinser had been seen in the area. @rocketrobie2 @medalliah

Christine looked at the Squirtle, realising that it wasen't alone and was prbabably wild one too. This situation make her heart beat nervously. She didn't want to scare the little SquirTLe or it's friends, but for a fire type lover, she really wanted one of thoise little guys.

She crouched, still watching at them, wondering how she could catch one without scaring it away or hurting it. The little Eevee sit next to her, waving her fluffy tail like she was waiting her orders to do something.

Moment of silent she just stayed there and looked at them, getting nervous all the time, more and more. Suddently she realised one of the fruits not too far for her, she taked it and throwed it to the Squirtle she was talked to "So do you want to come with me?" she asked shyly, not even thinking how stupid it much to hear.

"Alright! We did it Eevee!" Violet cheered as the ball stopped moving. She ran over to the ball, picking it up and smiling brightly. Eevee mewled happily, jumping round at Violets feet looking so adorable. "Hi Venonat! We're going to be bestest friends! I already know what bow I'm going to give you" she beamed a happy smile at the pokeball, turning back to look at Mike (@rocketrobie2) just in time to see him catch the other Venonat.

"Nice work!" she gave him a thumbs up, smiling "I can hear the river nearby, we can follow that back." She moved in the direction of the water, a skip in her step "come on!"

C.J. smiled sweetly and nodded her head as Richard praised his Ekans. From the corner of her eye she watched the man's partner puff up with pride, his purple scales bristling in the now rising sun. She felt a surge of excitement herself as Richard enthusiastically agreed to accompany the pair into the forest. Just as she opened her mouth to respond, the martial artist disappeared into his well stocked hut. C.J. averted her gaze and conversation to the two Pokémon below, "Extended training session?" An eyebrow raised in questioning. It seemed Richard was lighter on his feet than C.J. had anticipated as he quickly lugged his bag of supplies back towards the group. "I guess better safe than sorry!" She reached down towards Zulu, offering him her outstretched arm.And obvioussssly your trainer isssssn't aware that C.J.'s idea of an extended workout would be one where her tongue doessss all the work. She'sss never mastered the concept of sssssilence.

Zulu briefly winked one of his golden eyes as he slithered onto C.J. The young girl sat her knuckles against the leather of her belted satchel, her spindly arms ending in sharp points on either side. Her blue eyes soaked up the bright oranges and reds creeping over the horizon with the rising sun. Her mind racing at the potential Pokémon partners just waking up within the dense forest. She chuckled before joyfully strolling towards the dewy outstretched branches beckoning to the eager group. As they neared the edge of the tree line, Zulu's tail shook in warning against C.J.'s skin. She patted her forearm through the jacket sleeve and gave Richard a wary smile. "Last one inside is a Chansey's egg!" With that, she ducked beneath the leafy barrier, droplets of water scattering on and around her body.

"Wait, what's wrong with being a- OH HEY WAIT UP!" Richard yells, booking it towards the line of brush, rushing though it face first, getting slapped by many a branch. Ekans too ran behind Richard, getting slapped by the branches Richard bent with his charge. This is of course, aggravating to the both of them. Soon, they break into the forest along side C.J. Richard appears to have a Caterpie on his head, it looking around, confused. Ekans emerges, and shakes as well.
"C.J, don't run off like that! You could get lost, or trip, or run into a pokemon!" Richard exclaims, not noticing the pokemon that has begun to crawl around him. Ekans, noticing this, begins to comedically fire poison darts, missing, belting Richard with them.
"YEEEOOOWWWW!" Richard howls, attempting to block the darts with his arms, Ekans moving about and attempting to shoot the Caterprie off of Richard with the poison barbs. It's really a comedic scene of dual incompetence.
Near by, on a tree, another Caterprie watches the madness ensue, unsure of what to do as its friend scurries across the human, avoiding the darts.

The squirtle still only a baby let it gently hit it's shell before picking the fruit up. Squirtle looked up still eating the fruit, but walked forward slowly. It might have made a new friend, but the eevee was on guard. It had just hatched yesterday and it still didn't know much about trainers. Squirtle gently walked over sitting by Christine's foot enjoying the shade from her shadow as it ate, but avoiding the eevee worried. @Pink Madness

The forest quickly lead down to a river filled to the brim with poliwags. When the trainers approached the small pokemon ran towards the water hoping to hop in. There were several trees broken down in the clearing appearing to have been snapped in two. A slightly bigger poliwag glanced back and looked revealed to see it was only trainers as it relaxed half submerged in the water. On the opposite side of the river a large Pinser snapped it's horns together furious at the sight of the young trainers by its river. @medalliah@rocketrobie2

The caterpie shivered frightened hurrying down Richard's shirt as the second caterpie cried for help "Prie Prie!" The call was quickly answered as two weedle same to aid the caterpie firing poison needles at the ekans. The weedles froze there poison not seeming to have any effect on the ekans as the second larger caterpie charged to tackle Zuzu. @supertinyking@jagajac

Her face slick with dew, C.J. rose to stand in the forest cleaning; Zulu slithered down to her feet, assessing all that surrounded them. From behind she heard Richard as he barreled in, flinching slightly at his reprimanding tone. Before the girl could retort, several different cries echoed together throughout the treetops. C.J. spun on her heels to witness the smaller Caterpie wriggle itself below Richard's neckline. She unsuccessfully tried to stifle her laughter with a hand to her lips as his Ekans added to the unfolding chaos. Once the backup Weedle pair began firing, she had to duck and shuffle out of the danger. Zulu followed his partner gracefully, but turned on a dime as the larger Caterpie charged towards him. C.J. watched as his body tensed, preparing for the impact. A small shudder of nerves slightly shook the snake's body. The Caterpie was too close for comfort, and C.J. needed to throw out a command fast. She racked her brain for a strategy, knowing that Zulu's tackle would be sloppy because of his defensive stance. Suddenly, the young trainer knew what to ask of Zulu and called out to him confidently. "Zulu, use leer! His golden eyes shone hypnotically as he faithfully obeyed, the tip of his tail shaking violently in an attempt to frighten the bug. If Zulu could lower its defense, the slight second of apprehension would be enough for the quick Pokémon to launch a powerful wrap attack. Stopping the agitated Caterpie in its tracks. C.J. spared a quick glance at Richard, praying that her distraction would give the two time to compose themselves as well.

Christine stayed still and watched as the baby Squirtle comed closer, moment of silent she carefully touched the little water pokemons head "Aw, you're so cute" she said to it, smilling a lightly. She tryied to be still pretty calm, and didn't do any reckless moves so the pokemon could not get scared away.

Thought she noticed how the Squirlte looked at her Eevee "Don't be afraid of her..." she said pointing at the Eevee "This is my partner Eve, If you want to come with us, she will be your new friend" she said giving a quick look toward the Eve. Eevee meowed something and waved her tail, happily, like trying to make sure that she wasen't a dangerous one.

The caterpie froze a little at the leer being wrapped trapped as the weedles crawl away quickly. The small caterpie squealed "Prie Prie" needing to be released as it starts to faint. The caterpie desperatly used string shot trying to coat the ekans in string. @jagajac

squirtle squirt? The young squirtle stood up happily gently chasing the eevee's tail around Christine's legs playing happily. Squirtle looks up sweetly curious about the ball on your waist to young to know what it is as it tries to take it to eat like an apple. @Pink Madness

Richard tenses up, stumbling as he fishes for the bug pokemon out of his shirt. Ekans, for the moment, halted his attack of the Caterprie, and to an extent, Richard, mortified by its comedic incompetence. Richard eventually fishes the Caterprie out of his shirt, and looks it over. "Hey there, ya little wriggling punk, what were you doing in my shirt?" Richard asks, before getting shot in the face with string shot. He yelp, muffled by the silk now wrapped around his head, before attempting to rip it off.
Ekans wastes no time, moving to grab the Caterprie as Richard dropped it, attempting to constrict the Caterprie in hopes of knocking it out, for daring to humiliate it. Richard, in the mean time, is bumbling about, tearing silk off of his face in an attempt to get it off of his eyes, as he was effectively blinded by it. Eventually, he cleans himself off, just in time to see Ekans almost knock out the Caterprie.
"Well, for all the trouble you caused, I'll catcha!" Richard yells, chucking his pokeball at the helpless Caterprie, intending to catch it.

The oncoming Caterpie halted its tackle mere feet away from Zulu. Its body shaking with the effort to break from her Ekans' leer attack. It was vulnerable, and its previous backup Weedles had fled at the sight of both Richard and C.J. taking control of the previously chaotic situation. C.J. dug her heel into the dirt, keeping her gaze trained on Zulu and his assailant. She saw a flash of red and white from the corner of her eye, so Richard was going to attempt a capture on his Caterpie. C.J. knew she needed another partner to gain that fabled ribbon case, but another poison Pokémon wouldn't be as advantageous as catching a different type. Of course, Caterpie was a bug for now, but it wouldn't stay that way as it evolved. A memory of a field of yellow buttercups flashed through her head, replaying a scene of a small girl peeking between the long stems at a hungry Butterfree. The deep, hearty laugh of a man echoed in the distance as click, and a blinding flash of light quickly halted the happy daydream.

C.J. shook from her thoughts just as a feeble white strand shot from the weakened Caterpie's mouth. Zulu luckily didn't need a command to quickly evade the oncoming string shot attack, his slinky scales whispering against the fallen leaves scattered all around them. She nodded her head and grinned thankfully at her partner. Surely Zulu would gain some much needed experience from winning this battle, and he was sure to succeed. C.J.'s knuckles curled into fists at her sides as she called out the final command, "Good Zulu, now show him an honorable end. Wrap!" Zulu's golden eyes flashed over in a brief apologetic manner as he quickly coiled around the small creature, flinging it somewhat gently against a sturdy tree base deeper into the forest. Zulu and C.J. held their breaths as they not only waited to see if they were victorious, but also as Richard's Pokéball bounced off the other Caterpie and engulfed it in an entrancing light.

Mike ran over and scooped up the pokeball and held it aloft in victory.

"Oh yeah! Welcome to the winning team Venonat!" Mike yelled as he brought the pokemon back down to eye level and pocketed the pokeball. He then egarly followed along the river with Violet as he thought of any and all possible moves that the Venonat could possess with enough training. This was one of the greatest days of Mike's life.

As the two trainers and their Pokemon walked along the river, Mike looked over at the other side and saw the infamous Pincer that lived in the forest. It was a strong Pokemon and clearly had a winning attitude which Mike admired about the Pokemon. 'You just wait. Once I find a way over there I'll have show you what I've g

The ball closes both Zulu and Ekans gaining a level as Richard catches his second pokemon. A river can be heard nearby and the roar of a powerful pokemon challenging a trainer. The river pokemon could see Mike's intent to cross the nearby bridge a brave poliwag walking onto it to block his path scared of the pinser as it lifted a tree in it's horns snapping it in two with vicegrip. The poliwag stared Mike down trying to intimidate him in it's small cute form. @rocketrobie2@supertinyking@jagajac
