I doubt we can, but perhaps a delete button on your own visitor messages is a good idea.

On the topic of Visitor Messages, I would very much like to have the ability to see all of my vms. I know not everyone has an absurd amount of VMs, but for those of us who have more than 30, I would appreciate to be able to see them all. Right now, it seems it cuts out around 30 max. I'm sure that's to ensure that bandwidth(or something of the like) doesn't exceed a certain amount, but it's just a suggestion. shrugs

@Altered Tundra I mean it's quality of life isn't it? It'd be nice to have but I don't think it's detrimental to the functioning of RPG.

I'm dedicating Saturday (today, after I wake up) to the Guild, which will involve some admin stuff Hank and I have chatted about, but also a platform upgrade for the Guild's underlying software stack.

I've also been evaluating moving the Guild to a new host.

The last contest was a while ago but no new one has been hosted. I believe they were hosted every month but, to be honest, I'm not sure. I think we're overdue for one.

One thing I would like to see on the forum is a single place to find all the rules and such for the forum, with a bit more explanation put into them so they aren't such a "gray area" - While I was putting together the Articles and Guides Index I found I was having to hop all over the place to find the rule postings on the forum and some of them were even broken links. I haven't added them all yet. (And some are the same ones with just a paragraph added to the end to make them different.) - It can make things a bit confusing for new comers. A streamlined singular central post would be very welcome.

@Lady Amalthea Perhaps something to consider for us, or otherwise something I could do is go through the existing rules and point out flaws, or otherwise rewrite them entirely, if the moderators agree with some user input/rewriting, at least?

@Buddha Actually I am already on that. I wanted to put together a "Welcome to the forum" guide. I have it partially written but it has a way to go. I was hoping to submit it to the articles and guides as a general place and then to the mods for review. Figured since I do guides and such already for the hell of it I might as well. They have so much on their plates already figured it wouldn't hurt. It doesn't change any of the rules but it just puts them all in one place plus points out how to use the forum, where to go for answers, who to pm and when for problems, as well as a list of glitches on the forum new comers should know about. (Things like saving a post incase the forum times out and knowing that adding in an @mention to an edited post won't notify people.)

@Lady Amalthea well considering that the rules are also unclear and outdated it might be worthwhile rewriting them entirely and clarifying a whole lot/repairing broken links, right? Or is that also what you're doing atm?

@Buddha I was thinking about doing it but figured first things first you know - get it all in one place. Be more than open to changing that up if you wanted to work on that if it was okay with the mods. Figured I wouldn't change anything in them since I'm not a mod or admin, one of those not my place things. In the end, thought that if a rule needed to be changed once I got the the whole set up done it would just be a quick edit and update thing.

@Lady Amalthea Hmm, well you could always propose the new ruleset in a PM. If anything that'd allow for collaboration between moderators and community. I doubt I'm the right man for that given my reputation, but perhaps one of the moderators wants to pick it up and make work of it.

Which were the broken links?

If I remember correctly from my time as Moderator, the rules were designed with "gray area" intended; harder to edge lord and try to be an online litigator--in other words harder to make life difficult for the Guild staff. Harder to "waste time." Again, if I remember correctly. Also please don't try to use poor Ruby as a straw-person if you disagree with that approach. ^_^

Biggest issues I've found with that link are:

"Moderation Policy in the Off-Topic Sections" is a broken link.

and

"Reporting Incidents to Moderators" has an outdated Staff list.

Still lists HeySeuss and some chick named Ruby, while not having Hank or Mag Lev.
