"At first glance, one may use the term delicate to describe Aürelia, thanks to her diminutive stature and somewhat plump body. Paired with girlish features, and a cloud of shoulder-length, white-blond curls, from afar, many have underestimated her in the past. Until they got a better look at her, that is.

Upon closer inspection, her ample figure lends itself more to lean muscle than fat; although her limbs still retain a pleasant softness about them, it is clear that she is no stranger to exerting – or protecting – herself. Her 4’11” frame often appears taller than it is, due to her tendency to hold herself up in a relatively superior manner amongst others. Not in a purposefully condescending way, but it is simply the way she is.

Any more softness is lost when looking upon Aürelia’s face, which usually holds an apathetic – or haughty – expression. Her amber eyes are akin to stones, beautiful to look upon, but also cold and hard; this unfriendliness is only built upon by her angled facial features and sharp gaze. While it would be both unfair and untrue to state that she lacks any form of physical attractiveness, her shrewd stares give her a sense of distance; of icy inhospitality, and a false sense of safety despite how calm she may truly look. This has caused more than a few to steer away from her presence.

Despite all this, it is not impossible to see her smile; it is often a feeble one, if it should appear at all, but it is evidence enough that she is not without humour or happiness. During these instances, her coldness seems to disappear, and one can truly see the young woman beneath.

In terms of clothing, Aürelia tends to wear light, flowing outfits. The coast generally has decent weather and a warm climate, so thick or protective clothing isn't really necessary. More often than not she'll have either a dress or skirt of varying lengths, made of a a graceful, semi-sheer material. Pastel colours make up her entire wardrobe, but her favourites remain teal or blue. When in her home, she usually goes barefoot, or wears light-weight sandals. In less favourable climates, Aürelia also has sturdier clothing, with moccasin boots, and various furs (which she doesn't like wearing). As the daughter of the Chieftain of the tribe, she wears a delicate circlet, crafted from silver and adorned with a pearl.

Aürelia’s skin and complexion is best described as sandy; a natural tan colour that doesn’t seem to change throughout the seasons, sunlight only bringing forth golden freckles across her nose, back and shoulders. Pale, silvery scars stand out here and there, but nothing overly serious. No, the largest “blemish” to her skin would be that of her birthmark. Placed on her midriff, just in the middle of her breastbone, is a small, non-descript line. Upon using her powers, this line grows longer, becoming more crooked and asymmetrical. Eventually cracks issue from this line, and like waves constantly battering away at a cliff, the cracks will become fissures, and she will crumble away, becoming nothing more than sand on the shore. Prior to this, these cracks will shine with an ethereal light as she uses her powers, as will her eyes – the light is shimmering and distorted, like sunrays beneath the surf.”

"As mentioned, Aürelia is a very apathetic person. She doesn’t concern herself with petty troubles or pointless arguing, because it’s a futile thing, in her eyes. As such, she isn’t one to complain herself, regardless of the situation she finds herself in. Sympathy will rarely be given to others, but at the same time, she demands none for herself. However, if there is one thing Aürelia does consider important, it is respect. There are many things in this world that should be respected, regardless of one’s opinion of them. The same applies to people; while respect should certainly be earned, to some degree, Aürelia retains a respectful and polite manner around most, particularly acquaintances. First impressions matter, after all – and while she isn’t one to worry over accidentally offending someone, she does like others to respect her as well. The best way to do that is to treat them as she would like to be treated.

Amongst friends, Aürelia’s cold exterior seems to relax somewhat. Her frostiness isn’t a façade of any kind, but it warms up considerably while around those she cares for. A dry wit and sarcastic sense of humour can come forth in the way of deadpan remarks and quips – usually said with a straight face, but definitely with the intention of getting some laughter out of others. Caring remarks are often said bluntly and without tact, and she will be particularly vocal if a friend of hers is planning on doing something foolish. Aürelia never promises to be there for her foolish friends, and will often scoff at whatever silly thing they are doing… but she will tend to be there to help them when things go wrong.

Amongst enemies, respect still remains. One can dislike another but still act civil with each other. However, if somebody steps over a line, Aürelia will be there immediately to correct it. Seeing her temper arise is a rare occasion, as she prefers to deal with things in a calm and collected manner… due to this, an explosion of her anger is no small thing. It can be over in seconds after much damage has been caused (Be it metaphorical or physical damage), or it can steam away for days, as she waits for the right moment to release her rage."

"Aürelia was born as the second child and first daughter of the Vatten Tribe, along the southern coastline. Her family had been Chieftain's of the tribe for as long as anyone could remember, and so, they were treated with great respect. Being in this situation, Aürelia never wanted for anything - the food was farmed for them, the fish already caught to eat, and she didn't have to start working at a young age to provide for her family like some other girls in the village would - but that did not mean she intended to live a lazy life. Her parents encouraged work and independence, and so she often had the same lessons as her brother. They both learnt their letters, both learned how to swim, fish, boat, and even fight, to some small degree. With plenty of dangerous creatures in the sea, it was important that anyone treading in the water knew how to defend themselves.

Thanks to her upbringing, Aürelia had a very uneventful childhood. She learnt things, her parents had more children, and suddenly she was a teenager... and, of marrying age. Aürelia knows that an arranged marriage to someone outside of her tribe means she'll likely have to leave the coast, and that is the one thing she dreads the most. Secretly, of course - she's learnt not to complain in her life, especially with many of her childhood friends being lowly farmers or fishermen. The troubles of the rich and powerful were nothing to people who worked the land to live. The only thing that has prevented an arranged marriage so far was the untimely death of her father, and the subsequent troubles of a new Chieftian; her older brother, Fanari. Although things have settled down now, he seems quite interested in changing things around the village... and not for the better. Aürelia would prefer to stay and keep an eye on what he is planning on doing, but she can tell he wants rid of her. And with the gathering of Clans approaching, she silently fears of what he may do."

"There are several versions of the story surrounding Lorena and the Ocean; much like the chicken and the egg question, the people can't seem to decide whether Lorena created the water of their planet, or if she herself was born from it. Even Lorena couldn't tell you the answer; one day, she simply was, as was her domain. Since then, her time as a Goddess has been fairly unremarkable. The petty squabbles of the other Gods did not concern her, as long as they didn't drag her - or her ocean - into it. As such, Lorena didn't have much in the way of mortal enemies... but at the same, she did not have any best friends, or anyone to call family.

Until her Starkissed, that is. A surprising event, finding a soulmate and falling in love; and it seemed to have an effect on her. Emotion came more freely, and her mercy was being noticed more and more. A child falling from a cliff washing up on the shore, untouched; a fishing expedition gone wrong as a storm riled the water - but the fishermen's boat did not overturn; those who worshipped Lorena rejoiced in her actions, glad to be able to trust the ocean's wildness at last. But stories began to spread of those who took advantage of this.

A medium-sized village to the south had noticed the absence of Lorena's usual wrath when it came to the treatment of her waters. The people grew greedy and lazy; over-fishing the local marine life, and polluting the waters with their litter and human waste. When Lorena finally discovered the bay the village sat upon, it was empty of life, and the water looked and smelled akin to a stagnant pond. With her emotions already running high, her temper exploded - the villagers watched on as a tidal wave rushed towards them, standing 50 feet high, and at it's head, their incandescent Goddess. The water washed away everything of the village, with no life being spared.

Unbeknown to her, the Dark Ones were watching. They were aware of her stance of neutrality between the Gods, but could not trust that she would stay out of their affairs permanently. Witnessing her great fury, they chose to use this against her; sending a message one day that they had taken her Starkissed, Lorena's temper snapped once again. With a tempest like no other accompanying her, she stormed the beach where the Dark Ones had said her beloved lay... but they were not there. Instead, her enemies, blocking her from the ocean and finalising their plan. The curse struck her in the chest like a spear of lightning, and she began to fade, cried out her soulmate's name, having no idea if they had been taken too.

After moments of darkness, she was reborn as Aürelia."

Three General skills to start and up to two combat abilities. Due to the setting you may also have 1 Survival ability.

• Reading & Writing: Thanks to her family's importance, Aürelia learnt to read and write as a young girl.
• Sailing: A staple skill for those in her Tribe; she can steer even the most complicated boats her Tribe creates.
• Swimming: If one can't swim, they shouldn't sail. That's what her father thought,
  anyway. Aürelia can swim quite fast, and is capable of holding her breath for a good long time while doing so.

• Fishing: While more of an amusing past-time for herself and her siblings as a child, it is still an invaluable skill to learn. Even inland, there are lakes and rivers filled with fish to be eaten.
• Spears: Spear-fishing was the most favoured technique in her village, beyond using nets. One has to be quick, and be able to gauge where your prey is going. Thankfully, this skill with a spear can be used on land animals... and other, more dangerous foes.
• Speed: Blessed with a natural agility, Aürelia's speed has only helped her in terms of fishing and swimming. It is not just a physical speed either; her mind is sharp, and has often come in handy when making split-second decisions.

Ability 1: Lorena's Mercy
The Ocean is not completely without it's gifts, and Aürelia reflects this in her powers - they aid both herself, and those she believes deserve it.

Ocean's Breath: Aürelia uses her ability to control the water to breathe beneath it; this power can also be used on others to save from drowning.
Purify: Aürelia is able to purify water of salt, poisons and general waste, making most sources (stagnant or otherwise) drinkable.
Ocean's Kiss: The water around you suddenly eases your aches and pains, with minor injuries and exhaustion being washed away, leaving you rejuvenated.

Ability 2: Beasts of the Deep
Many creatures dwell below the waves, and they are not without respect for their Goddess; when called, all manners of monsters will beckon to Aürelia's call.

Fish are Friends: There are a lot of fish in the sea, and many of them have teeth. Aürelia can use her marine friends for many different tasks, including eating those who dare to face her. However, the larger and more intelligent the mind, the more free will it has against her demands; nothing larger than a tiger shark will heed to this ability.
Call for Help: Aürelia can mimic the cry of a Merperson in pain, and if close enough to water, Merpeople will rush to the aid of their supposed fallen friend. However, she cannot ensure they will help fight her foes, while leaving both her friends and herself alone.
Freshwater Fellows: While the ocean is her overall domain, sources of fresh (And salt) water inland can be used to her advantage too... and the creatures that dwell within. Amphibians such as poisonous frogs or alligators can be tempted away from their dwellings to cause troubles for her enemies; this ability also extends to more magical creatures such as Kelpies or Grindylows.

Ability 3: Wrath of the Oceans
The Ocean is not something to be taken lightly, and neither is Aürelia - these powers will cause even the most fearless of men to beg for her mercy.

Waterfall: Aürelia can blast others with potent streams of water. The stream can be high pressured enough to knock someone down or subdue them. This ability can also be used to put out fires.
Release the Kraken: The further down the monster dwells, the bigger it will be. Aürelia can summon forth a leviathan of terrifying size to give her a greater advantage in a fight.
Cataclysm: With her rage running untamed, Aürelia brings forth the true power of the ocean; a tidal wave, capable of wiping out entire towns in one fell swoop. The wave will reach up to at most ten miles inland, and when it draws back to the ocean, everything it has touched is gone.

At 5'9 Blaine is a tall woman with medium build, fit and athletic. Her short, straight hair is jet black, offset by indigo blue eyes. Her facial features are somewhat sharp, with high cheekbones, square-ish chin, and straight nose. Her lips are full and pink, with the lower lip having a slight indent in the middle. When she smiles a dimple will appear on her left cheek. Unlike most people of high stature Blaine walks tall and doesn't slouch. At first glance this causes her to look too imposing with her broader than usual for a woman shoulders and her fit physique. But once you get past that and dare to look into her eyes you'll find an ocean of gentleness there, belying her imposing figure.

Blaine has a barely visible scar across her lower lip on the left side, a visible scar on her forehead, to the right of the third eye region. She also has a tusk scar on the right of her abdomen from a wild boar. Her ears are pierced, as well as her right eyebrow and left nipple - signifying her inability to give birth.

Blaine has a few tribal tattoos representing harmony, balance and the cycle of life /the style of these and the symbols will change with each incarnation but the meaning will remain the same/.

Blaine will generally wear pants and shirts with the length of the pant legs and shirt sleeves depending on the season.

The mark of her curse looks like an acacia nilotica leaf on her nape from where new connected leaves will appear across her body when she uses her abilities.

Blaine is solitary and quiet, but she is not unwelcoming and is a very warm person. She is very helpful and polite and her impulse is always to lead with good. She will try to mediate and diffuse a situation first before resorting to more drastic measures. She is a peacemaker at heart and will seek out harmonious resolution to arguments and debates. She is however no pushover. The medal has two sides and when all other resources have been exhausted, she will consider more severe measures. Even if the employment of said measures always brings her sorrow and sadness simply due to the inability to resolve a conflict in a peaceful manner. Her own inability as well as the other party's. She will allow herself to feel the full repercussions of her actions, because there are lessons to be learned. Hence why she usually will struggle to the very last moment before forced to use drastic measures. She will find the fault within herself more often then within her opponent.

Driven to improve herself constantly, to seek inner peace, balance and harmony she will often try to transmit that state of mind and being to her surroundings - flora and fauna included. She knows bad things happen in life and does not labor to understand why, but rather to find a way to balance their effects. Because ultimately good and bad exist. She considers it arrogant to demand a reason for this existence. She believes that one must rather strive to find within themselves the strength to seek out ways to equalize the scale, to offset the bad with the good and to accept the bad when there is also good. This outview on life makes her a very calm and patient person.

Member of the Altose clan, Blaine became orphaned at a very young age. Her mother died during child birth and her father, one of the clan's hunters, died when Blaine was but five years old. The girl was adopted by the clan's shaman. The old crone soon realized the girl's natural shamanic gifts and set out to train her in the craft. Blaine adored nature and everything that had to do with it. She loved her lessons about herbs, plants and flora in general. She became especially gifted with the healing magics the shaman was training her in.

She would disappear for hours on end in the forests in search of herbs, healing plants, shamanic mushrooms. On one such faithful outing she was attacked by a vagrant clanless monster of a man, who in one foul act took her childish innocence, her shamanic gift, as well as her ability to bear life. Hunters of her clan found her broken, barely alive, clutching a stone in one hand, the monster passed out next to her, his head bashed in.

The hunters rushed her to the shaman, her adoptive mother, who labored for days on end to bring the young girl to full health. Her violator they put in a cage to await his just punishment. When Blaine had healed enough it was time for justice to be served. The beast that had taken so much from her was broth forth, the entire clan gathered to witness and participate in the ritual. The hunters who had found Blaine stripped him bare, strapped his legs and arms to two poles so that he hung helpless in the air.

Blaine stood, brave and terrified, her chin and lower lip trembling imperceptibly. She knew well the punishment for violators such as hers. Castration by a thousand cuts. Every member of the clan, save for the most innocent, would participate. The final cut, reserved for the one the violator had wronged. While the shaman was there to officiate the ritual as well as make sure the guilty one would stay alive long enough to receive the final cut completely conscious.

Thus ended the life of Blaine the shaman trainee and young healer and began the life of Blaine the warrior-hunter. Losing her purpose in one with her shamanic gift Blaine had to find a new path for herself in aid of her clan. Not able to bear children the only thing left for her was the path of warrior or hunter. She asked her adoptive mother to pierce her left nipple to symbolize her loss, but also as a sign of her new status in the clan. It was common practice for male warriors to pierce their nipples, while women who would have to care for children could not.

She does this unconsciously. She doesn't know it, but this song is her and her soul-mate's song. It is the song that when sang/heard will spark that moment of recognition. Although they might not be conscious of it. Their subconscious will recognize their starkissed via that song. So at any given time in any given incarnation one would be singing and the other would be straining to hear that song.

Form is not all that important to Medb. She will incarnate to experience the balance, harmony and cyclical nature of all often, but is not married to the mortal form one bit. With the exception of her dolphin form.

Medb was never born, she always was. She was the balance, the harmony, the cycles. Back from the time when forms were less and spirit more. So she didn't really need a form. But then forms started to appear more and more. Life in mortal shells. Life she balanced, harmonized and organized in cycles.

Worship became popular among the primitives and a form became necessary. So Medb considered. A form to be associated with. A form to be recognized by. And as she considered she was swimming in the ocean as a dolphin. Her second form, she discovered when she fell in love and found her soul-mate. Together they would often swim the sees as dolphins and exit ashore as humans, becoming the basis for the legends of mermaids, sirens and all other similar mythical creatures. An idea and form which was also adapted by later gods and goddesses propagating the legends even further.

The Scale Of Things: Weakest Ability
Affects balance within and without, swaps between extremes. Blaine has the ability to manipulate balance within a person and the balance of a person in relation to his/her surroundings

A Leaf On The Wind: Blaine can use this ability to instill a person with a moment of inner peace and grant them reprieve from the effects of angst, stress and sorrow. It can also cause a moment of calmness within an antagonistic character, dissuading them from their negative endeavors. However this influence cannot combat strong convictions, emotions or motivations if the person does not wish to be influenced.
Seesaw: When there's an up, there must be a down. Blaine can swap between those states of extreme. She can grant courage to a person paralyzed by fear. Someone enraged can be calmed down in an instant.
Open Your Eye: Blaine can affect the chemistry of the brain to produce a chemical balance within the pineal gland allowing the person a flash view of their reincarnation path. Depending on the target this has either beneficial effects or detrimental.

Harmonic Resonance: Moderate Ability
Using her voice Blaine can affect throught harmonic ressonance a person's brainwaves

Slow Harmonics /0-8 Hz/: Manipulating the slowest brainwaves Blaine can grant the gift of heightened intuition or detrimental impulsive behavior.

Harmonic Scramble: A bit of a wild card ability type of deal. When Blaine uses it it can produce the effect of any of her two other harmonic abilities regardless of the target and Blaine's intent.

The Tree Of Life: Strongest Ability
You can bend laws, brake them even, but their effects are ultimately inescapable! The system will achieve balance one way or the other.

Threefold: Blain has the ability to invoke the law of threefold return. What one does returns to them threefold. Good or bad.
Enter Akasha /40-100 Hz/: Through harmonic frequencies Blaine can launch a person into the Akashic records, the repository of all knowledge, for full review of their karmic path. That person will be unable to do anything for a certain amount of time as the brain will be entirely occupied with processing the information.
Death Is Only The Beginning: She can bring the life cycle to its end or beginning for one creature - life/death. But it will kill her immediately and she cannot use this ability on herself or her starkissed.

So I would imagine she would only use it for acts she is certain beyond shadow of a doubt are deserving of it. Lets say the further back an act goes, the more the certainty of it will fade, so she would avoid using it on past acts.

Magus stands tall at about 72 Inches and weighs 200Lbs. His long thick Black hair can cover his whole head, but is usually brushed back to reveal his face to others. His jawline is sharp and his face looks soft and quite beautiful, as intended. His bright blue eyes contrast against his pale white skin as so does his dark red lips.

When his curse begins to inflict his body, the first symptoms appear in his eyes. They lose their brightness and become completely dull. Shortly after they will fade away to white and then an all consuming black. Then dark deep lines begin to mark his face almost as heavy wrinkles around his face, including his eyes, mouth, cheeks, and forehead. Finally his whole body begins to look like a shriveled mess as heavy fabricated wrinkles appear.

[ ⍚ ] P _{E R S O N A L I T Y}

Magus is quite a simple man in his mortal form. He desires very little from life, just living day through day. He is never happy it seems, maybe a smile might paint his face once or twice a day from a dark thought or a good joke. The usual tired frown is worn on him even the luckiest days. He isn’t necessarily sad, just… He would call himself a ‘realist’. Realising there is very little things in the world that can cause anyone of permanent happiness, only things that give a person temporary happiness. In his eyes people are born, work, pay taxes, and then die, usually in a way they didn’t want.

Magus doesn’t hide this fact ethier. Most interactions with him for the first time, he seems serious at times, very prideful with his work, cynical, and honestly quite sad. He is still a person though, and finds happiness in his work or in his personal or family achievements. Although it doesn’t last for very long. His motivation is produced from just himself. He never had much growing up and nothing was ever promised to him, but to take care of his love ones. He feels that their is something more for him in life and just waiting to find it. Maybe it will never come, but if so, it just another part of life then.

He still can be considered as kind and gentle by his Family. Always going out of his way to help the ones he loved. Never really bearing much hate for the outsiders, just general indifference. Making his personality strange to the outsider who might see his interactions with the ones close to him. Expecting cynicism and harshness, but seeing kindness and a general happy vibe.

[ ⍚ ] B _{I O G R A P H Y}
Magus was found in the woods alone and crying. Found by what became his Father in a hunting party in the woods. While some would consider that a blessing to be saved at such a dangerous situation, for awhile Magus wished he was just eaten by the Wolves.

He grew up with his adopted Mother, Father, and four Sisters. His appearance was strange for his fathering Clan, being a very pale child with bright blue eyes and long black hair. While his clan’s natural skin color was dark brown with Hazel eyes and curly hair. Him being so unique, had him subjected to much prejudice and bigotry by his fellow clanmates. The fact that he was found in the woods didn’t help and was deemed ‘cursed’, even when bad luck or misfortune didn’t really follow him. His adopted Mother and Father found pride in this and raised him lovingly even with that hate from the other Clan members.

His father gave him advice that shaped his overall life style: “All is temporary, what brings you sadness will not last forever and what brings happiness will eventually end or even change. If you can’t be accepted by your looks, then be accepted by your skills and personality.” This sparked a desire to become one of the strongest and most skilled in forestry. Bringing the most food and meat than any other clansman can muster in a single hunt. At this point he finally earned his place in the Village, even if it was just for what he brought and not for his existence.

After turning the age 19 he decided that he could do better on his own. While he would never admit it, he held great hate for his Clan and wished terrible things upon them in the future. A hate his couldn't reliably explain. All but his beloved family of course. So he offered them to leave with him, of course to his displeasure, they declined and instead wished him good luck in the road ahead. His father gave him his family’s heirlooms that were to be passed down to the first son of each of this family. While technically not his true child, his Father gladly passed down his Family Bow and Hunting knife. Magus took his it with pride and left his Clan, never turning back.

Xanuun sits upon a great throne in his realm. Surrounded by Long Spires that have branches, where men impaled and suffering. His Skin is thick like leather and a Crimson red color. He adorns armor Pauldrons, Greaves, and bracers crafted from Bone and Metal. Atop his head, he dons a huge crown of Thorns, crafted by human flesh and bounded together by soul string. He has not two, but four arms, usually two rest on his thorns while the other two feed or used for interaction. His eye are ruby red and somewhat minuscule compared to his huge maw, filled with hundreds of hooked shaped teeth. Some say he stands as huge as 1500 meters while other times he can be depicted at about 100 feet.

Xanuun wasn’t technically created by anyone specifically. From his knowledge or anyone's else for that matter. He was born from the cumulative pain of all the pain and suffering. Being almost the righteous punishment to those before they are sent to the realm or underworld that fate had given them. Xanuun sits in his self created throne in the realm known as the ‘Trench’. The realm could be visited only by breaking down his mighty Gate that contains his realm or by asking for entry. Xanuun doesn’t really get to many visitors.

God and Human. Those that cause great suffering to others would serve punishment with Xanuun before being consumed by him and sent off. They would suffer for what seems like a lifetime, never numbing from the pain. Hung choking off spires for the least offenders or Being impaled and wrapped in thorns for the worst. After their toll was paid, he consumed them, gaining strength from the stored pain in their body.

After long, Xanuun began to talk to these cursed. Learning about Humans and even offering a break from the Pain for a story. Xanuun found the Mortals quite interesting, their lives a lot more exciting and fulfilling then his own existence. He never asked to be here, just always was since he could remember. So he explored outside his realm to learn more about the Universe.

Almost a Millennium later he followed several other Dark Gods through with other Immortals. Some to find power, Xanuun to find Purpose.

The Transformation:
Magus will start assuming a smaller sized version of his Godly form. He will grow to a height of Nine feet, hair falling out, his skin will become a leathery Crimson, and two more arms will spread from his original. His strength being that of four men.

Crown of thorns:
A smaller version of his crown of thorns will be adorned on his head. The half meter long Thorns can be fired at targets, attempting to impale them with the three inch thick If a mortal is hit they will almost always die from the Pain the thorns will inflict. To a immortal it is possible to take away life force for a single point if not removed fast enough.

Through pain comes strength:
Mighty Spires of Agony will arise from the areas surrounding Magus. With them painful screams of trapped souls will be impaled on each Spire. A chorus of cries of mercy and of pain echo, fueling Magus. He can use the Spires as an infinite pool to siphon pain from. Maxing out the full potential of his other Abilities. After Magus’s death, the area will forever contain spirits of those who were called and for centuries their hallowed screams can be heard in the wind.

Already fixed the skillset.

About her old tribe, the Wulfing, sure. I'll give them a proper description.
Her position on the old clan was indeed The Walküre. But regarding the Craenak, she doesn't have any position on their tribe yet. The two tribes know each other, and have a good relationship, but she still doesn't know if she will indeed start her own small tribe, together with her warriors or if she will enter the Craenak. Her principal objective is formally announce the extinction of the old Wulfing tribe, both to other clans and to the Wolfrahg. What will happen after that, largely depends on the Wolfrahg's reaction to that.

PS:originally it was the Craenak, but idk if there will be any PCs playing as that tribe, so I've changed it to the Wolfrahg tribe (since they are also coming from the northern mountains)

PS2: made some changes on her abilities. Including clarifying some things about Gungnir's summoning. It may be easier to understand now.

Anora, or Noora as she is affectionately known as in her tribe, emits an aura of confidence and power. Her walk is that of royalty: head held high, back straight with perfect posture. Daily "lady" lessons from her mother helped with the posture, but Noora's confidence in herself is something to be noted. Noora always has a smile or a smirk depending on the situation - the cocky attitude can be seen from a mile away. Her body is slim, but athletic and allowing her to be of some use during combat - even if it may not be much. Noora is of short stature: 5 foot 4, or 1.64m which is average for the women in her tribe, even if it is quite short. Whilst she is by no means the tallest or strongest looking person, it doesn't stop Noora from being confrontational if need be. Noora has certainly inherited her mother's looks, like her sister.

Noora's skin is tanner compared to her younger sister, more akin to her older brother, who works and trains outside most hours of the day. Noora isn't afraid to get dirty, and as such, her nails and clothes can often be seen dirty, as though she was rolling in soil (which... isn't far from the truth actually). Noora wears her scars, like her birthmark, with pride. Any mark on her symbolises activity to her. Her hair is a strawberry blonde shade, and too long for her liking. The locks almost touch her elbows in length and are very frizzy and curly. It is often tied up and hidden away in braids so it wouldn't bother her whilst training. Her eyes are a bright shade of blue, and considered very striking and memorable, framed by thick, dark eyelashes.

The clothes Noora wears is practical, common for her people. A simple tunic that is lined with fur to keep her warm whilst riding her horse, thick trousers and fur-lined boots. Whilst doing her duties as the chieftain's daughter, Noora can be seen in a dark dress that is tightened around the waist with a fur belt, a place where she tucks her deerskin pouch filled with treats for her horse, Eldon.

Noora's curse mark is in the shape of a simple grapevine on the nape of her neck. The design of this "birthmark" baffled her parents, but Noora jokes that it was her fate to be a lover of wine. The mark is often covered by her clothes or her hair when let down, but Noora isn't ashamed of showing it as if she's proud to have such a strange birthmark. When Noora uses up too much of her powers, the grapes wilt and lose colour until poison reaches Noora's heart, poisoning her.

Noora's personality always has an impact on her immediate surroundings. You can easily spot her in a crowd of people, being the one laughing and entertaining with a blunt humour that treads the line between appropriate and inappropriateness. Noora is a risk taker, someone who does something before thinking about it. This, coupled with her hair-trigger anger can lead to unnecessary friction between her and others. Noora is direct and blunt, never sugar coating her words causing her to be slightly insensitive. Something bothering her? You'll know about it. Noora never hides what she thinks because she never has to, and always appreciates when the same is done with her.

Noora enjoys living life as it is, and risky behaviour is such a thrill that Noora just can't help but leap into something without thinking twice - or once. She's unstructured and she's bold and full of energy and loves to push the boundary between what she should to and what she shouldn't. Why force yourself to live with such restrictions? That's the only way to enjoy life and learn new things! Noora is also very emotional. When she feels something, she feels it deeply, but instead of dealing with her emotions rationally, Noora can easily let it escalate to anger and confrontation. She doesn't let something go: her pride will never allow her to forget if someone has wronged her, but she does try to forgive.

Noora is a free spirit, and thus very defiant of rules. If she's determined to do something, she'll find a way to do it no matter how long she has to wait.

Anora, or Noora, is a member of the Bellcairn tribe, found in the Midlands. She was born to the chief, Tybost, and a beautiful healer, Anastia, originally hailing from the Abaneki tribe. Their union resulted in Theodoric, a boy of great honour and dreams like his father, Noora three years later and Anina five years after Theodoric.

Being the middle child, Anora had no chance of being the chieftain so she and her younger sister were raised to ride horses and to be good wives, as a measure to improve diplomatic relations with other tribes.

The sisters were forced to sit through lessons by their mother, being taught how to sing and dance and how to charm their future husbands. Where Anina flourished in these lessons, Noora failed. It wasn't as if she didn't try; Noora just didn't have the voice or the gracefulness of someone from Abaneki. Her sister had inherited it, not her. Instead, Noora was interested in sword fighting and horse-riding.

When she finished her horse-riding lessons from her father at the age of twelve, he proudly commented on how his daughter was the best rider in the land. Whilst Noora was sure he was just exaggerating, Noora couldn't help but inflate with pride herself. If she was a good horse rider, why couldn't she learn how to wield a sword? Maybe she'd be a better fighter than her brother! The idea was immediately shut down by both her parents, who couldn't allow for their daughter to get injured whilst training and ruin her good looks inherited from Anastia. But the stubborn child wouldn't take no for an answer. She kept pleading her parents, despite anticipating the rejection every single time. At the age of fifteen, when Theodoric was finally done with his training and was officially a member of the Riding Guards, Noora turned her attention towards him.

She kept pestering Theodoric for a while until the boy finally relented. Theodoric trained his sister in secret during the nights, for the next few years until she turned eighteen. The siblings were never caught, but after a close call, Theodoric refused to train her any further than he already had. Noora reluctantly agreed and resumed training on her own. Over the years she grew more daring and would sneak out of the village grounds to hunt, even though she was mostly unsuccessful due to her lack of skills and the dark.

Now with the gathering of the Clans coming up, her father hopes that Noora and her sister would marry a suitable suitor from another clan, whilst Noora wishes there would be a good place for her to spar somebody.

Aena always favours her human form over an ethereal body. Aena stands at a tall 152cm, or 5'11 and apart from her height, she could easily blend in with other humans. Her eyes are a bright blue shade and with long, straight platinum blonde hair, Aena looks as cold as she does fierce.

There have been mixed reports about how the Goddess of the Sun came to be. Some say she was born after the need for a summer rose from the people after suffering from too many harsh winters in the Ice Age. Others say she was always around, as old as the sun itself - the mother of the sun, in fact. However, the story about how the Goddess created a sun for the planet remains:

The kindly Goddess watched in despair as the planet suffered through too many cold storms, killing what little life dwelled on the planet every day. To stop such events, Aena created the sun for the Earth to orbit around, giving life on the planet warmth and light to look forward to every new day.

The giving goddess did all she could to keep those that worshipped her happy. Those that sent a prayer were more often than not blessed if it was within Aena's place to do so, and the Dark Gods took advantage of that trait. Aena was never aware of her Starkissed. She wasn't sure if she had even met them yet, but the Dark Gods didn't take pity on the Goddess. Disguised as a widowed woman begging for her son to return home safely from the war, the Dark God that cursed Aena to her new life as a mortal tricked the goddess and soon Aena was no more.

At least, until she took her first breath as Anora Roven.

Noora can create beams of light to bring attention to something, or escape a particularly nasty situation.

Blinded — Noora can focus a bright light, almost like a spotlight, on somebody to blind them for a short time and allow herself the chance to escape.
Festive Spirit — As the Goddess of Festivities, Noora can decree a day to be a holiday, compelling people to feel festive and have a need to celebrate through a party or gathering of sorts, improving everybody's moods.
Now You See Me — Noora can create three copies of herself using light. These copies of herself are illusions of herself.

Fighting Fire With Fire
Fire doesn't always have to burn. Noora can use the flames to bring something to ash or to heal people.

Blessed by the Flames — As the Goddess of Fire, Noora can also bless people and give them temporary immunity to flames. This ability lasts for a day and Noora can bless herself as well.
Healing Fire — Noora can create a special flame to heal herself and others. It doesn't work if the target is close to death, or is inflicted by something that cannot be treated.
Playing With Fire — Noora can create flames to set a flammable object aflame.

The Rising Sun
The energy from the sun doesn't always have to bring joy and warmth to people. Noora can curse or induce a drought and make an already hard condition to live in near impossible.

Driven Insane — Noora can place a form of a sun curse on an individual which causes them to be driven insane when under sunlight. This means that the Cursed's ability to fight is severely impacted when they come into contact with the sun. This is only active when the target is outside and still works even if they wear a cloak.
Rain, Rain Go Away — Noora can increase the intensity of sunlight to cause high temperatures and radiation. This ability lasts for a week and can induce a drought in already arid places.
Supernova — As her final ability, Noora can call upon the sun and use it's energy to create an explosion akin to a supernova. The blast radius is 5 miles, and the heat in the surrounding area making living after the explosion in the area almost impossible. The effects linger for a few years. The use of this ability will result in Noora's death.

Bellcairn Tribe

The village of Bellcairn is similar to that of The Roamwyns. It can be found in the plains and is rich with farmland, but more specifically: horses. The Bellcairn are notable for their domestication of horses, goats and cattle. The people from this tribe are excellent rides, surpassed by none. The climate at Bellcairn is mostly warm but experienced its fair share of tropical storms.

The tribe is close-knit: everybody knows everyone, but it doesn't mean people get along often. Whilst the people from the Bellcairn tribe are joyful, they are just as much filled with pride and have egos rivalling the size of the horse they ride. The Bellcairn also have a reputation for being rough around the edges and straight to the point - almost to the point of rudeness, which only added to their reason for being such a recluse for many years. The men of the tribe are typically the warriors and protectors: they gather the food and keep the village safe, whilst the women are trained to tend to the stables and their homes. The tribe used to be reclusive, their new chieftain recently taking the initiative to improve relations with others. Thanks to their plentiful access to horses, cattle and goats, the Bellcairn tend to trade the creatures in favour of food or for gold.

[ ⍚ ] A _{P P E A R A N C E}

Thran is exceptionally handsome by human standards. He stands at about six feet, two inches and is fully erect at all times because posture is important with someone of his stature. His lithe build fills him out nicely. He has no tattoos, and no piercings. Several scars can be seen throughout his body, small and out of mind but from the many experiences in his life. One large ghastly looking scar etched into his left arm is a constant reminder of his banishment. His face remains blemish and scar free to date. His clothing style can't be fully expressed right now, he just wears what will keep him warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

The mark of the curse rests above his left bicep. The mark itself is of a small star that is slightly darker then his skin color. When he activates his abilities for the first time, the star turns blue. As he uses his abilities, the star erupts like a solar flare, growing sporadically across his skin.

Thran is a sympathetic soul, cast into a cruel world of harsh realities. His own experiences have created an individual who would care for those he knows little about simply because it is the right thing to do. He cares little for violence as such, but is no stranger to it, and usually takes a refined approach to confronting an issue. He enjoys talking to people all the same, as it brings him some sanity from his lonely lifestyle. He is full of compassion and doesn't like to start arguments with people, but will hold his ground on subjects he deems necessary to uphold. He'll try his best to stop any type of confrontation before it turns ugly with his voice of reason. He rarely takes sides in any case.

He is a solemn figure when he needs to be, but prefers to make jest of bad situations and bring laughter to dark times. He is no stranger to broken things, as he is chief among them. As such, even though he lives as a lone wolf, he is usually starved for human contact but can't seem to reason moving into a tribe again. His mistrust for any type of clan, not individuals, comes from his own banishment and betrayal. Thran cares little for the many aspects of clan life, but he'd be fool to forget that their is safety in numbers. Above all else, Thran care for people and doesn't like to see needless pain and suffering.

[ ⍚ ] B _{I O G R A P H Y}

Upon the night of Thran's birth, a shooting star crossed the sky with whispers of good omens to come for Clan Durok. His father was third in line for chiefdom at the time of his arrival, and proclaimed his first born son, Thran Dromunson Durok. His mother was a pretty thing called, Ravia, a hunter's daughter. Thran was Fourth in line for chiefdom, Starborn and above all else, healthy much to his parents profound joy. His Tribe was one of the largest in the area, calling the grassy plains their home and everything that was in sight, theirs. One day, if he lived long enough, it would be all his by right.

His early childhood was marked with little activity other then the day task of surviving. Each was counted as a blessing, and just another step in his progression to an adult. His curiosity for the mysteries of the world were unfounded and he learned much through careful teachings from his parents and other tribesmen. As the days turned into months and the months turned into years, his chances of reaching maturity got better until it was simply known as fact that he would remain healthy enough. During his upbringing his mother and father had three more children, with only one lost in infancy. The second born, his first sibling, was a girl named Delani whose wild walnut colored hair portrayed her personality perfectly. The third born was another son, Tilok who was known for his brash attitude and a general troublemaker. The fourth born of his parents was a girl, her name was Lilan but now she rests with the ancestors in the Great Plains up above. With his siblings, they endured much together but became strong because of it.

Upon the day of his seventeenth birthday, he was ushered into adulthood with a celebration, and a great feast along with several others. The ceremony that came after was long and dull, but at the end, Thran was officially considered an adult and allowed the privileges that it entitled. He could now talk at tribe moots, have his own home and belongings and find a wife to continue the Durok line. For a couple of years Thran lived in his families home, until chiefdom was passed onto his father. It was a dark tragedy that befell his family, both his grandfather and uncle perished while out hunting for the White Elk. With a heavy heart, his father took the responsibilities of chiefdom and they moved houses, while Thran then took over the families home- his home.

Three years passed by with little note. Thran watched his brother and sister join adulthood, voiced his opinion on the various goings of the tribe, and was content with doing the daily tasks required of him. Whether hunting with friends, or building a hut for a family. The tribesmen grew to love his calm sensibility and playful muses. He however, was also the subject of great scrutiny for he had not found a wife yet and no heirs had been born to him. His brother in the meantime, already had a small family started with a lovely wife from a distant tribe. He was proud to be an uncle. His sister in the meantime, was married off to a different tribe for relations and he seldom saw her anymore other then the occasion feast.

Then upon his twenty-third summer, another tragedy befell his family- his mother, Ravia fell to sickness. Thran mourned for seven days before being able to go on, his father however, was affected greatly. A sickness took his mind and decadence filled his heart. He took many maidens and defiled them, often sacrificing them in the name of the old gods. The tribesmen knew not what to do, their gods had given Dromun the will to be their chief, who could oppose that? It went against tradition, but Thran knew better. Upon the night of the Sacred Moon, he opposed his father outright, declaring him a vile wicked creature and a man he was no longer. Outraged, his father challenged him to a fight, and Thran agreed.

They fought for several minutes, but Thran never received the oxen build his father had, or his talent with a sword and Thran was beaten to an inch of his life. His father declared Thran banished, and Tilok to be next in line for chiefdom, for unlike his dear brother, he had sons to continue the line. His tribe, turned against him then, and he was left outside of the settlement, to die alone. With great pain, Thran managed to get to his feet and leave his home behind, for good.

He wandered the plains for a time, licking his wounds back to health and trying to survive at the same time. Through sheer perseverance and a little bit of luck, Thran managed to hone himself for the wilds and he has called it home ever since. He travels the land now, avoiding the dangers of nature and man alike but occasionally stopping in other tribal areas if they are friendly.

Izar took the shape of a star, whose color and shape were ever changing. He dipped into every conceivable color, from the purest of white to the darkest of red. His energy pulsated around him, and he could even control the heat he emitted if he so chose. He never took another form but it was probably well within his power to do so.

Beginnings

Light. Glorious, hallowed light. That was the first thing Izar remembered when he came into being. It surrounded him, bathing his conscious in a multitude of bright colors and warmth, some of which he hadn't seen since. Overcome with emotion and dazzled with beauty like never before, he watched the stars as they dispersed. He felt a great love for the stars but they were fickle creatures, prone to harm and easily angered. So upon his glorious birth, he was also given a lesson upon the new reality he was born into, when a small yellow star collided into one of its brothers. The resulting explosion annihilated the two, sending their furious heat on a collision course with other stars but more importantly, into Izar.

Izar screamed as the fire washed over him, sending his conscious state into a state of pain. It was a new feeling to Izar, one that prompted him into action unknowingly. He began to absorb the energy, the fire of the explosion and slowly the jabbing pain subsided. When the fire was at last gone, Izar was astonished to see that he had become a star himself, but more so then the others. The Everstar had been born, and his purpose was clearly defined. He would not only watch the stars and their beauty, but care for them in a way that kept them safe from themselves, and others.

That was a long time ago, and few now remember that which was the start. Izar wandered his ocean of stars, tending to them like a Shepard would tend a flock of sheep, yet at the time there was no such thing as a Shepard, or sheep. Not all of it was pretty, as he soon became keenly aware that there were others like him, those who possessed thought on which to act upon. They were calling themselves Gods, and each one of them wielded fabulous and exotic powers, that some used for good and others not so much. Many,
if not a vast majority of these Gods, took to a star that was cold and held little color, He watched them work upon it and learned, that it was not in fact a star, but a planet. Izar was told that many joyous creations would be made upon its surface but Izar cared not, for the stars were his domain and they needed his care. Unbeknownst to the others, Izar watched the stars carefully around their planet, as he would have hated to see such work go to waste from a rogue star. He even created the constellations and mimicked them after God's and Goddess he saw working upon the planet.

Disparity

He had thought that with the planet to keep the other God's occupied, they would stop meddling in his domain but he was wrong.(Will come back to this part, I've read some other cs backgrounds and some God's haven't been so kind to the stars.)

Starfall

Time did not effect Izar as it did others, he felt it as a passing motion that flowed around him. So it came as a great surprise to the Everstar when he was told by a passing lesser deity that the the Dark Gods, some enemies of the Stars, had begun to curse those who were Starkissed. Izar was taken aback by the statement, if two beings could love each other so inextricably like he loved the stars, who had the right to take away their happiness? Who had the right to damn them for all of eternity?

He rushed back to the planet the other gods had tarried over so long ago to find their presence empty, or fleeting. So many he realized, had been taken by the curse, and forced to live mortal lives. He pitied them deeply, such a fate to find love and never to have it, to die over and over was quite depressing. Izar was confident however, that he would avoid such a fate as he was not Starkissed as they had been.

As he began to withdraw from the planet and retreat to the Ocean of his, he stopped. Gathered before him were Dark Gods, many in number and they stared at him with malicious intent. In that moment, Izar had his doubts. The Everstar had never found love, for what greater beauty was there then the stars? Yet there they were.

"What is the meaning of this?" He asked hesitantly.

One of them stepped out from the others and spoke in deep tone, "The Everstar, sat high above his ocean throne. He cared for the stars all alone. Protecting them ever so fiercely. Now his fate will end quite badly. Starkissed or not, foes you have made. Now you shall simply fade."

The Everstar burned brightly as the dark gods bounded towards him. He was never a fighter but he would show them a fight. Across the sky they battled, like streaks of lightning they danced. Izar killed a few, and hurt many more before he was overtaken. As the curse consumed his body, they flung him to the planet. Images flashed in his mind, and before he knew it he saw the end. The stars fading into the dark, as black swallowed everything and he wept.

Somewhere in the land, a baby began to cry.

Three General skills to start and up to two combat abilities. Due to the setting you may also have 1 Survival ability.

• Smooth talker- Thran has always had a knack for being able to talk his way out situations and calm people down. He is very charismatic in that regard.
• Regal- Thran has a natural air of dignity about him. Though he never flaunts it, people are more likely to do as he asks.
• Rational- Thran thinks carefully before acting, never rushing into a situation headfirst. For that would only be foolish.

• Nighstalker- Thran has an unnatural talent for being able to disappear in the night and not leave a trace.
• Lithe Build- He's not the strongest or largest man out there but what he lacks in physical aptitude,
  he makes up for by being graceful on his feet and slightly faster then most.
• Axeman- He is proficient at wielding an assortment of axes for disposal.

The Star's Promise: Weakest Ability
"Look! Look up and see! The stars will show us the way!"

A Dazzling Display: Thran can light up an area of his choosing in any color imaginable. The light can stick to anything and illuminates a medium sized area. Some colors show brighter then others. Fades after a short while.

Polaris Guidance: Thran uses the stars on a cloudless night for navigation. He will never get lost as long as he can see the stars.

Star Vision: Thran can use this ability to see clear as day, on a starry night. Cloud cover inhibits this ability as well.

The Caretaker's Burden: Moderate Ability
"Be the change people need, not the kind that they want."

Cosmic Clarity: The Caretaker can calm people and animals down with this ability. Whether it be two men on the verge of blows, or an animal about to attack. Those effected will enter a state of serenity and find their petty squabbles to be completely pointless.

The Star's Touch: With a simple touch, all physical wounds are healed. Any diseases and ailments are also permanently cured. Provides a small buff to immune system for resistance against disease and other wounds, until the current life is over. Cannot bring back what is already dead.

Suppression: Like the days of old, the Caretaker can use this ability to absorb the harmful energies emitted from a spell, god power, and other abilities to varying degrees. The lesser the ability, the easier it is so absorb, while the opposite can be said for higher powers. When the energy is absorbed, the Caretaker can not use it in any shape or form. It simply vanishes from whence it came.

The Everstar: Strongest Ability
"Ah, did you see that Thran? That Shooting star? Make a wish and perhaps it will come true."

Starlight: The Everstar can wield the stars energies. He can use light to make a weapon, a tool, armor, etc. He can also change the color and intensity of the display.

Stellar Impact: The Everstar commands a small meteorite to strike earth in a place of his choosing. The force of the resulting explosion can be heard for miles around and can easily destroy a small village in an instant. He has to be able to see the place he wants to attack and be in close proximity.

Shooting star: The Everstar sheds his Mortal Coil for a short time, taking to his domain for but a moment. Day fades to night in an instant as he streaks across the open sky in his former glory. Any who look upon him may make a wish, but only those pure of heart may have it answered. The wish cannot reverse the effects of the curse, or bring back the deceased. Wishes will also be taken word for word and have varying levels of success depending on what is asked for. (Not sure about this one, feels a bit op but it was late when I wrote this and I didn't have any other ideas.)

Ursine / Sobeki / Goddess of the Scarred, Predatorial, and Misunderstood

Ursine was born cursed, with the scar of evil laid bare on her face. Her fellow tribesmen told stories about her to their children: “stay away from the girl with a wrong face, she will infect you with devilry when her blind eye meets yours.”

She should have inherited the genes of her mother, smooth skin and flushed. Instead, her soft cheek was rough and misshapen with the twisted indents and ridges of the deformity. Pink lips that may have been able to smile can now only form a bent hellish grin, the tissue so damaged on her left that the lips can barely move except to scowl. The only untouched feature is her sharply pointed nose and the flecks dotting her face.

As a child, her right eye was considered the perfect shape – when the left one was covered – but now the wide wondered eyes are hollow, sunken, purple bruises beneath. The soft hazel color which held sensitivity, like a puppy, was a stark contrast to the eerie, unshaken eye of her other: her blind eye. She is not completely blind in that eye though; she sees the vague outlines of things, dancing darkness and shapes that scare her more than the complete darkness ever could. Ursine doesn’t like seeing, sight is corrupted and grotesque.

Without her scar, Ursine would be pretty – not exceptionally beautiful, but an average attractiveness that felt like home. Her body is willowy and tall, being five feet and nine inches in height. Her figure moves awkwardly, foreign under her skin, and there’s a disjointedness to her movements that speak levels of her insecurity. Yet, it’s endearing in the way a clumsy friend is endearing. Ursine’s thick red hair is twined to frame her face, the thick two braids hanging about her navel. Underneath the snow sunlight, the red hair seems golden and heavenly, but is oily and demented in the dark.

Like most of the Ursidae clansmen, Ursine wears furs and leather in the winter time. She enjoys the comfort that being held in a bear’s skin brings her, the feeling of rightness and origin. Ursine detests the warmer climates though, for she has to shed her bear and wolf fur to wear deer hide and woven fabric. It feels uncomfortable and exposed on her skin. She wears very little jewelry, preferring simple things over material jewels, though she enjoys looking at golden bands and transparent gems.

Ursine was born with a curse: her clansmen say there is an evil hiding in her scar, but in truth, Ursine was born with a very different curse. When Ursine uses her powers, the scar she was born with stretches and replaces her smooth skin. The pathway begins with her face, moving outwards until her scalp and chin are covered, then travels down her neck and shoulders like sticky strawberry jam trickling down her body.

Ursine never had many friends to play with, so she sought other things to occupy her time. She spent the day following her father around as he oversaw his tribesmen’s work; at every chance she had, Ursine asked a question. When she wasn’t badgering her father with how to skin a deer or what food can grow in the winter, Ursine would wander on the outskirts of the encampment. She would scrape bark off of maple trees to see what was underneath, unwisely lick the sap of evergreens, and dissect a skittering bug with the edge of her nail. There was a drive inside of her, a hunger for understanding the world around her, to absorb the knowledge of nature. Her curiosity was powerful and she has overcome fears because she wanted to learn them.

Her curiosity does not end with objects and things. Like a prodding child, Ursine wants to know the inner thoughts of man. Those that are misunderstood are precious knowledge to her and Ursine enjoys their company. Maybe it is because she herself is mistaken for someone she is not and so she treats those she comes across with compassion. Ursine is not only sympathetic, but empathetic: she feels their pain and misery like it is her own. Both of her ears are useless if she is not listening to a companion; she likes listening to others, it helps her see them as a person. Maybe that is why she is so quiet, so she can listen to the people around her.

Compassion can be a blindfold as much as her ears can be an eyeopener. Ursine is an optimist and dislikes the idea that there is evil in the world. In her mind, Ursine only sees good people that may do immoral things to achieve righteousness in the world. It’s naïve of her to think so, dangerously naïve. Because she sees the good in everyone, the unethical can take advantage of her and bend her with lies and betrayal. She is a bearskin on the ground, free for all to walk on and rest – she will bring comfort to those who abuse her. Ursine will never face the dark side of the world, but would rather hide in willful ignorance.

The circumstances in which she ends up in through her innocence have given her a martyr complex. She allows herself to suffer under the hands of others because she believes her suffering will release the suffering of others. By sacrificing herself and self-esteem, Ursine concludes that she will understand more since she has gone through tough times as well. Yet, in the night, Ursine pities herself for having such a duty that she has pushed upon herself. She prays for a god that will ease the hurt of the outsiders so she may be consoled as well.

Ursine’s mother was beautiful and her father was considered one of the handsomest of the tribe – his position of power as the chieftain certainly affected such judgment, though. Everyone expected Ursine, daughter of Ursus, heiress to the Ursidae Clan, to be just as striking and unique. However, Ursine came out of the womb with a defective eye and a mark that could only mean the work of demons. Being born with such a scar could not mean anything good to the Ursidae Clan.

Ursine was considered a bad omen to the tribe, an accursed charm that would bring misfortune to those around her. Ursus’ brother and wife begged him to leave the child in the forest, feet bound, as a mercy for their tribe. Others suggested that killing her themselves would change their luck completely. Ursus was a strong man who believed in protecting his tribe first and foremost, but his paternal instincts were stronger. He denied their pleas and went to bed, cradling Ursine in his arms.

This was how Ursine grew up; an ominous mark on the clan and a foreboder of ill will. When she walked among her people, they cowered away and made the hand sign to ward off evil. To entertain herself, Ursine shadowed her father – when she was with him, the others wouldn’t dare scowl at her – and explored her surroundings. As she grew older and people became accustomed to her presence, she shadowed them as well and eavesdropped on their conversations.

Eventually, Ursine became a confidant of many of her fellow tribesmen. Tribesmen who thought themselves different, misunderstood, wrong. She sat quietly and listened to their thoughts, consoled them as they cried, and caressed their face until they slept. Publicly, Ursine was disregarded as the tribe’s pariah; but in the night, she was their little blessed secret.

Ashen gray skin that feels like leather on fingertips, clammy and cold to the touch, stretches across a thin frame, clinging to every fissure and fold of bone and muscle. Sobeki’s skin is blemish free, except for the white dip of paint between her brows which shines like snakeskin and feels like the scale of a crocodile. Hair, small cobweb thin wisps, frames her face like dead strands on a corpse. The majority of her locks are snagged in branches and roses gold, tangled around the decorative items until it appears almost as a deliberate artistic chignon du cou. Sobeki has lips that always seem to frown, a flushed pink color dancing at the crevice in which her lips meet. Her lips are situated under a beak-like nose, strong and pointed, regal and intimidating. The most daunting of her appearance is her eyes. Wide, doe-like eyes that are as white as milk; like the eyes of a cataracted dog.

Upon her lithe and graceful frame, Sobeki dresses herself in dull sheening gold that embroiders her dark clothes and wraps around her boney fingers and wrist. Cloth of black and dull gray swathe her full six feet and six inches height. The drag of her robes on the floor disturbs the air and creates a rattling dissonance, a snake slithering on floorboards sound. Her feet are never heard, only that damn sliding sound.

A Dead Woman's Name: The Beginning

Sobeki was not born, she was created, from splinters and scars and blood.

Her creator was many things: a hunter, a woodworker, a miner, and a mortal. His life disappeared before his eyes as he worked until his nailbeds were wet and his skin pruned. Yet, he did not know why he slaved. There was no family for him to feed; there was just him and the howl of wolves, feathers of crows, and whispers of spiders.

The sounds drove him mad, taunted him with their companionship while he suffered in his own silence. He heard their cries of joy when they feasted on a deer, the resounding call of mate to mate, the roars of bears as they played by the brook. He was alone and haunted.

Her creator was not of right mind when he pieced her together, limb by limb.

It was a midsummer night, when the predators woke from slumber and prowled the woods again. They would not stop taunting him with their discordant music, so he left his hut that night with an ax. He slayed every beast he laid his eyes on, splitting their fur and bones with the humble blade of a worn-down ax. He collected the limbs in a rucksack, blood marking his bloody path.

The sounds stopped, but he was still lonely. The creator wanted a wife, to share the last of his years with, and he took the rotting flesh and bones of his prey to create one.

He gave her the torso of a bear, with the legs and arms chopped off and placed in the fire. With the heart of a bear, she would be a ferocious but loving woman. He twined the bodies of spiders and cobweb into thin arms, silver strands streaked with gore. With the arms of spiders she would move elegantly and mesmerizing. He stuffed snakes with the bones of a cougar and affixed them as her legs. She would glide upon this land, unearthly and beautiful. Her head was that of a crow, sewn into the fur of her torso. She would be intelligent, willing to teach him and guide him to enlightenment. Lastly, he plucked the eyes of a wolf – damaged with cataracts – and pushed them into the crow’s sockets. With these eyes, she would never see her dying, repulsive husband.

He named her the most beautiful name he’s ever heard – Sobeki.

Her creator carried her husk around his hut and the woods, talked to her empty shell and fed her the infested meat of her body’s brethren. When he gazed into her eyes, he did not see the emptiness of a doll, but saw a beautiful glowing image that made him cry. At night, he held her rotting amalgamation close to his chest and sobbed her name like a prayer.

She was with him with every step, in body but not in mind.

On his death bed, he held the broken bodies of spiders as he twisted his fingers in hers. Her creator choked back his tears as he stared at his creation, with only love in his heart. With his dying breath, he whispered “Sobeki.”

The milky eyes of a wolf blinked and then closed. For months, they rotted together in silence, until flesh peeled from Sobeki’s bones and fur slipped from her ribcage. Underneath the hideous creation, Sobeki opened her milky eyes once again and standing on her feet, she left.

Sobeki was created from the scars of predators and the misplaced love of an old man. She was always watching him and she understood his pain.

He could shape her with the bones of the dead, attribute her with traits of godliness and beauty, love her with everything he had, but it would not bring back the woman he once loved. Instead, she became a sickly, walking cadaver; a misshapen, repulsive deity not meant to exist.

The Blind Eye Can See: The Interlude

Sobeki is a kind god, a loving god. She has no wrath, no anger, but patience and understanding. That is what she does for those who are misunderstood: she understands.

In the night, she seeks those who need her – need her in the way her creator needed her. She consoles them, she embraces them, shows them the love that she has to give in the way only she can. Sobeki cannot see the ugly that others see, she cannot judge one of things she is ignorant to, so she holds them as they explain.

Sobeki is not a mother, she is not an avenger – she is a counselor, an advisor. When she presses her hand against a mortal’s chest, she feels the same thump, thump, thump that is in hers. She eases their minds and provides companionship to those who have none.

Sobeki knows of their scars, can feel them in their heart and body, but Sobeki sees more than scars on them. She sees won battles and pain that can be lifted.

Sobeki is a friend, a lover, a guardian.

The Darkness of the Ungodly Cave: An Allegory

The gods are discontent with Sobeki. An amalgamation, a jumble of flesh and bones and ungodliness. The Pariahs of Ammit follow her religiously, pray to her in their moments of loneliness, worship a monster who was not meant to be. Sobeki is the error of an old mad man and her touch on the earth is tainted, repulsive.

They cast her away as punishment – penalty for associating her sacrilegious body with their names. Sobeki is sentenced to live in a cave, chained to a rock and stare at the dark walls for as long as they see fit.

But Sobeki is familiar with the darkness and the cold. It is all she has ever known and Sobeki lives quietly for three years in her hole. To punish herself for her wishful thinking, Sobeki subjected herself to three years of meditation without food, drink, or sleep. Sobeki reaches for inner truth until she finds the light in the eyes of her familiars.

Sobeki can see for the first time through the sharp balls of a crow, the wide eyes of a wolf, the eight beads of a spider. Sobeki can see the world and how it is tarnished. Sobeki does not know the tainted. She only knows the sweet embrace of odd ones, the whispered stories of her pariahs, the love she gives and receives.

For a hundred days, Sobeki presses her knees into the rocks and bashes her head against the cave wall. She pushes the unknown from her mind with pain and stupidity until she no longer finds the eyes of her predators, living in blissful ignorance.

The Starkissed Descent: A Transcendence

Sobeki is starkissed, though she did not expect it. She never met the one who her soul belonged to; perhaps, Sobeki did not want to meet them, either. Sobeki only had love to give to her followers, only sought to please those that are misguided and ostracized. There was no room for a soulmate in her heart when she was giving it to the ones who needed it.

Sobeki was torn from her loves, her followers, when the dark gods cast their damned spell. Bitterness enveloped her heart as her memories slowly faded from her mind. It was wrong of them; some of them were misunderstood, Sobeki saw it as she fell, but she did not care in the least. Not when they tore her from those who needed her most.

Sobeki felt a heartbreak that she never felt before as she melted and folded into another being, a mortal being.

She was too late to give her love to Ammit, but she cannot be late for the pariahs. Sobeki will make her way to them, even if she has to enter that ungodly cave once more. She will find them, in this life and the next.

• Eavesdropping: Ursine has spent her whole life eavesdropping on others to learn more about them. She has perfected the art of listening to a conversation while appearing uninterested and deaf to it.
• Memory: Ursine was born with eidetic memory. She is able to easily remember events and recall past conversations. While there is much use for this, Ursine typically uses it to comfort those she advises at night.
• Sewing: When bored, Ursine has to do something with her hands. Because of this, at a young age, Ursine would help her mother stitch to keep herself busy in the idle moments. Eventually Ursine has become rather good at it and she tends to stitch when she is feeling lonely or angry, as it gives her something to do.

• Hunting: Ursine spent much of her time shadowing her father. He took it upon himself to teach her what he knew as she followed him around. One of these things was hunting: he taught her how to track, how to kill her prey, and how to skin them properly to feed the tribe.
• Dual Tomahawks: Ursine's preferred weapons are two tomahawks that she carries on her sides. She is deft and agile when using them, able to aim and throw her tomahawks from long distances as well as engage in close combat.
• Nimble: Ursine is as easy to catch as a water snake, able to weave and dodge with speed and balance. She is in perfect coordination of her body, when one body part feints, the other strikes.

Ability 1: Blind Eyes Can See
"The misunderstood need someone to care for them. Need someone to mend them and bring them peace. I was too late to bring peace to my creator, to ease his mind of loneliness and demented acts. I wish to save those who society frowns upon, and most importantly, show them how to understand themselves."

҉ The Despair: The misunderstood are inconsolable sometimes, unable to handle their feelings. Sobeki fixes that by inducing another emotion to override the current emotion - it's only a temporary fix, but it is a fix. Through a simple touch, Sobeki can make someone feel a small wisp of happiness that is a light in the dark for them.

҉ The Conviction: To be consoled, to be loved and comfortable, the misunderstood must trust in Sobeki. Sobeki cannot make someone trust her, but she can take the small inkling of trust in their heart and augment it. This makes it easier for her to get close to someone and understand them.

҉ The Mending: The first step to understanding someone is empathizing with them and feeling what they feel. In order to do that, Sobeki is able to emotionally connect to others and quite literally empathize with them.

Ability 2: The Doll of Predators
"I must never forget the life that was taken to bring me to the Pariahs of Ammit. They are my makers as much as their murderer is my creator. Even in death, such predators give me their souls."

҉ A Gift of Strength: The predators she was built with give her strength, but only one animal at a time. She can take the ferociousness of a bear, the trickiness of a spider, the intelligence of a crow, the flexibility of a snake, the speed of a cougar, and the instincts of a wolf.

҉ A Lent Mind: Sobeki is able to enter the mind of a predatorial animal. Quite like possessing, Sobeki can see, feel, and touch everything the animal is doing. However, she cannot control the movements or mind of the animal.

҉ A Twisted Will: In times of need, Sobeki can bend the will of predators to her and control them to do her bidding. They can attack her enemy and strike them down, or deliver a message to an old friend. The needs in which they meet is endless.

Ability 3: The Retrogression
"I will return to where I belong when my time is gone. If there is a foe that threatens my companions, I will crush them to pieces and watch them descend into my origin."

҉ Excision: As she was made from the stitch of each limb, Sobeki can take the invisible thread out and replace a limb with a new limb of a magical creature. With this limb, Sobeki gains all the powers it once held and can attribute it to herself.

҉ Amalgamation: A recession of body and mind, Sobeki can return to the form in which she was first created with in order to deal the ultimate damage that she can. This form lends her all the skills and abilities of her makers.

҉ Deterioration: The ultimate power and the ace up her sleeve, Sobeki can end her life as she takes a poisonous other with her. By twisting another's hands in hers, Sobeki is able to cause a rapid deterioration of body. The duo begin to rot alive, together, until the end when they perish. It's a suicidal move, but it is the will of her creator, Ammit, that provides her with peace of mind.
