It is a peaceful day outside your hospital bed. The sun shines as a gentle breeze is ushered through a window as birds chirp to a chorus of beautiful notes. Despite this, the atmosphere inside your room is depressing as it could possibly be as you wait out your days with a terminal illness. Maybe it was cancer that did you in, or some other disease. You might be accepting of your coming fate, or perhaps you've tried struggling against all odds. Whatever it happens to be, what suffering you might have gone through comes to an end as you close your eyes once last time.
For many, this is the end of their tale, only the legacy they left behind is to be remembered. However, you, like others, have been chosen to be part of the few. Death may have claimed you in the past, but you have awoken in an unfamiliar land. Looking around, you see many different races and people--some even waving to you as you've always been there. Looking at yourself, you might even find your appearance had changed--you might be sprouting a pair of ears and tail, or you might have had your gender changed. Whatever answers you try to coerce out of the townsfolk are met with confusion, but they all seem to direct you to one place: the Adventurer's Guild. Should you listen to them, the doors open to a bright and cheerful woman, who asks: "And who are you?"

Welcome to the RP known as An Adventurer's Calling! My name is Poi, and I'll be your GM for the roleplay. I'm looking for a few players that are interested, and if you are, let me explain what this RP is about. Firstly, this RP will be taking influences from various animes, such as KonoSuba, Danmachi and Angel Beats. Essentially, every player character had died in the past, but only the Guild staff and the players themselves know this. Soon after their death, the player characters awake in a fantasy world acting as a pseudo-heaven, where various races and people interact with each other as adventurers and merchants, together exploring unknown lands to make a name for themselves. Once the players reach the Guild headquarters, they'll be given a short test to determine their class before they're allowed to head out in the world and accept missions and jobs posted by the Guild.
Characters can be of any race or gender, but they will start as an apprentice, eventually gaining experience as they complete quests for the Guild, possibly through an experience system that I am debating on implementing. Characters can use any type of weapon from a longsword to a glaive, and magic is also available (although it will need to be known what type and what spells they know). Also, as it hasn't been stated yet, death is possible in this realm, but unlike before, they simply respawn back where they originally "awoke" in the world, albeit drained for a few days unless a resurrection spell has been cast before their "spirit" returned to their spawning location.
Rewards for completed quests will typically consist of gold and gear, but more difficult quests completed by accomplished adventurers might receive such rewards like manors or estates. Additionally, "emergency quests" may take place once in awhile, providing the possibility to make a lot of coin or receive extremely rare loot.
This will be my first time GMing a RP on RPG, so I'm sure I have left out possible information in this. If anyone has questions or concerns, feel free to do a @mention or send me a PM. Should the RP gain enough interest (or perhaps a lot of interest), I will be in the market for a CoGM or two, so keep a look out for that.

The world of Acone has many civilizations, but the city of Southmere happens to be one of the largest. While not a kingdom or an empire itself, many come to the city to test their luck as an adventurer, with crowds flocking to Southmere on a daily basis to join the Adventurer's Guild. As a result, Southmere has become one of the largest hubs of civilization with buildings as far the eye can see. Crime is at a low, allowing businesses to thrive and the Guild to focus on outside problems, which adventurers often assist with when a notice is sent out. Whether this happens to be some lowly boars eating a farmer's crops or a devilish monster, the Guild makes sure that the adventurers are aptly rewarded for their services.
Religion in the world is mostly split between two sets of gods known as the Two Divines, respectively Thele Serine (the god of might and the goddess of justice) and Thele Esari (the goddess of fortune and the god of wisdom), but there is another: Thele Aethel (the goddess of chance and the god of sacrifice), who had been blamed for the Dark Night many years ago. During the Dark Night, the world was preyed upon by many demonic beasts until heroic adventures fought to the supposed source, sealing the gods away in a stone lost to history. While a number of the beasts have been eliminated, some still do remain, with quests involving them reserved for higher-up adventurers.

- As with any RP, all guild rules apply to the RP and those partaking as roleplayers.
- My word is law. CoGMs can be asked for help, and concerns will be considered, but once I make a decision, it is final.
- No godmodding, no overpowered characters, etc. We're all capable roleplayers to know this.
- Romance is allowed, but before it delves into the mature category, fade to black and take it to the PMs.
- Please be active for the sake of the RP. If you must leave for IRL reasons or wish to drop out, please tell us instead of leaving us hanging.
- Players will be limited to one, perhaps two characters. NPCs can be made, but please put effort in to the sheets.
- Characters are restricted to ages 16 to 25. Nothing younger, nor anything older.
- As this is an anime influenced RP, I ask that you only use anime pictures for your characters.
- Format the CS as much as you want, but do not post it in the character tab until it has been accepted.
- I will not accept any sheets that aren't in a spoiler. I will look over them, but they will not be accepted until put in a hider.
- Finally, quality over quanity. I would rather have two to three great paragraphs over a novel from my players.
