I think it would be a cool idea, but unfortunately it doesn't really add up. A human's core temperature is approximately 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit, however, as you get away from their internal organs, that temperature goes down. In order to kill someone by drawing out their heat, a fire bender would in essence need to freeze them by pulling out all heat. That would be like a fire bender freezing water by drawing the heat from the water. It just isn't in fire bending's realm of influence.

But then again you could go to the spiritual aspect of it and have a fire bender draw the spirit's heat or energy out of one's chakras. But that's closer to spirit/energy bending.

Sorry about the idea, just rewatching the show, and I am in middle of season 3. Thinking of how I would use those abilities. (Don't know why but I do that with almost all shows.)

@December, This is technically possible. Or at least, reading chakra and chi through firebending. It was demonstrated in season 2 of LoK. Both Water and Fire have been shown to have a healing subskill; Water mends the body, and fire can (at least) diagnose the spirit. While a firebender would be unable to freeze someone, they might be able to cure chi-blocking or personality disorders through "force of will"

@pandapolio That's good for us. Though keep in mind we've never seen a firebender cool anything lower than ambient temperature. Even the lava that Sozin cooled was still hotter than the surrounding air. It seems to be more akin to the techniques used to defend oneself against other people's fire, rather than bloodbending.

@angelofoctober well we aren’t exactly doing refugee thing at this point, but any character can certainly be a bender. We just also want some nonbenders to keep things interesting

I'd still like the Jerk with a Heart of Gold to be a fire bender or water bender. Something like an ice bender because he's a jerk and as cold as ice. lolo. I am kind of kidding.

@angelofoctober Well our story begins in the Si-Wong desert and the plot is very travel based, but I imagine the world looking more like a modern world, since the technology we're using is a cleaner version of what they had in the 70s-80s, though it might be underdeveloped in some areas, such as the desert and the Southern and Northern water tribe (and the swamp lands). As far as fashion, I've been working on some concepts, but basically I've been trying to do what Korra does as far as giving an Avatar twist to the fashion they had in that era. I only have a female water tribe example as of right now but I'll try to create at least examples for all the nations.
